From the family that created Nan Thai Fine Dining, Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft and Tamarind Seed.
We ordered all the appetizers, and they were absolutely fantastic—each one was delicious and well-prepared. However, we found that the main dishes did not quite match the high standard set by the appetizers.
On a positive note, the service was exceptional and truly above and beyond our expectations. Additionally, the cocktails were wonderful, with the Negroni being the best we've ever had.
Went to this fabulous Thai restaurant for a birthday. Beautiful decor and the menu is amazing. Their Thai curry sauce is one of the best I have ever had. Lamb Chops are my favorite here. Service was impeccable and atmosphere was great.
Music 🎵 in the background brings another flavor to the atmosphere.
Very intimate and attractive dining spot. Amazing food and service! PLEASE BEWARE of parking in the garage nearby - it gets tricky! Only do valet as they will not validate parking in the garage that is significantly more than valet ($20 for less than two hours).
Nan Thai Buckhead . I was pleasantly surprised by their vegetarian options. They are quite accommodating when it comes to substitutions. All non vegetarian proteins can be substituted by tofu or veggies without compromising the taste.
Chicken green curry, papaya salad mushroom dumpling soup were outstanding.
Do try their cocktails and mocktails.you won't be disappointed.
Parking is validated too. Dress up.Book a reservation.
Good date night spot.
I recently dined at Nan Fine Dining in Buckhead, and unfortunately, it was hands down the worst dining experience we’ve ever had. We were initially told we had been checked in, but my boyfriend and I sat and waited for 20 minutes before anyone seated us, while other couples who walked in after us were shown to their tables right away. When I went back to the hostess stand, she checked the list and claimed we had never been checked in. There was no genuine apology or attempt to make things right.
Once we were finally seated, it took an extremely long time for our server to approach us. When she did, I requested the wine list, which took over 15 minutes to bring to the table. I then ordered a glass of Prosecco, but despite being part of the four-course dining experience, the wine didn’t arrive until the dessert was already on the table.
I asked to speak with a manager, who turned out to be the same person who had failed to check us in earlier. His response was utterly patronizing, offering excuse after excuse. He mentioned it was their busiest night since COVID and asked us to be patient and understanding, but his tone only added to our frustration. In the end, they offered a mere $10 discount, which felt insulting given the poor service and lack of attention throughout the evening.
Overall, this experience was disappointing on so many levels. From the check-in mix-up to the slow service and inadequate response from management, it was clear they were unprepared for the demands of the evening. I had high hopes for a special dining experience, but instead, we left feeling ignored and undervalued.
Had dinner with my sisters. When you come in you are greeted by a hostess. The ambience is very nice and love the decor. I purchased Tom Kha lobster soup which was amazing and for the main dish I had the wagyu beef cheeks which was okay. It was too sweet for me. I also purchased with lychee mocktail was good. Overall, I would def eat here again and try other dishes.
While the four girls sitting across from me absolutely blessed my line of sight, the ambiance was nice too. Service was fast and good, with water refills really well executed. Very accommodating to dietary restrictions.
The drunken noodles were delicious and surprisingly large portioned too! The dumplings were a good, standard 8/10 dim sum. The chef’s award soup has a bit sour and too creamy, but if you like Thai soup you’d like it!
Do come if you’re in downtown buckhead 😀
This was by far one of the lowest rating on the food of all Thai restaurants we tried, the drunken noodle seemed straight of the freezer, no taste, boiled veggies just thrown. No thought process was put into the food. We got the food after a 30 min wait but the service and the ambience was good.
The food was delicious, ambiance is warm and elegant service was the best part. I was sticker shocked by the prices. I paid $147 for just me! 2 cocktails, 1 app and an entree that was on a special. Paid and additional $20 for self parking (not included in the above price). Can't says that I will return. I do feel as though I can get the same quality food elsewhere. If you want validated parking be sure to Valet. The surf n turf entree is $80 and rather small for the price. Ribeye, asparagus and 2 prawns all very tasty. The lobster soup was delicious, Lychee martini's were well crafted and executed. Service was friendly, professional and all around top notch.
