Neighborhood restaurant dishing up Thai standards & specialties to eat-in or delivery.
The food is pretty good! Came on a weekday evening and there was plenty of seating. The atmosphere is beautiful and I absolutely love the artwork. There’s also parts of a tuktuk on the back wall.
Food was good. It’s definitely a good spot to visit in the area if you’re craving Thai.
2️⃣ visit: I wonder if things changed a little bit or we just didn’t pick the right dishes. This time everything was good but pretty average. Everything was like classic. But still, good prices and big portions!
The flavor of chicken wings was good but the meat was slightly dry.
Crispy pork was kinda overcooked. But still good overall, and the taste was on the sweet side.
The food was 4 but 5 for staff and the price. I did Pad kee mao (fried noodles), duck added, and Som tam Thai (green papaya salad) to-go.
✨I like the noodles a lot and will recommend it with adding duck! The portion was huge and the duck they added was more than I expected. The skin was still kinda crispy when I had the meal after a 40-min walk.
🥗The green papaya salad was not that impressive compared to the noodles. The flavor was not enough but the portion was hug too. It even became my dinner side dish on the next few days lol.
Would like to dine-in next time with friends
A great, unassuming Thai place on Vernon Ave! The food was very good and the prices were reasonable. The portion sizes were perfect, and the menu is extensive. There were options for both conventional and traditional Thai food. We came here on a Saturday night and we were seated immediately with no wait or reservation.
My only complaints are about the interior - the layout is a bit awkward/not intimate, because there's a huge open space in the middle of the restaurant. The tables are also a bit small. However, overall it's a nice quaint atmosphere, and I would definitely come back!
So I’ve been frequenting this place for many years because I work in the area. The food is delicious and they get it done pretty fast. Never had an issue till today. I ordered two summer rolls and pad broccoli. I took a bite out of summer roll and all was good. It was delicious. I got one more bite in and that’s when hell broke loose. I bit down on something so hard my tooth rattled. I immediately spit it out and it was a fricken staple? Or some piece of metal. Yes a piece of my tooth came out with it. I immediately took the piece of metal and brought it to them and the manager was apologetic. But he said these things can happen- and refunded me my lunch. Ok. So I left work (lost 7 hours of pay) to go to my dentist as an emergency visit. She took X-rays and showed me where my tooth was cracked. She had to fill it in and told me if it still hurts in 1-2 weeks, we need to do a root canal. I am beyond livid that something like this happened. Yes these things can happen and I know it wasn’t intentional- like if I found a hair in my food, whatever it’s not the end of the world but tuktuk literally cracked my tooth. What if I swallowed that piece of metal and it tore up my esophagus? Or what if this happened to a child? Hopefully my tooth heals and all will be ok- but if I need more treatment, I am bringing my bills to them. Their food is good as long there isn’t anything extra in it.
Always amazing!!
Had good vegetarian options, and the drinks and desserts are quality too
THE BEST THAI FOOD IN LIC. Such a comfy and aesthetic spot. Food is exceptional especially the Khee Mao… perfect amount of spice and savoriness. Service is also outstanding where they’re very welcoming while not overbearing Definitely a must-try restaurant, definitely my new go-to.
try not to sit near the entrance but other than that nothing to complain about standard viet
Byob on Wednesdays+great food! Can't beat that combo!
We were in the area and looking for a Thai restaurant and stumbled upon Tuk Tuk. I had the Chicken Pad Thai and it was excellent! Would recommend!
I can't remember the name of what I got but it had chicken and rice in it and it was fantastic!
Excellent food, very consistent in all my visits, attentive service and well decorated interior. Has a whole page of spicier authentic dishes that you see less often in US restaurants.
Wide variety of Thai food and good service! It’s easy for everyone to find something they’ll enjoy — my favorite is the Khao Soi! I’d recommend calling ahead to make a reservation for weekend nights.
I like the food but service needs to be improved
best thai in LIC

I loved it! My friend didn't but idk how anyone wouldn't like how good the pork belly was
👌👌👌👌
They have one of the best massaman curry.
Great food and great service. Tuk Tuk never disappoints!

The food is fabulous. I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years and the food has never disappointed.
