Established, family-operated eatery featuring familiar Thai dishes including soups & seafood.
This is the best place to get Thai food in the Desert Hot Springs… and quite possibly in all of Southern California!! You get so much delicious food for the price it is a wonderful surprise. I came from Los Angeles to Desert Hot Springs and a friend showed me this place and it is so refreshing getting a plethora of food in on my plate for the price paid! It was so flavorful and I could not eat it all in one sitting. I loved the service of the workers. They were very polite and reminded me of the land of smiles! It seems like a family run business. The waitress had a smile on her face and frequently checked on us.
I love Thai food, which is why I chose this restaurant, but the server’s attitude and demeanor were not great. They seemed unfriendly and didn’t create a pleasant atmosphere. Because of that, I wouldn’t expect excellent service. However, the food was delicious and served in generous portions. I also ordered curry and requested it to be mild, but it turned out to be spicier than I expected.
Stopped in later in the evening on a weekday to try out the local Thai Food joint and we were glad we did! The Service was excellent! Very warm and cozy atmosphere. We ordered the Drunken Noodles, Thai spring rolls and Tom Kai soup! The food came out really quick and hot! Both temp and spicy! If you don’t like spice make sure you tell them zero spice! Not even a 1! Made the mistake of saying 2 and I regretted it. It was wayyyyy too much spice! Woooo wee! That was my fault though. It toned down the next day
When I ate the left overs! The soup was delicious!!! And so we’re the spring rolls! All in all this is one of the better places to eat in DHS by a long shot. I definitely recommend it for anyone who enjoys Thai Food.
Unexpected find in Desert Hot Springs offers Thai food with local flare. The dishes are served with a smile, and the "mom and pop" service is great. Late night dining until 10 pm with all the traditional Thai dishes are like a Thai "Dennys" and WOW! Portion sizes are the best. Give this place a try, for the area, not too shabby as it will satisfy your Thai craving needs.
Been here in the desert hot springs for 10 years first time going to this place big portions food's really good tables are a little bit small but has a nice little atmosphere to the place the owners are very nice Mongolian beef is definitely the best around and the wontons if you're in the area stop by and try them out
Ordered online and showed up at the time my order was said to be ready. Ended up waiting 35 minutes at the restaurant past my order time to get my food. Get home and find out one of the dishes that was supposed to be shrimp was chicken instead. Called and asked for the difference in price to be made to the charge on my card and was told no problem before being hung up on. Cc charge went thru and they never made the change. They charged me for something I didn't get. I really liked this place but will probably not be back.
Food was delicious LOVE the curry! Authentic flavours + big portions and amazing value ! It’s a lil bright in there but yummy and affordable
Everytime I've wanted to go there, they are never open! I call, people answering phones don't and can't understand English! I called several times, several months, they can't even understand yes open or no. What's the sense in answering your phone?

I love this place. Friendly staff and fresh food at reasonable prices. Portions are large and yummy. The dining room is always very clean.
Excellent sauces and dishes. Generous portions and good prices. We've eaten at several Thai places and really enjoy the food here.
Great Thai food. Huge portions. Great price. Better than most Thai I've had.
I love Thai Palms❣️❣️I had the Mongolian Beef and Panang Curry!!! It was so delish!😋😋😋anyone living or visiting DHS do yourself a favor and try this place out and thank me later!!!
It was fine. Definitely family run, if that’s important to you give it a shot. If you’re expecting a smoothly run ship you’re at the wrong place. Serving sizes were huge. Ingredients were fresh really enjoyed it.
Online Orders are constantly down,
They don't answer the phone after I called 4x to place an order
Haven't physically went to restaurant and already terrible customer service
Definitely a NO for me
We couldn't believe how big the portions were. Great find!
Authentic and delicious — don’t miss this hidden gem in Desert Hot Springs. We weren’t sure what we would find here, but were made to feel at home by real Thai hospitality. We ordered a few dishes but the WINNER was the Pumpkin Curry. Truly amazing!!!
So good! The hostess is super sweet and the food....omg the food is so delicious. Was craving some tom kah, got that with the steamed combo and sticky rice, my hubby and I had a great time dining there and have leftovers for tomorrow 🥰
This place is great
Good food, good portions , yummy 😋
Very good food. Mussaman curry was excellent. Pumpkin curry also excellent.
I love this place their see yew noodles are so good. Also try the penang curry!!
Amazing service, great food, huge portions. Highly recommend it!
