Modern, sculpture-filled Thai restaurant serving carefully plated noodles, curries & more.
I got a Door dash delivery from Sen Thai and it was incredible! We ordered the Yellow Curry, Chashu Tonkotsu Ramen, Crab Rangoons and on a whim added the Corn Todnum. Everything was sooo good! The broth on the ramen had such a rich deep flavor - you can tell it was cooked for hours with love, just salty and sweet enough. Best crab rangoons I have had in a while. And the Corn Todnum were a win - great taste and texture even with the time it took for delivery. I will definitely order from Sen Thai again!!!
Not sure if I would call this drunken noodle on the menu as it made with yellow lo mein noodle. It should be made with flat rice noddle. The pad kapao was water down like a soup and portion was small. Not favorable or good tasting. Both dishes were salty. This is far from being called Thai food. Maybe their other dishes are better given the good reviews. There are better Thai restaurants near by. Probably will not be back.
We come into town once a year for a convention and eat here every night! The food is delicious, authentic, and high quality. It’s hard to choose but our favorites are the Crying Tiger Beef Salad, all of the sushi, and the Golden Shrimp. The service is amazing and always friendly. If you are in town on a busy weekend, make sure to make a reservation because this restaurant is the place to be. Thank you to everyone at Sen Thai for another great weekend!
I feel sick so i got ramen. The ramen was so salty. The server came ask for us but i just got eaten noodles and my husband said yes and i didn't answered cause im not even tasting all of it. The noodles is good but the soup is so salty even it was broth it was way more salty than the regular ramen i've eaten. Idk cheng or jing the server, she knew i just got noodles and never eaten anything inside the ramen cause the soup was so salty i just had one bite of noodles and one sip of soup i waited for her to came out to tell it was salty but the service with her and the manager is not so nice!!! IT WAS A WASTE OF TIME TALKING TO THE MANAGER SHE THOUGHT I EATED A LOT!! 😡 WTH SUCH A SHAME ASIAN RESTO DIDNT HAVE POOR SERVICE LIKE THIS!! 😤🤬 IM DISAPPOINTED! 👎🏻
Great food; fresh sushi and wonderful flavors. Our server was wonderful.
I recently dined at this restaurant, and while the food was absolutely amazing, the service left much to be desired. We absolutely loved the flaming roll and the soups we ordered; both were flavorful and well-prepared. However, the service was incredibly slow. We were left with empty water glasses for quite a while, and after asking multiple times, I finally got a refill.
The real dealbreaker, though, came when our server cleared our table. Instead of thoughtfully taking our dishes and clearing the table, she stacked up all the chopsticks, silverware, and soup spoons on a single platter and carelessly dumped them into the center of the table, leaving us to stare at a pile of dirty utensils. It was loud, rude, and disappointing.
Although I’ll definitely be back for the sushi (which is outstanding), I’ll make sure to avoid sitting in this server's section next time. The food is worth it, but the service needs significant improvement.
We ate at Sen today. Normally we are very satisfied with the experience. Today my wife ordered the Cashew Nut Noodle. It did not have any cashews or raisins. My wife did not want to complain but I felt you should know.

Had a bad experience here. Food wasn’t good and the service was bad too. Drunken noodles were really bad.
I went to enjoy my friends birthday, but I am completely ill with the service and the lack of respect they have for their costumers. The waitress used my friends BOYFRIENDS card info to follow him on Instagram. And when she called to complain, the manager couldn’t care less. I can’t imagine what would’ve happened if they came on their anniversary. We treated the waitress with nothing but respect and kindness, and she went behind our backs and used the information on his card to her advantage. Ridiclous. I cannot fathom the unprofessionalism.
I used to go here almost every year to celebrate my birthday or tell my friends to come here for their birthday, however after my last visit I hope everyone is aware of what happens with the service.
I went here on January 24, 2025, with my boyfriend to celebrate my birthday. My server was Naddie.
I enjoyed the food and service UP UNTIL she took gave us the check, took my bf card, looked up his name on instagram, and decided to follow him. Absolutely disgusting and shameful. I was nothing but respectful and nice to her and I would never write a review but this is not just unprofessional but distasteful.
LADIES PLEASE BEWARE OF NADDIE.
