There is elaborate seating inside and outside the restaurant but it gets cold outside during the evenings. The place offers take out. The staff is also very helpful as they explain each dish we are interested in and recommend dishes according to our interests. I will definitely be visiting again just for the love of good Thai food and the ambience of the place.

I said I ordered cashew nut so ???? And he brought me raw nuts. I asked him about my order. He didn’t have a straight answer. My dish was not spicy. I believe pointing to the item on the menu didn’t help with the language barrier. Pretty mediocre… like going to a fancy place only to be disappointed with service and quality of food. Go to Herb and Spice in Simi. I regret coming here after taking my car to the dealer nearby. Should’ve just driven to what I know is best. Great ambience though (ponds) but doesn’t match up.

One of the best Thai places around Thousand Oaks. The food is just part of the experience. The outdoor seating with sounds of waterfall, and a small pond with ducks is a serene experience. It's good to visit in the evenings in summer so that the heat doesn't kill you.

We usually like this place. Portions are always small, but the flavor is good. Tonight was a total bummer. Placed the order at 5:48. OK, it's Mother's Day, so when she tells me it *might* take until 7:30 to get our food, I agreed. Food did not arrive until after 8:00--almost two and a half hours from when we ordered. (See photo) Soft shell crab appetizer was the skimpiest portion ever--Half of what we usually get, and lukewarm. Surrounding it with lettuce did not fool us. (Photo) Tom Ka Gai soup contained a few shreds of chicken and three--count them three--mushrooms. Entrees were equally light on the protein. If you are running out of food, be honest and we'll order elsewhere and then come back. After tonight? Maybe not.

I started going to Pookie’s probably from the first month she opened the restaurant in another location. I was a loyal weekly customer for 10 years until I moved away. Definitely get the Westlake roll, she invented it and no one else can make it as good. I tried and failed! I also love the monsoon noodles, all the curries and the fried banana dessert. I miss you Pookie! Thank you for making me comfort food!

This restaurant is tucked in a business complex with a lil man made pond which gives it a relaxing and hidden environment, which is part of the appeal. I’ve never come when it’s too crazy busy, but always steady and it seems like a place where there are local regulars who also enjoy the chilled out environment. The dishes are very tasty, if a bit americanized, and we’ve always received friendly service, the table outside we want, and a good experience. They have a huge variety in the menu and alcohol also.

I absolutely adore this place! Pooky is incredible and so sweet. I instantly feel comfortable whenever I come in. The food is incredible and the service is great too. The menu is fairly big, but I've yet to have anything on the menu that has been disappointing. It's a great restaurant for families and groups. The setting outside is gorgeous as well, with a beautiful garden and pond right next to the outdoor seating. The restaurant is a bit hard to find in the complex, but it's totally worth it. The food is also well-priced as well, you get way more than you pay for in terms of quality.
I really recommend the Pad Thai and the Massaman Beef Curry.

I love the atmosphere and the scenery. The trees, plants, and water features really made it beautiful. The food was flavorful and it came very quickly. We especially enjoyed the duck!

This is a wonderful Thai place in Westlake Village! The atmosphere is really nice and you can sit outside next to the relaxing pond with the sound of flowing water. The staff is very friendly and the customer service here is top notch! You can substitute ever dish's meat for tofu, which is very vegan and vegetarian friendly. Dish #41 was not too spicy at all even though it had 2 chilli peppers next to it on the menu. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the thai iced tea wasn't as good as I was expecting, although I did substitute coconut milk which maybe why. I would recommend and will be back again!

I test each Thai Restaurant I go to by their Pad Thai. This was without question one of, if not THE BEST, I have ever had. It’s creamy, perfectly balanced and quite delicious! Everyone was gushing over their food also. The sadness is that it’s not in the greatest location and therefore doesn’t have close to the customers it deserves!!

You won’t be disappointed here. Pookies is the BEST!

Specialty Dr. Glenn Duck Dish is spicy and satisfying, but expensive, and the pad thai and pad kee mao was only okay - overall the portion size could be a bit bigger for the price.

I have been eating Pookie's Thai for about 15 years. The food is consistently wonderful and great value. I just placed a dinner order for take-out and it will be ready in 15 minutes. Easy. And if you like desserts, her fried banana with coconut ice cream is outstanding.

The place is difficult to find as it is hiding in an office complex. But the food is really delicious, and genuine, and that, makes all the efforts worth it. However almost every time I find the service to be not the best. There is usually long waits to get essential things, like napkins.