Ordered panang curry and spicy fried rice. Both were delicious and quantities were insane. Hospitality was top notch too, cannot get better than this.
Good quality food with affordable prices
Local favorite. Good for family dining, or as a couple.
I loved the food! I used to live in Laos and I went to Thailand on many occasions, so I know their cuisine well and I can say that is very authentic experience. Thank you so much for bringing my memories back!
They’re soo nice and friendly! It’s like dining at a family’s home. Portions are hearty with lots of veggies! We ordered basil chicken and Mongolian beef. Both were great.
No, this place is so understaffed. All doordash orders bumped us to 1 hour wait.
Not sure what happened on this night! Ordered food for pick up- 35mins- Left late so they had closer to 45mins.
When we arrived- nothing had been made. Nothing we ordered tasted like how it normally would. Everything tasted like it had been cooked by someone who was not Thai, or was not familiar with Thai cuisine. But the portions were large so probably great for families.
Wanted to try this spot for a while. Very impressed with the quality of the food! Will be back every week;)
Great food and very friendly service!
Wonderful food.

TERRIBLE service/ possibly scammed me out of my food! First time trying this place, placed an online order with confirmation emails& texts. Spent $55 waited an hour & when I arrived to restaurant the front doors were locked. Called them and at first they said they don’t have an order under my name, only an order for someone named Laura then they hung up the phone. I called back right away, this time they said “oh a guy already pick up that order” I said a guy? Well you didn’t ask him for any sort of confirmation? Also I am a female and said there is no guy here and I was already charged plus online it says the food is ready but hasn’t been picked up yet? They offered no apology simply repeated that a guy already picked up order.
I am going to call my bank to dispute this, not sure if I got scammed? No matter the case this was totally unacceptable. Will never return & dont recommend others to get scammed or have TERRIBLE costumer service either. If I could give 0 stars I would
DO NOT PLACE ONLINE ORDER, THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND NOT GET FOOD
Small town Thai restaurant feel, but the owner is SOOOO friendly and welcoming. You'll feel personal treatment from her. The food size and quality is top notch. The fried rice serving size is huge! I love every dish I've had from here. Love the green curry especially. The fresh spring rolls, not fried, are amazing.
The food was delicious! Super fast and very courteous staff.
Delicious food 😋
Their pad thai sucks - the signature dish that would usually tell you that a Thai restaurant also sucks in general – but everything else on their menu is perfectly delicious!! Go figure.
Had the best Thai meal in years. Fresh vegetables were cooked perfectly, and the sauces were not overpowering.
Been here in the desert hot springs for 10 years first time going to this place big portions food's really good tables are a little bit small but has a nice little atmosphere to the place the owners are very nice Mongolian beef is definitely the best around and the wontons if you're in the area stop by and try them out
Leftovers still on the table our order took over two hours with only 3 other customers in the restaurant.
GO: exceptionally accomplished authentic flavorful Thai meticulously prepared by a "zagat level" chef...welcoming, unpretentious restaurant with gigantic portions at reasonable prices. The hostess' grace and charm are a rare warm treat in these times of austere atmospheres. I treasure this place and believe you will too. Extensive menu representing many regional traditions... they will accommodate your reasonable requests. A huge plus is: no blaring music or TV, instead a gentle nature-video silently pleases your eye. BRING EVERYONE! One hundred stars!
Love the Simese Duck.
Amazing service, atmosphere, and a taste that you can’t find anywhere else. 😋
We loved the authentic food here! We will come back every single time we are in the area! 10/10 👍👍
Had a wonderful dinner early Friday evening. Restaurant was surprisingly empty, but the very kind woman who took care of us was like Mom. We ordered torene of hot and sour shrimp soup, pad thai with chicken, and beef basil. We are good eaters, but the portions are hefty and the quality of the food is amazing and prepared to order. We needed to take some home with us and felt this was some of the best Thai we've ever eaten. Just arrived for the winter and will be back for sure.
Nice, clean atmosphere. Friendly owners. Chicken Pad thai was excellent. Thank you.
Excellent food
Disappointing Experience at Thai Palms in Desert Hot Springs
I recently dined at Thai Palms in Desert Hot Springs and regrettably, my experience was far from satisfactory. I opted for a takeout order and was particularly looking forward to the cucumber salad with Thai dressing.
Upon arriving home and unpacking the order, I was disheartened to discover that the cucumber salad was devoid of any dressing. It essentially consisted of a heap of cucumbers, lacking the crucial Thai flavor that I was anticipating.
