However we came for the food and my partner ordered a meat dish that was actually pretty good. I decided to be bold and ordered the vegan duck soup as I was curious how the fake duck would taste. The soup broth was ok but the fake duck which was essentially gluten, tasted like cardboard. Also all the items on the menu were way overpriced. The meal for the 2 of us was nearly $50. It looks like a family restaurant with the wife serving and the husband as the chef.

I tried the V43 Pad Woon Sen and Sushi Burritos with Peanut sauce both were really good. Talk to the owner she so sweet and friendly. Also gave me a mini vegan ice cream, so cute ☺️. Really nice place, will come back again! 😋

Stopped by for a nice dinner before checking out the cowboy saloon across the street. There’s a small parking lot in the plaza, and the restaurant is super cute! Fun and vibrantly decorated. Owner was very nice. Food came fast and was generously portioned. I tried the pad see ew with chicken. Amazing flavor and noodles! Prices were decent too. Definitely recommend and would be back again.

I got the vegetarian rolls with tofu and the Bangkok curry noodles with tofu. It was one of the most amazing meals I've had, I thought the peanutiness would be overwhelming, but it was a mellow taste that pairs well with the vegetables and the noodles. Also, the lady who served the food is so sweet and they made the peanut sauce in house!! This was one of the best experiences I've had in a while, I recommend!!

I love that they don't have a lot of dine-in costumers because mostly is online so we always have the place for ourselves which gives me some peace and quiet while we eat.

Lastly, the old Thai lady who served is such a sweetheart. I feel like each time she brings out our food is a personal reminder of my lola (grandmother) cooking for me. She also gives out free turon with chocolate syrup for dessert. In my two visits, I always enjoy my experience here. A newfound local gem amidst busy streets. ❤️

the best vegan thai i ever had!!!

I've been eating here for 20+ years, every time I try another Thai place I am reminded why I frequent My Thai. Fried rice is 2nd to none. Pad thai is always so good. The curries are all amazing. I've never been disappointed when dining here.

every time i’m desperate enough to come here, i’m reminded as to why this place should never be an option. it’s down the street and sometimes when i’m in a pinch, i’ll try to give this place the benefit of the doubt. before you even walk inside you are immediately met with the ugliest storefront that’s truly just an eyesore, Then you walk in and it just gets worse. The decor is actually the least significant of the issues with this place. The woman who owns it is a total maniac. Every time i’ve come here over the years she’s been insanely rude to me while i’m always polite and kind to her, and always leave a tip. Then you get to the food, and it is always just completely flavorless and sparse. it’s always a gamble. it used to be slightly better a few years ago. but now it’s 100/100 chance of dissatisfaction. if you dare to ask for any extras, or have even a slight objection to the food you’re served, you will be torn apart by that owner woman. She’s actually so scary. it’s especially puzzling for me because i know i’ve always been nice to her and never gave her a reason to act that way. i’ve seen her be incredibly rude to my mom as well. i would have less of an issue if the food was good, but it’s not. honestly, it’s terrible. Like awful. DONT COME HERE!! Amazing siam down the road is way better and they’re way nicer there.

Everything in this place is so delicious, savory ( a fan of the teriyaki chicken and the mango salad) and sweet (pancakes and sticky rice are amazing). Is so exciting to have so many vegan options. I can’t get enough.

Been coming here for years since I was in college. Love the food and the people behind the counter; they’re always so welcoming and cheerful. I’ve only had item from the vegan menu, because I think they’re much better off the bag. I recommend the yellow curry - with soy chicken - if you don’t know what to eat here.

Everything was Outstanding!

Based on the other reviews, I’m guessing they must have just been having a bad day, but we had a horrible experience here. We placed an online order yesterday that was supposed to be ready at 1215. We showed up a little early and were told it wouldn’t be ready until 1220, which wasn’t a problem because we were early and we knew it may not be ready at that time. We came back and were told they were really backed up so it would be another 10 mins. Fast forward 10 mins, our food still isn’t ready and we’re told another 10 mins. To no surprise, we show up 10 minutes later and two of our items still weren’t ready. Finally, our food was ready at 1245, 30 minutes after we were supposed to pick it up. I understand the challenges of being understaffed, but had she just been honest with us from the start, we could have come back when the food was actually going to be ready instead of waiting in our car for 30 minutes. I was also frustrated because there was a couple who walked in to order and they got their food before us. Overall, the food was “fine.” The curry lacked any flavor, it just tasted like coconut milk, and the vegetable rolls were severely undercooked. Again, it seems like based on other reviews they had a bad day, but when you spend $150 on an order, you expect to get what you pay for.

