My friend and I were looking for somewhere in Miami Lakes with good sushi, and ended up deciding to try Thai Cafe. Despite it being a Thai restaurant, they had sushi on their menu so we gave them a try. We ordered 4 rolls - Thai Cafe Roll, Dragons Roll which were both delicious. The Beauty and the Beast Roll which was half tuna, half eel and was very refreshing. Then we ordered the Volcano Roll which was surprisingly amazing! It's a mixed seafood Roll with masago and spicy mayo, and came with steaming hot seafood on top. I highly recommend trying them out for sushi if you're in the area. (We didn't eat any of their Thai dishes so I can't comment on those). Prices were reasonable too!

Came here with my girlfriend, from the moment i walked in i was greeted with calmness and cleanliness, it was a nice little peaceful environment. I did not expect much, but wow was i surprised and impressed with how good this food was, and the server was very kind and attentive.

We shared beef fried rice, dumplings, chicken skewers, and Thai doughnuts, we were also given a little charcoal grill on our table to cook our mean how we wanted, can you believe i only paid $48 for all of that! It’s unbelievable.

I had been looking for a lemon grass soup for a while since my favorite Thai restaurant closed. It was on Miramar Pkwy just east of I-75. I was not expecting it to be as good as Thai Cafe but it supercided my expectations. I also had the crispy duck with a side of red curry. The owner Sam was awesome and very welcoming. The waitress Nicky was very natural and the way I like. I will be returning back as soon as possible. Thumbs up

Been eating at Thai Cafe over 30 years. Used to be one of our favorite restaurants. But the quality of the food and service has been declining for the past few years. Tonight more than one of us that ate here got home with explosive diarrhea. This is the end for this place. Sorry to see this happen cause it used to be a really good restaurant.

I wish I had photos of the two entrées my fiancé and I ordered. First of all, I was shocked that there wasn't a classic beef pho in a Thai restaurant. Go figure, right? I ordered the beef soup, which tasted very sweet, and the beef tasted of freezer burn. Overall, my soup was very distasteful. My fiancé ordered the Thai green curry, which was extremely laughable. It was like someone just opened a can of coconut milk and coconut cream with a pinky nail of green chili paste. His vegetables weren't stewed either. the jasmine tea was very weak in taste. It was a sad dining experience. The red flag for me was when I didn't see a classic pho soup dish - that should've been my cue to leave. This restaurant is an insult to Thai and Asian cuisine, do better or shut down. Will not be visiting again. I advise you all not to even bother with this place, 'The green papaya' would've been a better restaurant choice. Me and my fiancé left within 5 minutes of trying to even eat any of this food, we ended up clearing our pallettes out with 107 Taste across the street, maybe these people can learn a thing or two from across the street.
We usually don't complain, but Jesus, the food is awful, I wouldn't even wish this on my worst enemy. I don't understand how a 4.2 star rated restaurant could feel like a 3 star one or how it even has a 4.2 to begin with - if you have absolutely zero taste or a palate then this is the PLACE for you. Again, sad dining experience, but I wouldn't give them the credit to even claim it as an experience - more like a traumatic event.

Co-worker just ordered food from here through Uber Eats. It arrived, I opened my soup and was about to take a bite, when I look down and see a dead juvenile German Cockroach 🪳 atop a floating mushroom and 🤢. If you know anything about German Cockroaches, you know that where there is one, there are hundreds or thousands. This restaurant must have a full blown infestation in order for one of these guys to have shown up in the food. Needless to say, didn’t touch it or the rest of my food either, nor did any of my co-workers.

Best Thai food in South Florida by far. I've been to just about every Thai restaurant in Dade/Broward and this spot is and will always be my go to.
I eat here twice/week at least.

First of all the employees were so kind!! They were really welcoming and went out of their way to help us.

The sushi and sashimi was fresh and tasted delicious!! It was really yummy and we would come back more for the sushi!

