Wonderful meal! My favorite is the Yellow Curry. We tried a few firsts for us, Spicy Eggplant with ground pork, very good. Khao Soi Noodle soup, they hit that out of the park.

Thought we'd give it a try and we're glad we did! Ordered the cucumber salad which was fresh and not too sweet. We also ordered the steamed dumplings which were tender and flavorful. Our entrees we're the yellow curry and mixed vegetables. The. curry was light with white meat chicken. Full of flavors and not oily at all. The mixed vegetables were fresh in a light garlic sauce. Our server was the only one in the restaurant, and she managed to serve everyone with a smile and still do take out orders and bus tables. Everything we ate was fresh and light. Definitely adding it to the list!

It’s been a while since I’ve had such good Pad Kee Mao, and the Mango Curry and Mango Sticky Rice were on point. The service was great and the atmosphere was laid back. We enjoyed the food and the service very much, we will be back!

Came in to grab an appetizer and they covered the fresh spring rolls in peanut sauce. Came to a surprise when it said on the menu it was on the side. So we requested just one singular roll since I am allergic. The staff said it was possible, so after waiting a long time a whole order came out and they charged us for everything because we ate it. If we had know we would have been charged extra for a mistake that is on the menu we would have never eaten them. Disappointing we were the first ones in and waited way too long for a single appetizer and for it to come out wrong. They gave us an extremely hard time and didn’t refund it.

This was the best Thai food I've had. The duck curry was perfectly tender and not too sweet or oily. The Tom Kha soup with mushrooms was creamy but light and with just the right amount of tang to it. The mango sticky rice took it over the top. I'll be back often. The server and cook were very gracious as well. You won't be disappointed.

Should have reviewed 2 years ago when it happened but never did. Every time my family drives by, my son asks me if I ever got my money back and I have to say no. We ordered online, picked a duck dish, duck appetizer, and something else. After 20 min I asked if it was ready they said not yet, still working on it. I waited around another 20 min and asked again, same. After an hour waiting, they told me they were out of duck! From the reviews, that was the only thing we wanted that night so I said just cancel the order, they said sorry and ok. Then a couple weeks later I saw the payment still on my credit card, like $70-$90, I forget. So I called back and they said I need to cancel with the online order company. I called the number on my email receipt but the number didn't work. So I call back and the owner couldn't help because she can't find the transaction. I guess it implies I'm making it up. So I dispute with my credit card and eventually that falls through as well. Too bad they didn't offer any help or fix it. Doubt the place is any good, nothing on that block is.

It’s okay. Green curry is very watery. Pad See Ew is a bit naked without much sauce and lacking flavor. They could be a bit more heavy handed with spices, but this might be on purpose or for their clientele.

We went there last weekend when visitng Santa Barbara because of the good reviews. The Tom Kha Kai lacked any of the usual coconut and lemon flavors and seemed to be watered down. The panang curry also lacked the rich flavor we are used to. The people were friendly but overall it was a disappointing experience.

Best best best! One of the best Thai restaurant in town! Good food, excellent service, atmosphere and reasonable price. Will definitely comeback again for sure!

I decided to check this place out and the food was absolutely delicious and authentic. My server was very understanding of my food allergies. My favorite dish was the garlic noodles with barbecue pork. The mango sticky rice was so tasty!

The owner here is incredibly rude and unprofessional. I've come to eat here a few times on my lunch break and I've been treated with complete disrespect. I called to try and get an idea of why this place is so horrible with its customers but the owner said "I don't have time to talk with you".... unbelievable. The food is overpriced and underseasoned. Don't come here.

Me and my best friend were visiting a friend here to deliver Christmas presents. We got hungry and decided to try this place out! The parking was not the greatest but when entering the building server had us seated right away. It seemed like he was the only server and had to take care all of the guest. He was very friendly and had amazing eye contact literally it's one of those service where you are not a customer but like a person. The food was great! We had pad kee Mao, Tom yum, thai iced teas and a roti for dessert. I really enjoyed my time here. Felt like I was at home. I would definitely recommend eating here! If I lived here I would constantly come back!

Ordered on a friend's recommendation... Very mid... I ordered a ton of food, thinking it would be great because of the reccmendation .. We ended up throwing most of our away. Do not order the spare rib soup, very greasy broth, the pork balls were disgusting. They were nice, so I feel bad writing this, but the food is very mid. The streamed dumplings were the only thing that was good.

Large Monday night takeout order. They helped me take it to my car. Everyone thought the food was fresh and delicious.

