Family-owned nook in a strip mall with an old-world ambiance offering Thai classics & imported beer.
First time I have been here and it was more than I could have hoped for, this place was the best thai restaurant I have ever eaten at. Portions were magnificent and the very best tasting food. Spices were perfect and the service was the most upstanding service. We ordered 4 different meals and not an issue with one. Highly recommend this place!
Negative stars if available. I ordered something as simple as Namsod and got something that tasted like it was cooked with taco packet seasoning and served on a WHOLE BED OF LETTUCE. Portion was next to nothing...what you see in the picture is literally all the meat I got...I couldn't eat anymore after the first bite. And thai ice tea that tasted alot like lipton ice tea but with milk....everything was disgusting and I am not sure if they are compromising ingredients to cut cost and still feel like they can over charge their customers, but I will not be a repeat customer. So if you are ordering thai and expecting thai, you will be disappointed.
I don’t know where this three star review is coming from or how far up your ass you want the service to be, but it doesn’t need to be that attentive. Our order for drinks were taken. We were given a few minutes then we ordered appetizers and entrées and when the food came out, it was delivered hot and fresh. If you’re looking for a mountain of frozen flash fried calamari for $15 go to Pin Wok and Bowl downtown. If you’re looking for fresh, good food go here. As far as “low end locals”, most of us are homeowners and we’re far from “low end” but thanks for that!
Expensive, small portions and very indifferent staff. It's like they could care less whether you're there or not, whether you're happy or not, and if you come back or not. Seems they have some locals from the lower end area that sustain them. Good for them for that, but they wasted my time and $43 for take out for 2 people with basics. We won't return.
This is the best taste of Thai food in Tampa Bay. I've enjoyed their menu for over 20 years.
Check them out. You will love it!

Food is extremely affordable (~$12) and tastes excellent. The pad thai, pad see ew, and roast duck are all prepared very well and flavorfully. Staff is attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is cozy. Free rice (as much as you want)! Spices that come with the roast duck are also very good.

The best- cashew chicken is so good I rarely try anything else!
Good Thai restaurant with great service in the Gateway area of St. Petersburg.
Great service and food

Delicious, fresh and fabulous. Not frozen at all. Perfect amount of spice for medium pad thai.

took almost an hour just for the food to come out and the food was overly sweet. Portions are way too small for it’s price.
Please avoid this place at all costs, customer service is horrible, there is a cocky, always irritated guy that works in the front, he does everything to deny servicing you correctly! And you have to ask for and pay extra for sauce that should come with your order. Rice is very dry, this is almost a neighborhood Chinese restaurant
One of the very best family owned and absolutely delicious Thai restaurants in Pinellas county. They have the best Panang Chicken! They are super nice and entrees are delightful.

Just what we were looking for on a week night. Friendly personal service while being with friends. Always good always friendly and best of all the acoustics are quiet enough that friends can have fun conversations and be heard.
This is the best taste of Thai food in Tampa Bay. I've enjoyed their menu for over 20 years.

Always delicious food here.
Family owned. Made fresh. Best Thai food.
Perfect place to take
Girlfriend. Who pay. And u pay at nite.
The noodles I just ate were so dry it was like my first try in college making spaghetti. It tasted like nothing, and the chicken was even drier, almost jerky tier. The Tom Yum is simply not Tom Yum, as this is sweet, not vibrant, with hardly a hint of lemongrass and full of mushrooms and… more mushrooms. May give it one more try but so disappointed with the first go.
Love this place! We've been eating at this restaurant for many years. Lovely people, family owned.
Some of these reviews amaze me. I now live in Clearwater but have traveled the world and USA many times. I have been to many restaurants in Pinellas county and this is by far the best. Someone said it is overpriced. I don't know what cheap dump they are used to eating in, but nothing about Thai Wok is overpriced. Some others mentioned the food having no flavor. They might want to see their doctor. I have eaten at Thai restaurants all over the USA and world, and Thai Wok is one of the best. Definitely the best in Florida. There is one in Hawaii that is competition. Thai Wok goes out of their way to serve you extra rice right on your plate. I never had such good service at any Thai restaurant around the world. Their curry is hands down the best I have ever had. Multiple family members flew in from California. I am taking them to Thai Wok tonight, since all the other bland and unimpressive restaurants I have been to in Pinellas County are no competition. I can't wait to enjoy their food again.
