One of the better traditional Thai eateries in Honolulu/Oahu. The green curry was very well prepared with a lot of well cooked vegetables. We ordered it in mild and it came with just a slight spiciness and a bit sweet. We also ordered a papaya salad pork belly combo. It was excellent with plenty of green leaves to wrap the pork belly. The seating area was decorated with funky Christmas items as it tried to resemble a street cafe in Thailand (minus the mosquitoes). The service was friendly but very slooooow. It only had two servers for a full house, but in all fairness, it was probably because it was on the day of Christmas. Maybe we will try it again. No parking lot for this place, so it may be difficult unless you eat very late.

Food was horrible and the workers were super rude when I asked for it to be replaced

Еда неплохая, но до такой как в Таиланде немного недотягивает.

Outstanding Thai food!

Diner Review №9

We got takeout from Pattaya this evening. Everything was just ok. The cashew chicken was very greasy and on the bland side. The papaya salad tasted basically like just plain papaya because it barely had any flavor. The container it came in also had a huge wedge of raw cabbage taking up half the container to provide the illusion of more food but in reality there was very little papaya in the container. The pad thai was ok but not really anything I would go back for. Also, Nothing we ordered came with rice. Since I ordered online it wasn’t clear if it was supposed to come with it or not but I would at least expect it with the red curry.

This restaurant definitely is not worth visiting. Plus for the cost I expected better food.

Diner Review №10

Not sure if this place is under new management but it was a decent place up until now. The main issue amongst many is for some reason this time there wasn’t enough spice and the food was a little bland so I asked for some chili sauce to-go which I have done plenty of times before (referring to the sauces that are always on the table for customers to use free of charge) the server said they “now” charge to-go customers for the sauces they give other customers for free then mentioned that all Thai places have this rule in place which I know isn’t true because I’m a local I eat Thai food frequently and I’ve eaten here before. A few other things that were upsetting was the fact that my food wasn’t made the way I ordered it (which has happened before) and the staff wasn’t friendly
Not sure what’s the issue is here but it feels like I was being discriminated against so I would watch what you are being charged and how you’re being treated here . The quality has decreased sad to say. I wouldn’t eat here again..there are 50+ Thai places in the same area

Diner Review №11

I've noticed a lot of restaurants on island will advertise heat but then the spice will be mild. Not the case here!

Diner Review №12

Love this place! Come here all the time. Voted best Thai food for a reason!!! Pad Thai, curry, drunken noodles.. 😋🤤 so good

Diner Review №13

Second time back and it was just as good as the first. The staff were friendly and observant. They have various heat levels but medium seemed to lack spicy. Street parking for this location. The seafood drunken noodles had a lot of flavor. The chicken long rice and vegetables and glass noodles. It was hearty. You can request for the spicw rack if needed.

Diner Review №14

Walked in and ordered red curry with tofu. I got home and it was red curry with chicken. I waited 25 minutes for the order. I’m new to the neighborhood but don’t think I’ll be retuning. Chicken was gross and undercooked. I asked for spicy and there was none.

Diner Review №15

This place used to be good until they started using imitation crab in their fried rice…

Diner Review №16

Rather than provide the expected soy milk we were provided almond milk for the same price. Food was great and tasted great but we reluctantly agreed to this substitution.

Diner Review №17

Went on a Wednesday night so I can't judge the atmosphere but it looks like it would be a cool atmosphere. Besides that, the food was excellent. One of the best thai spots I've ever had. Must try!

Diner Review №18

The evil, yellow and Penang curry was amazing! The chicken pad Thai was so good! Great service and a wonderful atmosphere on the back patio.

Diner Review №19

Best pad Thai! Service was awesome too. Thanks Yaya, so nice to meet you.

Diner Review №20

근처 파타고니아와 그림벽화 보러왔다가 빵종류에 물려서 들어간 타이음식점입니다. 규모 작구요... 쏨탐이 기가 막히게 맛있었어요.

Diner Review №21

This is a neighborhood gem. They've been in the neighborhood for years now, but this location had only been their spot for a couple years now. The food is always 100% delicious. The atmosphere is sorta what you're looking for in a south east Asian joint with authentic flavors. Don't mind the pleather seats or the mis-matching decor. It's perfect. Service is hit or miss, but that's OK, too! I wouldn't bring a first date here, but I would absolutely bring a bunch of friends, especially my food-loving friends. I would definitely bring out of town guests who want something off the beaten path, too.