Menu is smaller than Nan in Midtown. Staff could have been much nicer. My husband was rudely told to take his hat off and my server had a sly semi-rude reaction to my one year old son being a little antsy, it was in a jest manner but the comment just didn’t sit well with me. Food was decent but the one in Midtown is our favorite and that is where we will continue to go.

Nan Thai is a delicious upscale thai restaurant in Buckhead. In a center with many nice restaurants, Nan Thai has continued to stick out as one of the better options in the area. While the menu items seem to rotate a bit, I have never had a bad meal here. Every person I’ve eaten with here has also had a great meal. I look forward to visiting again!
Amazing food! Great place to bring family or friends!

Bad management! Verify my gift card before making reservations. Ask for parking instructions which did not give detail in valet parking. However, manager question me if I call the wrong location? Which employee I spoke to ???
There are phone records proof that I have been communicating with Buckhead location. I am willing to try this new restaurant cause the good experience in midtown location. And the unprofessional management totally destroyed the reputation. Overall, this location needs better management.
Terrible! Very bad experience ! I have a gift card from midtown . Call twice ask if I can use at Buckhead location. Both answers are yes. When check out, manager refuse to honor the gift demanded different types of payment.
Very bad experience. Do not go. If a manager can not accommodate a simple gift card transaction, he cannot run a business.
By the way , the midtown location is much better experience in all areas.
This place is amazing. From food, staff to atmosphere, it’s a treat every time.
An incredible experience. The Pad Thai entree I had was extraordinary. I enjoyed everything from the atmosphere to the wonderful French wine. I will be back!
My food was cold. I sent it back and it came out cold again. The manager was not very accommodating and said it was not hot because we put the food in a plate. Very sad excuse for a manager when I complained twice. The waitress was great but the manager horrible! I will never go back as long as he is at that restaurant.
We ordered all the appetizers, and they were absolutely fantastic—each one was delicious and well-prepared. However, we found that the main dishes did not quite match the high standard set by the appetizers.

I went to Chai Yo last night to celebrate my friend's 40th birthday. The meal for 4 was over $500. Our dinner began at 7 PM and lasted until approximately 9:45 PM, but unfortunately, it was not the experience we had hoped for.
We encountered several issues that significantly affected our evening. The service was extremely slow across the board, including the bar, food, and water service. This caused the dinner to drag on in a way that was both noticeable and frustrating. (This seems to be a persistent problem at this restaurant based on other low-rating reviews).
Specifically, the lychee martinis were overly pulpy, which seemed unusual. The lag between ordering anything beverage or food related was 20-30 minutes from time to order to receipt with no check-ins from the servers. The appetizers we ordered were fried, but were greasy. The lamb chops were not cooked to the recommended medium rare, but were instead well done. The rice with my fish (their signature Chilean Sea Bass) was clearly stale/old rice.
One of the leads did come over at one point in the evening and asked if everything was okay and I gave feedback that the bar was slow and he (didn't apologize) but instead offered an excuse, "we have 2 large parties we are serving" and went to the bar to tell the bartender to step on it.
I noticed the staffing level was not appropriate for the number of diners, and as mentioned earlier, the service was extremely s l o w.
By the end of the evening, we were too tired and disappointed to address these concerns in person and sent an email to management, with no reply.
Given the high price point of this restaurant and Buckhead location, low food quality, and absent service, I am disappointed, and will not return or recommend it to others.
Everything was fantastic thank you

A true hidden buckhead gem. The lunch specials are unbeatable and the drinks are amazing as well.
Started with a shredded chicken dumpling, steamed. That spice from the Thai chilis was a great way to start. Followed with a soup with lobster chunks that was the highlight of the entire meal. My main course was a crispy fried chicken breast. The peanut sauce made it great. Thanks!
