Thai Cuisine with vegetarian and vegan options available.
AMAZING! New favorite spot β€οΈ they have so many vegan options Iβm so very happy to find this place. I got the drunken noodle with tofu, a taro smoothie with coconut milk, my sister had the tofu chicken with steamed vegetables and we shared the green dumplings. Everything was perfect π€©
Visiting from San Antonio and our cousins brought us here and it did not disappoint! We had the steak Pho, orange chicken, yellow curry, and sesame chicken for entrees. For appetizers we had the wontons, wings, chicken dumplings, a cup of egg drop soup and chicken salad wraps. ALL the food was fresh and delicious!!! The side of rice was an entire bowl! Staff was great and very friendly! You must try this place out!β
Yet another Thai place that cannot make curry. Watery and oily, bad fake straight from a can flavor, tough precooked ingredients. One bite and I wanted to walk out immediately. If you can't make curry you have no business having a Thai restaurant. If you can't make curry take it off the menu and just sell noodle dishes instead of STEALING $15 from people when they want Thai curry. I can make better curry myself at home
We were here for lunch and ordered 2 dishes, which was good enough to fill 3 people.
Food ordered : Red curry and Pad thai (tofu)
Spice level : 4
This is one of the best Thai places we've found in the DFW area.
Our friend took us here, and we all left happy.
Definitely try this place if you are looking for a good thai place.
For the price, it's more than what you will pay.
Stopped by for a quick lunch and was happy with my service and food. The Thai rice and Basil Rice were both great and we're served super fast. The wait staff did a great job and the food was tasty. The spicy miso that came for free at lunch was pungent and delicious as well. The soup came out crazy hot but was delicious. Overall great place and I plan to come here again soon.
Establishment is a local favorite
Exceptional food and wonderful service.

We ate here for the first time to night. We ordered Tom Kha & Pad Woon Sen. Both of these dishes were extremely underwhelming. In fact, the Tom Kha was lukewarm and tasted like it was made with shrimp then they dumped it out. The other dish was flavorless, no seasoning or sauce we had to take a drink to choke the noodles down. We wonβt be going back.
The smoothie was amazing though!
Came in because of the awesome reviews. I ordered 3 Chicken Pad Thaiβs. Though the portions were fairly large, the chicken was not only dry but so was the pasta. The lime was also dried out. Also, the chicken was limited and chopped up as small as the peanuts. I was highly disappointed because I just wanted my family to be happy. They requested McDonalds next time. I should have requested a refund but I didnβt want to drive back. Maybe I came at the wrong time.
Great!
Chicken Pad Thai added shrimp and beef.
I'm going back, after I get PAID!
Very nice food

Amazing food.
Amazing service.
We got sat right away, our cups were never empty, the food came out fast and was delicious.
This is our go-to Thai place in Arlington.
Quick and friendly service, very good food, and a relaxed environment.
First time here, and it was great! The food was excellent and the staff was very polite and attentive. We will definitely be back!
The Tom Yum Soup was phenomenal!! Also great service!
Best Thai food we've had outside of NYC. Great folks too!
Love this place!!! Sunny Thai is my familyβs go to for eating out. We especially love getting some yummy warm takeout then watching a movie at home together and the location is super convenient for us.
The servers are always top-notch. They know what theyβre doing! Not to mention they never make you feel alienated or rushed, you feel like people genuinely want you to enjoy the food. I have to really thank the staff for not getting upset with all the modifications I ask for with some of my pad Thai haha!
Wonderful, wonderful place. Highly recommend.

Love it...
This placeβ¦ is not very good. Iβm a bit perplexed by the good reviews. The restaurant itself is pretty casual, definitely more so than most Thai places I feel. Service was friendly. I ordered the salt and pepper squid and the khao piak sen/chicken with the crispy chicken skin as a topping (on the side). The squid was battered into a blob, the batter was undercooked but soaking in oil. It was an oily, squishy mess. Flavor was not there. The fried chicken skin had good flavor but again the batter is wrong. It felt heavy and it was not freshly fried. Super tough, barely any crunch. The khao piak sen is the biggest disappointment. The chicken pieces were overcooked and flavorless. The broth was murky and devoid of any flavor. The broth was like the hot boiling water they cooked the chicken and the noodles in? I love khao piak sen and this made me so sad to eat and pay money for. The noodlesβ¦. They came out in short clumps. It tasted old and floury. I will not come back but maybe the usual Thai fair is what people get and will taste better? I feel like the dishes I had were so poorly cooked, I really canβt imagine thereβs a standout on the menu.
