With 20 years of experience cooking in the finest restaurants, our chef is excited to present their vision of Thai food to our guests. Our caring and committed staff make sure you have a fantastic experience with us. Our food is prepared with love and high quality ingredients. Most of our dishes are vegetarian and vegan friendly. Please specify and dietary preferences/restrictions with our wait staff.
I came here at around 5pm ish and it was empty. It is halal, so that’s great. The tom kha soup was some of the best I’ve ever had! We also ordered the drunken noodles with tofu, and the tofu was so perfectly charred. Service was great, and I believe Anna herself came to ask how everything was- she was so nice! Loved the two things we ordered and would definitely want to try more!
Without a doubt, this has become our favorite Thai restaurant in town. The Crab Rangoon was simply exquisite, perfectly flaky and irresistibly moist. Alongside the appetizers, we savored the Chicken Pad Thai and Chicken and Shrimp Pad-See-Iew, both of which were full of flavor and aroma. The service was exceptional, attentive and friendly staff, we even got a chance to meet Anna herself, the friendliest person you’ll ever meet. If you want a total dining experience, Anna's Thai Kitchen Restaurant it is, nothing in the area compares to the culinary Thai experience.
On my second visit to Anna’s Thai Kitchen, I ordered the chuchi salmon, drunken noodles, and the ever-popular crab rangoons. The chuchi salmon was rich and well-executed, with the creamy, coconut-based curry complementing the natural flavor of the salmon beautifully. If you’re a fan of salmon and enjoy a mild, flavorful curry with just the right amount of spice, this dish is a good choice. The curry’s texture was smooth, and it had a subtle, fragrant aroma that added to the overall experience. Not alot of rice with the dish however, which is sad because it's almost 30 dollars.
The drunken noodles, known for their savory and slightly spicy profile, were just as satisfying. The noodles were cooked to perfection, neither too soft nor too firm, with a well-balanced combination of stir-fried vegetables and tender meat. The dish had a pleasant heat, with a subtle sweetness in the sauce, making it a good complement to the richness of the chuchi salmon. I don't like my noodles sweet and spicy but thai food is like that.
As for the crab rangoons, which I had loved on my first visit, they weren’t quite as impressive this time around. The rangoons were more crunchy than crispy, and the filling—once generously stuffed—was noticeably reduced, which diminished some of the joy that this typically indulgent appetizer brings. While still flavorful, the lack of balance between the shell and the filling left me slightly disappointed. Despite that, the crab rangoons remain a highlight on the menu, and when prepared well, they are the best thing Anna’s Thai Kitchen has to offer.
Overall, Anna’s Thai Kitchen is still a great spot to visit, particularly for those seeking halal options. I always make it a point to support businesses that cater to diverse dietary needs, and the restaurant maintains a clean, welcoming environment. The bathrooms were spotless, and the service was prompt and friendly, which added to the positive dining experience.
We came here for the first time last Saturday and had a very good experience. The service is excellent and so is the food. We ordered a lot of items from the menu so we were able to try a good variety of dishes. We will definitely come back. Parking is a bit of an issue and the actual restaurant is more on the cozy side so I would recommend making a reservation. I ordered the lychee lemonade, drunken noodles with chicken and curry rice with chicken. Husband and daughter ordered the firecracker chicken, and the crying tiger steak. We shared the Tom Yum soup with coconut and chicken and it was my favorite item. We ended the evening with the mango sticky rice. For some reason the white sauce in that was salty, I've had this dessert before at Dan Thai and it was sweet. I'm not sure if it's a different variation but I would request making it sweet the next time I order that dessert.
I had the pleasure of visiting Anna’s Thai Kitchen in Chicago on November 14, 2024, during my trip from England, and it was an unforgettable experience!
The food was absolutely exceptional—bursting with authentic flavors, perfectly balanced, and cooked to perfection. Every bite was a delight, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into their dishes.
What truly elevated my visit was the outstanding service from Catherine. She was more than amazing, kind, attentive, and incredibly efficient. She made sure every need was met with genuine care, and her warm demeanor added a special touch to the evening. It’s rare to come across someone so passionate about making customers feel valued.
Anna’s Thai Kitchen is a gem, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone in Chicago. This was easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had, and I’ll definitely be back on my next visit to the city!
