Whether you're dining in, taking out, or ordering delivery, Zenna never disappoints. When they're busy the service isn't great but it doesn't stop me from coming back. The food is "comfort Dallas Thai" and we all seem to love it. Open late, happy hour, and bomb thai tea.

I had an incredible dining experience at Zenna Thai & Japanese Restaurant! I ordered the Curry Combination Noodle Soup, Ginger Lemon Hot Tea, Water with Lemon, and the Volcano Roll as an appetizer. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and well-prepared. The curry soup was the perfect blend of spices, and the Volcano Roll was delicious and beautifully presented.

What truly made the experience stand out was the exceptional customer service from Dolly. She took the time to ask about my preferences, listened carefully, and recommended dishes that I absolutely loved. Her attentiveness and friendly demeanor really elevated my visit. If you're dining here, I highly recommend asking for Dolly—you won’t be disappointed! This restaurant is a gem, and I’ll definitely be returning!

They have great cold tapas selections, I would suggest the imperial rolls with extra shrimp.

I would like to share my first time experience ordering from this restaurant . I had the chicken Thai fried rice overall 1/5 .. the quality of the chicken was off . The spicy level was ok . I also ordered the tulip dumplings … they were dry and the texture was crumbly . Not a big fan . I would not be returning to try additional dishes from the establishment .i can’t speak for the service and atmosphere as i ordered this order online .

1. I ordered a glass of water and when I drink the water, I knew immediately that something was wrong with it. The water tasted like there is something in it. I asked if they get their water from a filter and the waiter said yes. I told the waiter that the water tasted like the filter hasn’t been changed in a while. As a result I only took a few sips of water.

2. For the entrée I ordered a combination yellow curry and an appetizer of marinated squid. The entrée came out before the appetizer. The curry was OK. The potatoes and the curry needed to be cooked longer as they had a bit of hardness to them. The appetizer was very good and probably the best dish out of everything I ordered.

3. Lastly, I ordered a spicy tuna roll and Philadelphia roll. Both roles tasted off. Neither roll was fresh. When I put the Philadelphia roll in my mouth, some thing about the salmon did not taste right. When I took the salmon out of the roll I touched it and it was not cold and you could barely call it chilled. The spicy tuna roll was also not good. They sprinkled some sort of red powder on top which adds to the distastefulness of the dish.

If this restaurant focused more on the taste and freshness of the food, they would be doing better in my opinion.

Soo Delicious my favorite meal is The Heaven Beef With the Spring Roll Sauce and Spring Rolls are Great. I love both The Tom Yum and Tom Kha Soups. Thai Tea is So Amazing as well. Great Prices. So many great options so many great Sushi Rolls as well.

There was piece of rubber in the tulip dumplings, The food is nothing like it used to be back in the day. The spoons for the condiment tray are black from not being cleaned in a very long time.

I bought food online from this restaurant a week ago, it was never delivered. They kept updating me my food was on the way until the last minute when they sent a message saying the order was canceled. The number they have on their site as contact number always goes unanswered. They charged my card $68 and they have not refunded the money up to date. Since calling them doesn't seem to work, I will dispute the charge with the credit card issuer, if it doesn't work then I know how to get FTC involved.

Myriena was amazing, very friendly! Amazing customer service. Waited for my to go order, had a drink at the bar. She was so kind, I stayed to chat with her! Plus the food here is AMAZING!

The food was as good as I remember it. Ordered 100 flats worth of good food off of the happy hour menu and ate every bit of it with the help of two other people.

Great food and hang out place. They have some great deals before 7 p.m.! Prices are still great. Also its open till 3 a.m. which is awesome! Also has a place just a few buildings over that has their happy hour start when Zenna's ends (perfect). The servers are always very nice and helpful. I probably call in more orders for pick up then actually go in and my orders have always been perfect and to the same standard.

Update after 5 years quality and quantity of food has gone down. Ordered tonight and have about a fist amount missing from my fried rice as if someone’s taken a few bites worth.

Pad dishes are delicious!

This has been my #1 go to place after work. I work late, and it's great to have such a good place to hang out at the bar and eat such great food. Their menu is huge and has so much to offer. The service is always amazing. If you are looking for great food, sushi, open late. This is the best place around.

Premium alcohol bottles filled with well.

The portions are truly Texas sized! I couldnt finish more than half of my Ramen and had to pack the rest home. Taste is pretty good too and reasonably priced. Only thing missing was a complementary wheelbarrow-to-your-car service that you would probably need if you manage to eat the whole meal.

The Yentafo is good, but the duck noodle soup not so. The service was good. One major issues is the water, it tasted like the filter hasn’t changed for a long time(tasted moldy).

