I had some that she left me? WOW!!!! THIS is our new & only spot for sushi now.... Being from Philly, we look for authentic, taste, and flavor. TRIFECTA! Only thing? Not enough napkins or soy sauce....lol. Mad that they are NOT open on Monday.... 😭

For starters, lets start with the atmosphere. From the design of the restaurant to the the other little decorations that put everything together the place is just beautiful. The food, is amazing. This place deserves nothing less than 5 stars. I just ordered the hot and spicy beef with pork fried rice. Everything from the presentation to the flavors, even the veg being cooked to perfection just blows me away every time. They even have a sushi bar which is an A+. Also, they are very affordable. This is now the only restaurant i dont mind spending my money.

Good food, I will not say great, but good food worth every penny both in taste, quality and quantity. Service was quick and friendly and helpful staff. I loved the dumplings and the Vietnamese summer rolls.

My daughter has some specific food allergies and our server went out of her way to bring us the packaging on the ingredient in question so we could read it and be sure it was safe. We appreciated this and this made the dining experience so much more enjoyable knowing there was no danger present. Will be going back in the future.

We came into town today from Ohio. This was a gem of a place for dinner. Crab Rangoon and Hangover roll was absolutely amazing. Drunken noodles were great. The service was amazingly fast and our server was attentive to our ever need. We loved it!

New owners or something? I stopped going here a while back because I didn't like how my roll tasted. Decided to order again because my daughter wanted sushi and this is the closest place to us. Her roll was cut how it's supposed to be. My 2 rolls were barely wrapped and not even cut. I'm so confused. No I didn't bother going back to ask what had happened I just threw it out because it looked horrible. Never again.

Jengdu dumplins were great! Orang chicken was over cooked and very sweet, you could tell the oil they fried the chicken and the egg roll in was old, items were very dark and flavor was off. We also ordered drunken noodles the flavor profile was right on but the rice noodles were overcooked the texture was off putting. Used to love this place. It had been a few years since we had eaten here, a few bites in and remembered why we had stopped going there we had only ordered there because the other two spots we usually order from are closed on Tuesday.

The food is usually quite good. I especially enjoy the Beef Chow Fun. Not available in many local restaurants. Also I like to compare fried rice. And there's is some of the best I've had in CT.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here! The drunken noodles are flavorful and the sushi was so fresh. The sushi rice was also very yummy. Service was super quick. Nice, comfortable atmosphere. Laid back.

Im not one that typically goes to google to write a review on a dining experience, but feel the need to after our evening at Mei Tzu. Hire more staff!!! And with experience with interacting with the public. There was one older woman taking patron orders and one other guy doing 4 jobs. The woman shouldnt be a waitress. It then took 15 minutes to be even acknowledged at our table. After finally ordering, the 1 hot meal was brought to the table - 15 minutes later the other sushi meal was brought. Had to then ask for soy sauce which took another 5 minutes to bring. Never checked on us after... Pretty bad service!! If they had any competition nearby this business would be in trouble.

Delicious food!!!

I used to come here with my wife every weekend and it was wonderful. We ended up moving close by and thought it was a no brainer to come here. Didnt get to see my wife all day because I worked and then to top it all off get told my food will be ready on the phone in 15 or 20 mins and ended up waiting 2 HOURS! Then get home and see that my food was clearly rushed and a sloppy mess... fried foods all thrown in with greesy foods .. sauce just thrown all over the sushi .. everything looked like a pile of you know what.. yeah im sorry for 100 bucks we wont be coming back. Im all set. Used to be a great place but clearly its gone down hill

I don’t understand what’s going on with this place recently but, it’s horrendous. I’ve either sat inside and received the wrong food or they have forgotten to bring my food out multiple times. Try to do a takeout order and they gave me the wrong items. Do yourself a favor double check everything before you leave and make sure they clearly understand what you’re saying.
Getting sushi in this place has also been a nightmare if someone at the table orders food you will be waiting an hour after everybody has eaten.
Never coming back here again.

They're the best of the best locally for Chinese and sushi. Always extremely friendly, you'll develop a rapport with the staff. The food is always to die for and the sushi is made to order & extremely fresh. Only Asian restaurant I'll go to! You will not be disappointed in house or for take out!!

This was my first time I ordered from this place. I was recommended to order here by a friend and I wasn’t disappointed. My first time I ordered the eel rolls with cream cheese. It was very good. I also ordered tuna, salmon, and yellowtail. The sushi was amazing and the prices are reasonable. They do have more food then just sushi. They have noodles and rice. (I haven’t tried it yet) The restaurant entrance is deceiving as the place looks a lot cozier on the inside. The place is very open and very welcoming. I would order here again.

Fast, fresh and tasty food. We especially loved the garlic shrimp. It was a small portion but had great flavor. Cute atmosphere.

Under new ownership, this once amazing spot is sadly disappointing. I hope over time they are able to make a comeback!

