Super tasty food and great service 😋 the desserts and drinks are great too

Maybe I've been pampered by Thai restaurants in Manhattan, so this was sadly not what I expected. I ordered Tom Yum soup and Beef Pad Thai. The meat was weird, overcooked and tasteless. Sorry but nothing was good enough.

I have gone to this restaurant a few times for lunch. The food is decent but I can only give it four stars out of five as the chicken was very slightly overcooked but still pretty good. Every time I have gone there there is ample seating available and the parking lot is close by with ample spots available.

Thai Gourmet has been serving the best pad Thai in Suffolk county for 25 years. Alongside staples like chicken cashew nut, they also offer an extensive vegetarian menu. It’s BYOB, so pick a good Riesling as it perfectly compliments the food, and don’t forget cash only.

I had an excellent meal. This was the first time my father had Thai food at 69 years old. He plans on bringing my sister since I am leaving. Lol.

Food was delicious My only complaint would be that we were not informed that brown rice costs $3.5/bowl.

Growing up, this was my mom’s and eventually my favorite place to get Pad Thai. It is very different than how other places make it and is authentic and the best around in my opinion.

We love it here! Great Thai food. We always get take out, just be sure to bring cash! Our favorites are the massuman curry, spicy Thai fried rice, and pad Thai!

Love this place. I missed the basil beef so much while living in Virginia that I learned to make the dish. Now I may need to learn how to make their drunken noodle because the flavors were magnificent. Be advised, Cash Only but totally worth trying.

Delicious, authentic Thai food! This is the place to go if you are looking for a great Thai meal. Service is friendly and fast- great takeout options and the restaurant atmosphere is a mix of cozy and friendly. You can watch the chef cook if you’re by the counter- everything is cooked fresh. In a shopping center that’s a bit quiet but certainly worth trying!

Blown away by this place. The food tastes fresh, healthy, and authentic, not overly creamy and great flavor. Best Thai food I’ve had! The outside doesn’t look like much but when you’re inside it’s a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend to eat in. Take out portions aren’t as big as the other local Thai place but you’re paying for quality here. Cash only as well.

A hidden gem! I pulled up and from the outside I was hesitant, but the inside is nice, cute date or lunch spot. The FOOD, really surprised my taste buds. The Fried Tofu app was delicious served w some great sauce. The masaman curry and green curry were so good I can’t believe flavor profiles like that exist. My eyes lit up with the first bite, I will be back. &!The service was great.

It's more expensive than other Thai restaurants and the food is not really better.

Pad thai was dry and tasteless. I found hair in the bag containing my food. Turned me off completely. If you can't make a proper pad thai, you're not an authentic restaurant.

Have been eating at Thai Gourmet for many years and they never disappoint. The spicy fried rice is particularly good.

This has become our go-to place for those times when we can’t decide what’s for dinner. It’s nothing fancy, but it is welcoming and the food is always wonderful. My favorite is the chicken cashew which I’ve gotten each and every time but my husband has tried several other options and enjoyed them all.

I went here with a group. I had beef pad Thai. It was very dry. Our server barely spoke. We will not be back.

Hawaiian fried rice was very good. Flavorful. Curry puffs and cucumber salad were delicious. Chicken with plum sauce so good. Crunchy with a sweet sauce. Coconut custard with black rice was so good! Sweet. Yummy texture.

$18 for an extremely small portion of Panang curry (literally more rice than curry), tasted average, and they only take cash (and we all know why).

I have had much better Panang curry for $13 that is literally double the volume of curry, and they accept credit card because they pay all their taxes (an assumption, but seriously we all know why it's cash only here).

So delicious. Love all of their chicken dishes and their curries especially the mango curry.

Let me tell you... this food was DELISH! I felt like I was eating dinner in someone's house...the food was made to order right before my very eyes. The Hawaiian fried rice was amazing!!! Sometimes pineapples aren't very sweet, and they can ruin a good meal...but not in this case! Sweet and savory!

I’ve had Thai food at several restaurants across NY and MI, and this is one of my top 5 so far. Best so far on LI. Perfectly spicy, super fresh, and great texture. I got the drunken noodle and had the fried spring rolls, both extremely tasty! Great service and nice family owned atmosphere too. You can see the chefs working from the dining area.

Had a wonderful meal there with my parents. Veggies were fresh, tofu was good and the sauce was on point. Yum!

Best Thai food around. They also are able to make gluten free food which is amazing!! The Pad Thai (I have it with tofu) is delicious. Their fried rice is the best around. The red, green, peanut and masaman curries are so good too! Top off any of your meals with their Thai iced tea. The portions are large, makes excellent left-overs, re-heats well.

