Delectable Thai Cuisine
The food was good. Did not disappoint.
If you are craving Thai, you can hot this spot and it should deliver.
Knocking one star off, because, i ordered this drink which was so good, that i ordered a second one. Turns out it had some form of caffeine which was not indicated in the menu, and it kept me up all night. I had a 8 hour drive the next day, so it was rough.
We definitely loved this place! Very worth it of the money and experience. We’ve been to Thailand ourselves before and this restaurant is seriously closest to the taste we’ve tried before. Recommend the place 5/5⭐️ Also, they have Chang beer that is hard to find in town! My boyfriend ordered Khao Soi and its hard to find restaurants that serves this (He definitely loved it!) The dessert was amazing and well-plated. I also had a vegetariam friend who ordered Tofu Pad Thai and she said that the Tofu was well seasoned! Will definitely go back and recommend it to people we know in NOLA and Mississippi. Good Job as well for all the staff! Very welcoming and accommodating. ❤️ I just hope that people will find this gem like we did in this big town. 😉❤️
Just had the best experience at Dahla!
Went with a couple friends for the last little bit of Happy Hour, so we each had a couple different fun and delicious cocktails. The ambiance and vibe of the restaurant is beautiful! That chandeliers really stood out to me.
Now the food, we each got a dish that was suggested and every one was absolutely amazing. The explosions of different flavors and perfect spice levels will have me back at Dahla very very soon. We even had the ube cake and Coconut ice cream for desert which was the perfect treat to end our experience. The service was perfectly attentive. Both owners came to greet us and make sure we were enjoying ourselves. I can't wait to go back and try different things on the menu!
One of my favorite Thai spots in the city! Small but clean with a beautiful upscale ambiance. Lots of standard Thai dishes at slightly higher price points but the portion sizes are large and quality and freshness definitely up to par. Very attentive and quick service with servers that are very knowledgable and kind. My only critique is that I wish the crab rangoons were real crab or at least advertised as imitation.
Superb all around and the full menu isn't even out yet! Service was great and the FOOD!! Ordered the chicken basil thai rice with medium spice and a thai tea and it was well worth my money overall. Taste through the roof on the rice, though do be warned if you're not about spice you may have to do without it even if it's medium. A couple of bites had me reaching for the tea, but it was well worth the eat. And the price may seem like a bit but it's great bang for your buck considering you get two portions worth for the price. I can't wait to have more and can't wait to dine in as well. Hella recommend this spot.
(Pics are from when my family n I ate here as well!!)
Really nice Thai food. Staff was welcoming and atmosphere nice, but not presumptuous or too laid back. It's probably a good place for a first date. The Tom Kha Gai was excellent with the right amount of heat. We had the khao Soi Noodle Soup, which was also excellent. The Pad Woon Sen that was good, but lacked a little flavor. I ordered it medium, but it had no heat to it. Even without the heat, a stronger overall flavor would have elevated the dish to excellent. Certainly, I will need to try them again and see if they just had an off night with that one dish.
Food and service was great. I took my girlfriend here for Valentine’s Day and I truly enjoyed my experience.

Visiting for a conference. Drunken Noodles were very good and not so spicy that it was not enjoyable. Crab Rangoon was very good and like the sweet sauce. Very attentive service.
Got the shrimp pad Thai to go. For the price I paid ($20), the portion was a little small, but it was delicious!
The bartender followed me outside and asked why i only tipped 15%? 1 star for the that. I was with my family and he said i should tip more. No respect, never coming here again.
This is a really good locally owned Thai restaurant just a few blocks outside the French Quarter. I got the Crab Rangoon and the gyoza as appetizers, and they were amazing! For dessert, I loved the Umi cheesecake so much I got a second slice. I also found the chandeliers and the detailed mural made the space feel classy but still casual. The service was also very good. I will definitely be back.
Incredible service, delectable cuisine, beautiful and clean interiors
I'm obsessed with the drunken noodles and tom yum soup. Good spice level, I never find good spicy enough but their Thai hot is good
Everything is delicious and fresh! The price point is higher than other lunch spots downtown, but the quality is excellent!
Best Thai food in NOLA. Prompt and friendly service. Highly recommend! Cocktails are superb as well.
I don’t ever write reviews but this place is hands down the best Thai restaurant. The owner and staff are amazing and always so kind to us. Their happy hour is hard to beat with a great selection of cocktails and wines. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. I recommend this place to everyone!
