Relaxed restaurant offering homestyle Thai classics such as curries, noodle soups & stir-fries.
Tried Thai Steller for the first time today, at my husband's request. He had visited a few times previously. I had the Drunken Noodles with beef and he had the beef fried rice. We also had the fried tofu for appetizer. I will say; I am NOT a fan of fried tofu at all and I LOVED IT!!! The Beef Drunken Noodles were SUPERB; probably the best I have had. The beef fried rice had such a good flavor too! We were very impressed. I will also note that the waiter made special requests to both of my parents who had never been to a Thai place before. My mom has a lot of food allergies and is very limited to what she can eat; my dad is just very picky and did not know what he would like. So the waiter worked with them to choose something safe for both of them to enjoy. The ambiance is really nice too!! We chose a table as opposed to booth and I was glad we did! You definitely will not be disappointed!!!
I just had the best meal and service. We were unsure of our heat level tolerance and the food was a little spicy. Upon hearing this, our servers added coconut milk that made the food perfect for our sissy taste buds. All our servers were gracious and positive. The food was fresh! No soggy veggies that sat in soup all day. My new Thai go to. Overjoyed!
We’ve been here a few times and thought I’d finally comment. Starting with the positives, the place is very clean, spacious, and the service can be great highly dependent on when you go. Going on the weekends after 5-8PM, you will be battling with Door Dashers while you’re dining in. Not a major deal, but if you’re in a hurry, try the non peak times.
A lot of their popular Thai dishes rival others in the area. We especially like their whole fried fish which is fresh and has a flavorful sauce. Their Penang curry is packed with protein which a lot of places don’t have. Their drunken noodles are also fantastic.
Speaking of fried fish, we wanted to try out another flavor from what we usually order. After receiving it, it was clear it was the wrong fish. The waitress insisted what she brought was the correct one.
Fine, maybe the appearance is similar but taste is different. Nope, was the same fish as we have gotten a couple of times already and the waitress doubled down that we got the correct order. Between the language barrier and how busy was the restaurant, and how busy the place was, it was clear they did not want to remake one for us.
Don't love the area, but truly stellar Thai food brings us back. Lots of memories and great food. We had egg rolls and Chicken Satay apps. Red curry (1 spice level) and sticky rice, and Pad Thai noodles with scallops. And my grandaughter loves the milk tea and tapioca. A tiny bit slow on service, but it was a busy evening. Very affordable and very generous servings.
This place has the best Thai food I've ever experienced. Everything is amazing from the Tom Yum to the egg rolls, to the Thai Iced Tea.
Don't let the exterior fool you, this place is one of the best restaurants around. Definitely will be back.
The service, food, atmosphere and overall experience was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great food, great service, and great atmosphere!
Great food, excellent service. Their papaya salad is the best 👌...
Great food!! Great service.
Is delicias
Excellent. I stumbled onto this place. What a great find.
Excellent atmosphere, great food, and stellar service. My girlfriend and I ate here. Only $32 dollars total. They gave us a choice in spice levels, 1-5. I asked for a 6 or 7 and they went the extra mile. The place seems like it would be way more expensive. We will definitely return.
Excellent food & service!!!
Rice clean restaurant.
Love the mango sticky rice so much, I like the overall vibe of the place it’s very comfy and the service is amazing!
The mussaman curry is absolutely amazing!!!

Today I tried Thai food for the first time ever and it was so delicious!!! The food her is amazing and so is the service. The people were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. This is one of my new favorite restaurants.
I’m dissatisfied with their menu, less option for vegetarians, they don’t have fried spring rolls in veggie or neither Tom yum soup in veggie options…staff friendly is friendly…food is not that presentable that showing in menu..
Excellent food…
Best thai food around. We eat here often. Great atmosphere.
Buen sabor y tamaño
À really good asian restaurant.

Muy buen lugar, comida exquisita 👌🏼
Today, my family and I went out for dinner at around 8:50, knowing the restaurant closes at 9:30. Before sitting down, we asked if it was still okay to dine in, and they said yes. While ordering, I requested the eggs from my dish to be served on the side, as my kids prefer them separately, but they informed me they couldn't do that. We were fine with it. However, as it got closer to closing time, the waitress kept coming over to take away our plates, even though we still had food on them. She stood by as we packed up our leftovers, making us feel rushed.