I ended up calling back asking for a manager to get the situation handled but "manager" I spoke seemed to care less and shrug it off. I have yet to hear back from them.
I ordered through door dash so I can't speak to the service or atmosphere, but the drunken noodle w/ tofu (medium spicy) taste super yummy with just the right amount of kick. Had some hiccups with door dash delivery, but the food was still warm when I got ahold of it.
Good food.
I'm giving 4 stars because I can't really rate the atmosphere on the inside. I've only done takeout. But nothing seems off to me. I will say from a pick perspective it's a very dicey parking situation, and it would be nice to have at least 1 to 2 designated spots for pick-ups.
My go-to for dinner is the Gyoza, the Yellow Curry w/Chicken (medium spicy).
The food was great and fresh. The food was at the table very fast.
Love this place!
It was excellent all around.
Awesome food
My husband and I came in last night to take our friend out to celebrate her birthday. They were busy, but they got us to a table right away. Once again they did not disappoint. The crab Rangoon appetizer was delicious, and the Tom Ga soup was full of fresh veggies and perfectly seasoned. The chicken salad was on point, and the drunken noodles were just the right amount of spicy and savory. I asked them to surprise my friend with a birthday cake and to put it on my bill, and they did not charge me for what ended up being a delicious dessert for her!
June was our waitress, and she was extremely attentive. I drank a ton of water, but my glass hardly ever was empty because she was so on it.
I am giving this place five stars because the experience, the ambience, the quality of food, and the consistency every time I have dined is always beyond reproach.
If a conference or travels find you downtown, this is a wonderful spot to grab a high-quality meal.

I am not a huge fan of the entire menu, but their yellow curry is unbelievably good. Super rich and filling, I could probably eat it every day
Serving size is too small for the price
Average Thai, drunken noodles just OK, tiger beef salad lacking flavor, Thai spring rolls better than most places.
Everything was amazing! We shared a Ramen bowl and a Sexy roll! The atmosphere was romantic, and the service was on point! Great date night place.
The good vegetarian food made up for the lack of atmosphere
Great service, generous portions, and tasty food
The waitress seemed unmotivated, and the food was just okay.
Great place to eat!
I'm terribly allergic to onions and this place accommodated me so graciously, I'd eat there everyday if I lived closer. Fresh ingredients, super kind staff. My friends loved their meals too!
Pretty Standard Asian Cuisine. Definitely, great ambience when night came. I had the drunken noodles, no inspiration for me, was just a pile of noodles with run of the mill meat at any hibachi shop. Price of seventeen was too much.
Positive was the scene, very cool Street side
restaurant.
Wonderful thai and sushi options. Decent prices. Great appetizers. Nice full bar with large TV. Seating options on two floors.
I ordered a few of my typically favorite dishes and was very underwhelmed. Tom Kha soup was a little watery. The eel rolls were pretty salty.
The crab rangoons were... serviceable.
I didn't finish any of my items.
I'm just hoping I don't have food poisoning later tonight. Ugh.
Great food. Very busy. So took a little longer to get food but it was good.

Delicious. I was in town for just 5 days and ended up here twice. It was fantastic.
Food was great and they have the best Tom Yum I've ever had
Decent place for Thai food in St.Louis downtown area, Some of the main dish flavors were lacking but the appetizers and Tom Yum soup was very tasty. Recommend this place once and nice atmosphere to dine-in with ample street parking.
Good food. Friendly service. (My first post while visiting some time ago).
My updated: (August 27th, 2024)
My views on this establishment has changed over time. I have noticed the new staffing and it isn't as it was before. I use to really enjoying coming here. They lack the great customer service that I greatly appreciated. 😕
As observant as I tend to be, I have noticed the difference in applied customer service to a particular group of 'peoples' over another. Good business is accounted for when great service is applied to ALL considered customer(s). I think I'll give this place up for now.
Keep in wisdom, you never know whom you're serving.
Speed in for lunch on a Saturday. Everything was delicious. Kevin is a gem.
Incredible food, TINY portions.
Food is always amazing
Everything was good... nothing wowed us but no complaints. Service was fast and friendly. They have vegetarian options, which was a plus for me. Very reasonably priced.
Went for the first time today at lunch and the meal was superb. Flavorful, right amount of spice, and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the yellow curry.
Every time we come back, the food and service are very good, and I've tried several different things.
