Interior decor probably hasn't been updated much in almost 20 years from the looks of it, but that just adds to the charm. You feel like you're dining at some old relative's house. Tables and seating are comfortable and nicely arranged. Overall, cozy/homey feel.
Very quiet dining. All the patrons seem to follow this unspoken (-ha!) rule. It's nice to eat in peace for once!
The staff is very respectful and polite. They always make sure to check up on you within reasonable intervals. Also quite responsive.
The food is an extremely good value for the price, I believe. Very well prepared, tasty, and smells delicious. Portions are quite filling.
I'll definitely be paying another visit!
As a Thai Siam's house is the top of my favorite restaurant in Chicago.Siam's Thai did not disappoint in delivering an authentic and delicious dinner experience. I ordered Som Tam Korat and Shrimp paste fried rice. Foods were fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authenticThai foods. 10/10 Love it!!!!
Buffet food better than I expected. Egg rolls were delicious as was the pad thai noodles and basil chicken. The server had a bit of an attitude when I walked in but she seemed at ease later on and was nicer to other patrons.
Update (12/19) I came in and they opened up several minutes later. Their buffet wasn't going to be ready in 20 mins. Very unacceptable
This place needs to close or needs a hard look at themselves. Ordered some food to go. The prices are high for the area and the portions are small. That's fine, as long as the quality is there, but it's not. The bigger issue is getting sick from the food. I should have known better - when I walked in the place was dead (not a big red flag) but the floors were completely sticky (big red flag) the tables seemed dirty and overall, the place just didn't look clean. Went into the bathroom and, according to Anthony Bourdain, you judge a restaurant by how they treat their bathroom: running toilet, cheap soap, and paper towels not even loaded into the dispenser. Overall, just a bad impression and super bad experience with the food. Won't be going back.
To all those that knew Siam House before March 2023, this place is no longer under the same owner and cook. You will be very disappointed if you return here. It has become a Thai restaurant that caters to non-Thais, much like almost every other Thai restaurant save a few in Uptown Chicago. No more sua rong hai, the jeaw is like water..
I believe the old cook’s son has a place in Elgin now, I’ll update when I find out.
Worst restaurant ever. Worst quality ever. Extremely horrible ingredients. Complete waste. Not professional. Should not be in the market. Terrible restaurant layout. Bathroom is too close to the food. not worth it. Do not recommend.
Says open on Google on Sundays. Can't online order. Phone number says no longer in service when calling. Also listed website doesn't exist.

Amazing thai food buffet so good and only 20 dollars all you can eat. Spicy thai basil chicken was the winner!
The food is not as good as the reviews say. Don't order their soup, it's a minefield. The price and taste are totally different from what you expect. Don't recommend this restaurant.
I just moved here from out of state and I have been looking for a new local Thai place and this is it. Only had the chance to try a couple of items but everything has been authentic and delicious.
Almost a 2 dollar convince fee to come pick up an order! I refuse to buy or revisit any establishment who charges a convince fee again. Whats convenient about me driving to pick up my order in this county that charges tax after for gas. I perfer you raise your prices or fight back against these crooked politicians in cook county raising taxes. It may seem trivial to Many, 2 dollars, but that the point this state county city nickels and dimes us and we just hum along

Fried rice was with uncooked rice... and service need to be greatly improved. There was only one person service both the dinner clients and takeouts..
Ordered delivery around 7:25pm on a Tuesday night and had an estimated delivery time of 8:15pm after numerous delays in delivery time (up until 8:50pm, and they close at 9pm) I decided to cancel my order. A call or some sort of communication would have been appreciated.
I haven’t been to this place in a while but quality has really gone down. The service was not the best and the waiter didn’t even give us water and had us wait to take our order because they had a few phone orders come in at the same time. We ordered the chicken lard nar and it was pasty and sticky…almost like it was left over and they just added some more sauce and reheated. It was goooy and sticky. The chicken fried rice was ok. The chicken satay peanut sauce had a clumpy and oily consistency. The catfish salad already had the sauce on it when they used to leave it on the side. They drenched the salad so it was way too much sauce. The Thai iced coffee and tea tasted the same as before. The worst was the lard nhar that really left an icky feeling in my mouth.