The worst service I can ever imagine. The wait was long, and I was not served, while others who arrived after us received their orders. I waited for more than an hour and would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I have been eating at Zenna for years. Tonight was the first time I call and had a complaint.Customer service was unprofessional they did even try to fix the issue. I don’t appreciate being treat like a liar.

Horrible service!! At least 3 different servers past us! It's empty and we never get notice. A party after us get seen and here drinks and we're still waiting! Do not go there unless you want to wait and never get attended!

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Zenna Thai. My friends and I waited for 50 minutes, but the servers seemed to be ignoring us. They served everyone around us, but didn't even offer us water.

When we asked about the delay, the servers refused to answer. One of them even gave us a rude look. It felt like we were being treated unfairly because of our race.

We ended up leaving the restaurant after waiting for over an hour and 10 minutes. The service was terrible, and I wouldn't recommend Zenna Thai to anyone. I wish there’s an option to review the service a NEGATIVE star rating.

Nem was an amazing waiter. The food was delicious, as usual. We had tom kha soup, garlic crispy pork ribs, drunken noodle, and crab rangoon dip.

We just got served expired crawfish in a sushi roll, and the food in general taste terrible. Normally is really good but not this time. Something is wrong

I order shrimp and chicken fried rice. The first time I ordered it it came with 5 shrimp the second time only 3. They argued with me for about 10 minutes about how it comes with 5 but the way they rang it in today it was only 3. How Is that my fault??? John then voided the first transaction to charge me again for a .52 difference! Zenna can do better … the customer service here sucks! They will argue with you instead of doing the right thing which is fixing the problem. Everyone make sure you check your food so u know what you are getting because 3 shrimp for 16.78 isn’t worth it.

Nice Atmosphere with live music on certain days. I'm a big sushi fan and the California Roll is made just the way i like it

I love their happy hour! However, I'm over them... it has gone up, and the food is not as good as it used to be. The spring rolls tasted funny like I could taste the grease they cooked it in. Might need changing out. The goyzas were good, the wings, ehhh, not so much they looked weird pale like after they were cooked with teriyaki sauce on them. Idk.. I've had my share of zennas it's been real.. 🙄that was my last visit..✌🏽

Food service evth was great. They have an off-the-menu sushi called “Drama”. A must try. Their curries (green/red/yellow) and fried rice are also stars of this place. A must try if you’re craving Thai food.

Food is good have never had an issue with it.. service on the other hand is terrible if you are dining in. My husband and I went last night for dinner and waited about 8 minutes to be greeted by 1 of the 5 servers standing around staring at us .. every time we have gone the service is not good. Meal time last like hour and half because of very slow service and not checking back in on the tables.

I came here with my fiance about a week or so ago now. Our server was amazing! However, I had mixed feelings about the food. The spicy basil fried rice was fresh and tasty, but the pad thai tasted frozen at best. The noodles were chewy and they were way too sweet for my liking. I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve never had a bad experience until now so definitely come check them out, I just wouldn’t get the pad thai!

Never had an asian food with this much sweetness level! Ordered sour sweet chicken and came with a bowl of corn, 0 sourness in it, 0 taste in fried chicken, i am really surprised because this much of tasteless food never had before and paid 16$ for this.

Ordered sweet and sour chicken. It was overcooked and mostly bread. Took it back and talked to the manager. She wasn't even gonna look at it. I told her to look at it and she barely opens the bag. I'm like maam no look at it. She finally looks at it but not even that good she just ppens the lid real quick and says oh i see. Says did u order it today? Then she looks at the receipt and i said yeah just picked it up 10 mins ago. She had bad attitude about it. Crazy how you act but u wouldn't wanna be served burnt overcooked food either. On top of that dude was in the chair sleeping when I walked in and didn't even respond to me till the 3rd excuse me sir. Smh

Been following this place around since they were in downtown Dallas, then in Mesquite, and now in Plano. Always been such great food and nice people working there!

Loved this place! Especially the service, we came in at almost 11 PM and stayed till 12, our waiter who we didn’t catch the name of (he had dyed white hair on the top) was absolutely the most accommodating and welcoming.

I typically refrain from leaving no star ratings, especially for a place my daughter and I frequent for its usually fresh and amazing food. However, our experience today was an unfortunate exception.

We arrived to find the restaurant unusually empty, but the service was still great, and the food looked as delicious as ever. Unfortunately, a baby roach crawling around the rim of my daughter’s plate quickly shattered our dining experience.

The manager promptly apologized and assured us that they have pest control services twice a week. While this information is intended to reassure, it actually raises concerns about the effectiveness of their pest control measures.

Despite our many positive visits in the past, this incident has left us feeling uncomfortable and unlikely to return.

Zenna is one of my go to late night spots. The food is always on point.

