Love the place! Great options for customization, especially if you are vegetarian, and the food was nicely seasoned and spiced! Our server, Steve, was great, and I'll definitely be coming back for the sushi and boba :)
We had the basil fried rice, drunken noodles, and green curry, and I recommend all of them, with the green curry being my personal favorite.
This is only the second place I’ve ever had Thai. The staff is very open to educating and recommending if you’re not familiar with Thai food. They are honest and knowledgeable about their menu. I got the yellow curry and they didn’t make me feel judged for low spice level or taking out most of the veggies. It was delicious! The chicken in their yellow curry is some of the best chicken I’ve ever had. The location and vibe is very quaint and pleasant. I wish they had fountain soda instead of bottled but that’s about it.
Absolutely amazing service and the food is just as amazing! Definitely will come here more often. I'd definitely recommend eating her at this beloved little restaurant. The servers are so sweet and nice and the food is just wonderful❤️
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the area! I have tried many different thai restaurants & this one is THE BEST one yet! I always get the strawberry milk tea and mango sushi delight roll. I am OBSESSED with this place and I will be going back tomorrow and probably the day after that 😋
Order online from Doordash and do not have an option to revise/edit, so I called the restaurant to edit
Basil : description show stir fry chicken with bell peppers/onion
I called and prefer only string bean, and I prefer minced chicken
Once pickup and I opened at home, I got a piece of chicken and NO string bean but have broccoli and carrots instead.
Prik Khing : The string bean is overcooked, and the chilly sause it too sweet
I love the price, the staff, the food, and the owners. It feels like dining in a genuine small café—truly a hidden gem. I honestly believe the sushi is the best in town. My only suggestion would be to offer draft beer.
Seriously best sushi in the 850.

Excellent red curry with duck!
I highly reccomend the Crying Tiger steak, absolutely delicious. The waitress and waiter Shay and Steve are always great and informative for menu picks. Amazing place.
Great food, a little slow, but it's made freshly for you!

Delicious food and always pleasant staff!
Been to plenty Thai restaurants, asked for my usual soup at this place, Large Tom Yum, and it came in a very small bowl with very little Broth ans wayyyyy overpriced. Was not satisfied at all. Felt cheated put of my money.
Amazing I love Bas and Nisa and their food is great! Even if they try to steal your cute lil siblings.
Great place for Thai !
Cute little spot with amazing food! The wait staff are friendly and fun. Nice atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.
I ordered lo mein and wonton soup. The wontons and noodles were over cooked. The wontons were so over cooked, they were mushy and falling apart. I also ordered the large wonton soup, which only came with three small wontons. The soup itself was very tasty though. My husband ordered the crispy salmon which he said was bland. We spent $80 (with tip) for these 3 items and a sticky rice.
Great Thai restaurant. The food was amazing.
Had combo meals delivered . Greasy. No taste .chewing beef stringthened my jaws
Recommened now chef
Love the food here! Staff is fantastic!!
Ordered sushi for carry out. It was made fresh and was delicious the staff was super nice and helpful will definitely be back when I come to Panama again
A nice little place to grab food in the Cove. It's been there as long as I can remember, the staff is always friendly and it rarely disappoints. Check it out for yourself!
Edit: I figured I'd touch on the review since the restaurant has changed. They have Sushi now! Their Curry dishes are EXCELLENT and their service is great. If you haven't been yet, 1, why not?!? and 2, GO!

Seriously best sushi in the 850.
Great little restaurant in the Cove. The Thai tea, steamed dumplings and pad thai was delicious! The shrimp appetizer was amazing. The service was also top notch!

Good food, lazy staff. Typical panama city work ethic. This time I drove across town to eat here during their posted hours and was turned away because "they close soon." With 3 occupied tables in the restaurant. Maybe shorten your hours to when you actually want to work, for that reason I'll never waste time coming here again.
Recently dined here with my partner. Really, really great place to eat! Good selection of food and you can tell it's made with love. The service is everything it should be. We will be back. Great sushi!
Great food and service
Delicious food. Very friendly staff. One of my favorite places to eat.
