I have been coming to this place for a few years and I went back after awhile only to find out that it is under new ownership.

I was shocked at how good the food was and the owner even has a vegan-friendly part of the menu that is being built upon. I've tried the tofu satay and the vegan poke bowl which are both phenomenal as well as their thai iced tea which they can use coconut milk in place of half-and-half which I highly recommend. The prices are a bit high, but it is like that everywhere. Side dish prices are very good, though so, mix and match to get the best flavor combo and make it easier on your wallet. Do yourself a favor and check out the new items!

Had veggie spring roll, mixed vegetables, pad thai and chicken fried rice. Food was delicious and probably one of the best thai food in the america.

The waitress was not attentive at all, made us feel like we were bothering her. Sadly will not be returning.

UPDATE: About 2 months after new ownership, they bought all the delicious Thai ingredients that we know and love! It is my favorite restaurant in all of California. The flavors are incredible. The Thai basil and Kaffir lime is back. I do wish there were bamboo shoots in more of the dishes but that is simply my preference! Highly recommend. You can request different levels of spiciness. I can never go wrong with Drunken Noodles, Pad Thai, Suki Hang, or Sticky Rice (which comes with the best spicy sauce. It is so craveable.)

OLD review: Under new ownership. DO NOT TRAVEL to come eat here. It doesn't have any Thai ingredients in it anymore. No bamboo shoots. No Thai basil. No Kaffir lime. The previous owners bought Thai ingredients for their foods. I've tried 3 dishes and they all lacked Thai ingredients. Drunken noodles, Pad Thai, and Red Curry. The Red curry had whole American basil leaves in it. :( The Pad Thai didn't taste like peanut. The Drunken Noodles were plain. Very sad to lose the best restaurant in town.

The food is delicious. Except they don't ever have Boba for my Thai tea. That's my only complaint lol other than that,servers are nice and fast. Food comes out at a good pace also. We don't have to wait too long for our food to be ready and also, restroom is decent. Cleanliness is good.

Thai kitchen fried rice is so perfectly good and Tum Mao is hella delicious as like you have it in Thailand (you can order for real Thai taste with a waitress). I’m Thai and I highly recommend this restaurant for good Thai foods that I’d love to come back again!

I wish the waitress had some more help as she seemed to be doing everything herself (and working super hard) from taking orders, making the drinks, answering the phone, dealing with delivery pick ups and settling up the bills. I think it would be a better customer experience if she had a fellow colleague to share the load.

Place was clean, service was fast, but the food was way over cooked. I had the salmon with pineapple which was very dry. My husband had the Thai fried chicken which was way over cooked to the point there was little meat left.

Try the Pad See Ew or the Drunken Noodles. Service is great.

If I could rate this no stars, I would. This was my first time ordering from here and I ended up finding a bug in my Pad Thai. This is absolutely disgusting and don’t order from here unless you want bugs in your food!

Task Lao noodles with veggies. Friendly staff. Popular place, they are pretty busy but wasn't crowded. Mostly pick up and TO GO orders.

The kitchen is so gross you can see it when you go to the bathroom! First time there so we weren't familiar with the food and plates. We ordered and they brought us the wrong order and were charged for their mistake ! Never again , waitresses should pay more attention to what they are doing !

Went here and the waiter brought us the wrong order , since it was our first time going here we didn’t know how the plate looked so we started picking at it but it wasn’t good , half way the waitress comes up and says she brought us the wrong order so when it was time to pay I had to pay for their mistake ! Was it my fault you brought me the wrong plate ?? Paid over 60 dollars for some nasty food ! Never again !!

Under new ownership. Quality of food has gone down. Prices no longer reflect the same. May be same price but you are getting half the amount you got before. Now they are also closed on Saturdays which is one of the busiest days to order food. I loved this place and now I go very little.

If you're going to screw up a perfectly good fried rice by adding tomatoes then for heavens sake list it on the menu, ugh!!!

