Family-owned Thai restaurant
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Thai Food!
I rarely write reviews, but Erawan Thai deserves one! The Tom Kha soup was bursting with aromatic flavors, and the Panang Curry was the BEST I've ever had – smooth, flavorful, and utterly delicious. Compliments to the chef! The service was also amazing; the servers were observant and attentive to our needs without being intrusive. I'll definitely be back to explore the menu. Highly recommend!
We visited this restaurant for dinner on New Year’s Eve to celebrate a friend’s birthday as a group of seven. I ordered the Spicy Jungle Chicken with brown rice but was disappointed with the dish. The chicken was overcooked and chewy, and the flavors of the spices didn’t blend well. However, my brother ordered the Drunken Noodles, which were excellent, and a few others in our group had the Basil Fried Rice, which was also very good.
Overall, the experience was decent. While the food didn’t leave a lasting impression, it might be worth a one-time visit. On a positive note, their Thai tea was delicious, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.
Great place to explore some good Thai food. The basil chicken fried rice was good with the right amount of spice, the drunken noodles were a bit on the soggy side, where I would expect it to be a bit more dry and more flavorful. Overall a good place for some nice Thai cuisine. Will be back to try out other dishes.
My family's favorite takeout place. Delicious food. Vegan 🌱 options. Friendly staff. They do a great job of writing each person's name on their respective container if you ask for it. Everyone in my huge family loves ordering here. 😀 We just wish they improved their online ordering system so that the buyer could share one link with his whole family and have every person use their own phone to choose what they want for dinner and add it to the same order (and have the food labeled with their name).
I had read good reviews and I’ve been wanting to try it for months, and finally remembered to stop by.
The ding room is nice, clean, and organized, but not classy; it’s appropriate to the menu pricing of around $18. Service was fast and helpful.
We enjoyed two shrimp dishes that were quite flavorful, and perfect at “medium” spice.
We will definitely revisit soon.
Tried this place after hearing good reviews.
Definitely good service and ambience.
Food didn’t really make the cut for me. The oil used was not fresh likely reused. The food had an after taste. I expected more quality from this place. Good portions
Overall disappointed as I was very excited to try this place.
We had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Erawan Thai! The food was incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented, with standout dishes like the Pa-Nang with Shrimp. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for the friend's and family occasions. We can't wait to return soon!
Our family LOVES this the food at Erawan Thai! So many favorites on the menu from curries to noodle dishes, you cannot go wrong. My favorite dish is the Spicy Catfish. They also offer wonderful desserts, #1 all time best is the mango sticky rice, but the coconut cake is also next-level… HEAVENLY! Don’t take my word for it, try it for yourself.
Excellent non-assuming Thai restaurant. I live in Cumming and the drive is so worth it.
Mongolian Beef is my favorite. fried pot stickers are good to start.
Amazing service, wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, big servicing sizes. Kinda pricy but very good appetizers, entrees, and sides.

I am a vegetarian and felt so thoughtful about the restaurant but there were many vegetarian options and the food was really delicious.I strongly recommend this restaurant.

The food was great! I ordered Chicken Pad Thai and some Tom Yum Soup. The food had the right amount of spice and flavor. The service was great as well. I will eat there again!
Food was excellent, service was pretty good. Could have done without the rushed approaches but it’s okay as these things happen. Plan on coming back and recommend this place for sure.
Been to Erawan Thai now few times. Erawan is able to make vegan food on request for most items (Some Exceptions such as Soup and Pad Thai can't be made vegan as per them). You can feel freshness in veggies (not mushy). We tried Curry, Stir Fry, Rice and noodles. I found spice level varying a bit ; Spice Level goes from 1 to 4 (4 being hottest). We tried 3 and it was very spicy for us. I would suggest to order level 2 or less and order spices on side if you want to try more hot.

I would highly recommend this restaurant! Food is absolutely delicious. Best Thai food in the area.
Without exaggeration, the crispy basil duck is my favorite dish from any restaurant in the area.
Really good Thai food and service
great food. very clean
Food was phenomenal and a great value. Best Thai we've had in the area.
This restaurant is fantastic! All the food from Tom yum soup, basil fried rice, and sesame chicken were super tasty and had generous portions. The Thai tea is really good too! Would recommend to anyone as they have plenty of vegetarian options as well.

Amazing food. Best part is it’s fresh, simple and BO overwhelming flavors/ smell. Curry and Tom Kha soup was simply delicious.
