Fashionable outpost featuring a variety of classic Pan-Asian fare, sushi & cocktails.
The intimate and cozy space is perfect for introverts, date, chill, or enjoying a meal, especially in the evening. The staffs here are very kind and cute. The menu is varied, which includes popular Asian dishes, and mainly Japanese ones. Highly recommended for the Makimono. They tasted really yummy and worth😋. We tried some cooked ones since my besties couldn't eat raw food, but it was still damn good. The lollipop shrimp was also delicious. The kimchi fried rice is fine, but a little bland with the others. Also, for us the Pad Thai was kind of sweet. We expected it to be more sour and a little more salty. I would say order some veggies or soup, so you will not get bored quickly. I will be back to try the shushi and other dishes.
Went for a work group lunch. Food is some of the worst I’ve had in Boston but it came quick and the music wasn’t overly loud.
The three roll combo is ~$20 after tax. Salad was probably ok, but didn’t finish it because the tomato had a strong mush/beet-y taste like it had been sitting around. Cucumber was ok. For sushi, rice was on the harder side and didn’t seem like short grain sushi rice. Two of three rolls tasted fine, the third one tasted like rubber (the way tires smell) but with wasabi was ok. Forced myself to finish since it would’ve been too awkward to send it back with colleagues around
I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for this lovely establishment. The cleanliness and the attentiveness of the waitstaff truly enhance the experience. The food is exceptional, reflecting a high level of quality in every dish. I can certainly see myself becoming a regular here, as the staff are incredibly kind, and the professionalism in the food preparation is evident. This has been a wonderful discovery for me, and I wholeheartedly encourage everyone to give this place a try; I believe you will be thoroughly pleased.
My first time ordering from here and very disappointed especially with the price point being so HIGH! I ordered chicken pad Thai & I literally got unseasoned no sauce noodles with peanuts on top and chicken being tough/dry with 0 flavoring. Very upsetting and a waste of food honestly. 0/10. Looks nothing like the photo advertised. I want a refund honestly.
Just tried ordering through GrubHub and when the driver came to pick up the food, another driver had already taken it. They don’t care enough to make sure that the correct person takes the correct order. Not ordering take out from here again.
My friend found a bandaid in her noodles

BBQ beef so chewy, its almost inedible. Disappointed i can't eat my 20 dollar lunch.

Ordered five rolls, received four, and one of the four was wrong.
I always order take put, but they are so nice when I go in! And the food is INCREDIBLE, whether it’s a rice dish or sushi!
I ordered miso soup and a sushi lunchbox with Tempura shrimp & tuna sushi pretty good.
Ordered avocado maki, crazy roll, citrus summer roll, and shrimp lollipops. Overall, food was delicious, especially the shrimp lollipops, if a bit pricier than expected.
Excellent food
vegetarian food was decent but rice was not fluffy. also too expensive for the quality

Everything is bad , food , customer service, just everything 😞
I used to come here all the time when I worked on the other end of Tremont Street. The Thai waitress is no longer there and it remains a takeout place principally but you can sit down and eat. The atmosphere is nice enough.
In my last visit, I ordered the Kimchi chegue (Kimchi stew). It was decent but didn't measure up to my memory of stopping into mom and pop restaurants in Korea. And, how could it? The broth had a tomato and cracked pepper feel and didn't have the kimchi base I miss. I like that beef is an option -- in Korea, there is only pork -- but it had a weird texture, like it was missing a browning/caramelization.
In short, it wasn't the trip down memory land that I hoped it would be but there's some good grub there, for sure -- I saw people get it -- so I will be back again but I'll mix it up and get something different.
I’ve enjoyed their food in the past but the pad thai was incredibly mid. This is the first time i’ve had a pad thai I didn’t like
Sushi was good/average. Not a fan of the "menu/order/pay via QR code" system which means very little staff presence. Water glasses left unfilled, etc. We were the only ones there. Won't be back to eat, but may get takeout.
I went to this place for dinner with my friends. The food, ambience and service was great but definitely not a place for drinks.
I normally get my lunch after run since the food is affordable at this place but had forgotten my phone today and when I asked the hostess to order for me through desktop she was kind enough to do it. I ordered wings for the first time as her recommendation and it was really good. I loved spicy better than buffalo. Would definitely recommend this place for quick, easy and affordable food.