However, for the food portion and quality I have to say it is quiet expensive and may be worth it if the flavor would be good. But unfortunately some dishes just weren't. We ordered multiple portions of the chicken teriyaki which when we opened in our takeout had no teriyaki sauce. It was plain unseasoned chicken on a lump of rice with no sauce. It tasted very bland and the chicken didn't taste fresh. So if you want to order this dish check and make sure that it has sauce.

Another issue is there were small blue plastic pieces inside the dough of the Thai donuts.

I don't like writing negative reviews but I'm just sad imagining some family saving up money for maybe even a year to celebrate some event and choosing this place thinking they'll get a fresh and tasty meal and end up with the type of meal we got. It would be very disappointing.

We wish all the best for this resteraunt and hope they will improve in the quality of their food.

My husband and I visit this restaurant for lunch in a regular visit at least once a month, little by little we have being experiencing a decline in the quality of the food, today my chicken was really bad it was very chewing it didn’t taste like a good quality meat, the portion for the rice is a lot less , every time we go they have a higher price in the menu , and the restaurant doesn’t look clean, we are questioning if they have a new owner but definitely not the Thai Cafe that we have being visited for many years for lunch .

I hadn't been here in a very long time. But while visiting main street, I stopped in for dinner and I was not disappointed. There sushi rolls were fantastic. I hope that they continue to succeed and I suggest that they change the inside lighting to make it a little bit more appealing instead of a cafeteria style white bright lighting

This place has been around for a while and i dont know how its taken me so long to review it. this is one of the best thai restaurants in miami its a hidden gem i have only been there for lunch on week days but its usualy a relaxing quet place great for unwinding and just enjoying your food. the food and portions are great and its one of the only thai restaurants that make you sweat when you ask for thai hot 🔥. Recommend the tom kha thai hot!

Tonight we ordered 2 JB ROLLS along with other things but these JB ROLLS were tasting really weird -the rice was undercooked and not a very pleasant texture when you ate it. I told the waitress who told the cook, who might be the owner, but no apologies from him and we got the check full price no comp on the rolls. I questioned the waitress about a discount for these horrible rolls and she tells us to wait and we waited a long time. Finally a new
Check comes out and there is a $3 discount of a $55 check- NEVER AGAIN!

Worst $87 spent in a long time. Food quality today was absolutely terrible. I have noticed a gradual decline in the quality and portions. Will not be dining from here again.

Honestly a very charming little Cafe. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Made it a point to try almost every kind of food they had. They have lovely lunch specials if you're trying to be economic, and they also have a bit higher end meals if that's your thing!

With my son and his fiance, eating here years ago because I lived across the street. Returned for the first time in several years. Food is delicious as always. Thai sate Chicken for appetizer, Dancing eel roll, curried chicken, sushi, and fried rice.

I've tried ordering food from this restaurant for over two years. It's dirty and dusty inside, and the "decor" is messy and disorganized. The credit card reader isn't "glued" to the table, so it moves when you try to insert your card.

When I placed my order over the phone, I asked for spicy mayo to go with my sushi. I was then told that it would take 15 minutes for my order to be ready. I arrived at the restaurant around 17 minutes later, and I was told that my food would be ready in another 10 minutes. When I explained what I was told over the phone, nothing was done. I went to pay, and then I noticed that they charged me a dollar for the spicy mayo container. I asked to speak to the manager, and it turns out that the same person who spoke with me on the phone is the manager. He said that their prices are on their menu. I said that I wasn't told that it would cost extra to get a sauce. He offered to refund the order and charge me again, so I declined to save time. I told him my concerns about his prices, decor, cleanliness, and lack of communication, and he said nothing.

I won't be ordering from this restaurant until they clean up, get rid of their clutter, and communicate more honestly about their prices. They're overpriced and rude.

P.S.: I called the manager and told him this, and he said "Ok, thank you". He doesn't care, and at this point, I don't care about his restaurant either. What a shame.

Came for Lunch before a movie. The star is for cleanliness and the waitress. Ordered Pad Thai (without onion or egg,) and a Thai Tea. The Pad Thai was SO AWFUL I couldn’t finish it. Packed it up and left the container outside another business. The Thai Tea was NOT sweet. $18 wasted.

