Restaurant serving classic Thai dishes, plus Japanese entrees & sushi in a brick-walled setup.

TLDR: Thai 5, your service and food are top-notch, but it’s time to spruce up the ambiance. ขอบคุณ (khob khun) for the great experience!
Service:5/5
I’m met some friends here for a birthday celebration on a Monday. We were immediately seen, giving water to start in the bartender/waiter was fast and attentive.
Prices: 5/5
Prices were as expected in my opinion for what we received, I did get some sashimi as well as a signature role. Very filling and quite delicious to be frank .
Ambiance: 3/5
This is where there’s a clear loss of points. Unfortunately, this restaurant has one of those smells of I guess old food and old construction. I feel like Thai 5 needs an update and to close down for renovations.
It’s time to invest in a new and fresh look.
Taste/Textures: 5/5
My food was delicious and my girlfriend ordered the lobster roll which had an amazing presentation. Definitely think that the waiters, chefs, and Bartender were really hard to create a quality environment for top-notch agent food in little five points.
Value:5/5
Definitely left here with the feeling that I got what I paid for and would return.
I recently dined at this wonderful family-run restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The food was absolutely delicious and had a genuine, homey feel. The authenticity of the dishes truly stood out, and the service was exceptional. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic and heartwarming dining experience! Don’t sleep on the pumpkin curry!!
Came in for a quick bite - we had already eaten dinner elsewhere. The reason we came was for dessert - I really like mango sticky rice and wanted to try theirs! I did like it, it had nice balance of flavors. I’m still most partial to Ruby Chows mango sticky rice, but this was a good runner up.
My husband got the spring rolls for a snack and didn’t care for it.he was disappointed they didn’t have spicy mustard. He said he wouldn’t come back.
my salmon roll was 90% rice and my curry was watered down quite literally. wouldn’t recommend and wont be ordering from here ever again. i didnt take a picture of the sushi because i didnt think the entire order would be straight crap, but as you can see; it was.
*EDIT* and the chicken tastes old, absolutely inedible. the entire staff should be ashamed.
Honestly, I absolutely hate going into the city nowadays - but I’ll find any excuse I can to head down there just to stop here for a bite. This is some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had - and it’s consistent. The prices are fair, the portions are large, and everything is very fresh. It’s not flashy, inside or out, and it doesn’t need to be to draw you in. The food is phenomenal.
My husband and I stopped in for lunch because he was craving sushi-glad we did! Food was so flavorful 🤩 Miso soup and chicken satay was delicious. Chicken teriyaki was savory and satisfying and the geisha role was beautifully plated and tasty. Atmosphere may need a lil updating but we were very pleased with this hole in the wall!
Another first time visit but will have to add it to the rotation. The sushi was amazing so fresh and flavorful. My family ordered the basil lamb but they demolished it before I could get a pic. I got to taste the lamb and it was so tender definitely ordering that dish next time. The basil chicken was so good. The chicken fried rice was good too. Definitely check this spot out
The food was amazing and our waiter the best I for got his name but pink glasses guy… Yessssss thanks love awesome service. He recommended the pad Thai which was amazing and I chose salmon as my protein…. Nothing but love for this place … and the Thai 5 sushi omg!!! 10 out of 10!!! PS I am not the biggest fan of ATL food coming from New Orleans/ Texas but this is it….
This place is decent, but there's much better Thai nearby at the same price. Both EAV Thai+Sushi and Spoon are significantly better, and Mali is outstanding.
I had the Pad Thai and it was bland and the chicken tough. The sushi is passable, but not great.
Overall, if you're on foot in L5P and open to anything besides Thai food, there are several better restaurants on the block. If you're driving, there are definitely better options in the area, with easier parking.
Amazing food! The crunchy sushi and fried rice were both excellent. And ready very soon after we ordered. We wanted to give the food a 10 out of 5 👍

This was amazing, I ordered the Thai garlic dish with chicken and it was flavorful and seasoned to perfection. Nick was my waiter and he literally did a back flip. 10/10 experience and a good price

Food is bomb! DD the Bartender is 10/10 with the drinks and the service.
I got the fried rice and it was fireeeee!
crazy crab sushi is muyyy delicious.
My favorite place to get Thai in Atlanta!!
Always excellent take out or dine in. One of my all time favorite restaurants in ATL.