Nice and cozy little restaurant. I've had their Duck (really moist and flavorful), Vegetables and beef, etc. and always get their spring rolls with that yummy sweet sauce. But my favorite is their Chicken Pad Thai. I've tried Chicken Pad Thai at three other Thai Restaurants in Pinellas County (because we met friends in different areas of the county for dinner) and by far Thai Wok's is the BEST. The wait staff are sooooo friendly and they are like family! We've been going there for 20+ years!
Ordered my take out lunch wayyyyyyy over priced food Luke warm and gross wanted spicy noodles no flavor no spice. Paid for my food the guy walked way leaving my PAID food behind the counter then say “ oh I forgot it’s right here though “ first and last time eating here money and food wasted
Food was relatively uninspired, shirking many traditional Thai spices, resulting in bland food. The Tom Yum soup, while containing some shrimp needed lime juice or tomato for acid. The peanut sauce in my dish was also flavorless so I had to add some chili sauce. Not much peanut in the sauce.
We met with friends here for dinner. One of our friends said that this was her favorite Thai place. I beg to differ. She must not go to many Thai restaurants. It was eerily quiet for a Saturday evening, as we were the only ones there. Our appetizer of spring rolls (2) were the size of a middle finger cut into thirds. Our order was delivered in stages with 3 of the 5 served first, then about 5 min later the forth with last person getting served was 10 minutes after others had theirs. Their explaination was weak stating they only had one working the kitchen. My vegetables were soggy with a wierd "fragrance" and overcooked, as were others. It's not a place I'll be back to.
Have you ever wondered if flavorless thai food was even possible? This is the place for you. It’s an insult to even call this a Thai restaurant. We ordered the duck and pad see ew. Pad see ew had “pad thai” style noodles, no Chinese broccoli to be seen, and had never even contemplated the inside of a wok. The sauce was unlike any pad see ew sauce I’ve ever come across, vinegary and overly sweet. Pad see ew should have a smokey, slightly sweet, bitterness.
Moving on to the duck, it’s supposed to be crispy and sauced. We ordered it spicy, yet no flavor to be found. It was worse than standard Chinese takeout, with half the flavor.
Overall, one of the worst meals we’ve eaten in the Bay and that’s saying something.
You cannot beat the value and quality here, it’s so fresh and bright. I had spring rolls today, sake, and Laab. They have THE best Laab in the Tampa St Pete area, I would drive an hour to come here for a craving, easy. (But luckily it’s right off 4th and Gandy!) :)
Food was okay, A bit pricey for the portion they give but i guess that's due to the inflation!
$8.00 worth of Pad Thai for only $15!!! Won’t be back.
We've been coming here for 15+ years. Best Thai in Pinellas County!! (and we've tried several other places). Food is always fresh and tasty. We've never had any issues with service. They are helpful and friendly!
My pad Thai was not good at all. Barely even ate it.
Friendly staff. Healthy food.
Great local business, great food
Give them a try! Support Local businesses!
It was good
This place is yours Thai Mom and Pop place to go. The food is really good. Only one or two people work the entire front end of the restaurant but you won't know it because they are fast, efficient and too kind. I love this restaurant for dine in and take out.
Just watch out for some of the patrons we've experienced some very prejudice patrons who didn't even want my Son and I to sit next to their table and this has happened several times.
Was told the wait would be 10-15 minutes for carry out. Waited almost 45 minutes.
Food was bland. With a 4.6 rating I was looking forward to trying this place but ended up disappointed. Even my boyfriend’s food was bland but you would have thought we got the same dish even though we didn’t.
30 minute plus wait for carry out on a Monday.. food was ok at best
Awesome food, great service. I recommend to give Thai Wok your blessings too.
Consistently good food and good service. We get the pad thai and the red curry. Also enjoy the Masaman curry as well. Portions aren’t huge so grab an appetizer if you’re super hungry like the spring rolls. Sort of a hidden gem. Best Thai in north St pete.
A chicken order with little to no chicken. Good taste but very, very, very small portion.
The service left a lot to be desired. The food was only okay.
Best curry I've ever had!!
This place is a must! I’m head over heels for the curry pops. Do yourself a favor don’t cook, go here. The service is outstanding. Staff is very attentive and the restaurant is adorable! One of my favorites here in St. Pete.
Thai Wok is one of those hidden gems where good food and good cheer is always on the menu! A must-try
Delicious takeout food, but not enough food for the price.
This is our favorite Thai food in the area. It has a cute atmosphere and we also love getting carry out. The staff is super sweet and the food is DELISH. I also think they have fair price points. We order here multiple times a month and can’t get enough!
Fantastic food, lovely staff, amazing experience.
