I recently tried their Thai basil fried rice and green Thai curry, and both dishes were exceptional. The fried rice was perfectly seasoned, and the green curry had a rich, flavorful sauce with just the right amount of spice. You can also try pad Thai it is delish too. Highly recommended!
We visited for the first time this evening based on a recommendation from a social group, and it exceeded our expectations! The atmosphere was fantastic—calm, soothing, and trendy. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service with a personal touch. The food was absolutely amazing, with generous portions that left us more than satisfied. We can’t wait to return!
Best Thai I’ve had in Atlanta hands down. Best overall restaurant in this area. Food is fresh flavorful and plentiful. Atmosphere is super cute and inviting. Staff is also superb every time. 10/10 for me family, and this is coming from someone who lived in Manhattan in Hell’s Kitchen which was the center of the best Thai in the city.
Updated from Bai Tong. Had the pad thai, drunken noodles and green curry - all were savory and delicious. We also tried the roti and thai squared, which wasn’t amazing as the entrees and were very small. I probably won’t get those again. However, it is a nice intimate restaurant and would come back to try other entrees.
Wonderful new Thai restaurant! The Thai squared noodles are perfectly flavored. My husband had the crispy duck Panamg and it too was just delicious! Friendly waiter and cozy atmosphere. One of our new faves!
Late lunch today in Johns Creek at Thai Squared. Located in a strip center off McGinnis Ferry
Highs:
Newly updated interior
Squeaky clean
Allison was my server: great attitude, nice smile and helpful w/ the menu
Entree: Spicy Basil Leaves, ground chicken w/ egg was Excellent in temperature and spicyness!
While there was no ‘visible’ bar, they do server beer & wine
Would I go back: Yes, when in the Johns Creek area
Love this spot for lunch. They have so many great dishes that put a spin on Thai dishes to americanize them. The starter platter is fantastic. They bring out their house soup with a lunch ordered entree. Good stuff. They will make it however spicy you want. Just need to specify the degree of spicy. I love their beef red curry. The chicken jubilee is good. The volcano chicken is good. Uncle Bob's chicken is good. So many good dishes. Could eat here 3 times a week if I could afford it. If you enjoyed this review please be sure to hit the like button. Thank you!
Ok .. too much time .. not able to handle large crowds…. Heavy accent
Amazing! Finally found my favorite local Thai restaurant!

My server, Ryan du, was so thoughtful and attentive to my table. Would come again!
This place is amazing bro. Carlin was an amazing server because she’s very friendly very amazing very funny and got the entire order right!! And very quick if you come ask for Carlin! Best server in johns creek!!!
Love this place. Had the Basil duck and it was perfect 👌. This is one of our favorite places in John's creek/Duluth area.
Unbelievably great food. Beautiful restaurant. Excellent service. Definite repeat.
Typical Thai food. Good taste. Soups are good
Pretty good Thai food ! Service is friendly, and they are quick and efficient.
I normally go to the other Thai Squared on Windward but tried this location in John’s Creek. Great atmosphere and decor. Food was delicious as always.
다른 메뉴는 spicy basil leaves ground chicken with fried egg 였는데 그건 그럭저럭 괜찮음 근데 야채가 고기에 비해 너무 커서 식감이 좀 ;;;
가 이 나온 오렌지는 너무 말라 있었고 파슬리는 얼어 있었음
드렁큰 누들이 14.99 헐 ;;;
하지만 직원들은 친절했음 👍
I have tried this place twice in the past 2 months. I ordered Pad Thai Chicken first and then ordered Massaman Curry today. Neither had very much flavor. Very bland. This is defiantly not a Thai restaurant I would recommend.
My family and I got takeout from here a few weeks ago. Even close to closing time, the staff was so kind and got us our food so fast! Our food was delicious. Pad Thai, drunken noodles and curry!! Service and food was fantastic!!
Excellent ambience and very nice service. Not too crowded, perfect place for causal eating.
Great flavor in all dishes we tried.

BIG changes as Bai Tong has been replaced with Thai squared.
Different menu, old favorites are gone.