Had a dinner with few friends (4/26). There are tons of choices on the menu for veg and non-veg options. Food is above average and based on friends, who have been to Thailand, this was as good for the mainland. Service was great as well as the food presentation and chef Anna stopped by and spoke with guests. Mango sticky rice was good as a desert. (Betel leaf appetizer, PANAng curry with tofu and more..)

The food is delicious and flavorful. Service is always nice and friendly. Atmosphere is always welcoming!
Went here for the first time with a group of friends for a birthday and it was fantastic! The food was fresh, flavorful, and delicious! It's also Halal/Zabiha which is a great added bonus!
World class Thai gem that is also halal is a Chicago dream come true. The chef / owner Anna is friendly and eager to showcase her cooking and hospitality.
I have never been here before, but the food was so delicious. The staff was so attentive and even Anna herself came to greet us to ask about the food. On top of that, the place was extremely clean and wonderful to look at. Definitely coming back.
Anna’s Thai Kitchen is the hidden gem I never knew I needed in my life. This adorable mom-and-pop spot has quickly become my go-to for amazing Thai food. The prices are fair, and the food? Chef’s kiss. Every bite feels like a warm hug for your taste buds. 🥢💕
The service is as wonderful as the food—friendly, quick, and genuine. You can tell they really care about making their guests feel welcome. And don’t even get me started on the atmosphere—it’s cozy, charming, and just perfect for a casual dinner or takeout night.
We ordered the lunch special, so we thought it wouldn’t be that fresh. The food came out very quickly, and it was delicious! Our dining partner had a made to order dish and she absolutely loved it. Our server, Charlie, was extremely attentive and very polite! We enjoyed our meal at Anna‘s, and recommend it!
Okay so this is a gem right off the bat the mango smoothie is one of the best things I’ve ever tried and the “khao soi” was amazing chicken was perfect and the overall dish was such a pleasure to eat super savory and flavorful! 10/10 I’ll be back

I've been here twice and both times the food was excellent. I've had a lot of Pad Se Ew with various preparations, proteins, and spellings, but this is easily the best I've eaten in Chicago and the NW suburbs. The food is tasty and very fresh. The restaurant is cozy, clean, and quiet. I'm pretty sure it's family run and the staff is diligent and kind. I will be back and I would recommend it to anyone within an hours drive.
This is the best Thai food in Chicago. I will die on that hill
crab rangoon, lime chicken, pho, curry, and pad thai were all v good
Food was excellent and HALAL!
Edit: From 2 stars for the food to 4 stars overall for the service. They apologized for my experience and made amends. Maybe just my order was a fluke.
Original: The edamame was delicious, so great start. The entrees, however, were sour. They were hard to eat and at $20 each too? I will get better tasting Thai for cheaper elsewhere.

This was a wonderful place to eat. The owner graced us with conversation and the service overall was outstanding. We loved our meal.
Excellent Everything! Delicious food & fabulous service.
I love Pad Woon Sen, but usually it has fish sauce which I avoid as a vegetarian (and because it smells weird to me lol). This dish was made with her signature Mushroom sauce instead, and was so amazing - I've finally been able to eat my favorite thing again! Although the restaurant isn't specifically vegetarian, it is so accommodating to those who eat Vegetarian or Halal that it can allow a mixed group of friends to easily find something everyone likes. I will be back here many times.
- Forgot to mention - Anna came and said hello sometime during the meal. I was there with my sister and we may have stayed and chatted an exceptionally long time, but no one was unfriendly or tried to rush us out and Anna even encouraged us to stay longer .
I've been here three times this week. Yeah. It's delicious.
The crab rangoons are the best in the entire world. I can't stop thinking about them. I think they have a melting cheese and cream cheese inside, because they are gooey and chewy. They have a creamy vinegary spicy sauce that they come with that I could put on anything.
The Khao Soi (I think it's a soup?) is spicy and creamy, with noodles and a leg of chicken, AND it has crispy bonus noodles too. The portion is good and you can have leftovers for one more small meal. I'm craving it so bad.
Very good Thai food. I had the fried tofu as an appetizer. Then we ordered pad thai and the pad see ew. Both were excellent. Nicest servers and people. We will be back.
Amazing food!
