Family owned restaurant since 2005.We take great pride in providing fresh made to order dishes with great flavors ! We do not have a website feel free to ask us any questions
A hidden gem in downtown South Bend. Took my boys out for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We started with the Chicken Satay, Potstickers, and Pork Egg Rolls... all of which were very flavorful, cooked perfectly, and priced well. My youngest son especially loved the Potstickers. My older son couldn't stop talking about the Satay. The boys shared a chicken fried rice which came out in a timely manner and with good portion size. The boys said it was some of their favorite fried rice ever. I had the Red Curry (Level 5 Spice). It was very good! Good portion, great flavor, and spice level was just how I like it - HOT. The waitress was very friendly, very attentive, and even helped with suggestions and sizing. My only less than positive critiques are that it would be nice to have fountain drinks (with free refills) instead of bottled drink. But pricing was ok. And atmosphere was run down and tired. Paint coming off walls and cheap tables and decor... but frankly I'd take good food and service over fancy decorations any day... but an update to the place and fountain drinks would make this a 5 star place (and I suspect a LOT busier). If you like Thai, don't miss out on Cambodian Thai
I don't try many places but the spicey beef fried rice was F I R E. Literally it was hotter than expected(I'm a wimp). Still delicious and the waitress was awesome! Will eat again when they move to Mishawaka.
Incredible food. The papaya salad is so fresh, and the yellow curry is very flavorful. The Thai iced coffee is also delicious
I went a few days ago and the food was great, but the last time that I went, it was very smelly. I don’t know if they had an issue with the restroom, but all the restaurants smelted like poop.

For decades I have enjoyed their food. Looking forward to their new location.

A solid Thai restaurant. The Pad Thai is wonderful. It has a nice balance of flavor, as does the drunken noodle.
Staff was extremely friendly! They have authentic Khmer food as well off menu! Will be coming back!
Had soup and rice on a cold winter day, and it was perfect. Staff was really nice.
Has the best pad se ew I’ve had ,great people and amazing food
Make sure to get 2 spicy level 3-10 is very spicy🔥
HORRIBLE! !!!
Lovely place to eat, good food and great staff
Love getting the Pad Thai at level 3 spicy.
I've been a fan for years! The quick service and great flavors keep me coming back even after moving away. The green curry never disappoints!
I've never been to Thailand (or Cambodia), but have traveled many, many places overseas and have never had better Thai food. Especially the pad see ewe.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
Nice place to get Thai food. Nothing fancy. About 15 or so tables in a big room. Food is on the spicy side; authentic. Everyone liked their main course - but the soup didn't get great reviews. Inexpensive and good service.
Absolutely love Cambodian Thai! Takeout is usually ready within 15-20 minutes. Employees are always friendly. My go-to is either fried rice or panang curry, always at least a level 5 spicy 🔥 They do a great job of adding spice while maintaining flavor.
The place for Thai food. Been going to them for so many years now, ever since they were in the tiny space just down the street from their current location.
Do not recommend the Tom Yum soup or the Thai ice tea. Broth was very grainy and oily. Thai ice tea tasted like powder mixed with water. Overall left disappointed. Only good item we had was Pad Se ew.
This restaurant used to be really good but lately it's been simply bad, I would say that their curry is still quite good but everything else is greasy and bland.
Walked in during lunch time this beautiful Saturday and stood for about 5-7 minutes waiting to be greeted. That never happened and there were no other customers, not one. We left and had a delicious meal at the neighboring food hall. I guess they did us a favor.
This restaurant is a joke. The food is terrible. We did not eat our food because it was so bad. We have been to different Thai restaurants, but their food does not taste like Thai food at all, and we still paid $51. They are not worth the money they charged us. The reason we came to this restaurant was because of the reviews. I can't believe they have good reviews.
They only had one server doing everything. The food didn't taste like Thai. I won't go back.
As a frequent Thai Diner I found the food incredibly Bland and boring. No color no flavor I had to request additional spices
It's not a fancy place, but the quality of food and its preparation is totally worth a visit! Ingredients are fresh to include the vegetables (trust a lot of places fail at serving fresh ingredients). I've been here many times. Unfortunately, many of the meals they offered in the past are no longer available. Careful with that 1-10 scale on the heat. I'm a 7 max! LOL
My wife and I went here before a show. We waited at least 25 minutes for our starters. Our main dishes came shortly after. The food was excellent but my wife couldn't finish her meal, so I asked the waitress for a box. She said she would bring one over and then went in the back. A few minutes later she came out to give some tables their menus and take drink orders. She looked at us and said she would bring the box right out. Then she continued to take drink orders from a second table. At this point we were running short on time and had to leave with out the remainder of my wife meal. I am very disappointed in the service we received at the end of our meal.