So unfortunate that a place with such good food had such horrible service. The server spoke in a condescending tone the entire time I was there. He seemed like he was assuming what kind of customer I was when I got there. He kept coming back and asking me are you ready yet. Instead of saying do you have any questions can I suggest something? I asked for sauce he gave it to me then charged me without telling me. My problem isn't that I was charged for the sauce, my problem is when I arrived there I told you I never been there before so your job as a server is to pay attention to details and say we charge for this. Everything about this experience was a lack of customer service.
The beef tasted like a wet dog. It was horrible, how do you mess up chicken fried rice? the waiter was great.
Omg! This is a hidden gem! The service and food was PHENOMENAL!!
We had dinner here and it was yummy. We had Pot Sticker, Pad Thai, and some sushi and it was all perfect. Service was also perfect. We'll be back.
Thai-American style restaurant in the heart of the Cove neighborhood. The portions are enough for two people. While not a high end restaurant, it is a nice place to grab a satisfying quick bite for lunch. If you have time, it’s worth taking a walk along scenic beach drive!
First time I ordered take out half of my food was spilled into the bag creating a pool of sauce in the bag. The chicken was extremely dry even with the sauce and it came with four thinly slices of chicken. I decided to give it a second chance just thinking it was bad luck but I was met with the exact same service. Take out food was half spilled, chicken dry, didn't come with rice, and waited 20 minutes more than it told me when it would be done. Save your money.
The food was simply outstanding! Each dish had an authentic taste and was cooked to perfection. We were particularly blown away by the seafood Pad Thai - it was hands down one of best we've ever had! We found out that the chefs are 100% Thai and it showed in the incredible flavors. We will definitely be revisiting every-time we come back to PCB😍
The restaurant with authentic Thai flavors, the food is exceptional. The Pad Thai is delicious, perfectly cooked.
The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive
and to finish the best drink Tiramisu Milk Tea
Food was amazing, I can’t believe I never tried this place sooner! Kaysea was an excellent server, she was friendly and attentive. Everything came out hot, fresh and delicious. Prices were fair. 10/10 will return.
Just ate here with my mom, sister, and her boyfriend. We had a bit of a confusion when they were out of the salmon, but our waiter graciously coasted us through the experience and my mother settled in the pepper steak (which was excellent) and I had the Thai basil with chicken and beef which was also really good but I should’ve gotten the pepper steak! lol will definitely be back! 🤙
"I recently dined at Thai Chef in Panama City and had an exceptional meal that truly deserves five stars. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were attentive and friendly. I ordered the Massaman Curry and was delighted by its perfect blend of flavors and spices—it was simply sublime. Additionally, I took some Mango Sticky Rice to go, which was a delightful end to my meal, featuring just the right mix of sweetness and texture. This restaurant consistently delivers both fantastic food and great service. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Thai cuisine!"
Waiting for a 1 hour for my food bad service
Dark in there. Closed Wednesday.
Really good food.
Authentic Thai cuisine
Great food
My favorite place for Thai food. The food is always good. The service was excellent.
Really good food and service. The Tom Kha soup and Yellow Curry were delicious.
Always great food! Always attentive service!
Quaint little place with very good food.
Absolutely fantastic food! The dishes are distinct and flavorful with the perfect amount of heat, and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. I plan to return as soon as I can.
Great food and service! I ordered the drunken noodles with squid and it was so tasty! Servers were nice and food came out very quick, hot, and fresh! My husband got the red curry and he was equally in love. I also got a cappuccino milk tea with boba and it was also so good! Definitely recommend this place 10/10.
The food is always very fresh and delicious! I've never waited more than 7-10 minutes for food even when busy. You can have your choice of spice 1 to 5. 2 is perfect for me. Service is excellent despite only maybe 1 waitress. The menu is good. Decor is a tad underwhelming, but very clean and pleasant.
Excellent food!!
just found this gem tonight and i was so satisfied with how good the food was (specifically the red curry), overall great experience that i will definitely return to have again
I bought and paid for my food only to pick it up and find out I owed more! I don't know just struck me as weird. I did order extra lettuce but paid extra for it before the extra charge. The only reason I asked for extra is that I barely got any last time. Any way. The food is good. But the kitchen is weird and I get the wrong food in my Togo's often. They always fix it but if you don't live near it can be a hassle.