Excellent place to dine!
Every meal I’ve eaten has been delicious! The staff members are always very polite and friendly. I frequent the restaurant at least once a week for lunch. Always on point!
The place is incredible, the food is quite good, the only thing that for a work lunch if you don't have much time is complicated, because the dishes take time, even so I don't regret it because it was magnificent, each one. The dish I tried was unique, I would return. I have loved the place 1000 times!
Good food and atmosphere.
Dined here for my dad's birthday. Amazing service by Ilana (sp)?. The linguine was legitimately one of the best dishes I've ever had in my life...!
Recently we stopped in to have dinner. Not quite sure what to expect. it looked good online. The service was spectacular, so much so I would recommend that you request Donovan, his recommendations for dinner are perfect and each dish was equally impressive. Enjoyed it so much. I returned two nights later for the signature lobster soup.
Chef Dede and her team are phenomenal 👏 We came here last night for a New Year's Eve Dinner and it did not disappoint! Some places in Atlanta are all hype and no substance but Chai Yo is the opposite. This place is very underrated. All I can say is get in here quickly before the word gets out. We started with cocktails the My Rai or Die a pineapple citrus rum 😋. Then the Cauliflower and Brussels sprouts were crispy perfection and had a chili sauce that was so good I wanted to drink it. Seriously. My Mr. had the Wagyu Beef Cheeks that were cooked for 12 hours in a Panang Curry...it just melted into a savory flavor explosion. 🫠 I had the Sea Bass over crab fried rice. Again this dish was just beyond. The Sea Bass had a light and crispy coating that was slightly reminiscent of temporary batter but better somehow with this slightly sweet garlic pepper sauce that pulled the flavors of the fish and the crab-fried rice together in the absolute best way. Lol, the food was so good and the flavors married so well that it inspired us to finally set OUR Wedding date. My only regret is my stomach is not big enough to have tried more! We will most certainly be back! I promise to take photos next time but the food was too good to not fully enjoy the moment.
Best Thai food.

I purchased Tom Kha lobster soup which was amazing and for the main dish I had the wagyu beef cheeks which was okay. It was too sweet for me. I also purchased with lychee mocktail was good. Overall, I would def eat here again and try other dishes.
Got the lunch special. The food was not as good as the service or atmosphere.
Giving it an overall 5star. Service is great and drinks are good as well. Food was a 4/5 although definitely a must try Thai food in the area. I wish the dishes could be spicier by itself vs adding a lot of Thai chilli powder that they provide on the side.
The Tom Kha soup was good and flavorful and was good quantity. The pad kee mao too was great but I wish this could have been spicier standalone.
Excellent. Would absolutely come again.
Chef DeeDee is hands down the best Chef in Atlanta! This place has been near and dear to us since it's opening!
I had my birthday dinner here this month in the private room. Arranging the reservation with Donovan as well as service from Hélène was both excellent and made my experience easy and fun. Not to mention the delicious food and dessert! Will be returning for dinner on the regular.
Great experience great food
How sad and sad it is that because of the receptionist or hostess the restaurant has a BAD STAR!!! The food is excellent, the place is magical, it is a fantastic place! but the host girl is the WORST! Bad aptitude, she was rude, unprofessional and very hateful! I think they should prepare it with a customer service course! or simply replace it with someone else...!!! I feel offended, upset because it is tarnishing the reputation of the good place.
I've been here about 5 times and have never been disappointed. Food and drinks are excellent. Everything is cooked to perfection. Staff is always warm and welcoming. Highly recommend!
Very poor customer service. The staff and management do not know how to properly cater to customers. They lack skills in prioritizing. Very unfortunate, since the food and drink quality is very good.
