We are Elephant District, serving Bangkok Style Street Food in the heart of Brooklyn’s world famous DUMBO District.
What a beautiful place full of bright colors and flavors! You can really feel the care and artistry in the food and cocktails. While everything we ordered was excellent, the desserts were an absolute standout. Kay was so kind to explain how she makes each one by hand, the ingredients and the molds she uses. So happy to have this cute and authentic little Thai place in the neighborhood and honestly, it's as good as Suthr, but without the huge line). We also loved the AI-generated elephant art. The only downside was a front door that would not stay closed, bringing blasts of frigid air inside every few minutes. I hope this will be fixed soon.
Biggest thank you to K! She was very helpful with giving us tips on the what to order. She also checked on us consistently and is very kind. All the deserts were delicious it’s hard to choose a favorite one. Definitely mango crepe and mango sticky rice were the most delicious but don’t skip out on the ELEPHANT LAY BACK วุ้นมะพร้าว !!! It’s delicious! DUMBO DUMPLING And Crispy Calamari were also very tasty and full of flavor. Wish we had ordered more food but we couldn’t fit anymore. Can’t wait to come back to try more
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced—tangy, savory, and slightly sweet. The noodles were cooked just right, and the chicken was tender and flavorful. It was truly a delightful meal.
For dessert, the coconut jelly served in the shape of an adorable elephant stole the show! Not only was it visually stunning, but the creamy, rich coconut flavor was absolutely fantastic.
This restaurant delivers exceptional flavors with gorgeous presentation. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Thai cuisine with a modern twist!
Beautiful restaurant with delicious food! The waitress was very kind, assisting us with any questions we had and even helped us take pictures. My friend got the drunken noodles and I got the pork belly with egg- both were delicious. Fast service as well! Presentation was beautiful.
An absolute gem close to Brooklyn Bridge! My wife and I had an unforgettable dining experience here. The fried branzino with herb sauce and the soft-shell crab in curry were bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. We finished with the mango sticky rice, which was the perfect sweet ending. The food was outstanding, and the service was exceptional - our waitress was attentive and warm. It was our first time, but it certainly won’t be our last. Highly recommend this spot for amazing Thai cuisine!
Spent a lovely lunchtime here. Amazing food and wonderful service!
Duck Khao Soi was delicious.
The food here was so good. Delicious khao soi and amazing crispy pork with greens. And the northern Thai sausage is just one of the most delicious things in the world.
Oh, and the service was lovely. If I was here longer I’d go back again and again.
The food is absolutely phenomenal and the flavors will make your taste buds dance. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is amazing. The entire vibe of this place is perfect, definitely a diamond in DUMBO. A new favorite and a must try if you're in the area. I 1,000% recommend the Som Tum Thai.
The food here is just phenomenal. We had the Brooklyn Bridge pad Thai, which was moreish, delicious, and perfectly balanced. The noodle texture was fabulously chewy. The fried whole Branzino was also refreshingly crispy, with a great blend of sour / tart, spicy, and umami flavors in the fish-sauce-based chili it came with.
This place is Getting slept on, but surely not for long! Come here with a bunch of friends and order everything.
Had an incredible meal at Elephant District in Brooklyn! Everything we ordered was packed with bold flavors and cooked to perfection. The Curry Branzino was a standout—tender, flaky fish in a rich, aromatic curry that was perfectly balanced. The Spicy Shrimp had just the right amount of heat, and the Basil Noodles were a comforting, flavorful dish that we couldn’t get enough of.
We also started with the Moo Ping, and it was fantastic—juicy, well-marinated, and grilled to perfection. Every bite was a treat!
The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, and the service was warm and attentive. If you love Thai food, this spot is a must-visit. Already looking forward to my next meal here!
Delicious food
Very nice atmosphere. The Tom Yum soup was fantastic!
Love it!
We tried the noddles, wings, the Tom yum soup and the the krapow moo krob. We love them.
Definitely coming back!
My husband and I came in for lunch. Wow, food was delicious! What a beautiful restaurant, definitely reminded me of being in Thailand.
