I ordered the thai chicken salad and it was refreshing—even with the boiled chicken. That was my first time eating boiled chicken (I think) and it comes as chicken strips but the texture is similar to tuna and the flavor seemed to have light seasoning, which I prefer.

I also ordered the Golden Tofu. 10/10. Would recommend.
The waitress also brought me two sauces, which was kind of her, the thai house sauce and the peanut sauce.
The thai sauce is amazing! I put it on my salad and took it home with me along with most of the golden tofu.

I’ll probably come by again sometime. 6/10 overall.

Delivery driver called me to come downstairs from my apartment to pick up food. Told him I am sick so I'll buzz him up. He refused so I didn't give him tip. He called back yelling at me for no tip and saying he is no longer delivering to me...

I’ve lost count of the times I’ve eaten here or ordered take out. This time I dined in, the servers were attentive. Food came out fast and tasty.

I was waiting for a long time to dine in, but they started to cross of names for the dine in waitlist. Without informing anyone. When confronted why didn’t he warn the people waiting, he just stated he couldn’t do it since he’s so busy; when it would take a minute at most to warn people waiting. I’ve been dining here for years, and this has been the most disrespectful and unprofessional experience.

Thai bbq chicken always hits the spot. The seafood lemon grass with coconut milk soup was very delicious.

Food is flavorful. Nice ambient.
Only that anytime I ask for something with noodles, it comes out kind of raw and not fully cooked, so it always sticks in my stomach and it hurts. Usually I have to vomit the uncooked noodles.
Second one I have ordered 3 times, its always dry, it's chicken satte. Maybe another kind of chicken part instead of white meat, would've better on the satte.
Other foods are tasty and well cooked.
Only the fried rice it's usually luke warm.
White rice it's always steam warm nicely.

If you like BBQ ribs.. don't try these.. Ive had a lot better from Sizzler's restaurants.. try their chicken is not the best but tasty

Comida muy rica y todo pero propina obligada asta para recoger y llevar a casa 🏡 ponen es sticker donde dice no propina para obligarte a dar propina. Comprendo dejar propina si comes en el restaurate. Pero la propina es boluntaria no entiendo 🤔 ya uno hace muncho con ir a consumir.. The tipping here is mandatory. They even put sticker on the machine were you choice (no tip) to force you to tip, when picking up.

Thai Original BBQ usually hits the mark, but this time it was a tale of two ribs. The spare ribs were as mouthwatering as ever, even if the portions have become a bit more... modest. Let's chalk that up to the times, as everything seems to be shrinking except prices! The sauce on those ribs? Heavenly, MSG and all. But, oh boy, the pork ribs in sweet sauce are another story. Without mincing words, they were a miss—so much so that they ended up in the trash. It's time for that dish to make a quiet exit from the menu. Still, for those signature spare ribs, I'll keep coming back, hoping the rest of the menu matches their standard.

The food was delicious, so fresh and flavorful yum new favorite spot I want to try it all. The servers are so sweet and kind, great place to get lunch and treat yourself.

Oh Thai Original BBQ this location has fallen from grace for me. I remember when the food, atmosphere and service was almost perfect as a kid good times even with a big party and celebration. I recently went for pick up and the lady was dismissive and so were the wait staff and attendants asking for a simple cup to share the thai tea but charging for it. If I asked for a cup of water would it be different? I was surprised the clover point of sale device had a heart sticker to cover the no tip square. My co worker also mentioned looking for no tip because it was a pick up order! I don't think I'll be coming back here, the food isn't like the original even if it was the original back in the day. I think the chefs have moved to another of their chain. I understand the price hike but 2x of the original is off-putting.

We love this place. Have been a patron since 2001. Every opportunity my grown children and I will stop by. Yet this last time I was not too satisfied with service. Unfamiliar faces...unfriendly. Maybe has new management? Not sure. Anyhow food still great. Except Thai spring rolls. Seemed or tasted like old. Meaning they were sitting in fridge for a minute.

Placed a big order for pick up. The resturant didn't include our drinks. Food didn't taste that good.
I called multiple times to let them know about the missing drinks, and the restaurant wouldn't answer any of our calls.