This was absolutely an experience that will make your food palate happy!! But let me start with the ease of parking which valet is validated that is a plus. Also the ambiance as you walk in love love love soft, sleek, and a little sexy if I might say. Great spot for date night, after work mixer, or just a space to enjoy the food and your own company. I started off with a water and the AYU SINGLE that will be my choice of cocktail from here on out loved it…if you are a sweet citrus girl like me you will not regret it!! For appetizers I went with the Spring Rolls and the Tom Kha Lobster soup both amazing!! And last for my entree the Chilean Seabass which was soooo delicious chefs kiss!! Thank you thank you the staff was amazing as well!! This restaurant is a gem that you will want to experience for yourself and I will be back!! A+++++++
Great lunch date meal!
Great meal and presentation with big city modern vibes.
Food is amazing!! So flavorful and vibe is super cute in here! definitely recommend for a special event!
Great food and service at a reasonable price.
I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. By far one of the best Thai spots in atlanta. I am super picky and I had nothing bad to say about this place. Any time I’ve been in has always been delicious and the service is excellent. If you’re new to the area, live here, or visiting, make this a spot to stop in .
Had the drunken noodles. It was just alright. I've had a lot better! Probably won't go back. Very nice atmosphere though.
Worst experience!
Ordered the masaman curry, so disappointed with the flavor of the curry had to call the server and tell her how terrible the thing was after 2 bites (too sour), my friend ordered the pad Thai and that wasn’t impressive as well. I still had to pay for the masaman curry which I had to send it back, would never go ever again.
OMG!!!!!! This is by far my favorite new thai spot. It’s rustic, modern, sexy, & quaint. The ambiance is beautiful! Now let’s get to those tasty drinks! Linda did her thing!!!!! I ordered the my rai or die, & the Thai you up. Best cocktails I have had in a looooong time. Both bursting with flavor and Thai spices. My favorite was the rai or die but they do have a little spicy kick to them the Thai you up is more spicy. Next the apps I had were the basil roll which was very fresh and good but not quite my favorite. The mushroom ravioli was great. It was light but full of flavor. Also tried the thom yum soup it was a small portion but also delicious. The best part was the lamb with scallops & eggplant! I could literally eat that every day for the rest of my life!!!! I also had the beef cheeks which came out in a traditional Thai bowl over a lit candle. The meat literally melted in my mouth!!!! To finish off I had the Thai tea crème brûlée. I love love love this spot. Ask for Linda! To see the official videos follow my Instagram @rosadivina29 and check out my highlights section labeled “Foodie & Foodie 2.”
Maybe Mother's day on Sunday is not a normal day for them to be open so our experience is much different than the reviews I see. Slow service, bland food for a Tai cuisine, good cocktails tho, pushed through the appetizers to the entries, one person of our small 5 person group was served almost after all others were done with their entries, I asked for a spice tray a second time to spice up my rather bland entre, the waiter brought a tray of four spice containers, 3 which were were almost empty. $6 Benjamins for a party of 5 should have resulted in a better 75 minute experience, One benjamin was for the required 20% tip. Thinking if I will ever go back. Not
Chai Yo food, service and Atmosphere was awesome. Everything we ordered tasted unique and great.
Food was great, service was a bit slow and unresponsive for the price per plate that is being charged. Would come back again, but only if I had ample time to blow.
This is some of the best food in Atlanta
Great service & atmosphere! We ordered the Saku Sai Kai & they were delicious! I was happily surprised because I’ve never had tapioca pearl dumplings! I do recommend eating them with the lettuce they’re served on. For entrees, we ordered the Golden Triangle, which was tasty & perfect for 2 people to share. We also ordered the Pork Belly & Crab Fried Rice, which were both good!
Tucked within a quaint plaza in Buckhead lies this absolute gem of a restaurant. Beautifully lit entry ways led me into a delectible medley of culinary delights, where I was fed wagyu beef-cheeks with a side of brussel sprouts (highly recommended).
A big thank you to our server Jalen, who guided us on this excellent experience.
Too sweet and Americanized , the ambiance is nice tho
Food, service and ambiance all top notch.