Diner Review №22

Checkout the back 'yard' & event venue in the back. Live music on Thurs. Karaoke nightly. Good ppl hang here. Reasonably priced.

Diner Review №23

Very caring and attending nice waitress ( forgot to ask her name …to recognize her she had tattoos) who came out to inform me where to park etc … Food is amazing … Evil curry was excellent, clear distinction between different kind of curries …. Mango sticky rice was so yummy…
Other than being in a dingy building , it is a great place….

Diner Review №24

Such a great restaurant. Amazing food omg! The basil Thai fried rice is a must try! Had a wonderful time here! The staff and owner are so nice. Made us dance and we had a lot of fun!

Diner Review №25

Good Thai restaurant. Did a takeout order of larb, evil curry, and drunken noodles. Everything tasted great and with decent portion sizes for the price. Spice levels are customizable and medium gave a nice heat.

Diner Review №29

Come here if you are looking for the best Thai! So flavorful and authentic. The food here is amazing! I keep coming back.

Diner Review №30

Ordered delivery, small portions bill was $81 for 3 items and then when the food came they made it so spicy hot that it was impossible to eat, we threw away all the food so disappointing, I requested refund and they refused

Diner Review №31

Diner Review №32

Delicious, amazing, go there now! My friend and I both had the steak and it was great…and the Thai iced coffee was just what I needed, too! The atmosphere and staff were very welcoming.

Diner Review №33

Nice spot With simple food and quick service.

Diner Review №34

We ordered green curry and it was definitely re-heated 😅the meat tasted so weird and my stomach was uncomfortable…

Diner Review №35

I can’t believe I paid 60 dollars for the smallest containers of food. Thai sausage, Thai beef jerky and pad gra prow! I will never in life ever order from them again! The amount of food I should have gotten for 60 dollars should have been enough for 2-3 ppl it’s barely enough for 1 person! Absolutely disrespectful to ppls hard earned money!

Diner Review №36

Diner Review №37

Authentic Thai food at a great price. The cashew chicken with sticky rice was delicious! Casual atmosphere, great service with karaoke available!

seriously the best food I’ve had all year. Anytime I had takeout, I would come here. It’s been a year since I’ve visited this restaurant and I still miss it and think about it. Please come here if you are in Honolulu!!

Diner Review №44

Great food. Service at lunch was fine. Reasonable prices but definitely on spicy side like genuine Thai BUT you can order less spicy option!

Diner Review №45

It was great!

Diner Review №46

I cannot stop coming back here. The vibe is so chill and homey, and the food is quick, hot, and delicious. When you order hot, they give it hot. I'm never happier to sweat out the deliciousness than behind a plate of Drunken Noodles and Papaya Salad Thai-style at Pattaya Thai.

Diner Review №53

We’ve walked by many times. Decided to take out tonight after climbing practice. It was so good! Fresh, lots of veggies, great portion sizes, easy to order online and so friendly at pick up. This is a GEM of a Thai restaurant. I wish we lived closer!

Diner Review №54

Staff were really friendly, and we loved the food. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The staff went out of their way to make sure that every item we got fit our requests and dietary restrictions, which is far too rare.

Diner Review №55

What an amazing find in Honolulu. Amazing Thai food as well as friendly and great service! They can make all their items as 'vegan' and that is something we really appreciated. We loved the place so much, we went there twice in 3 days!

Diner Review №56

I paid 44 dollars for Uber eats for ONE entire of yellow curry and you couldn't even include RICE?! I even called and asked!? Cheap greedy service

Diner Review №57

Diner Review №58

Diner Review №60

Pattaya is the most best restaurant. Panang Curry, Green Curry, and Pad Thai are my favorites. Staff is always THE BEST. Great regulars if you want to sit at the bar and have a conversation. Or not, whatevs. BYOB, fyi.

Diner Review №61

BEST THAI FOOD ON THE ISLAND.

Just go and you’ll see how awesome this place is. They have everything you want all in one spot. Karaoke, food, outdoor front seating, outdoor backyard seating, bar seating, regular seating, amazing cooks and amazing servers. The owner is beyond fantastic and it’s always party time. Everyone here is friendly, the food is excellent and I always leave happy. Prices are more than affordable and reasonable. They close late as well. There’s street parking all around.