Forcing 20% large party fee on all parties. We were 3 of us. For our $80 tab, they slapped ‘$16 large party fee’ tab so total $96+tax. When asked that 5 or more is large party the manager said “the law does not hold them from charging” the large party fee for all parties.
This is called daylight robbery!!!
I’d say please be cautious and condemn this greedy act.
I was a restaurant owner. This practice is unethical, foul and can be proven illegal. Just that people don’t have time to go after these greedy outlets.
Stay away from these greedy arm twisters !
The best Thai restaurant in the U.S. thus far! Outstanding food and service.
5 stars for the food. 3 stars for not telling us charging 20% for 5 persons. (Nor do I see it on the Menu)
Crispy duck was fantastic! Food, drinks, and service was impeccable!
Thai is one of my favorite types of food and I love this place. Since moving here I have struggled to find authentic Thai food in the city. So glad I found this place.
Incredible service, food, and a good vibe without being overdone. This place surprised us in all the best ways… every dish was delicious, fresh and portions are generous! Staff was incredibly attentive and kind. Such a gem!!
I’ve had their food 50+ times and it never disappoints!!! The food is made quickly, the service is wonderful, and they are family owned. I love supporting them and I hope they stay in their CBD location forever
Greatly disappointed, order my food thai hot and it had no flavor or spice what so ever. The pineapple fried rice was just plain white rice with peas and carrots, no basil, no Thai spices nothing. I felt like I ordered fried rice from a gas station.
We were on vacations and found this place in a Google search.
The atmosphere is good, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious 😋!
The price is also fair, and compared to other places that were more famous it has a very fair price. We had an soup, two entries, one soda , and a dessert for $60 whereas other more famous places in the city it would be double the $.
I would recommend it ☺️
Wow! Spectacular craft cocktails paired with some of the best Thai food I’ve found in the States — I will definitely be back!! From the rich crab rangoons to the pineapple fried rice, every dish my group tried was so fresh and full of flavor we wanted to try more even tho we were stuffed. Every cocktail was a treat too, especially the Chiang Mai Nights with its rich fruit blended with whiskey. And if you’re a fan of coconut, you can’t miss the Thaibuprofen!! And to top it off, the staff are all awesome- so friendly and helpful
This is some legitimately fantastic Thai food with the added bonus of some top-class cocktails. Spice and flavor were perfect, as is the ambiance. Will definitely return!
I was already a fan of this spot, but after my experience tonight, they have earned a customer for life! The place is well-decorated, the food is consistently delicious and affordable, but the service is where they really impressed me this visit.
I ordered a dish for take out and paid extra for glass noodles, which wasn’t an issue. When I got home from picking up my order, I realized there was an error and I didn’t receive the upcharged noodles. Just as I was about to call the restaurant, they called me first!!
They were super apologetic and made it right. I have never had that level of customer service with a takeout order before.
I frequent this restaurant for lunch and dinner, but I will always come back now due to that simple act of service. Thank you!
Ok so this place has been on my radar for a while … last night, we had birthday dinner reservations on the OTHER side of St Charles which we couldn’t get to because of parade timing. We took a chance that we might get in at Dahla if we were lucky?
Not only did we get an immediate table during Mardi Gras weekend, but we got fast, wonderful service, awesome drinks, and surprisingly quick, perfect food.
Panang curry was rich with perfect heat. Pad Thai was equally delicious but the TOFU!! Maybe the best I’ve had in New Orleans.
Thank you for such a great experience! Can’t wait to go back.
I really liked this thai restaurant. The spring rolls were flavorful.
The spicy pineapple margarita was surprisingly delicious. I like spicy but not really in drinks but decided to try it and wow the jalepeno was balanced by the pineapple so it turned out to be my favorite drink while i was in new orleans. I recommend trying it!
The service was great, attentive and helpful staff. The food was delicious, would have liked more eggplant in the dish versus leafy veggie but overall the flavor and portions filled me and i will be back on future visits
Extensive menu for all palettes.
First time here. It was amazing!! 🤩
Chicken Pad Thai was on point. If ever I'm in the area again, will definitely be back. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience❤️
Nice neighborhood restaurant serving good food. Off the beaten path so there’s always space, and the ingredients are simple and delicious. Great service and our waiter was prepared with some recommendations. Ordered a few appetizers and the shrimp and vegetables. Everything tasted great and it’s an easy place to come for a meal or a few drinks.