Unfortunately this restaurant did not live up to the expectation. Food was overly flavoured (sweeteners, sauces) without being a true Thai style. Server did not know the menu. Ambience/decor was good, but don't beleive the hype. Way overpriced for average ("americanised") food.
Food good,Bartender on point very nice and personable. Vine was nice!
Chai Yo does it again and again. I love this place because I can always expect a consistent top-tier experience. Everything from food/drink recommendations, ambiance and overall service is the best.
I tried the Thai Beef Jerkey with sticky white rice and "omg" there's not much I can say other than.. "mmmhmmmm good". They never disappoint.
I will always come here and recommend this place as a go to for not only great food but an amazing dining experience.
The ambiance to this place is soo good. A very good date spot. Loved their menu selection, limited with wide variety. The cocktails was pricey but good. Appetizers was sucha hit. Tried their mushroom ravioli and Kanom jeeb. Loved their massaman curry with steamed rice. Definitely will come back. They validate only valet parking and comes up to $2. They do not validate self-park. Will definitely recommend this place.
The atmosphere was elegant and inviting, the food was delicious, and the service was perfect. A bit more expensive than the average restaurant, but to me it was money well spent. The only reason I won't be back for a while is my desire to try so many other restaurants in the area.
Love it and the people.
Mostly disappointed this place doesn’t exist on my hometown. Food was sensational. Had the tapioca dumplings and drunken noodles. Never had any better than here. Not oily. Flavor sensational.
Made RESERVATIONS for 9pm. Did not get sat to eat until 11pm. Did not get finished eating/left at 1am.
We arrived at 9pm sharp. When walking in, the waiting area was flooded with people, shoulder to shoulder. We were not able to actually check in until 9:30 due to people checking in for later reservation times. We went to the bar to get drinks and are so thankful for those hardworking bartenders to pass the time. By the time we sat down there was not many people waiting to be sat at this point. Many reservations that were after ours were sat before us.
We sat down and ordered around 11pm. 20 minutes later the table beside us sat down. About 45 mins later the other tables food was being delivered to their table. Keep in mind this is a prefixed menu…. How did a table that ordered 20 mins after us get there food 20 mins before us?
Did not leave the restaurant until 1am after all of this.. needless to say we still paid over $200 for this experience plus additional drinks we ordered while waiting 2 plus hours to be seated.
Of course when leaving we were now at the highest tier for payment which was an additional $20.
We went for Valentine's Day and had a 7pm reservation. We arrived 15 min early and they were already backed up. It was a prix fixe menu ($95 a person + drinks) but it was still 30+ min wait between courses, waited over a half hour each time we ordered drinks, and we probably saw our waiter 3 times the whole meal. The food was good, but the service was horrible. They we so late getting people seated for reservations that it was standing room only and we had to fight our way through a crowd to exit the restaurant. One couple we were sitting by was seated over an hour and a half past their reservation time and were seated for over a half hour without someone even bringing them water - they ended up getting up and leaving. The couple on our otherside had ordered wine pairing to go with their meal and waited over a half hour after getting their first course to get their wine. All in all, it seemed like a bad dining experience for all involved. For a restaurant charging $100+ per person for dinner and drinks, they should have had a better system in place.
Worst Valentine's Day experience ever. I honestly wish I could leave zero starts. It took hours after our reservations to be seated. I hate we came here.
Exceeds expectations I'll be back
We had 8pm reservations for our 10 year anniversary. When we arrived the restaurant was less than half full, we were seated immediately. We ordered appetizers and main course. The food complimented itself well. I want partaking in beverages above water but my husband stated the wine (forgot the name) was good. I myself had a sparkling water. The waitress was pleasant and attentive. My husband asked for a to-go container with carryout bag. The waitress take up his plate and brings it back...... it comes back with a doggy bag! Yes, a doggy bag! The 1 star off was for the to go container was literally a doggy bag! This is suppose to be an upscale restaurant with a strictly enforced dressed code. A doggy bag is below standards and looks tacky!
This place is amazing.
