Delicious food, my husband and I just happened to come across this restaurant while in Staten Island, and it was just such a complete treat to eat here. We’ve already traveled back to S.I. from Jersey to eat here again. The Pad See Ew is out of this world. Our teas are delicious our appetizers are incredible, and the soups are fabulous. The owner is such a delight, can’t wait to go back, highly recommended! This place feels like home.

Me and my two friends had our lunch at this Thai restaurant, guys food was so delicious, we had some Thai tea to and beers. Today they had special menu going on, so we had something special today, so happy about the lunch we all three of them, they had three kind of sauces we tried them and that’s not we wanted and we explained to them we need that spicy chili and fish sauce one, they make it right away and gave it to us, it was so delicious, service was great and clean and beautiful place, me and my friends enjoyed the meal, I hope you guys to. Thank you guys you guys doing a great job here, keep it up will come again with more friends to enjoy your delicious Thai food ..!🙏🏾

Today was my first time trying this restaurant because of the vegan options, with that being said. I purchased two items (PAD THAI - W SOYBEANS, & VEGETABLE FRIED RICE - FRIED IN SOYBEANS) I haven't had any Asian food since I became a vegan today I had a craving for Asian food and thankfully this particular restaurant was the fist Asian restaurant I came across that has vegan options.
As soon as I reached home I couldn't help myself I went in.
The Fried Rice was good I give it a 3 and a half stars, the Pad Thai with soybean is not all that so I will give it 2 stars.
Now here's where it all gets annoying I was about to finish the Pad Thai and I almost swallowed a dark-curved pointy object which can cause damage if swallowed. And today was my visit to the hospital I am not trying to go back!

The best pad thai on Staten Island in my opinion. Always made fresh when it's ordered. Visited recently, during my birthday week and had the whole fried red snapper. It was delicious! Also tried the veggie-fried chicken option, coconut shrimp and pineapple fried rice.

The staff are always friendly and attentive.

I recently visited forest thai, a Thai restaurant, and it was an incredibly yummy experience. The flavors in each dish were authentic and mouthwatering. From the fragrant curries to the perfectly balanced stir-fries, every bite was a delight. The ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend forest Thai. to anyone craving delicious Thai cuisine

Food is good. Price is decent. However, the customer service needs an overhaul. You can call ahead multiple times to order and then to confirm that your order is ready, and you can still be expected to wait. You ring the bell that they have there and they will tell you they will be right with you. However, you'll still have to wait. The first time we came here, we ordered 45 minutes in advance, however they didn't put the order in until we got there. The time on the kitchen ticket confirmed it. Wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it seems to happen each time we order. Maybe consider changing the workflow to optimize pickups.

Was able to enjoy multiple small appetizers and a soup along with an entree at a reasonable price. The food was all amazing with some great side spices. Highly recommend:)

Wait time on a busy day is more than 2 hours.
Why not hire extra help on a busy day.

Such a gem. The food is delicious & authentic (been to Thailand myself), the host is very welcoming and price is reasonable. Even their simple Thai Fried Rice taste so good, it has this smoky flavor to it. The Rad Na & Larb are also very good. Definitely will come back for more. Highly recommended!

It was overall ok... Nothing super delicious, but ok.

Food is ok nothing to be overly excited about. What’s terrible is the people who work there or lack of. They overcrowd the place and tell people who are waiting it will be a short wait but end up waiting longer. They also continue to take food orders over the phone meanwhile the kitchen is taking a full hour to plate anything.
The serving sizes are super small, think lunch special sizes for dinner service.
There are flies all over the place and I saw a bunch on the wine glass holders above the register.

I used to love this place but ever since one of the ladies serving us rudely counted the money in front of us as if we were gonna stiff her on the bill, I’ve been turned off. Never again! So classless and discriminatory.

Small restaurant but good service and good food.

This wonderful family run restaurant recently experienced a death in the family. This is impacting their operations and is causing slow downs but please have some sympathy.

The timelines they are giving for pickup reflect the greater amount of time it is taking for them to get food out, but quality wise, nothing is affected and is always worth the wait.

This is the best Thai food on the island. Always good incredibly fresh and prepared to order. A kind family runs the place and welcomes you in. The customer service whether picking up or dining in is always impeccable.

My only complaint is "very hot" is never hot enough for me. I need to ask for their scale or ask for Thai hot to be properly scalded! :-)

I have been eating here for 20 years!!! I used to work right next door and the quality has never wavered! In my opinion they are the only Thai spot on the island worth eating at. I only wish they were open Sundays, but I guess everyone deserves a day off! Try the Pad key Mao if you like spicy, it's delicious!

Consistently yummy veggie pad Thai. Been getting this dish for years and never had a bad experience. Also, curry puffs and Thai ice tea with milk is fantastic! Service is friendly and always with a smile.

Are you craving something satisfying without breaking the bank? I don’t live in Staten Island but when I do visit my dear friend who DOES live in Staten Island, I almost always find my way to Forest Thai for an order of their mouthwatering Curry Puff Chicken.