The portions are nowhere near worth the prices charged. The prawn rangoons were barely filled at all. They were basically just fried wanton wrappers that cost almost as much as a meal. I ordered a shrimp pad Thai and it was the blandest pad Thai I've ever had. I'm sure their service is great but the food is not at all worth the price. For two people, we spent nearly $60 for 2 meals and 1 appetizer.
The server is a really nice person. Very respectful kind and friendly.
The food THE FOOD!!! WOW VERY GOOD FOOD!
You won’t regret coming in for Thai food.
Just had a great meal here. Came with 2 kids, we were able to get a little side of carrots since that was the only vegetable one of them would eat. Everything was delicious, particularly the crab curry (which was a special, hopefully they bring it back). And they gave some little extra sauce containers with our to-go boxes, without even asking. We will definitely be eating here again.
The pad thai was not worth 33 bucks
Everything is delicious and always great service!
Anna's is the best thai food in Chicago (and the best Thai food I've ever had!) hands down. My family and I love visiting Anna and having her share her culture with us through her delicious food. Some of our favorites are the pad woon sen, chu chee salmon, crab rangoon, taro tango, thai crying tiger, pad thai, cashew nuts over rice, and phra ram rong song (the peanut sauce is to DIE for). Basically, we haven't had a dish at Anna's that we haven't loved (and she is very accommodating for dietary restrictions, I'm vegan but my family isn't and we all can't get enough of the food). To top it all off, Anna and her staff are so kind and welcoming. Truly a neighborhood gem, and a destination for anyone visiting Chicago!
This is the best Thai restaurant in Chicago. Trust me, my wife is Thai and I’ve eaten all over Thailand and we loved it here just as much. Super nice owner / chef as well.
Everything is delicious but I highly recommend the tiger cry beef, chicken larb, tom kha soup, thai fried rice, grilled chicken, and pad thai!
They also serve Zabiha Halal meat upon request which is very nice!
This place is delicious and Anna is a sweetheart. Best Thai food in Chicago.
This is the best Thai food I’ve had by far. Great service, food, atmosphere, 10/10. With whatever you get, order the crab rangoons!
Without a doubt, this has become our favorite Thai restaurant in town. The Crab Rangoon was simply exquisite, perfectly flaky and irresistibly moist. Fantastic Thai food!
We stopped here on a whim and were so happy and surprised by how good to food was. I had tofu panang curry and it was so layered and delicious.
Fantastic food, exceptional service, and a perfect dining experience. It’s obvious everything is made with care and fresh ingredients are of the highest importance. The staff are all super attentive, friendly, and pay strong attention to any restrictions you may have.
This place is really really great.
Everything was delicious! Haven’t had tasty Thai food in a longggg time and this was so worth the drive. I wish they were open later. They serve halal meat and that was the primary reason we came.
Had the crying tiger beef, tom kha soup, spring rolls and papaya salad. Everything was on point. Medium spice was ok but I may order spicy next time.
Met Chef Anna, she was very nice as well.
The food comes out hot and fresh, the portions sizes are very large, and the flavor is unmatched. Anna is an incredible cook.
Absolutely incredible Thai food!!
The pad thai was delicious!
Anna’s is incredible! The staff are so friendly and attentive, and the food is beautiful and delicious. We got to meet Anna herself and she is so warm and kind! I got the green curry and my friend got the pad see ew, we both loved it and can’t wait to come back. The mango sticky rice is TO DIE FOR
The food in this hidden gem was delicious and one of the best Thai I have had. I have lived in Singapore and their drunken noodles and mango sticky rice was a good as I’ve had there. So happy the meat is halal. They get their coconut fro
Thailand which makes a big difference to the taste I think
Best crab rangoon I've ever had, actually everything was delicious 😋
We had a delicious experience at Anna's Thai Kitchen! The wait staff was so helpful with the menu and everything we ordered was fantastic! I'm still thinking about how delicious the Betal Herb Wraps were!
The best Thai restaurant in town.
Food is amazing and Anna adjust the spice level to your desire.
Location is fancy and park easy to find.
Try the fried tofu
This place has great ambiance. Anna herself took our order AND prepared the food. My friends and I had a great experience. Anna spoke with us about Thailand and her journey to entrepreneurship. These are the types of experiences I love. Will definitely return.