Our waiter, Jaylen, was amazing! Came to celebrate my birthday and got the lobster Tom kha soup, the beef cheeks, and washed it all down with the Phuket drink. Sooooo yummy! And they gave me a coconut cake that was phenomenal.
Omg this place is so good!!! I highly recommend going w a group. The ambiance is great and so are the drinks and food
Amazing food! Hands down the best Thai food we have had so far! We went tonight and have already recommended it to all my friends.
Chai Yo is amazing!! The best thing we have eaten during the quarantine period. The social distancing made us feel so secure, and the staff was knowledgable and amazing. Please visit our food blog for more info at t_v_fooduniverse on Instagram.
Update from visit 11/11/14
Another Foodie Friday is in the books.
This most recent Friday we visited @chaiyomodernthai . A great place for a beautiful dining room, great service, and world class Thai food.
Here is what we had to eat and drink:
Drinks:
Chai Talay- a tropical fusion of vodka, Lemongrass syrup, lime, and house made coconut cream ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This drink was absolutely amazing!! Like a Thai style Pina colada with lemon grass!!
Food:
Golden Pouches ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
These were amazing. Little pouches filled work tasty shrimp, chicken, and mushroom. The top closure had a nice crunch that added wonderful texture to the dish.
Drunken Noodles ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Chicken, shrimp, onion, bell pepper, bean sprouts, noodles in a Thai basil sauce. So yummy!!
Pork Belly ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Garlic chive blossom, onion, red bell pepper, Thai basil sauce.
Dessert:
Thai Tea Creme Brule ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Slightly sweet, light, and yummy. Like tasting a Thai tea cloud with added sweetness.
Chai Yo has literally never failed us. This is world-class, A1, and amazing. It's what you get when the chef knows what they are doing, and every attention to detail is important. What an amazing experience as alway.

great vibe
Great food, great service !!!
Out of this world good! Beautiful ambiance, eclectic menu
Used to like this place but they removed a lot from their menu, food quality decreased and I found several hairs in my food after it took forever to get our meal. Won’t be returning
beautiful modern decor. appetizers were delicious. I recommend an early dinner around 5:30, since they are short staffed, but that’s everywhere now..only 2 bathrooms for the entire restaurant so there was always a line and wasn’t kept clean, of course being short staffed..sort of awkward in the back corner of the restaurant….once the crowd starts picking up around 7:00-8pm, service gets slow, drinks were coming in 10+ mins after ordering, some not even at all. Just my personal experience but I do recommend this place for early dinner. Drinks were amazing too!
The food here was delicious, but we waited quite a while for it to come out, and it wasn't all that busy inside. It seemed like a kitchen issue, as our waitress frequently went to check on our food.
Updating the review! Went back with group of 9 and would like to say the food the service and the ambience were all outstanding. It wasn’t too loud so we were able to hold a conversation too. Will definitely go back.
Older review- Outdoor seating was one of the main reasons we chose to go to this restaurant. The ambience was great although we would have preferred that the music was on the softer side so that we could actually hold a conversation. The service was excellent. Given the current Covid climate, the outdoor restaurant is an excellent way to mitigate the risk; The restaurant is following the protocols and we would love to come back. I do have a few suggestions to improve service during Covid, which I will communicate using the private message
Very vegan friendly. Excellent food. Beautiful environment. Great service. Very nice location, tucked away in buckhead. Approx $50 a person. Free valet.
My dinner was simply mediocre. The starters were nothing special and my main of “pan fried Chilean sea bass,” did not seem pan fried or Chilean Sea Bass to me. It looked like it was deep fried and the taste and texture were more cod than Chilean sea bass. A disappointment.
This is one of our family’s favorite spots. The staff are ALL so friendly and welcoming. We dine with a service animal, and they welcome our pup too—by name—every time. We always request Sujit because he is kind and personable, and our favorite dish is the Kai Siam.
Awesome Experience! Great date night or special occasion.
