I’ve visited Suan restaurant for a quick dinner tonight and I really liked it. The staff was very nice and friendly, I got a bowl of fried rice with shrimp and vegetables, and it was delicious, the rice was freshly cooked and there were a lot of shrimps, not only 3 or 4 like in most restaurants (and the shrimps were big). I preferred to sit outside as it was quiet, the food was ready super quickly and the portion was big so I couldn’t even finish it and ended up getting a to-go box. By the way, I spoke with the staff and they are all from Thailand, so this is an authentic Thai place. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Unfortunately we can no longer support them. They are okay if someone smokes cigarettes right next to your table. We came here for dinner and sat outside for fresh air after a long day at work. We are not going back there again. It is unsanitary when you are eating, and getting secondhand smoke which can easily cause serious health problems. We have been coming here for the last 7 years and won't spend anymore of our money on them.

Really don't know how this place got it's rating. Wanted to try something new but automatically regretted that decision after coming here. Crab Rangoon was yellow on the inside? Never seen that in my life. Fried rice didn't look fried and was super spicy seemed like they dropped the whole container of pepper in there and just didn't care. Ugh, just stay away from there please

The lady that waited on us was rude and no customer service . She has glasses and short hair in my tail. Not even a hello threw the menus on table and walked away . We asked a question and she came back and said read the menu . I never ordered sushi always ordered other stuff . Like I wanted to know the difference. Horrable service and to pushy for us to order and no answers so I ordered the same as always and a real nasty girl the owner needs to get people that want to work ...he is so nice never had a issue. And we live close by we really enjoyed going there but after tonight nomore . To many other Thai places

The take out of Pad woonson with chicken was so extremely spicy, I could not eat one bite. The shrimp shumai had no shrimp, all filler. Very disappointing. Total Waste of money!

It’s too bad that they are now playing Thai radio so you have to listen to Thai radio talk in the background. It’s unpleasant. I was a regular customer for many years, and when I asked them about the change in music and told them how I felt, they said they didn’t care. They think everyone loves it which I find difficult to believe because most of their customers are not Thai. I think the owner loves it and the servers love it. Not the customers. You can’t understand what the radio dj is saying and it’s tacky anyway. Who wants to listen to the radio talk while you’re eating a nice meal? The owner said, “We can do what we want.” Of course they can. But it really turned me off on the place. The music and the way they spoke to me. Very disappointed.

I spent 3 years in Thailand. This restaurant is authentic. And the prices are excellent.

What a shame that restaurant staff cannot be nice to customers.
I made reservation over a week ago for 2 for today, and I received a reminder from Google asst of my reservation time at 4:30p, and I thought I would be nice and call and tell them we were going to be much earlier, closer to 4pm. The person that answered phone did not let me finish my whole purpose for calling, starting loudly telling me they don't take reservations for 2, I tried to talk louder and say you already gave confirmation, and I got reminder. But never got farther because the person continued to say No, we don't take reservations for 2 ma'am.
Obviously, at that point, I have no choice but to cancel my online reservation that they "don't take" and go eat and give business to another restaurant. What a shame to lose a loyal customer that was trying to do right thing by not listening.

If you had a bad experience here, then you are probably a toxic person who is difficult to please. If that's the case, you should stay home or get your food to go.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. Our server was rude and unhelpful, and as a result she did not receive a tip. She then CHASED us out the door and berated us for not tipping her. Ironic isn’t it? We notified the manager about her erratic behavior and he said “oh well”. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, they treat the customers poorly and feel entitled to extra money while giving subpar service.

Ordered drunken noodles. They put 1-3 pieces of noodles and when I called and told them they made us drive all the way and didn’t even give us another order with noodles; said that that’s how much it is and gave us our order back. Extremely unprofessional and rip off. Ate a bunch of vegetables.

Went to Suan for lunch it was very delicious I recommend getting the Pad Thai. I love that it comes with the soup or salad and the food amount was perfect for the cost. It's right up the street from me as well always walk by it and very nice environment.

Nice vegetarian options. The avocado roll was a surprise; fried and with spinach but it was delicious. The sticky rice and side salad with ginger dressing was exactly what I was looking for.

Note: I am not a fan of Asian food like that...my 14 year old son is, so this review is based off his perspective.
Anyway, we were on vacation in S. Florida and he felt the need for Asian food and I saw this place listed on Google. He ordered a sushi dish called The Rolling Stone, I think and really enjoyed it.
The area was very nice and easy to get to. Service was prompt. I went a second time for him before we left to go back to our hometown.

Beef Yakisoba is tastefully amazing, good portion and I bought a side of ginger sauce!

Great little place for sushi and other amazing dishes. The service was fast and super friendly. The menu had a variety of Thai and Japanese cuisine options. The sushi was fresh, delicious, and presented very well. The price point was fantastic as well and we were able to be seated right away. I would highly recommend this over a few others sushi places close by that are over-hypted and expensive.

Suan has been my go to Thai for years!! But the last two times I ordered Pad Thai this year the noodles were bland, soggy and swimming in oil. Did they get a new chef? They used to make delicious pad Thai. What happened??