Amazingly delicious Thai food! Best I've had in Chicago. And it's halal. The service is fantastic and Anna is so gracious and kind. She came out to greet us and ended up making a new dish that she was about to debut on the menu for us to try. You gotta come to Anna's and try her fantastic food. You won't regret it!
We loved this spot. For apps we ordered the crab rangoon (imitation), shrimp wantons and the chicken satay. Around our table we got the drunken noodles, pad thai and panang curry. Everything was delicious and the staff were really friendly. Anna even came to greet us and ask about the food. We’ll be back!
I love that everything is Halal! Service was great and food was even better.

Delicious food!!! Best drunken noodles I’ve ever had. The ambience is lovely. Anna (!!) came by after we finished our food to check in and thank us - she’s so sweet and deserves every success!
Everything was delicious and great service.
Not sure why I haven't come here sooner. Flavors are on point , food smells amazing. The service was nice and the restaurant was well cleaned. The only negative thing I can think of is they are not open late... But the food is so good I forgive them. 😋🔥😋
Ordered:
Red Curry
Pad Thai
Pad kee mau
Chicken fried rice
Carb rangu
Panang curry
Anna came out to meet us at the end. She is super Nice amazing person.
I run a supper club that's been around for 16 years and had one of the best Thai dining experience in Chicago. Our plate were on point with choices you don't see in many of the Thai restaurants in Chicago. Anna was a pleasure to work with accommodating our party of 16. Will definitely going back to do one of her Tuesday pre fix menu.
We had a large party and had pre-ordered many of the dishes. All were fantastic. Loved the omelet and steak! On of my favorite Thai restaurants now!
We did the five-course private tasting at Anna’s and it could not have been better. Anna curated a personal, intimate experience for our group where every bite was more beautiful and more delicious than the last. We can’t wait to come back for the lobster curry!
It was my first time trying Thai food, and it was great! The service was excellent too. What made this restaurant stand out was that the chef, Anna, personally came to our table to inquire about the quality of the food and our satisfaction. It was the first time I'd seen a chef/owner care so much about our experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent and authentic quality Thai food and preparation, would definitely say it’s one of the best, if not best halal Thai spots in the Chicagoland area. It’s a very busy restaurant however, so plan ahead of time. It’s in a nice area so there’s a decent amount of things to do while you wait. Can’t blame the restaurant for high demand! Restaurant closed at 8:30 PM and yet they remained open until 10 PM to provide takeout since dine-in was closed, so customer service was also great. Great prices as well, value was more than the price
Never left a review anywhere but wow the food was amazing
Food is fabulous, curries had nice heat and flavor. Sticky rice was a good end to the meal.
First time eating here and the food was delicious. The experience was made extra special when Anna herself came over to ask how our meal and experience was. Will definitely come back again!
Great food conveniently located right off the montrose brown line
We went to Anna's last night with a few friends, and I'm blown away! All of the food we got was delicious. Everything was flavorful and appropriately spicy (they don't allow mild on some dishes, and the medium was delicious!)
They had dozens of vegan dishes, or dishes that could be made vegan. Both were clearly marked with green or blue leaves on the menu.
Favorites were the fried rice, and the green curry!
The staff was incredibly frindle. Anna also came to our table after our meal to apologize for the wait and ask how we liked our food! It was only like 30 minutes, and we didn't notice anyway. This will def be a regular visit!
We live just a few steps away from Anna's and really treasure it. The servers are always kind, and we love when Anna herself stops by the tables to talk about her amazing recipes! I've tried at least 4 different dishes, all were spectacular. There are plenty of vegetarian options, and if you are a fan of spicy food, Anna's is the place. You can choose your level of spice, and the top levels ARE LEGIT. We recommend the lily pad appetizer before your food. Thank you, Anna!
Just updating this to say the wait is no longer long and the service is great.
The wait will be long (newer restaurant and seems everything's made to order) but it's worth it. Green curry had such good depth to it and the curry rice was good as well. Happy to have a great local Thai place that does vegetarian!!
Tried for the first time, the red curry was so good. You can tell it’s lovingly made and so flavorful, they don’t skimp on ingredients like some places. Packaged nice for take out too. Will need to return to try more dishes!