The service is ok. Nothing to rave about.
The place is starting to feel and look dated. The tables are wobbly and the floors look greasy. They need to clean better and invest in tables.
Will continue coming back and recommending.

Solid thai.
One of the best spots in LIC! We eat tuktuk at least once a week. Every dish is more delicious than the next. Big fans of the Boat Noodles, Som Tam Thai Salad, and Pad Meo Mao.
The interior design of the restaurant is awesome is a custom painting of LIC with a Thai twist covering their walls. The service is always excellent too!
Get the mango sticky rice in the summer!

Pineapple fried rice is AWSOME
Family friendly,
The business owner very kind.
Great food great service.
I support local business in long island city.
This place is an LIC gem. I love tuktuk!! All the bad reviews are bad vibes. Support local business!!
New look wow
There are a lot of fantastic Thai spots around the city. This one is fine. Food was good enough that I would go back if I was in the area, but wouldn’t seek it out.
it was very unpleasant service.
Great food and service.
The waitress was friendly with excellent service. I would go again when I am in the neighborhood.
Ordered the Kau Gling (stir-fried beef dish). Flavor was ok, but it gave me food poisoning.
NYC has a lot of “run of the mill” Thai restaurants that cover all the bases, but after recently visiting Thai Town in LA, Tuk Tuk is still slinging the best and most elevated Thai food in NYC. For instance, I wasn’t expecting to get 5 or 6 shrimp in a Tom Yum soup last night. And theres an emphasis on detail for the curry dishes and specialty items like one time ordering roast duck. A very well rounded experience. I wish this place had more restaurants around Queens or the boroughs!!
Tuk Tuk is my go to place in my neighbourhood. I have done take out and dine in, my experience has been great every time. I love the crispy tofu here and the Massaman curry with tofu.
Honest place. Good food, service was fine and great ambiance.
The store owner is very bad and they always treat people badly

The noodle was really good. Spicy, yes, but I love spicy food.
The curry puff was actually sweet. A surprise to me, but I was enjoying it. They made better curry puff than me. I was very happy about that.
It is a great place to visit.
My go to Asian
The best thai food spot in NY. The food is excellent and tasty. The staff is the friendliest in NY. Prices are decent for NY. You'll never have a bad dining experience here. I've been coming here for 15 years.
One of the better restaurants in the LIC neighborhood. I have to say that I always find that Thai food is always better in person rather than take-out, and Tuk Tuk is no exception.
I prefer some of their more authentic specials, and they have some of the usual suspects, such as the Roti, Pad Thais, curries, and more. The service is very good and I'm usually pleased that I'm always able to usually get a seat if I walk-in. I recommend the Mee-Kiew-Hang, it's one that's not well known but since I've discovered it, it's the one I always order.
We love Tuk Tuk! It is our go-to Thai spot in the neighborhood. The food is always delicious and the family meals are HUGE for the price!
I've been coming here since the early 2010s. Food is constantly great. Highly recommend if you're looking for Thai in the area.
Food portions were nice for the price, although very few vegetarian and vegan options for a Thai restaurant. Appetizers were REALLY small, wouldn't recommend getting.
This neighborhood mainstay has been a part of my life for many years. The food is reliably delicious, prices are reasonable, and the service is wonderful. I'm a big fan of the yum vegetarian duck salad, which is one of the few mock meat dishes I genuinely enjoy. Other highlights include the roti, Thai salmon, noodle dishes, and a dish called "egg bomb"
Awesome food and people every time.
Fabulous authentic Thai food. Best spring rolls ever and nice varied menu. Great service.
Delicious and good service
Was disappointed by the food here especially for the price you pay. If you are really into Thai food. This will not impress you.
Great noodles!
Nice Asian food also for vegetarian and vegan. Service was good
Tuk Tuk is one of my go to spots for duck.
The quality of the food is not the same, prices are up tremendously and i was asked to throw my bottle of water, so the strong message herefrom. The restaurant to their clients is that we MUST spend money on them, being asked to throw your water is outrageous and ridiculous. Won't be going here again. Parking is just impossible and fighting to get one to get this service is not worth it
Always consistent and always delicious Thai food.