It’s so very sad, this used to be my Thai place to go to near work, today I picked up my order and the lady in the front (with glasses and short hair) didn’t even greet me, she seemed upset already, I asked for my order and paid with cash, she rudely asked if I wanted my change back, I said yes, she nodded her head and THREW the change at me! TERRIBLE customer experience! This is why waitresses like her don’t get tips. I would’ve given one star, but the extra star is for the food quality.

Just left the restaurant a few minutes ago after waiting 20 minutes in our table. Horrible serving and overpriced food.

My mom is from Thailand so she became a regular customer to this restaurant. Personally for me, the food is bland and overpriced, but I go with my mom because it’s near the house and is thai.

She always orders to-go online. Usually it’s a 30 minute wait, so we always order early, which is when the place opens at 5 pm. However, she wanted to eat in for the first time in 7 months. We went in, picked a table for 3 and for 20 minutes no one came to give us a menu, drink or even acknowledge our existence in entering the premises.

The restaurant only has one server, this mid 30’s Thai lady who just kept talking to this guy who sat behind us after we came first. Then when she left to get his drink, she literally wouldn’t leave his side. Who would have thought that after finishing her convo with him, the server would just go to the NEXT TABLE in front of us. 20-30 Minutes and still no acknowledgement.

I tried ordering at this place at 9:40pm for to go. The place closes at 10 pm but they tell me the kitchen is closed? I’m confused

Ordered a pad Thai asked to return it then they charged me for the small salad lol ; the workers here are not personable or friendly at all it seems; service was extremely slow it took forever to get out

I ordered lunch from here yesterday - the pad thai & the tempura vegetables. The vegetables were delicious, a perfect amount of tempura batter - they didn’t over do it, and the flavor of the accompanying sauce was delicious. However, the pad thai wasn’t well executed. It tasted like the pad thai sauce was imbalanced, the noodles were over cooked, and the whole thing had an overwhelming, unpleasant fish flavor. I ate a little bit before I decided to stop - I wish I hadn’t eaten any, as I was very sick last night.

It was good food. Honest prices. Ambience lacks but it is clean and I like the area.

We wish they were able to make more options not using fish sauce and frying in the same oil as the seafood considering we are vegan and allergic to shellfish. We ended up with vegetables, tofu in brown sauce, edamame and spring rolls. VERY tasty! Our other guests were very happy with their selections too!

This is the best Thai restaurant Ive been to in Fort Lauderdale. First of all my waitress was amazing. She asked me if I wanted steamed or fried tofu!! I love her. To me fried tofu is inedible.... And thats what many places bring you if you don't remember to tell them. She also asked me if I wanted white or brown rice, and the spiciness level. She got my whole order right and the food was delicious, parking is easy and the restaurant is super nice with indoor and outdoor seating. The best!

WORS EXPERIENCE EVER. I will never come back. Thats how you lose customers. First they mixed up my order. They then started to convince me that it was my order. I said okay but make my chicken well done. The lady took it back and brought it out after 5 min not saying anything. I assumed that they made it well done. Chicken was still raw. The server comes back and I ask her did they do anything with the chicken. And she says- no she can’t do anything. Okay I understand. But WHY IN THE WORLD YOU DID NOT TELL ME THAT when u brought the food back to me?

Love the food. Sushi platter was great. They are fresh. The Tom kar soup was coconut milk soup based tomyam. It was good. The pad Thai prawn was a lot, freshly cooked and flavorful.

The pad Thai is pretty good but they never make it spicy enough, even when selecting the spiciest option. The sashimi is pretty good as well but I've had just as good sashimi at Japanese buffets where you can get a whole buffet for the price of 9 slices of fish here.

Ordered the spring rolls and Chicken Pad Thai. The rolls were good, and I actually enjoyed them more without the sauce than with them (good sign). The Pad Thai was bland. Good portion size, but very little taste, and seemed oily. It was served with lemon when usually it's lime, and didn't get the strong flavors you normally do.

Food was great despite getting my order incorrect the first time. While eating I picked up a piece of hard plastic out of my red curry. I brought it to their attention, not expecting any compensation or discount, I just wanted to show them what I could have bitten into. At the end of my meal they gave me the receipt and didn't acknowledge what happened or apologize.

This was my first now last time visiting. It's the lack of courtesy and professionalism for me.

I ordered vegetable pad Thai & Shrimp Tempura roll. And the previous day I ordered shrimp tempura roll. It was so good the previous day that I was craving it again. Literally the best sushi roll I have ever had. The pad Thai was also so amazing. Everything is fresh and hot. The wasabi is fresh and pipped. The veggies in the pad Thai are crisp. I love the sushi presentation and the thoughtfulness of everything down to the half lemon ready to squeeze inside the container. Great service, great experience, delicious stylish and fresh.

FOOD POISONING on August 19, 2021. We ate Suan last night and the entire family was throwing up and had diarhea. I called to let them know and the lady who answered showed zero concern and stated to go to the doctor if you don't feel well and they can let a lawyer know. I asked for a refund and she said the owner doesn't give refunds for bad fish. You lost loyal customers who have been coming for five years now. I can't beleive you treat your customers so poorly and the woman I spoke to should be spoken to by management because she was terrible and so rude. Over the last two years, our favorite employees have left and started to work at other sushi restaurants and the food has progressively lost quality. My family and I will never come back.