My partner and I found this little gem around the corner from our apartment. It’s become one of our favorite spots to get Thai food. Their noodles and Curry are fantastic! The last time we went, we were one of the only people in the restaurant. It was very cozy and the staff were great! We also enjoy picking up food on lazy nights when we don’t want to cook. Big portions and their food tastes just as great the next day. We highly recommend.
Pad Thai with thai hot spicy was pretty good but the noodles were a little undercooked still crunchy. Great service
I eat here weekly! They never miss. I wish they were open more.
I get the exact same thing every order and they know my order without me even having to say it!
Thailicious!
Excellent food and service whenever we go. Thanks for the curry!
They have the best Penang curry I have had anywhere. It seems to be creamy and just the right amount of spices. The staff, who have been there for years, is very helpful. They have two outside tables, each accommodates four people, if you want to eat outside.
Food was outstanding, highly recommend the Crispy Duck!
This has become our go to Thai place. We drive past at least three others on our way here and it is well worth the few extra miles. The family that runs the place is very friendly and makes us feel appreciated as customers. Not to mention the flavorful food and care taken in prep of the ingredients.
Very poor quality of food only gold. Are you still looking for the very cheap food you can get,
Wonderful food and service. Lots of options and a very friendly staff! Best Thai food in this area by far
Sitting in Colorado and remembered this place from when I lived in the apartments just west of the strip mall it is in back in 2009, 2010. I don't know if it is still the same family of great people or not. But back in the day I ate there or got it to go a LOT. I loved their food and they spiced it up nice and hot for me. I hope it is the same folks but if not, good luck to whoever is running it.
Excellent family-run restaurant. We had the spring rolls, clay pot shrimp, and crispy duck. They were all very good. Highly recommended and we will be back.
This was a pleasant surprise. The decor and music were nice. It just added to the whole experience. First time there and it was worth it. The service was fast and the food was very nice. It's tucked away in a small strip mall area with plenty of parking. Very reasonable prices. We'll be going back to try other menu items.
Family owned business for over 30 years. 2nd generation now running it. We loved the spring rolls and the red curry. You can get it spicy or mild and everything inbetween
Not what I was expecting when I first walked in. The food was fresh, well prepared and tasted amazing. So far everybody I have taken there has wanted to go back, which is fine with me. Only downside I took my fiancé, so now once a month, I have to drive from Orlando to take her there, but I’m still not complaining, because the food is that good.
Takeout experience was quick and seamless. Packaged well for travel and they also provided some extra utensils and other items we needed. The food was as tasteful as expected and held up well considering it was eaten a bit later after pick up. Prices here are also what drew us in too.
Best Thai restaurant in Pinellas County.
Delicious food and excellent service. I recently moved 5 mi away. I've tried the Thai restaurants near me and none of them compare to Thai Wok. I love cashew nut chicken, and at tai wok it's bursting with flavor even though I ask for it without heat. Everywhere else I order it, It's so bland I can barely taste anything. It's worth driving across town to Thai wok.
A 💎 of a place. Had the crispy duck red curry. Just amazing with that much flavor you don't need huge portions. I shared mine and there was plenty left over. Will be coming back over and over again. Great for date night !
Small place with big tasting food. We try to limit ourself to one weekly visit. We do not meet that objective most weeks! If you are in the mood for 5 star food with great service and modest prices, check it out.
Fabulous food and service everytime! Love it!
Everything is amazing and always fresh! Henry has world class customer service! Can’t wait to bring my family and friends here
First time trying Thai food! Ordered the Penang curry and was absolutely delighted. Service was beyond exceptional and the whole vibe of the place is adorable. Highly recommend!
Best Thai food in St Pete, and that is a lot of places. Delicious.
My husband and I have come here 4 times so far, fourth time being tonight! The food is delicious and consistent, anything can be made vegetarian or vegan, and the staff (especially the guy who always waits on us) are so nice and attentive even when they're super busy! I just could not love this place more!
What a great place! My wife and I are from Illinois and are always looking for good Asian food while we travel. This place lives up to their own overview. Delicious entree with fresh vegetables not overcooked. Very comfortable inside. Our host/waiter was the best. Served fast and hot.
Small and cozy but with amazing food and service. The masaman curry did NOT disappoint!!
Good fresh food, good service, clean nice atmosphere. Go to Thai place.
The pad thai had no peanut in it AT ALL, small portions, and the food all tasted either bland or like vinegar
Probably the best Thai restaurant in the area. Every item is made from scratch. Just terrific ! Just wonderful service.
Can't say enough!!!!
Delicious food and great service. Will be back!
Excellent food and service as always!