Food was great! Definitely won't go wrong with the food here! We can't wait to come back to enjoy the rest of the menu!!
This restaurant was amazing! All the food was delicious but especially the Thai crepe we had for dessert :)
Amazing food and excellent service. Waitress - K
Great service, great food, and great drinks! Definitely will be back 🙌🏿

The food was very delicious. Our server, Kay, was super sweet! Will definitely be trying again and I 100% recommend 🙏.
Food was delicious. Pretty quick service
Loved dining at Elephant District! We were warmly welcomed by the kind and accommodating staff. Not only was the food delicious, the presentation was thoughtful and artistic. The fascinating elephant themed art tied the entire experience together. Thank you Elephant District! See you next time :)
My bf and I were just exploring and roaming in the Dumbo, Brooklyn area in cold weather.. where we came across this Thai Restaurant and wanted to just go in to have some soup and this was one of the best spontaneously restaurants we picked! It’s very new! Been opened for 4 or 5 months only! It’s a beautiful, vibrant and cozy Thai place! The staff were super friendly! Very neat and clean! Gorgeous decorations! Loved the elephants everywhere! Kay was great throughout our lunch with all the hospitality and customer service!
— We ordered Tom yum and Tom kha soups with Spring rolls and was super delicious!! I usually do not order Tom Kha but it was really great!! Not spicy at all! But super flavorful!
— We ordered take out but haven’t tried yet!
This is a must place to go if you’re in this area and a Thai food lover like me!!
Thank you Kay!!! ☺️☺️
Beautiful restaurant with delicious food! The waitress was very kind, assisting us with any questions we had and even helped us take pictures. My friend got the drunken noodles and I got the pork belly with egg- both were delicious. Fast service as well! Presentation was beautiful.
Very good and spicy food
Didn’t really know what to expect, big Ai elephants on the wall etc but the food is spectacular - duck noodles we loved but the whole fried fish… absolutely incredible. The flavor was just so perfect - will absolutely return
Enjoyed the coconut curry flavor in the Khao Soi Ped and the service. Thank you, Kay for the recommendations that we got to try across the menu.
Delicious Thai food, warm service and vibrant environment where you can talk. Highly recommend!
Food service was amazing. Make sure to try the The Thai crêpes for dessert.
Great local spot
I've tried Pad Thai three times in New York, and it was the best here.
Great addition to dumbo. The elephant decor is cute and the food and drinks are delicious.
Really good food, run by all woman crew, reasonably priced. Get the branzino!
Soooo good. Fast service and delicious food. Will return and recommend
duck was amazing! amazing service and great atmosphere :)
Absolutely love this gem of a restaurant. Amazing service and even better food!! Thank you for everything Kay!
Came here for a friend's birthday dinner. It was easy to get situated.
The apps were great between the curry puffs that balance out well with the sauce along with the spring roll and skewers.
I had the Krapow Moo Krob, which the pork belly was a nice mix of crispy and meaty with a nice bite.
I also had the Malee, which has a delicious and fragrant citrus drink. Secondly, the Rumpan was cute and another yummy drink.
The dessert crepe is a must try if you enjoy crepe and fluffy goodness
The atmosphere was great with nice decor.
And the service was impeccable. We were greeted and provided attentive and kind service.
Definitely a place to come back again.
I just had the most incredible experience at Elephant District, all thanks to Kay! She provided absolutely stellar customer service—so friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what she does. And let me tell you, her desserts are out of this world!
You must try the mango crepe and the lychee cheese tart. They are perfection—so fresh, flavorful, and beautifully crafted. Kay clearly pours her heart into every creation.
Honestly, Kay is a gem and a true asset to Elephant District. GIVE HER A RAISE—she deserves it! I can’t wait to come back for more of her amazing desserts and wonderful service.
Everything was delicious and so flavorful! For food, got the pork skewers, the chicken wings, the curry puff, Tom Kha soup, pad kee mao. We tried the lychee rose and coconut mocktails - both were yummy 🍹 most unique was the dessert - the mango crepe and coconut jelly were both so fun and presented beautifully!
we love the pork skewer! so much 😍😍😍 love the pad thai & crab fried rice too .
