Very tasty! We ordered tofu pad kee mao and shrimp basil fried rice and both were very large portions (2 dishes is enough for 3/4 people). The pad kee mao was a tiny bit more sour than expected, but it had a delicious char on the noodles and tofu. I do wish the ratio of noodles to veg was a little higher, but it was still very good. No complaints at all on the basil fried rice.
Awesome local Thai spot and worth it everytime if you live in or near Logan. Very reasonable prices and family that owns it are always lovely. Their curry fried rice is amazing! Papaya salad is a favorite of ours as well. Pad Thai and curries are good, but not earth shattering. Inside/decor could use a bit of TLC and is usually pretty quiet, but we always get it to go anyways.
Really lovely little place. Our server was above and beyond friendly. The food was tasty, well priced, and ready to go really quickly. The mango sticky rice we got for dessert was delicious.
I got the Pad Thai and spring rolls which were delicious. The only thing I wish was better was the dine in service and temperature inside (it was hot outside, so I understand). But, after they noticed we were inside, they served us really politely and timely. Loved the food!
I’ve only ever had this as takeout but it’s SO good everytime. Reasonably priced and everything I’ve tried has been amazing. I need to go sit down and eat there. It’s perfect.
Well this is my 1st time coming to this particular Thai restaurant which is really close to Hermosa community despite being in Logan Square. There was some rave reviews about this place. So far the prices are fair and reasonable as well as the generous portion for Thai dishes. The ambiance is modest and NOT extravagant. I noticed they delivered all the dishes all at once which is somewhat of a disappointed. I ordered Dena sausage and the chicken Tom Kha but bit was all delivered in one session including my beef red curry. To start off I have to say the Dena sausage was fresh and delicious. The my used fresh herbs and vegetables such as ginger, onion and hot peppers slices and peanuts as a garnish wrapped with lettuce and cabbage with the sausage. Very tasty. Although question if onions are a native vegetable in Thai cuisine? The chicken Tom Kha is good but nothing spectacular. It has the traditional taste but they didn't put a lot fresh basil leaves and fresh lemon grass. It's odd that certain Thai restaurants use tomato too in the USA. This is one of them restaurants and not really a big fan of tasting tomato slices in the Tom Kha or Tom yum soup. According to owner it's because most people who are non Asian don't like it like that so they have to cater to their orders. Sad. Last but not least was the main order of red curry. I ordered it with beef instead of my typical chicken I usually order it in it was decently delicious. What again was unusual was they used bell pepper which again is something I don't see in most other Thai restaurant. It was "OK" just odd to use bell peppers. It did taste like traditional red curry with the bamboo shoots and some basil. All in all it was "OK" good. I plan to come again every now and then. It is closer to travel than most Thai restaurants that is out of my way.
I’ve only ever had this as takeout but it’s SO good everytime. Reasonably priced and everything I’ve tried has been amazing. I need to go sit down and eat there. It’s perfect.
Good food 😋 loved the spring rolls 😋

I have no idea how they’re cooking their food but I ordered pad Thai and it literally tasted like some kind of ignitor fuel or lighter fluid. Completely inedible and I just threw it away
Quick, pleasant service and reasonably priced menu items with many options. My partner and I really enjoyed the chicken pad see ew and beef fried rice! They also have a bathroom available for customers that has big liminal space energy, lol.
Review: Your cury is very good spicy enough for a good kick and a great meal, Chai was complex and the sweetness complimented.
Tldr: I just wanted food, The restaurant just wanted to make food. Sorry for my mother.
Please be kind. My Mother was not kind to owner (She's old, very nice to Some people.) Mother tries to get fried rice for family, I get green curry and the Thai tea. My mother has thick accent, so does owner. I try but my mother isn't very patient (She's not violent. Again she's old) she rushes her order not letting me or her look closer and gets the wrong types of rice (Deserved lowkey) I don't blame the man at the counter, he was in an a very uncomfortable situation with a woman who didn't like him.
After the owner leaves to make the food. She says the kitchen is dirty when owner is gone, it is not, it's just organized differently then She's used too. Again I try to explain, that's how it is. She waves me off and runs to the car, I stay in the restaurant to go to the bathroom. (Aka breathe and remember it's ok to want to eat food that I want sometimes)
I stay in restaurant until the food is done. I was ashamed and stressed, I said thank you but not sorry. This is what this paragraph for, you guys deserve an apology as good as your food.
Massaman Curry and the panang curry were on point. Service was very good.