I have only ordered take out, but the food is very tasty and well prepared.

I tried this restaurant as a group dinner with my coworkers and was shocked at how long it took to receive our food. A total of 6 of us were sat down for an early dinner. We ordered appetizers and drinks and shortly received them. However, all members of our group ordered some type of sushi which is where the problem lie. The restaurant had a single sushi chef who struggled to keep up with the demand. I will admit that the sushi was okay but the fact that we had to wait approximately 2 hours from ordering to get our food was not acceptable. The manager provided our table with crab rangoon to appease us while we waited but the wait was far longer than expected. I hope it was just a bad night and maybe we will try again but I wouldn't recommend that everybody at a table order sushi.

Honestly, it's the best sushi I have ever had.

The food is phenomenal! Best around! Portions are generous and adequate for the price. Service is with a smile and they are on point with everything. It is our favorite local restaurant for this type of cuisine.
Golden chicken fingers are flaky and cooked to perfection. The Rangoons are big! And creamy and the consistency is spot on with flavor too! The sushi rolls are all good! Lo mein noodle have the right texture and flavoring. The sezchuan chicken has some heat to it. But it's not over powering. It's delicious! The veggies are a little crunchy, not over cooked and yucky.

Something changed there, food is not as fresh as used to be, service also changed and there is no more positive energy in this place

We used to eat here all the time. Unfortunately today was the last time we will order from here. We found a maggot in our food. We did find out they are under new owners. People were extremely rude on the phone and did not want to refund. We brought all our food back. Unfortunately this place went down hill.

I used to come by this place all the time in the summer of 2023. The flank steak lo mein was divine. I ordered it recently, and it wasn’t like I remembered - small chunks of beef, not at all like they used before. The meat was crumbly, but the rest of the noodles were good. Everything else in my meal was pretty good tho. Drunken noodles still slap

This place is a true hidden gem. I have driven by so many times and didn't realize it was there. We stopped in for lunch and it was delicious. We had salad with ginger dressing(I would buy this by the jug full of the sold it) hands down the best I've ever had. Miso soup for appetizers. Then boneless spare ribs, beef and broccoli, pork fried rice, egg rolls, and my husband got a spicy tuna roll. Everything was hot, full of flavor and the portions were decent size.

The waitress was very nice and after our meal we talked to the owner to let him know Everything was amazing.

This is my go-to Sushi place to dine and takeout!! They are consistent in their sushi and dishes which beats the other nearby places that I have in town :) Going here for lunch and dinner is a nice atmosphere to bring your friends and family to for an enjoyable meal. I honestly recommend the drunken noodles, Mai fun, sesame chicken/beef, any of their sushi like the Mei Tzu and Double Dragon fire rolls.

My S/O and I are regulars there and the host Sara is always so friendly and welcoming. The sushi here is the best around.

Food and service both top notch. The server was friendly, prompt, and thoughtful (asked if we wanted the kids food early), made suggestions. The spice level was perfect. The price was affordable. I would 10/10 recommend and would return.

Great sushi rolls, but be aware of a potential LONG wait on some weekends for takeout. If they tell you about 40 minutes, add at least 20 more to it. They told me it would be ready in about 40-45 minutes, got there 45 minutes later for them to now say about another 15-20 minutes. Waited outside for 20 minutes and went back in to hear a few more minutes. So about 10 minutes later, the order was finally ready, 75 minutes from what they originally said! They need to get their act together on timing takeout orders. That’s the second time that has happened. Generally over a weekend, so be prepared.

Very good, exceeded my expectations. All the dishes were very tasty. The best dish we ordered was the Mongolia Steak.

I've been a long time customer and have always rated this restaurant to be a high quality restaurant, that is until inflation hit. Took out a vegetable tofu and noticed a price increase, ok, no surprise but two pieces of broccoli? no carrots? only one baby corn?. I basically bought white rice with no vegetables! Well, no excuse. I'm done. They lost my business.

We had the House Chow Fun, General Tso's Chicken and Ham Fried Rice. Delicious! You can tell the ingredients are quality and the sauce and seasoning were mouth watering! It's a small place but nicely decorated on the inside. Bottomline, if you want good Chinese, go here.

The food and service alike were excellent. The pan-Asian menu offered a lot of choices across several disciplines. The fish for the sashimi was well prepared, well presented and fresh. We are relatively new to the area and this will be our go-to Asian restaurant.

If you like really great Asian fusion food, sushi really fresh ingredients, don’t miss Mei Tzu! I always start with the house salad with homemade dressing, a shrimp summer roll w fresh cilantro, and veggie and shrimp pad Thai. All gluten free, plenty to share and lunch the next day. Sara is such a nice server! The added bonus is you can bring your favorite bottle of wine🍷

This place used to be very good but has gone down hill. Order lo main got two shrimps and about three straps of checking and pork with it. So anther words got a box full of just noodles. My wife through her meal out after two bites