We definitely loved this place! Very worth it of the money and experience. We’ve been to Thailand ourselves before and this restaurant is seriously closest to the taste we’ve tried before. In a city with a well-earned reputation for great food, it's still fun to find one more spot to add to the list. Dahla serves fresh, scrumptious Thai food and killer mardi gras-themed libations in a section of the city that continues to spring to life. Service is stellar and the manager is completely engaging!
Ok so boom, the address was a bit misleading cuz it takes you the the complete opposite end of the building. After calling to figure out where it was, the waiter stood outside for us to make sure we found it.
The moment we walked in I knew this wasn’t just any ole Thai spot, they are an upscale Thai cuisine establishment, VERY DIFFERENT if you just want a regular Thai dish though they do serve them, it’s in the experience and the plating and everything.
We were treated amazingly! The waiter suggested dishes and we got all the traditional thai cuisines to gauge how authentic it was. They passed the test!
Everything was wonderful from the crab Rangoon and Spicy Drunken Noodle to the Tom Yum soup and Fried Rice. Two of us are avid google reviewers and we all forgot to get pictures, that’s how good it was.
Now, I was VERY underwhelmed with their wine selections. It’s almost as if the wine menu and food menu were created at separate time with noooo thought, rhyme, or reason. And they didn’t have a single red outside the US. We would’ve gotten a bottle with our meal but nothing was good or justified the price.
Other than that, our waiter - Dillon I believe his name was, made the experience a very fine dining experience. It’s been a minute since someone sold the dining experience to me and he did an amazing job. I made sure the tip reflected that.
Overall, I would come here again, with my own glass of wine. The ambiance was very sexy and the food matched the vibe. They do need to step up the wine menu.
Tried to call multiple times to place a Togo order and was sent to voicemail Everytime well before closing time.
Im so crazy about Thai food, and here has the best thai food I've ever had. Must TRY!!
Found this gem through a friend. Very friendly staff that’s equally attentive. Great cocktails from the bar. Started with a crab Rangoon app and it was wonderful as were the entrees. Definitely coming back here!
I don’t know if this says more about us or the food, but this was our favorite food in New Orleans. The green curry and the drunken noodles were delicious! The atmosphere and service was nice, too.
The food was MEH. LITERALLY. How in the are y'all gonna have "Chiang Mai" on your actual menu, and still can't find a pepper in the place? 0/10. "Spicy drunken noodles": more like bland, sober-vigin noodles.
I am in New Orleans for a conference and ate here twice so far. The food is very good and the service too. Tom who served us was very polite and accommodating.
A late night Thai snack 😋
I ordered the Pad Thai, Stir-fried Vegetables, and the Fried Shrimp Dumplings for delivery. The dumplings were great. Everything else was just ok. It wasn't as flavorful as you'd expect and the shrimp in the Pad Thai was over cooked.
Just got takeout and paid 20 dollars for a curry dish with about 3 dollars worth of food in it. The portions were a joke. Barely any chicken, 1/2 cup of rice and maybe half a pepper all swimming in curry sauce like a soup. There are so many other Thai places in town with better food- this place is a rip off.
Excellent thai food. My favorite in new orleans. I loved their original spot in metairie thai ocha and since moving the taste has remained consistent. Satisfied every time!
As a Thai people who were growing up in Thailand. Dahla has the best Pad-Thai in town.
Pros
Quick and Fast service
Great ambiance for a date night
Happy Hour options
Drink selection
Cons
Food
Special request
Service doesn't understand English well
I was delighted when I saw the inside of the restaurant and the menu. I thought for sure the food would be great because the employee would reflect their future culture in the food. Boy was I wrong. The food was horrible and better yet, I could have made this at home with more flavor. Next time let me in kitchen and pour the sauce over the noodles. Then I would over cook the shrimp and don't add anything to them. Presentation was nice but this food would have made a great doggie bag for the stray dogs and rodents in the neighborhood. Definitely a waste of money.
Great food but service needs improvement - the waiter wouldn't let us have enough time to decide on what to eat
Good Thai food at a reasonable price. Great location!
Yum!!!!!
Best Thai food experience in New Orleans! I’m always a little bit skeptical of Thai food in any city, as they usually lay on the sweet. However, Dahla encompasses the perfect vertices of great food in a sexy ambiance, with an ambitious cocktail program to compliment the food. We had the drunken noodles, larb, papaya salad, and kra pow. My only complaint is when I asked for spicy, they probably thought I was weak. Next time I’ll ask for Thai Spicy 😝
most clean and fancy looking restaurant ive ever seen, food was amazing, servers were nice and price was very reasonable
Great place to have a quiet dinner with excellent Thai food. The staff is super friendly; they suggested drinks and the most popular dishes. This is high cuisine! I chose Green Curry Chicken which was delicious. The cocktail I chose was Chian Mao Nights. Just perfect! We’ll definitely eat here again back before we go back to our Miami.