Im a foodie and i love to eat at different restaurants across the globe. My favorite Thai spot Rice Thai, of StoneCrest, Georgia closed, and I have been on the search. Finally, this was it. A decent substitute. I'm vegetarian, and the tofu was outstanding (I like mines spongy but they weren't too bad, just soften the outside up some please) in my veggie delight dupe. The seasoning was just right and the service awesome. On the other hand, I wish they'd add more veggies. At least and extra 2 oz. The portion size was probably the size we need, but we eat out and expect a good amount of veggies. Also, I preferably like homemade egg rolls where they fill and wrap themselves. But the ones they serve aren't homemade, but they are good and i love the sauce 😋. Everything else was outstanding.
I ordered Thai food and a couple nigiri rolls from them. I received the wrong item for one of the Thai dishes and luckily I had a second Thai dish that was a curry. However, as I took my first bite, the coconut milk was so sweet and there was barely any curry, so it was not a great experience. Not the best Thai food, but the Sushi was good.
All around wonderful experience. The food was delicious the service was 100% perfect.

Great food, and great service!
The food used to be good but now it’s the worst Thai I’ve ever had :( Very bland and questionable quality meat. And the restaurant smells overwhelmingly like a toilet. It used to only smell near the bathrooms but now it’s the entire place. Barf.
Excellent food and staff
Favorite Thai spot intown!
This was a horrible experience, I ordered the spicy tuna roll. There was no spicy element in the roll. Then when I called to complain. The little girl that answered was like.... um we put spicy mayo in the container. I didn't order spicy mayo, I ordered spicy tuna. I will not be returning.
DO NOT GO HERE. They are infested with cockroaches and improperly store food, which were reflected in their failed January 11th inspection. A dead cockroach was under our table.
Great sushi as always... my go to..
This place has the best tai food but the worst service and waitresses. I’ve been her a number of times and they don’t attend to you when you walk in . The waitress came to me once only after another wireless gave me 2 things I needed and I waited at the register 5 min before I was able to pay . This is not the first time I’ve had awful service here as well as friends of mine . So if you love great tai and don’t mind awful service - go there 👍🏾 good luck !!!
This place is definitely a hidden gem. The food is so yummy, reasonably priced and the service is very fast. When you walk in you may be concerned because the furniture and aesthetic is very outdated but you won’t be disappointed.
The best pad Thai I’ve ever had. My husband had something with duck and also thoroughly enjoyed it. Lovely service and lovely atmosphere. Happy to tip our server well and also leave a tip for the chef. Highly recommend!!!
First time eating there. The food and service were great. I would eat there again.

Don't waste your time and money. The food is low quality. Service is unsatisfactory.
The fried tofu is fried to perfection! The customer service is great
Quiet place with great food. We went for the sushi... got the kamikaze, geisha, and the fuiji sung roll. All fantastic. Also enjoyed some edamame with chili and the Thai egg roll
great rainbow roll
The food was so good! We will be back
The food is really good and has big portions. The sevice is top tier. I love the area and the location. Pictured is the thai basil with shrimo akd white rice. I've been here a couple of times, and they are never busy. Maybe bc it has always been on weekdays. The only thing that sucks is the parking in the area. There is no parking garage or parking lot for this location. Only street parking down the side of the roads.
First time I came here the food was great. Great spot. Came back a month later at 9. They close at 930 but google and the website says 10
Amazeballz
Leaving myself a note that this place is amazing and to order the super crunch roll again.
Oh this place is incredible. Try the pineapple fried rice with pork(if you allergic to nut: it has cashews) and it's a big bowl of it. Hostess is nice 5/5 stars
We went here for a birthday dinner, and it was nice how calm and quiet it was. The food was excellent. Some of has pad thai and some others had sushi and it was all well made. The service was fast and attentive as well.
My food was delicious but my friends eggplant dish was horrible . The eggplant was green and not cooked.
Great fresh tasty food..Great service. nice atmosphere.
Everything here is awesome. My favorite is the Beef salad.
Nice environment
My experience was horrible. The place smelled awful, and the staff behind the counter double charged us for our order and refused to make the correction. We are very sad and disappointed as we often support this restaurant please do better! We will not be back.