Delicious thai food, friendly staff, family owned establishment and great relaxing atmosphere.
Had Thai Boat Noodle Soup and pad see ew. Great flavor of food and really nice service.
The new owners have missed the boat. This is not even close to the original Thai food that was served. Prices are exorbitant. I would choose real Thai, not this.
As a longtime customer of 25+ years here, I feel deceived and disrespected by old reheated leftover food. I really hope they will start making everything new each day. I went here today and they again brought out old food for me and it wasn't even buffet!
--- this is my old review, with the old owners ---
Hands down the best Thai restaurant in all of Chicagoland. I love how fresh and new each dish is prepared every single time here; no variance in consistency, ever! And so deliciously authentic! Some Thai places tend to go overboard with sugar, but not here! This is a rare gem, which is why I've been coming here for many years. A nice bonus for those with sensitivities to weird food chemicals: there are none here! So the interior may not shine.. but who cares when the food is this great?
Still the best Thai food :) enjoyed my lunch buffet
Great Thai basil chicken! Highly recommended.
We got the Massaman Curry and Pineapple Curry. We asked for no fish sauce and they were able to do so. So good! I am grateful we ate here.
อาหารรสชาติเป็นไทยมาก และร้านเป็นกันเอง
Delicious thai food, friendly staff, family owned establishment and great relaxing atmosphere. There is even a little snack shop located inside. Chicken pad thai, Hawaiian fried rice and thai meatballs were excellent.
The food was fresh and delicious
I came in late. A few to go orders.
The pork sticks I ordered were excellent. Then the pad se ew I had wasn’t to bad. If you see my other reviews, I love Asian food. I’ll eat here again while I am in Chicago. The gentleman working the kitchen and front of the house was very friendly and courteous. No complaints here.
Our first time here, and we are planning on going back already. The lady was very friendly and nice and the food was very tasty and fresh. We had the best crab Rangoon, pad Thai , drunken noodles, and another noodle dish.
Best Thai food around! Been looking for a good place in the area after some of my favorites in neighboring suburbs quality and portion has gone down over the years. So glad I found this place!
I haven't been to this restaurant in a while. My husband and I used to come here even before the renovations and felt like it's our secret hole-in-wall place Thai restaurant where the food tastes yummy and authentic. When we arrived today the place looked more colorful, just a happier vibe. The lighting is even better as a couple months ago, the lighting was kinda darkish. There were also Thai dried goods and snacks displayed on the front. The server was a friendly lady and I asked her if the owner changed. She smilingly said yes and my first thought was whether the food still tasted good. My fears were unfounded. We ordered our old favorites and found to our relief that the taste is still delicious 😋 though the presentation is different. Giving it a 5 star as the restaurant decor feels more cheerful, the service was friendly and more importantly the food is still great and authentic tasting!
Service is friendly and outgoing and on point.
Good food
Apart from the excellent and mouth watering food, the staff were very accomodating. We came in hungry, we went out very full ☺️😊
Been looking for a delicious Thai restaurant since our favorites closed down. And we found it... the food is hands down the best Ive had. Service is friendly and outgoing and on point. The food is fresh and delicious and made right. Prices are great as well they have a awesome buffet for lunch Mon to Fri till 3 lots of options for everyone.
finally found my new favorite Thai spot!!! Incredible and authentic food, super friendly and kind staff/owner, and atmosphere is very clean and relaxed!! I can’t recommend this place enough and can’t wait to be back! They also have a fresh and delicious lunch buffet which was super fulfilling!