Had a pick up order - fast service! The Masaman curry was the best thing I've ordered from any Thai/Indian restaurant, seriously. Absolutely delicious with the perfect blend of spices and flavors.
Chicken Basil is delicious!
I get takeout from here often, I love the bbq pork noodles and the dumplings. I love the drawings on the walls and how quiet it is. Very nice
My favorite Thai restaurant in Chicago.
Been here a couple of times and the food is always on point. They serve big portions, the flavors are deep, the staff is kind, and the restaurant is calming. They’ve earned my business as my go-to Thai spot in Logan Square
Drove past this place a million times and never realized it was Thai food. Did a take out order…it was delicious!
Great food and service. All the dishes we got were awesome
Fun thai spot in logan square area.
food was tasty, the ambience is good. Overall, good experience.
Very good red Thai curry. Actually added spice (and left more spice for me at the table). Great flavor. Enough for two meals with an extra side of rice.
The owner was very nice and super responsive to questions.
I got the Pad Thai and spring rolls which were delicious. The only thing I wish was better was the dine in service and temperature inside (it was hot outside, so I understand). But, after they noticed we were inside, they served us really politely and timely. Loved the food!
Delicious Thai food and fantastic personal attention and service. The Pad Phrik was awesome, great mix of spicy and savory and very filling. The Thai iced coffee was sweet and delicious.
Honestly one of the best pad thai and fried rice dishes I had in a very long time. Fried rice in so many places is flavorless and here it is packed with flavor. Truly a Logan Square gem. Also great prices and owner is very nice. Will come back and probably often.
Delicious food for take away! We got the massaman and red curry, and papaya salad. Awesome. 4 stars instead of 5 on service for the extra charge when using credit card.
Lovely little spot. With both amazing red and green curry. Good range of dishes but love the fish cake appetizer.
One of my favorite
Basil fried rice. Could've use a little more flavor. Chicken satay, the chicken was sour as if they marinaded it in lime. Not sure if it was that or it was going bad. But it definitely had a strong sour after taste, the peanut sauce was good. Too expensive for what I got. Wasn't worth it honestly.
Fantastic green curry and papya salad for a good price - our new Thai spot in LS
This is my favorite place anywhere near here for Thai. The Entree's are served with rice and are crazy good. The sauces are very complex and flavorful. I love the Pad Ginger, Mixed Veggie (sauce is unreal), and Pad Basil. The veggies inside are cooked to perfection and the variety is nice. Splurging the $3 for shrimp will not disappoint, the shrimp are large and cooked perfectly.
Pad See Eu, and Pad Thai, Red and Yellow curries are also great. They just added back dine-in which is BYOB too.
Portions are not huge so I usually order three entrees for two people and end up with lunch for one of us the next day. I find the price-to-portion fair, as there is no skimping on veggies or quality to maintain a lower price.
The staff was friendly & attentive. Food was served quickly & fresh.
We definently go back for more.
I love going here. They are so nice
Great neighborhood Thai spot. It’s also the BYOB so can make for a very cheap and quaint date night.
Good authentic food. Price is very reasonable. Staff was super friendly.
I get takeout from here all the time. Everything is always consistently delicious and the staff is incredibly kind! Seriously love this place and cannot recommend enough! The pad see ew and crab rangoons are my faves :)
I wish I could give this place 10 stars!! The service was extremely kind, and food was made quick to pick up. Food was super flavorful and authentic. Tasted fresh! Will be going here all the time!!!
Yummy. I ordered the pad see ew and cucumber salad. I couldn't eat the cucumber salad because it was too spicy for me, my mouth was on FIRE, but that's my fault because I ordered medium spice—i don't know what I was thinking, haha. It looked really good though. Next time I'll order the less spicy version (and if you like spicy food, go for it, it seems like a nice side!). Anyway, happy I found this place. The prices are fair, so I'll be back.
Best authentic Thai in the area! Fast delivery and delicious!
Order done wrong very unprofessional and very I'm mean very rude .pad siew beef salty but the chicken one was good did not wanted to replace
The portions are small and we were still hungry. Not as tasty as other Thai restaurants. We ordered the pad Thai not very flavorful) pad see ew, and fried tofu. Each entree was $10.95 and the fried tofu came in a much smaller container. No side or rice.
New favorite place. Had the duck soup, pad Thai, and crab Rangoon. All were some of the best I've had
My roommates and I ordered Dena Kitchen tonight and it was so so good. The egg rolls were perfectly crisp, green curry fragrant and warming, and really good chicken fried rice. Also very affordable! Definitely recommend to all!!