My wife and I order from here regularly. We love the food and always get it to go to enjoy at home. Tonight we were threatened to be black listed because we didn’t pay. My mother in law went to pick up the food because we have a newborn at home. They handed her the food and didn’t ask her to pay. (Which we didn’t know) My wife received multiple calls telling her she was going to be blacklisted if she didn’t pay. We didn’t answer because we were putting our baby to bed. It feels terrible to be treated this way when it wasn’t our fault and a honest miscommunication. Please try and talk to the person first before accusing them of not paying. (We called back and gladly paid)

Have now had takeout and dine-in. The takeout was soo good (how often do you hear that?!)that I wanted to try dining in, and the dine-in experience did not disappoint. Our server, Sarinna, was excellent—very on top of everything, including drink and napkin refills, very sweet, and helpful, but not pushy. The food tasted very fresh, flavorful, the portions were generous, and no skimping on the meat. Found prices to be very reasonable, and the restaurant itself was quiet enough to be able to have proper conversations (even for older patrons). Plenty of easy street parking. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back, thanks, Sarinna!

That is the most sweet Pad Thai I have ever tried, the curry was way too much watery for the taste. However, the service was amazing and minimalism style decoration brings quiet and comfort experience.

The food is Fantastic!!! The outside of this restaurant doesn't do it justice, so don't be fooled. The owner is very sweet and proud of his restaurant. The service was friendly. The food took a little bit to prepare but was well worth the wait. Everything was freshly made and delicious. I have had a lot of Thai food from good restaurants and the flavors from the dishes here are some of the best that I've had. Go and Enjoy!

It is such a nice and cozy place to have lunch/dinner with your partner, friends, or family. They provide very tasty, authentic Thai food. The pad Thai literally brings e back to the one I was in Thailand.
One hidden gem is definitely the tapioca in coconut milk with sweet corn and water chestnut in it. The light and refresh sweetness of corn and water chestnuts coordinates with the natural salty flavor of coconut milk just well. Definitely will order again.

Star of the night was the Khao Soi Soup which was so delicious and unique. Also the mango sticky rice was probably the best I’ve ever had and definitely worth it. Save room!

My wife and I visited Thai Bistro for the first time last night and were greeted warmly at the door by Tony. The atmosphere is informal, but very clean and filled with light. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful, especially our waiter Justin, who offered some excellent menu suggestions.
The Tom Kha (coconut soup with lemon grass and herbs) with chicken was easily the best we have ever had. The Pad See Eww (wide rice noodles and broccoli) with fried tofu recommended by Justin was fantastic. The green Thai curry with beef was equally good. We finished with sticky rice and mango that was at perfect ripeness.
This place is a little gem in Santa Barbara. Highly recommended!

Best Pad Thai I have ever had!!!!

Ordered the fresh rolls, pad thai (spicy), and Tom yum (spicy). Pad Thai was alright, tom yum took the spotlight however. Fresh rolls felt and tasted fresh, not refrigerated overnight.

The service was great as well. I went during the day but I bet it's a cute spot at night.

SO HAPPY to have tried this place! Finally a Thai restaurant open on a Monday AND for lunch. I love the Thai restaurants in Santa Barbara, but I was trying to find a very authentic, specific Thai dish called Pad Kra Pao (spicy Thai basil dish with minced pork or chicken), and the only place I could find it would be either in LA, or this one place in Camarillo, but who wants to drive 45+ min? Fortunately, I found this place. The owner was so friendly, attentive and kind. This is his first restaurant, so he’s really trying to figure it out. So far, I’m very impressed. The crab rangoons used fresh crab, and their sauce was beyond just a typical sweet and sour sauce. The spicy basil dish was super authentic too and actually spicy! Give this place a shot and I promise you won’t regret it.

Great food - great service

Ordered for takeout at 508 pm for a 615 pickup. When I arrived was told it would be a bit more time so I joined the other 5-10 people waiting for their orders. I waited until 645 until I had to go and they told me it would be another 10 minutes. I requested a refund instead. Really poor management.

Worst. service. ever. We just left the restaurant on a Saturday night after waiting 45 minutes for a pre-paid pick up order. There was one server, not even trying to care, and several people ahead of us. One person ahead had been waiting over an hour for pick-up. No acknowledgement of our presence in the restaurant, no reassuring words that the food was almost done. I'm certain it wouldn't have come out if we'd waited another 3 hours. The food is meh anyways based on one past experience, but we'll be going elsewhere from now on. Can't imagine they'll be in business much longer.

I just ordered from the Thai Bistro seeing someone saying how good the food was....WELL certainly did not disappoint me...the food was delicious ....I will order again and now go there as well......job well done....Thank you.....

Still needs some work. Potatoes were hard and undercooked. Broccoli beef is on the menu for a price and then they charge extra for the beef. Needed a search party to find the beef. Kinda expensive. Tap Thai was amazing. I'm sure it will get better. Glad they are in the neighborhood.

In my opinion, this is by far the best Thai restaurant in Santa Barbara. The staff is always kind and respectful. Good service goes a long way!

Sopin has worked at just about every Thai restaurant in town (and works really hard), so I was really excited for her when she told me she was buying the old Tap Thai.

The food is awesome! Try one of Sopins homemade authentic Thai desserts, and come support this small business owner!