BIG price increases making this a poor value. The ingredients in these dishes did not go up by price increase percentages. Better values exist nearby.
We went on a Sunday afternoon & were very impressed with the new ambiance, service, food, the warmth & the authenticity overall! Highly recommended!
Love this place. To be honest, I would come here everyday for dinner to eat their fried rice if I could afford it. But alas, a couple times a month will have to do. I'm a tried and true type of person so once I find something I like, that's basically all I order, which is why the only two things I've tried here are the tofu thai fried rice and the vegetable spring rolls. Both are absolutely delicious (and its hard to make tofu taste good so that's saying something) and I would 100% recommend.
My go to place for Thai
Excellent food! Glad to have this place in Johns creek. Atmosphere is nice. Could use a more extensive drink menu. We enjoyed and will be back!
We had a great lunch. The Pad Thai and Pad Si-Ew were both well flavored and hot when delivered. I also recommend trying the honey ginger tea. Serving staff were friendly and attentive.
The food was so scrumdiddlyumptious and the staff were so warm and welcoming.😍🥹
I got to lunch place on a weekday. Service js fast, efficient and delicious. On the mild side of spiciness so good for a varied group.
Recommended to all!
Update 2024: The renovation is really nice! I like the updated menu with some new dishes. Tried the Pad Mama and it was really good!
New owners have got it right! Very nice dining room. Wait staff were excellent and the food was fantastic! I had the three sauce chicken with a 3 count heat and I almost licked the plate. Bravo!
Overall amazing experience. Loved the benign and patient service, always respectful, and the luscious but serene environment was enjoyable to experience. Food was superb.
Food is great!!! Was coming here before the name change. Atmosphere is amazing with the reopening
Great food and wonderful service!
Everyone was so kind and the food was absolutely delicious. The experience was very pleasant and we will definitely be coming back again!
We were pleasantly surprised... both the vegetable fried rice and the Massaman curry were delicious! Prices were more reasonable than some, and service was friendly and fast.
The food was good. I am marking them down based on service. We have eaten here a few times before and never experienced what we did the other day. We arrived and ordered. Afterwards two other customers came in and ordered. We watched them both receive food before us. After they received their food they brought our food out. I asked why that was and she said ours took longer to cook as a curry. Interesting enough, one of the people that came after us had the same thing, yet they got their food before us. I was told one of them had a small child. I said that is a teenager and should not matter. I came before them and should have been served before them without you pwrsonally deciding who needed their food first.
Ate in for the first time and ambiance is not bad at all. Food is ...
EDIT: Ownership change and food is not the same. What a shame.
Its not started yet officially, but they started taking orders. Not so great.
Ordered delivery via Uber Eats. The Tom Kha and calamari were tasty, but the basil fried rice was crunchy. Much of it was undercooked. I didn't want to waste the $15 so I had to re-cook it
Can't go in, but whatever. Ordered spicy Basil chicken. Almost no flavor whatsoever. Very disappointed. Won't return.
We ordered chicken noodles and veg green curry. While the food was tasty there were hardly any vegetables or chicken in the noodles and curry. Seems overpriced for flavored noodles and curry! I miss Bai tong!
Food: 2/5 | Service
this is not Bai Tong anymore. Food is horrible now. we were going to or picking from Bai Tong for as long as it had been there. we ordered the exact same dishes we have ordered for years, totally different and bad! AVOID!
Used tonlove the place, but only a 1 if I can't go in
We have been going to this place for a few years, out top place, I gave it a 4 star bcus this is our 1st time in complete disappointment. Not sure what happened, but all 5 plates were no good. I know they are only taking orders out, I hope when they open the restaurant it goes back to normal.
Yo this place is fire. Its takeout only right now cause the new owner is remodeling the place (Bai Tong to thai squared). Couldn't find it on Uber Eats tho.
Made a pretty big order and they nailed it. Perfect heat and a ton of flavor. Ordered everything vegetarian and not a single issue. Ordered like 4 curries and they ran out of white rice (?) so she replaced two portions with fried rice. Wasn't mad cause honestly it's like an upgrade lol. She even added an appetizer for the trouble which was super nice and totally not expected.