I loooooove this place. I went for the first time recently, only because I didn’t realize they were open previously lol. You have to walk through a sort of tunnel and up a small flight of stairs to get to the restaurant once you walk through the first set of doors. The atmosphere is amazing, it’s so pretty. I was quickly seated and brought my food after I ordered, I got the papaya salad which was delicious as expected. All of the waitresses were very attentive and polite. Next time I can’t wait to try the sushi, curry, or maybe a noodle dish.
Awesome place. The food, service, and people are all wonderful.
Great first experience...mixed drinks need improvement.
The staff was cordial but not very attentive and didn’t check back on table.
Wouldn’t recommend the calamari at all. The chicken teriyaki with jasmine rice was cool
the drinks were amazing the sushi rooms we ordered were okay... well give it another try and try something different next time
They served me the best drunken noodles I've ever had and the spicy tuna pizza is awesome.
Every time we come to Atlanta we try to visit this restaurant located in Little Fove Points area. Great authentic Thai food.
Hate sushi love Thai 💪💙 this place is a gem apparently! Must go check it out 👀
Updated Review: A large bug was cooked in my food delivery. I won’t be able to eat here again.
We order from here about once a week. I usually get the Green Curry or Massaman Curry and my partner orders the Pad Thai. The order is always fast to be received, delicious, and they always add extra veggies for me if I ask. Thank you for the great service and delicious food!!
They need to install or fix the AC immediately. Can’t even enjoy your food while sitting in that oven. The sushi is even warm.
Just picked up from here and they got the order wrong. When I called they said they can not adjust my bill but that I can get it next time I come in. Didn’t seem apologetic or like they wanted to do anything for the inconvenience. Then hung up on me.
Staff was nice 😄
EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME!!! Why does this place not have 5 stars?! The ambiance was very romantic and warm, our waiter was sweet and welcoming, and my food was absolutely incredible. For my drink I got the Thai tea, which was so rich and decadent. So good! I ordered the Massaman curry with chicken and the portion was so big for such an affordable price (which was perfect, i was starving)! The taste was like no other, so much flavor and I finished the entire plate. Left feeling so full and satisfied, I’ll definitely be coming back for the curry. Too bad I don’t live closer, I’d be here everyday lol!
Based on other reviews I wanted to love this place. The California rolls were decent, the gyoza could of been better but the spider rolls were trash. Tough, chewy whatever kind of meat that was supposed to be was dried out and nasty
The staff is very friendly and attentive, but the food is just not good, the place smelled weird, and the tables were sticky.
Servers were okay, but we were fighting against gnats the entire meal. We lost that battle and one landed in my fiancée entree and all they said was “okay”. This place is has got to do something with the gnats it’s disgusting.
Some of the most reliable sushi in town.
Their food is Banging!!!! Full of fresh ingredients and flavor profiles. The service is solid and friendly and the prices are super reasonable. I typically get the spring rolls, Tom Ka soup and ground chicken Thai Basel which is fragrant and delicious!
The sushi looks amazing and I will opt to try it next visit, which we do a few times a month!!
not gonna recommend this place
Thai 5 has my heart. It's walking distance from me so we often order curry, sushi, pad thai, fried rice, etc. It's all great and ready so fast. Is the atmosphere a little weird in there for dine in? Yes. But that's part of it. I love you Thai 5 never change and please never get rid of your Hurricane Roll
5 stars all across the board: food, service, and atmosphere. If I could give 10 stars, I would! 🙂
Definitely going back. My meal was delicious.
Best spicy tuna roll I've ever had and fantastic mojito!
Highly recommend the Thai Garlic, Massaman Curry, and the Black Pepper entrees. Food was amazing and delicious!!
The worst Thai place I’ve ever been. Very rude . Horrible customer service . Bug in my food. They gave no refund. The lady with the blond hair is just horrible. She should’ve picked a different profession. Both cashiers are rude af and all servers just need to retire . It was horrible . Do not spend your money here ! They only care about the high class Caucasian spenders .
One of the few Thai restaurants on the south end of town (and the only Thai restaurant in Little Five Points) is a decent stop for Americanized Thai food. It's not unusual for Thai restaurants to be Americanized, but the amount of sauce in typically dry noodles dishes was overwhelming. The noodles are much sweeter and saltier than most and not my preference. However, others seem to really enjoy the sweet & salty flavor.
This is another Thai-sushi combo restaurant with the expected quality. The menu offers a good variety at reasonable prices.
We got the Thai 5 sushi roll and pad-see-ew. The sushi roll was pretty good. Service is okay- our water refills stopped promptly after paying the check. I'll stick to the appetizers and sushi next time.