Just as an aside, this place is TOO casual for the tip options to START at 20%. Itβs an akin to a fried chicken place.
I love the pineapple curry! I drive 45 minutes a few times a month just to get it!
Came here with my FOUR other friends, and we were left very disappointed. Our server had a terrible attitude and didn't even bring us utensils or napkins( we saw other tables had them).
But the reason why I would never come back to this place is that we got charged 18% for a party of six, even though there were only FIVE of us.
I ordered online on a Friday night, just one hour before closing. My food was ready in about ten minutes, which seemed a little too quick for my liking. The fried dumplings were excellent, and the Tom Yum had great flavor, but the texture was off. Unfortunately, the Chicken Pad Thai had such an unpleasant smell that I couldnβt even bring myself to taste it. It seemed like it had been sitting out all day. The place was somewhat busy, but I never experienced not being able to taste the food.
Everything that I tried here is good
The Best Thai restaurant in US.
Worst Chicken Pad Thai in the area.
Itβs usually the safe choice, but this place couldnβt get that right.
No flavor at all. I asked for level 5 spicy, and not even that. Spicy Ketchup had more kick than what ever I got.
New to the area and my favorite food is Thai. I am vegan and Thai food is always fresh. Came in ordered staff was quick and friendly and my Thai fried rice was amazing
Delicious food! Looking forward to coming back again to try more dishes.
This place sells possible the worst excuse for tom yum soup I've ever had. The base is more tomato than chicken broth, it tastes very sweet for some reason (which is very wrong), I don't taste and galangal or keffir leaf, and they had the actual nerve to use teeny tiny baby shrimp (even though they force you to pay extra for shrimp). I believe it was spiced with regular old American red pepper flakes... It was so bad I was gagging. So much for authentic Thai food.
I also tried their egg drop soup, because it's hard to get that wrong.... Well, they got it wrong. It tastes burnt for some reason, was suspiciously thick, had a lot of gray colored egg, had little black bits of God knows what in it, and the green onions tasted rotten.
I am so tired of falling for the hype. There are no good Thai restaurants around this area, but the locals don't seem to know any better because this is what they're used to. Hopefully someone can change this.
Curry is awesome. Doesnβt matter which one theyβre all awesome
Got take out thru Uber eats idk if that had something to do with it but I ordered the pad sew ew w/ tofu, veggie egg rolls and veggie dumplings. Iβm vegetarian and Iβve never had issues with food I order tasting like meat but the pad sew ew tasted like straight up chicken, it did have tofu but also pieces of chicken, the taste was just meh overall. My egg rolls were missing and I wouldnβt recommend anybody to order the veggie dumplings. The portions were not worth the price either.
Drove 28 mins to this spot and arrived 30 mins prior to close and was greeted with βtake out or pickupβ. Most respectfully, if youβre open until 9:30pm and I arrive at 9pm, I should not be declined dine in seating.
0/10 for service.
This is the best Thai restaurant I have ever been in. My wife and I love Thai food, Sunny Thai has the best tasting food, big portions, reasonable prices, comfortable seating, and attentive, friendly, fast wait staff.
And if you are vegan or just trying to eat healthy, they can make almost anything on their big menu vegan. They have delicious beef, chicken, and salmon substitutes that taste like the real thing.
Their panang curry and mussaman curry are so good no matter whether you get them with beef, chicken or vegan.
And their Thom Ka soup is delicious. We have brought many people here that had never eaten Thai food before. They all loved it!!
Tom Kha for some reason has gone from delicious to I don't know what kind of soup it is but it doesn't taste like Tom Kha. I actually make it better. So disappointing because everything else is wonderful.
Best Thai food around!! And for a great price!!! The service is great too. We had Nam, she rocks!
My kids jump for joy when they know dad is bringing home Sunny Thai. The curry fried rice is delicious, and we like to mix it in with the regular fried rice to lessen the spice for the perfect flavor. Itβs become a new family favorite for take out.
Weβve been to this place many times and it never disappoints! Great food served by great people!
$43 for two entrees and the food was very bland and dry. We will not be back .
I'm here from Georgia, 1st visit. The food is spectacular.
The staff and service are extraordinary. I felt welcomed as soon as I entered
I will visit this restaurant before I head back home
You guys should try their curry fried rice with beef!!!!!!!!