Holy deliciousness! Really great first experience here. My friend and I ordered the same dish 2 different ways. Each way was perfectly accommodated! My massaman had beef and I asked for veggies to be added. She did tofu. Spice levels accommodated. The option of brown rice was sooooo awesome and yummy. Even the spring rolls were fresh and full of veggies not cheap noodles. Overall best quality Thai I’ve had in a long while. Also the portion size was very fair for the price point. I hate leaving dinner hungry. Will be back to try more dishes!

Came for their “lunch specials” and while the food was decent, for $15 before taxes and tip I thought I’d at least get an eggroll or soup with my lunch but it was just a smaller portion of the dinner entree. Decent taste but expensive for what you get so I’d probably only come here if in a bind. Plenty of other Thai places around that do lunch specials that’s actually a special!
The cutest little restaurant. The service was great and the food was spectacular and was ready faster than anticipated. Would highly recommend this place!
Best food, Best service, zero wait time with all the tables occupied.
Really good! Glad we stopped in.
Visited with my family today for the first time. Food was delicious, service was great and overall great experience!!! From now on, this will be my go to place for Thai Food
Our order today was horrible. It was chicken fried rice. It was tasting fishy. I called to let them know. They didn't offer a refund. I has ordered since they open.. not anymore.
The food was delicious!
Great food and service!
Very good, nice waitress, fresh food!
It was a great date. We had Pa nang, Tom kha, Nam sod. We will be back.
Friendly. Spice level was the level I requested. Delicious. I had Pa-Nang curry.
This place is great ! Must try it !!! Great food, value menu, great service.
Everything we tried was Exceptional!! Clean welcoming environment, friendly and attentive staff, 10 stars!
When we are in the area we shall be back!
Tried this place after hearing good reviews.
Definitely good service and ambience.

Overall disappointed as I was very excited to try this place.
Best Thai spot in the area for quality, would choose Erawan over Thai Basil Kitchen. A+ food and service, 10/10 satisfaction.
Have been going to this place for the last 4 months and never been disappointed. Very clean tasting and the heat i.e Thai hot is just what I like. They do adjust for my dietary restrictions too.
We have tried the green curry, drunken noodles, ka prow, sticky rice...
Must try!!
This place is always consistently good 👍
Amazing food and very personalized service. Be there once and you will go again
Very average good. Pad kee maw was the worst food. I threw it in trash. Generally I don’t like to waste food, but I had no choice.
This was one of the better Thai restaurants I’ve gone to. The older lady there who I assume to be one of the owners was one of the sweetest people I’ve met. She was super kind to us and treated us super well. I would 1000% recommend coming here
Everyone loved their food. It was very delicious!!
I've been here at least a dozen times and it never disappoints. Simple, no nonsense dining room, great food, and friendly service. Not sure what else to say. One of my go to spots in the neighborhood.
Excellent Food! Good portions I had the red Snapper and it was amazing! I love it ! Satay chicken Very delicious !
Authentic Thai Food ! I have eaten at about 35 o so different Thai Restaurants in my life and this place ranks in the top 3 . The food is the main reason just delicious. The service I appreciate the lady who is the owner is on top of it all. A true Family restaurant hometown feeling. Best Drunken noodle. So I have tried the Red Snapper and that is now my favorite dish here. Awesome I !! Best Best Thai Restaurant in the area not a lot of thrills and frills simple nice comfortable place . But the food is exquisite !!
I never leave reviews, but Erawan certainly deserves all the praise I can offer. This family-run restaurant is well maintained and has a simplified but intricate menu that doesn't intimidate. The flavor was also simple yet deep and was easy on the palate overall. Easily the best Thai food I've had in Atlanta.
Update: Went for lunch with coworkers - Food was only average this time and takes a long time to come out due to being understaffed. I specifically requested for no broccoli in my drunken noodles but it was added (the waitress apologized). Earlier: Very flavorful but will need to kick it up a notch next time - the medium spice level was on the milder side. The rice entres could use some more veggies to balance out the protein.Everything we tried was well made. Definitely adding it to our pickup rotation when we seek Thai close to home.