***Do not got to elephant shack around the corner from this place. I’ve been there and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The food sucked and customer service was terrible.***

Diner Review №62

Diner Review №63

Diner Review №75

Diner Review №76

Really great Thai food and a fun little karaoke restaurant. I've only been here for lunch, but the karaoke kicks up at night. Don't miss this spot if you are craving authentic Thai dishes. All the cooks are Thai/Issan so you know you went to the right place 😉

Diner Review №77

Diner Review №78

Diner Review №79

Diner Review №80

Great food, loved that it stays open late.

Diner Review №81

What a great find! I just happen to drive by this place, and looked them up on Yelp. It looked good, so I gave them a chance. It was great chance despite the layout and location.

I really don't care for the area. Parking is difficult, it is hot, and just not a pleasant area, but this place is worth the effort. At first, when you walk in, it throughs you off with the large bar that dominates the room. All you need to know is that the food is really good.

I orded the Thai Iced Tea and Yum Woomsen. The tea was so pretty with the way they served it, still not mixed, but with the layers of liquids still in their pour swirls. For the Yum Woomsen, which is a warm seafood salad with noodles, I ordered Thai Hot!. Finally a place that knows how to use chilies. The salad was amazing and the chilies heat perfect.

This place is one that I will defiantly be back to try more!

Diner Review №82

Delicious! Summer rolls, Panang curry, and Royal noodles were excellent. Very flavorful. We’ll be back!

Diner Review №83

Open late great food

Diner Review №84

The food is awesome! Karaoke option is cool also. One of the best Thai places to eat! 💯

Diner Review №85

Quick service. Nice location/atmosphere. Prices were about what you expect for Hawaii. The flavors were there. We ordered the royal noodles with beef. Portions were small. Not as spicy as we thought. They had mild, med, hot and Thai hot. We ordered hot. Should have ordered Thai hot.

Diner Review №86

Diner Review №87

This Thai restaurant is really good. The food flavor, portion size and price are great. The atmosphere is very chill and it was easy to find street parking and walk to it.

Diner Review №88

My water broke there so this place will always be in my heart! Didn't get to finish that dinner, but we went back there two days after delivery, and the food is delicious! Drunken noodles with Calamari, Thai fried rice, evil curry! 10/10!

Diner Review №89

Unbelievable. My second attempt to try to get dinner at this place since I always walk by it from the gym. Me and my gf sat outside with our dogs and waited for the guy to give us menus and drinks for ten minutes while he wipes the bar counter inside. Perhaps it's better to sit inside to catch their attention. Not sure. We waited for over an hour until I finally went inside to talk to the lady who was cashiering and asked her why it's taking so long. Instead of apologizing her response was that they only had one cook. I wasn't looking for any comps because we ordered a big meal (we were very hungry) and they didn't even start on our order. No apologies, no comps, no nothing. As a customer with some business sense, I highly advise to hire more workers especially on Friday nights and the weekends. As the busiest times, families not only want to enjoy a good meal but also a good service. Tell your waiters to not be afraid to check on each individual tables especially if they are sitting outside. Sounds to me like the food isnt the issue here... it's the service. Never again.

Diner Review №93

Loved it when it was at the previous location.

My experience today was awful. I walked in and there is a sign that showed lunch specials. I ordered the chicken basil with rice.

When I got my order, it was clearly NOT chicken. I cook Thai food and I know what chicken looks and tastes like. This was ground pork. I asked the waitress for the correct order and she insisted that is was chicken. The dish itself was tasty but they would not accept their mistake or even try to correct it.

In rush, I finished my food and asked for my bill. They over charged me by 25%. I pointed out that I got the lunch special and the waitress rudely said... No, that's not the price.

Rude service
Wrong order
Over charged me
Did not honor the price listed
Did not try to correct mistakes
Did not even acknowledge mistakes

NEVER COMING BACK.

Diner Review №94

This little Thai restaurant was amazing! We live in L.A. and this tops anything I’ve had in the past. Highly recommend!

Diner Review №95

authentic Thai food. good location, good service, clean, reasonable prices. Street parking in neighborhood.

