Fresh Authentic Thai & Asian Cuisine
Wow, such disappointment. 0 stars of possible.
Pad thai was hard and bland. The spring rolls... what a disappointment. Seems like they picked the meat right out from the spring rolls they already made. Asked for the chicken and didn't even get that. Others must not know thai food or food at all. Or it must be that Im not who they cater to. Or it must be a quick steal for your cash. Cant support a business that does shady work like this.
This was take out. Make sure to inspect your food before you take it out of the place if you choose to support, or else they would say you purposely did this so you can put in a bad review.
Wont ever return to this place. DISAPPOINTED !!
Order some lunch through Grub Hub. Typical delvery, no issues there. The food was still warm. Order spice level 5, but it was not spicy at all. Over all the flavor, profiles were good, but they were small portions listed at around $12 to $15 per dish. For the price vs. the portion size,i would not order again. Im sure Grub Hub jacked up the prices some. Could be better for dining in or picking up yourself. That is usually always the best way to go. I would try again because i enjoyed the food, but just not through an app service.
3 of us went here for dinner based on the reviews and atmosphere. Atmosphere and decor is nice, slightly elevated. Food and service were lackluster though. Service being lackluster I can tolerant to a degree, but the food was average, which is a letdown. We ordered pad thai, Siam Thai wings, and thai tea. Pad thai was overcooked, rubbery, and a bit spicy for a "2". Everything, wings especially, were very ginger-heavy. I love ginger, but this was too much. Nice looking place, but food and service can be better.
Went in for a dinner. Service was very slow, two servers were checking in with us interchangeably asking the same questions. It was confusing.
They brought our food out all at different times. From the time the first dish came out to the last dish was at least ten minutes in between. By the time two of us finished eating, the last dish for the third person finally came out.
The food was not good. The noodles in the pad Thai were hard and the sauce tasted off. The others I dined with did not enjoy their food either. The prices for the quality of food you get is overpriced.
Not a good experience and would not return.
I stopped here to pick up some dinner and it was really good!
I ordered the sesame chicken with an order of fried rice and some pork egg rolls. I love the egg rolls, perfectly done and not greasy. The sesame chicken had really good flavor and was a meal for the 2nd day. Tasted just as good in the air fryer. The fried rice was tasty complemented the meal. It came with white rice which ate about a quarter of and had good flavor for plain rice. I really didn't need it as I used the fried rice for both meals.
There was a nice chocolate store next door and I picked up some truffles. A nice way to end the day with a kind and friendly face for pickup! Will be back!!
This place is a gem! We usually get takeout but have also dined in with small children and the wait staff are very kind and accommodating. My picky eaters were skeptical at first but loved everything. The food is fantastic. Whenever my mom to visit she has to get her red curry fix. In addition to the main dishes, their cream cheese wontons and garlic oyster beans are top notch.
Got takeout from here for the first time, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! Loved that the food was not just drowned in sauces, but instead had incredible flavor with every bite.
Good portion size and great food that we will definitely coming back to get more of!

Food was fantastic, quick service. Place needs some updating of carpet and benches are full of holes.
The food was so delicious!! We ordered takeout and the person taking my order was super friendly and when we picked up the atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. Would 100% go again and again to try more off their menu.

Decided to get pho takeout since one family member had a cold. Picked it up on time and only a 5 minute drive home. The broth tasted good but it was luke-warm/ cold.

The food is really good. Everything is made fresh. I am impressed.
October 2024: The papaya salad is so good!
December 2024: The egg rolls, drunken noodles, and fortune cookies are amazing!

Great food, very fresh. One of my new favorites

Very good food, thai red curry was very good. Egg rolls tasted very fresh. Everything was excellent. Only reason for 4 stars is the fact that I tried to order on Uber and online delivery and they cancelled the order so I went in to eat.
Excellent food very kind staff.
I had the shrimp spring rolls which they make without onion, and they are naturally gluten free with rice vermicelli inside and a rice wrap around it.
Their spring rolls are by far the most flavorful I have found anywhere! Along with the ubiquitous lettuce, and the cilantro, he adds a little mint. The sauce served with it is so good, I snitched a little of my husband's rice to soak up the last of it.
Tonight we brought our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. Both of them planned on taking home leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Instead they each finished their dishes: beef drunken noodles, and chicken pad Thai.