In an attempt to rectify the situation, I contacted the restaurant to request a refund for the missing item. To my surprise and dismay, I was met with resistance and treated with discourtesy. The customer service exhibited during this interaction was abysmal, to say the least.
Regrettably, I must advise against patronizing Thai Palms based on this disappointing encounter. The lack of attention to detail and the dismissive attitude towards customer concerns is disheartening. I, for one, have decided not to return to this establishment.
I hope that this feedback serves as an opportunity for improvement for Thai Palms, as there is potential for them to provide a much better dining experience.
Worst food. Raw chicken satay that took 45 minutes w 2 people in the place and zero to go. 100% inedible, sadly
Amazing best thia food and fully authentic. Family owned business...I have tried many thia restaurants and nothing compares to this one ..great food and service
Delicious food, as always, portions are big, a bit expensive but worth every penny of it. Looking forward for another visit.
Great food, excellent service. But be patient! It was Monday and seemed to be a lot more to go orders than dine in, and the sweet woman in front by herself wasn’t the fastest, But, she was genuinely so friendly with great service. She was Very present with each patron even with the phone ringing and waiting tables by herself. Very sweet. And the food is excellent! Very reasonable prices with large portions. The amount I had to take home ( and the sweet lady there, actually put the food in the box for me (something rare these days) was larger than the single serving I have gotten at other Thai places that charge way more.
I highly recommend this place. It is not the fastest so be patient, because it is well worth the wait!
I went to the restaurant with family and there was a sign that said it was temporarily closed for the summer.
They charged my credit card TWICE for a pick-up order. I didn't realize they double charged me until I checked my statement a couple weeks later. Very disappointed.
Unexpected find in Desert Hot Springs offers Thai food with local flare. The dishes are served with a smile, and the "mom and pop" service is great. Very good. Delicious.
Service und essen war perfekt! Sehr nette Dame und das Essen für den guten Preis war großartig! Von außen sieht es etwas unscheinbar aus, aber drin sehr gemütlich!
Store was not open when it said it was.
Absolutely fabulous fabulous food I love their coconut rice dish and all of their chicken dishes well at least the six I've tried are phenomenal.. the atmosphere is very peaceful in the people that run the restaurant are very wonderful
Good food but I wasn't crazy about the atmosphere at all. It just didn't feel inviting or appealing. The lady who was there was nice and the service was ok... It needs some atmospheric changes.
Dinner was delicious. Take out was our mission. I was pleased to do business with a local merchant who works very hard to please her customers. If the phone rings unanswered, keep trying since the proprietor may be busy serving others. Pad Thai and curry with fresh rolls was perfect.
Good Thai food in Desert Hot Springs. There was no one else in the restaurant when we arrived, which always concerns me. But the food was good and our server was very personable.
Surprised to find this authentic Thai cuisine in town. Tried the red curry and it was creamy and rich. Lady owner was friendly and attentive.
Great buy
People order a lot of food here. Like a box of food. They are very nice and personable. Plenty of seating.
Tasty Thai food. I always check out the pad thai. Which had delicate seasoning and lots of chopped scallions. Noodles nicely fried. Chicken was on the bland side. Partner had Volcano with medium seasoning. Good. Not too hot.
*Second party review*
I deliver for DoorDash and GrubHub and I do a few for this place here and there. From customers opinion this is a great place with great food. I can say from first hand that it smells amazing.
waste of time if you ask me.
So much standing around . They arent even busy...The chefs are young walkin around touching stuff. i dont trust it. weird
Die Speisen sind komplett frisch zubereitet. Sehr leckeres und knackiges Gemüse. Nicht die schönste Atmosphäre zum längeren Sitzen aber super gutes Preis leistungs verhältnis, guter Service und sehr grosse Portionen.
Looks shabby and not attractive on the outside , but go in and ull find a very authentically Thai place. Low staffed but the food was tasty, colorful, and the owner lady was very nice and sweet. Prices are very reasonable. Would definitely go there again.
Had the green apple salad (spicy and tasty), spicy basil chicken (very good) and the drunken noodles (great flavors). Food was great. Service was good but very slow. Took over 90 minutes for dinner. Allow yourself time and plan for a wait.
Food was delicious and our waitress was amazing
The server is so warm and friendly and the food divine.
Small unassuming location. However the service was great considering this night it was just the owner and her husband. The food really surprised us. We don't have to go to Palm Springs for Thai. I mean we will if we want to get out of town, but finally an amazing Thai restaurant here in town!!!! We'll be going back many times. Love the green curry, the fresh rolls and the tom kha soup.