It makes my wife happy 😊
Cambodian Thai is one of our favorite local restaurants. Our food is always cooked to perfection and so delicious. Thanks for sharing your food with the community!
One of my favorite places for Thai food.
Ok. So my whole thing is spicy. It’s so hard to find actually very spicy food. When u spend your whole life eating spicy. For example Franks Red hot sauce .25, Serrano pepper 1, Gjost pepper 5. BW3 or Womgs etc hottest sauce 4. My biggest compliment and satisfaction is if wi eat spicy and makes my nose run, and/or eyes water. Very rare. But finally found this place that actually has a strong spicy kick for those that can stand it. They have rating 1-10. I asked for 50. And actually for first time in forever couldn’t finish my meal. I’d rate it 8.5/9. It’s VERY SPICY and delicious. So this is only for serious spice food eaters. I took 1 chip challenge and rate that maybe 7.5/8. Only ask for this level of your prepared. But If you’re like me always seeking for that ultimate spicyness…u won’t be disappointed just ask for 50 non American spicy!!😊😊😊
Worst Massaman curry I've ever had. It was missing potatoes and had maybe 5 peanuts. Flavor was weak and tofu was under cooked. I just finished running 16 miles for the day so everything is usually delicious when you're famished but this was barely edible.
This family works so hard to fulfill my desire for the best stir fried rice in town.
We've only picked up food.
It's amazing and we always over order so we can eat another meal.
This is the worst restaurant I have ever ordered from! The food was watery and tasteless, yet very expensive. Will never come again!
Food: Ordered two orders of Pad See Ew for my fiance and I with an extra side of peanut sauce. One tofu, one chicken. The plates came out and one plate had obviously more food on it. The noodles and tofu were overcooked, dry, and crunchy. I believe it was intentionally overcooked to hide the fact that some ingredient was expired, either the noodles or the hoisin (or similar) sauce. It tasted clearly expired which was disappointing as I love Pad See Ew. The food came out extremely fast for how overcooked it was which makes me think some portion of it was not made fresh and was simply reheated. The side of peanut sauce was also just Taste of Thai from the jar.
Service: Table was checked twice. We were charged for water. We were not told we would be charged for water. We were not asked if our food was ok after pushing our plates aside and asking for a check.
Atmosphere: lol
If I could rate a 0 I would. Absolutely hideous experience.
Drunken noodles had no flavor, it was just a bowl of grease
Upon entry we were handed menus and told to seat ourselves. The restaurant was clean but paint is chipping off the walls. When we ordered our drinks we were handed bottles, no cups or ice. We were puzzled about the name Cambodia Thai, as we eat a lot of Thai throughout the world. We now think the Cambodia influence may be the high level of sweetness in the dishes. We ordered a range of dishes and all decided the scallion fritters and the spring rolls were the best of the 6 dishes we ordered. The green curry was a strong contender. Tom Ka Kai was very sweet. Unfortunately, the combination of the state of the restaurant and the quality of food will not be calling us to return.
Food was the worst I've had from them in years..portion size for dinner very small had the pai Thai noodles there was no egg, the noodles were not fully cooked, had the coconut soup bits of chicken no tomatoes..egg rolls was soso , it's not fair for the quality and quantity of food restaurants are serving.
Good food but in my experience the service hasn’t been very good. In addition to this, the hours should really be changed because they stop seating at 7:30pm despite having their sign flipped to open until 8pm.
The food was fast and delicious!! It was not too hot, but well seasoned.
I ordered drunken noodles and it tasted like it had peanut butter in it. I called to let them know so I can get my order fixed. They told me the only thing they could do was give a discount. This is very frustrating because I eat here often. Save your money folks and go somewhere else.
Best drunken noodles. Ask for extra crispy
Been going here for years (even since the old location) and I’m not sure what changed but the food is not what it used to be :( I go every once and a while in hopes that it will be like I remember but I’ve found myself disappointed the past many times I’ve visited. Took two bites of my food today and the rice noodles basically have the texture of mashed potatoes. Sad I spent money on something that’s just going in the trash :/ Hoping they find what they once had!
Food is tasteless.
We have been here several times. The food was not as good as usual this time. The drunken noodles were pasty and the pad thai was bland. Not sure why the quality has dropped. It was not terrible but not great either. We'll try them again but a bit disappointing today.