Amazing food, delightful atmosphere, and exemplary service resulted in a very memorable dining experience. I highly recommend!!!
Thai food at it's best. The Thai Chef is a quaint restaurant that has a relaxing atmosphere and great food that's also well priced. I cannot stress how good the food is here, especially the green curry! This is definitely a gem of a somewhat hidden away restaurant that deserves to be gone to.
Even though Cherry Street is kind of torn up and it's not easy getting to this little gem, but you should try it. it's just absolutely wonderful the food is delicious the drinks are good and the service is excellent!!!!
Nothing to rave about, food is soso.
This place did not have the taste of Thai food. It was so bland that we didn't even finish our food.
Hostess was insulting. I had white rice on the side, asked some Soy Sauce. She gave me one packet. I had seven dollars owed back from a 12.96 tab and she wanted to pay two in quarters. Savannah should not be working there.
The Tom Yum soup is amazing!
Always great food!
One of the few places I've been to lately that still has a lunch special! Nice staff. Fresh food.
Absolutely the worst I've ever had. I couldn't be paid to go back there. The thai tea was horrible as well. I'm sure it was good at one time, but not anymore...
Food was so good. We couldn't stop talking about it while we ate.
My favorite Thai place in town!! The food is delicious and I'm able to usually get two meals out of it. Love coming here and it's great that it's so close to my workplace :)
I wouldn’t know how the food or service is because when I called to make a to go order and a young lady answered the phone and asked me “could you hold for a moment?” I said yes and then I heard people talking about their lives, but no one ever came back to the phone. I hung up and tried calling back, but apparently it was left it off the hook for the rest of the evening.
Excellent service & food with a loving atmosphere.
We ordered and picked up so can't say much about the atmosphere. I had the spicy Pad Thai and it was good, but was not very spicy. My wife had the mild Pad Thai but was not crazy about it -- she said she would not get that again because it was too sweet. My adult son got chicken fried rice spicy and said it was really spicy. So it is hit or miss with the heat.
First time back since Hurricane Michael and was really looking forward to my visit. I have eaten here (Asian Bistro) many times over the years. I was disappointed to say the least. Just skip the PHO, if you can't provide all the ingredients that are listed on the menu, then you have no business offering it.
I did like crispiness of the chicken in the General Tso and the flavor was good along with two small broccoli florets and were cooked correctly along with the rice. The ginger dressing in the ginger salad I really liked. We didn't get a chance to try the spring roll as it never made it to the table. The biggest improvement was that lemons are now provided for your water. I will go back to try some of the dishes from the past and will put more reviews.
Fantastic food and service from Shayne.
Really really good food. We had the crispy duck pad thai and was excellent!
This is my go to for Thai cuisine. Their curry's are always delicious. I love within 2 blocks from this establishment and have been eating there once a week for years. The staff is always friendly even though it changes often, then food has remained excellent. I've tried almost every dish on the menu and never been disappointed.
Fast service and EXCELLENT food. Had the drunken noodles, red curry, and mango with sticky rice for dessert. Great portions and prices! Also the mango was perfectly ripe which is just incredible to me.
Been awhile since we were here. We had the Thai beef salad and drunken noodles. Both were very good. Looking forward to trying other menu items.
I was really looking forward to eating at another Thai place in town but very disappointed. Sorry we won't be back.
Papaya salad is bomb! Don’t order pho from here cos it taste like wonton soup.
OK. Where can I start ....greeting was friendly, waitress not accommodating , curry was soupy,(I mean like water) no thai flavors (originally all ingredients are the same everywhere , but the "spices" are the ones )..we'll , they don't have them , pad thai not good , I like to ask for noodles instead of rice , ask for a side (I don't mind paying extra ) they can't even do that , it sucks the big one ..won't go back ever again...oh I almost forgot the atmosphere and the beer is good 😊 🍺
I felt welcome as soon as I walked in the door. The staff is very attentive and does everything they can to make sure you have a positive experience. And the food, oh my gosh, amazing. Probably the best Thai food I've ever had. I will definitely be going back it's not once, multiple times.
Trash
At this level they are consider artists not just chiefs!!!! Try the curry.
First time to dine and it is not bad. The sampler platter appetizer was right out of the box but the pad Thai and green curry were both good. I'd go back and skip the appetizers.
