The taro bubble tea was SOOO good oh my god I can still taste it π©
This is a small, nice & cozy family-owned restaurant with a fast and friendly service!
Prices were average and the food was super yummy!
The place was clean & we had such a nice experience, would 100% revisit and recommend for others to try!
In case it wasnβt obvious, please do try the taro bubble tea, itβs the best one I ever had by far!
The atmosphere was festive and clean, a bit on the small side but made it a cozy feel. The walls were a bit bare but the other decor made up for plain walls. They heated the restaurant with fashionable furniture, ex. A fireplace heater.
The food, to begin we ordered the Golden Sacks. This chicken appetizer was an explosion of flavor in a delicate, crunchy wrapping with a surprising delicious plum sauce. I would definitely recommend this as a started to a fantastic meal. We then ordered the sweat and sour chicken and the peanut sauce with chicken. The sweat and sour chicken was a proper balance of chicken to vegetables cooked to perfection, accompanied by jasmine sticky rice. Picture below. My husband had the chicken with peanut sauce, he described it as definitely for peanut butter lovers. The sauce was creamy and nor over powering. We joined our meal with Thai ice tea and Coconut bubble tea. Both were a spectacular blend of flavors tantalizing our palettes.
The service was welcoming and swift. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for exceptional food with a side of spice. π
I love Thai Pepper! Me and my wife finally found our go to Thai spot. And my wife loves Thai a lot. This place is a nice cozy spot with a nice ambiance to have the best thai around. Big portions with not so expensive prices. The shrimp shumai is really good and we always order it. Love the fried rice. And if you're thirsty, try a Thai iced tea. The best iced tea you will have and not your usual iced tea. My wife loves their spicy curry dishes. Shrimp rolls are crispy and cooked perfect. We are regulars and when we want Thai food, this is the only place we come to.
MUST eat at this Thai place! We went during the pandemic and got a duck special, coconut soup (Tom Kha) and drunken noodles and maybe something else. Everything was super flavorful and the prices were just right.
We went again this afternoon for a quick lunch and itβs just as good! Still reasonably priced, quick service and itβs cute cute cute inside. Didnβt get a pic of the food, we inhaled that good stuff!
Good spot for good food
Nice small restaurant. Good service. All 4 members of our party enjoyed the food. 2 curry dishes and 2 noodle dishes.
i have traveled to thailand many, many times and this is the absolute best pad thai & thai tea i have found around upstate new york/danbury. super authentic! what a welcome surprise, and relief, to finally have found food that tastes just as fresh and traditional as it does in bangkok! kop khun ka!! ππΌππΌ
Great food, price was right
My new favorite Thai. Cute, easy going buzy spot.
I use Tom Yum Gai as my benchmark and this place is the best I've had. I also had the prik king. Not something you usually see. Super complex and tasty. Perfectly cooked. I asked for spicy and it was.
My partner had the pad thai, which I usually find bland in a lot of places. Not here. Could taste the fish sauce and lime. Loads of pop.
My new favorite Thai.
Easily the best Thai restaurant in the area!
Every time I move to a new area I try to find the best thai food restaurant. New to the area, and I think I found the one. Iβve only gotten it as take out or delivery and itβs still really good so I can only imagine how good it would be if I ever dine in! So far everything Iβve tried on the menu is great
The taro bubble tea was SOOO good oh my god I can still taste it π©

Decent Thai food. Wasn't sure about the spice level so ordered medium. Was not too spicy and had to ask for hot sauce. The penang curry was on the watery side but had good taste. Could have done with some more crushed peanuts. Also was surprised that penang and prig khing both had green beans. Usually panang does not have beans. Great service from our waitress, Sam!
It's been a while since my last review and in the years since, this has become our go-to place for Thai food. The quality of the food and the level of service has been very consistent and good. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for good Thai food.
Fantastic restaurant! Great food, wonderful atmosphere and the best people. Try their dishes with duck - terrific. Mango sticky rice for dessert is also Highly recommended.
Absolutely fantastic food. Hands down, the best coconut soup I've had in the US. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff. I'm not from around here, but I'll go out of my way to return if I can.
Great food and service I will definitely back coming back.