Just tried this place for the first time. SUPER fast delivery, food was fresh, very well priced, and portions were big. Very homemade from scratch flavors. Also I am very picky about egg rolls and they were great. Vegetables in my dishes were not overcooked, they were fresh and crisp. Tofu and meat was plentiful with many large pieces in each dish. I will definitely order from here again and try out other dishes.
Ordered for pickup. Food price was very reasonable, they portions are a good size, and everything was ready quickly.
This place should have at least 4.5 stars. The pad thai had a lot of flavor, unlike a lot of Thai places in the city where it's just greasy noodles. The 'spicy' spice level actually had some heat! Really good, we will definitely be back.
I love this restaurant. They are always so fast, the food is affordable, and it’s super tasty! My favorite would have to be the red curry 😋
This is my favorite, go-to takeout in the neighborhood. The food is reliably delicious and reasonably priced. I love the chive dumplings, Pad See Ew, and all the fried rices. The staff here are wonderful, as well!
We may have hit them on a bad night, but it was very disappointing.
Me encanto el lugar muy limpio..organizado ..me gustaron las empanadas primera que visitó hay que apoyar los negocios pequeños bendiciones
Very disappointed. This is the first and last time I'll every eat from here. The dumplings were ok except for the roasted garlic they threw on top. The egg rolls were overcooked and bland. The 5 star chicken was greasy and made me sick to my stomach. The chicken wings were overcooked and not even crunchy. The rice was clearly made the day before and microwaved because it was in clumps and not even white!? Also the noodles where hard and clumpy.
High prices and low quality . Dining room is packed , servers are slow and don’t speak English . Would not recommend at all.
So good!! Definitely get the fried chicken appetizer! It was awesome. We also got the Pad Thai and a few other apps, generous portion sizes, super easy ordering and pickup, and our order was perfect!
Only positive is that the food was ready on time. Otherwise everything just rated cheap. I don't know how to explain it but it didn't taste like higher end thai restaurants. More like differently sauced cheap Chinese food. Won't be ordering form here again .
I love Dena’s Thai Kitchen!!! I’m lucky enough to live nearby but would recommend it to anyone in the city. Really good curry dishes, the appetizers are amazing (shrimp in a blanket and the Thai sausage💪🏽💪🏽) and there’s always plenty for leftovers. Thanks y’all!
Eat here all the time. Good prices, good food. If delivery is your speed, it’s fast and shows up hot.
Food is really good. Glad it's close to our home.
I've been a regular at Dena Kitchen for almost 3 years now. It's a quaint little place for yummy Thai meals and I've never been disappointed, except...
After all these years, I recently found out that they don't serve "truly vegetarian, real vegetarian" food till you ask about every fish/oyster/etc. sauce they could possibly be using in their food. Simply asking if the food is vegetarian will not yield an honest (or informed) answer. Don't assume that what you order with tofu/veggies is vegan/vegetarian. The new server, possibly the owner (super-helpful guy with glasses) was the person to enlighten me; a previous server who no longer works there, was the person who claimed food was vegetarian when it was not.
Now, I can almost hear my devout Hindu grandparents chiding me from their afterlives. Regardless, I will continue to dine at Dena, albeit with a much lesser frequency and with a much higher scrutiny on how they interpret my "truly vegetarian, real vegetarian" order.
5 stars for the food, -3 for the past misinformation, +1 for the belated but appreciated honesty.
Super quick and always good. Great option for take out Thai.
This business serves police. Please stay away.
Fast and courteous delivery, love the pad thai, panang curry, and green curry
This is a sweet little neighborhood Thai place that I've fallen in love with. The food is just what you'd expect, the people are kind and attentive.
Food is pretty good. They only thing I didn't like that a piece of bone was inside the chicken in my noodle dish. It was in-between the chicken.

Duck noodle soup is fire!!
I ate here last night and the food was amazing! Definitely fresh to order and very flavorful.
Try the taro chips and vietnamese spring rolls!
I order here atleast once a week . Always good service and food . Very prompt on delivery.
Food was ok. Nothing to brag about. Just like any Chinese hood spot.
Made quickly and deliciously!
Duck noodle soup. Get it. You won't regret it.
Dena’s Kitchen does not disappoint. They are always consistent and greet me sweetly and serve me kindly. I love the food and the family is so nice! Some of my absolute favorites are the Papaya Salad, Garlic Chicken, Spicy Basil Chicken and Pad See Yu Beef. Also, their Trio Fried Rice has such a deep savory flavor; it’s really unique!
The food and service at Dena Kitchen are always great.