The food is amazing and the staff is so friendly!! Try the plum wine! It’s out of this world
First time trying pad Thai and it was amazing! First class food & service.
Food was amazing! My wife and I will be back with friends and family :) . Good job! And I eat at a lot of places so this is in my top list!
When I think Thai food is the first place I think of. The food is always so fresh and the flavors are wonderful.
Honestly worst Thai food I have ever had service was okay but I wouldn’t eat there veggies where raw food was tasteless after we ate we went to McDonalds cause we was so upset this is my first bad review I ever made literally just made this account to warn y’all not to eat here spent 50 bucks rather threw it out the window.
Server was friendly, restaurant was clean, but probably the worst Thai food I ever heard. Rice was undercooked, all vegetables were raw, no flavor profile….
I may miss Happy Coat dearly, but that plate of drunken noodles definitely cuts down on those feelings of loss.
Love this hidden gem so much! The buffet is amazing, with a great variety of spice levels and flavors.
great food/atmosphere. They messaged me on facebook to let me know I had forgotten my wallet there ❤❤
The ladies working here are the absolute best wait staff food is delicious and made fresh
The best Thai food in Bay County
Definitely a great place to go. Food was Awesome 👌 😋
I loved it
Definitely going back
I had some Tye tea, I think that's how you say it, and some Vietnamese coffee, which tasted pretty good. I enjoyed everything about this place.
Awesome staff that are always nice but the food is really hit or miss, I've been here fore and got the calamari pad Thai and it been delicious then gone and got the same thing and it be not that good
This is my go-to place in Panama City for Pad Thai, drunken noodles, or curry. Best spot around
Wonderful food. New waitress was very friendly told us a joke!!! We enjoyed everything about this place!! Look it up and enjoy!!
Absolutely love this place. Food is always amazing and service is as well. Highly recommended!
My visit here was wrong on so many levels. I hate to say it but this was by far the worst Thai food I have eaten. I do not know how the restaurant has 4.5 stars. The flavors weren't very Thai and I have eaten at many different Thai restaurants that are using flavor profiles from many regions and I have had authentic Thai food as well.
The one thing that wasn't a bust about our visit was the server was very nice- they needed another server but that's just hard to come by nowadays. It did take us about 25-30 min at least before our order was even taken. Another staff member was getting drinks and we ordered a red wine and were given a white wine. Also they give you about a quarter glass of wine- really skimpy. I think the booze might be necessary to be able to enjoy the food.
We ordered a few soup style dishes- curries etc and somehow they channeled the magical essence of the hot pocket whereas a hot pocket can be both scalding hot and ice cold at the same time- our dishes meats were somehow overcooked and rubbery yet the vegetables were raw- not al dente. In addition to the odd flavors- the tom kha soup tasted like someone dropped a Funyun (Funion?) into a bait bucket on a scorching Florida summer day and left it in there for 8 hours. It was so fake oniony, fishy, and a bit sour. They completely forgot my husbands food. Meanwhile the tables around us are sending food back almost non stop. I just couldn't stomach the curry and all I could eat of it was the broth (which was bad) and rice since everything was overcooked or not cooked at all- I sent it back and requested nothing in its place. We requested just to pay for what we ate and drank so we could just leave and then my husbands dish came out. It had to be at least 20 min after my dish arrived on the table. At that point we had already decided to leave and go somewhere else. The noodle dish they put down just looked soggy and off so we politely declined.
Needless to say while we were waiting I was looking for other food options as we were both still very hungry and the thought of Thai food now turned our stomachs. Not sure if we should have even paid for our half cup of wine and baitfish soup.
It was ok. The kids liked the mild flavours.
I LOVE NEISAS FOOD ITS DELICIOUS especially the fried rice, the sesame chicken and the see-ew it's all delicious.
A hidden gem in Panama City! Amazing food every time, superb wait staff and a calm environment to enjoy eating in. This is another of my favorite, regular places to eat in town.
Had a super lovely server. This place really Thais the neighborhood together
Do you get it?
Do you?
It's like Thai instead of tie.
Do you get it?
You aren't laughing.