Definitely coming back.
The Tom Kha (coconut) soup is delicious! I order it plain, broth only & I always enjoy it! Last time I took it out they surprised me with 2 spring rolls “on the house” hiding in the bag! So kind of them!
We ordered online due to remodeling and our food was ready so fast! The portions were huge and the owner gave us some free cheese rolls which was so kind. Definitely recommend this place and I’m excited to see what it looks like in the future!
Decent at best
Amazing food!! fresh always good. have had most things on their menu: pad thai , green curry, basil fried rice.
The food is very pricey. We ordered medium spicy and the food was super spicy. We couldn’t eat and threw most of the food
I was so hoping to find a solid Thai street food joynt. Bummed. Maybe an off night but food was really sweet, slow, and I think they forgot about us. Took a good deal of time to get a menu. 8:00 with 2 kids under 7. Shame on me. $$$
Sorry. I try to not be a hater on here.
Coconut soup was not good
Chicken spring roll was flat no veggies in it.
Very disappointed will not go back.
Dinner menu is pricy and is in effect after 5 pm weekdays (understandable) and full day on weekends and holidays. 20% tip is added by default which adds on. Food is tasty and service is good.
Today was supposed to have been a very special day for me. My beautiful two daughters took me to my favorite restaurant which turned out to be a racism nightmare on my 60th birthday.I have eaten here over 4 times with no issues. Today we sat and watched people’s come in after us and our order still wasn’t taken. I asked for a bottle Coke Zero and that never came. Someone came over and ask if we wanted an appetizer, we order calamari it came after waiting 40 minutes. Three sets of other customers came we still unnoticed. By this time we asked for our check. Then some guys comes over asking us why we were leaving. I spoke up this time. Sir, we’ve been sitting here for 40 minutes maybe longer. Folks that came after us are eating and y’all walk by us like we’re invisible. I told him I’ve eaten here several times but I promise you from this day forward you will never see a dime of our money. We are the only black peoples here and this is how y’all treat peoples. You will be getting bad reviews from all three of us. We left and went to Bakhara the food was delicious and service’s wonderful. This place deserves a zero star.
This place is amazing food is authentic and always fresh tastes great
Fantastic food consistently.
I’ve been a to go customer and dine in customer. Food is sooo good. The service is very prompt and courteous.
One of the nice Thai restaurants here in the area , I really liked the drunken noodles 👍
Pros: good vegetarian options: eggplant and tofu, drunken noodles, panang curry.
Cons: mediocre coconut soup, rama curry, curry puffs. Did not like the slow service and felt that default tip of 20% is too high.
Excellent restaurant...always better than our prior visit. Food is great.
Good food and fast service. Staff is attentive and checks on you several times. Coconut soup is much more thicker and less watery than other places.
Always a good experience, drunken noodles are the best.
Attentive & pleasant service, except after just starting our appetizers, out entries were delivered! The wine list has some nice wines, but the prices seemed high. (an $11 NZ white was $35). The food prices by comparison were on the low side.
The Tom Yum soup was tasty, but not spicy. Even a dose of the table chili sauce didn't achieve the intensity I associate with the dish.
The Curry Puffs were both interesting and good, but the Spring Rolls had very dense filling which was unappealing. The two curry dishes were good, but something tasted off with the Pad Thai.
Ordered the spicy basil noodles and green curry to go. I always travel a little farther from Alpharetta for some decent thai food. Always enjoy my meal here. Good portions and perfect spice levels.
Great food and consistently excellent
Authentic thai food and very nice people! I live basil chicken, green curry and pad thai noodles. My kids love it too and they are very picky!
Excellent Thai food. Service was a bit slow but the food came quickly. I'll be back for sure.
Good food, nice people
Food was great. Estimates for pickup of food was way off and waited 30 minutes at restaurant
Great taste!
It’s my wife and I’s second time eating here for dinner. Excellent food and service. We got the pineapple & massaman curry at level 3 heat. For dessert we did the mango and sticky rice, which was also very good.
This place used to be really good. It isn’t anymore. The massaman curry tasted like it had mustard in it and the rice was undercooked, almost crunchy. We got dinner it to go and literally ended up throwing it out. Not recommended.