Pros: solid Thai tea, located in the heart of Little Five Points
Cons: noodles are too sweet with no wok hei
Great food and service!
I had an overall good experience w/ this restaurant (good portions, prices, taste) but a few things took away from it being a perfect experience.
1. Took us 10 mins to get water
2. Curry had semi-cooked carrots/potatoes that were tough to chew
3. (Not as important, but) everyone's appetizers came out 5 mins apart so it was a little awkward to eat in the beginning
Love going here whenever I'm in ATL, usually come in for early dinner and it is always so relaxing and nice. Love the layout/atmosphere and the food is always delicious.
Fabulous little hidden spot in Little 5. So pleased that my daughter turned me on to this amazing little gem.
I go here at least once a month. I have never had a bad lunch experience ever. Never super busy during lunch, I don’t know about dinner however .The sushi is fresh, the service is excellent. This time I got the Thai 5 roll and the spicy tuna roll. Reasonably priced and has a full liquor bar!
I took my husband here for his birthday this evening because I can always count on great sushi and curry, and good service. I had the Hawaii rolls, which were amazing!
Food was pretty decent
I ordered this on Uber eats. I love Thai so i decided to give it a try. The packaging was good and neat. I ordered California rolls and the spicy basil fried rice with chicken. The rolls always yum. The rice wasn’t spicy to me at all. It also had basil, bell peppers, and onions. The rice was flavorful but i wish the chicken had more seasoning. My only complaint is that the rice was not spicy and no utensils came with my order.
Food here was awesome. Went on a date here on a friday night. Didn't expect much since my 1st thai experience in a Marietta wasn't good. But we ordered masaman curry and pad thai plus shrimp rolls and everything was phenomenal. I'd definitely come back to pick up a to go order if im ever in the area.
One of worst meals I’ve had. Didn’t order anything crazy. Just the classics. And they were alternately soggy, rubbery, and tasteless.
Excellent. Daughters first sushi and loved it. Some of the best I've ever had. We had to come twice.
Hi,
Is there ketchup in the pad Thai?
Another first time visit but will have to add it to the rotation. The sushi was amazing so fresh and flavorful. My family ordered the basil lamb but they demolished it before I could get a pic. I got to taste the lamb and it was so tender definitely ordering that dish next time. The basil chicken was so good. The chicken fried rice was good too. Definitely check this spot out
Love this restaurant. Never made a mistake, they are also so kind.
Great food great service
Very cool spot. I had the Sesame Chicken and my wife had Sushi. We both very much enjoyed our dinner.
Everything was absolutely amazing! We had lobster roll, Thai roll, rainbow roll, octopus sashimi, seaweed salad, snowcapped mayo and egg rolls. Oh, and the Phuket Paradise drink was quite tasty as well.
Excellent service very expedient wonderful atmosphere the food was delicious and the people were nice
Minus a star in the atmosphere category because the bar has been closed down for forever, almost 3 years now I think. Other than that.... awesome 👌
Weird entrance but food good so make best of it.
No.
Greatest sushi in Atlanta
Me and a friend went here for a dinner and I can say I was highly impressed by the waiters, the hostesses, the food taste and delivery. I highly recommend this place if you like Thai food and sushi. It’s was a very comfortable and cozy environment, the waiters were very friendly, and very knowledgeable about the foods and drinks they offered at this particular location.
Really enjoyed the Larb. It’s hard to get Lard this good around town.
The Lychee Lady- ever elusive and enticing, if you're fortunate enough to stumble in to Thai 5 when this blushing maiden is available you would be remiss in letting her slip through your grasp. To touch your lips to her rose colored nectar is to taste ambrosia. When the components to this cocktail are out of stock, one feels like Hades in the springtime, deprived of that cherished Lady.
Were I ever to commit a crime so heinous or suffer such a miscarriage of justice as to be sentenced to the death penalty, for my last meal I would request a Lychee Lady and a bowl of Thai Green Curry, and I'd die a happy man.
My server was Nick. He wore a cool bandana and I was stricken by his "cool" aura and his expertise in both customer service. He drew a funny little guy on my receipt. Ask him for the "Little Philip Special"- he will know what you mean ;^)
Authentic Thai Meals for every occasion !

My kids and I loved it. Good sushi.