This time we brought our granddaughter. She wasn't a fan of the fresh spring rolls - more for me! - but she adored the cashew chicken and chicken Pad Thai. In particular, she pronounced the carrots from the cashew dish, "the best I've ever tasted".
Pho and fried rice are top notch 🔥 5/5 for sure !
Got takeout from here for the first time, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! Loved that the food was not just drowned in sauces, but instead had incredible flavor with every bite.
Good portion size and great food that we will definitely coming back to get more of!
Very nice Restaurant. Spring roll and sesame Chicken are awesome.
We love the pad thai!
Amazing food! Closes at 8 pm on Friday
HEAVENS.
I had just almost passed out at the Red Cross donation center (iykyk) and needed some food for the road (if I needed to pull over and bring myself back to life).
The drive was fine, so I didn’t end up stopping on the entire 50 minute drive home…and that food was still hot and delicious when I got there.
We’ve had several misses at Thai restaurants over the past few years, so my expectations weren’t high. I knew what I was about to taste would have been ~fine~ but I did NOT expect this—soft, tender meat and fully cooked vegetables, warm aromas, and perfectly spiced (I went for low spice and it had a little more heat than I thought it would, so take that into consideration when ordering the curry.) We had the curry and the drunken noodles. They slapped. They punched. And then the mango sticky rice round house kicked me to the face in the best way. K.O.
Delicious. I will return as soon as I can.
Had a to go order/service, every aspect of the order was seamless. Affordable and good portion sizes for the food. The garlic green beans are a MUST. Overall, some of the best Thai food around Minneapolis area. Highly recommend.
Stopped by on a Saturday evening. Not many customers. Was seated and waited 12 minutes to be acknowledged by a server. Left and drove down the street to Karta Thai, where I was welcomed and served immediately. Will be going the few extra miles from now on!
What a gem of a place. Best wontons, light and crisp. Delicious egg rolls. Fabulous food and atmosphere. So glad to have found this place.
Clean place. My pho was a brick of salt though. Hoping for good pho but the search continues
Average. Food was good but didn't quite meet expectations. Requested an upgrade to fried rice instead of steamed rice but was still given steamed rice. Food was served quickly but we were the only people there (3pm). Not a bad place for a quick bite or takeout.
I went here with coworkers I showed up early and ordered pad Thai. I waited 50 minutes and they completely missed my order and I waited too long that I was late for my meeting I will never come back here. I’m just thankful my coworkers had food for me to eat off their plates so I wouldn’t be so hungry
Best fried rice I’ve ever had.
Service and location are great. Egg rolls were above average. My shrimp spring rolls were bland and overpriced. The "hot and spicy" chicken is god awful and tastes like cheap Americanized Chinese sweet & sour junk. This was my 2nd time ordering and had sub-par food both times. I can't see myself giving them another chance.
They have the best Thi food. Their wonton are to die for. Best I've ever had. More people need to discover this place. Not too loud in there. Great for having conversations.
Ordered take out. Flavor was good. Ordered Green curry with chicken. Per the menu this item contains green beans. When I got home there was broccoli instead of green beans, so it wasn't what I wanted. Disappointing.
Great food and lunch specials.
I love the pad thai from here, it's so goood
Not quite sure how this has a 4.7/5 on google. The egg rolls were solid. The pork pad kra pow was too sweet and had an odd taste. I ordered it a 4/5 for spice, which wasn’t spicy at all. The drunken noodles also had a strangely sweet taste to it too. Overall, there are better Thai places in the twin cities.
Wonderful restaurant! The food was outstanding, wait staff very friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful setting in which to relax and enjoy a great meal.
Came here on a whim and it was awesome Panang Curry! In the words of the terminator…I’ll be back
Order some lunch through Grub Hub. Typical delvery, no issues there. The food was still warm. Order spice level 5, but it was not spicy at all. This was an unplanned stop, but it was an excellent one! I only ordered the Tom Yum Soup, but it was so good. I liked the decor, but I have to say the service was the best I've had in a long time. My server seemed to anticipate everything. He was quick and courteous. I will definitely be coming back!
Liked the chicken red curry and egg rolls
Delicious curry with lots of fresh vegetables. Great service and nice atmosphere.
