Elegant, airy eatery with Asian decor & outdoor seating serves up Thai dishes from curries to soups.
Absolutely fantastic. Fresh ingredients. Wonderfully made by an incredible chef. This is our favorite Thai food in all of Los Angeles. We always come here whenever we visit the westside. Fav's include Tom Yum soup, chicken curry, steamed dumplings, summer rolls, shrimp won ton soup, chicken satay, crusted salmon, larb, papaya salad... well, you can't go wrong. Hands down excellent if you want authentic Thai cuisine masterfully prepared. Can't wait to go back!
Best Thai Curry we have had in a long time. I’ve tried a few places near Marina Del Rey and this one beats them all. This will be our go to spot now. I got Red Curry and my partner got Celadon Curry with the carrots and potatoes. Came with a side of jasmine rice each. We also got appetizers that were so good we forgot to take a picture. Curry’s we’re a good price and we’ll be taking half home. Very worth the price. The staff was very nice, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was clean and not too busy on a Saturday night. If you’re thinking about stopping in, just do it.
Suggestion: If the quality of take-out food cannot match what is served when dining in, it may be best to avoid offering it.
The chicken meat in the yellow curry was unusually large, and the flavor did not live up to what I've previously enjoyed when eating at the restaurant.
Pineapple fried rice is also below the average.
Small Thai shop with lunch specials and a laidback vibe. Note that if you check in on Yelp, you can get a free Thai iced tea. Takeout is available as well as indoor and outdoor dining. There are heat lamps outside. There’s a small, free parking lot. Credit cards are accepted.
The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. The pad Thai is really tasty, and if you ask for some chili flakes, they add a nice layer of spice to the sweetness. The Celadon soup was piping hot and came with a lot of fish cakes/balls. The broth was mild and I finished everything in one seating even though I usually try to have some leftovers for another meal - the soup was too tasty for me to stop eating. Overall, it’s a small, relaxed place to grab some Thai food.
My man and I have decided! This is our go-to to-go Thai spot. The food is consistently delicious, keeps well, and the portions are generous. We love the chicken fried rice (the cashews are an AMAZING touch), we’ve had all the curry’s (impeccably spiced), and the egg rolls are delicious. Highly, highly recommend. The cost adds up when we order through door dash, but each dish serves two easily***. We usually have left overs for a few days.
We haven’t been to the restaurant itself, but had been looking for a delicious carry out Thai place for a while since moving to Venice, and this one is THE BEST.

Definitely the best tasting Thai food in the Venice area. The softshell crab curry was excellent 🙌🙌🗿
very friedly, very good food
Sign on the door is confusing. IYKYK
Love the food here!!
I love the ambiance of this restaurant. Food is excellent. Service was officially on point. Can't wait to eat🙉🙉🙉
They make the best tom kha in the city! The portions are large, and all the food I tried was perfect!
Tom kha guy
Nice people, good service. Food was good but could have been larger portions.
Atmosphere was not great. Service lacked fluidity. food was not that good. Tasted like cafeteria food had an out of the can flavor
Lovely food, fair price

A very pleasant restaurant, excellent service, the food was very tasty, served aesthetically. Very large dish. recommended.
I regularly get their Tom Kha soup here and it’s great!
Solid choice. No fail. Totally on the ball. Close to the coast, decent parking if not in lot on street with meters.
Been here many many times, and their food is superb. Love their sweet basil eggplant and prik king green beans. Great dishes to get if you’re vegetarian. I’ve yet to find another Thai place with eggplant this good. The folks working here are always super friendly.

The Pad Thai was fantastic! So many great flavors and it all went together amazing. The service was so great and we would love to come back every day if we could
Unclear if ownership has changed but our latest order was totally different from past orders. The larb moo (pork) was totally inadequate, barely any roasted rice powder, lime juice, fish sauce, or shallots. Essentially it was just stir-fried pork - and a tiny portion at that - on a bed of lettuce with garnishes. One chicken dish had chili powder doused all over it - not something we ever experienced anywhere on four long trips in Thailand (or here in L.A.) - and the other chicken dish seemed microwaved ie reheated and not fresh. Maybe they were having an off day or the cook was on vacation but this was disappointing.
Great Thai! Our go-to dinner place whenever we go to LAX
Been going to celadon for few yrs, lately I have been noticing that the overall taste of the chicken fried rice and noodles dishes have not been very tasty. The overall taste and portion size has decreased. I ordered extra veggies for fried rice for extra $2, only got 3 broccoli and carrots. Standard of dishes not very favorable.