My friend got sick from this food
Larb kai - freaking amazing, so perfectly cooked and seasoned, fresh veggies, SO GOOD
Sashimi and sushi rolls - the fish was super fresh, served slightly above room temp which is the right way to do it so you can actually taste the food and it doesn't just taste cold.
Definitely coming back.
Have been coming here for years and the food is excellent. The last several months the service is AWFUL. The waitress and staff are busy running around filling Uber eats orders and all other takeout - lining them up at the bar while totally ignoring seated guests. This is a repeated experience. Very sad bc this restaurant used to be one of my favorites. They don’t value their in house patrons at all anymore.
Great kee pao. Good atmosphere going to come here more often.
Always great service and great food. Plus the recent renovations are beautiful!!
Great food, one of the servers barely speaks English so can't answer many questions but if you're lucky the other two servers were very accommodating and even answered our questions related to dietary restrictions
Had pinneaple rice and pad thai.
The pad thai was very mediocre
The pinneaple rice was ok.
Prices were crazy expensive for the quality of the food. Im not exaggerating the pad thai had max 1oz of beef.
Thai food is really good and very reasonably priced. I've tried a few sushi rolls which aren't quite as good but not bad either.
I think it’s completely crazy how me plus 2 people came in here, and watched at least 6 other tables that came in after us get served! All we got was water and the servers fake a$$ apologizing, we asked the server where our food was after a half hour and why everyone else is getting served but us, she said “oh it’s because they got appetizer” (we also got appetizers so that was a lie) I also think it’s crazy how all the tables with BLACK PEOPLE we’re not getting served as fast as the tables with white people. Yeah I peeped all of that, a whole hour sitting there just to walk out and go for the Corner Tavern. If you are black all I’m saying is be prepared to wait about 2 hours before you get served if you get served l.
Food was amazing.
The waited barely understood English. But the food was good
It was really busy and they only had 1 server. Then the food tasted funny and I had gotten sick. This place made me not want anymore sushi! I won't be coming back again..
Great food and a great price!
Service was extremely fast and the woman serving us was friendly. Ordered 4 sushi rolls, 2 frozen drinks and an appetizer. All of it was delicious. A few peoole walked in after us and their food was out equally as fast. Overall, a really nice experience.
Stopped here for dinner before a show down the road. The restaurant feels intimate without being on top of the other dinners. The staff is friendly & courteous. The food is amazing! We had 2 types of sushi as well as shrimp pineapple fried rice and everything exceeded expectations. They also have a specialty mocktail list on top of a full bar, which is a pleasant surprise.
Definitely not how it used to be. Sushi rolls were dry, the shrimp was to fishy almost old not sure if I'll be going back. A worker kept coughing not covering his mouth...count me out
Always wonderful!
Nice atmosphere. The food was good.
Great service and food. Order takeout nearly weekly.
Waited on them to open at 4:30. Didn’t open at 4:30. After choosing to wait 36 min for them to open. No answer on phone either.
Please open on time.
Twas bland
Just very slow, don’t pay ahead of time. They don’t care about your order. People who ordered after me got their food before mine.
Delicious!
Went for Valentine’s Day. Waiter kept apologizing for the wait of over an hour... personally I found the vibe extremely grating. I wouldn’t have minded the wait. They just need to relax and not expect the customer to soothe their nerves. We’re not here to help the staff do their job lol- we’re here to order and be served. Boring and unprofessional. Better when they stop trying to get you to order extra appetizers while waiting or ask you bunch of questions that make you wonder if they have any social skills. Allow the customer to wait without chatting so much and wasting their energy. Also there was a bone in the sushi. Which is just nasty. And the hamachi is not fresh at all. Would recommend to stick to very simple rolls. Cheers
USED to love this place, thought the food was great. Until I found a baby cockroach in my takeout 🙃 can never eat here again.
The food was amazing and delicious tonight! Our server Cal was very nice; plus, the entire staff were very attentive and kind! We had the fresh basil roll, Thai 5 sushi roll, hamachi sashimi, tom kha soup (so yummy), & Choo-Chee Salmon with the panang curry that was fantastic. Everything we ate had such good flavors, spices, and aroma! It reminded me of being in Thailand, and we will definitely be back! Thank you Thai 5!!
Always great food and customer service.
Delicious! Better than most Thai I have had down south. Curry noodles / papaya salad / sushi pizza were all great.