Loved our experience at Anna's! We were in downtown for a farmer's market and found this to be nearby. Enjoyed the conversation with Anna and meeting her great server team. We ordered the Thai grilled chicken with a fantastic tamarind dipping sauce, an order of crab rangoons (portion size could have been a meal on its own) and the curry chicken fried rice was exceptional. Looking forward to visiting again next time we're in the city.
Wow, just went to Anna's Thai kitchen on Montrose avenue in Chicago. That was probably the best Thai food I've ever had! What a wonderful surprise. Anna came out and welcomed us personally. She was very welcoming and very sweet.
The restaurant is very nice inside inside. Don't let the store front fool you. It's a wonderful restaurant and the food is unbelievable. Each dish had its own unique flavor from the soups to the entrees. Everything was delicious! We felt like someone was in the back from "Top Chef" making it... It is that unique and it is that good! I'm sorry we can only give five stars. I wish we could give 10. Outstanding!
Great neighborhood eatery.
Anna is wonderful, as is her food and staff.
Pulled over while driving to take a call... ended up right in front of Anna's. My wife and I were looking for a place to eat so why not pop in and give it shot. It was the perfect accident. Anna checked on all the tables and we sat and talked with her for a while. However we didn't leave without giving her our info to book a private event here! I've been a chef for 23 years but I'd eat here any day!!! MONEY!!!
We had som tom, green curry and the betel leaf wraps. Devine! Betel leaf wraps: A Royal snack indeed! One of the most delicious and unique things I’ve ever tasted. Anna herself was cooking and came to introduce herself. Super vegan, vegetarian and halal friendly. There was even a whole vegan appetizer platter on the menu.
Amazing food, relaxed ambiance, great service and easy to find street parking..
Relaxed atmosphere with wonderful food and friendly but not intrusive service. The owner/head chef Anna even checked in with everyone. They were lovely.
Such good food. The food was served fast and the owner came up to us and talked to us, she was very nice.
It was great food. Got the green curry chicken and crab rangoon was very tasty. Was spicy and was very flavorful.
Amazing food and service definitely recommend
Came in with a friend just to try it. Some of the best Thai food I’ve had in Chicago and was floored when Anna herself came to the table to ask how everything was. Recommend to anyone in the Irving Park area looking for quality, down-to-earth Thai.
The food is well crafted, wonderfully fresh, and pleasantly light compared to other Thai Ive had in Chicago. There are no heavy oils or mounds of just noodles here. The Tom Kha soup comes with large fresh mushrooms and perfectly crisp tofu. The curry will clear your sinuses and leave your belly smiling. Everything Ive had is just delicious.
Best Thai food I ever had
Honestly the food is so delicious and flavorful to die for and so many different selections. Salmon chi chee is my favorite plate. Lots of vegan and vegetarian plates.
Service is great.
I really just kind of stumbled in here with a friend because a place nearby that I was supposed to go to had a long wait. The crying tiger steak was to die for! Loved every bit of the steak, the sauce, and the rice. The service was very good and the atmosphere was perfect for conversation. As a bonus: I loved that they have halal meat here and specify it on the menu. Will definitely come back.
This place is fantastic, Anna really cares about her business. The delivery driver forgot my drink and Anna drove it out to me! I would give more than 5 stars if I could.
Anna is very sweet and kind. I usually come here for lunch specials priced at $12.99. It’s a solid deal and you get a spring roll on top of an entree.
I’ve tried the chicken pad Thai and the shrimp fried rice - all very tasty. One time, I ordered shrimp fried rice and they gave me chicken fried rice. I didn’t make a fuss about it and still ate it. I pointed the error out only when they tried to charge me extra for the shrimp. Instead of just taking off the charge, Anna let me have the entire meal for free.
It’s a wonderful locally owned restaurant and is great value for money. The only small complaint I have is the credit card surcharge and charge for take out containers, but it’s understandable being a family business.
The best Thai food I’ve had in the city! Plus the staff and Anna, the chef and owner, are all so friendly and kind.
The crab rangoon is a MUST!
We decided to try something new last Friday and try Anna's Thai Kitchen Restaurant. Absolutely phenomenal and I can't wait to be back.