I was here a couple months ago and my previous review no longer reflects how i feel. I tried this place again today and was very happy. The food was still delicious and all my issues had been resolved. The food was spicy like I asked for, and the service was great.
Some great changes have been made here and i feel like i was heard in my previous complaints. Cannot wait to return!

Really good flavors... tanginess pad thai, delicious shumai coconut soup and do spiciness.
Our current favorite for Thai food! Lots of options, excellent food.
I thought the food was just ok. Tge food came out really fast. The drunken noodle I ordered could have been hotter (temperature wise) and it was too much on the sweet side.
Best pad Thai in town. The chicken soup and spring rolls were excellent. Our server was gracious and kind. She kept out drinks filled.
Got the Pad See Ew with beef and a 4/5 spice level for takeout. The food was a little pricey but delicious and the staff were nice. The spice level started to be felt about a third of the way through the dish. Would definitely recommend!
Best Thai food around DFW.
Mmmmmm Iβm ready for another round!
Sunny Thai's Pad Kra Pao and Drunken noodles were flavorful. The portions were good size. The steamed rice was moist with good texture. Sunny offers 3 varieties of rice with their entrees. I chose the 4/5 spice level, and it wasn't too much for my palate. I'll be back.
I ordered online and the food was ready when they said it would be. The food was delicious and we will be eating here again!
Chicken noodles soup with Sticky Rice!!!
I was 1st introduced to fried chicken skin here. It is an awesome idea, and it tastes great. Wish other restaurants would carry it. I come all the way from GA to enjoy this crisp goodness a few times per year. πππ
No cheap but no too expensive, but it's really worth the food and service
Best veggie egg rolls π and chicken thai fried rice π
Our go to for Thai food. My husband loves this place. He is vegetarian and they have lots of options for him. I usually get the pad Thai or green curry. Always delicious.
Best Thai food in Arlington, TX.
My best friend loves this place because they offer more than just tofu on their vegan menu-- it really is sooo good.
My go to is their Panang curry, Lao papaya salad, chicken satay,, but everything is delicious!
This is the best Thai place in the area. The food is fresh and the service is very friendly and prompt. The best Pad Thai and Panang Curry!
Fast service. Good fresh and tasty!
Good food and ambience. Family owned so there is authenticity in the food. Been there multiple times and always found the quality to be the same
Good and crispy orange chicken (rare in Arlington) and good fried rice too
My favorite cuisine is Thai food. While in the area I found this place and saw the amazing reviews so decided to try it. I had the mixed veggies with shrimp and chicken, a Thai tea and the Tom kha with chicken. Close to being full, I became ill. All symptoms of food poisoning.
Ordered basil fried rice and red curry. red curry is pretty great and fried rice is little down on seasoning. But nice place to have some dinner.
Love there food options. Food is amazing
i love the food and the server she was super nice
This is our go to Thai spot in Arlington. Service and food are always top notch
Honestly!! Spot on every time, Iβve never had anything bad from Sunny Thai! Definitely worth the money.
Best Thai food in Arlington that's for sure.
I love this place. They have so many vegetarian and vegan options. They did is fresh and delicious.
Have only done pick-up. Food was cooked fairly quickly and came out well. I recommend the pineapple curry. It is a solid option for the take-out short list for those in the area.
Best Thai restaurant in Arlington! My favorite is pad se ew with beef. Iβve tried almost all their curries and fried rices all of which are also good! Good and quick service whether youβre dining in or to go. Iβll continue to come back here.
Side note: i have a peanut allergy and they accommodate very well.
Food is excellent.
Service is so so.
The worst service i have ever had the waiter heβs so rude and angry from the beginning and he put the food on the edge of the table away from me without saying anything then he did it again when he refilled the drink without asking he put back on the edge again without saying anything
I used to had lunch here a lot but after this rude waiter thisβs my last time
And this a pic shows where he put the food at the beginning
Oh man, do we love this place! This is our go-to place for thai. The food is delicious, I recommend the yellow and green curry. The staff is friendly and always attentive to our needs. We love coming here with our friends.
Sunny Thais is our favorite Thai restaurant the food is always fresh!! And we have tried many dishes and all of them are good, and the curries are really good!!! My favorite is yellow curry and some dishes that I recommend: pineapple fried rice , Herb Chicken fried rice, crispy soy beef. They also have a strawberry smoothie and it's really good!