Diner Review №96

As I walked into the restaurant, I was met with a less than welcoming greeting, being yelled at as I entered by the unfriendly male waiter. However, my mood quickly changed as soon as I took my first bite of the excellent food. While the female owner spoke English, I found it a bit difficult to understand. When I asked for recommendations on popular dishes, the response of "everything" was not very helpful. It took some persistent questioning, but I was eventually able to get her to recommend some standout dishes. For appetizers, I highly recommend the pork jerky, Thai sausage, crispy rice salad, and larb, but would suggest skipping the papaya salad. As for mains, the pad see ew, pad prik gaeng, panang curry, and pad gra-prow were all outstanding. But the absolute highlight of the meal was the mango sticky rice for dessert - it was simply the best thing in the world. While the lack of a friendly host and Thai ambiance was a bit disappointing, the quality of the food more than made up for it. Overall, I give this restaurant five stars for their fantastic cuisine.

Diner Review №97

Good food and open late.

Diner Review №98

Had the Thai fried rice with chicken and it was delicious. Their homemade hot sauces were great as well. A little on the price side basically all entrees start at $15.

Diner Review №99

Diner Review №100

Really quaint spot for Thai! The service is efficient. The food is served promptly. It is a great spot if you’re looking for a quick, casual inexpensive delicious meal In Honolulu.

Diner Review №101

Diner Review №102

Great authentic thai. Not too sweet like Americanized Thai food. Penang curry and larb were very satisfying. The heat is good, hot is hot and you will feel it the day after. If you are a fire eater then they have Thai hot. Pricing was totally reasonable. Overall a fantastic neighborhood restaurant for Thai, I'll definitely be back.

Diner Review №103

Excellent spice. Lots of flavor. Ate here on consecutive days. That good.

Diner Review №104

If I could give 6 stars, I would definitely do that. Delicious food, great people and nice atmosphere.

Diner Review №105

Fresh food! Comfortable atmosphere! sweat and sour sauce is unique

Diner Review №106

Beat thai ever!!

Diner Review №107

Will DEFINITELY come again! All the dishes were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Very chill atmosphere also. You can park at the Anytime fitness and pay via qr code posted in the parking spots. Server was amazing!!! You MUST try the fried roti dessert, delicious!!!!!

Diner Review №108

Worst experience ever just came all the way from Honolulu just to not get served sat at the table for 25 minutes and the waiter never came to us with what we wanted to eat! Don't waste your time! Poorest service in the art district!

Diner Review №109

Diner Review №110

So pleasantly surprised! I see this every time I visit the climbing gym and it always looked empty so I didn’t have high expectations. Also, being Thai, it’s been very difficult to find authentic Thai places around Oahu.. this place tastes great! Price is reasonable compared to other Thai places/Oahu restaurants, loved the Karaoke touch which reminds me of popular restaurant and bars in Thailand. I also appreciate the presentation of the food and their tray of seasonings if you ask for it (just like in Thailand). I met the sweet Thai owner and realized that it’s the same Pattaya Thai and that her previous location had damage from fire.. The location is hard to find (at the end of a quiet street) and parking is rough in the area so I can see this being why it’s a bit quiet.. but I’d keep coming back!

Diner Review №111

Great customer service! We got a chicken fried rice and pad gratiem with chicken, I eat very spicy so be aware when you say when you want it spicy because they don’t play with their spicyness. Food was so good, I had to go back again! 10/10 would recommend!

Diner Review №112

Great late night spot, Tom Kha and Evil Curry were bomb!

Diner Review №113

Pattaya Thai is a must-visit for those looking for authentic Thai cuisine in Honolulu. The new location on Ilaniwai Street is a great place for a date or catching up with friends. The restaurant has been voted Hawaii's Best Thai Restaurant, and it's easy to see why. With every dish crafted with love in the kitchen, you can truly taste the real Thai flavors in the food. The restaurant is BYOB until they get their license finished, but it's definitely worth it. The team at Pattaya Thai is passionate about sharing their love for food and inviting guests to come try it out for themselves. An online ordering option is also available. Give Pattaya Thai a try and see what authentic Thai food is all about!

We got the cashew chicken, spring rolls and mango sticky rice dessert.

Diner Review №114

Diner Review №115

Great little place to grab some good Thai food. Service was great! Had some drunken noodle, thai hot, and it was great! Sorry, forgot to take some pics. Spring rolls were great too. Very reasonably priced!