Food is average. The restaurant is bougie and priced as such, but it will take care of that craving if you need a break from soul food.
The veggies in the soup and main course were a little Al dente, but I guess I’d rather that than soggy. The wonton soup was tasty.
Gyoza comes with 5 piece instead of an even number which is always a little upsetting, but they tasted fine.
Spicy drunken noodles is good. Noodles have good texture, not really spicy, but overall good enough. Wish the portion was a little bigger.
Service was good, food is ok, I’d come back out of convenience.
Absolutely delicious!
Easily one of the best restaurants in New Orleans. The food was truly spectacular - the passion for creating wonderful meals was evident with every bite. Combine that with the impeccable service and ambiance of the restaurant and the end result is a truly one of a kind dining experience in New Orleans. The owner has crafted an incredible restaurant and I urge anyone visiting the city to make a stop here!
Do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant in New Orleans. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths! Absolutely the best meal we had while in Nola.
Incredible food, service is always top notch. 100/10. Cocktails are fantastic. Crab Rangoon is homemade with real crab. Everything is fresh, flavors are bright and memorable.
The food was amazing!
Great place for lunch. Food is delicious and service is super quick. Recommended!
The food here was great. I had pineapple fried rice with chicken and it was delicious. Had a couple of beers while my friends had bougie cocktails. Great time was had by all.
Amazing food great service! I love Thai so I figured I would try this place. It did not let me down! The Drunken Noodles 🔥🔥 perfect spice and flavor! Will definitely be back
My family has visited three times, and every time we had a great experience with the amazing dishes. Noodle, rice or soups are all delicious, beautiful and even healthy. My hubby and my son especially love their desserts!
Amazing food. I was skeptical at first because they dont have many reviews but they’re soooo good. Service and food. Location so welcoming. We tried the thai fried rice with shrimp really good and also the delicious thai beef salad. Edamame for appetizer and as drinks we had blood moon cocktail and a thai beer. Sooo good. We’ll definitely be back.
This place is out of this world! They did an amazing job on the decor, lighting is fantastic, & the staff could not have been better. We tried several different entrees & each one was cooked & seasoned to perfection. There’s a good variety of drinks as well & the bartender did a great job of helping me pick the perfect drink. 5 stars only because 6 isn’t an option!
Fantastic cocktails! Bartender is super nice
This is the best Thai restaurant I've ever experienced. Every dish we tried was perfect. It's my new favorite spot.
Taste like home
Great atmosphere. Really pleasant staff. I got the spicy drunken noodles and the red curry. Enjoyed every bite!
Will be coming here often
Superb all around and the full menu isn't even out yet! Service was great and the FOOD!! Ordered the chicken basil thai rice with medium spice and a thai tea and it was well worth my money overall. Just had the best experience at Dahla!

FANTASTIC! Been to Dahla several times and even brought a group of friends in and they never disappoint. Incredible Thai food, amazing drinks and the venue is both intimate and cute with the decor. Great atmosphere for any occasion and extremely friendly/courteous staff.
Very good Thai food with pleasant service.
Delicious food!! Service is outstanding!!
Would absolutely recommend this place. The owners ran Thai Ocha in Metairie before they opened Dahla. The food here is flavorful and the service is impeccable. My boyfriend and I are big fans of Banana Blossom on the West Bank, so it's nice to have a similar restaurant here. The menu is different, but yummy all the same.
Update: We ordered to-go the second time around, and it was still just as good. The first time, we got the Tom Yum Fried Rice, the Spicy Drunken Noodles, and the Tiger Tears. The Tom Yum Fried Rice had a good kick and plenty of seafood; the Spicy Drunken noodles cooked with just the right amount of chew and flavor; and the beef in the Tiger Tears were not overcooked, with is a star in my book. For our to-go we got the Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai, and crab rangoons. All were hits. The crab rangoons actually had stuff in it other than cream cheese.
Delicious! Fast service, extremely friendly, beautiful atmosphere in the restaurant, and everything tasted amazing! Best Tom Kha we’ve had in a LONG time! Highly recommend!
Revamped Thai Ocha; New name, same owner. Located near the Superdome, next to Willa Jean. Street parking. It's a small restaurant but also have outdoor seating available. The interior decor is simple but the gold leaves chandeliers are the finishing touches to the beautiful restaurant.