Really good family run Thai restaurant in a strip mall. Service, food, and prices were all excellent. The fried tofu was fantastic - very light and super tasty. Very cozy and nice inside. Highly recommended.
My friend and I had a wonderful meal today. The coconut soup was delicious and really enough for a meal! We shared the Phad Peanut Sauce, which was also very good and we had enough left over for another meal. The service was great and food arrived piping hot, with time to enjoy the soup and fried tofu before our meal. I would definitely recommend you try this restaurant. I live about 45 minutes away and I'm planning to go back!
This place does it right. The first bite of the dish I had took me back to my time living in the south of Thailand. The spices are real!
And the workers speak English and Thai Love that.
Very pleased.
Beautiful restaurant, amazing food, authentic Thai. Stopped in for a quick bite, had pad Thai with shrimp. Thai bubble tea. Really nice. Be back soon, Kob kun kop!
The best Thai food !
We recently did take out and i was excited to be able to get some gluten free food. We found it was all noodles and very very little protein in the 3 dishes we ordered. We felt like we paid $60 for noodles. The noodles were good it not what we thought it would be. So we wont be going back. Itβs good to see many like this place. Also the woman who answered the phone asked me to order online because she was busy. Understandable but she wasnβt friendly sounding at all. And pet peeve I donβt like to be asked for a tip for take out food. I mean it goes into a bag. The bag is handed to me.
Fantastic all around. We have had Thai food all over the world and this is truly one of our top, top best and favorites. Food is phenomenal - fresh and flavorful. Incredibly friendly and attentive staff. Nice interior. Fair prices. Can't recommend this restaurant for lunch, dinner, or takeout.
The Pad see ew with beef was fantastic. Super flavorful & generous portions. Also, the limeade was delicious. Service was friendly. Highly recommend.
We've been here twice. Highly recommended. Clean, fresh, tasty food. Can't go wrong. This is our go-to spot for Thai food when we're in the area.
Definitely try the drunken noodles. And of course you can't go wrong with the pad Thai and Tom yum soup.
Thai Pepper is known for its authentic Thai cuisine and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant offers a wide range of dishes, including classic Thai favorites like Pad Thai and Green Curry, as well as lesser-known delicacies such as Larb and Som Tum. The chefs at Thai Pepper take pride in using fresh ingredients and traditional cooking techniques to ensure each dish is bursting with flavor. Whether you're a spice lover or prefer milder flavors, the menu at Thai Pepper has something for everyone. With its cozy ambiance and delicious food, it's no wonder why Thai Pepper is a popular choice for locals and visitors alike.
I've only used the take out menu, but the food portions are large and very tasty...this has become my favorite Thai restaurant.
Simply, hands down the best Thai food in the Danbury area.
Worth the driver if you're not super local.
Amazing apps (shumai, golden bags, crab fried rice!)
Good curry, pad Thai and good options.
Friendly staff too.
Always the best food and also the best service.
Not sure if it is the best, but it is the best I have been to.
Okay, my command of the names of the dishes needs work. The Pad S--- (beef) was awesome. The cashew (pork) dish that I had, likewise. The ginger soup (chicken) was surprisingly good (the lemon grass startled my tongue, then made it happy).
If you like spicy, ask for it (I wanted my dish a little hotter, but it was lovely), and my wife (keto, notwithstanding the pineapple, stole my leftovers); however, be humble or you might suffer serious burns π₯.
This is a small, family business. Please give them your support. They give a wonderful experience at a modest price.
We enjoyed our dinner very much.
Love this spot. The food is amazing every time. I love the green curry, pad Thai, shrimp summer rolls with the peanuts sauce and of course any flavor of boba.
Food was amazing!! The owner is so sweet!! Will 100% be back!

Coconut soup with shrimp was flavorful!
Atmosphere was more of a cafeteria style. Great place for takeout or a really casual lunch.
Owner screaming at the kitchen staff did not help the ambiance. But food wonderful and service otherwise great
Amazing food. Their panang curry is so good.
Amazing food, tasted fresh and delicious. Will visit again!

