The rolls here are unique and well paired. The atmosphere is great! It is perfect for a quiet date night, a business lunch or dinner, or a night out with the family. We highly recommend this place for great food, service, and atmosphere.

Oyshi is always great quality food and service. Their sushi is always fresh, and I usually sit at the sushi bar with my Partner to talk to Chef Sith and his wife. They are very attentive, even if they are very busy, and the waitstaff is always helpful and friendly. Today we tried the Boat 4 2 and we were very pleased. I paired it with a Sapporo Reserve. I think the value is actually spot on and I highly recommend this sushi bar. It’s laid back and casual but still nice.

Tried this place with my wife and when I looked at the menu , 90% of the rolls have KRAB in it. Not that great taste. Sushi rice quality is very poor too. That was our first and last time. I wish it was a batter experience.

Where to start…service sucked took 20 minutes to leave. 4 parties walked in after us and they got their drinks ordered. 20 minutes there we couldn’t even get a drink order. 4 waitresses and waiters then asked to speak to a manager and they couldn’t present one. Said they’re too busy to get me a manager when they were standing around the bar drinking their drinks and laughing. Came to BŌ BBQ instead. Came in sat down and had drinks in under 2 minutes great service. Save yall the time don’t come here go else where.

I absolutely love this place!! I cannot say enough about how wonderful the owner and staff are! The menu has a wide variety of rolls, and other food options to choose from. My favorite is the softshell crab appetizer! Clean and friendly service every time! We enjoy sitting at the bar and chatting it up with the Sushi Chefs while they are preparing the rolls! Food is always amazing, but if you’re gonna charge $2.00 extra for Soy Paper in any sushi roll make sure the chef actually puts the soy paper on the roll,. I came in on 10/01/2023 around 2:30pm and it was not busy at all. I was literally the only customer there and was told order was still being made,. Waited at least 5-10 mins seated at bar before food was ready and the single roll I ordered was still wrong. I understand accidents happen, but please make sure if you’re gonna charge customers a decent amount of money you make the sushi order right, because I understand the current economy isn’t cheap but that also applies to customers, if you’re gonna charge for EXTRA ITEMS MAKE SURE YOU ACTUALLY PUT IT ON THE ORDER INSTEAD OF STEALING THE CUSTOMERS MONEY! I only say this because this has happened for the 3rd today!

I just want to start off by saying the sushi is so good. And the fish is fresh & the combination of flavors is very good. We have sat inside multiple times and always had kind service.

That being said, I am a server at a sushi restaurant and have done togos and serving at sushi restaurants for 8 years. I know it gets busy and I know it’s hard with two chefs. But. I was told my Togo would take 20-25 minutes, when it reality my food took over an hour. It’s so much better to be honest with the customer about wait times— I would be fine if I was expecting to wait an hour, but being told one thing then having to wait over twice as long (especially when you have a baby) is frustrating. I know it gets busy. I understand. But honest communication with the customer goes a long way.

I made an order today for 1 habatchi dinner and 2 large miso soups and I added bean sprouts. My total came out to like $40, $50 after the delivery fee. The food portion was so bad I don't even know why they bother to say you get veggies because it's was 3 carrots and some burnt onions. I'm not sure how the bean sprouts were because they didn't give then to me. I'm super disappointed. I wish I had of taken a picture so I could post it here. It was really bad.

Was about to try your place because online it says 3pm. Every single server and cook present would not even do a to go. This was absolutely poor service. Every person who works should always do their best for their place of work. Lots of posts about employers over working employees but seriously employees also need to WORK!

Let me preface this by saying I've never dined in only had takeout or delivery. But I have been inside and the restaurant is beautiful and clean. The food is phenomenal and sushi top notch. They have so many rolls to choose from! The Coleman is my favorite. You won't regret ordering from here.

This is my favorite sushi spot in Corpus! All the dishes have exceptional flavor and the sushi is always fresh. Sith and his wife are a great sushi making team and always makes me feel at home when I sit up at the bar! I always recommend this place to friends.

Very poor service from our server. She did not check on our table. She brought one dish and the second dish 20 minutes after. We felt that she didn’t even want to serve our table. We noticed she was giving the table next to us poor service as well. I had to ask for my tab, did not return to pick it up. I had to get up and pay to the bartender while she was as there talking to the bartender with her back to me as if ignoring me. This restaurant has great food but she is really hurting their business.

My friend and I ordered the dynamite roll and broke out in hives/rash and were throwing up all night. DO NOT ORDER THE DYNAMITE ROLL!

Sushi wasn't bad it was okay... the service was terrible! The servers were grouped together at the front bar. We waited 20 minutes for a drink while the girls talked about getting insurance money and fighting with their parents. Wont be coming back. Wasn't worth it.

After coming here with my girlfriend every Sunday for the last 6 months, I cannot find a single reason to rate Oyshi less than a 5. The service is phenomenal, the wait staff are wonderful people. I've had almost every specialty roll in the menu and have only had 1 that I didn't care for. The salmon popper bites are delicious too! Please give them your business! They deserve it!

Two white guys (no discrimination intended) are at the sushi bar and I have a feeling someone in the kitchen doesnt know anything about the menu or the flavors. Lame experience. And it is my daughters birthday. Hell no.