LAUGH
Nice staff, clean restaurant. They need to update their menu and maybe not put so many choices. Some are not available, like seaweed salad. They have a buffet table and advertise for it on their menu, but don't offer one. They don't indicate which items are spicy in the menu either, even though there is a key at the bottom to show which items would be hot. I guess they forgot to mark the dishes before they printed the menus. They leave the ticket on a tray at the table, but don't come back to pick it up, which is custom for leaving a tray with the ticket. They expect you to take the ticket and the tray to the cash register, which is odd and confusing. The noodles were a little rubbery, but it was mostly very good food. We have been before and will go back.
This little place has come a long way. Friendly, efficient wait staff and delicious Thai food that is prepared quickly and served with a smile.
A treasure of The Cove! Serene, atmosphere, delicious cuisine and divine staff. Carry out orders make quick lunches easy peasy!
Amazing Thai good in the area!
I’m extremely disappointed! We just ordered from this place after looking at photos and reviews it sounded like a hidden gem and a win! When we received our food which was the teriyaki chicken it came in a half full bowl of liquid along with a few veggies for $10! The picture was chicken filet pieces over rice with teriyaki sauce! That is not what you get!!! She said it was the kids menu and did not come with rice, but when ordering it did not say anything about it being a kids portion and do children not also like rice??? I’m so mad I just wasted $10 on this food that doesn’t even look appetizing!!!
Great food! Maybe some updated booths.
Business ownership has changed since it was My Thai Asian Bistro. New owners had great food although less authentic. But post Covid the meat in pad Thai was about 2 ounces and the $20 Bangkok had about 3 ounces with handful of veggies. Not such a great deal anymore. The flavors aren't quite there anymore but perhaps because we ordered out at closing time. Who knows. There's only one other place close by that I may try again. Its a hit or miss on that one.
Pineapple fried rice with chicken was delicious!
Great place to eat.
It was amazing place
Hidden gem! Great service, and even better food. Wish I lived in the Cove, but if I did, Thai Chef would get all my money because I could eat there daily. Massaman curry was delicious as was my wife's panang curry. Crab rangoon was good as well.
Worst Thai Restaurant in Panama City. Not spicy , and the waitress didn‘t understand anything.
Absolutely delicious
Like it glad its under new ownership
Very good! A wonderful hidden gem. Service is good and the food is even better. Definitely a new favorite!
I was too far away to go to my usual perfect Thai place so I read reviews on this place and was hooked....I paid $8 for "Thai Chicken Wings". This is just battered chicken wings with absolutely no flavor or seasoning. And they are extremely small for the price. I've had Thai chicken wings before so trying to pass this by me is an insult. The $5 "Egg Fried Rice" had no egg in it and it was full of white rice clumps. It was very obvious that they used hot steamed rice to make the fried rice. That's why it gets mushy and clumps up. Again I eat Thai food ALOT so I know this is not Thai fried rice. The icing on the cake, I don't mind paying a little extra for Thai ice tea but I paid $5.35 not for a large cup which I'm used to getting at a lesser price but for a small cup. It's sad because I was convinced by the great reviews that this is the place to go. I will not stray away again from Royal Thai Cuisine, it's so worth the trip! Prices match the quality and quantity. I can eat twice when I order there. I had to eat a bowl of cereal after this stuff I got today. 😳
Always great!!!
Food was delicious and so was the tea’s
Great service and food was hot and fresh. We loved it all.
Very friendly! Nice clean restaurant. Excellent food!!!
Ordered “see ew” which is usually called “pad see ew”. They should call it “pad with vegetables” because it had NO SAUCE. It was dry with no dark sauce which is not typical. The Tom kha Kai soup was just coconut milk, chicken and veggies with no red curry paste like I’m used to. The flavor was off but not bad. The real disappointment was the entree. Pad see ew should have a sauce on it. Not just noodles. Super bummed.
Fantastic authentic Thai cuisine.
this is an amazing place to eat. we eat here a couple times a week
Fried rice and drunken noodles were super tasty.
Great food
Definitely recommend
Great 👍 Best I have had
Best food in my city!
Great restaurant. I've been here many times, always great!!!
Best Thai restaurant we've experienced in the county. Great food, excellent service. Beer could be a bit colder, but otherwise a great meal. We will return
First time back under new owners. Wonderful experience. Great food. Excellent service