This place is way too expensive for the overall quality and taste.

Here’s what we experienced. #1) Nobody welcomed us after 5-minutes at entry #2) Screaming kids running up and down the outside seating area #3) Waiter was clueless and unaware of the situation and menu #5) Brought the wrong food three times #6) Took a plate of food (we hadn’t touched yet, besides mixing it with a fork and nearly taking a bite) when the waiter literally switched plates with adjacent table. #5) No drink refills or offers to purchase 2nd round. #6) Every table (3 tables) around us (with 3-5 people at each table) received food before us despite having been seated 15-minutes after the two of us. #7) POOR QUALITY: IF KRAFT MAC&CHEESE OFFERED PAD THAI THIS WOULD BE IT! Like I said save your time and money. Go to another Thai restaurant or eat Kraft Mac & Cheese (it’ll be better I promise). I don’t often write reviews, but I had to on this. You’ve been warned.

Soup and dishes are delicious. I ordered a red curry chicken and the server forgot to deliver the rice. After asking and waiting, it finally came when I was just about done. To be fair, the waitress was working the tables, cash register and take out orders alone.

Pookie goes out their way for their customers! Has great food and a new sushi bar that rivals any Japanese restaurant at a much lower price. I just love this restaurant and go there most days for lunch.. Definitely worth going there for either lunch or dinner with your families or for a romantic dinner outside on the water court!

Maybe we ordered the wrong thing. The mixed appetizer with satay, shrimp roll and egg rolls was ok (I thought the satay tasted burned), but the "heavenly combo" fried rice was awful. The rice was still white ( completely white), the onions were sharp and the remaining vegetables were from a bag of frozen mixed vegetables! Tiny cubes of carrots. No fresh carrots?? We could barely find any chicken. Why cheap out on the chicken? We found a bug in our beer glass. I'm sure it was there before we wasted a bunch of beer. It wasn't a flying insect. We told the server and he brought another glass and just left it without a word. I told them it was my husband's birthday when we arrived. I guess they do nothing for birthdays. We won't go again. I expect fresh vegetables at a Thai restaurant. Unfortunately, I didn't get my phone out for pictures.

First time here. Nobody was at the front desk when I came in. Man at sushi bar wasn't helpful. After about 2 minutes, I asked where could I order and he pointed around the corner. The lady who took my order seemed annoyed when I had questions about the menu. The par Thai tasted fairly good. I've definitely had better but it did the job. I came here because this place had such fast reviews but I was disappointed by the customer service.

Small Thai food place in the Westlake area. The food is fairly priced and it is pretty good. Good sized portions. The hostess and server were nice. I went on a Tuesday evening and it wasn’t too busy. It can be tricky getting here the first time since it is located on the bottom level, inside of the courtyard in the building.

Had a lunch special. Bbq chicken with pad thai. Good flavor and portions.

People who work there are so slow and unorganized. After 35 minutes waiting for pickup they figured out they never had my order on their system . Then after ten more minutes they gave me a wrong bag . When I was leaving they said sorry for making another mistake and finally made my order in five minutes!
It would take just five minutes but they made me wait fifty minutes .
We are so busy . That's what they said instead of We are sorry .

This is forever one of my favorite Thai food places. The food is always consistent, fresh, and delicious. Plus, Pookie, the owner, is so sweet she could give you a toothache and she works her butt off to give the best service. 5 stars across the board!!!

This place is very hard to find, but worth the hunt. Beware, closed for two weeks until August 15th. Downstairs of the building in the middle of the block. Trust the Google location icon, not the address.

Had the standard judging dish, green curry. Lightly fragrant of Thai basil. Just enough spice to get the nose running. The brown rice is actually red Bhutanese rice. This short grain chewy rice is a better choice than the long brown cardboard tasting stuff.

Green tea seemed to be a matcha, which was an interesting twist. Going to try again when they get back from vacation.

Delicious and a few dollars cheaper than the surrounding Thai places.

Great value in Thai cuisine. And Pookie seems to know everyone. Limited outside seating in a pleasant environment. And its not too crowded on the weekend so you can go last minute.

What's not to like? It's Thai food and very reasonably priced. On top of that Pookie will make whatever creation you come up with. Why not five stars? Well it's got everything you want except it's in a business park. The food and portions however are excellent

The worst service EVER. 5 people waiting for takeout orders for over AN HOUR after they said it would be ready!!!! They said 35 minutes, i left at 95 minutes. Awful.