Me and my fiancé went to eat there and we dined in , food was great and all but after getting told several times that if we were paying with card we cannot include the tips .. after paying and walking out cashier lady followed me and my fiancé all the way to the car to tell us “ NO TIP” and we told her that she told us we couldn’t and that we don’t carry cash she got mad and said that they all work by tip not hourly and she repeated again NO TIP , so I said I’m sorry we can’t since we don’t have cash with us and got told we couldn’t tip if paying with card and SHE TOLD US NEXT TIME TO EAT AT HOME ! after my fiancé tried speaking with manager all he got told was that when eating there TIP IS MANDATORY . We never had a problem like this at any restaurant as I am aware tip is optional but why should I tip a cashier that didn’t serve me at my table and also my fiance had to keep looking for our server to come and bring him soy sauce
If I could give this place zero starts I will for the customer service, the food was great but for the cashier lady to follow me all the way to my car and tell me “No Tip” after she done told me I couldn’t tip if I was paying with card . So I said i don’t have cash if not I would and she literally said they all work on tip not hourly and for me to next time EAT AT HOME . I tried speaking with the manager AND ALL I GOT TOLD WAS THAT EATING THERE TIP IS MANDATORY , so just giving a heads up if planning to eat there you WILL have to tip.. P.S In order to be tipped you have to provide GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE
Great place
Our favorite local Thai food experience! Always friendly and always delicious!
I'm in this area frequently and have been meaning to stop by! Today I had a long lunch period so I stopped in. I ordered 2 appetizers, mussels and an order of egg rolls! As my entrée I ordered beef curry! EVERYTHING and I do mean EVERYTHING, was SO GOOD!! My only complaint is that I didn't come in sooner! I'm so glad I found a new place to eat at! ☺️
Good food, good service.
very good thai restaurant in an ordinary strip center. contemporary thai interior with signs and posters highlighting thai culture and mellow lighting. oh and the food... hot, fresh, and delicious! i had the cellophane noodles with squid and thai iced tea for $20. hit the spot all day long. i will be back again 😋🇹🇭
Attentive service, tasty food, vegan and vegetarian options. Enjoyed the drunken noodles today!
Was in the area and stumble upon this place . Ordered the food to go, food was fresh and tasty. Service was exceptional. Definitely coming back next time I'm in the area.
Green curry is my favorite. Best food.
Fried rice too oily.
Please is very nice and clean... pretty decent thai food, very americanized but still nice. The wait staff is amazing! Ask for Belle she'll take care of ya.
Kind servers and fast service of tasty food. Me and my partner were happy and will return.

Highly recommend! Drunken noodles are some of my favorite and the pad Thai was perfect
Decided to go here after a long day of work and it was the most satisfying experience ever! The food was amazing. Probably the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had. It was tasty, hot, and perfectly spiced. We also ordered the Satay chicken, Drunken Noodles, Red Curry, and Fried Rice. All really good. Portion sizes are huge. Each dish could serve two people easily. Atmosphere and vibe was laid back and lowkey! Highly recommend!
This has been a go to spot for me for a decade! The massaman curry is delicious and the drunken noodles are great too!
First time to this place- on a recommendation from a friend. The food was excellent. From the Thai Unsweet Ice tea to the stellar Mago sticky rice- the food and service was excellent! We will definitely be going back there again! Oh, and do order the mango sticky rice- best in town. 💗
Fantastic food, with atmosphere. Love the remodel, surprisingly quiet and intimate. Excellent service. BYOB.
thai stellar is our go to for takeout food! They have the best pineapple fried rice & curry!
Food was Ok , service was great, atmosphere very welcoming.
Delicious Thai food, one of the best in Clear Lane.
Came here today for lunch. The tomyam soup, padthai and pineapple fried rice is very good 👌 Loved the full on service too. Will definitely come back for the food 😋
Amazing
Delicious Thai food in the clear lake area!
Great service, food and prices. Bonus it has been around for 25 years.
Excellent Thai food
We live out on the Westside not too far from Bellaire. Coming down to visit my parents once in a while and we decided to try this place out. I got the beef soup and my wife the drunken noodles and a cup of hot Thai tea. It was all very good and we definitely will be coming back and telling friends and family to check it out.
The soup and the tea were nothing like I've had before. Nothing like pho and the tea unlike any other black tea. It was all different, pleasant, and delicious.