Food was amazing. Service was okay u could tell the server didn't want to be there. Could use a interior upgrade. Was not super busy, food came out fast and very hot. I am usually not one for this type of food but was amazed. Will definitely in in area be back. And one down fall is all drinks ad bottled and no refills.

I go here almost every week! I have been to several Thai restaurants and this is my favorite. My two favorite dishes are the Pad Se Ew and Panaang Curry, however, I have yet to order something that I have not been a fan of. Highly recommend this place.
This place has a chokehold on me. The curry was flavorful and the pot stickers were so tasty. I cannot get enough of the food. The pad Thai was great. If you ever get a chance go here.
The food was fresh and so flavorful
Amazing food and friendly service!
The food I had was a bit bland, but it was at least spicy. Kind of skimped on the actual tofu and ingredients.
Called today and they said they do not deliver.
Thought I’d try it. This isn’t authentic Thai food. Ive had better trust me. Dont try this if I were you.
Bad service, the waitress was arrogant. Charged more tips than I gave.
Bad food, never had such unauthentic Thai or Cambodian food.
It is extremely not recommended to come here. If you think what I said is wrong, it depends on the person. I am very polite to my server and I think my evaluation is very fair. As one of the few Southeast Asian dishes in this city, I feel extremely disappointment.
Their Tom Yum soup is delicious
Excellent food and spice level was perfect
Best Thai food in Indiana 😍😍
I've needed to write this for far too long!
Cambodian Thai is hands down the best Thai food my husband and I have ever had. The Panang Curry is a class all on it's own. We feel like family when we walk in and despite our efforts, never feel satisfied when trying new Thai places when we travel.
10/10 recommend
I normally never give 5 stars for the simple fact most place always have room to improve.. just like people.
Im simple when it comes to Thai, Cambodian, Vietnamese, Korean etc style food.. If the chef makes it like they're cooking for their families, and not a bunch of silly Americans they win..
To many places in the Midwest curtail food to the American non-spicy palette..
This place hits a home run..
Papaya salad Khemr style was 💰..
Delicious food! Service is very friendly and good.
That was the highest price I’ve ever paid for bowl of pho and this was neither a large bowl (what I’m used to) or traditional pho. It was edible but I wouldn’t order it again for any price but especially not for that price.
The service was acceptable.
If you’re interested in traditional pho with the plate of basil, sprouts, and pepper slices this isn’t the place. If you’re looking for the place that has hoisin, chili paste, and sriracha you’ll need to look elsewhere. If you want rare steak pho, not here either.
Maybe after I heal from the financial damage of soup at steak prices I’ll check out their other options but it isn’t likely to happen for a while (if ever).
The place was clean and comfortable enough.
I would have preferred to see fewer plastic bottles used for beverages. A single R/O system would be plenty to accommodate drinking water and if used for cooking would improve that too.
My biggest issue is the price they charged for a single bowl of soup. Just the soup.
Good food, service was a little weird. We were brought our food but I had to go to the counter after 75 minutes where they asked me if I was ready to pay. I expected the bill to be brought to the table. Interior is basic, food value but was decent.
Excellent food with modest prices. Every item on the menu is delicious.
Panang wasn't as good as usual. Prices increased, what place hasn't? $47 for two dinners and two appetizers. Used to be my favorite place downtown South Bend. Having second thoughts.
I've loved Cambodian Thai for years, starting in my undergrad days, so it definitely has a touch of nostalgia for me. I haven't been back in years and my hopes were high for a delicious meal reminiscent of my youth-- and for the most part, my expectations were met!
I went with a party of 10 people and we were quickly seated. The service was excellent-- our waiter was young and seemed to be the only server but moved as fast as she could and was very attentive. As other reviews have mentioned, due to the short staff the service can be slow, so be prepared to have a leisurely meal. The atmosphere isn't the nicest, but the best meals can come from the humblest places. There's chipped paint and very basic table settings. I am happy to report THEY ARE USING REAL CHINA!! No more of the styrofoam and paper plates so reviled in the recent reviews!
We started off with spring rolls, papaya salad, and chive dumplings. Al were fresh and delicious. My favorite was the papaya salad, very refreshing. I used to LOVE the chive dumplings in undergrad, but unfortunately the flavor was a bit lacking.
The entrees come with a spice level from 1-10. My party ordered anywhere in the range from 1 to 9! For the most part, the ratings rang true, although the lone brave soul who opted for 9 reported it was not that spicy (perhaps putting on a brave face). I had the basil fried rice with tofu rates at 7, another nostalgic meal. Again, not quite as flavorful as memory served, but still delicious.