Im pretty picky Im not gunna lie, but its literally the best thai food Ive had in my life. I had Catherine serving me, and she was so helpful when helping me pick something. Would def recommend for a fun time with friends, family, or a date
Really lovely restaurant. Food is delicious, with fresh, quality ingredients. Staff is kind, efficient and welcoming. Will definitely be back.
Went for dinner and had a great time! Anna greeted as after we sat down and it became really apparent how much love and care she and the rest of the staff put into the restaurant and the food. We got the basil stir fry and the hidden gem and they were both top notch! Will definitely stop by again
Anna’s Thai Kitchen is fantastic!! Food is delicious and service is phenomenal. Music played was great too! Anna is very sweet and kind. I highly recommend.
Anna’s might be the best Thai food in Chicago. The dishes are always fresh and perfectly prepared, plus they are very accommodating for vegan/vegetarian options, gluten-free options, and food allergies.
We had fantastic food and met Anna! Highly recommend! Best pho we’ve had and we eat it all over the country!
Anna Thai is the best, maybe the best Thai place in Chicago, certainly my favorite place, glad I found this gem.
Tasty tasty, kitchen can sometimes be slow but always worth it!
The food was just okay, and the crab Rangoon was not made with cream cheese, which was not good. The other things we ordered were again okay but I've had better which I'm sorry to say since this is a neighborhood place for me and I won't be back.
The service and food here is amazing. Best Thai food ever ❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely love this place! Everything I’ve tried is delicious and the service is always great. My go-to is the chicken pad Thai and crab Rangoon- seriously don’t skip the crab rangoon. They also have other unique dishes you won’t find at other Thai restaurants.
I went the other day and tried the salmon curry dish as well as the mango rice as dessert. Incredibly good!
This is the best food outside of Thailand. Made to order fresh! Everyone is so nice!! I recommend it to everyone!!!
Just left Anna’s Thai Kitchen. Best Thai food around ! We have referred several people and they all love it. Have no idea what previous reviewer is unhappy about. Some people are never happy.
We LOVE Anna’s
Try it you’ll LOVE IT!!
We came at 5:40 on a Saturday evening. The place next door was packed but Anna's was not. We should have left. The food took an hour to come out for 2 plates. The restaurant had maybe 5 groups of people. The food was not good. They charge 4% fee for card payments. They also charge for to go containers. Save your money and eat somewhere worthy.
This is very good Thai. The flavors are wonderful. Anna knows what she is doing. I also found out some of the recipes she uses are her mom's. Beat that.
Amazing food. BYO. Liquor store next door
Best Thai food I’ve had in Chicago.
Everything we ate was great (betel leaf wraps, papaya salad, green curry, drunken noddle, pad see Lew and mango sticky rice).
Anna and her daughter are lovey people. It’s obvious they work hard to use high quality ingredients that are not easy to get locally.
I can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu.
Let me start by saying Anna is very sweet and kind, she is the only reason for a 2 star… I saw airing on tv about the place and had to try it! Anna was so sweet and very kind! I ordered the crab Rangoon and steak… crab Rangoon was good but they were not filled full and we’re mediocre in flavor, the sauce it came with was not the best match: the steak entree was more like flank stank that was freezerburn with a lot of sauce to try to cover up; the other entree, ginger chicken was ok but nothing spectacular; the Tom ka was excellent!
Not let’s talk about drinks…. Iced tea at 5.99 A GLASS. Come on Anna that is ridiculous! I had two filled with excessive ice and charged 5.99 EACH!!!!! My spouse had one too. We paid 18.00 for three glasses of just plain ole iced tea.. not bubble tea, not their tea. Just basic Unsweet tea!!
Boxes— .50 each for a to go box for the under flavored and freezer burn food?
There is also a cash price and a card price so if you venture to eat here take cash! (4%)
Wow.
Absolutely the best Thai I’ve had in a long time. Fresh, high quality ingredients and drunken noodles to die for. Save room for the mango sticky rice if it’s in season! The owner Anna is just lovely, too. Highly recommend!
Anna made my birthday super special! First her staff were very attentive and provided great service.
Then the food was amazing, my party of 4 tried 2 stir fry dishes, pad thai and a curry.
All were top notch dishes and could tell she has amazing recipes for all different types of Thai dishes.