One of the best Thai restaurants I have been
Great food and wonderful service. Will be back to try some other dishes.
True perfection, the beef lo mein was well seasoned and I couldn't stop eating. The service was excellent and very helpful. Everything was great the potstickers some of the best I've ever had, I don't think there is anything better. I ate by myself and had to get a box to take all the food home. And the server even brought me extra sauce without having to ask. Will be back!!
The cream cheese wontons melt in your mouth. Always fresh tasting food and friendly service
Go to place for quick asian lunch option. The prices have gone up over time. But the quality is still there, and coupled with no frills, good service makes it a decent option for quick Thai lunch.
Ordered the Red Curry. Very tasty but too much sugar and oil! Also, too many peppers. Can't say i wont order it again but less sugar and peppers man!
The Thai ice tea and sticky mango rice were great. All good that we ordered was good. The spicy scale runs hotter than expected, but the flavor was great. Will be going back next time I'm in the mood for Thai.
The food here is really good, might not come back so i don't get too fat 10/10
Food so good it reminded me of the village I grew in, back in Thailand. 🤌🤌😭.
New favorite Thai place! Finally a Thai place that gets the spice levels correct! No Minnesota spice here! Enjoyed the crispy Vietnamese egg rolls, red curry with chicken, pepper steak, and the chicken stir fry.
Close at 8PM I Call a 7:45 will not take a ORDER maybe change your HOURS to 7:45 Unbelievable Sad to say won't be here another year or two.And the food is great Terrible mismanaged.
Best thai food I have ever had.
Their noodle dishes were delicious! 😋
The papaya salad was the best 🙌
Hidden gem! We ate all our food and will be back for more!!! Cream cheese, chicken wings, pho and stir fry dish was delicious 😋
Great food! Something for everyone. The curries are amazing. Will definitely be back.
Ordered lunch for delivery. Choose from the lunch specials on the menu. Order came with side of rice and appetizer. I ordered the Sesame Chicken with white rice and cream cheese wontons! Both were amazing! Forgot to take a pic of the wontons. Definitely new favorite place! Prices are reasonable too!
Mariam was our server and talk about someone that is on it!!! She is bright and happy and offers impeccable service. Food recommendations are drunken noodles and pad Thai. If you like heat, this is your place. A 3 is 🥵 hot!
Good job and yes, we are returning guests!
Thank you!!!’
Food is always amazing! No “Minnesota spice” here!! Real flavor. Mariam was our server and was so attentive and sweet. Ordered the drunken noodles with chicken and don’t forget mango sticky rice for dessert!
Great food, and great staff. Definitely a place to eat again
The food is always amazing!! As well as the service- been here 5 times in pst 2 months
As a total foodie one of my favorite food types is Asian Food. I love the spices, the wok cooked creations and the myriad of meal types. Siam Thai is without question one of my favorite Asian restaurants in Minnesota. This is coming from someone that has frequented Minnesota staples like Quang, Tea House, Hai Hai and my college favorite Shuang Cheng in Dinki-Town.
If you like freshly cooked Asian, bold flavors, a great selection and wonderful wait staff you must visit Siam Thai. It is one of my weekly staples. My favorite menu item is the Sesame Chicken, the Shrimp Lo Mein or the Chicken Pad Thai. Please visit and support these wonderful people. You will thank me!
My new favorite place! I can't come here enough. I'm addicted to the egg rolls and pho. Amazing! Great menu, not too big not too small which means you can tell everything is made fresh and so delicious. Spice levels are a lot so go down a number from what you think (in my opinion). Great for take out or dine in. Servers really nice. There is simple wine and beer menu which is just right. You really just need to try the egg rolls!
All the food is great but the Ginger Chicken is amazing. Service is great. The price is DEFINITELY right.
The food was very good. My companion found her dish to be spicier than she liked, and it was replaced immediately.
What amazing food! Pad Thai here surpasses all others. Egg Rolls are crispy and DELICIOUS. Service was awesome. Spotlessly clean dining room and restrooms too.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Best ever and big portions:)
My husband and I came in from out of town we decided to stop by for lunch. We ordered the pho and I had combination fried rice. We both shared the mango coconut sticky rice for dessert. Everything was delicious, items were full of flavor, we will be back that mango coconut sticky rice is addictive!!! Ohh sooo GOOD!!!