I randomly walked in here. Was hesitant but ended up having one of the best fried rice of my life! The owner didn't really speak much English and told me I would like the beef fried rice. I didn't know what to expect to be honest. It tasted so flavorful and unique that I still think about that beef fried rice and their special chili sauce to this day. 😍 Next time I have to try more dishes. Definitely looks like small mom n pop restaurant with limited seating. My total was about $20 dollars for just the one dish but honestly the meal was worth it.

I made a good egg roll, my self BUT this Avocado Egg-rolls is the best, and this is the best, first time I eat avocado egg rolls.
I recommended!!! I order crispy noodle and Avocado Egg rolls.

First time here, and I ordered off the extensive vegan menu. My date suggested the Rad Naa which I got with vegan beef. It was out of this world! So savory, succulent, and the vegan beef tasted like the real thing. Highly recommended!

Asked for tofu in a vegetable curry and didn't get it. Restaurant was empty two hours before they close, and and my food was sitting on a counter. An employee was decorating the restaurant, and did not offer to help us or get anyone else to do so. I could hear people in the back, but had to stand at the counter and make noise for a while to get help. No other customers. Paid cash, and the lady helping me seemed scandalized that I wanted my change. But my kids thought the barren goldfish tank was cool, so I guess that's nice. I won't be going back.

Food was delicious. They really take care of their customers. I've gone twice. The vegan orange peel chicken is my favorite. Service was amazing. My son got the spicy fried rice and she asked if it was to spicy and was willing to take it back and remake it. He said it was spicy but he like it. The next time we went we got it to go and they were super busy. But she gave us a free vegan Thai tea.

I enjoy this place because the atmosphere and food has a “home” vibe. It’s like you’re having dinner at your grandparents house. You feel the love in the food when you’re eating it. I’m sure a lot of people had “better” Thai food but the food here is far from mediocre. This place offers a unique cozy personal atmosphere many people would love and the food has all the American Thai food flavor components. I recommend it and I’m definitely going to return to break away from the very commercialized experiences with bland food.

I love this little gem. Huge vegan menu, and everything I’ve tasted is truly delicious. I’ve missed crab rangoon and theirs is incredible. Service is wonderful and warm. Highly recommended.

The lunch special is extremely affordable. Staff is nice and very sociable. The soup was spicy but cleared my sinuses. The soup was better than chicken noodle soup. The portions where just enough. Is a short walk from Chatsworth metrolink.

After contemplating on lunch options in Northridge, I decided to go to Chatsworth.

I walked in and I was surprised to find the place empty and but decided to order the food regardless.

I ordered a vegan lunch special with panang curry and a soup for the option, and a side of thai coffee with almond milk. Note that this restaurant has vegan options, and even the condiments are labeled to identify if it's vegan or not. This way, you don't have to worry about fish sauce nor shrimp paste sneaking up on you, (that line was for vegans/vegetarians only).

I started with a soup with was hot and spicy. It was wonderful. The Egg roll provided was a crispy, and the filling was on the mushy side, but still really good.
Then I dug into the main dish, the panang curry; which was creamy and bold on flavor. Usually, restaurants add a lot of coconut milk to dumb down the flavor, but at My Thai, it was as flavor as one would expect. That was honestly a good surprise. But due to the creaminess from the coconut milk, it did add a slight sweetness which was well companied by the thai chili's soaked in vinegar.

The soy chicken option in the panang curry may texturely resemble chicken. As I was raised a vegetarian, this may have been the incorrect choice for me. Goign tofu or all vegetables next time.

The thai coffee was on the sweeter side. But I do want to go back to try thier other vegan options.

The customer service was great. As I had gone alone, they were hospitable.

I'm more surprised that this place wasn't packed. But they did mention majority of thier lunch clients just call in to take it to go.

Tons of vegan options! And a lot of gluten-free options too. We usually get delivery but have also eaten at the restaurant. Staff is friendly. Small parking lot but there's parking on side streets if needed. Would recommend for groups with veg and non-veg friends. Curries, pad thai, and peanut noodles are some of my favorites but there's always so much to try!