This place is such a hidden gem! A friend told me I had to try their dumplings so I stopped in on a random week night and had the BEST time. Kay was an incredible hostess and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back soon!
Amazing staff, very friendly. Amazing pad see ew!!
We just came back a vacation in Thailand over Christmas and were craving the great food there. The food at Elephant District was super authentic with a variety you don’t typically see at many Thai places in NYC. Will be back.
Elephant District was great from start to finish. Don’t miss the pork skewers, whole branzino, crispy pork anything, and the coconut dessert. Am I returning? Absolutely!!!
Had a great time!
Staff was so friendly and great food and great atmosphere. Had very great time there.
Absolutely delicious! We had: curry puffs, pork skewers, Dumbo dumplings, crispy calamari for the small plates. We also had Pad See Ew with beef, crispy pork belly w greens, and the khun pla tha chang- fried fish with herbs. Sauce room for dessert, created by Kay ❤️: Mango crepe, Thai crepe, and a coconut dessert. Make sure to try the cocktails. All wonderful. Fantastic!! Can’t wait to return.
Perfeito lugar
Food is the real deal in an unassuming area in DUMBO. Authentic Thai food with fresh ingredients. You can tell they put the effort in! My new go to spot for Thai in the neighborhood!
The food comes in a large portion, the atmosphere is great and people are very friendly and welcoming! Kay is the best!! Has a great sense of humor and would give you great suggestions for food. Won’t disappoint you!
I stopped by for an early dinner and was the only customer for a little bit, so I had a great conversation with one of the staff. The food was just as delightful. I had the moo ping, larb gai, and sai ua, all of which were delicious. The cha bolan was an interesting take on an old-fashioned, and the Thai tea cake was beautifully presented and not too sweet. I'd come here often if I lived nearby!
Highly recommend this spot for amazing Thai cuisine!
Fantastic meal and friendly and attentive service. Appetizers were great and noodle dishes were delicious! Very glad got dessert, the Thai crepe dessert was wonderful.
Food was delicious and service was amazing.
The food was delicious and our host was so generous and kind <3 10/10 recommend
Good food especially the dessert — we had the coconut jelly and mango crepe and both were great!
Great restaurant, awesome food, lovely staff, and SUPER desserts!!
Pretty good Thai food spot near the Brooklyn bridge Park waterfront area. Portions can be a little small but the food is pretty good and encompasses foods from different regions of Thailand. The sai oua and som tum were both good, their green curry was a little bland
The food was delicious. The entrees were some of the best thai food I had in New York. I highly recommend them. In particular, the green curry was fantastic and the ma massa mane was absolutely amazing.
Ordered take out twice and the food was incredible. Massaman Curry 10/10. Pakboong Khaosan (Vegetable dish) 10/10.
The food is exactly as it tasted when we were in Chiang Mai.
Will return monthly.
I will be blunt. Elephant District has the best Thai food I have every tasted and it's not even close. Every bite I took was a joy, the food dancing on my taste buds with a glee and ease I have seldom experienced while dining. I am not a foodie by any means but to say I thoroughly enjoyed the food at this establishment is an understatement. In fact the dish I tasted was so delightful I ordered it once again and devoured it all the same with aplomb. And then there was dessert, an experience not described but experienced. My family and I sampled three different desserts and all were not only tasteful and unlike anything we've ever tasted but weere presented in a fashion that just invited you to dig in. Simply put my experience with the food at Elephant District was one I need to repeat again. If I'm ever I'm Brooklyn again I will not walk, I will run tun to Elephant District to eat there yet again. What a delightful and enjoyable treat and one well worth repeating.
Duck phao was amazing
Really great food! Hits the spot on a cold winter day right by DUMBO.
Great food. Great service
Very friendly staff and food was amazing!!!
Nice food with elephant
Very nice spot in Dumbo, the meal was amazing and the staff very kind and friendly.
Strongly recommended!!!
Ky was super warm and welcoming and the food was very homey and delicious. I would recommend this to anyone in town on vacation or who lives here!