Better flavor than overly busy nearby restaurant. Just needs a patio!
Had the beef pho delivered. Broth is slightly sweeter than i prefer but otherwise was great.
This is the best Thai place around! Great food and friendly staff/owner.
Lovely atmosphere, good service, and well prepared food! They were incredibly accommodating and helpful when we informed them about my mom’s fish allergy. I loved the fresh spring rolls and the Thai Iced Tea. The Thai Basil Stir Fry was excellent, with fresh veggies and tofu, though next time I will ask for a higher spice level. We will be back!
Update: went back for Drunken Noodles tonight and asked for spice level five and it was 🔥 perfect
We had the Pho and Pad Thai + Tofu. The crispy chicken spring rolls are excellent. Clean and organized. Good prices. Not super hot if you like milder dishes.
Excellent food! The Shrimp Spring Rolls were extremely fresh and the best we’ve ever tasted. I had Beef with the hot (#3) level of Penang Curry which was wonderful and had just the right amount of spice. My wife had Siam Thai Basil which she loved. Great place with very reasonable pricing, we will be going there often!
For a fine and friendly dining experience, Siam Thai has its own unique dishes at a reasonable price! The restaurant has a
very pleasant ambiance and delicious food. They now serve beer and wine! One of my favorites!
Hidden Gem!! We got egg rolls, Massaman Curry and Thai Basil Stir fry... everything was delicious and flavorful! Service was lovely too! Great for lunch or dinner.
We frequently get takeout from here and it really stands out among the local options in terms of quality and taste. Love the tofu spring rolls, massaman curry and chicken fried rice.
No fork and spoons
Good food, decent price. Sticky rice with mango was good. First time trying it.
Wonderful food!!
Between two of us we have had five of the dishes. My partner decided this evening it’s his new go-to place! I agree, so delicious! I’m only mad that it’s been around for a year and we didn’t know about it. That’s why I’m writing this review, I don’t want others to miss out.
Had ginger stir fry with pork. Simply very good; distinct flavors of the ingredients, properly cooked, nicely presented. This was our second visit and will not be our last. This place is worth repeating.
A year in and they outshine the competition. There is an obvious pride in their business through their food and continuous improvements on the space. This creates a space that is inviting and homey while you eat food that is fresh and bursting with delicious flavor. They are reasonably priced, quick with the service and steadily learning their regular customers.
Great food ,superb customer service they are fast and greet you with a happy smile, with updated interior that gives your imagination a dream full experience 😀, also very fancy new fortune cookies 🍪
The curry dishes were way too sweet. Service was good.
First time there. I came for take out but the restaurant itself looked inviting. As soon as I walked in the door I was impressed with the great smell in the air!
My food was packed better than I've ever seen from anyplace. Nothing leaked!!!
Delicious Green Curry (with shrimp); Vegetable Basil Rice and Pot Stickers. Can't wait to return.
Oh, and the woman at the front desk was very helpful and kind. I chose a spice # "3"and just as the gal said, it was a REAL spicy choice, don't be fooled by the term "medium" LoL.
Siam Thai is the BEST! We had a production shoot out in the Arden Hills area and Siam Thai feed our crew for lunch. They were incredibly detail oriented, early to deliver the food, and their kindness/customer service was amazing! We had such a great experience with them and their food was so YUMMY! They even worked with me on our crew members who had dietary needs and met each one perfectly! Thank you, Siam Thai!!!
The best Thai food we have had in a long time. Wonderful spring rolls, great drunken noodles and the best Thai tea around! Good wait staff and a quick kitchen. The atmosphere is just OK, but everything was clean.
Great food...this is my new lunch spot!
Best Thai restaurant in Minneapolis.
Terrific first experience (carryout) - ordered from Suam Thai due to our "regular" place closed. May never go back to the old standby for it was that good.
I thought I'd try a new Asian restaurant so gave this place a try. The lunch special was not terribly priced, so I tried the sesame chicken lunch order. The portions for the price were very small, probably the smallest I have encountered to date. It looked appetizing but the sesame chicken tasted like Ketchup, the fried rice was basically white rice with soy sauce, no vegetables or anything in it. The cream cheese wontons were good just very small. I also ordered the shrimp spring rolls. They were not sealed at either end so ingredients fell out while eating. They were also very bland, no mint or anything else. $22 for bland small portions, I don't think I will be back.