This is one of my go to place for different kinds of foods. Sushi and dumplings are my favourite foods over here. They offer exceptionally great service. I have been fascinated by the humbleness of the server. Overall food and sevice was awesome.
Absolutely loved this place. Service was excellent. Food was extraordinary. Loved the sushi. I would loved to go again and again.
Really good food, love the spicy wings!
Absolutely horrible experience dining in at this restaurant. First off, there was only one waitress there who was in an absolutely horrible mood the whole time. She was on her phone watching tik toks loudly on speaker for most of the time. Additionally, there were people waiting for their take out orders for 30+ minutes.
I also got the Summer Rolls, which had undercooked shrimp in it. When I sent that back, the waitress was completely unapologetic and didn’t even say sorry. Next, when I got my entree and asked for a fork, she gave me a fork wrapped in a napkin that seemed to have some sort of mold on it. She also did not say sorry when I mentioned that as well.
I will never be coming back to this restaurant again, and I hope people see this review and the horrible experience that I had at this restaurant.
This is one of my go to spots. However, I'm only giving 4 stars because they often fall short in some important areas and are often inconsistent.
For example, my last visit I ordered a side of kimchi. It came in a small sauce ramacin. It wasn't even good kimchi... they've done much better themselves.
The soups and curry dishes are great! The apps and sushi are imaginative and tasty. The chicken is blanched and tasteless so I stick with the seafood.... shrimp or salmon depending on the dish.
These guys are better than average and a good quick go to spot for lunch or dinner. The wait time for the food is also reasonable which always helps.
Waited 30’ for some sushi— seaweed was stale and fish smelled bad
Amazing place!! Loved the sushi and the noodles, definitely would recommend the great gatsby!! Service was great too! If I could do 6 stars I would definitely do it
Very delicious Asian style cuisine with a wide range of options to entertain the palate.
Food is ok but better options across the street. Their ordering system is a nightmare. Took them forever to put my order in.
Mirjana superstar helpful friendly nice customer service
One of my favorite places 😍
Delicious food, I will definitely return. They were very stingy with the sauce though
somewhat slow. cashier was very emotionless. bland noodles....but the beef was very good
Nice food. Good dumplings 😋
The Go Fish roll and Rainbow roll were delicious.
This place has the best shrimp tempura!
Korean Fried Chicken is very very good I'm not right I do not like that pad thai
The white and black cashiers there are not that friendly. No say “Hi” or whatsoever whenever I have come in. They need to train to be better CS-oriented cashiers.
Nice service here.
Good sushi and service was good.
I ordered the Mama's Dumplings (port) and the Udon Noodle Soup. Dumplings had just enough crispinesss to the dough, without being hard and the filling was very flavorful. Udon was delivered with the fresh ingredients, tempura and broth all in separate containers to keep things fresh/not soggy. The broth serving is generous: Enough to fill the bowl with a little left over for when you've eaten some and the bowl could use a top-up. Flavor was on point for all the ingredients, and the broth was well-balanced (you can actually taste the other ingredients, not just soy). If you order for delivery, there's a fee, but also a tracker to give you a heads-up of when your food will arrive and where it's at in the process. I was shocked when they matched their estimated arrival to the second. Contactless delivery, and the driver actually sent a photo showing exactly where it was left. Worth it. Definitely dining here again.
Got the Christmas roll and it was SO good. Friendly and very easy online ordering.
Good food. Very personable staff.
The Experience I Had Was Horrible, Until I Called Their Other Store @ Symphony. Ray Had Taken Care Of The Issue From Another Store. I Have More To Say But I'm Going To Leave It Alone Ty Ray For Showing What Customer Service Means.
Good sushi
Ordered take out from Grubhub, their service was fast and the food was really delicious. The wings taste great and so does the Korean beef bowl. Would 10/10 recommend for well cooked take out food for a winter day.
Everything was delicious! Would recommend the Thai curry 🍛
I always go eat at off times so I can't say much about how crowded it is. Service was nice (although the host was a bit awkward, but otherwise wait staff were hip). Other than the eel sushi entres, most specialty sushi dishes had "spicy mayo" so if you're not a fan, stick to a la carte. Their chicken is huge and fill you up easily. They have a variety of Asian fusion dishes that can satisfy any picky eater.
Excellent sushi but pricey.