Ordered through post mates. wonton soup was tasteless, packed with spice packets to save it but at best it was edible. Pineapple smoothie was just room temperature pineapple. My avacado smoothie tasted off and though cold, it tasted warm. my chicken bbq had a small packet of sauce. no one liked their meal and I just wouldn't recommend it for anyone's lunch. 2 stars since it was done on time and I dont believe the food was improperly cooked.

Food was really good but we waited more than an hour and a half for takeout! We’ve never waited for restaurant food for this long in our lives, Much less for takeout. Sitting outside for way too long.

The food took an additional 40 minutes to be prepared. I waited for a total of 1 hour and 10 minutes. Apparently there's only 2 people working there. That's 2 people to cook all orders and manage the front. While I waited, 5 other people came in to pick up food and waited for who knows how long. I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 because the food itself was good. If more people are hired, it would be a great place.

I order from them regularly but I think they changed cooks because there cocmikk shrimp soup now has whole tomatoes in it and the shrimp tails are left on. I was very sad I didn’t get what I expect from them 😥

So many options! I ended up with too much food and now I feel like a walrus. Lots of vegan and gluten free options as well as "normal people food", so a great option for everyone! Very tasty food, and kind staff.

As a half deaf person, I find it shameful that someone finds it extremely difficult to read an order on my phone that they refuse to serve me. Hoping that they lack the proper education to be able to read and not the alternative - lacking the human decency to make lives easier for people who have it a bit harder.

If they cannot take the time to read a simple order on the phone, I can't imagine they're putting a lot of thought and effort into making this restaurant a safe environment during a global pandemic.

Absolutely horrific customer service, over an hour wait times with the owner showing no desire to update you on the status of your order. Plenty of other great thai places in the area that will get your food to you in a timely manner. Go anywhere else.

Ordered about five entrees and a few appetizers for 6 people. Trying for the first time. When I brought it in the house, more than one person said wow, something smells great. We attacked the food and it was amazing. We love Thai, but sometimes it can be a tad...greasy? Oily? Not this food. Excellent. Fresh. Tasty. My wife is the only one who doesn’t routinely choose Thai, and even she was raving. I have seen this place but the word vegan turned me off. But although they have a lot of vegan dishes, they offer an equal amount of non-vegan dishes. This place is OUTSTANDING. We will be back!

The vegan chow mein was just okay. The food in general is quite bland. The free hamburger we got for spending over $25 was nothing remotely similar to a vegan hamburger. It was incredibly bad. I couldn't even finish eating it. The owners really need to step up their game. Hope they do. They need to try the food at Vegge House in Studio City or My Vegan Gold in Hollywood.

Simply the best Thai food in the area. Great people, the lady who runs it is super sweet. Amazing vegetarian/vegan options if that's you're style or you want to try something different. Lunch special is still under $10 unlike some places and a great portion size.

I ordered thru uber eats. My order included the my Thai sampler. My sampler had missing food items that uber eats advertised. I only got 3 ragoons and should have received 4pcs, 2 chicken satay and should have received 3pcs, and 2 shrimp roll and should have received 3pcs. I paid 13$ plus tax for this item. Very disappointed. Will not be a future customer.

This is the best thai food in the valley. Hands down. Been there for many years and never been disappointed.

My girlfriend and I were looking for Vegan Thai food on yelp and we stumbled upon My Thai with 4.5 stars.
We got there on Tuesday evening, were greeted by a kind looking woman, placed order “to go” and went to Ralph’s while our food was preparing.
When we finally got home and opened our bag we were pleasantly surprised with and extra box of vegan “Banana Roll”, and a sweet note in the box saying “Thank you”.
It literally made our evening. We felt so special because of this gesture and wanted to give a thank back by leaving 5 stars for excellent food and service.

The food is unbelievable good, great prices and the owner is very friendly and attentive.

I ordered the Drunken Noodles with Soy Chicken to go. Loved it! Very flavorful with the right amount of heat. This is my first time coming here. The journey back will be interesting on what else I select.

This small unique restaurant has variety on its menu. They actually have two full menus one of them being vegan and vegetarian only. I'm not talking about a simple one-page menu. The food was delicious. The place was not crowded as it seemed to do the majority of its business as take out.