Good Thai food, can be spicy, be careful
Place is beautiful inside and their menu is short and to the point. Great curry and delicious pad thai
The best Thai food in town ! Consistent excellence Every time we come!
I have liked the atmosphere and food was great too. Every item we ordered was tasty. The pineapple fried rice was a stand out. Try it out if you are here.
My wife's favorite is Drunken noodles
She loves it, and l tried shrimp fried rice
I really liked it, Good Quality and quantity at the good price!
It was a clean facility and lots of the tables were occupied by families!!
I love Thai food. It's different from the Thai food I've had in the past. The taste is not my favorite. Pad Thai and Papaya salad was ok. But the green curry was not bad. It's a decent dinner.
Delicious Thai food! I'm glad I stumbled across this place. I will be coming back frequently!
Great food.. curry is some of these best we’ve had and the pad Thai is good as well as the pad see-ew is among the best .
The best thai food in the area, but sometimes they miss the mark with the spicyness. I like spicy food but my wife and kids do not so we always order a mix of "ones" and "threes" and in our latest order everything except the pad thai was too spicy for my family to eat. Great for me! Terrible for everyone else. Combined with a hilariously long DD delivery that was so slow I halfway expected to be handed pancakes, it was not a great experience.
I love their wide flat rice noodles here. They have the perfect chewiness. I always get the drunken noodles, chicken, spice level 3. Again the noodles are super wide, which I love! I tell myself that I will only eat half and save the other half for later since the portions are decent, but somehow I always end up eating the whole plate by myself… this is a gem in the southeast Houston area! Great service and friendly staff.
Panang curry is also very good.
I’ve only come here for dinner so can’t say much about how their lunch service here.
My favorite Thai place in the area. I have been going for 8+ years. Portions have gotten smaller since COVID, but the price is still decent and the quality hasn't changed one bit. It is still fantastic. I highly enjoy the peanut curry and the way they cook their tofu for the pad thai is yummy 😋
Just wanted to say, I came here because my favorite Thai restaurant in CL is sadly closed for permanent.
Now, upon walking into Thai Stellar I was hit with a pungent "old mildew" smell like the building is old. I brushed it off and was hoping the food would be as good as Thai Cottage.
I wanted fresh tofu spring rolls which I was told they only have the fried ones. So I instead chose the appetizer fried tofu with sweet sour sauce with the main course of green curry.
The appetizer came out at the same time as the main course which was stupid. The tofu was fried and bland. The sweet sour sauce was ehh, but nothing special. They didn't give me enough sauce for the amount of tofu sticks.
The rice to the green curry had gotten cold quickly and the green curry was lackluster in flavor. It tasted watered down and didn't have the flavor nor scent that I was looking for.
The staff in the dining room will stand and stare at you while you eat. I did not like that very much. The hostess and busser stood in the back of the restaurant and was looking at me eat. I know this because when I looked their way, they were looking at me. This made me very uncomfortable.
This is my last time here. The food isn't good nor tasty. It felt like I was eating at a low budget Chinese restaurant. Oh and I must mention that I came in at lunch time and the restaurant had a full lot, but it wasn't much people inside.
Curries and soups overly diluted with no flavor, not even close to Thai food. Unfriendly signage as you enter. Not worth spending your money.
The staff is super nice and the food always great. Reasonable prices. A very comfortable and reliable thai place :)
Great place for Thai food. Their Pad Thai, fried rice, and Tom Khan soup are delicious. It's our favorite spot in the area for great tasting Thai food, and the staff is always friendly.
Food was excellent, with large portions and very reasonably priced.
Great Pad Thai Chicken, absolutely fantastic flavor, plating, temperatures and spice level was spot on to the requested levels.
Restaurant looks great on the inside. Well decorated and atmosphere!
Dessert was over priced, $9 for traditional mango sticky rice dessert. Most dessert was $9.
Forgot to get names ,but the whole staff was amazing and treated my daughter like a princess 🫶🏻 food was very good and fresh also got dessert everything was perfect Highly Recommend
Had the best experience, portions were big for dinner and everything tasted amazing!
Top notch Massaman Curry with chicken, level 3 spice!! Great service and good price.
Great Thai tea's. Delicious food and great staff service! I enjoyed my experience at this restaurant, definitely will return.