A high score is very misleading for this below average Thai restaurant.
Excellent Thai food. Welcome addition to Arden Hills area.
Good thai food
The best Pad Thai I have ever had. I have been there 4 times and it is always excellent. I do not like my food hot (spicy) and this is so flavorful. I have Pad Thai at other places and when I say zero on the hotness scale I sometimes get bland. Here it is wonderful. I will be back many more times
Nice atmosphere, very courteous staff, good menu with many choices, and excellent food. I had the Pad Thai and it was delicious. Will definitely be going back
We hadn’t known about this spot (it’s been here for 9 months) but now we have eaten here twice in one week and will be back many more times! Excellent egg roll salad, Penang curry, cashew stir fry, fried tofu…and nice servers. Great flavor and spice.
They should serve alcohol beers and mixed drinks
Great Thai food at this restaurant! Good flavors and spices in the tom yum soup. The servers are very as attentive and friendly. Will definitely come back soon!
Food is yummy! Definitely recommend the Tom Yum and Pad Thai :) will be coming back!!
Great food, great service, awesome atmosphere.
The pho was hit the spot for me. Broth was hot and delicious. Owner was welcoming and nice. Thanks Lydia for a great time there. Very clean restaurant and will come back to try other food.
The food was fresh and very flavorful! I had Pork Pad Kra Pao; it was a new taste that I haven't had before. My husband had Garlic Stir Fry with beef. It was good too. We had two different Spring Rolls (Shrimp and Crispy Chicken). I loved their peanut sauce. It wasn't the normal thick peanut sauce, which I do like to eat too. It was fish sauce with crushed peanuts added. This sauce made the spring rolls pop and tastier. It was very fresh and it enhanced the flavor. The dessert we had was Banana Tempura. It was so delicious! It wasn't like Shrimp Tempura, it looked like a Vietnamese egg roll, but with bananas and chocoate.
I also enjoyed the Thai Iced Tea! It was a wonderful sweet light creamed drink.
The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable.
I am excited to let my friends and family know about this place!
We have been here several times and had delicious food each time! Great service as well.
Tried this place twice but I doubt I will be back.
The first time we went here we arrived at 7:30 pm. They were not busy, but had maybe 2 other tables? Another table arrived after us, but the waiter (he/she) took their order first anyway. After about 15 minutes of just sitting there he/she came and took our order. Then we waited and waited and finally at 8:45 pm we still did not have our food. The other table that came after us had already eaten and left. Did I mention they were not busy at all? The waiter comes to our table and says do you want to place a "to go order"? We tell him/her, "No, we already ordered" to which (s)he replies that they forgot to put our order in! The waiter says now it is too late to get table service so we would need to place a to go order. We didn't want to eat it to go... and we were disappointed so we left with nothing. I was not at all impressed with this server.
We went back about a month later because we met relatives, who like us, enjoy Thai food. I was told that everybody's meal was good. Mine however was actually quite terrible. I had Tom Yum soup with seafood. There was hardly any seafood in it!! I think I had a piece of imitation crab, a sliver of octopus, and like 2 tiny shrimp. no kidding. Plus the soup was very, very lime flavored. Too much lime and it overpowered the whole soup. It tasted like I was drinking a glass of lemonade or limeade. yuck. The other people at my table seemed to enjoy their food and we actually did get served this time, so I will give it a 2 star. 2 stars is quite a stretch though, this place was awful.
We were bummed when Great China closed. Decided to try Siam Thai out tonight. Wish we didnt wait so long. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back!
Wontons were very light, crisp and delicious. Filling was lightly sweet.
Egg rolls and spring rolls were very very fresh, flavorful and so good.
Sesame chicken was on the sweeter side, but super flavorful and good with the rice.
Fried rice had a great flavor.
Pad Thai was absolutely delicious 😋 Probably my favorite dish hands down.
We ordered sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, sticky rice and lo mein! First time eating here and everything was delicious ! Portion size is totally doable for 2-3 people !
Ordered take out. It was delicious!!!!! Pad Thai noodles, sesame chicken, and amazing spring rolls. All of the flavors were delicious!