Update****This review was not for Ginger exchange it was for Mission Sushi and Wok which changed to Ginger exchange. They changed names and owner and I this they just carrier over the reviews. I've never had Sushi at Ginger Exchange!***
The Ginger Exchange Restaurant near Brigham Circle is very good! We had sushi pizza, udon soup and pad thai and all were delicious. They have the best flavor in the area! I highly recommend it👍🏻
Newly renovated, name change but still the same owner and staff. Dependable and reasonably priced. They do take out and delivery.
It's okay, miss the old place. Food was good but not as it was before. We'll be back, the waiter was really nice and the place is very convenient.
Unsanitary food
Fresh and delicious sushi, and very authentic Korean food
i had japanese before but this chef and their food is amazing, i think they use best quality seafood , try sushi and sashimi here and i am sure you willl have the best experience one can have
Guys best sushi best place i am loving it
If you want to have a quick lunch. This is NOT a place to go. I went to have lunch. The server didnt come to take an order after 10 minutes wait. I called someonelse in the hall to order as I had to go back to work on time. The server all of sudden got mad at me because I ordered to someonelse !! and started arguing that I had to wait for her. What an attitude and behavior. I never had such a rude server to a customer. I ended up leaving without lunch. Had No apologies. I brought it up to a manager. The manager didn't do anything , but watched the server keep arguing. Handled very poorly. Very poor service and slow. The restaurant does not even train people.
Agradable Restaurant, Korean Food, sweet potato and buffalo wings spicy. Korean and American style
Those Wild Wings will change your life. Also there was a price discrepancy from what I saw online and the manager gave me a free tea it was so good
I personally don't like cucumbers so I asked them to take out cucumbers from spicy tuna which has cucumbers. Instead of taking out cucumbers from the rolls, they put cucumbers into every single sushi I ordered.
Great food, great service.
I've been coming here ever since they owned and I've never been disappointed. My family is picky but we all can eat here.
Delicious food and service!
Great quality food, with a clean kitchen. They get busy and forget an item here and there but all in all great neighborhood spot for Asian bites.
Incredible Asian cuisine at a very affordable price. Plus 50¢ dumplings on Tuesday and 75¢ wings on Wednesday, if you're in Boston and craving Chinese this is definitely a place worth checking out.
Great staff and food.
Great service. Sushi pieces was all fresh and delicious
Sevice was excellent order was correct for the first time.
Good food and drinks for the price, don't understand why this place doesn't have more business
Fast service great quality food nice quiet atmosphere
Decent Korean fried chicken but not spicy at all
Lots of choices for the non sushi customer. Had the teriyaki shrimp and veggies. Very tasty and fresh.
Light more than hanging lamp, spread,
Away from mundane, a conversation led
Through peaks and valleys and to truth;
Such flight, I knew in my youth.
O'er sushi glazed by tang and spice,
Saki Salmon, wrapped in rice,
Raised questions of the furthest ends,
I pass heart's redemption in my pen.
Comes check with time, conversation past.
I pay it whole to ensure tis not our last.
Our coats slip on, then into the rain.
Maybe loving friendship be not in vain.
TLDR: Good sushi, reasonably priced; nice dinner environment, kinda dark and classy; good company.
Love the Kimchi fries and sushi is real good also. Good flavors in the pad thai. Crab rangoons are a must.
All the food in the menu is bomb..... Esp. The drink are good made by tony.....
First time here. I'm not disappointed. If you like sushi, it's the place.
Love their Avocado rolls
Good tasted and looked great, music selection in the dining room was perfect.
Delicious pan-Asian good. Relaxed hip atmosphere.
One of the best Japanese restaurants in the USA. The tastes of meals resemble to real Japanese foods in Japan

This place was definitely not worth it. I spent $30 dollars for a orange chicken and bibibamp that had no sauce and no other side dishes in it at all. If it wasn't for the fact that I was working and I really needed food in my system, I would have called and gotten my money back. Don't waste your money people.
The chicken is amazing!