We ordered a lot for two people because of course, I wanted to try a little bit of everything. We had the crispy calamari, shrimp tom yum, papaya salad, spicy drunken noodles, basil fried rice, and mango sticky rice. Everything was absolutely delicious! The flavors were well curated. Some dishes were a tad spicy but nothing overwhelming. It's a good type of spice, "kick". But then again, everyone's taste buds are different, so maybe spice levels may be requested for adjustments.
Service was superb as well, considering how busy they were. Everyone seemed to work well together with smiling faces and kindness. The only thing I wasn't too fond of was the noise. It was extremely loud because there was one large party. So, of course, every other table had to talk loudly or scream over one another. With it being such a small restaurant, I'm assuming it'll still be loud even without large parties. Besides that, this is easily one of our favorite Thai restaurants in New Orleans.
Best Thai food in the New Orleans area!! This is the upgraded version of Thai Ocha that used to be in Metairie and was a local favorite. We used to order takeout from there weekly during the pandemic. Now they moved to the CBD with a beautifully renovated restaurant space and an expanded menu. Friendly and welcoming service with great food and drinks. Our favorite entrees are Pad Thai w/shrimp, Basil Fried Rice w/chicken and shrimp, Drunken Noodles w/chicken, Thai Tea, and the Thai Tea Ice Cream for desert. We can’t wait to come back and try all the new things they have now. The food here is just soooo good, seriously, you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. If you like Thai food, you need to check this place out!
Good good hehe
My husband, a few friends, and I had lunch here while on vacation in New Orleans. The ambiance was great and the staff was so friendly. We ordered and shared quite a few things. For appetizers we had volcano shrimp, spring rolls, calamari, edamame, and crab Rangoon. The volcano shrimp was jumbo and tasted so fresh. The calamari had the lightest, flakiest tempura breading on it and also came with some tempura zucchini. The crab Rangoon also tasted so fresh and the crab tasted real, like they didn't use imitation crab. We also ordered the chicken pineapple fried rice and the chicken basil fried rice. The basil fried rice had a good amount of heat to it due to the Thai chili sauce. Both dishes were excellent. I also had a whiskey cocktail from the bar and it was one of the best drinks iva had on this trip. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant.
This place rules. Spring rolls were great. Thai fried rice was great. Thai noodles were great. Service was prompt and friendly. Very clean inside. Can't wait to go back.
Wandered in off the street and loved everything!
Best staff, Amazing service!
Incredible cocktails
10 out of 10
Delicious new Thai restaurant! We came for opening weekend and loved everything. We ordered the fried spring rolls to start, then the Khao Soi Chicken (phenomenal), Green Curry, Drunken Noodles and Pad See Ew. It was all excellent. For dessert they surprised us with a matcha crepe cake slice and ice cream. Yum! The drinks were also great! We will definitely be back :)
Went with a large group of friends to Dahla tonight and was blown away. The food and drinks were amazing, and the space was stunning (those chandeliers!). We ordered the spring rolls, papaya salad, shrimp tornado, and more for appetizers, and I got the panang curry as an entree. I cannot recommend it enough. We ended the night full and happy...and ready to come back! If you love Thai and you're in the city, don't miss out on this gem!
The food was delicious. I had the Thai spring rolls and Pad Woon Sen. The service was wonderful!
Best Thai food in nola! everything was so delicious!!
I’ve been to every Thai restaurant in New Orleans and this one takes the crown. The service is phenomenal and the food is even better. Thanks Glen for an amazing experience!
This place is excellent! I apologize as I have no photos...I ate the food way too fast, it was all so good!
Waitstaff was super friendly and attentive, ensuring everyone was helped and made to sure get answers to any questions we had. We started with Thai tea and several appetizers, i could have happily consumed several of the teas, but refrained so that i would have room for all the food. The shrimp dumplings were amazing! Crisp and very flavorful. The goyza and spring rolls are also good. For the meal, we all loved our food: curries, noodles, and soup. I can personally attest to the quality of the Tom Kha and the Pad Thai. I will definitely be ordering both again. The price was good for the portion size and very good for the quality of the food.
The restaurant has both lunch hours and dinner hours (weekdays and weekends), a little unusual for CBD but much desired, personally. It was their first day open so food was a little slow coming out, but absolutely worth it. The dining space is decorated with colorful murals, huge metallic leaf chandeliers, and moderate lighting.