Bleh. Service is okay, rice is... DISHONOR. My god why you serve the rice like that. Yuck, my friend and I came here for dinner, the rice on the sushi roll was basically gooey glop, barely distinguishable grains. The flavors were just okay. They don't give you soy sauce but they'll pour a pool of sriracha. You can't have traditional rolls but there is a "traditional" section of just no girl which is okay. It is a chain restaurant so definitely don't hop in thinking you'll get anything authentic but even for mass produced I do have expectations that even this didn't meet. The decor was not bad though, my friend was asking me why I say its okay to wear sweats but I said no, we judge the food not style of room.

Just got done eating here! We ordered 3 rolls and a couple appetizers. All of our food was excellent, no complaints at all. Our waiter Morgan was very good, and on top of everything. He was polite, friendly, attentive, and helped make the dining experience worth every penny. The atmosphere was lively, and colorful. We’d definitely come here again, and I plan on recommending this place to anyone looking to dine in!

Pretty good place for sushi, but not the best. We've been here a few times and ordered various roles and sashimi. Most recently, we ordered the boat and it was good. Service was good as well, but overall it's on the pricey side. I don't think that the the price justifies the quantity. If you're looking for a sushi place to fit your taste buds, then go for it. Ultimately, I'd look for a more concrete place as there are various sushi places in the area.

Firzt time there. The sushi was great, the fact that one must scan the menu was very difficult as MY phone wouldn't read the scan for the menu so i had to use my friends phone to order. The restaurant didn't offer an alternative or a solution to this issue. Since we spent a lot of money on our food. We will not be back there are plenty of other sushi spots to go!

This is a nice small size restaurant that is big on service and great sushi. The inside is clean and nicely decorated. The host was very polite and the waitress was fantabulous. I have been here a few times now that I have been home and really enjoy it. The sushi roll I had, the spicy Diane, was done very nice. Fresh fish and great flavor. I also enjoy the fried egg rolls with the peanut garlic sauce... outstanding. I do recommend this place if you're on the Southside of Corpus Christi.

The waitresses are a little slow, but the sushi Sith prepares is worth it. So far I have yet to get a bad order when I go there. Even the chicken curry there is great. I would give them a 5 star, except I feel like the staff gets bogged down and we ending waiting forever or asking multiple times for a refill.

Update: this is probably the best sushi place in town. The Dolores is one of my favorites. Definitely have to go eat there.

This place is ok. My mom ordered pad thai which was good and only $8 for lunch. I had the red curry. Both her and I love curry and a little spice to our food, but this was so ridiculously spicy, we couldn't eat it and had to send it back. That's not something we ever do. It had a good flavor, but I don't understand why we don't have a choice in spice level like in other restaurants. Not everyone is a fan of swallowing fire. The service was ok, but the waitress never even asked if I wanted something else. I just wound up sharing the pad thai with mom. I love curry and want to be able to eat it, so no offense but I think I won't be coming back.

I would like to start off by saying the food is delicious. The rolls are large and flavorful. This would become my new favorite sushi place, however the service was awful and the atmosphere was unwelcoming.

It seemed like everyone who walked in would talk to the staff, and tables were left unattended. It gave me a weird vibe, kind of like showing up to a party you were clearly not invited too.

The level of professionalism in the waitstaff was horrendous. I ordered wine, and never got it. Instead of our server owning up to it she stated "well looks like that other waitress forgot your wine". Only, she was the one that took the order. Waters were slow to be refilled and the seating and server assignment was awkward.

I think what threw me over the edge to "I don't care how good the food is, I won't be back" mindset, is when I watched the staff and a few customers take sake bombs in the dining area, in a pretty disruptive fashion to other guests. Literally were yelling "when I say sake you say bomb. SAKE! BOMB!" I wish google would allow me to post the video of the experience.

Anyway, if you're okay with having dinner in a frat house type environment, cool. But definitely not for everyone, including myself.

Me and my boyfriend have gone there 2 times in the past month. The sushi we ordered was really good. We'll definitely be going back. Can't remember the name of our server last time but he was very attentive and always available when we wanted to order more food or just needed refills. Atmosphere was okay. There are always a few staff members sitting by the back table on their phones which is a bit unprofessional. Maybe if there was a divider or wall to separate that area from the diners? Otherwise I'm there for the food. As long as the staff isn't giving off bad vibes it's a pretty nice place.

Her lack of energy, her lack of wanting to work and when taking the order it seemed as we were a burden on her added to the experience. When we were ready to go, the bill was misplaced and no one knew where it was. We waited a long time as they figured out what happened. The waitress Lily was MIA. She never gave us the bill and was hiding in the back. Finally the evening manager found the bill. The remainder of the staff when we walked in until we left were sitting around the bar chatting as if it was a social bar forgetting patrons are waiting to be served and seated. Spoke to the evening manager in charge expressing my concerns and she seems disinterested. Food was OK but not out of this world for the price. These types of restaurants unless they properly train their staff and improve their cuisine will not last long and will close door or change ownership. I can get much better service and food for less money at Imperial Cafe just to mention one out of many.

2nd time here in 3 days lol. Had to come back, sushi was so, so very good! Hope this place sticks around, it will be one of my go to sushi places on this side of town from now on. Tookie, Northshore and Dolores rolls were my fave.

Excellent atmosphere, food and service!! Tried the Viagra salad its great!!

This reasturant has some of the best sushi around ,besides the traditional recupes they have some very unique innovative choices ,our family favorites are the Cowboy and the Yahoo.these choices are our birthday Must have go to's.