Their food is very authentic, flavorful, & doesn't hold back on the spice which I really appreciate. One of my favorite Thai places! Just a heads up, it is cash only.

Staff is very friendly, however the food was unbearable. I had ordered the shrimp with garden vegetables entree and was immediately concerned with the scent of the dinner. Imagine yourself during the hottest of summer days walking through a barn filled with horse, goat, pig and dung gracing the inside of your nostrils... that is what my meal smelled like . I am led to believe that's a result of rotten shrimp, which by the way were not tail-less but dumped onto the plate. This establishment has ruined thai food for me.

I've been eating Thai food for over 35 years, and first was introduced to Thai food from a Thai family that I know, so I've become familiar with what authentic Thai food is. This place is the real deal. The Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, Spicy Basil Vegetable dish, the Vegetable Dumplings and the Summer Roll are all awesome! The peanut sauce is the best we've ever had. The chef is visible behind the counter, doing her magic. The best Thai food around, hands down. Note: If you go on a weekend night between 6pm and 8 pm, be prepared to wait as there usually is only 1 woman waiting tables, that's it. We're lucky to have such an awesome Thai restaurant around.

This place is the best place for pad Thai that I have ever been to. Every time that I come here the ladies that work there always greet me with open arms. They accommodate Gluten free dining excellently.

Been a staple for good Thai cuisine for many years in the terryville pj area for many years. The competition just doesn’t cut it. All massaman items are really good. BYOB and save money.

I've gone to this restaurant since I was a little kid. It's fantastic and I love the food.
Update: Still going here, I love this restaurant so much! It is Cash Only now, but that doesn't bother me at all, I hope this place stays open forever!

I would be rating this a 5 if they had more effective waiters lol. They are nice and the best Thai I’ve EVER had, seriously the best! I’m so glad this place exist, the chef every time I go is an old Thai woman. With every bite you taste the authenticity in the dish! It’s like the old lady poured her heart into every dish! 😍 I hope they stay in business forever.

had dinner there Sat. 10/18/19. Tom Yum soup was so-So, too sour and weak on other flavours, whereas the real thing is supposed to be a richly flavored broth, with a lot of solids like shrimp, veggies etc. Appetizer of 4 pork and shrimp dumplings was mostly pork with a bit of shrimp mixed it but the pork was fresh and of good flavor, i recommend this dish. Chicken sate appetizer was no good, the chicken had a strong unpleasant flavor and the peanut sauce didn’t taste of peanuts at all. Friend had duck, said it was on the tough side. Low prices though.

This was my first time at this establishment and will be my last. My rice was BURNT!! the chicken dish had no flavor my daughter couldn't even finish her shrimp dish, I had to get McDonald's just to get the taste out of my mouth and now I have heart burn . . 1 star is being generous

I’ve tried a lot of Thai restaurants on this island, and nothing compares to Thai gourmet. Literally the best Thai food I have ever had. It gets extremely busy during dinner, but it is always worth the wait. Cash only, don’t forget! And BYOB. The restaurant is conveniently located across the street from a wine and liquor store, and there is an atm a few doors down.

Great food and lots of gluten free options. It's not clear what is gluten free in the menu though, but they knew right away.

Food is average. Customer service is not bad but they can improve on customer service. I felt like they're rushing their dishes. There's a open kitchen I did not like it. I was sitting towards the back of the restaurant and I could see their whole kitchen. Later realized I'm even sitting closer to their restrooms. Decors are nice but I wasn't their to see decors, I was expecting quality and great customer service which I did not receive. Me and my husband were planning to go to the movie and we missed it because they only take cash and we didn't know that. So my husband had to drive to an ATM and get the money. By the time he arrived it was too late for the movie. It was such a hassle for us. It's not very convenient when they don't accept cards and take cash only. It was our first and last visit to this place. There are better Thai restaurants on Long Island.

I've been eating here for over a decade now, and this place never misses a beat. The food is always delicious, good service, and has a cozy atmosphere. They only accept cash, but it's reasonable priced so no big deal. No alcohol, but they let you bring your own. Great place.

Like the other reviews we have been going here for years and always loved the food. Consistently good. It will obviously be busy around weekends, we order pickup if we are ordering these at these times.

We have been going for twenty years and love the place. Artie's sister had been cooking for the last few years. I think she's even a better cook than him and he was the best. Appetizers are fantastic try the fried squid their larb gai and their dumplings (yum). We love this place. Bring your own drinks and enjoy yourself. You can't go wrong at this place.

Okay Thai place. The decor attempts to hide that the location was previously constructed to be something else, like a bar. My sister's appetizer was forgotten and while my mother's "coconut chicken soup" was out standing, everything else was just okay.