Delicioso y porciones bastante grandes. 100% recomendado.
The food was fabulous and the service was great. Highly recommended.
Really great food and amazing friendly owner..
Delivery order -Orange Chicken was hot, fresh and amazing! Not over sweet. The Drunken Noddles were also very good and a large portion. Recommend for take out.
Got dinner here to-go while I was in town and was craving some Thai food. I placed the order online and picked it up about 50 minutes later due to it being a large order. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed their dishes. They are very generous and each dish were very large portions. They also have us plenty of utensil and plates with our orders. Definitely stop by here if you’re craving some good Thai food!
I am personally pretty picky about Thai Food. However, after last night, I can wholeheartedly say that this place is absolutely amazing. The food was rich in flavor. The Thai Red Curry was creamy, loaded with various vegetables and complimented the Pineapple Fried Rice Dish incredibly well. Lots of contrasting and hearty textures, especially in the Pad Thai. The tofu was nice and crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The food really warms up your soul. Wrapping up our meal, we got to try their Thai Tea, which was cold and sweet. The lady who helped us out was so sweet, and kept initiating short, but meaningful conversations with us. It brought me back to those times when my grandmother used to take care of us and feed us whenever we visited her. I highly recommend eating at this place, you get a familial feel as you walk through the doors, and sit down to eat food that is entirely comforting to the heart. The experience was entirely worth the price.
The food is always amazing there. You are never left hungry 😋
No es buen lugar no lo recomendaría
Unpretentious and gracious, some of the best Thai food ever.
They need 1 hour to prepare your food. Be prepared if you planned to eat here.
Long wait food had no flavor people are nice family location was cool but the food needed alot of work for the price
This is my Best Thai restaurant in USA! Love it! Reminds me of Thailand for real! The lady who works there is amazing, so nice and respectful and helpful! The food is perfect as well! Prices are great and portions are massive 😍😍! This place makes me feel like am home.
Nice place to relax and have some good food
So glad they are open again. The food is great!
Worst sticky rice with mango I've ever had, this is how the dish handed to me, no food display, feels like they do not care, mango isn't fresh, have black/rotten look from inside&out.
The coconut cream they pour on the rice have a weird artificial almond taste, I feel like eating public washroom hand soap! We left this dish almost untouched.
Not to mention the slow service, cook rush out to serve the food.
I'm surprisingly to see so many reviews said the food was amazing, the other dish we've ordered are also below average, maybe we didn't order the one they're good at, but we're definitely have no interest to come back again.
2star give to big portion size though.
The portions are huge and delicious!
Te restaurant is clean and the service is great.
Don't forget to have a, Thai beer.. ice cold and delicious!!
Thai palm looks like it has been remodeled food comes hot and delicious
Love their food and they just remodeled and it looks great.
Can not eat in but call and order ahead, lovely people
Amazing food! The pumpkin curry was literally to die for. The spring rolls were fresher than a good monsoon rain in the desert! And the lady who helped us??? Sweeter than actual sweet tea! Lovely woman. Please tip her, generously!
Great food, but it’s take out only, and good luck getting someone to answer the phone!
Went here with my child of 8 years old to try something new and different. It was 2:45 restaurant was empty. Explained to waiter we just wanted to tai ice teas, however, wanted my boy to check out the menu and look forward to returning to have a meal here at a later date.
My son and I had a nice experience enjoyed the scenery and the two ice teas. My son was looking forward to coming back for a meal and trying something new and different. It was going to be a real treat. However, upon departure, asked for check. The bill was higher than expected. I was charged $.50 per water..tap water. I asked the waiter "why?" He walked off like he didn't understand me. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth, for which i haven't returned.
Horrible service. Called for order to go, they said to wait 30:mins. Went to pickup after 30:mins, they said it would be another 5 mins. I waited another 5 mins. Then they said they'd bring my food to my car when it was ready. I waited another full 30:mins. Still no food. I had them cancel my order. They provided no apologies or any consideration to me as a valued customer of any kind, they didn't care at all.
We tried to go on Sunday but they were closed. We ordered to-go a few days later. The only reason I gave 2 stars is that we ordered a 0-1 star for spicy, but was too spicy to eat much of it.
Beyond delicious. Very packed with food, each dish. I tried the Pad Se Ew and my husband tried the Drunken Noodles. And the waiter was so kind
What do you expect if you get Thai food from a white man in the desert..?
Great service, though.