We moved to the Danbury area from Queens, NY - where Jackson Heights is the center of the Thai community and has Michelin rated restaurants that we patronized. While not up to Michelin Star standards, I can honestly report that after having eaten here 5 times and tasted many different dishes, that Thai Pepper serves delicious food, worthy of any local Queens neighborhood Thai restaurant. I find it far superior to all the other Danbury are Asian restaurants, that pale in comparison to their Queens counterparts.
Fantastic authenticatic food.Super service. Must stop if you are nearby and hungry :)
We ordered Drunken Noodle and Hot Basil and they were both awesome!
Good food and good service. We have overlooked this restaurant in the past as it is in a non-descript strip mall.
Food is delicious. Sticky rice and mango. Yum.
We can't wait to come back, the food and bubble tea were amazing!
I was a customer of 6 years. I wonβt ever be back, beyond embarrassing the owner tried to make of me. I come very often and when I do itβs a minimum of 80-100$β¦. Iβve spent ALOT of money over the last 6 years. Iβve continued to support them with the price increases on all the items on menu. Not anymore. The owner accused me of not tipping the waitress last time we was thereβ¦. Maybe she had us confused. I always tip when we dine IN. Not for pick up orders. she WAS our favorite waitress. The owner waited until we finished our food to come to our table and demand a reason why we didnβt tip her. I told her repeatedlyβ we always tipβ. I left a lot extra money for the accusation. I hope you enjoy the extra money. Your wrongful accusation and greed lost you a 6 year customer.
Tip for the owner: pay ur employees a living wage, donβt rely on customers to pay a WAGE. A tip and WAGE are entirely different. Next time donβt accuse, ask. Because you were WRONG.

Very nice cute place
I tried hot basil stir fry beef and it was delicious and spicy. Nice atmosphere and good service.
I have not had this good food in restaurants for while. And I do spend lots of money on eating out. I am so glad I found this place. I am still amazed how good they are. Vegetable soup made me want to hug bowl. And amazing padh ginger
Excellent food! me and my mom love to come here on nights we wanna treat ourselves! my go to restaurant:)
I love Thai food, but I find Thai Pepper mediocre. This is my second time ordering from them and found the food just ok. First time I ordered Pad se ewe, this time Pad Thai. Both times the noodles looked pale, no color at all. Pad Thai tasted ok but was just as plain as the bamboo shoots. They did not mix in all of the other stuff other restaurants typically do that makes it both colorful and flavorful. This is something I can do from home with boxed rice noodles. Also, the Thai ice tea was waaayyy too sweet. I called and they said put water in it. How about I not get charged $5-6 for a cup of sugar. Very disappointed. Won't be ordering here again.
Best Thai in Danbury. Eat here often when home in CT. Have never had a bad meal here. Food is flavorful and delicious.
Highly recommend! All the dishes are delicious. My husband and I frequent this establishment. The owners are very friendly and kind. We love supporting a small business. Definitely try the curry puffs, golden bag, pad thai, duck curry, and Thai tea! You wonβt be disappointed!
It was excellent. I tried the drunken noodle with beef and pad Thai. Great price and portion, fresh and delicious.
Had a nice time here. Servers were friendly. The food is very tasty. The peanut sauce is fabulous. Worth a try!
I love coming to this place. The food is excellent & service is always good. Btw.. their portions are very generous on the wine. Im a happy customer.
This is the 2nd time Iβm ordering from this restaurant and Iβm surprised bcoz the first time we dined here, I liked the food. But this time I was really disappointed, I ordered a spicy basil chicken fried rice which turned out so bad, the rice was all watery and bland.
Delicious. Cute seating.
Best Thai resturant in the greater Danbury area! Every time I go there the staff is helpful and the food is top notch. They have really great vegetarian and vegan options too. Almost everything can be done with tofu or veggies I think. Also if you like things spicy like I do they will prepare the dishes βThai spicyβ if you ask nicely. If you don't know what to get I say try the vegetables spring rolls, they are a great starter and the drunken noodles has never let me down as a main dish.
Excellent will be back
Wonderful Thai food!
And super friendly service!
Local go to for Thai. Delicious and authentic.
The food was authentic and fresh. Loved our visit and I can't believe we waited to long to try this place out.
Pad Thai is really excellent, quick and friendly staff.
Great Local Spot!! Check them out.