Food is good and service was good, I recommend this place
I came in the other day just to have some lunch! Shante suggested I ordered the Soy Garlic chicken wings...let me say that those were the most phenomenal wings I ever had! Shante hit the nail on the head! The manager Anthony was very respectful, welcoming and helpful. If Shante wasnt arund he made sure I had all that I needed. Wonderful resturaunt! I cant wait to try somthing else
This place has ok food I ordered a lunch and was never told that after a certain time they serve their food differently I politely asked why I wasn’t informed when I was ordering I was told that I didn’t say LUNCH SO HE GAVE ME SOMETHING DIFFERENT SO i asked for my money back that wasn’t an option because it takes 2 days mind you im super hungry and never had an issue here until this day I took the food and I will never come back here horrible service
Delicious Sweet Potato Maki, Bao Bao, and Bento Boxes
The food is very good, but the prices are extremely expensive (I guess that's what you expect in Boston). If you don't mind the extreme cost, then this is a great sushi restaurant with friendly staff.
Our party comprised of 7 members. We found that the service was very slow even when the restaurant wasn't busy (there were just about two tables occupied including ours). We weren't welcomed by the staff who didn't seem to understand the dynamics of service.
What I want to greatly emphasize on, is about the approach that: this one individual had towards us. I will be calling him the manager from here on, as he seemed like one and I guess I am right.
To find out when our drinks will arrive; I rose my hand to grab his attention. He looked at me, unresponsive and was reluctant to come by. When he did, I expressed my concern about the drinks being late and mentioned that we were a party size of 7 and would much appreciate it if the service could be faster. The tone with which he responded clearly stated that we were being taken for granted.
In the next 1.5 hours that we were there, we noticed that this manager walked to every table checking-in with customers. He even took orders politely and addressed questions with humility but never approached us. After the cheque was cleared, he came by to clear the table of the plates but didn't utter a single word. We stood up and left. Our presence, experience and comfort was never accounted for by this obnoxious individual.
Now this makes me wonder. Was this manager biased and discriminating? There can be no other explanation for this, can there be?
He was disrespectful, arrogant and didn't value us as customers. He out rightly ignored us.
If you think you could become a victim of this, then Mission Sushi isn't a place for you, at least when this manager is around. Also, the manager probably should revisit school and get lessons on hospitality with a FREE SPIRIT and understand that conditions DO NOT apply. Else he just isn't fit to be a manager in service/hospitality sector.
Before I end this, I do want to say that the waitress who was serving us did an exceptional job!
However, we are certainly not going to return. Negative experience is at one level while discrimination is of a greater one and can never be tolerated.
Fatty meat
food is good but came to pick up my take out and was waiiting for a long time finally asked, and they brought out my food from the kitchen and it was cold. clearly it had been done and just not brought out to me
Sushi was lovely
Great sushi and a variety of Asian foods. Cute & comfy.
Almost always bumping the lastest hits. Food kind of takes a while
Bad service only ones in there and they have more staff then people In there. And still kind of ignored us. I think it's better with takeout I got drunken noodles small portion but good food. Sushi needs work I was not impressed at all
I had small tuna sushi (green outside) app. I like plain rather than super fancy. Dinner = extra flavor Mission Pad Thai more spice and peanut than regular Pad Thai. I probably won't be in this area again on my visit but I would go here again.
I ASKED 4 A BIBIMBOP 3/6/2018, EXTRA VEG. BEAN SPROUT,4 SLIVERED'S OF KIMCHI IN A SMALL DUCK SAUCE CONTANER ,& VERY SOFT EGG , THE IS THE CROWN OF THE DISH NO FRICKING LUCK, RICE BLAND MUSSY , THE BLACK SWEET SAUCE NO WHERE TO BE FOUND, MAYBE IF THEY TURN DOWN THE MUSIC , SHE WOULD HAVE GET MY ORDER RIGHT , NOT WORTH LOOKING TO PARK GO TO W- ROXBURY (THAI SPICE) BETTER FLAVOR MISSION SUSHI -0
7:21pm - Ordered sushi for delivery. Was told 45 minutes. Yes, I realize that it's Valentine's Day.
8:15pm - Called to confirm my order was arriving. Told that the driver is out with the food and that they are "very busy". Fine.
8:45pm - Called again. Mentioned again that they were busy. Said they would contact their driver and call me back with an ETA.
9:30pm - No call backs from the restaurant. Not picking up at the restaurant.
9:38pm - Called yet again. Driver is apparently "in the area" and they are "backed up".
9:49pm - Delivered. Keep in mind that this is sushi that has been out for delivery since at least 8:15pm. I can appreciate that this may be a busier night than usual, but the delay and unresponsiveness are ridiculous.
Save your time and money. Eat elsewhere.
Sushi is always great here. The Symphony pad Thai is my favorite dish.