We really enjoyed the food here. The portion sizes were big and you will definitely leave the restaurant with a doggy bag for sure. The waiters are really patient and advised on the menu options when asked. I would totally recommend this place. Pssst....Do not miss the drunken noodles! ;)
This place is a hidden gem. The service for both lunch and dinner is excellent. Been here multiple times and never had any issues. I am a carnivore but I highly recommend their basil roll. The food is good and service is fast. I definitely recommend trying this place
I was looking forward to eating here based on there reviews ... sadly I was disappointed. I ordered their Chicken Fried rice ... how difficult could that be ... staple item that should bar a good indicator.
Wow ...in a BAD way... basically rice with soy sauce extremely few vegetables, no egg and very little "overcooked" chicken. The worst I've had. Maybe there are items that earned their rating .. hopefully for there sake ...
Won't be back, try another Thai restaurant if you're looking for good Thai food.
Sadly Disappointed
Could be much better !!
I got tricked by the reviews when I wanted to have food from this restaurant. I ordered Chicken Pad Thai & Thai Spicy fried Rice.
The problem is the order taker doesn't know the spice levels for Thai food and finally he said 3 is good . Then, the Pad Thai was dry - Lack of Tamarind sauce ( didn't have the key ingredients , chicken was over cooked , chewy ). Thai spicy fried was even bad. Overall not up to the Standards of Authentic Thai resturant . Still finding the best one in this Area.
Cheers
Very good food!!!
This is hands down our favorite restaurant!
The owners and staff are very friendly and provide great service.
Absolutely try the Crispy Fried Duck or any of the duck dishes!
Just visited again, and Erawan did not disappoint!
Drunken noodles, Satay and Masaman Curry, all were amazing!
When Erawan was in Sandy Springs (before covid), it was my favorite restaurant. I measure all Thai restaurants by it. I am so excited to have found them again. The food is as good as I remember. Best in the Atlanta area!
Food is very tasty and service is good!! We went there looking at good reviews... truly worth the money spent!!
They serve food with all organic vegetables. Fresh and tasty
Great food! We tried Erawan fried rice & Thai fried rice - both were very tasty.
Drunker noodles are so special here but very small portion on Lunch portion. Dinner portion is in a big bowl shaped plate and lunch portion is in a small plate. It sucks.
Erawan Thai is my favorite Thai restaurant here in Georgia! The food is so flavorful and delicious. I've had a couple of the curry dishes and they surpassed my expectations. If you love Thai food and are in the area, you should definitely check it out!
It was highly rated, but I found it decent only.
They are next to Papa Johns, difficult to see from main road or Kroger entrance - I am glad I found them!! First Thai restaurant I’ve found in this part of the country which has the Thai chili rack. Gotta have the Prik Nam Pla! Excellent service and flavor and portions were great. Had the chicken Tom Kha soup and Massaman curry with veggies, yum!
Goo
We enjoyed their fresh and yummy food. Our order came a bit late but worth waiting :)
Erawan is our go to Thai restaurant. Always consistent in taste and quality of ingredients. We love the red curry, drunken noodles and pineapple fried rice. Unlike some restaurants the spice level is exactly what we like. Service and ambience is pleasant.
Our meal was excellent
Really enjoyed the pad se ew and crab rolls. Basil fried rice was a bit bland. Would get takeout from here again.👍🏽
Great Thai place!
I've been going to Erwan Thai for the past two years my dad went there once and took us all one day it was good and if we ever want thai food we go to erwan thai. We've tired the tofu tod, garden roll, shrimp in bikini, satay, spring roll, gyoza, tom yum, tom kha, thai fried rice and drunken noodles so far and they were all so good. Thai tea is must try. The Price is worth the quantity, quality and TASTE.
Good Thai food in town! Quick service and attentive staff.
I had a great experience at the Erawan Thai restaurant! The drunken noodles, Tom Kha and dessert were both excellent. Highly satisfied!
Food was great.
The food is good but the wait for food is too long especially during crowded days.
Good place to dine. However serving alcohol would be bring in more people, including our GROUP, that was there that day. At least BEER & WINE.
I went here multiple times but never really know how the Thai food tastes in general and this review is based on generic food lover.
Below are the items I ordered and their ratings
Chicken Satay - 10/10,
Spring Rolls - 10/10 - Complimentary,
Basil Fried Rice with Chicken Thai Hot - 10/10,
Red Chicken Curry with Brown Rice Medium Spice - 9/10,
Green Chicken Curry with Rice Low Spice - 9/10,
Chicken Drunken Noodles - 6/10
Always hate giving average reviews, but given the many Thai restaurants we've been to over the past 20 years, this was very average. The good - the fresh summer rolls were delicious, our server (owner?) brought out a special GF sauce for my wife which she really liked.