You can choose to be classic with their hit-the-spot Pad Thai, or anything drenched in the Thai Curry! But...mainly, I dream about and exclusively order the Curry Puff Chicken. Can’t go wrong with their Noodle dishes as well.

I find Forest Thai to be consistently delicious food. With so many Thai restaurants to choose from it’s a gem to find a spot that delivers fantastic food and equally efficient service.

This restaurant is amazing! The food is always on point, friendly staff well for the time I have been going there is really only one lady “staff”. However only one major problem and it seems like it’s been that way since the pandemic. They do not have a driver to deliver the food. That is a issue because when you’re in the mood for Thai food and you’re at work like I normally am I can’t just leave my worksite to get food so having a driver is definitely one thing I think this company needs.

Really amazing place. The owners are always super friendly and the food really never disappoints. Their Pad See Eew, Tropical Fried Rice, Panang Curry... all of it is so good! Even their tofu duck, which I've never had anywhere before, had incredible flavor and texture. What else can I say, I'm glad this place exists :)

I will not be coming back to this place. Forest Thai fried rice special , was basically Chinese fried rice , so if you’re looking for that , this is the place . Flat noodle with beef was horrible, beef cold and so chewy my crown came loose. The waiter screwed up 3 out of 4 things I ordered. I was so disappointed. I really wanted to believe the rating of 4.3 was worth checking out, boy was I wrong . I love Thai food and this is not what I would expect from a Thai restaurant .

The Crispy Soft Shell Crab Curry was the BEST curry I've ever had! So so so delicious! I'll definitely be back really soon

I would give five stars due to the food always being excellent! I come here once a week and never had a bad experience until today 8/16. I went today for my usual and the woman behind the counter asked me for a tip when I turned around confused she said never mind and proceeded to state how people shouldn’t come for service if they can’t tip. She did nothing but ring up the total for the order!!!! That was extremely rude and uncalled for in front of the other customers. I’ve been bragging about this place for a month telling my friends and family to try the food and now I’m ashamed. It will take me a while before returning here! However there is another woman who works towards the evening who is much nicer and such a sweetheart! I recommend the food here! Just not the woman I dealt with today!

This place will make you feel like most other Thai restaurants are chains. Their food has this home cooked feel that you don't get at other places. Can't reccomend enough.

LOVE Forest Thai, I have been coming here for years and they never disappoint. Their food is fresh and delicious every time. Their Pad Thai, Curry puffs, and Tom Yum soups are some of my favorites. The service is great, it’s a small family run restaurant and they make you feel right at home. Must try!

Let me start by saying I can't believe I haven't tried this place till now. I've driven by it many times but never thought to stop in till last night. Was in the mood for some thai food, so took a chance. Glad I did.
Ordered the chicken satay, shumai, and pad thai. All were really good. The restaurant is small but very cozy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I noticed that there were a lot of take out orders. I can understand why.... it's really good food!
Will definitely be going back to try out more of their dishes.

So I am very upset about the service here tonight. My best friend and I usually come here to eat our vegan meals because their food is decent, but tonight is the last time. When we first came in the restaurant, they were busy, which is understandable. We waited at a dirty table for 20 minutes while they were working on other orders. When we finally got seated, we waited an extra 15 minutes for our order to be taken. The male worker came over and took our orders. As he brought out our drinks he slammed it on the table and did not even look at us. After that we ordered our vegan meals. I ordered my meal with vegan beef and brown rice. When the meals came out, my best friend tasted my meal and said it was real beef, which IT WAS REAL BEEF. After I specifically explained to the young man(he also asked us what type of meat we wanted) that I want it as SOY BEEF, he placed the order as real beef. I was pretty annoyed at this because that is not what I ordered and I do NOT eat meat. He came back with a new entre five minutes later. As I began to eat it I realized the cooks just replated my meal and switched out the meat, so it still had pieces of real beef left in there. I was aggravated so we just paid them their money with NO TIP because they did NOT deserve it and decided to leave. As we were leaving the lady rudely rushed after us and said excuse me ladies are you forgetting something? We looked at her and she opened our bill and said where’s our tip? She was so disgustingly rude and this situation was very embarrassing because the entire restaurant became quiet and everyone was staring at us. I turned back to her and stated that they messed up on my order and was very rude, so they didn’t deserve a tip. I will NEVER step foot in this restaurant again. That was so rude and unprofessional. We understand that accidents happen, but they did not even care enough to make me a new plate or even apologize, but were so quick to ask for a tip. They need new workers with better attitudes and are aware of what they are doing. DO NOT go here, especially if you have special dietary needs because they DO NOT CARE! We learned our lesson and now they just lost valuable customers.

Lady asks for tip when it’s only a party of 2, there’s no restaurant policy that asks for tip unless it’s 5 or more people. On top of that she gets the order wrong and no apology was given.

I think they have some nerve charging $4.50 for Delivery. I hope this goes to the delivery person because if not then the delivery person will not longer be getting a tip. They don/t bother to read the notes when you order on line. This is one place I believe we will be crossing off our list of places to get food from.