Go-to lunch spot when in the area. I've had their green curry with chicken many times but have recently been getting the Fire and Ice.
Good place, good food, Service was very fast. The quality is good. Overall good place to eat.
Love this place. Ask for the coconut cake.
So good !!!! The drunken noodles are a must have !!
Volcano chicken was good. Unfortunately, the Volcano Chicken at Spicy Level 4 was not spicy, but instead sweet.
I’m not sure if the problem was I arrived at 1:30 (they close at 2:30) or that I wasn’t who they wanted to serve, however, I was greeted with a rude attitude…at the door. I asked for mild on 2 entrees and was given Hot 2 and Hot 3 and when I inquired, was given even MORE of an attitude and decided to get up and leave. I did absolutely NOTHING to deserve what I received and it’s disheartening and sad. I said a prayer for the people in this business.
Good curry. I'd eat here again for sure
Came in on a slow Tuesday night. Staff seemed annoyed, the place was empty, and it was 30 minutes before close. After confirming dining in was available, ordered two apps and a curry.
The dumplings were a bit commercial tasting, the green lip mussels were excellent.
Ordered Green Curry chicken, which was decent but not superlative.
Nonetheless, I recommend to a friend.
We came here on a weekday . The server was in a hurry and rude. The spring rolls were burnt, drunken noodles had a weird smell. In all a very unpleasant experience .
We were here on a Friday at 06:30pm and it took forever for our food to arrive (Thai fried rice and Eggplant & Tofu) despite the restaurant being not being busy at all. When the food finally did arrive, it was meh. I literally had to hunt for the chicken in the mountain of fried rice. I would not recommend this place unless you’re desperate to eat Thai food.
I’m in town for work and found this gem! Amazing food matched with unbelievable service. I’ll definitely be back throughout my stay!
nothing but good thingsn to say
The kitchen is fast and service is friendly, but the food quality was lacking for the price point. As a reference, I ordered a basic chicken pad thai and would go elsewhere in the future.
Tasty food and great consistent service.
I love this thai restaurant's masaman curry chicken. It's the best I've tasted. I called in a to go order and was told an approx time it will be ready. A mistake acurred, I had to wait longer when I arrived. No utensils were in the bag. Due to the fact that I usually get great service here and sometimes mistakes happen. I will be back.
I ordered again a couple of days ago. I ordered masaman curry chicken to go. I went to pick it up and I asked for utensils and the man told me everything was in plastic. I repeated to him could I please get utensils. He told me they were already in the bag. I could see only my food was in the bag. Then he put some utensils in the bag. So if I had just taken his word I wouldn't have had utensils. Is there a problem with giving out utensils fo to go orders?? The food tasted good as always.
I usually have a great experience and never had any issues with the food.
It was only okay! I've had better tasting Thai food. The Red Thai Curry I ordered had no depth of flavor and seemed watered down. The service was good and dishes were served in a timely manner. I made a reservation via the google assistant app, unfortantely they were not expecting us, but accomadated us nevertheless. Gratuity was included for our party of 9. The restaurant felt outdated and dark, don't think I'll be back.
Food and service is always excellent
We were poorly treated and they took forever when there weren't too many people in the restaurant. Second, the food was horrible and the portions were really bad. The food was way too salty. The food was in a huge plate and they only filled a tiny part of the plate.
Best Thai food.
I wanted this restaurant to have good food. $60 for food not editable. No flavor. You are better off buying a frozen meal from the supermarket. Just terrible. Nice servers.
Pad thai
Everything I had here was amazing. The Tom kha was savory and delicious. The pad thai and Thai fried rice were both generous portions and amazing. I am so glad I found this place.
I've gone here for at least 5 years and tried a decent portion of their menu. Great thai food and probably my favorite restaurant.
Edit: Kinda fallen off in recent years. Not sure why, but I believe it started near covid. Still decent.
Way too salty
Probably the best food I've had on this trip
Awesome food ,and friendly staff ,went on Mothers day ,Jubilee chicken, Drunken noodles, were just awesome ,and to top it ,Coconut cake was just heavenly .Will be there soon .