Buffet with limited food, better off dining in or take out much cheaper
I am not sure what I expected , I guess their advertising authentic thai food
I went in for a buffet and was quite disappointed, 2 appetizers and only 6 dishes to choose from, but it would have been ok if the food was on point, not spicy, not really flavorsom, fried rice was very bland, basil fried ground chicken was dry, the only thing that quite pleasing was red curry and sauteed veggies very good
They must of changed ownership or something. Food isn’t the same. I miss the old style! So sad I’ve been coming here since high school too!
Good & tasty
Went there for lunch buffet. Dishes in every tray in the buffet area were almost empty. When asked if they would be filled, the server said yes. Waited for 30 mins but still not filled. We felt being lied to and will not come back.
Good food.

I used to go here all the time. Things have changed. THE FOODS SUCKS after they changed the owner and chef. Don't waste your money!
Good delicious food. Made without fish sauce and egg on request.
Curry, rice and noodle were all good
It's a hidden gem until they change ownership. The quality and taste of the food are not as great as before. We decided to give it a try and we left disappointed. The food was not on par to what it was before. The only food that tasted similar was the basil chicken, but the plating and presentation are quite nice. Their Thai ice tea and ice coffee is good too.
Ordered carry out - two entrees and soup for $41. The shrimp in the soup smelled south of fresh. I ordered panang curry with crispy (fried) tofu.... received soft tofu. One entree was ridiculously hot (a good thing) and the other was luke warm. Was told it would be ready in 30 minutes....took them 50 minutes. I'm out.
Lunch buffet here is the best authentic Thai I never had only $12.95 recommended
Great pad Thai and awesome service had great time!
Taste pretty good, I love it
Love foods here taste authentic and good service. Recommend
They serve really good curry!!
great food The taste is as good as eating in Thailand.
If you like good and authentic Thai food then keep looking. This place is awful. It used to be good but they recently changed ownership and chefs. They charge top dollar and the food sucks. What a shame.
The ambiance at this restaurant is lovely, and the food is always delicious. Service is also excellent. Highly recommend it.
Great authentic Thai food.
Nice place
Curdled coconut curry and really below avg food.
Great food, we always do takeout since this place is rather small. Pad Thai and Pad See Ew are the best. Seafood noodles deluxe is also highly recommended
This place has the best authentic Thai food! Since Covid a lot of things have changed but the quality of the food remains top notch. The portion sizes are decent and the service is slow especially on the weekends when there is only 1 server to take care of all the tables, but he is so nice and you can tell he is working really hard and stressed out. I feel so bad for him when we go to pick up food. That’s the other thing as well, if you are ordering for pick up prepare to have your quoted time for pick up 20-45 mins later than told. A lot of people order or dine in on the weekends and there’s 2 maybe 3 total staff. But be patient because it’s worth it. While it’s not exactly a hole in the wall place, it’s not super fancy either. A solid place for authentic Thai food.
Absolutely delicious food, with excellent portions. The server was super nice and a total sweetheart. Will definitely come here again.
I love the curries and noodle dishes from here. The satay and peanut sauce is one of the best. We had the tom yum soup with lunch and I will order it if I'm ever feeling under the weather - great spice and delicious. Attentive service too. Lucky we live nearby.
Great pad thai and drunken noodles!
Ambiance was cozy, romantic, and quaint.
So delicious! Very fast too. Food was flavorful and at medium heat, the Panang was perfect! Will return when we travel to Niles.
Food is great. In fact I think at least 4 stars. However the service is horrible. Scary. Rude staff. Unprofessional. And if anything - yelling and disrespectful staff (bald guy).
Amazing. Great staff friendly fun. Good was amazing. It gets a 4 only because in Novi Michigan there is the ultimate Thai place and that one gets the 5. But seriously if you like Thai you won't be disappointed.
Always delicious. My favorite Thai restaurant.
Great food and very authentic
Sorry...nothing special here.
I was generous giving 2 stars instead of 1. This is the first and last time I will order from here.