I have been eating Thai food for years, my wife and I had high expectations for this place. I would like to start off by saying that this place left me feeling a bit disappointed. I had ordered the red curry and the dumplings, this was not the best red curry I have ever had, the food felt a bit watered down and did not have much flavor which is very unusual for this kind of dish, I would also like to say that one of the two ladies may not have been having a good night because she seemed a bit snippy and was not happy if I asked her to repeat something twice. The dumplings had really not much flavor either I cannot speak for the rest of the items on the menu after all this was my first time. I Really canβt say if this is how this place usually is or not ; after all it was late on a Sunday 45 min before closing.
Good food, friendly efficient service. Small restaurant. Pretty authentic Thai food...how do I know, they give you a spoon to eat, not chopsticks as no chopsticks in Thailand!
Good service, food can be better
Good and tasty thai food.
Nice service.
Good value.
Got drunken noodles with vegetables and requested eggplant be included and no onions. Got a nice mix/variety of veggies. Heat level at 2.5 out of 3 was the perfect amount of burn. Heat was incorporated into the food, which I like. Friendly experienced staff.
Always delicious and accommodating for food allergies!
Delicious food, wait staff was very attentive. Our new favorite!
Waitress extremely attentive. Food was excellent. Sake was perfectly chilled.
Love the veg options. Curries are amazing!
Long wait. But good.
Ordered the food and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. Arrived 35 minutes later and they hadnβt started making it yet. When we got it home, the green curry was extremely watery. Flavorless. Wonβt be returning.
Tried Thai Pepper for the first time tonight. Had a difficult time deciding what to get because everything on the menu sounds delicious! Went with tofu summer rolls, coconut soup with vegetables, vegetable drunken noodles and roti. Are the summer rolls in the parking lot. They hit the spot. The warm spicy peanut sauce was amazing! Can't wait to get home to try the rest.
Left a review 2 years ago , which was 5 star. This time I picked up my order. The person behind the register was also serving tables which is fine but she cleaned up some dishes stuck her thumb in someones left over food than proceeded to finish my take out order without washing her hands. Had to throw out the bubble tea as she put her fingers right on the brim before closing it.
Great food

I don't write bad reviews often, and I take this very seriously, but my experience was so bad tonight that I just had to let people know. I drove 30 minutes from NY to have dinner with my children who were craving Thai food. Their website says they are open until 9PM on a Monday night. Their Google My business site says they are open until 9PM on a Monday night. We arrived at 8:20. We were told "Sorry the dining room closes tonight at 8:30, we want to leave early, but you can do take out". (Again, we were there at 8:20 PM) I told the hostess that we just drove all the way from NY, a 30 minute drive to try their restaurant, and when I asked why does it say you serve until 9PM on your website and on your Google My Business Page the woman again replied, "we want to leave early tonight, but you can do take out". There were still other people dining in the restaurant too, that were clearly nowhere near done with their dinner. So, with two hungry children in tow, I ordered takeout. 3 small soups, 1 pad thai, and two drunken noodles. Almost $70. VERY Small portions and "average" at best food, and that's being generous. What a HUGE disappointment on so many levels. Do yourself a favor and find a different restaurant. You can definitely get better food and WAY BETTER customer service at many other places that actually deserve your business. Thai Pepper should actually be ashamed of themselves. If you want to close earlier then change the time on your website and on your Google My Business Page. If you don't want to change the times that YOU LISTED, then at least honor them. Customers make dining decisions based on information that YOU provide. Tonight you ruined the evening for my children and I. We won't be back.
Great food, actually spicy food!!
Beautiful restaurant, excellent food, lovely staff. Will be visiting again to try all the other dishes.
Excellent Food! EXCELLENT Service! Excellent
Prices a little Gem!
Excellent food! We thoroughly enjoyed what we had!
Excellent food and I have eaten at many Thai restaurants
Love this place.. food is awesome and people are very friendly.... defenily recomend....
My wife and I have been going here since they were just a tiny little restaurant. We love it. In fact itβs not very convenient to where we live, but itβs worth the drive to Danbury. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious (especially the papaya salad and the red & green curries) and the atmosphere is always inviting.
Great Thai food and the service is always quick. The owner is also very friendly especially with my little kids.