Based on a good review I tried this place. I have to say this was the worst thai food I ever had in my life. Drunken noodle was all burnt and pad thai was so salty and no taste. I threw it in the garbage can. AWFUL. This was the first time and will be the last.
Really good thai food place if that's what your looking for. Cheese rolls = underrated and red curry = overrated. The curry puff = a bad samosa (if you've ever had one of those). But overall, panang curry, curry fried rice, drunken noodles... they're all 🤤
Satay was good. Curries were average with lot of sugar.
Panang Curry!! Need I say more!!
I heard this place was good for Thai food. I have ordered basil fried rice with chicken here. Portion and quality is good for the price. Taste was good but a bit salty for me. May be it happened for this order.
I will definitely visit this place again and try their drunken noodles.
Don't call it a tip when it's really an 18% additional fee. I tip between 15-25% normally so you didn't get any additional monies from me but I felt like I got less service since "tip" is guaranteed and took away my ability to gift for good service.
Food was okay. I enjoyed and left full and content.
Based on the reviews, I thought we would try something new.
Bad decision.
I should have known when I saw the sign on the door that this was not a good place to dine. It said that because of shortage of staff, 18% TIP was added to all orders. The sign doesn't really make sense, and a restaurant that has to add a tip means they are having issues getting a good tip from customers.
Anyway, my daughter ordered a wonton soup. It was awful. It had some combination of spices that really should not be there, including a minty taste.
My other daughter ordered a chicken dish, and the chicken was extremely dry, like it had sat around and dried out.
I ordered volcano chicken. Again, the chicken tasted hard and dry. It was obviously reheated chicken. It was pretty obvious too. In addition, all of the meals were pretty bland, with very little flavor.
This was the first time in a long time we chose not to take leftovers home. I get that there is a shortage of workers and we are coming out of a pandemic. But we paid 70 bucks for really awful food that we ate less than half of. This was really unacceptable. I guess I know now why they have to add a tip to the meals.
First and last time.
Awesome food, place and people specially the coconut cake. Will love to comeback for more.
Food is always good. They are now closed on Tuesdays.
One of my favorite Thai food near my home
Panang curry and the garden chicken spicy were absolutely delicious. The portions are plenty and fulfilling. The place atmosphere is welcoming and clean.
Ordered a to go. Got to the restaurant and they had me wait for 20 minutes. The food was already made and waiting on the counter while i was waiting. The cashier never bothered to check if the food was for me. Clueless employees.
This place is the real deal! From the pad thai to the curry rice as side dishes. The scallops and shrimp were cooked perfectly in a delicious sauce. The eggplant and tofu was crispy and so flavorful! Try the Thai Iced teas to wash everything down, not overly sweet and compliments the food perfectly. Great staff also. Due to the staff shortage they do automatically charge 18% gratuity, but believe me it's worth it!
A very good place if you have a tingling taste bud for Thai food. Food is very good here. I have ordered take out multiple times due to pandemic and never been disappointed. I will keep visiting them.
Great Thai food restaurant, their appetizers and food are freshly made inhouse, shareable dishes and staff is welcoming. Nice ambiance.
So many people order to go.
My family loves this restaurant. My kids always ask for Bai Tong for their birthday. They are so excited when they have a complimentary coconut cake with candle for their birthday. Nice patio setting, we love fresh air on the patio. Their staff are friendly and always get what we want. We are very specific for our requirements because we are vegetarian. They never disappoint us. There are plenty of parking lots. Parking our car has never been an issue for us.
Soup is awesome, spring rolls are the best.Every dish we have tried is super. Been here many times. Staff friendly.
Visit by all the reviews. Not sure how good foods were before, but I have had plenty Thai foods before. Tom Yum soup tasted like can foods and Pad Thai was too salty. Tip is mandatory? What difference does that makes if the foods are bad to never come back.
Excellent food and serving size. Cannot wait to go back again...
Delicious food!
I always do a takeout. Foods are very tasty.
I had the red curry chicken. The food was very good; the service was good too.
I'll definitely be back.
Food and price are good