As a bonus, the waitress let us know the restaurant is entirely family run. Her mom and dad own the place, and her Cambodian mom adapted the Thai recipes from ones she learned in a refugee camp. Her brothers found out the staff. Great story and great to see a South Bend treasure (hopefully) thriving.
Overall, great food, great service, will always come back!
This review is LONG overdue. I frequented this spot in South Bend for 5 years, then moved to Chicago and still haven’t found a Thai place that compares.
Cambodian Thai has the best drunken noodles in the game. I typically get it with tofu, but the beef is good too.
Another recommendation is Cambodian spring rolls (I get mine with tofu instead of shrimp). They always taste fresh and the sauce that comes with it is good!
I also love their take on Tum Yum soup.
All in all, I love this place and stop by any time I’m in South Bend. I recommend calling your order in and doing pick up. During the pandemic, we did pick up pretty often in hopes they would be able to remain open. This is a great family owned business — give them a try!
The food is fantastic. The service used to be 5 stars, but it’s lowered a bit lately.
Food is great and reasonably priced!
Recap: Been going there for five years and the food is still amazing.
Cambodian Thai is my favorite restaurant in South Bend. I left South Bend 5 years ago and still wake up in a sticky mess thinking about it every so often. Have some guts and get the Spice level 10 on your Pad Thai. I hope some day to make the pilgrimage back here.
Food is excellent! My favorite: drunken noodles with beef (plus broccoli), heat level 5. Chicken satay with peanut sauce is also excellent.
Since reopening their dining room after covid, the restaurant uses only disposable plastic ware, to-go containers, and bottled drinks in the dining room. I miss the old dining experience, but the food is still excellent!
Food here is always great, I especially love the Drunken Chicken and the Thai iced coffee but everything I have eaten here has been good. I guess that's as good an endorsement as any.
Great place too salty with some dishes but gets a lot of things just right.
Worth it to be someone's childhood comfort food
Amazing food! Definitely recommend!
Excellent food!!!!
Good food in a more casual setting. Looking forward to going back.
yummy very good the best resteraunt food very very fresh very good will always eat here not much money way better then the noodle company
Once you stomach the mumbling and unmotivated American waitress and eating from tiny plastic spoons and forks and a bit undersized portions the red and green curry was ok. Not sure if I would again.....
The food was tasty and ample portions were served to us. I thought the pricing was reasonable The service was very pleasant. This restaurant has more of a fast food like atmosphere. Your food is served in styrofoam containers with plastic ware, which is OK, but, I was looking more for a dine in restaurant experience.
Great food at a great price! We regularly order take out from here and are always impressed.
I really like this restaurant, their food, and the people that run it. I've been coming here for years and theyre still dedicated to the service and great food as always. I think they're shooting themselves in the foot by still serving everything in a take out containers or bottles but they also seem short staffed so I understand they have to make a decision. Still dine in is available it just isnt quite a sit down restaurant experience yet.
They have some of the best tasting food and great service!
The chicken pot stickers were delicious!
Delicious food, very reasonable prices, and friendly staff. Parking could be an issue, so you may have to circle the block a few times before you get a spot (unless you park down the street somewhere and walk). Check this place out if you’re in the area!
I love this little gem! Fantastic and delicious food at a great price! Fast and friendly service; very helpful to accommodate food allergies! Highly recommend!
Best Thai food I’ve had in the US!
Love the egg rolls
Really has gone downhill. Menu is much smaller with smaller portions. Only serve with disposable plastic containers and drinks which creates a lot of unnecessary waste. Really unfortunate.
Good good food! Nice place and people.
First time visiting
This is the best Thai restaurant in the area: they’ve been open for many years and have amazing food. My favorite is the drunken noodles.
I got the three spoons noodles here. They told me three spoons was too hot. I told my waiter, "Don't tell me what is too hot for me." They gave me the three spoons. They were right. I was wrong.
Better than I thought it will be. Fresh and delicious. Everything is served on disposable paper/utensils.
Their combination fried rice is a must try🔥😍
In case you are wondering, mild is 🔥
LOL! DELICIOUS NONE THE LESS!
Delicious every time!
Great food. Clean space and really efficient staff.
Dat red curry....mmmmmmm
Dat Panang curry....mmmmmm
This was the second worse Asian food I have ever eaten. Not sure what everyone else is eating that is good but the Peppers & Garlic was awful. Everything is served in plastic containers, the food was overcooked and had no taste. A big yuck.