The food is meticulously prepared. Every dish is deeply flavorful. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. If when you leave a restaurant, you talk about the food and not the price you have found a restaurant to which you'll want to return. Thai Pepper has never failed to satisfy us.
We really enjoyed the panang curry and pad thai
I havenβt delved too deep into the menu yet, but the Thai Pepper Duck Curry has me coming back time and time again.
Very good with a wider-than-normal variety of options. Ambiance is nice and staff is very nice too.
Excellent service and value.
First time here...the food was very good! Portion sizes decent, as were the prices. Attentive wait staff, nice Ambience. Will return.
Aroh mak mak ka. Never fails as always.
Excellent Thai food. Surprisingly great wine as well.
OMG, what a find! Thanks Google! Excellent drunken noodles and green curry. Friendly staff and very accommodating. Miss the slight smokey flavor in our favorite Thai restaurant in Mechanicsburg, Pad Thai, but still excellent
Stopped for take out. Very high quality
Spices are dead on. Awesome food. Will definitely be back.
We ordered Pad Thai, a Penang Curry and Fried Rice. The food was excellent. The curry sauce was very tasty. I would absolutely order here again.
Wow - love this place! Thai Pepper has a very large, wonderful menu that will appeal to everyone including vegatarians. The food is cooked to order and is fresh, colorful and flavorful. The interior is smallish (but dont worry about reservations) and quiet, cozy with relaxing music in the background, very very comfortable. There is a small but carefully crafted selection of beers, wines and drinks to accompany your dinner experience. My vegetable stir-fry with duck was FANTASTIC, and it was enough that some came home with me. If you're reading this review don't hesitate, you'll love it.
Food is always amazing. Having celiac disease I appreciate having many options for safe gluten-free meals.
Good food.
I have been to Thai restaurants in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego and all around Connecticut. Thai Pepper is up in the ranks when it comes to flavorful and authentic Thai food. This place is my go to for when I miss my birth country and it never disappoints! A+!
We've been to 15 different Thai restaurants in several states, and Thai Pepper in Danbury, CT is last on the list for flavor and food quality.
Customer service was good, and the restaurant is clean. A+ for restroom cleanliness.
Our Satay chicken appetizer was conservative on flavor. The Tom Kha soup was the most flavorful dish, but it had a somewhat sour aftertaste.
The Massaman Curry shrimp 1) tasted more watery than the usual savory coconut curry flavor, 2) had soggy carrots and potatoes in it, and 3) tasted as if the vegetables and shrimp were added to the watery curry mixture at the last minute. They lacked flavor. The Panang Curry chicken was good but not competitive.
The restaurant atmosphere is cozy, and other guests seemed to enjoy their meals. But we were disappointed.
Best Thai food anywhere in Fairfield county. The one place that compares to west coast Thai food. Donβt ever change! Havenβt had a disappointing dish yet! The new dining room is pretty and the service is always good.
Just super! loved the Fresh rolls & peanut/chili sauce was spectacular. Vegan/Vegetarian options. Really enjoyed. Popular so servers can be busy!
Among the best Thai food I have ever had!
I absolutely adore this place. The food is consistently great and the staff are wonderful. I am so happy to see that they expanded and are thriving. Highly recommend the drunken noodles and spring rolls !
de li cious
This is a cozy spot in a convenient location. The Thai food is delicious, and I have gone there several times with different family members. The new expansion is tastefully decorated, and they usually play relaxing music. Try the coconut rice with mango for dessert!
Delicious food and great Thai iced tea. I had the drunken noodles and loved em.
Chicken satay and Tom yum soup are good
The perfect cuisine, simple and yet attractive. Their dishes are amazing, try their soups and especially their thai curry. This is so far the best thai restaurant I've ever been to.
Excellent people very great food
Good vegetarian options. Great taste.
Good was delicious! Great service. Definitely returning!
Will definitely try again because the reviews are so good, but the drunken noodle didn't have a lot of flavor. Honestly it was mostly heat and oil π but will try again!
I like the duck meat and coconut soup.
Nice staff, great food.
Absolutely amazing! Best Thai I have ever had! Wasn't expecting it when I saw the place (ok ambiance, but amazing food)