Food was decent. Was here as part of a large party and they absolutely refused to split the check, so 10 people had to figure out how to split the bill... it's 2024, feels like being able to individualize a check should be a standard option.
I ordered take out and they got my order wrong . So now I’m stuck at work with the wrong order. I’ve eaten here before and the food is very great . The service is horrible.
I’ve spent many hours in this eatery and have always left satisfied. It’s my go-to place for anyone coming into town. They have a wide variety of Asian cuisine and full bar service. Staff is always friendly and attentive, hosts a very calm environment, and easy walking distance from a lot of St. Louis attractions.
Best Thai in St Louis! I'll be going back the next time I'm in town!
Beautiful atmosphere, food was TO DIE FOR and very reasonably priced!
Sen Thai was the first place I ever had "drunken noodles" (Kee Mao) nearly 20 years ago, long before I moved to Thailand, and I fell in love with them immediately. So it was interesting to go back and try them again. The place has changed locations a couple of times over the years, I believe, and now sits directly on Washington Ave. Despite its location, the prices are actually a bit cheaper than others in the area, and the portions are massive. What I like about this place is they don't claim to be authentic anything, but instead their menu has different sections labeled "Thai-inspired" and "Japanese-inspired" etc.
We ordered the Kee Mao (drunken noodles), Yum Nua (Crying Tiger Salad with Steak) and Thai Fried Rice. None of them tasted exactly like they do in Thailand, but they also didn't taste like they do in other Thai restaurants in the US. Instead, they were unique and all of them were delicious. For the Kee Mao, they use Chinese-style egg noodles rather than rice noodles, and it works well. The salad was loaded with tender steak.
I was initially worried about the spice factor because our visit here was somewhat impromptu so I did not have a chance to bring my own supply of chilies, but it was no problem because the waitress gladly made me some "prik nam plar" loaded with chilies, so I was able to add the spice I needed for maximum enjoyment.
Hands down the best food I’ve had in a long time and fair priced! The pot stickers are to die for, the crab Rangoons are amazing! My husband had a beef and rice bowl which was so flavorful and delicious and I had the fried lobster roll which is one of the best sushi rolls I’ve ever had! Our server Kevin was great and the food came out fast and hot! This restaurant is about 45 minutes from our home but so worth the drive! We will 100% be back!
I like that this place doesn't pretend to be "authentic" anything, but instead they say "Thai-inspired" etc. Also, it was the first place I had Kee Mao years ago before I moved to Thailand, so it was good to come back and try it again. It is not the same as in Thailand, but it's still really good. I asked for Prik Nam Plar (fish sauce with chilies) and the waitress made me a perfect one loaded with chiiles. Surprisingly, the prices are also OK considering the location. No complaints.
My daughter and I came here tonight to have sushi for dinner. She ordered rice and we got edamame to share for our appetizer. Our server, Kevin, it was great. We really appreciated all of his help.
I ordered two rolls and really enjoyed them. I got the yellowtail roll and one of the specialty rolls. The specialty roll had salmon inside and fried crunchy on the top. The restaurant was super clean and the staff was very friendly.
Absolutely amazing food. I’ve been impressed with their sushi, ramen bowls, and Japanese rice bowls. For appetizers, I highly recommend the Miso soup and crab Rangoon. Do not skip on the Thai iced tea or fried cheesecake for dessert. Friendly staff, good portions. A little ok the pricey side, but definitely still reasonable. Go to spot when family comes to visit.
I love this menu! Having both Japanese & Thai options is so exciting and offers so many choices. Love the tempura shrimp rolls & the drunken noodles!
Excellent food and service.
Food is perfectly tender and delicious
It was ok. It did not match the reviews. Perhaps they were off their game that day.
We were there for about an hour because our server kept disappearing. There was hardly any patrons (6-8 including us). Took 20+ mins to place an order and get drinks in. Had to flag down someone else to get our check. Nice presentation on the Sen Thai but the rolls were ok.
The food was good, as usual. Our waiter was promp, polite and informative .
Lobster roll is always amazing! Everything about the service and food is great, year after year.