The not so good - Tom Yum soup lacked the sourness that's normally associated with it. Chunks of veggies/chicken were too big and the broth was really just salty (didn't taste lemongrass or any type of lime). My wife had the GF chicken fried rice and was disappointed that it lacked any type of flavor. My Panang curry was ok - had plenty of beef but lacked flavor. With the many choices of Thai restaurants north of Atlanta, we will be checking others out before we'd return here.
Nice place. Good food. We enjoyed it.
Perfect place for the best Thai Food.Amazing, friendly staff who helped with all our needs. Dumplings 🥟 and Chicken Satay were a great start. Pineapple fried rice was Cooked to perfection. Kid loved the Chicken Noodles 🍜. Green Curry was spicy and yummy 🤤 Don’t miss out the Thai Iced Tea. A must visit place.
1st time eating at this restaurant.
Being Thai, I had my doubts since most Thai restaurants are to American flavored instead of orthentic Thai. This restaurant was pretty close to the taste. I ordered
Pad gra prow (Thai basil beef) and Tom Yum soup. The soup was on point, just the right amount of spice and sour. Pad gra prow I had to ask for fry egg (this dish should be served with one fry egg on top of diah). It was a little sweet for my taste, but next time I go , I will ask not to add sugar. The server was wonderful, and the restaurant was very clean.
Be aware of the raw meat! They served raw chicken, Sate and my little 4 years ate that. As soon I saw it, I was shocked. How could they serve raw meat? My little one complained about her stomach ache. It's fully pink in the middle. More chicken pieces were sent to the kitchen. Hope my daughter doesn't get sick.
I have passed by this restaurant for the past 3 years and finally decided to give it a try.
First off, I have to commend the staff for always being so welcoming and attentive to all my needs. It gives me the comfort of knowing my money is well spent here and just a pleasant atmosphere all around.
2nd, the food here is absolutely amazing. They promote being organic and using quality ingredients for their dish. I did not think much of this and thought maybe it was just a sales tactic to upsell the food. However, I am so wrong. I can taste the ingredients freshness and the quality of the ingredients. I've eaten many dishes from here and still have not been disappointed.
If you are in the mood for some quality Thai food, do yourself a solid and stop by here. Try their curry duck! It is a wonderful sleeper!
It's family restaurant . Food is fresh and tasty. Service is quick.
This place is my favorite Thai place. My wife and I go there almost every week. The food is fantastic and natural. The service is even better.
I've been going to both locations since 2019. It's my favorite Thai spot.
Food was good. Would buy again when in the area.
I really enjoyed the food & I am surprised I’ve missed this restaurant. The Thai curry noodles with tofu was excellent especially for those that are vegetarians. They were helpful & even though I did get takeout place looks great. I will continue to eat here. I hope whoever goes enjoy themselves.
Very good Thai food. We will definitely be back.
Ordered delivery with Uber.
The food was delivered hot and it was delicious.
The spring rolls were perfect, the nam sod was spot-on, shrimp Pad Thai was amazing, and the Thai Hot Green Curry w/Jasmine rice was over the top.
Respect their heat levels! 🙂👍
We ordered Pineapple Fried Rice for togo and I felt they just made something in a hurry. There is not much flavor and the quantity for $17+ is very less compared to the Thai restaurant right across Erawan Thai.
We used to eat at the Thai restaurant across the street but slowly their dishes started to decline. So we decided to give Erawan Thai a chance. Sure enough their food was fantastic. So we are making this our go to Thai restaurant. I will say, the actual restaurant is not as inviting, but usually we are ordering to go, so it doesn't make a difference to us.
Overall it was pretty good. Food came out quickly and service was great. We got the pineapple fried rice, panang curry, and green curry. The fried rice felt a bit too oily and the panang curry tasted a bit different from other panang curry that I've had. Would have given it a 5 stars if not for the oily rice and curry.
This restaurant is outstanding. We had a great dinner here last week. Now, it’s takeout tonight. Service is excellent. Food is great and well priced. 5-star!
Quality of ingredients and preparation are always excellent. We typically do takeout, which is always on time and we’ll packaged. Dine in service is also good, although the dining room is a bit spartan and drink options are limited. Once we found Erawan Thai, it was impossible to go back to our previous restaurant haunts in the area. The quality is just much better.
we loved the food here. I would like to recommend others.
