This is the first time I went to a Burmese restaurant, so we were wondering if the food would suit our palates.
I'm happy to say we loved everything. The place was almost empty when we went, so the service was pretty quick though there was only 1 guy around.
We had the vegetarian version of Tom Yum soup, dumplings, spring rolls, the Burmese flat noodles - the spring rolls were a little oily, but everything was very tasty. We also had the Mango rolls and the Garden avocado roll - though they come wrapped in a mango wrap, they aren't very sweet and they were delicious.

During our recent trip back from Niagara, we stumbled upon a delightful gem of a restaurant that truly made our day - Sun Cuisines. Led by the talented Master Sushi Chef Kevin Lin and his wife Stephanie, this Asian cuisine haven surpassed all our expectations in every way.
The first thing that struck us was the beautiful interior. The decor is a perfect blend of modern elegance and traditional Asian aesthetics, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. The ambiance alone set the stage for what would be an unforgettable dining experience.
The food at Sun Cuisines was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and meticulously presented. Our favorites included the Mango Chicken, which had a perfect balance of sweet and savory, with tender chicken pieces enveloped in a luscious mango sauce. The Thai Basil Fried Rice was another highlight, featuring fragrant rice stir-fried to perfection with fresh basil and an array of vibrant vegetables. And the Pad Kee Mao, with its bold and spicy flavors, was a true delight for the taste buds.
Not only was the food exquisite, but the portions were also generous, providing excellent value for money. We left feeling completely satisfied, both in terms of taste and quantity. The service at Sun Cuisines was impeccable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, making sure that every aspect of our meal was perfect.
Overall, Sun Cuisines is a must-visit for anyone seeking top-notch Asian cuisine. Chef Kevin Lin and Stephanie have created a culinary oasis that delights the senses and leaves a lasting impression. We can't wait to return and explore more of their delicious offerings!
The only good part of this place is good ambience inside. This is definitely not Thai food quality. If you are vegetarian then stay away from here. All you get is boiled zucchini, Potatoes, and sweet potatoes in broth. Food is just tasteless. And expensive too. Only good thing is ambience.
Delicious food and excellent service! The Burmese wide noodles were very very good, I asked for them to be spicy and I was sweating! The flavors were all excellent. Restaurant is very nice inside and the servers were all very friendly. I will definitely be back again to try more dishes.
The black rice was so good no matter with sushi or pineapple fried rice. Especially the mango black rice dessert was amazing. We had a lot of food there. Although a bit more expensive than most restaurants, it deserves. The kitchen is designed as open. They show you how they made the food which was nice.
First the menu didn't have price. The foods came out very salty. I aak for a root beer, he didn't know what it was and brought me a club soda.
The waiter was kind. Had great recommendations for my son. We love going here.
Great experience highly recommend!
The quality has substantially gone down
There is more rice in their rolls than anything else and ingredients are not as fresh
Their beef salad is very very salty

We tried the Burmese Flat Wide Noodles and Veggie Combo Sun Roll Combination and they both were very tasty. Especially the noodles. I was confused between Yakin Udon and Burmese noodles but I am glad I went for Burmese noodles. Definitely recommended.
Sun Cuisines offered the most flavorful meal of my life. I am very thankful. Thereβs really nothing like flavor to bring you back to a place and time. This brought me back to simple living in the island life of SE Malaysia, fresh vegetables and herbs prepared by a good hearted chef. This meal brought me back to that time. Fully vegan meal. Fully nutritious and delectable.
We actually been here twice. First time it was full emtlpty, so whatever we ordered was really good. But second time when we went this place was quite busy and everything we ordered was not tasting good and poor quality. For Instance when we ordered mango juice(1 glass) in our first visit it was thick and real fruit but when we ordered same this time (3 glasses) it was 60% more diluted. It was just like mango water. Same with fried rice where rice was overcooked and pasty.
General Tso's Chicken was inedible. Completely soggy. Fried spring rolls were dripping with oil. Maybe their Thai food is better. Highly disappointed.
The food was excellent, and the service was good.
Always good ππ½

Good food. Gluten free knowledgeable. Offered to make me both Thai tea + Thai coffee with coconut milk. Yum!
1- menu does not have price written / site does not work so you donβt know whatβs the price.
2- soon as we walked in it looked like employee were having a conversation and paid 0 attention to us
3- half of the tables were full of dirty dishes which no one moved
Parson who sat us never showed up for 15 mins so we walked out.
Seems like the place is ran by kids and whatβs up with the guy with with tang top?
Their food is amazing and the service is great. However, I was there on a fairly busy week night, and they only had one poor waiter trying to keep up with a bunch of tables. He was wonderful, but since he was alone running tables and takeout orders, the service was slow. Food wise, the only disappointment was the pumpkin soup, according to the menu, which should have been served in a pumpkin. It was in a bowl, which was sad, but it was delicious. Hopefully, they can get their staffing to fit the number of customers because everything else is wonderful.