Genuinely shocked that this place has 4.3 stars. Let me start off and say the service was as good as it good be they were SEVERLY understaffed and had one woman running around doing everything (shout out to who I presume to be the owner [bald, older gentleman] who didn't help her at all while she was dealing with sit down customers, walk-ins, calls, and take-out.

Now to the food. It was all terrible. Terrible showing of what Thai food actually is. Even if you are looking for "faster" Thai food then go to Thai Express. Ordered the jumping squid (that wasn't edible we returned it and still paid full price even though we each took one bite to try and both didn't like it) then the tigers eye was the same variation of the jumping squid just with beef and tasted...mediocre at best. Beef wasn't fresh and didn't have a good flavor profile. The gyoza were basic they had a bad oil taste. We tried conch sushi and I won't comment on that because even thoguh we didn't like it, it was out first time trying it. Cannot tell if it was the food itself or the lack of quality in the restaurant. Now onto the final entrees. I ordered a beef and broccoli dish and my boyfriend ordered a beef noodle dish. We were starving and we didn't even finish the meal. During this time we saw customers walk out due to a lack of service (which is NO FAULT to the woman working she was CONSTANTLY moving and doing the best that she could which was better than a majority of workers) and to top it all off me and my boyfriend have had the runs since dinner TWO NIGHTS AGO!!!

Overall terrible food, shotty service, gave the runs. Will never go back. Obviously there are other reviews that rate it highly so just be aware that while there may be good experiences there are such bad experiences that it may not even be worth the risk.

I performed a small intimate wedding ceremony here for a couple who invited a few of their close family and friends. This restaurant is the perfect place for some quick and special.

We go here every once in a while, it's probably the best Thai place in the area. The location on main Street is nice. As a vegetarian it's always nice to have soom good options, the tofu here tastes good and they have a few different options. We usually get the pad Thai. The veggie roll is pretty solid too. Overall it's good food. The price is great as well.

We have been coming to the Thai Cafe for years and it never disappoints. Our favorites are the sushi, which is always really fresh, the red coconut curry with shrimp, and the massaman curry. The owners and staff are super friendly and we always have a great experience dining here.

Samiti you rock!! Iv been a regular at this place for over 10 years. Food and service is the best. Iv recommended this restaurant to manny friends and they all were impressed. They will make your sushi however you like. Ask for the Brandon roll. My own personal roll lol.

This place is not good the food is mediocre the staff is not too nice or helpful and there’s a $15 credit card minimum purchase so if you dont tip more than 20% they do a horrible face. And by the way the food gave me horrible stomach pain and more if you know what I mean. Not good.

Well i got to the place a little earlier than the rest of my friends, i ask the guy to let me use the restroom while i was waiting jaja, and the guy said NO!.... He send me to the hotel in front of that place, i was like seriously! I told him we were going to eat there, and he said i can't use it, and it was urgent i mean i drive 45 minutes to get there and ughhh.... Unpleasant experience.... bad attention ... discriminatory

I went today 01/14/2019 to buy a Chicken Pad Thai and as I was eating I felt something hard on the food when I was trying to see what it was I hurt my mouth with a piece of metal. I used to like that place until now, it is NOT SANITARY and I don’t want to eat from there again since I won’t feel save or comfortable with their food. Please be more careful because I am an adult and I can only imagine what would have happened if it was a kid in my position. One less customer.

Los meseros son super atentos e incluso a uno de ellos le comentamos que habiamos ido a Thailand y estuvo un buen rato conversando con nosotros, fue una platica muy agradable. Lo recomiendo y en especial la sopa Thai Tom Yum que es mi favorita.

Our go to local asian restaurant. We ussually order an appetizer and a fried rice to share. Its enough for us but if you are a really big eater then sharing the fried rice might not be enough. I go at least once a month. No wait, quick service and for what i have experienced good food.