I’ve always been a huge fan of this restaurant my wife and i both love the food but these last two times were horrible. we had the same waitress as the time before she doesnt check in on us doesnt offer us any refills. seems to be in a rush whenever we order. didnt ask us if we wanted drinks. i politely asked her as she was rushing off if we could order our drinks as well. she’s the oldest of the waitresses so i dont know if she just assumes we cant tip or what but we usually leave a pretty solid tip more then our 20%. even when we order pick up we’ll leave a tip because we love the place.

there seems to be some odd tension and just a feeling of not wanting us there.

the other waitress was actually actual they all usually are except for the waitress we got.

I love eating here. My favorite dish is their Basil stir fry with sticky rice. Customer is great. I usually order for pick up and the service is pretty fast.

Located in theater parking lot, close to the freeway, so using the Indiana street driveway is less traffic.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Cooks were very busy and had very serious expressions on their faces.
Prices are reasonable and food arrives in a timely fashion.

The drunken noodles was the first to arrive, and I thought it tasted quite well for a Thai restaurant in a little town...

The pad see ew was the second thing to arrive. This dish was pretty delicious; the flavor was good, and I would get it again (if I ever come back).

The Thai bbq chicken was the third course.... When the waitress placed the chicken on the table... I took a whiff; the aroma of the chicken fired neurons in my brain…. I had previously smelled this before.... Rotisserie chicken from Costco. Do you know that distinct smell of Costco chicken? Have you ever seen the chicken wing of the Costco rotisserie chicken? Soggy chicken skin… All the signs checked out from this “Thai BBQ Chicken”.

I was in total disbelief, so I had to ask one of the workers and they confirmed to me that it was dam rotisserie chicken. I was told that the owner should remove the item from the menu. I agree.

Is this coconut prawns or blackened fish? These prawns were so burnt it ruined the tast of the food. Wow, I paid 13 bucks for this and got a torched plate of prawns. No good. Ruined the taste. The menu didn't say blackened prawns it said coconut prawns. Not satisfied. It's been a while since I ordered here and it will be some time before I order from here again. Then again what have we grown to expect from. Porterville!!!

The restaurant is clean and the staff friendly. However, for those who are used to Thai food in larger cosmopolitan cities, be aware; the Pad Thai and mango salad... two simple, staples in a Thai menu that you just can’t get wrong... well, they’re not remotely close to what you’d expect.

The coconut lemon grass chicken soup is fantastic my favorite I can never get enough... the green papaya salad is so good and I love the spicy flavor... the spring rolls are so good especially when paired with the peanut sauce... the coconut shrimp is sweet and delicious... not many thai options in porterville but with this place around I can definitely get my thai cuisine fix :-)

Well this hole in the wall place is and has been a longtime favorite of mine. Service is friendly even during the rush hour of lunch. Food is authentic and a great value. Basic atmosphere but the taste of the food makes up for. Leaps and bounds above many other Thai places I have dined at.
I love the sizzling vegetables dish and I have head it with either, tofu, chicken, and my favorite salmon. Oh and I get it without jalapenos.

Love this place, and have been coming here for years (basically since it opened over ten years ago). It is the spot that got my wife and I hooked on Thai food, and I have compared all other places to here, but nothing really has. Others that are similar in quality are priced a lot steeper. The atmosphere is cozy and have never had bad service. In fact most servers know what are typical order is, but always ask if we are "changing it up tonight?" We have had basically everything on the extensive menu (what can I say at one point we were here one to two times a week). We even had the Pad Thai and Thai Fried Rice catered for our wedding, which got a lot of positive reviews.

The restaurant is very clean and quiet. The food is very. very fresh and good and they make it how you want it. Many choices, all good and their prices are reasonable.

Came here from out of town with 3 coworkers. We all thought the food was pretty bad. I had the worst pad see ew. It was salty and dry.

Rating this as 1 since we didn't even get to try the food there. We reached at 8:45 today evening and wanted to place a take out order since we checked online and saw the place was closing at 9pm. We did not want to inconvenience the staff so we decided to get a take out. However we were told the kitchen is closed. It must be noted that the open sign for the restaurant was switched on and was switched off as soon as I exited the place.

The spicy green bean with the pork & shrimp is to die for. The flavor with the white rice also mixed in is fabulous. This is the best thai restaurant i have ever been to!!!

Definitely different kind of food, not to mention their Thai coffee and Thai tea beverages. Try them you will like them. Alot of variety on their menu. Their desserts are also a plus.