Excellent food, service and presentation.
Very rude service I received. The waitress was just incompetent. And the prices are misleading. Goin to forward a complaint to BBB.
Very tasty....
The food here is fantastic! Service was pleasant though not attentive to our request to allow time to enjoy appetizers. We often hold off on ordering entrees at Thai restaurants for this reason. Thought we'd try ordering all at once with the explicit request for app time, sure enough everything came at once. At least it was all delicious!
We ordered takeout and there was an issue with our order. However, the manager was very accommodating and went above and beyond to remedy the situation. Our dishes were fantastic as always and the Ka Prow is probably the best we’ve ever had. We always love the food at Celadon!
They really deliver on the spice level 🌶🔥
Solid but not spectacular… I got take out.. which is different but the wonton soup came popping hot… props to them for keeping it hot and that was solid but nothing amazing and too much bok choy.. and the sautéed garlic string beans with chicken was outstanding
I just got food poisoning from here last night. I had the red curry for dinner and was throwing up by morning.
Aila our server was very friendly& knew the menu well. Delicious panang curry & generous portions. We will tell our
friend s ! Coming back...yes!
Good food and service!

First time there food was excellent so was the service
Great Pad Thai
Food is great really great ..yet be prepared to waiiiittt
Excellent Thai food, and tasting!
Great halal food!
CELEDON CAN TAKE ALL MY MONEY! Everything tastes amazing, great portion, has vegan options, their pad kee mow and pad see ew are my favorites. (I wish the spiciness was a little bit more consistent though, cos I always eat Thai spicy and sometimes it’s hotter than usual.) I literally ordered from here 3 days in a week before. Great customer service too!
The best Thai in MDR, Venice or SM! Super fresh, amazing curries and great service!
Excellent pad su and pineapple fried rice.
Food is great! Service is great! Definitely recommend if you are looking for a authentic Thai restaurant!
lunch special was finished but able to get lunch without drink
Ordered take out dinner for Father’s Day and was disappointed with the quality and customer service. My husband picked up our $70 order and upon opening the bag most of our items spilled and the sauces weren’t even put in their own containers, just splattered at the bottom of the container. We were careful to place the bag in a secure spot in the car, so this is not due to driving. The restaurant also forgot to give us rice when we clearly marked this on the order. When we called to get a credit for the item that did not come with rice, we simply asked for a refund for that item ($16). The person on the phone rambled on and on about how they couldn’t give us a refund or provide us with rice. Apparently all they can do is give us a “free” curry next time. Too bad there won’t be a next time. Don’t recommend. There are other Thai restaurants in the area that package their food appropriately and give you what you order.
Not very impressed by the food or service here every time Ive been.
Very nice person...
Absolutely terrible service- I arrived for an order i had placed and paid for early over the phone knowing I didn’t have a ton of time before heading back to work, but upon arriving i met with someone and had a little extra time so we asked if we could sit down inside to enjoy the $50 worth of food we just ordered and then one employee and then a manager both said “no no no, we don’t allow pickup orders to sit down.” I proceeded to ask if we could just sit at the patio to eat? Still no. I offered to order a drink if we could just sit and eat, still no. This made for one of the worst interactions I’ve had at any Thai restaurant. It was embarrassing for the person I was meeting and We ended up eating on the garden plant potter outside while they literally watched. Bad customer service and worse etiquette.
Overall, a sht place to go if you’re looking for a good dining out experience.
Disappointed with the bad quality of the food because it did not seem very authentic and the sauces were way too sweet. We could not finish eating the pad Thai and pad see ew because it felt like we were eating noodles covered with Aunt Jemima syrup, the worst part was the high prices for such bad food... If you're looking for truly authentic Thai food then try ayara by the LAX it won't disappoint
Food was fine but Bit sweet to me. Not 100% authentic Thai food
Best Tom Kha I’ve ever had! I’d say it’s the best in all of L.A. Every dish was perfect and the service was even better
Not great, the noodles and sauces didn't seem authentic at all, the food was overpriced for the low quality. If you want to eat good Thai food try ayara by the lax, skip this place.
Loved the Chicken Larb and Seafood soup.
Excellent service. Very good food. Seafood was very nice.
I liked what we had, the veggie soup, and the Celadon soup with some dumpling.
Service was good.
Goes to show you don't listen to all the reviews, the best review is your and until you try a place then you can make your own opinion, remember we all have different taste and different standards, my standard is if it tastes good then it's for me, that is all I care about, and the service and cleanliness.