Kitchen is a little bit chaotic and understaffed but overall the quality of the food was pretty good and I can't complain about the price. But just like another reviewer wrote... they got pretty busy and I saw a customer to leave because no one was servicing him. Just 1 lady servicing everyone....Definitely understaffed, waited a while for my food but I think it was worth the wait. Very tasty. hope that they are really vegan though... I recommend the peanut Pad Thai or the regular pad thai.

Worst restaurant ever, not clean, bad service, too slow.

They have two men use one regular and 1 vegan so lots of choices. There was a particularly nice variation to the classic Tom Kah which is a coconut milk soup their shrimps were nice and plump and not overcooked and rubbery and the coconut milk was not watered down like some other ones I've had. They're not afraid to up the spice level and throw Thai chilies and whatever you like plus they have chili oil and other things on the table or that you can ask for it to help kick it up after it gets to the table. Those coconuts come straight from the fridge nice and cold and you can use a spoon afterwards to get the coconut meat out it was great.

Terrible service. The restaurant was a mess with many tables left dirty. One lady was working both the restaurant floor and the phone orders. I watched customers come in and leave because they did not receive any service. The lady was very rude and rushed my order. After thirty minutes of waiting and another table of six complaining about the service I left. The six top said they were regulars and that they had never been treated like they were that night. Maybe I'll come back.

Don't let the name fool you they have all types of meats for my fellow meat-lovers. I preordered on DoorDash to have my food delivered to my job during lunch. I ordered the chicken Pad Thai and I will definitely be going here for Pad Thai from now on because it was so good and fresh. The chicken pieces were all nice white meat and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The meal was huge, I barely put a dent in it and got full; you can easily make 2 meals out of it. I love spicy food and ordered it spicy and it was the perfect level for me, I did not need to add any hot sauce. The Thai Iced tea with soy milk had a weird taste to me but I will try their original next time. I also got a order of almond cookies that were tasty.

We eat here about once a week. I bring friends, clients, and my children here. It is consistently good, cheerfully presented, and very inexpensive. If you have a taste for spicy, vegetable soup, this is your place. Lunch specials are terrific, and include the spicy soup or salad. Ask for the brown rice. It's really red Thai rice, and you won't regret it!

If you've got a mixed group of omnivores with vegetarian/vegans, My Thai satisfies all.

Inconsistent!!! Dishes missing ingredients from visit to visit.

This place is pretty neat, absolutely yummy Seafood spicy soup, the fried rice was amazing, orange chicken on point. Service was a bit slow there was but one waitress for a room that quickly filled up. I ordered rje sweet sticky rice with mango to go. It was everything i wanted. Do definitely reccomemd this place.

The food is delicious. Thai iced tea flavor is good but needs to be sweeter. Tom Kah Soup is definitely on the list for my next visit. Service could use a little improvement.

My wife and I had vegan pumpkin curry, papaya salad w tofu, vegan duck noodle soup and got 5 ic blended drinks w boba to go. All was awesome. Will definitely be coming back. We found a great vegan spot.

It's my go to Thai food, she's so nice, and the food is so goooood. It's a little bit of a wait sometimes but so worth it!! And it's prefect for your vegan friends too you have so many options I love their pad Thai and wontom is delicious

my experience was bad the place was empty and they charge $75. Cents if you use your card, also the food is not so great and they give you very small portions not kidding I ordered from the lunch menu
Chicken curry soup included but so small portions for $10.95 I think they ripoff people no wonder the place is empty.. never again

I tried My Thai for the first time a few weeks ago because l often have cravings for a good pad thai. Yes it was great, reasonably priced, obviously a traditional family business, friendly and egar to please. So far parking has been easy when l call up my order to pickup and go since I'm often in that area. Tonight l added the pineapple curry with chicken l wanted to try. When l got home (20miles away) l discovered it was shrimp. I have an accent that they are probably not familiar with so it's understandable but l wanted to kindly inform them even though the shrimp was great.They nicely apologized and offered me a free pad Thai next time. I appreciated this and will definitely be back and happy to recommend them.

Ordered takeout from here, when I walked in there was no one in sight. There was one lady cleaning up and some people in the kitchen. I stood there and it took them a few minutes to notice me. I ordered some spicy noodles and it was alright.

like home cook meal you get would get at home..same location..same owner for fifteen years..you just cant top that ;)