Solid takeout place. Service for dine in is not great. Very affordable and good quantities of food.
I love Dena's! Not only is the food really yummy (I love their appetizers and curry dishes), the staff is so friendly. I always have a genuine smile talking to them and they seem passionate about the food :)
Always incredibly delicious. HIGHLY recommend the yellow curry dish and pad basil with chicken. pro tip: ask for extra spicy!!!! Yummm
Decent Thai food, pretty quick service.
Very nice people! Nice environment. Did not care for the TomKha seafood soup. The broth had a tinny flavor and the oysters (which I didn't expect to find in there) were a very strange consistency... Much too chewy and so tough in one spot I had to spit it out- I never do that. I probably just ordered the wrong thing. But I wouldn't trust any of their seafood dishes...
Super good food and kind staff!
Stop in for pickup every few weeks. The lady that runs the front desk is extra friendly, makes you feel welcome every time. One of my favorite Thai spots in the area, the pad Thai is excellent along with the couple of nonstandard items like Dena's special fried chicken. Well worth a visit!
The food was delicious and very reasonably priced!
Good little Thai place run by friendly people. And it's a BYOB that is close to several liquor stores
Super good and cheap, wasn’t busy at all and got to eat right away!
The Pad Thai was on point! Delicious!
WOW!!!! fast delivery. amazing customer service. im so impressed with food
The place went down since last visit 5 months ago. Portions are very small, almost NO protein. Disappointing experience. One dish out of 3 was marginally good. Sad!
Good
Friendly service. BYOB! Some of my favorite Thai food in the city. I prefer more quiet, less crowded places like this one. They are doing it right.
Delish, fast delivery, and they always throw in a little something free :D
I love this little restaurant! We ordered egg rolls and it was perfectly crispy and delicious, tastes fresh and so homemade. I usually dislike these big versions of the egg rolls I'm used to, but this was appetizing and I was tempted to order more. The lad nar was flavorful and the portion was perfect. (Their noodles are soft, not the crunchy version) The beef noodle soup was delicious and sweet. They use pho noodles, which is a great vehicle for you to appreciate the broth. Our waiter was so nice, his courteousness made me smile! Would recommend this place and come back again.
The tom yum seafood soup was not spicy, more like sweet and sour instead of hot and sour. The seafood in it was overcooked rubber except the fake crab which fell apart from its overcooking. The kids' sweet and sour chicken was totally overcooked as well. Thoroughly disappointing. If the food had been good then the small portion sizes would have been a problem, but at least this way we didn't have to waste as much when we chucked it out. Overpriced for the lack of quality.
Best Thai food around, quick and tasty with a lot of options. Service is great!
Surprisingly great Thai food, despite being outside of Chinatown. This restaurant is filled with authentic and flavorful items. They also deliver. The basil fried rice is a complete Delight. The crab rangoons are also some of the best that I've ever tasted.
Love the food and friendly service. Favorite Thai in Logan!
Solid spot, nothing glamorous by any means. Solid Pad Thai and friendly.
Yummy Thai food. Our new favorite.
Ordered a dish and requested it to be spicy. When I called about the food they told me to come back to get hot sauce. They didnt even try to make things right. Thai food is suppose to be spicy. Food WAS very greasy as well. NOT GIVING THEM ANYMORE OF MY BUSINESS.
Best Thai in area! Fast timely accurate delivery. Tom Yum soup, Spicy basil chicken #1 & delicious Vietnamese spring rolls & sauce! Highest quality chunks of real chicken! Succulent flavorful and incredibly delicious. Chicken pad Thai was fantastic too. Huge tasty shrimp too! I'm happy #1 quality, portions and price!
I miss Anong! How does Logan Square lack good Thai??
This was our fist time ordering from there, and the last one - no doubt.
Tom yum - I've never seen that many onions before in my life in a soup.
How do you translate "onion soup" into thai?
Other than 3-4 whole onions in a container there was a couple of tasteless chicken strips and one half (not kidding!) of a mushroom.
Panang curry with rice.
These guys love soups! Because it was not curry, it was a liquid. Again, with a few tasteless dry (buah) chicken strips and a bunch of green peppers (I bet if they could, they would change the recipe and put onions into there).
And the rice. Oh guys, it was burned. And carefully covered with a layer of normal (nut burned) rice.
In conclusion: NO. just NO. read it again, if you're an optimist: NO.
Far too expensive for mediocre food and small portions. I won't return here.
None of the food had any flavor. I ordered one of my dishes extra spicy, wasn't spicy at ALL. The wonton tasted off-putting, as if it was microwaved or not fresh Wontons. Pretty sure my daughters father has food poisoning.