Great thai food, but service for dine-in is extremely slow. I would highly recommend doing a take out from this place.
It was a take out. It's a family owned restaurant. Great customer service and excellent food
The food was absolutely delicious.
Everything came out hot and the service was the best!
I would definitely come again.
Soooo good. The drunken noodles were incredible and the beef was cooked so well, not dry, like other Thai places. Want to come back again and again.
Our second visit and it still wasn’t good. I thought it might have been a fluke that I got sick after the first time. The reviews were so good so we tried again. But the 2nd time I got sick too. The massaman curry was just meat and large chunks of potato and the red curry noodle was spicy but mushy. Not sure what the rave reviews are all about.
The Massaman curry was not good. Taste was strange with big unpeeled potatoes in it. The noodle dish we had was mushy. Never again
Yummy food, service is quick, staff is excellent. The staff is always friendly and the food is always delicious. I really enjoyed the Tom Yum soup. We ordered Red curry, Basil Tofu fried rice. It was really delicious and in good quantity. Only one warning is Careful about spicy levels before ordering .Parking available, veg options available is plenty.
Currently the best authentic Thai food around Johns Creek.
Delicious food, kind and friendly staff, not too crowded. We often order the Thai Jungle and it's still probably my favorite menu item. We'll be back soon!
Ok food not great , very clean place , ,friendly staff. Ordered pan nang curry - it was watery ,, like pang nang soup. Other ordered entrees we're good.
Average taste but very expensive
Absolutely lovely! So clean and fresh. Service was great and the food was perfect. Large Pad Thai lunch portion was delicious as well as the Green Curry!
Great food and amazing service. We love this place
Excellent service. Great quality. Amazing food. Will definitely come back again. They take good care for Vegetarian options!!!
Awesome food! Service was very good. Very attentive.
Friendly service, low key location, and fresh flavorful Thai food. def going back
The quantities were good, we ordered drunken noodles and pad thai.. they both were on the sweeter side.. which we did not enjoyed.. the prices are also more as compared to other places, which is okay as long as the food tastes good
Been here 3 times now, every time was incredible. The coconut soup with chicken is amazing, some of the best I've ever had no question. The cheese rolls were perfect and had amazing texture. The pad thai is always mind blowing, especially with the beef and a little extra spice on the side. I could easily eat here multiple times a week 🔥👍🔥
Our favorite pick up night! Always amazing fresh food!
Delicious food
Been there 2 times and really enjoyed the food. Family operated and good service.
Prices are high. The food is good

-----------
Awesome food, so we went back to order again.
They use right amount of oil and spice. It was just perfect. Not oily at all, like many other Thai places.
Basil fried rice, Phad Thai and Drunken Noodles were brilliant.
4.27.2022.
I don't think that they serve fully organic here.
Food we ordered was so yummy and looked authentic.
Very comfy, neat and clean place.
Their water did not taste like regular cheap tap water that you get in most restaurants.
They provided nice napkins - which tells me that they pay attention to small details.
Friendly staff and quick service.
I do recommend them 👍
Delicious food! This was my first time here and the food was great! The server helped me with a few suggestions and I settled on some curry that was really good!
I had a crispy duck and it was very very dry. They fried it after slicing. Flavor was there I think but I thought I was having a jerky made from a duck, not in a good way.
Extremely delicious Thai food ! Thoroughly enjoyed Chefs special Spicy Udon, Pad Kra Pow and Kang Ped Roasted Duck !
I had the Green Curry very tasty. The food was fresh, cleaner and less salty then most Thai restaurants I have been to.
Their water is filtered and so good, i usually do not drink tap water. So happy we found this place, we will be back to try other dishes.
Food is good, tastes good. It's a nice small restaurant with about 10-12 tables.
Just like many restaurants these days they r also low on staff. Took time to serve the food and could never attend to us to refill water etc. But nice people, no complaints when they r so backlogged on a busy day.
Only concern was that, any food we ordered with tofu had toooooo much tofu. The curry had only tofu, and not much of veggies and curry itself. Noodles also had the same problem.
Please cut down on tofu a bit.
The best Thai place in the area… amazing flavors… the best of the best !
Very tasty and big meal. One of the best Thai I tried so far
One of the best dishes in town ! Awesome flavor and serving portions. Keep going !