The pork belly and beef panang curry were fantastic. Cocktails and the service were great. My only issues were that the chairs in the main room are more for the decor and uncomfortable. So try to sit outside because the chairs there looked more comfortable. Also, I wish they had more vegetarian options to accommodate my vegetarian family members
I had a wonderful experience at this place! The food and cocktails were awesome! Try the "Phuket All" drink and the Massaman Kai dish (curry chicken). I also liked their Brussel Sprouts. Everything was good here. and ur server, (Mikayla) was on point.
When drinks and food are done well ... You can't lose.. great for a date
Met the owner, she is so cool.
Absolutely terrible. Have ordered Uber Eats from here 2 times now. Both times they CAN NOT bag the order correctly and we have to request refund & have no food. It's absurd. A restaurant of the "caliber" and price range should have their act together on every level. Instead, just proves to be a complete mess each time.
Great area. Nice lighting.
Ordered the lamb chops. Substituted the sticky rice for chicken fried rice. Also order the Toong Tong (not pictured) and Phuket all & Chai Talay (drinks not pictured)
Everything tasted great! No complaints. If the weather is nice, I do recommend sitting outside (that’s what I did)
Excellent service, great food, the new management has done well.
Very good food and excellent service. Outside music was a little bit louder than I thought was necessary.
Best Thai spot in the A!
Excellent modern Thai cuisine. Beautiful place, attentive service, fresh ingredients, good food. The coconut ice cream is the best I've had, de-throning the little place in Mauritius. It's fresh and there's long strands of real coconut.
The only reason I didn't give five stars is because the main dish, which was well converting, was way too sweet. The sugar overpowered what should have been the subtle flavors of the various ingredients. Bummer.
Excellent service, great food
Food and service was excellent. My husband took me for my birthday
Hands down one of the best authentic Thai food I ever had. I will DEFINITELY be back
Had the honor of wondering into Chai Yo Modern Thai during one of my nights of being at the St. Regis bar and wanting a bite to eat and they didn't disappoint. Staff was great! Friendly and made sure to answer any of my questions about what was on the menu and explain in great detail. I started Poh Pia Thod which were delicious. So good, as I was tearing into them, I forgot I hadn't asked my friend who was with me did he want to try one, in my mind I was praying he would say no because that would be one less for me and I was living for how good they were! Of course he wanted one, lol.. Onto the main course, the bartender suggested the Moo Gob Kra Pow seeing I don't eat seafood and boy was it amazing! The meat was sooooo tender and the sauce it was in was to die for. I also sipped on a drink or two as well. I can say, I definitely enjoyed the whole experience.
I really like this place. It's tucked away in the building complex between Peachtree Street and the St. Registered.
Really good craft cocktails, the food is on point, and the restaurant has a nice vibe. Definitely recommend.
Excellent spot for date night. Food is good drinks are awesome.
Great food, nice decor. The octopus and beef cheek curry were excellent. Prices were reasonable for upscale buckhead. It is a different experience from the other restaurants this family owns but they are all pretty good. Im interested in trying the chefs table experience.
Not good experience
This place was a disaster. I have never left a bad review in my life.
It took us 30 minutes to sit down with a reservation; our cocktails took 15 minutes to get to us. 30 minutes each time for us to get started on any food off their set menu.
Not a single item that we ate was explained beforehand, and all the food we had was cold. It was a set menu, so there should be no reason for everything to be cold. We had a curry with no rice, and the lava cake was subpar. I have had better Lavacake at Chillies. Not to mention the portion size was laughable.
I paid for 2 people, which entailed 2x appetizers, 2x soup, 2x main course, and 2x desert. We only got 2x of soup and the main course.
We were told that we would get some of our food comped because of everything going on, yet they returned with the check and told us no Manager was available to do so. And left us with a $300 bill for 2 people with 20% gratuity automatically added. Felt wholly scammed out of a nice date and my money.