Delicious vegetarian options, very fresh, friendly service!
Omg! Yum!
The food is incredible and delicious! Everyone is so friendly.
The food is always tasty and the service is friendly. This is a family owned and managed business and they aim to please with great courtesy.
If you want GREAT FOOD this is the place to eat! And it happens to be Thai! Love the place! The BEST THAI food in town! The staff are wonderful as well.
I am so mad at myself for waiting so long to try this place, the spring rolls are amazing. The pad thai is perfect, the lady who gave me my order was adorable. Can’t wait to go back
Website says you are open on Sunday, so we drove over and found you CLOSED.
Very rude woman tried to make me feel guilty for paying with a credit card. Your credit card processing fees are not my concern. Set a credit card minimum policy, if you wish - but don't stand there and try to make me feel guilty.
I will find a new restaurant and I recommend anyone else who doesn't want to be disrespected for paying by credit/debit card do the same.
Bye!!!
Still closed for dine-in. Even California is open for dine-in now! Why do they refuse to open their doors to people who have money to spend there and WANT to dine-in?! The lady was nice and wished they were open. Doesn’t fill my tummy though.
Really good
This place makes an excellent panang curry entree!!
I recommend getting extra sauce to go, to mix with eggs and lo mein noodles for a leftover dinner.
$30 for dinner one night, and dinner the next 🥳🥳🥳
Well worth the price, and made with love ❤️
My wife and I have enjoyed this restaurant for 2 years straight 👍👍👍
I feel really sorry for them, as they are hanging by tooth and nail during Covid. Only open for carry out. Husband and wife really hospitable. The food, though, was really terrible and horribly overpriced. I paid $11 for noodles and 2 pieces of broccoli in a very acrid sauce. The seafood dish was $22! I could have made it for $10. I’m sorry, but I had to throw away a $50 meal
Am amazing restaurant with the best food and service
Oh wow. The Tom Kha Kai soup is the best I’ve had since I was in Bangkok in 2017. Deeeeeeeelicious!!! Great prices, great service, great food. Take out only currently but there is outside seating. I took it over to the bar next door and chowed down. I will be coming back again and again!!!
The Thai food here is great!! It’s always fresh and they are quick in preparing it.. we usually order carry out as we live close to the area but it’s one of my favorite Thai places 🍛🍚
Love the Curry dishes and Nam Sod. Come every week for carry out and bring friends for best Thai in St Pete..
The best in the bay area. Friendly family restaurant.
This place is so tasty and everyone is so genuinely nice. I love this restaurant.
Friendly staff and good food. Spiced to order!
Food was definitely good, portions are very small though. I got a beef with spicy garlic sauce and a Thai ice tea and it was $17 without tip. They don’t seem to be charging tax properly, somehow both my order and the person in front of me was 17 dollars even....seems shady.
This place is a hidden gem. We have come here consistently over the past few years and we have always had wonderful food and service. They are very accommodating to diners that are vegetarian or vegan. I eat here when I used to eat meat and it was delicious but I definitely was not missing out when I became vegan. The Massaman curry is my favorite.
They’re definitely overpriced and small portioned. I mean I paid 13$ for BARELY half a plate? Wow never again. Don’t order the pad Thai unless u want 3 pieces of chicken and two bites of noodles.
They lady at the front, I’m sure owner, is such a sweetheart! She’s so polite, kind and you feel like she’s your sweet nana! During this COVID19 time, it is the opportunity we get to show love and support for our local businesses. Family owned and operated hard working business. Not franchise because we don’t put anything back into the economy. Anyways! The food here is so good! Come check them out
Wonderful people. Best Thai food in St Petersburg. Please try them
Curry is a joke! Not even close to what it should be.
This restaurant has not-so-great food. Maybe their rice is okay, but do not get a noodle dish. I love Thai food, and I have not ever had Thai food quite like this at any of the other Thai restaurants I've visited, and I hope I don't find anything like it elsewhere.
The prices are good ($7-$12 or so for an entree), and they can have the food ready in about 5-8 minutes. The servers are friendly. Besides the taste, it's a good restaurant, but I like enjoying my food over paying little money for quick service.
Delicious food, unbelievably pathetic portions. You're getting about a half a cup of rice and 4oz of protein for $10. I am exactly as hungry now as I was before I ate, ridiculous.
Good food and service as well.
The best stuffed wings everrrrrrrrr!! :)
Food was awesome and service was great!! Glad I decided to come here for dinner tonight. Definitely coming back when I visit again.