Enjoyable food in a nice atmosphere with friendly staff. Really recommend Tuk Tuk.
Great lunch specials. Attentive and quick service! I enjoyed the eggplant Basil with tofu; the lunch portion size was good. Skip the Thai iced tea.
Great every time
Hands down best pad Thai I’ve ever had. It’s my reference.
Delicious Thai food
Not the cheapest Thai food but the food is so good. Staff is sweet and attentive. One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to in New York.
Tuk Tuk has good vegetarian options. We had roti-massaman, hot pot dumplings and fried tofu. Appetizers were decent, but main course was great. We ordered the vegan curry with vegetables and basil fried rice. Basil fried rice is a must try.
Staff is friendly and the restaurant is kid friendly. Thai iced tea was good.
Disgusting food that is stale. Manager claims the vegetables here are fresh and blames the delivery time for the food still "cooking" making the food over cook and become stale. This does not sound right. I asked for the order to be remade and they refused to do so. Do not recommend.
Great
The food is tasty (a bit salty) and the atmosphere is nice. The low star is for how the restaurant try to make money (or maybe it’s simply the waitress wants customer to order more) out of every opportunity:
I ordered the reasonable amount of food (soup and entree) for myself and a glass of Thai Tea. When I requested that the Thai Tea be served with ice cubes on the side, as I have done in many other decent restaurants without issue, I was told “we do not do that”. This left me feeling like I was being short-changed and essentially paying for a beverage with a higher price that was half-filled.
If a customer pays for a full price of the beverage, they expect to receive it as such, without the beverage being diluted by half glass of ice cubes. By refusing to serve the drink without ice cubes, it seems like they are intentionally selling a product that is not up to its full potential.
I love coming to eat here. The food is excellent and the service is kind and fast! We recently ordered online and was not disappointed either. The food actually arrived earlier than expected.
Discriminates and unfriendly towards service dogs. Less than 3 seconds of entering, the manager power walks over and says no animals. I said my Corgi is a service animal. He immediately asks for paperwork even though by law he can't ask for it. I showed him my dog's paperwork just to bypass him. He reluctantly sat us down in a corner. Then a minute later asks us to move to the back of the place so that customers don't feel uncomfortable. The minute we sat down, my dog only sat and laid down. The only person that's uncomfortable is this manager. We got up and left.
Boat noodles and the like soda drink were too sweet. The roti masaman was delicious. Kind of want to come back here and get the masaman curry. As others have said, great aesthetics and great service
Best Thai around this area
Very good and affordable
We were already full when we went to this place. The decor is really pretty. Run by a Thai family.
We weren't really hungry so just ordered the soup and curry puff.
The Tom kha took me back to Thailand. Pieces of lemon grass made me so happy.
Curry puff i didn't love. It felt heavy maybe because of the oil it was fried in. The cucumber relish was yum.
We will definitely be coming back for the soup and the curry 😄
Good food, friendly staffs and nice vibe at this local Thai place. It has been one of the spot we frequent and we have also held a annual Xmas party for our friends one year.
Over the past 10 years we have tried most of the dishes in their menu, food are consistent to my taste and there’s no complain at all.
Server was friendly, food was good. Portions are very shareable and pricing isn't too bad. Would go back!
We stopped in yesterday for dinner and the Mee Kiew Hang and Pad See Ew were both excellent. The lime vinaigrette on the Mee Kiew Hang was so yummy with the roast pork and the bok choy. The fried green tea ice cream and the key lime ice cream pie were a perfect way to end our meal.
Excellent food at a good price
One of our favorite local restaurants. We often dine in or order from them. Food is always good, portions are generous and the staff is friendly. Their mango sticky rice, when still available is the best!
Pretty average
One of my favorite restaurants in LIC! The service is great and the food even better! Recommend the chicken Pad See Ew, the Massaman Curry, the Roti and the Thai ice tea
Service was polite and lovely but very slow and a little strange. We had some dishes boxed to go and discovered later that they only boxed half of one of the dishes. The pineapples were separated out to savor later, but they were adjacent to the rice on the same plate- the server arbitrarily decided to not include the pineapples when packing. I had asked for extra pineapple when we ordered as well. I've never experienced a server deciding you only want half your plate boxed. Especially after you indicate you want the entire plate boxed. If you're wrapping up leftovers check before you leave. Food was ok. A different tier from Ayada.