I had gone here for the first time recently and from the looks of the exterior, I didn’t expect much out of this experience. But walking into the building changed my perspective a bit because the place looked very nice and well decorated as well as it being clean. The menu was full of options and I had gotten sushi (California and tempura roll). The sushi was very top notch and tasted amazing. It was fresh and that’s how I love it. 10/10. Also, the waiter was super nice and helpful. Overall, I loved this place.

great place to eat when you have time to go there. dont't try getting anything delivered though. Doordash will take your order and your money without confirming they have drivers in the area.

The crispy spring rolls came with bland super sweet sauce. Mango sticky rice had caramel on it rather the normal sweetened coconut milk sauce. Pork belly a la carte was pork shoulder/pork butt not pork belly.... The flavor was okay.

This is our spot when we want step out of the house really quick. Prices are great and food is amazing

This Japanese restaurant is the place! If you're looking to eat Japanese food, give this place a shot. The pork chop bites are my favorite following along with their sushi rolls. I've had mostly every plate at Zennas. From soup to fried rice. I enjoy them all! The environment is warming and service is great!Definitely recommend this place.

Had a shrimp fried rice with extra tofu. Shrimp is frozen type, not meaty even though I pay extra for it. Tofu is really good, tastes fresh.
Coconut soup is delicious. So only problem with the shrimp

It's a Dallas staple at this point, excellent Thai food. Quick service generally but it can get crowded. Parking is fairly generous but do arrive early to capitalize on it. Not bad sushi, but again you are going here for the Thai. Red curry insert rice and you're in for a treat, absolutely delectable. Wash it down with a Thai tea for a very satisfying meal excellent for date night. Clean and warm atmosphere nothing out of the park, just right. A safe option for you spice lovers is the Drunken Noodle (pad kee mow), spice level three balances the heat and the sweet, also an excellent reheat.

I was in this evening. The first time my sidi came out wrong. No big deal. When I got home I looked at the receipt more closely because I was like something isn't right. I was charged for the sushi roll I did not order. Tried to call and no one answered. Machine picked up but couldn't leave message. Says to call back. Tried calling back several times to get a busy signal.

This is a go-to favorite with my husband and I. They are open very late, which is perfect to have our weekly Friday night dinner date because he works nights, and his lunch is around 1am. The food is great, I suggest the Udon with beef, at a level 2 on the heat index. So good 👍

I arrived. I asked to borrow the plastic menu to review in my vehicle to place a to go order. This kid told me, "No, I don't know what's going on outside." In my mind, if the most of your worries is the 'potential massacre' to a flat laminated menu, Zenna does not deserve my patronage. It's not what was said. It's the way it was said.

This spot has taken my top overall Thai spot.
When you walk in you are greeted instantly and they work to find you seats if available.
Certain hours there is live music which is entertaining and actually a pretty high quality/level performance.

I've been to Zenna's quite a few times, usually later at night after work. The other night, me and my roommate went around 1am. We were seated immediately, but then it took almost 30 minutes for us to even get our glasses of water. Eventually, our waiter came over, and we ordered our drinks and food. Our food came out quickly after ordering, but our waiter forgot our drinks, and I had to ask him about it, and he said, "Oh yeah, I forgot." I would've understood if it was busier, but there were plenty of staff that were just standing around watching the basketball game on the TV. The food is always tasty, hot, and fresh, but it was just the service that was really lacking this time around.

Management not taking care of guests is my biggest problem here. We waited 15 minutes for our server to come who then had to ask us for our order twice. We didn’t get drinks or appetizers for another 15 minutes until my partner flagged down the manager. She was great in that she rushed out what by that point was our cold orders and got me my (warm) white wine. We asked for our check and she put it in front of me (not my male partner) and I noticed not even my wine was compensated. We will never be coming back because not only did our server not take care of us, but the manager didn’t either. A real shame because the food was amazing.

To all the people complaining, this place is perfect, and I feel many of you guys are being picky; at 1 am, what will you get? What-a-burger Waffle House? This place has a lot of options for a late-night spot: rice, noodles, sushi, curry soup, etc. You’re not going to find that anywhere else, on a late night, the best spot to go when you're off work late or leaving the bar or a party at 1 am. Basil fried rice is my favorite. I order here at least once a week.

I had a ordered this at the recommendation of another. I ordered Thai garlic w combination meat, extra pork. One order of the imperial rolls, shrimp. And a sweet sticky rice w mango. Those 3 items were 30 dollars and 50 cents.

The Thai Garlic had only 2 shrimps in it and did not seem to have "extra" pork. It came with white rice and was a "normal" portion.

The imperial rolls were wrapped in plastic wrap, which I appreciated. It only came with peanut chili sauce, but there was two in there. I did not find this appealing like a regular peanut sauce. Rolls were sub par.