And it is expensive for what it was too boot.
It is not as good as five years ago but the different curries are still good. Avoid pad thai by all means
Friendkt custimer service. Pad thai was delicious
Love their chicken fried dumplings/popstickers
Very nice people. Mom, Pop & Daughter. Yummy cashew chicken and custom 'spice it up'... Definitely returning
Used to be a favorite of ours. Recently the dine-in experience is not what it used to be. The service and food is still good, but served with disposable dishes/silverware/everything. The portion sizes are smaller, and the menu has been slimmed down. Cue sad trombone.
Excellent food! This is a small family business with people that take care and always make sure your food is right and hot. If you're looking for good thai food go here. I've never been disappointed with this place.
Great food and quick service make this restaurant a must-visit! Everything tasted great, and my shrimp and pineapple curry was especially good
Very good I got the soup spicy and sour They had no air conditioning it was on the hot day
Bleh. Pad Thai made me wanna cry. :< Very disappointed.
Worst Thai food EVER!!!!
We stop by during the road trip. We order coconut soup, basil fried rice, papaya salad, and Cambodia spring roll; the food is so yummy and made with fresh ingredients. The spicy level is just right and very satisfying for people who love spicy like us.
I had egg roll they could be bigger
Amazing pad Thai! Be careful with the spicyness. I got an 8, and the outer parts of my lips are currently burning while I write this! Their dining area is fairly simple. I think they’re currently more geared towards delivery/takeout. Great food though!
One of my "musts" when in South Bend! Great selection and quality. I usually get Drunken Noodle or Pad Thai Chicken.
The somtham (green papaya salad) was delicious, but if you want it to be traditionally Thai, you have to ask for it. The chef will make it exactly the way you want it, including as spicy (or not) as you request. Unfortunately, no savory sticky rice to go with it. I knocked off one star for the overall experience because during my visit, all meals were served in takeout containers with plastic cutlery. That might have been a temporary situation, but I hate all that landfill waste.
Always ordered takeout, speedy and accurate service. Food is delicious too.
Didn't know what to get so I just got the chicken pad thai and I'm still thinking about it two days later.
Note: probably not a good idea for anyone with a peanut allergy
Just go. Awesome coconut soup
They are now open for dining in. The service is still minimal, but that's welcomed. It was nice to sit, eat, and relax without being rushed. The food tastes great and is served in appropriate portions, not too big or too small. The place was clean and well air conditioned.
Literally the best. I had the yellow curry and it was so flavorful. I come every time I'm in South Bend.
Food quality has went down. This place is still acting like it's day one of covid. To go plates only, ext.
Pad se ew was enjoyable, but a little too salty and a little too sweet.
Smallish, family-owned biz, in the heart of downtown South Bend. Very tasty Coconut Chicken Soup! Crab Rangoons and Pad Thai noodles were quite delicious, too! Prices were very reasonable for Thai food, & the portions were ENORMOUS!
I ordered take out late, and they very kindly stayed open later to let me get there for it! Nice peeps - I almost didn't mind they'd forgotten my Thai Iced Tea! I will go back for lunch, tho!
I give 4-stars, but if the food is as good & with such gi-normous portions the next time I go, I'm bumping it up to a 5! Bring your appetite, and a smile, this place aims to please, & does it well!
Menu is available online, but I've added it here! And their pix of that delicious coconut chix soup, too!
The food was absolutely delicious and I forgot to save an itemized receipt for travel reimbursement, and the server went through the trouble weeks later to look up our meal and email the receipt to me. A+ food and service.
Muy buena comida me encantó y precio muy económico. El lugar no es lujoso pero la comida muy deliciosa
This place is so delicious.
There is just something so satisfying about Thai food. It's got spice and flavor that just makes you feel so good inside. Here, it's always quick and made great. I love the Panang Curry. With customizable spice levels, anyone can enjoy the curry at a level that won't set your mouth on fire. Overall, it's a great place to get a fairly priced meal.
Service was fine, everyone seemed nice. Pad se ew was just okay. Vegetarian pot stickers were very plain, the sauce they were paired w was decent. The panang curry was a 9/10 for me. I probably wouldn't come back to dine in, but I'm glad i know where to get my panang fix when I'm in this part of Michigan 😊
This cuisine is superb and the service is even better. Sonita is a wonderful manager and lovely face to see every time I dine in. I'm sure the restaurant runs so smoothly because of her. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.