Diner Review №116

Drunken noodles w 🍤 🦐 🍤 for the win

Diner Review №117

The spicy is not the spiciest but the taste it exquisitely scrumptious. The Thai Tea is enough to wipe the fire from your mouth while you ask for Hot 🔥 and spicy.

Diner Review №118

Diner Review №119

Diner Review №120

This is a hidden little gem. They prepared really tasty vegan food at our request. They can make almost all dishes on the menu vegan/vegetarian. One of the best drunken noodles I had. The hosts are friendly too.

Diner Review №121

Good, fast, open late.

Didn’t love the Panama curry with tofu as my order—not a big portion and skimpy on the tofu, lots of cabbage and green beans which aren’t my favorite. The flavor was good. Rice doesn’t come with curries and has to be ordered separately. I’ll try something else next time.

Diner Review №122

Hole in the wall, but good fresh food at reasonable prices.

Diner Review №123

It was late Sunday night and I wanted some Thai food. Googled late night Thai food and Pattaya Thai popped up! I had never been there and thought it was a new place. It replaced Cooke Street Diner which had been there for decades.

The place was decorated for Halloween so it was pretty cool! It was kind of dark inside, so it added to the vibe. Dining al fresco was also offered.

The waitress was very friendly and informative. We ordered beef salad, tom yum, drunken noodles and stir fried eggplant. The food was great! In talking with the waitress, I found out they were originally on Queen Street. I remember the sign, but never ventured in there. I wish I went there sooner! I like the place, especially for late night eats, and will be back.

Diner Review №124

Amazing!

Diner Review №125

Delicious Thai food, and the coolest owner in Hawaii (he’s so friendly).

Diner Review №126

Got the stir fried vegetables with chicken during lunch…spice level-hot. Great portion, not as spicy as I like it, but very good quality vegetables and prepared quickly. The server was extremely friendly and helpful. Rice was an extra $3, but understandably so. Will definitely be returning to try other dishes. Great location and the hours are amazing.

Diner Review №127

Family place with a cool design! When I was there, they were outfitted for Halloween, with candy for the keiki on every table! I stole one myself. My evil curry was good, but not Thai hot like I wanted. Still had a good time. A cool place!

Diner Review №128

Everything we had here was delicious and fresh! The staff was super friendly, great spot.

Diner Review №129

Diner Review №130

Diner Review №131

We had the yellow curry, cashew chicken and sticky rice. All amazing. Best cashew chicken I've ever had. No alcohol at this location. It's byob (bring your own beer) I'd suggest a better drink menu and bigger water cups but besides that, amazing food.

Diner Review №132

Great food and good service.

Diner Review №133

I had the Pad Gratiem. It was super yummy. They are open 11 am to 12 am.. plenty of time to get some really good food. Service was quick. Everyone was super nice. It was a random stop for dinner-totally worth it !

Diner Review №134

Delicious!!! Also they have Karaoke, a bar , and they're in the center of Honolulu next to work play! Highly recommend after a night out!!!

Diner Review №135

The food here wasn’t bad but I don’t think I would go back. Service was slow, food came out one at a time so we ended up eating family style instead of our specific ordered meals. The foods flavors were good. I’d definitely stick with the Pad See Ew or drunken noodles. Skip the fish cakes.

Diner Review №136

Panang Curry (medium spiciness) was amazing! Definitely give it some time to cool off so you can enjoy it. Service was excellent!

Diner Review №137

Great location and even better panang curry. Will definitely swing thru again.

I was craving for Thai food and this Restaurant was fabulous.
Right now it's BYOB and there's a corkage fee.
You can sit inside or outside by the sidewalk or another outside area in their lanai.
Yuri and her crew cooks delicious meals...made to order. I am glad that they ask you how spicy you want it. Thais love it hot, but it's too hot for me!
The menu is quite large. And just reading the descriptions of each item makes my mouth water. You bet I'm coming back.

Came in for an early-ish lunch (11:30) on a Saturday, no wait for a table. We ordered the stir fried eggplant + tofu and pad kee mao with chicken (drunken noodles) and both were delicious and fresh! Stir fry had a refreshing taste of basil and garlic, good balance of sweet, salt, and spice. Plenty of eggplant, which was nice. Noodles had a tasty sauce and good amount of veggies. If you're looking for a simple and fresh Thai meal, check this place out! The vibe seems more fitting for nighttime, so I'm hoping to come back in the evening (and make use of the BYOB🙃)