The green curry is great, amazing soups, and the appetizers are good. Great menu overall. Service is fast and friendly.
Food was ok...
This is my favorite restaurant in all of NYC. I recently moved out of LIC and still see a dentist around the corner, and I specifically time my appointments so I can pick up Tuk Tuk on the way home.
Their hot pot dumplings, the massaman roti, and the mee-kiew-hang are my favorites. My husband loves the boat noodles too. Highly recommend this place!
Try the Basil Pork Rice. Most thai restaurants just spam on the spice, and leave you sweating through your brows. This place gives emphasis on the basil, which is a refreshing change. The spice level, however, still remains the same, for all you spice lovers that enjoy the kick.
I had the boat noodles, which was a tad sweet for my liking, but i get how people might like it. Averaging out the score across the basil rice and the boat noodles.
Side note: if you dont like the taste of basil, don’t come here
Great food
Must eat place for sure...
Good food every time. Solid even for take out. Thanks!
Tuk Tuk is a very welcoming spot to enjoy a meal. Service is good, tables are clean, and there is no pressure to finish eating quickly.
My partner and I like to occasionally stop by for dinner here or pick up one or two menu items to bring home and have with home cooked fare. Everything is jam packed with a wonderful depth of flavor; well balanced between sweet, salty, sour, spicy, and bitter tastes.
We usually order:
- Curry Puff (3 Thai pastries stuffed with ground chicken, potato, onion, and curry powder served with cucumber salad).
- Som Tam Thai (Popular green papaya salad served with string bean, tomato, chili, garlic, and peanut in lime dressing).
- Pad Kee Mao (Stir fried flat rice noodles with chili basil paste, garlic, bell pepper, onion, and tomato).
- Kai Ra-Berd (Egg Bomb; One of Thailand's most significant day-to-day dishes. Stir fried ground pork or chicken with chili, garlic and basil leaves served over rice and topped with fried egg).
@tuktuklongislandcity Amazing Thai restaurant hidden gem in the heart of Long Island City. All dishes had vibrant fresh and authentic Thai flavors. Thai ice tea is one of the best that I have ever had- it has the right degree of flavour and sweetness and the color is vibrant!
Over all amazing Thai food at good prices considering its New York. Excellent accommodating friendly staff.
@tuktuklongislandcity you get a massive 👍 from me!!

I've been going to Tuk Tuk probably 20 years. The food is consistently delicious, the people always nice, and the atmosphere pleasant. The Thai ice tea is the best I've had in NYC. I hope you enjoy Tuk Tuk as much as me.
Ordered to go.
Service was quick.
Curry Puffs were a joy
Pad Koa was excellent even cold
I did not expect to find such a fine Thai restaurant tucked away in Long Island City. I shared dinner here with a few friends, and everyone was very happy with the food. I ordered the Duckaholic; the dish was flavourful, nicely presented, and had a good blend of vegetables, protein, and carbs. I was also surprised by the generous amount of duck. The bite I tried of my friend's red curry was very tasty as well.
I've come here for lunch, dinner, takeout...great place to get Thai good. It's also a nice place inside to sit down and enjoy a meal. This place has been here for a long time and hopefully many more years! Recommend!
Picked up an order for delivery, as an Uber EATS driver.
Pictures really don’t do this place justice - probably the best Thai that you can get in this area! The massman curry was delicious and the portion size was generous. This spot is perfect for a date night or meeting up with a few friends and family. Can’t wait to go back and try other options on the menu!
Service attitude is very bad
卫生不好,在收银台有看见蟑螂,以及老板太度非常不好
It’s so f*ckin good
Tasty food and good service.
Sadly to say it was quite disappointing. Drunken noodle could be spicier and more flavorful. Sweet chili wings were dry. Their Pad Gra Prow lacked flavor, dry, not spicy, no color, no love. Their Thai tea was pretty good though. Loved the restaurant vibes and aesthetics and their service was great!