I spent a little over $100 for two people, but granted we did order two entrees, three sushi rolls, and dessert. Our server, Marco, was not good. He took a long time getting our drink order and didn't come to take our dinner order until our appetizer was brought over. Our sushi sat on the sushi bar for 10 minutes before we ended up getting it ourselves and another server brought our kitchen food out to our table. He was MIA except to ask us "are we still doing okay" after we were almost done with the food and to notice my water glass was empty. Our table was the only one he had up until our order was already in. There were two other tables in the whole restaurant.
The food was pretty good. The kitchen food had a really great flavor. We tried the spicy calamari; the calamari pieces were tender and had a great spicy mayo drizzled on top. I ordered the Pad Garlic and Pepper with tofu. That dish was amazing. It was so flavorful. It comes with broccoli, carrots, and mushrooms and I actually enjoyed all the veggies. The sushi was mid, with the sushi rice being too densely packed and under seasoned. Their salmon skin is fried to perfection though.
I would come back for the Thai dish I had, but I'll probably skip the sushi...and Marco too.
Great food!
Always good food and friendly service
Probably one of the best quality food and places I’ve been to in a while for asian styled food
The food was absolutely amazing. My wife shared a sexy roll for an appetizer. I had the Pad Ka Pao and my wife had the Kao Soi Curry Noodle. I honestly can't say which dish was my favorite, very hard to choose between the two. My spice level request was a 3/5 and it was spicy, so keep that in mind. They have a great drinks menu as well. I would definitely return next time I'm in the area. The prices were also very fair. Great atmosphere and great service too.
It was nice my first time going too.
Customer service could use a little work
The best Crab Rangoon and pineapple fried rice in the city. Be sure to check out their sweet and sour dipping sauce!
Hi! I may have only wrote 2 negative reviews in my life.
I have tried my best to not do this after countless rude encounters but I have to wonder do they even care?! Maybe they feel people would spend their money no matter how piss poor their service is!
On several different occasions I have watched them treat people like crap & I would say that’s not cool & the waiter or waitress would smile & keep moving.
Very different when it happens to me & my child.
We eat here 3-4 a week!!!! Tons of money supporting their business! I ordered to go thinking we would not have time to enjoy inside but our program finished sooner.
My son asked the young lady if we can get it for here instead. She said yes I’ll ask them to plate it. The owner proceeded to interject and said no you ordered to go so you cannot eat inside. I said I tipped and do not mind tipping again to use the table if that’s the issue.
She proceeded to say no & begin telling the young lady to bag it.
My son said I just wanted to enjoy it fast. She said no. You ordered online so you cannot eat in here.
I paid you!!! I tipped you! For walking in & grabbing my own food! I offered additional tips and you refuse. For what exactly?! She said because my workers don’t get paid. I just offered to tip them after spending $50 on two rolls. Tip them on top of the tip.
I begin to explain how frequently we visit & my son is standing here confused as to why you are refusing our business & I will not return because this isn’t the first time you treated people poorly. She said that’s fine! I said wow!
Long story short, I will not allow my child to watch someone put me out of establishment, literally opened the door & ushered me out with my bag to ever return & give them our business!!!!!
I truly believe these companies feel that we owe them something. I know I’m one person & I will stop nothing but the truth of the matter if we remain silent & let customer service continue to die, we will be no better off than them!
Sorry for the rant!
I love this place I’ve been a few times and my only complaint is not being able to sit upstairs
Food is authentic and delicious! Absolutely the best!
I absolutely love this location and the vibe of this place. Some of the servers cold be more on it when it comes to service, but other than that the food is BOMB and the portions are more than enough.
Best for Thai in st.louis
Fantastic all around!
The woon sen tom yum soup was great, ask for extra spicy to get enough heat
Food was amazing
love this place. I live right next to this place so i go here a lot. the best thing on the menu has to be either the chicken pad thai or the yellow curry. today i got the yellow curry. the curry was spicy but not too spicy, just the right amount of kick. the curry sauce itself is very creamy and coconuty so if you don't like coconut you probably won't like this dish but for anyone else it's a must. staff is friendly and helpful, restaurant has a really cool look to it and it is very clean. definitely recommend it if your looking for asian food in this area.
It is a great place to enjoy the company of friends and people watch. The food and drinks are great!
Our waitress took longer than normal to greet us. When she finally did, she didn't give her name. To sum it up, she wasn't welcoming at all. The food, on the other hand, was A1.