Love their food and service. Im knew to Thai food, this was my second out of 3 pad thai experiences and this 1 is my favorite! Also had their Rad-naa, *sorry if i spelled it incorrectly* but DELICIOUS
Ordered pad kee mow and special order a whole stripe bass, was really good. I asked for medium spicy but canβt taste any. Will come again and will ask for spicier level
Perfection
The food is fresh and delicious. I enjoy whatever I get everytime I go.
Great place. It's BYOB so it's nice to sip wine along with good food. Definitely recommend it and bring your drink
Jungle curry will not disappoint.
This was my first time here with my two sisters. We ordered:
Pork egg rolls - very good, thin, crispy
Papaya salad lao style level 2 spice - I couldn't eat this. I have ordered this at other restaurants and loved it but the flavor here just wasn't it for me. I expect it to be fishy but this was fishy in a bad way, not a balanced taste. The way the lettuce was cut also was not conducive to the flavor spreading to whole salad. The spice level was also very mild. It didn't taste fresh and I had to drink a lot of water to get the taste out of my mouth. Very sad...
Soft shell fried crab with basil and fried rice - very well cooked and tasty. We especially loved their fried rice, that was our favorite thing we ate.
Pad Thai level 3 spice - no spice at all. We were very disappointed. It was also too sweet.
Green tea ice cream - delicious and very large scoop
They didn't have mango so we didn't get to try their mango sticky rice
Overall there were some tasty things here but I wouldn't come back. I have some other Thai/lao restaurants I prefer inside of the Bien Thanh and in Irving and Euless areas.
Service was good and quick. Restaurant has decent amount of seating.
I have ordered from here a few times and every time itβs really good. Food is hot & fresh! Their desserts are really good too - love the service provided here! Definitely recommend! Try the Tom Yum Soup
This restaurant provides a great dining experience. They keep the place clean by sanitizing tables after each customer. The staff is friendly, helpful, and genuinely enthusiastic about their work. The food is delicious, diverse, and reasonably priced. Weβll definitely come back here again!
Donβt sleep on this spot. One of the best Thai places in DFW.
This place is on the 2023 best restaurants yelp list, and I think it was definitely worth stopping by on our drive through Texas. Great food, reasonable prices.
Very delicious! The shrimp roll appetizer was amazing as well as the seafood pad see ew. Scallops were cooked perfectly and not tough at all. Sesame chicken was a table favorite...even for my picky seven year old!
Yellow Curry and Pad thai are my favorites
I have been trying Thai food in Arlington are and this place has not disappointed me.
5 STAR:
1. The food is delicious.
2. Reasonable price
3. Very good quantity
4. Excellent quality of food
Just a recommendation :
1. We ordered Thai hot but it wasnβt that hot. Red chili paste on the side helped!
2. I felt service was a little slow.
Best thai restaurant in town! The service is always great and so is the food!
Great masaman Curry, Will be back again!
However, no Khao Soi :-/
As a regular, I always love the fantastic food and great atmosphere here, every single time.
Food always tastes good, minus pad thai-I've not had good pad thai in Dallas.
Absolutely the best thai I've ever had!
Amazing food and excellent friendly service definitely coming back
Update 2023 had the Tom yum soup and Tom kum and volcano chicken most bland soups I have had at any Thai place in the dfw and I have been to a lot should of stuck with out regular choice but wanted to try sometime new and forgot I had been here before last time was 3 star was hoping the volcano chicken was like the one I had growing up in Milwaukee Wisconsin when I read secret volcano sauce I was excited this might be the one like back at home which only turned out to be the same as all the others Iβve been to in the dfw area that claim volcanoes sauce and all it is is a spicy sweet and sour I have bought myself at the grocery store
The food was ok. I like the pad Thai, but the pineapple curry (too basic, and not spicy).
Came in here to order last minute because my apartment flooded and needed food last minute. I ordered my food and they seemed in a rush to get me out of the restaurant. They handed me to go bags (without asking) and informed me I couldnβt eat it he restaurant. I find it funny because they said nothing to the white couple across the room. If youβre black donβt waste your money here.
Our go-to Thai place in Arlington.
I am so happy to see how far this family-owned restaurant has come, since 2019. Not only does their food taste great (as always), but their service is the service you can only get from an honest, family-owned, restaurant.
Unfortunately, my husband and I donβt live in Arlington anymore, but the hour drive to come eat here was absolutely worth it! Weβll be back very soon!