Elephant District was amazing! We were a little intimidated by the menu since it’s different from a lot of the Americanized Thai food we are used to so we asked our waitress, Kay, for recommendations. She was super kind and attentive and everything she recommended was absolutely delicious. I will be coming back the next time I’m in NYC.
We had pork skewers, dumplings, and tom kha soup as starters. Then the mains were khun pla tha chang, and khao soi ped. Would eat it all again!
Mango sticky rice was amazing ,
Great new spot to check out in DUMBO. Food is awesome, service is great (shout out to Kay!). Felt really authentic Thai and the food and tea presentation is really fun. They’ve committed to the elephant theme here. Make sure you get their homemade elephant coconut dessert- perfect to share.
Loved the Pad Thai! Excellent service. Chive cakes were one of my faves
it was super good! right outside brooklyn bridge so super convenient :) pad see ew was fire!
I ordered the soft shell crab curry, it was perfect
we ordered Mock duck pad see ew, basil fried rice, pork skewers (20/10), and papaya salad. everything was so delicious!! the service was AMAZINGGG!! the waitress was so kind and accommodating. the dessert was so beautifully plated and scrumptious! (Thai tea cake and coconut elephant shaped jelly) Lastly, the decor and ambiance was beautiful. I loved the elephant theme throughout the restaurant and the colorful and creative wallpaper! absolutely the best and most satisfying experience .
The food was great! The service was impeccable and the vibes were immaculate!
I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!
Wow what an amazing experience, I have never had better thai food than this. Server K was helpful in choosing what to order and in answering all my questions that I had about the food and ingredients. I cant recommend the pork skewer appetizer enough its a really nice portion of 3 thick marinated skewers and the dipping sauce is a really unique citrusy situation. I also had the green curry with noodle and fried duck which was outstanding. The menu items are definitely on the more expensive side but keep in mind they also offer standard thai dishes as well like pad see ew and basil rice etc. for like $16 if choosing chicken for example. The space is a little small but its decorated really nicely and feels cozy. We will definitely come back and/or order on delivery!
My boyfriend and I came here for the first time and not only was the food delicious, but the service was outstanding as well! 100% coming back!!
Excellent service and experience here! Our waitress was fantastic and very attentive, and the food was delicious. Will come back here many times!
Great experience! Food was great!
Great!
Yummy pad Thai and papaya salad!
Excellent new local! Don’t let the tourist shops surrounding it fool you. This place is a keeper!!!
Ky was very helpful, delicious food. Tom kha is amazing
Great and delicious food! The host was very sweet too. Love the environment. 10/10
Amazing service , the food was fantastic, I had the duck and it was fenomenal.
Food was fantastic. One of the best crab fried rice I have ever had. Great service as well!
This place was awesome! The food was great and Kay was really good and served us the best dessert!!! Thanks Kay!
The food and service here was delicious and quick. Thank you Kay for the prompt service!
Great place and friendly staff!
If you want a good Thai food and want a delicious relaxing meal with beautiful decor and service come here! It’s the best Thai food I’ve had in a long time! Support this new business in Brooklyn!
Excellent service!
Incredible food and service. Such a fantastic Thai experience!
This was surprisingly AMAZING FOOD. Try the duck noodle dish (I’m sorry I forgot the name but this os close lol). The branding is *chefs kiss*. I don’t eat pork but my partner said the pork skewers were delicious especially the sauce.
The drinks were also very good - the whisky drink I recommend.
The service was slow since they only have a few workers but I didn’t mind since we just flagged someone down when we needed something.
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, with every dish perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The service was exceptional – the staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome.
Une cuisine exceptionnelle, un endroit chaleureux et un service agréable. À ne pas louper.
Restaurant thaïlandais qui propose de bons plats typiques. J'ai aimé.
My girlfriend heard about this place and we went there on a Sunday for lunch.
Amazing! We ordered steak, medium well( it’s winter time, after all). The meat tasted so tender and better yet, the source! It’s freshly made and in fact you will need to mix different ingredients (in liquid and powder forms). It did come with a Thai flavor with chili spice.