I love Thai food. They go out of their way to make sure your food is better than expected.
Great food! The Chicken Pad Thai was amazing. Very kind people as well. Will be back.
Nice atmosphere
Food was good. Not a lot of flavor.
Good little Thai place in the desert
I only go here out of convenience when I'm staying at Miracle Hot Springs. I got the mixed vegetables curry and green papaya salad....it's ok
I was visiting for a hike in Joshua tree. The food and the service was fantastic
Delicious food.
Ordered several items (green curry, drunken noodles and spicy eggplant) and they were all top drawer. The flavor was delicious and the serving size was VERY generous. They were very nice as well. Would not hesitate to return next time in the area.
Despite long wait times, it's worth it. Food is so delicious & fresh, the flavors are incredible, and the staff are so friendly. Just order well in advance of when you hope to eat, drive around back and someone will come out to check your order. 👌🏾🙏🏾💚
Foods are really good. Gem in the Desert Hot Springs.
Big portion but food was dry and it took 45 min to get ready (20 min longer than what they said it would be)
Great food ❤️
Love everything
I have loved their food since 2008. It's a jewel in the Desert. Lots of vegetarian dishes, really good too. Do yourselfa favor, dine here. It's authentic Thai.
I have ordered from here for pickup and have also used DoorDash to get lunch. I ordered 40 minutes before the 2:30PM closing time and the restaurant canceled my order. I was very disappointed to see this as i ordered well before the closing time.
Fast Service, excellent customer service. Thank you
I really do love Thai Palms restaurant one of my favorite local restaurants and I love the employees there I so do appreciate them
Love this restaurant 😍 its something new for me and dishes are a good quantity for reasonable price they taste delicious 😋 and i most definitely will be eating from here again 🍴
Ordered take out big portions, good food
This was the best meal I have had in many months. I felt like I was in Thailand in someone's grandmother's house, having to say "don't you dare ever lose these recipes!" I wish I had taken a picture of the man running food out to cars. He was fantastic! We had the green curry with chicken, the sampler appetizers, orange chicken, and mango with sticky rice. Generous servings, and so delicious! WOW. We live in Yucca Valley, this is our Thai spot from now on. Soooo good!!
Oh my this place is phenomenal! First, everything is very fresh. Secondly, the flavor is rich! Third the portions are massive! During these times it’s important to get the most and quality for our money. We will continue to do pick up from Thai Palma! Thank you for your efforts ❤️
I give a 5 star for the food the service inside sucks so we always get it to go.
Absolutely delicious. The staff was very helpful & pleasant. Looking forward to our next date night
Small place with absolutely wonderful food. I had yellow curry with tofu and my friend had drunken noodles with shrimp. Five stars for both.
This place is Fire great food. Dont sleep on this place.
湯麵好吃
Dingy
Wow!!! Surprisely good food- first time patronizing this establishment
It's a nice place, but was a little upset. My wife loves snow peas, we actually determine which Thai places we go to by if they have them. The menu said they did, yet they did not. I love soda water and they didn't have that. The chow mein noodles seemed to be spaghetti noodles instead. Like I said, nice enough place, but we won't come back.
Delicious!! I got the red curry with tofu
Worst green curry I have ever had. Worst service also.
Thai Palms has the most exquisite food! The flavor and freshness is always on point! They have a strange schedule and aren't always open as normal business hours( or as often as I'd like or in occassions they've been closed and I've needed this goodness) but when you get it puts worth it. Never disappointed.
Terrible quality food. Service was good. 🤷♂️
Yumm
Was very excited to experience this place, unfortunately I was deal a bad hand and received ZERO service after we were sat and provided our menu. My Son-in-Law and I waited a full 30 minutes before we walked out. We watched a couple who was sat 10 minutes after us get their drinks and order their food, and even after waving vigorously at the waiter as he was walking towards me, to get his attention, he turned and walked away. Never again.
Delicious food, tastes fresh. Good portions. Very cold inside the restaurant.
Excellent Thai food, the real deal! Some of the best we've had, and it's in Desert Hot Springs!
Funky, but great food and service.
outstanding food
great food with generous portions
Excellent food!
Great food. Large portions.
I really like the food!
Good food.
As always, the food is fantastic. Service just so so but they are working hard please always
So good !
Food was very good and big portion But they need to improve Customer service in the restaurant
The food was decent and would have been better if the host/server was personable & prepared. Seated ourselves and told to grab our own menus. No table set up had to ask for everything. No follow up or interaction whatsoever.