Orderedw the panang curry and ended up getting this. Awful experience. This order was $17 including taxes. I normally order panang curry other places and get more curry for less, and better quality. Can definitely say I’m never coming here again. Save your money folks, this place ain’t it unless you have that kind of cash to throw around for a mediocre meal.

the owners of the place commented that the food is always fresh. I expected to wait a bit for my food to come out but it was served within 3 minutes of ordering. It is NOT fresh. Especially by the taste of it.

Food is not great, just edible. The restaurant increased the menu price recently, and they deceive to-go customers to tip them, which is ridiculous. I won't go to this place again. Paying almost $20 for a dish is not worth it for this place at all.

After my trip with family to the Grammy's Museum at LA LIVE, we went to our favorite Thai BBQ place! We always get their pork ribs and shrimp rice!!!! And we also got the Thai shrimp and mushrooms coconut soup!! Food was great! This place is on 3rd Street off of Vermont Avenue!

I celebrated my 18th birthday at this spot and I still order the same thing from them to this day (more decades later than I care to disclose). Must try: beef satay dinner & Tom Kah Kai. Their pad Thai is tasty too but the satay and tom kah are my fave hands down! Swing by sometime!

The ribs and rice and shrimp were delicious here. The Tai tea, too. I enjoyed my lunch here today. I ordered the BBQ rib dinner. It came out to $22.99 with the Tai tea. The restroom is private and for 1 person at a time. It is ok, but can use a remodel. Parking is not easy to find here.

I have been a customer for more than 20 years in this restaurant, and tonight I brought my family to dinner at 8:10 pm and they denied me service, the restaurant sign said open and the hours say they close at 9 pm, they treated me disrespectfully and even my children started crying, i don't like to leave reviews but i want you to know that if you come to this place at night time now they are going to treat you like garbage, i do not recommend anyone to come to this place where They make you feel bad, discriminated against and that you don't matter as a customer. Unfortunately this place has changed a lot.

Check their hours. Their kitchen closes 30 min before they close. We went on a Wednesday and they close 3-5p. We went the following day and their kitchen closed at 830p. There is parking in their lot. Used to go there all the time before the pandemic and it looks like a shell of what it was before. Food is still yummy. Not enough variety of vegetables in their combination soup; mostly cabbage.

Be aware of automatic tip they add to your bill regardless of number of people and deceptively not show separate tip line. I almost double tip them.

I love Thai bbq. I have been going since I was a kid and never had any kind of problem. Food is always good the day we went was no exception. Food is 5 stars.

My concern is when we got the bill. I was about to start adding in a tip when I noticed the tip had already been added. Which I found strange since normally you get that when it’s a big party. It was just 2 of us. I just dismissed it and was like okay that’s fine let me just give them the card and pay. When I got the receipt to sign I noticed it had a line to add a tip and a suggested tip. I was like that’s so deceptive. People are probably double tipping unknowingly if you don’t look at your bill carefully and notice the tip they already added to the bill.

For me that’s a deal breaker. I have no problem tipping but that’s not okay in my book. Make sure you check your bills so you’re not double tipping.

Employees were rude, food was undercooked, staff cleaned our table with a dirty rag and multiple customers returned with complaints.

The BBQ is really good and the staff is friendly and fast.

Food is simply delicious! Service our waitress mixed up our order twice. Once with the table behind us and another with the table beside us and also our plates came before our appetizer.

Me and my family and friends love their chicken and ribs bbq so much, the padThai and Thai ice tea! We used to live a walking distance, been customer way back in the 80s moved to Arizona 2014 but never forget to dine at Thai bbq on 3rd street whenever we visit LA.

Food was okay, been coming here for years. This time they automatically added 15% gratuity to our entire bill which was half for take out. Tips should be added only for dine ins. Disappointed.

Me and my boyfriend got food poisoning from this restaurant. The fish was burnt and the taste of the chicken wasn’t pleasing. Most likely we were poisoned by rice, cause only that was in both dishes: S11 and S12.