I paid roughly $24....for very bland,
Flavorless food. I specifically requested med. Spicy, extra cashews, extra onion on my Cashew Chicken.
There were extra cashews, but hardly any onions..which would have added somewhat to having any flavor. Besides that, the entire dish was very bland! And we are talking about Thai food people.An. So disappointed. This was take out, and I'm no where close to the restaurant to make a return.
flavorless
This place is awesome and authentically Thai-- I've been here probably 50 times and they never disappoint with food nor customer service. If you like it spicy-- come here for sure. Start with medium though because they don't kid around with the spicy! The curry fried rice and the pad kea mow are both excellent-- it's so good that we've been bad at trying other stuff on the menu! Great prices for what you get, and they give you plenty of food with take out. Modest/plain dining room, but don't let the looks fool you!
I was so so impressed by the quality of this food!
Amazon Thai food
I’m a Thai food junkie (I eat it at least once a week). I’ve lived by Siams for years, but was too afraid to cheat on my other favorite until the other day when Siams was the only option open. AMAZING ordered chicken fried rice (had ground chicken in it) and the basil chicken. Will be ordering again and again.
One of the most authentic Thai places I've eaten at. Place has been updated and looks better. Need to hire more servers but the service was still decent given the fact everyone seems to have trouble hiring. Love the Pork Pad Thai but the Veggie Thai Spring Rolls aren't good drowned in the sauce.
Nice spice. Some dishes Salty for my taste but I'm sure they can modify on request. Noisy parrots next door.
Delicious vegetable fried rice with tofu.
Orders are frequently late with wait times 35-40 minutes from time of phone in.
Amazing Thai food! Try grilled calamari, dried beef, shrimp pad thai. Egg rolls are fine too. Red garlic sauce is a bomb! Tomka seafood soup is amazing!
Best Thai food in suburbia.
Been visiting here for over 20 years.
The service could be improved, but even with that substandard service, this place earns 5 stars, solely on the food
Steak was cooked perfectly and the sauce was bursting with flavor. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
I was in the mood for Thai and decided to stop by. Great decision, the food is absolutely awesome, they do have dine in available. Would definitely come back, just a little on the pricier side. I ordered a basil chicken and it was phenomenal.
Decent Thai food. Generous portions for reasonable price.
We used to enjoy all their food. Used to be our favorite Thai restaurant and take out. It is very Unfortunately we think their quality has deteriorated over the years. Depending on the days your ordered, the Pad Thai were not consistent. So were the calamari. They were not fresh or substantial. We hope to see some improvemets. Thai food is still our favorite.
Tofu pad Thai was really good!!
The best Thai food!
Great and authentic Thai food. We live in Thailand and were visiting Chicago. My kids were craving Thai food since they had not been home in months and they were not disappointed. I would recommend to anyone who would like great authentic Thai food.
Place has been renovated recently the food is absolutely delicious, the staff are friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the buffet is cheaper if you go there for lunch overall we love this place I have visited there for the past 20 years and has never disappointed me.
By far the best Thai restaurant in the area and perhaps all of suburban and metropolitan Chicago. We've been going here for about 25 years now. Not as cheap as it once was, but still great tasting and high quality food for the price you pay. Highly recommended. All their appetizers are top notch as well.
Doesn't taste like Thai food at all. I love thai food but this restaurant is probably the worse thai restaurant I ordered from.
My coworkers and I are here every week because its so good and the buffet is such a value. We've also gotten catering from them twice now and they provided all the items from the lunch buffet in large quantities.
Check them out!
Pretty good
Spicy basil chicken is fantastic. Clean place. Nice people.