This place always satisfies my Thai fix, and the service is always warm and friendly. You might score complimentary taro chips too! Yum!
I really want Dena to be good, but it's mostly just... OK, and at Logan Square prices. Hard not to compare this place unfavorably to Thai Thai or Thai Aree.
The food for Dena's Kitchen is beyond delicious!! We get the food delivered and it gets delivered SO FAST!! The food is piping hot and super fresh! Their Tom Yum is actually yum!!! Never had an issue with the food! AND THEY HAVE SWEET RICE WITH MANGO! Best. Place. For. Thai. In Logan Square!!!!!!
Our server was A bit motherly, but the food she recommended was unexpectedly good. The place looks unassuming, but order a curry or noodle item and you'll likely be surprised.
Great food. Very fast. I walked in and ordered 🍍pineapple fried rice and a mango smoothie to go. The ladies working here were so friendly and helpful, I didn't even notice the wait. And the free treat was a pleasant surprise when i got home. 😛
Everyone was super friendly and the service was so great. Food tasted great. Everyone working said by to us when we left, even their adorable little girl! Will for sure come back. Try the red curry. It's fantastic.
The staff is very friendly! I'm frequent this restaurant often and the food has been super tasty each time. Pick up orders have been very fast (10-15 mins). BYOB is a plus. Great spot for a cozy, romantic date.
Love the sticky rice!
Delicious Meal
Food was hot, fresh, and flavorful, but for price I expected the portions to be bigger. I got an entree and an appetizer to myself, and was still hungry after.
Excellent Thai food in LS for a great price
The foods pretty good, but the portion size and price are big downers
I've ordered take-out from here countless time. My favorite meals are the Green Curry and Red Curry with tofu (the Red Curry is nice and spicy!) paired with the Chicken Satay appetizer with delicious peanut sauce. I'm the type of person who likes to try new restaurants and new dishes but I keep coming back to the curry at Dena because it's so good.
The food arrives in about an hour, maybe less, always hot and I've never had anything missing or incorrect.
They usually toss in something for free like crab rangoon or those sweet chips. I used to think it was because I lived across the street so delivery was super easy but I've moved a mile up the street and still get free items so it must be from tipping well 0:)
I loved their hot and sour soup but didn't like their miso soup. I also found the Pad Kee Mao to be flavorless but my friend had either the Pad Woon Sen or Pad Bamee (noodle dish) and it was very good. I wouldn't eat here again because of the horrible atmosphere, but I would get takeout.
I've gotten take-out here a few times, and everything is always incredibly flavorful, fresh, and filling. Just constantly impressed, I don't think you can order something bad at Dena Kitchen.
My favorite Thai in the city. Excellent service, everything's delicious.
Good food, friendly service, poor atmosphere
Recently moved into the area and was looking for a new favorite Thai place and this is it! ! !
Delivery was fast and food was hot and DELICIOUS! Really lots of flavor cooked right! And they even gave us two free egg rolls! :-) thank you! !
This is our new Thai place and they can expect a lot of business from us
Excellent place! The beef noodle soup is the go to meal!
Delicious Pad Thai with a super friendly staff.
Constantly delicious with all meals. It's finally a place where I don't have to stick to my typical meal, I can attempt to love another dish and I'm always happy. Super nice family and if you order to pick or deliver, it's like 15 mins. Can't beat that!!
My go to spot for eating out - cozy atmosphere, fantastic food, and the staff is always very friendly. This is a great, quiet place to bring a bottle of wine and enjoy with friends.
For a neighborhood spot behind a Walgreens this is a great spot with really flavors and true spice in traditional Thai fare. Great for dine in or carry out. Fast, great prices, and fresh. A+
Ordered delivery through them, it took 1:20. I called at the hour mark and there was no answer. Waited a few, called back and they fumbled on the phone looking for my order. Not much of an apology at that point. I had read that they actually use real chinese broccoli in their Pad See Ew, so I was excited for that. When the order arrived, it was luke warm and there was just regular broccoli on the dish. It's also worth noting the portion size was quite small, maybe the size of a lean cuisine. Overall, for a one order of pad see ew and a coke, 16$ was way, way too much. Also, really regretted tipping up front. Boo, Dena Kitchen! I had high hopes and you were just disappointing across the board.
The Thai food here is the best in this area. Great service, friendly people.
Excellent food. I like the menu layout. Sometimes they put annoying lettuce under the food. If you ask for spicy, they make it spicy.