At the end she came out to meet us, and when I mentioned my birthday she provided us with a mango sticky rice which was delicious to share as a Dessert.
Restaurant is 5 Stars all around and cannot wait to go back!
Top tier Thai
This place is incredible, best Thai restaurant in the city!! Thank you for taking care of our team Anna!!
Delicious food and helpful staff. Nice atmosphere!
Highly recommend! Delicious food with top quality ingredients and large portions in a pleasant setting with great service. Menu covers traditional Thai favorites and more. Will definitely be coming back!
The food is delicious and you can tell the ingredients are all high quality. Anna introduced herself and is very friendly and gracious as well, highly recommend to eat in and enjoy it!
Anna’s Thai Kitchen restaurant is among the best Thai food in Ravenswood: consistently delicious food, smoothies, and friendly service. The last time we dined in, the restaurant owner- Anna, came to talk to us to see if everything was okay and if the food was good. She’s a lovely lady!
Best dishes to order, in my opinion: pad thai, drunken noodles, seafood soup, green curry, crab rangoon, and papaya salad.
Went for lunch The menu prices are very high. The waitress seemed like she didn’t want to be working that day but the service was prompt. The food was very good but the portions weren’t
substantial for what it was. I wasn’t looking for supersized portions but at least enough to share. We got 2 noodle dishes and 2
non alcoholic drinks. Came to 50.00+tip. They add a fee which was not disclosed “non cash adjustment fee”. I asked what it was. The waitress couldn’t even explain it nor did she offer to remove it. She said if you use a cc it’s more and for cash it’s less. What the heck does that mean? I’m sick of extra fees , etc. Be transparent and don’t charge ppl without disclosing them first. I didn’t see it posted anywhere. It’s so sneaky.
Love Anna's!! I've dined in at least six times over the past year, and ordered carry-out on top of that. The food is excellent with many vegetarian options - their tofu is SO GOOD. The staff is so friendly and patient. They give you a disclaimer about their authentically Thai "hot" spicy dishes, which bring the heat without sacrificing flavor. The service is fast, the atmosphere is cozy, and I'm so happy to have this place in the neighborhood. Pro tip -- always order the Lily Pads to start!
The owner is so sweet and you can tell she is passionate about the food she creates. Always fresh, perfect spice, elevated dishes. Highly recommend!
in from nyc. must stop. to. eat. prawns.
Pro tip: order the Thai Spiced Chicken (or pork) AND the Mixed Vegetables. Yes, it's 2 entrees... you either share, or bring home the leftovers for another meal. The chicken thighs are cooked to perfection and the seasoning is addicting. Also, the vegetables are always crisp and bright, never over cooked.
Also, the unique appetizers are excellent. The crab cakes are bursting with crab and shrimp and no pesky bread crumbs.... the spicy peanut sauce that comes with the roller satay is divine, the betel leaf is fun and fresh, the taro tango is a little sweet, a little tang, and some crunch and so good...oh and the shrimp blossoms too.
And one more must have is the Tom Kha soup, ask for it with extra veggies for a surprise in every spoonful.
Coming back from vacation in Thailand, we tried a lot of restaurants looking for the same amazing flavors we experienced out there.
Anna’s is the ONLY Thai restaurant that tastes exactly like Thailand! This is the best Thai restaurant in Chicago, hands down.
This is what I've been waiting for; a Thai restaurant run by someone who cares passionately for the food. Anna is amazing. I had the fried tofu, green deep fried wontons filled with spinach and spices and Pad Kee Mow. It was all excellent. I wish Milwaukee would up their Thai game to this level. And, while I was enjoying my meal, Anna came over to the table and asked how I was enjoying it. This is my favorite thing an owner can do, interact with the customers. She told me she shops every morning and makes sure everything is fresh. What a world of difference. I can't wait to be back in Chicago and try other dishes here. A real gem. The hallmark of a great place is when you keep eating because everything is so delicious, even though you are stuffed.
Super yummy! The flavor is next level!
Great food, great portion size!
Best thai I’ve had in Chicago.
Tried crispy pork lunch, larb, and papaya salad. Pretty good food overall, with good dine-in service.
Very yummy food.
The owner was there in the middle of the day. She greeted us and told us about the place and her recipes. Everything was very fresh and tasted very much like the best Thai food I've had in a while
I like to get take out from here. Pad Thai chicken is my go to order here. The owner is really kind as well.