Our appetizer was fried tuna. The official name is Crispy Tuna Salad. Haha. I won’t go into details since I don’t want to be a spoiler. But I believe it must be on everyone’s bucket list. You have to try it!
Finally, the desert. Heavenly beautiful and tasty.
Last but not least, the waitress, Kay, super attentive and always with a gentle smile. I mistakenly took her as the owner.
Stumbled into this place by chance this evening and had the most delicious meal! I asked our waitress what she would eat if she were ordering and she suggested the crispy duck over curry noodles and it was absolutely incredible.
We also tried the prawn pad thai, which was very good as well. More complex flavors than other pad thais I’ve had. I appreciated that it came with a side of spices so you could make it to your own spice level preference.
The service was great, the atmosphere is nice. Portions looked small at first but were plenty of food and reasonably priced for their quality. Overall, a great experience. Will definitely return next time I’m in the area.
Highly recommended. The food is great.
This place is soo good! We were hanging out in Dumbo one afternoon and my boyfriend found this restaurant. He had the Panang curry with beef and the crepe fointhong. Kay was an amazing server and made excellent recommendations. Super genuine. We found out she actually made the dessert herself!
Very good! Love the Pad See Ew extra spicy🌶️ thank you!
Was expecting stir-fried pork belly but I am pretty sure there was some deep fried method in the special grandmothers dish. My wife had curry massaman chicken. Flavorful but the potatoes under cooked. Great service though. Appetizer was good.
Super lovely time celebrating a friend’s bday! Incredibly yummy food and warm staff! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great vibe near Dumbo Bridge Park! Also! Def get the elephant dessert! Ah-mazingggg!!
The food was absolutely delicious and the green tea alongside the small candy was a treat!
The food was excellent so were the cocktails and the waitress had some amazing recommendations. Don’t sleep on the dessert we loved the crepe with foithong.
I recently visited Elephant District, which just opened a few months ago, and it was an incredible culinary experience from start to finish! The main courses were spot-on with authentic flavors and great execution. I ordered the drunken noodles, which were cooked to perfection with a great balance of heat and flavor. My husband had the pad Thai, which was equally delicious, and my friend ordered the Penang curry—a fantastic, flavorful dish with rich, traditional spices.
But the true highlight of our meal was the dessert menu. We tried a unique dessert involving delicate crepes filled with a creamy mixture and topped with golden, sweetened egg yolk strings. Served on a banana leaf, it was soft, sweet, and melted in my mouth—a heavenly texture and taste that left me speechless.
Then came the adorable coconut agar jelly, shaped like a little elephant. It was unlike anything I’d ever tried! Made with coconut milk, coconut water, and pieces of coconut meat, it wasn’t quite pudding but had a wonderful, delicate texture, all covered in a light coconut milk sauce. To top it off, there was a hint of edible gold leaf on both desserts—a luxurious touch that made them even more special.
We finished with a piece of homemade coconut candy, flavored subtly with jasmine water, which was exquisite. Elephant District has brought something extraordinary to the area with an impressive range of authentic dishes and memorable desserts. I can’t wait to go back!
I wish I took pics because their presentation is so nice. Loved the Kana Moo Krob (crispy pork belly and Chinese broccoli), curry puffs, and pad Thai. Overall really great local spot, much needed in the area.
Best papaya salad (Som Tum Thai) we've ever had! We had two noodle dishes, both fantastic. Our waitress Kay provided great service. Also a very cute place, loved all the elephant decor. We'll be back soon!
Great food. Hidden gem!
The best Thai food so far. Worth the trip from NJ
Great spot to sit and have a bite to eat near the water, BK bridge, etc. Service was lovely.
Delicious and amazing service
Would recommend this restaurant if you are ever in the area. Great food, great presentation, and even greater employees. Kay was great and we will definitely be visiting her again!!
Great food! Staff were friendly and helpful. Wonderful experience. Definitely recommended!
Best new gem in Dumbo.
Delicious Thai food. So glad to have another option in the neighborhood! Amazing staff!
Food was delicious!! Really loved the desserts especially - try the crepe, you won’t regret it!
Artwork is amazing 🤩