The food was delicious. Although, the papaya salad portion was kind of small. The drunken noodles menu item describes there being basil in the dish but if the customer says there isn't enough, you shouldn't charge the customer to add a little more. With that said, I would still give this place a shot even though the area is not great, the food is. If I am in the mood for Thai food and in the area I will be back again.
This was hands down the best restaurant meal we have had in a very long time. We had chicken satay, pineapple fried rice, pad thai, and fried banana ice cream. Everything was so delicious that nothing in our area will compare.
I ordered Tom Yum soup and drunken noodles :) It was very flavorful and delicious
Food is good and authentic. What makes this restaurant stand out from other Thai restaurants is their interior plus their amazing customer service. Very friendly staffs here. I hope your business will continue to grow and more customers will visit here. Very well deserved 5 starts
Very bad experience. Would never come here again!
They did nickel-and-dime for little things as extra rice ($2.75 a bowl) , and hot chili sauce ($2) . Service was so so but automatically added 18% for tips. Food was just ok
All the dishes we got were really well seasoned and flavorful without being too salty.
True to its name. Its stellar. Spice level 3-4 is really good.
Best Thai we have had in YEARS!!! Service was "stellar" and the food was better. If you're near this place and hungry, go eat there!!!
Great food and service!
Some of the best Thai food I’ve had.
Best Thai food in Texas
Best Thai food in Houston!!
Can never call them. They either need to change their hours or fix their phone because this is getting ridiculous
Chill atmosphere and attentive staff. The panang curry was delicious. Level 1 spice had the perfect warming effect.
Mango sticky rice yipee
Food is good, the protein appears to be rationed. Perhaps they are merely tightening their belt in this economy..
Maybe we were just super hungry, but everything tasted very good! The coconut soup was not like I’ve had elsewhere, but still very good. All in all it was a great experience.
Very nice waiter who clearly explained all the food allergy warnings and what dishes contained what type of meat/fish.
Great place for thai.
Food is good if they actually make what you order. I sadly don't have the highest spice tolerance and so i order on the low end of the scale (0 or 1). Sadly more than one time I have received my food and the restaurant has decided that I didn't really mean that spice level and changes it to much more spicy and makes my food inedible. This has happened when dining in and ordering to-go. When it happened during dining in I had to complain 3 times for them to take me seriously. There wasn't 1 piece of that order that wasn't visibly covered in red Thai Chilies. i was told that the kitchen changed the level cause they didn't think it was the right order input.
Frustrating to say the least when you spend money on food you cant eat and cant just leave work gin to get it fixed once you figure it out cause the spice level is not written on the container.
Thai Stellar is not at all a good option for dining. We went there being fans of Big Bowl - Chinese and Thai restaurant, but it was a wrong choice. We ordered Thai green curry and there was basically NO curry in it at all. Just vegetables. We asked our server if they could add extra curry to keep it from being so dry and he’s like it would have to be a whole new order. We also got noodles. When we ordered we told our server specially that we want the proper spaghetti noodles and he gave us something completely opposite. We also ordered Jasmine tea and thought it would be the traditional anti-oxidant tea, and GUESS WHAT? It was water with a tea bag for $3!The servers were also so arrogant and rude. It was a really bad experience and if there was a 0 star option here I would give it.
For all my spicy folks, I ordered a level 4 (max spicy level is 5) smoked chilli with combo meat. This dish was delicious but I would say go to level 5. Level 4 heat is smiliar to sriracha or cholula hot sauce. A combo meat consist of chicken, beef, and pork. The chicken satay appetizers with the peanut sauce is a must to get.
Will not go here again. Only three or four shrimp per entree. Like ordering stake and fries and getting all fries and one cube of stake and being charged for full stake meal. Food taste and presentation at best mediocore.
Delicious!! Wish they had crispy chicken but otherwise perfect
Best thai food I have ever had. The green curry was hands down the best I’ve ever eaten. The flavors were so perfect. I got a spice level four and it was hot but not so hot that I needed water or had lingering heat in my mouth. The sauce was perfectly creamy. I got it with chicken and thought it complimented the flavors perfectly.
The restaurant is BYOB so if you want alcohol, you need to bring it.
I will come back every time I am in Houston.
I ordered pad thai and my sister ordered green curry. We also ordered the egg rolls and the chicken satay. Every thing was a little more expensive than I would've liked but not terrible except for the chicken satay. For how much you get with that order I would say $10 is a little much and would've been more comfortable paying like $7-$8.