Absolutely delicious. The Tom Yum Ramen Shrimp is the definition of a warm hug in a bowl.
Customer service was horrible, from the greeter to the wait staff. If there is a y at the door, the objective is to GREET customers going and coming and have a polite smile or look instead of looking like you are forced to be there. Also, it would be great to teach your waiters what’s being sold on the menu. It really sucked that we asked three times if the ramen broth was vegetarian and she was unsure, then just said it was and turned out IT WAS BEEF BROTH causing one of the persons in the party get extremely sick.
Kevin was so friendly and attentive. All of our food was outstanding!! Excited to come back again!!!
Their speciality is the service and the people working there. They were so kind to have my family for dinner late, at the end of their business hours, that made our experience special. We're a very glad for the kindness and prompt service.
Ordered takeout. Was done fast and it was delicious! I ordered the Panang curry. Creamy and spicy. Couldn’t put the fork down.
Friendly service, tasty fresh food, and good value for the price. Was happily surprised at how large the sushi rolls were!
Server forgot the hot sauce so I had to track her down but that was the only blip. Fairly prompt lunchtime service. The server was good about getting the "heat" 🌶️ levels correct for us and the dishes were great. I had corn fritters and I think Pa D Ma. All very good. My shrimp was cooked perfectly.
Amazing food! The teriyaki salmon was to die for 😋
Kinda fancy. The food was tasty, but I ordered Thai hot and it was not very spicy.
The service from Kevin was perfect, and the food was great as well,I will definitely visit again!
Beware scamming waiters, adding 40 % tip
My total was $74.01 for 2 bowls of Shrimp Tom Yum Soups, order of Shrimp Drunken Noodles, and 1 order of Gyoza for deliveryNEITHER of my 2 orders of Shrimp Tom Yum had NO SHRIMP, both bowls are HALF EMPTY, One bowl had 3 pieces of mushroom the rest was ONLY broth, the other bowl had a NO SHRIMP and 4 pieces of mushroom the rest was ONLY broth!!! The order of Drunken Noodles was 1/4 of the size that it is when I order it in the restaurant. I called the restaurant the person who answered the phone said there was no manager and she could help me, I asked what her job title was and she responded with another question when asking again she again responded with another question when asked her again she finally responded she was an assistant manager on duty. Why she didn't start with that I don't understand why she wouldn't. After explaining why I was calling about my order she asked my name and number and said "we will call you tomorrow!" When I asked who"we" was referring to she repeated this cycle again repeated several times until the OWNER SURPRISINGLY came on the phone when I told him that his assistant manager said there was no manager above her in the building. Yet he was close enough to her to intercept the conversation... He told they were closed without asking why I called, and then said to call Uber Eats for a refund! I explained to him that Uber Eats delivered my food on time and my problem was not with the delivery but with the quality and size of the servings of my orders were not what I ordered with missing ingredients, the 2 bowls of soups were missing shrimp in the shrimp Tom Yum and only half full and the order of Drunken Noodles was a 1/4 of the size than what I get in the restaurant. I have pictures but couldn't find away to upload them here. The owner said he was off tomorrow and would ask to see of the cooks tonight remembered my order and would have someone call me if they did!!! I said I was willing to wait until he was in again for him to call me back himself after he talk to his cooks. He HUNG UP ON ME!!! I called back got the voicemail as I was leaving my message I was AGAIN HUNG UP ON!!! This happened THREE MORE TIMES!!! I was self employed for 13 years my parents were self employed for over 30 years. I've NEVER spoke to or met an owner of a business that didn't want the opportunity to listen to his customers! I also never met the owner of a business who wants a delivery service to refund an order when the delivery arrived before the estimated time when that was not the problem with my order it was the quality of the food that was the issue/problem!!! A food service quality problem turned into A DISTURBING customer service and food quality issues that the owner didn't want to listen to our care about!!! My advice is save yourself the ULTIMATE DISAPPOINTMENT with the food as well three EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY DISAPPOINTMENT WITH THERE OWNER, STAFF and how NETHER cared to help there once loyal customer!!!!
We came here during our spring break vacation and loved everything about this place . The food was scrumptious, amazing ambience and the proximity to our hotel in downtown couldn’t be better . After a full day of fun with kids, it was great to have a place nearby to just walk to. My kids loved the food too . The staff is super friendly and were very kind to get our food out super quick . Absolutely recommend the Spicy Calamari and the Panama curry .