Great price reasonable service great
We've been going here for probably 30 years (or however long they've been open). The food is delicious and the service is excellent. Plus it's usually quiet (we have 3 kids, so this is our date night spot).
This has been our favorite Thai restaurant since we moved here in 1997. My favorites: the Red Curry with tofu. In addition to the red curry being homemade, they do something wonderful with the tofu that I’ve never had elsewhere - they’re little fried nuggets of happiness. The Tom Kha Gai is what I crave when I want comfort food. Hubby always gets the Cashew Nut with chicken. And the sticky rice with mango is so wonderful.
We’ve brought family and friends here and all have asked to go back. A great family-run place.
Not a Thai Restaurant. Curry has no coconut milk in it, using powdered curry.
More like Thai Wok Out.
The food was ok but nothing crazy. And it’s very expensive for what you get — the portions are small and I was pretty hungry after. I wouldn’t come here again.
I kept trying to go to this restaurant and unfortunately it was always closed.I finally caught it while it was open few months later and it was worth the wait. It was cute and clean on the inside with wonderful staff that was extremely attentive helpful and quick. This would definitely be a place where you could go if you were looking for a quick meal in a rush. The thai tea was amazing. I had an order of spring rolls and the shrimp pad Thai. Nothing short of absolutely delicious.By the way if you like spicy food please use the garlic chili. Will be coming here for future cheat meals
Fabulous
This food is authentic and delicious. I’m a little skeptical when it comes to most Asian food restaurants as I have many friends and family members that are of different Asian persuasions and I’ve had much home cooking from those families. This is like home cooking! I will be coming back again and again. I would highly recommend.
Excellent service and food is amazing! You can feel the love in the food💜
The food was great
RUN.... DONT WOK!!!
Absolutely awesome place to
Grab great Thai food!!
Very cool decor inside, majorly deceiving from the outside!!
Had the Tom Kai coconut soup wow!!!!' To die for!!
They had amazing Pad Thai just the right amount of spice.
It gets busy around lunch time so early!!
Service is top
Notch!!!
Love it!!!
They provide no eggroll and soup starter. This is practically standard for Thai restaurants. This wouldn't have been a major issue had the portion size of the meal not been measly. The rice was the size of a hockey puck. The tofu was cut into little squares. I got the impression the entire meal came from a bag.
A group of us went for my birthday. Great food, great service. We loved it!
Always great food.
Authentic blend of spices. Food was delicious! Service was outstanding
The food was tasty, but very small portion of rice, need to pay extra to get more rice. 😧
This is the best Thai restaurant I have been at. Have tried many different dishes and they all have been delicious.
Best Thai in St Pete!
It's been a year since last review, service still great, food still tastes very good. However the portions have been shrinking steadily over the past year. Used to leave with leftovers, sadly not anymore.
Very good food, great service.
Always great food and awesome experience!
Hood food
Ecxellent food, good prices, kind staff, cozy location.
This thai restaurant is the best! It feels like you step into Thailand as soon as you enter. Everything here is legit! We have been going here for well over a decade and it has never disappointed us or those we brought with us. I couldnt find any thai food that came close to this in the 8 years I lived in Seattle. Some of our favorite things are the pad thai, masaman curry, spring rolls and thai tea. This will be your new authentic thai restaurant. I highly recommend this place!
Best egg rolls ever. Love the way the menu is arranged, pick a meat then vegetables with a sauce. Meals loaded with fresh vegetables and served by friendly staff.
👍 great
Awesome and delicious food, wonderful environment. Staff is always nice and courteous. I order many things but the phad thai and curry are my favorite. Of course spicy yummy yummy.
Not your typical Thai restaurant. Menu slightly limited, but the food was very good. Their sauces are excellent. The waiter, Henry, was great!
Smallest portion of rice I’ve ever had at any Thai restaurant. What else do you eat spicy curry with? You basically pay for another “portion” that should’ve been given in the first place. Disappointing.
Excellent! Been here so many times I cannot count. Food is always consistent and service is outstanding!
Fantastic service every time. Great food
This place is so good. We finally tried it out as it’s right around the corner from where we live. I had the cashew with shrimp and my husband had the pepper steak. The spring rolls were yummy. Can’t wait to go back.
Amazing food and friendly service! The staff is always friendly and helpful!
If you like chicken sate, order it here for sure. They’ll bring you out a little grill over an open flame to give it that extra char. Never experienced that before, so worth it just to try that out.
This is one of the best places I have been to. Light, healthy food for so cheap
Best place to eat some Asian cuisine! The staff is always SUPER friendly and VERY fast! Henry is great guy!