Best Thai food ever
I used to go here all the time several years ago. Things have changed. The people there are very nice, but the two dishes we got were the worst Thai we ever got anywhere. I got Pad Khe Mao. The noodles were total mush. The veggies were a strange combination and totally raw. I asked for medium spicy and got totally bland. The other dish was another that is tough to screw up- Woon Sen Pad Thai. It was unrecognizable and included big chunks of raw vegetables and nothing to cut the hunks with. Loaded with cauliflower! The carrots were huge hunks, a full carrot cut in half. I like cauliflower but it was awful in this dish. I will never go back here. The prices were very high. I'll stick to Mannee Thai or any number of places that are consistently great, authentic and a far better value.
This is my top one Thai restaurant everything taste delicious and fresh I highly recommended
So authentic
Been going here for over 20years food is amazing !
Absolutely delicious! Reasonable pricing, good atmosphere. Loved it!
Excellent
Good food, tasty and inexpensive
Atmosphere is very welcoming. Oh yes food was great. Worth coming back!
Food was goods. Papaya salad with field crabs is delicious, pad thai with tofu is the best "wife approved"
Small quaint place with good food options. Very limited for vegans though
Interior decor probably hasn't been updated much in almost 20 years from the looks of it, but that just adds to the charm. You feel like you're dining at some old relative's house. Tables and seating are comfortable and nicely arranged. Overall, cozy/homey feel.

The food is an extremely good value for the price, I believe. Very well prepared, tasty, and smells delicious. Portions are quite filling.
I'll definitely be paying another visit!
Great cozy place with buffet with good price and food is good for variety of the taste.
Nice & spicy. Liked it.
Best authentic Thai food in Chicago area. Been dining here for 30 years.
Good food! Excellent
Great food
The best Thai restaurant in my neighborhood. I should know because I came from Thailand. If you want authentic Thai food, you should go there, but if you want Americanized Thai food, please go elsewhere. I’m surprised that it usually isn’t that busy there.
If you want authentic Thai food, this is as good as actually going to Thailand. I've been to Thailand twice now, and every time I eat here, it feels like I'm back in Bangkok or Chang Mai
ONE of the best lunch buffets around. Try the Pad Thai or Basil Chicken. Their Red Curry is also tasty.
DELIVERS WITH POSTMATES! AMAZING EXPERIENCE. MUST TRY. A Michelin Star is in order!
The best Thai restaurant. Even better than the food we had in Bangkok
The food here is incredibly authentic. They have a Thai menu and American menu. If you want a true taste of Thailand ask for the Thai menu. It will require some translation but it is worth it. The flavors are bold and spicy, nothing like the Americanized versions of Thai food. A true sign, the only non-thai person was me.
Best lunch buffet deal
Went for lunch . Basil chicken is very good as well as price . I didn’t expect much decor for 10.99 lunch so who cares what it looks like as long as it’s good food ! I recommend .
Been there several times. Love all their food. My favorite is the spring rolls
Really great place for Thai food in Niles, a must try.
I was drawn in by the promise of a buffet, but since I came in on Saturday that wasn't an option. Not gonna lie I was a little deflated.
I got a menu and saw all the traditional Thai offerings and decided on the pad see ew with tofu. Delicious.
Absolutely put the wind back in my sails. The food was terrific. The decor is a little tragic but if you're into vaporwave it might tickle you.
I love their lunch buffet.
Food is out of this world. I can't even begin to tell you how surprised I am to find such a gem in Niles of all places. Their chicken basil is to die. Everything I had there was very good. Went there over lunch for pick up and the place was packed. Granted, interior is dated and appears a bit worn out, but again, food is top notch.
Authentic and deiicious!!
If you like spicy Thai this is where to get it.
Great taste, big portion, reasonable price in a simple dinnkng area settings. Ease of parking.
Food very good parking lot ok very friendly
Good food good service a little place is dated but doesn’t matter
My favorite Thai food in the Chicago area. The Tom Yum soup and basil chicken are outstanding.
Delicious food. My favorite is the Tom Kha soup. To be honest the place is kind of run down so it might not be good if you're looking for some place fancy. But if your looking for awesome Thai food give Siam House a try.
Everything that I tried was disgustingly delicious :)