Good, satisfied food
Best Thai food I’ve found in the area. They even deliver all the way to Santa Monica from MDR which is sweet!
My only complaint is the veg in the curries are massive chunks and I always have to chop them myself. Little light on the meat serving too.

The best Tai cousin in Marina. This place is just keeps consistently great quality over the years.
I recommend to try curry roti appetizer, it's delicious.
First time customer and now forever fan!!! I always thought the name ambitious as Celadon Napa and Celadon Song in Pasadena are out of this world. I do not think that they are related. Based on the Panang, Tom Yum and Pineapple fried rice, they blew the others out of the water. Can’t thank you enough!
Ordered two Pad Thai's one chicken and one vegetable , it was the worst I've ever had in my life and I'm not exaggerating. Really nice people but if you don't want to be disappointed then please go somewhere else.
The food here is so delicious!!! Omg I love this place!! Service is also excellent. Definitely recommend 😊
Our favorite neighborhood Thai. We’ve been regulars for years. Staff is super sweet and the food is delish!! No MSG and cleaner more quality ingredients than others in the area. Great Vegan and vegetarian options as well as organic tofu! Highly recommend.
I've been here a few times, quality has gone down for sure. Over 3 visits I've tried numerous dishes including Tom yam soup, pad thai, pad see yew and pineapple fried rice, green curry tofu. Portions are ridiculously small I believe has gotten smaller.
Yesterday I ordered the sweet eggplant with brown rice, no flavor, no chilli just overly sweet and very greasy. Chicken satay served with overly sweet peanut butter. Nothing authentic about this place. This will be my last visit.
Customer service is terrible, we were sat outside and had to keep going inside for everything including the bill, don't expect to be served here.
Great experience. Food was really good. Will go back!
By farrrrr the best Thai food I’ve ever had. It is so ridiculously fresh & tasty, it’s almost gourmet-like. The price does also seem a bit “gourmet-like” too in that it’s a tad bit overpriced. But hey, you get what you pay for!!!
Celadon is my favorite Thai place on the west side! Great service and ambiance, and my favorite dish is the green curry… it is just so good!!
Unfortunately, I cannot bring myself to give this place more than 2 stars.
I am completely turned off by the price per portion ratio. We ordered the garlic green bean (a main entree $13), pad thai noodle ($13), and the dynamite wings ($12).
I have never paid this price point for such small portions. Six wings for $12 means $2 per wing. A whole lot of nope when they don’t taste good either. There was nothing dynamite about the flavor. The pad thai noodles weren’t anything to write home about but the garlic green beans were good.
I order this with intention to feed 3 people. This was such a disappointment. I also want to point out that I placed my order 30 mins prior to closing. They still had people dining in and prepared another to go order.
Parking: metered street parking and plaza lot parking. They have a designated pick-up parking spot in front of their door.
Service: pleasant staff.
NOT gluten free friendly.
Told the server 4x I was gluten free before ordering… I asked if the peanut sauce was GF… they didn’t know, checked, said no, but— I didn’t believe them, as I was brought a deep fried egg roll with the Pad Thai entry…
They were rude and uninformed regarding dietary restrictions.
The Pad Thai was sweet and mushy and came with two small cubes of tofu. Smh.
I ended up leaving, not eating, and won’t be back. Ever.
This put me in a significantly better mood. Got the claim to fame Celadon Chicken Curry. Spices are very well blended, just the right spicy/heat level. Carrots and potatoes were cooked thoroughly. This actually was a great lunch to ease what was a rough morning for me.
The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is amazing as well. We came here after walking to the beach. After deciding on Thai, we saw that Celadon had dining available and I'm so glad we were able to try their food because everything was so good!
Absolute worst restaurant. Do not go here and do not order from here. There’s rats in this restaurant !!!! And they wouldn’t even refund me the money ! Really hope this place gets shut down.
Food was very good.... Worth going back for sure!!!!
Placed an order online for wings and pad thai. Somehow we got two orders of wings instead??? Very weird considering I know for a fact we did not order two orders of wings. When we called, they said they sometimes have problems with online orders. Very disappointing because I had been craving pad thai for days :(
Delicious
Celadon is fabulous! We've eaten here for the past six years and it's always wonderful. The food is rich and delicious and flavorful and the staff are all very kind and efficient. It's always an enjoyable experience.
Amazing spot. I've had the chicken pad thai maybe 15 times now. It is part of my regular bread & butter in MDR. I can tell they're strict about covid practices too. Highly recommend.