Before any food we ordered came out we were given side salads and a bowl of tom yum, salad was okay but tom yum vegetables were grossly over cooked. Both entrees had a fishy aftertaste. The curry was super watery and the rice was undercooked. The pad thai was fine except for the aftertaste however I ordered it at a 4 out of 5 spice and struggled to call it a 1 spice.
The food was amazing!
I don’t give five starts lightly but they deserved it.
I am a Thai food lover and this may be the best and most flavorful Thai food I’ve had in Texas. Better than Thai food I had in Thailand, and only a half step behind behind my all time favorite Thai place. I ordered Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, and Curry, my three favs. Normally love Pad Se Ew and Pad Thai equally so I’m really torn on what to order but here I definitely preferred the Pad See Ew and Curry to the Pad Thai, but all still so good. Also for those who don’t/do like spicy, you get to select the heat level for everything. I don’t do spicy and my family does and we were all VERY satisfied.
Place is always closed, but 2nd time in a row, It's 3.30pm today. The operating times are advertised on the door. What's the deal?
Friday night was not really busy. Service was okay. Food was not to die for.
Very good customer service and delicious food.
Great soups, great service!!!
Tastes like Original Thai
รสชาติเหมือนในไทย
Feel like home
My family really enjoyed this place. We really liked theirs food and customer service.
Food and service was good. Pricing has caught up to the general Inflation .Had a nice dinner here with my kids.will visit again!
This is one of the best Thai spots in town, we love the variety of dishes and drinks they have to offer. Hopefully they fixed their a/c issue, because last time it was very musty and hot there, but I do understand issues happen. This alone will not affect my review, as the food was still great.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is due to the night club next door, it really ruins the atmosphere and the parking availability on the weekends. I'd start having them towed, because it's ruining your business. If the club can't find appropriate parking for their drunks then they need to move their business to another part of town. For this reason alone I will never go there on a weekend.
Always a huge sum tom lover extra hot and chicken
The staff is as outstanding as the food. We started with Egg Rolls and hubby had Mussels. All delicious. I had Chicken Pad Thai. It came out hot and so flavorful. I love Pad Thai and for the first time decided to actually squeeze the two pieces of lime over the dish. Wow! They know what they’re doing. Hubby had Tofu Curry and loved it. We will be back!
Very disappointed .... yeah, inflation ....but seriously? $16.99 for a pineapple curry dinner, chicken and beef..... 2 Thai iced teas $6.... extra rice and extra meat is $16? AND, there's really not much meat in this...I won't be going back to this location.
Their curry is watery as I've never seen it before...
Really good, you will not be disappointed! Inside is a nice place to dine too.
Thai Stellar lives up to the name. The green curry was awesome and they use good cuts of beef. The Thai iced milk tea was one of the best I've had. Would definitely recommend it.
Photo is of Drunken Noodles with Shrimp.
Best that I’ve ever had! I also ordered the peanut curry with chicken. Amazing! And the Tom Kha Gai soup. Fragrant and delish! If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. The staff is also really warm and friendly. Thankfully they are right down the road from work. I’ll be back!
Food is always amazing here. A great local gem. Favorites are Pineapple curry and drunken noodles. Never had anything I didn't like from the menu, and service is always attentive. Usually I order heat level 4 (of 5) which has just the right kick, nothing too intense. Portions sizes are large resulting in tasty leftovers!
I love this place. The taste and spice of the food can be a little inconsistent but it’s always very good. It is my favorite place to get Tom Kha soup.
Great place, yummy food!
Awesome spicy Thai food, best Thai I have eaten in a long time, my kids and I loved it (lunch portions are generous)
I’ve only had the red curry and the soup with the coconut milk in it still Best Thai I’ve ever had and to top it off the service is great and a very nice setting as well.
It's not every day you experience bad customer service. But today is the day for me.
I ordered 2 drunken noodles and chicken satay over the phone. I came and picked it up. Went home to my finance was confused... I was missing veggies, the chicken satay and even the chopsticks. I called them and asked what happened, (because I paid $30+) and she took down my name and phone number and told me they would fix it for next time... "Next time"... What does that mean??? She barley spoke English and was telling me she wasn't gonna do anything. Never again
Food and service was great. We enjoyed our time here
Food is really good.