Delicious
Outstanding service and food was phenomenal. Shannon did an awesome job. If I could give the food, service and atmosphere more stars I would. We thoroughly enjoyed it!!!
Amazing menu and great atmosphere!
Delicious
Great food! Great experience! Thank you Shannon! You were so helpful and super pivotal to our great dining experience!
It was too dark for photos of my food. But I went there to celebrate the birthday of a Hollywood movie executive and the food was superb. Stick your pinkies up have some tea and enjoy the lamb chops. They were my favorite. The lobster fried rice was so good and the waiter/waitress will keep your glass full.
Exciting food in a very beautifully decorated restaurant! This was one of the most interesting take on Thai food I have had! The crispy fried chicken with pineapple is a must!
The food is amazing, the atmosphere is really soothing, and the service was great! We got the crispy rolls, sea bass and lobster. We like our spice so we got Thai spicy and it did not disappoint! The noodles were crispy but soggy in the sauce and the sea bass was flaky to perfection. We also had the lava cake with coconut ice cream, just a great way to cap it off. Would definitely recommend!
Wonderful experience at Chai Yo! Beautiful design and excellent service. The menu has great variety and the meals are delicious! I was so grateful for coat check and also free valet. I will definitely be back & suggest to all my friends. Especially celebrating a birthday with a free special dessert! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5 stars!
Expensive and Overrated in my opinion.
Just dined here tonight. I picked the most expensive dish on the menu. My ribeye was requested to be cooked as medium. My ribeye was cooked well done. When I brought it to the waiters attention nothing was done about it. They still took there 20% gratuity. I'm
All about customer service, and I awas very displeased!
This is a place you don't want to miss. The food is excellent. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is very nice. Highly recommend!
Amazing. The atmosphere and service was fantastic and the pineapple chicken was to die for. Definitely worth the money for the experience. Would recommend to anyone.
Chai Yo has the best service and menu items
The place has nice ambiance and amazing service. The cocktails are good. How ever, the food was not particularly impressive and was overpriced. We order the Pad Thai and the seabass. The Pad Thai was very sweet. The seabass was rather bland.
Superb Cuisine, Service
Place feels like money! Looks great clean and wonderful!
Service is trash our waiter could barely speak English food was out late! We were a party of 10 some guests were done with there meals & others still haven’t received food yet!
Personally it’s over rated! Some of the items are amazing on menu
It’s a hit or miss be prepared might be amazing might be fully trashed!
They truly care about making tht money
Also the straws would brake like cheap cheap plastic
Coke is warm not even chilled what in the world coke is 7 dollars and I’m getting warm u must be joking
First off, Service was exceptional! We were allowed to make a reservation last minute on a Friday but it never seem to be on a wait or a packed restaurant. Upon arrival, we were asked if we parked valet or not. It was unclear if this would be complimentary upon our arrival when parking- so it cost $18 for our 2 hour dinner. If it is complimentary, this should be mention while making the reservation.
The Penang curry took me back to Thailand. Instead of veggie or chicken it was served with braised beef- modern style. Although if was heat, $32 was a hefty price for it. The pad Thai was good but you can get pad Thai anywhere especially at a cheaper place.
The place was great for a date night and the Chai Mai mind was a beautiful and delicious drink. After a few cocktails, one app and 2 entrees after tip was close to $150. The food was good but not that good. Little pricy especially when Thai food is relatively cheap especially if you’ve gone to Thailand and experience it for yourself. Then add $20 for parking- might as well round up to $200 for a date night- not entirely worth it if you ask me.
I’m not saying to write it off but maybe split a meal and plan for apps elsewhere afterwards to keep cost low.
Ordered their version of salad rolls called a basil roll. It was $10, the roll was about as thin as my thumb and it was 1 roll cut up in 5 pieces. What a joke. It was good but overpriced for what you got. Not the typical size or price for them.
Really tasty food but overpriced. I've had better Thai food at regular restaurants. This was touristy Thai food.
Wonderful food and wine.