Have one or two things on the menu I like
- Celadon Yellow Chicken Curry: 4/5 (highest quality chicken I've ever had in a curry and the flavor was really good. carrots and potatoes were a bit undercooked)
- Pad Thai: 3/5 (bland)
- Pineapple Fried Rice: 5/5 (top-tier pineapple fried rice. Shrimp was perfectly cooked and juicy and pineapple was juicy. very flavorful)
They don't offer any option for vegan roti or vegan curry, so, fine, so I got the crispy veg rolls, and I *do* they *would have* been good and the dipping sauce was good, but the outside was nice and crispy and the inside had raw dough. I think they cooked it at too high a temp maybe and it didn't have time to cook through before the outside turned golden. I probably wouldn't order them again based on this experience, but if you're seeing this, Celadon, maybe it's not the first time and you should quality control your veg rolls :)
I got their crab curry and it was awesome. Very filling and incredibly tasty and satisfying. Decent prices for the area, would come back for other foods on their menu.
Tom Kah was completely loaded with a half cup or more of sugar, and I could tell the meat was previously frozen and not fresh. The chicken curry was slightly better with a little less sugar, but the chicken still had that dry, previously frozen taste to it. I love Thai food, but this is not fresh authentic Thai food.
I was driving to take out dinner (🍽) in the form of Thai steamed chicken (🐔) dumplings, small chicken wonton soup (🍲) & chicken broccoli (🥦) with oyster sauce & steamed rice (🍚).
So delicious..😋😋
I received my delivery, and realized my thai iced tea was poorly packed and 2/3of the drink was inside the plastic bag (surrounding the plastic cup). I called the restaurant and the owner was extremely rude and kept saying it’s none of his business and all driver’s fault. Very unpleasant phone call with attitudes, and would not Order from here again!
Good food
Dedicated staff. Great food.
Ordered delivery.
Panang curry was yummy, but next time I'm gonna say no bell peppers, extra cabbage. Shrimp fried rice was great and I got a Thai Iced Tea, too.
All delicious, will definitely order again.
Doordash delivered. Coconut curry was very salty and had bad coconut taste. Fried rice was ok.
Best thai in Venice. The menu is diverse and every item I have had here is excellent. Soups have lots of flavor. The curries are rich and the noodles are cooked perfectly. The food here reminds me of Thailand!
There's a lot of super great Thai in the Venice area. This is a nice, complementary option.
There's a full vegan menu, as well 🙏
This place is Jamming.
More spicy than expected
Good CS, clean, great food, definitely recommend
This is my first visit. The jasmine rice turns out to be steamed white. The servings for beef broccoli with oyster sauce are just right. However, the cooking took too long for me to wait. Even the 2 male customers feel the same way.
so you can't go wrong with Thai food I don't think I've ever had Thai food that I don't like. This place was no exception but was definitely above and beyond. Very fancy atmosphere a little small but did not have trouble seating. Prices were really good for the value of the atmosphere. Had the green curry the green curry was amazing
Great thai restaurant right around the corner from my apartment!
So improved, very tasty.
Great Thai food. The sauces are perfect. The dishes are fresh and not precooked. Eaten here many times and never been disappointed.
I love this Thai restaurant. Very clean and tastefully decorated. Good food.
Small restaurant. Parking is a bit tight but the food is good. Not ideal if you're in a rush. Great service. Friendly servers. The Chicken in coconut lemongrass soup is very good.
Good Thai food option with a great menu selection, updated interior, and reasonable prices.
Food here was great. I ordered food here for lunch and it was quick. Not only was it quick but it was full of flavor and great tasting.
Convenient and easy
Place is clean staff is friendly
Cooks know how to cook food
Seems to be new management or ownership, not the same service or food
Worst Thai food I've ever had! Food is totally bland and tasteless and its overpriced to boot!!!
The best thai Food in town
Food Thai food but the braindead waiter and the homeless lady in there kinda sucked
Excelent
I love Thai food and I do like this restaurant. The parking is difficult and it is on a busy street. The restaurant is never full, but their food is pretty good.
Good good here. I ordered to go from celadon Thai kitchen. Everything so delicious. I will order here again.
Sweet
It is the best Thai food in marina del Rey. I can taste the fresh ingredients in every element of the dishes. The green curry is the Winner. Love that they put big chunk of eggplant in there, Mango salad is very refreshing, herb crusted salmon is delicious very healthy and good quality salmon too for the price. By the way their entrée served with rice. Will be coming back and bring more friend to this place. Thanks celadon for the delicious meals.
Not a place for authentic Thai food. The food was very mediocre, service was okay but well not a great experience to go back to!
Excellent