Great food, was made fresh to order and tasted very fresh.
Every meal and drink I have ordered in this special restaurant has been just so specially cooked with intention, flavor, and love!!
Seriously the best pad thai I’ve had in so long and their mango smoothies are amazing.
The best part is Anna, the cook and owner, always comes out to greet everyone and ask how the food was.
This is definitely my new favorite thai restaurant, thank you 🙏🏼
Amazing Thai food! I love their new appetizers. Taro and Chive. So tasty and filling. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
I’m so addicted to this place. As a vegan it’s difficult to find tasty, fresh and well priced options. This place does not disappoint. Let’s of vegan option. Very delicious. Highly recommend.
Incredible!! Shumai, Wonton, Thai Crying Tiger (Halal Steak), Pad Thai - everything I’ve tried here has been amazing. BYOB which is perfect for any budget and exceptional service every time.
Delicious food.
Delicious food and very friendly staff.
This place was so delicious. We had seafood noodle soup, pepper and garlic with mixed vegetables and mixed veggies over rice. Food was so fire and looked even better than the pictures. Anna is so sweet. Go eat here!!
So good! We had the chive appetizer, the pad thai, and the spicy bamboo with rice and it was incredible. The owner/chef came out and said hello and you can tell she cooks every dish with so much care and expertise. Will definitely be back, and I hope many more hungry customers get to enjoy this wonderful food!
Absolutely delicious!
Everything was so delicious 😍 I was surprise with the size of the Crab Rangoon, normally is a small appetizer, but here they made it bigger and the sauce is just so delicious! It feels fresh and very tasty! I also ordered the Pad Thai medium spicy with beef and some crushed peanuts and OMG! Just love it so much! The food is delicious, the menu has many options including vegetarian ones and the best of everything is that the owner was there and took the time to meet my friend and I. We spoke for a while and we got to know more about her story and the restaurant. It was a lovely experience in a cozy place. 100% recommended!! ❤️
It is absolutely fantastic, such amazing flavors.
Great service and delicious food. Tom Kha soup was outstanding! Will definitely be back
Awesome thai food!!!
This place has to be experienced by all Chicagoans who enjoy Thai food. The best and most consistent Thai cuisine, and long overdue to Chicago. Lots of other Thai places put their best food forward; this place is already in front of the line. It's just a chill and peaceful vibe when dining in. At the risk of having to contend with crowds, this gem of a restaurant must be shared with my fellow Chicagoans.
Literally, try every dish on the menu; the food is that good. Thankful it's in the rotation!
Highly recommended
Highest quality Thai in Chi!
As a Thai food lover, I’ve eaten at numerous Thai restaurants in the city, but recent gluten and fructose sensitivities forced me to stop eating it. One day out walking, my wife and I met Anna, who said that she didn’t use high fructose corn syrup, used only gluten-free soy, and bought the highest quality meats. She said she accommodates many different food allergies and would work with us to meet our needs.
WOW, the high-quality ingredients and Anna’s culinary expertise REALLY make a difference! The Tom Kha soup was made freshly to-order, and the Crying Tiger Steak was the highest quality ribeye (non-fatty!) I’ve ever eaten at a Thai restaurant! The Pad-see-ew was delicious, with thin-sliced, very tender broccoli, and the drunken noodles tasted like the basil was freshly picked from a garden. It was legitimately the best Thai meal I’ve ever eaten – and this morning I felt great, so her dietary accommodations worked!
Do yourself a favor and try it; I was truly amazed. The ambiance was also nice, and the service was fantastic!!
IT'S SO GOOD!! Love that there are vegan options! The weekend special menu items are my favorite. And every sauce I've had I've fallen in love with. Plus a liquor store next door? Perfect!
I love the menu. Everything is "addictive". Crying Tiger steak plate, Thai style beef noodle, margaritas ...are just a few to name. The owner is so friendly. Staff are very professional. I love this place. 5+ stars. I dined in a few times and ordered to go a few times, food are consistently all time. Reasonable price for quality ingredients (you can tell from the taste
My experience was amazing. the environment, the feel of the place is just everything to die for. the food is great, they do well with explaining all the options. the service is A1. love it