Finally the sweet sticky rice with mango which I was so hopeful for and craving- ended up being rancid and rock hard. I ate the cherry on top and literally tossed the rest.

While I understand these items might be made from scratch or made to order, the price point vs the outcome and food I ended up receiving, did not match. The math certainty is not mathing with this one. Only thing I loved was the abundant use of cilantro.

We have loved Zenna’s for years! It’s the only place we order sushi for delivery. The Heavenly Beef is so good.

It was pretty disappointing since the few times I have been here I’ve had good dine in experiences but I guess ordering from Uber eats is a crapshoot if they’re not paying attention to order notes. Something to be wary of if you’re going the same route. Was multiple dishes too, so very disappointing

Simple place use to be great. Run down sorta. People at the front were arguing over who was going to seat me. I told them it was my birthday. Nothing was recognized about my birthday. Server Renzo was very kind.

This is the only place I'll go get sushi from the Crab Meat Dynamite is the best thing here ! Food is delicious, and there is a guy that performs live music definitely a great atmosphere. I wish I had pics of the food but by the time I think about taking a picture my plate is completely empty

I ordered the drunken noodles (Pad kee mow) and were very happy with it. I love Thai and have tried this dish in locations all over the country. This one of the better I’ve had.

The concept of spice level does not exist here. Spice Level 5 is bland at best.

They denied us service. Just one word, the manager is a racist!!!

Very bad customer service! They only work for Tips! We ordered a Togo but changed our mind to dine in but they denied us saying the server won’t even serve water. Very bad way of talking and rude manager. We can pay tips if they serve us and provide a table but not interested visiting here again.

The only good thing about this place is the fact that it’s open until 3 am. I placed an order for pick up and waited 35 minutes while the employees were having a conversation when my order had already been ready for who knows how long. To add on top of that my order was wrong. The food is honestly mediocre at best and each time I’ve gotten take out they take a ridiculous amount of time to take out the food. If you really want to try a good quality authentic restaurant go to Thai Thumbz it’s only a 5 minute drive away, the proportion sizes are 2x bigger and it is delicious every time I’ve gone.

I don’t suggest this restaurant as these guys are so racist and I strongly believe that this restaurant should be boycotted in future.

Employees are least interested to work or answer the question and after repeatedly calling them, none of the employee wanted to help us.

I discourage everyone who wants to dine inn here.

I suggest you more places if you want too, but not this one.

If you are the one who owns the restaurant please oversee your place for your own future.

The customer service is the worst. People are racist here and judge you by your race honestly. I saw the staff making fun of people in front of our table because they were Indians just like us. They dint even want to take our order and we had to leave. This is the second time this happend to me. All they are good for is standing by the bar and making fun of everyone in the place. Honestly with this attitude I don’t know how this place is even running. I highly suggest you guys to put a board in front of the restaurant that only certain category of people are allowed to eat here.

Our server Jackie was awesome! She knew the menu to help me order vegan from their selections. I enjoyed the pineapple curry and steamed rice, and mango rice pudding

Edit: gave them many more chances and they've really impressed us. We even went for my daughter's 20th birthday and had a good time, especially as eat in diners rather than just take out. Their mixed drinks are good, but really, really strong, so drink with caution. 😂 The food was pretty good and the portions more than I could finish in one sitting. The waitstaff were friendly and reasonably prompt in attending to us. They even gave my daughter a free dessert with a candle in it to help us celebrate. It wasn't as full as I expected, but we were there after happy hour, so that might be why. The atmosphere was pleasant enough, but I kind of wish the lighting was a bit dimmer. As for the food, it was really good . For take out I often get gyoza, side of fried rice, mashed potatoes and side of mushrooms. For the rice, I like peanut sauce, but my daughter likes the spicy mayo. These options make s good, affordable lunch. For dinner, I had sesame chicken, which I really liked. Definitely be back.

Cashier didn't give us our change because they said they were out. Had to go back and insist on getting it. The food was good, but the portions are a bit small. Fried rice is my favorite, but their noodles were mushy and plain. Peanut sauce is really good on many things though. Definitely would go back as we may have just caught them on an off day.

I've never dined in however, I've ordered quite a few things to go and also to have delivered. Late night and Asian?... They're the place to go in the area!! Parking was super easy and free.

The tum yum soup is one of the better tasting that I have had in the DFW area only for me it’s a bit of a drive wish the downtown location was still there

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Zenna Thai & Japanese restaurant, a hidden gem that brought the vibrant flavors of Thailand to my taste buds. Started with salad which had peanut sweet cream and Yummy tom yum soup . One of the highlights was the Penang curry chicken- rich , aromatic and bursting with fresh herbs . All we went with spicy level 3. It is moderate level. It is a must visit for anyone seeking an good Thai dining experience.

Avg food, service was alright, nothing special about the place other than is open hella late