First time here. Delicious!!! So fresh. We had the egg rolls and spring rolls. Both excellent. We also had the garlic stir fry, pad Thai, and red curry. The spice level was perfect. The service was fast and friendly. The chef (owner?) came and visited with us. Super friendly and engaging. It will become our new “go to” Thai place.
Great food! Great service! Wonderful staff!
Great flavorful food and service. I’ve dine in and take outs from here all the time. The waitress is very knowledgeable. They have really good Pad Thai! Very flavorful and well balance of flavors. If you are looking to try their food, I definitely recommend the following dishes. Pad Thai, Drunken noodles, cream cheese wontons, fried green beans appetizer, egg rolls, and spring rolls - very refreshing spring rolls.
Good selection of stir fried dishes as well. The Garlic and Ginger stir fries were really good! Did I mention how tender their meats are?!
New addition drink is the strawberry lemonade and it was very flavorful!
The price is a little pricey, but You can taste the great quality with the price you are paying for. Definitely recommend dining in to taste the food the minutes they’re freshly done.
I've been to Sian Thai a couple of times now. Yhe staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is very tasty snd I like that you can choose how spicy you want it and what protein (meat options) you want. It is definitely worth a try.
I've had 4 different stir fry dishes here off dinner menu. Each one was better than the next! The garlic stir fry was my favorite until tonight when I tried a new traditional Thai Basil with pork (chopped)and green beens stir fry they are considering adding to their menu - amazing taste and textures! All of the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable - it's clear they care. Really clean and welcoming for dine-in experience. Accomodated requests without issue when asked for little changes in ingredients. Will definitely be back often.
Wow, so good! Everything tasted like it was freshly made. Egg rolls and cream cheese wontons were fresh and flaky. Veggies and shrimp well seasoned and fresh. Even the fortune cookie great. Will definitely be back.
The food here is excellent. I ordered the Sesame Chicken lunch combo. It was delicious. Everything was prepared very well.
Excellent restaurant. I had their Pad Thai which was amazing. Huge portions of food.too. I had enough leftovers for a delicious meal the next day. They have great service also. The owner Don even came over to our table to talk to us.
We just ordered from Siam Thai for the first time tonight and we’ll definitely order again soon! We had pad Thai, red curry stir fry, cream cheese wontons (the wonton was so light and crisp!), and egg rolls. Everything was delicious, especially the egg rolls! These egg rolls will give “a famous egg roll place that has a cart at the state fair” a run for their money!
Great food, comfortable service.
Nicly decorated restaurant and great foor. Flavors were well balanced.
Presentation was clean and the restrooms clean. Well done!
We enjoyed pot stickers, sesame chicken, beef pad thai and the beef and meatball pho. The sauce for the pot stickers was so yummy. If you like spice, you will not be disappointed but they have severals levels of spice too! We will definitely return. So happy for a new restaurant!
I've eaten here three times in a couple of weeks after reading the positive reviews.
The Pad Thai and Chicken Lo Mein are excellent-egg rolls are the best I've had.
Best Thai I've had in years.
So glad you are in the neighborhood!
I would highly recommend.
My husband and I stopped here after not being able to get through lexington with all of the construction. We got the lunch specials of beef thai basil and the sesame chicken. Both were SO good! The chicken was crunchy-not soggy, the beef was so tasty, the wantons were flaky, and the eggroll was extremely flavorful! The lunch portions were large and filling and the service was extremely fast. We had our food within 6 minutes of sitting down. I would highly recommend!
Came in on a whim tonight to get takeout for watching a softball game down the road and am so impressed! Loved the fresh spring rolls and egg rolls. Glad I found this place!
Went on a Thursday night. It was very quiet and there were only two other tables dining in. The servers were very friendly and the food was excellent but I ordered panang curry mild and it was the spiciest “mild” I’ve ever tried. I even asked the server to double check and he confirmed it was “mild”.
I’d like to have some more food from Siam Thai but this Minnesotan palate can’t handle their spice level and we won’t be returning.
Exceptional quality food, excellent service, and rich flavors define this new addition to the Arden Hills and North Roseville area. Perfectly prepared meat, flavorful sauces, and overarching high standards have quickly made this my go-to Thai restaurant after only a few trips.
On my first trip, I had the pad thai. Everything about it was phenomenal, from the egg, noodles, and chicken all being perfectly cooked, to the sauce having staying power that isn't always present in lesser pad thai.