Thanks Sunny Thai!
Love this place!
Go ahead and get you the Thai Pepper Steak level 4. And finish it all off with that Mango Sticky Rice. Mmboyyyy itβs so good π π¦
Excellent food!
Every time we visit!
Great Thai food, extensive menu, large potions.
Took my mom out here, relaxing music, Aum was a very good server!
Waiter was rushing us to order and not very nice . Food was ok not all of that but man very very small portion. We just couldnβt get them to smile Definitely not going back .
Best Thai there is!
Usually go here from time to time. Curries good.
But their pho is gross. I have gotten it before and it had a clear broth with all the meats.
When I ordered it he said there is only beef strips with it and that itβs a diferente type of pho. I was served tough meat w/oily greasy broth.
Never again.
I like the food here a lot, the pad Thai is a bit sweet for me but I enjoyed the spiciness. Service was good, it's a small place so it can get packed. Most people take the food to-go.
The food is great, service is good, and the prices are all right.
Absolutely love the food. Disappointed on the price increase for our usual simple fried rice and orange chicken. Still recommend.
Amazing food and service both. Best Thai food in DFW.
The first time I went there, the owner's son and the owner knew right away that I was new, which says a lot about how well they know their customers. Both of them made a point to come over and talk to me. Really nice family and staff run this place. Very nice people.
One of my favorite Thai restaurants. Amazing food, even when ordering through DoorDash! Quick delivery, food is always fresh and hot and seasoned amazingly. Will keep coming back here. :)
This is my favorite Thai spot! When anyone asks for Thai food, I bring them here. The food is authentic, delicious, and consistent. Our favorite waiter is Remy. He is so kind to us and makes great menu suggestions for us based on our preferences. Everything he has recommended has been so delicious and his service is the best of the best.
Gets better and better every time we come!
Sunny Thai offers a remarkable vegan Thai culinary journey. Each dish bursts with authentic flavors, a treat for taste buds. The staff's friendliness and attentiveness elevate the experience. For Thai cuisine enthusiasts seeking vegan options, "Sunny Thai" is an absolute delight. A must-visit gem in the vegan dining scene.
My favorite Thai/Laos restaurant in the DFW they have variety of everything on the menu even pho! I highly recommend this place the service is amazing.
Absolutely amazing!
I had to make sure and post a review before I leave and forget. We had the Rad Na, Herb chicken fried rice, Kao Piek Sen chicken.
Great food and amazing service. Mango sticky rice is a MUST.
The food is amazing here! I am in town for work coming from California and have been here 4 times in the last 4 weeks :) Soon I will be relocating to Venus, TX but happy my job is in Arlington and close to Sunny Thai. I will definitely be here again in the future. Thank you for your hospitality and delicious food.
A Thai restaurant in Arlington is in Yelpβs Top 100 restaurants. I had to check it out. Thai is my favorite ethnic cuisine. I used to live in Arlington but at no time heard of Sunny Thai. There are several Thai restaurants in Arlington which I would recommend.
My wife and I had a history of indulging in Thai food. We were in the habit of spending a fortune on it in a place in Fort Worth. This place shut down when the owner retired to Thailand. But she taught us a lot about Thai food.
We assess a new Thai restaurant with our favorite dishes. My wife loves Pad Kee Mao. Itβs also called Drunken Noodles. My favorite is Panang Curry. We both love Tom Yum soup to start. For dessert, we love Mango with Sticky Rice.
Wow! Everything was full of flavor. And the service was fast. No wonder it was in the top one hundred. We couldnβt believe we didn't try Sunny Thai before. Especially since at our former house, the drive was only six minutes! We now live further in Mansfield. But weβre coming back.
Happy belly! It's full at my favorite thai place in Arlington. It always hit the spot. Definitely recommended.
The food was great.
Best Thai fried rice I've had in my LIFE!!! We've been to dozens of Thai restaurants all throughout the country at all different price points. Sunny Thai restaurant is on top! Staff is friendly, flavor is there, service is fast. Looking forward to coming back when I'm in town. We ordered their Thai ice tea, crab ragoons, chicken satay, spicy edemame, Thai fried rice, beef pepper steak and lastly mango sticky rice... all tasty nothing disappointed.
One of the best Thai restaurants I've eaten at ever! The food is amazing! I've probably had literally a 1/4 of the menu service is good prices are decent. You will find yourself craving this place.