Highly recommend.
Great food. The service was ok. Just needs more attention to detail.
I've eaten here and I've also gotten takeout. I honestly like getting the takeout better. Nothing wrong with the place I just don't love how open it is. Food is pretty good I just like eating it at home better.
food was good. The server was not good.
Crab Rangoon and spicy salmon roll were to die for. Will be back.
I love this place! I go about once a week just for the calamari and an Old Fashioned. Everything I've has there has been very good. From the sushi to the noodle dishes. And the service is great! I usually go alone, so I sit at the bar. The bartenders are so sweet and very attentive. I have never had to wait for a drink refresh. They are super on it. Definitely will continue to be a regular!
They got a great range of dishes that anyone can find something to eat, great date spot.
Food is so-so… Stopped by here for dinner on a work trip. The location and decoration of the restaurant is good, but the food is disappointing. I ordered the spring rolls, soup, and a Thai stir-fry. All 3 lacked flavor and very much Americanized.
Sen has become a dining staple for us when visiting St. Louis. The staff is very helpful and are understanding of dietary restrictions. The service is pretty quick and the food is delicious. Their drinks are great too.
I like to try different Thai places across St Louis hoping to not be disappointed. This was one of my best experiences yet!
The portions for delivery were quite large.
My toddler loved the fried rice - it was tasty!
Husband and I had some sushi and tried Panang Curry and Pad Thai - both were really good and spicy. Definitely recommend!!
Good food, extensive menu. Cool vibe.
Got take out so not sure about the service, but ordered the bao buns and ramen. Bao was really good but nothing special you couldn't get at any ramen shop. The ramen broth was good but everything else about it was extremely plain. Some of the worst ramen I've had in STL. I paid for an extra egg and wish I hadn't since it was a plain, overcooked boiled egg. Ramen eggs are generally lava egg yolk and marinated, and usually my favorite part of a ramen bowl. Super disappointed about the egg. Pork was alright but very plain as well. If you're looking for flavor this ain't it. Definitely not worth the high price tag for a bowl of ramen.
Doordash order was ready when I arrived
We were really happy with this place. We’re just passing through the city and wanted Thai food. The food was fast and really flavorful. Portions were large. Service was quick and friendly. We didn’t have the sushi but the curry and noodle dishes were great.
The service is great and they have a great selection of food! Every time we go there the food is phenomenally seasoned and the meat is very tender!
Good chicken pad Thai. I would recommend adding spice. Ordering just as is very mellow. I like my pad Thai medium spicy. I asked for it and it definitely had no spice to it.
Maybe the waiter misunderstood me but I would recommend adding spice to the dish. Overall good food and experience. Check it out!
They are racist and very judgemental they have poor service to doordashers who is just trying to make they money they even threatened me when all I was trying to do was pick up a doordash order told me I looked like I was trying to steal the customer food.
Food was amazing!!
Food is delicious. Orders are always accurate. Everyone is knowledgeable and friendly.
Best place to get sushi and Thai. We take our entire family there for special occasions. They get super busy on the weekends so make sure you make reservations in advance.
We always enjoy dinners here! The drinks are affordable and food is delicious. I recommend the spicy edamame
First time in St Louis and giving this place a try. Food was delicious! Place was quite busy during the dinner rush and service was excellent with our to go orders ready quickly. We prefer the spicier side and the noodles could definitely have been more spicier but was flavourful. Would definitely visit again and try other dishes on the menu!
Service was exceptional. We ordered bao, rangoons, spring rolls for apps. Delicious. Tom yum Ramen shrimp was outstanding! The pad thai, however, was a disappointment. It had no spice and lacked flavor. Overall a good experience and would eat there again.
My family and I decided to try some local choices while visiting St. Louis. Sen Thai did not disappoint. The Crab Rangoon was some of the best I've ever had, spring rolls were a solid option, entrées ranged from Teriyaki Chicken to Drunken Noodle, no complaints whatsoever. We decided to go out of our comfort zone and try 3 different desserts: Lychee on ice - great flavor, weird texture; Moki ice cream - very good but strange outer layer; Xangos Cheesecake - it's cheesecake, of course it was good.
We would definitely go back.