On my second trip, I had the hot and spicy chicken, at their spice level 4/5. It was fantastically spicy, deserving of a 4 and not dulled down for stereotypical "minnesota spicy" levels, while still having rich flavor to the sauce. The vegetables were excellent, cooked to perfection with the rest of the dish. The star, however, was once again the chicken. Their chicken is practically buttery with how tender and juicy it is, while not having a single bit of hard, chewy, or otherwise missed bits of gristle during the butchering process. Whoever does their butcher work is an absolute pro and deserves all the praise in the world, and whoever ends up preparing it after the fact deserves the same praise for whatever they do to get the meat so heavenly.
Additionally, the owner is a very friendly and personable guy, and was checking in with customers to see how we were doing, while the other staff on both occasions were knowledgeable and confident in their work.
This restaurant is a gem and should not be overlooked if you're in the area and craving anything spicy, sweet, or just rich and savory of the Thai or general Asian-American culinary persuasion.
Beef Thai Basil lunch special was great! Reasonably priced, fresh and good portion--will be back!
Friendly staff. Tom yum had great flavor. Thai tea was delicious. Pad Thai was much too sweet. We were not asked which spice level we wanted, which may have helped.
Ordered sweet and sour chicken and peanut sauce noodles with beef and vegetables. The chicken had about 20 small pieces for $14 and the noodles bowl was half filled small bowl for $17. Expect to get enough food to feed 2 people for $50. Way overpriced and no value.
Any other restaurant will give you 2-3X the amount of food that tastes just as good.
I stopped by with my family for dinner and the service was nice and friendly.
Egg Rolls... bussin'
Drunkin Noodles... bomb
Pepper Steak came through on a hot skillet, sizzling and what not... fire.
The Siam Chicken Strips with the peanut sauce... delish.
Chicken Wings: Sweet Chili and Siam Thai Herb, Siam Thai > Bdubbs.
The peanut sauce stir fry was fuego fuego.
It's just geniunely GOOD food, simply put. We went to the heart of Flavor Town this day. All those flavors in our mouths, and we certainly enjoyed it.
In seriousness, You can tell they put love and care into the food, as a consumer I appreciate that.
These are just my experiences at Siam Thai, but I'd say it's worth while for you to have your own. Order some for the family too.
I'll be coming back.
Dinner was amazing, we got 4 appetizers, 5 different entrees. Egg rolls were very hot and flavorful, spring rolls were tasty, pot stickers were great, Thai chicken wings were richly sauces. We had Massaman curry which was sublimely spiced, two different Thai basils (combination and beef), pepper steak, and cashew tofu. The cashew tofu was very nicely fried and had a great cashew and lightly sweet sauce. We had a couple ginger lemonades which are very flavorful when you get the full ginger experience. All in all, a great Thai experience.
Food was amazing tonight. First visit and it won't be the last!
Great services, Good taste of Thai Food strong flavors.. Love Paneng..Highly Recommend.. # support Local business 🥰🥰🥰
Siam Thai occupies a space that used to be a Chinese restaurant. The food and service were excellent. Joey was our server. My husband ordered noodles with veggies and I ordered ginger stir fry with veggies and tofu. We also ordered a generous sized pot of black tea and spring rolls to share. The menu is confusing with no prices beside several menu items however after our server explained it, all was good. Most meal selections on the menu are between $12 and $18. Enjoy the new addition to the area restaurants. We did.
DELICIOUS food beyond excellent service. Joy is a wonderful waiter.
Empty plates is all that’s left from this outstanding dinner.
The cream cheese wontons were flaky, crispy, light, sweet, and just perfect.
The potstickers were very good, and the dipping sauce had a mystery ingredient (maybe cloves?) that was different and delicious.
The ginger stir-fry was so flavorful! The sauce was amazing. Even the celery was good, which I thought was impossible.
And the ginger lemonade was a treat.
Highly recommended! We’ll be back. The food and service were great😄
This is absolutely the best Thai food we have had. We are pretty picky when it comes to quality and taste of food, but it is so fresh and tasty. Highly recommend!
The drunken noodles, pad Thai, and wontons were all amazing! Seriously so delicious. I will definitely be back. So glad to have such good Thai food in Arden Hills!