Feels like reviews are fake.
Very oily rolls was not able to eat.
Worst green curry ate a bite and left it.
Ended up with sweet potato rolls which were at-least edible but below expectations.
Very disappointing meal, not up to their previous standard. Pad see ew was tasteless, mango chicken had very small pieces of chicken in copious amounts of batter but nice sauce, and the meat in the curry was very chewy.
Have a great reputation but didnβt live up to the standards we expected.
Decent place, but I wouldnβt choose to return. Atmosphere, service, and food all left a bit to be desired. Wasnβt bad. Just wasnβt good either.
Decent: spicy yellowtail roll with black rice, Panang curry, and Thai iced tea. Those were all on par with what I would expect. Nothing to write home about, but acceptable/ good.
Not good: Pad Thai noodles. Just did not have much flavor and the flavor it did have was not great. Missing acid. Needed lime and came with no wedges. To boot, the bean sprouts were overly bitter and tasted like they were turning.
Service was shockingly slow. There were only two couples in the whole place, besides our small group of five. We went on a Tuesday night. None of us ordered drinks, and 4 of the 5 of us ordered the the Pad Thai noodles, so the order was not complicated. The server was very nice though.
We came here for the first time because our usual sushi place is closed on Mondays. We enjoyed our meal very much. We ordered salmon sushi nigiri and salmon sushi rolls with black rice to share. I ordered Burmese fried rice and my husband ordered Beef curry. Everything was fantastic. The salmon was fresh, black rice was excellent. My husband said the beef was extremely tender and delicious. It was nice to try a different place and we will be back for sure.
I ordered a papaya salad and vegetarian fresh spring rolls and it took 35 minutes to get my food. More than that, though, I asked for shrimp in my papaya salad only to get back to the hotel and find zero shrimp in my salad β so disappointed given the long wait for simple, fresh dishes and having been up charged for the shrimp that didnβt make it into my salad.
Very good food!
One of the most reliable go-to places for multi-national Asian cuisine.
Very reasonable prices as well.
Love this place! Variety of Asian cuisine choices and all are excellent! Vegetarian friendly
While driving along Main Street looking for food options, we decided to give this place a try. And, Iβm so glad we did. Everything from the atmosphere, the service, the presentation, and the food was excellent. We tried the chicken dumplings, black rice salad (must-try), seafood clay pot, and the kee mao. Loved it all! They were able to accommodate dietary restrictions very well too. Highly recommend Sun Cuisines!
Food was ok, I would definitely recommend them to improve.
Donβt go here!! Every time Iβve ordered here they either get my order wrong, careless presentation, and/or hair in my food
AMAZING! After 2 years of my boyfriend bugging me to go here, I finally caved. I had a wicked craving for some good ramen, and boy, I got it!! The ramen selection on the menu was primarily meat based, and I am a vegetarian. After expressing my restrictions to the waiter, he easily made the meal vegitarian, and it was amazing!! I highly recommend! Accommodating! Friendly! Clean nice atmosphere. I can't belive I have denied my self such good food!
This place changed my mind about burmese food. Everything in this place is perfect, from fast service , clean place to delicious food.
Definitely our favorite place now
This place never fails to impress. My girlfriend and I try something new every time and are blown away.
My friend and I love it!
Salmon Special roll is my favorite!
The presentation is good but that's it!! Food taste awful π. The beef salad was salty as hell. The meat is preserved. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Pad Ga Pow with beef was amazing! Always a great treat to dine here!
Love this place for quality sushi. Also, one of the fre places around with black rice. Great stuff.
They treat everyone like family. Awesome place!
Amazing group of people with delicious sushi and cuisine.
Just heard about what kindness you showed to the autistic boy who came in and said he was hungry! Thank you for your compassion and sweet gesture
β€οΈ
We heard how much love you have !!
Beautiful π Thank You !!
Kind people who make delicious food!
Nice family place, they treat everyone equal and go above and beyond and are willing to help out!
Decent ambience with good Asian food options. I ordered the dumplings and vegetable Curry and both were good. I asked for spicy Curry, and it was decently spicy. Overall, a good experience for some good tasting thai amd malaysian taste
Dined here for the first time because we thought the menu had some interesting options, including Burmese selections. We were not disappointed. The restaurant wasn't busy (we came in for an early dinner) and we were seated immediately. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was my wife's birthday, and we brought with us a special bottle of wine. The waiter quickly brought 2 wine glasses for us. For appetizers, we ordered a black rice & crispy salmon roll and the Samusa (fried Burmese 'raviolis'); both were tasty, particularly the sushi roll. Our entrees were the Gaeng Dang Thai red curry with tofu, and I had the pumpkin stew from the Burmese menu. My wife's red curry arrived, and it was delicious, but a bit too spicy for her comfort, so the waiter immediately took it back to the kitchen to tone it down. When he returned, it was perfect. The pumpkin stew was ordered with chicken and was also delicious; lots of pumpkin chunks, veggies and chicken topped with two enormous steamed asparagus stalks. We enjoyed our meals so much that my wife ordered Thai basil fried black & white rice to take home. Service was excellent, and we thought the prices were very reasonable for the amount of food we had (honestly, we could have omitted the appetizers and still been satisfied). Even though getting here is a nearly 40 min drive, we'll be back.
We love coming here! It is always so quiet, clean and enjoyable here. Very welcoming bunch! The food is delicious and we are repeat customers. The staff is friendly and attentive. They always stop by to chat at our table and ask about our dining experience. Everyone else we have brought here also loved it!
Always enjoyed going to the Sun restaurant!
Their first place is down on Niagara Street in Buffalo NY which I took my family to years ago. The food is excellent and they were friendly and attentive to their customers.
As their business grew they opened another much larger restaurant in Williamsville NY.
Very nice place to visit !!
Outstanding
Thank you for treating the young man with autism with love and respect. We need more people and businesses like this in the world! β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
Excellent Thai and Burmese food. Large portions low price.
Great restaurant and staff! A+++
One of the best restaurants in Buffalo.
Our first time, and we didn't particularly enjoy our entrees. But we will certainly give it another go.
Overall, EXCELLENT!!!! The food is AMAZING. Admittedly, the service got a little slow after we received our food, but since we were busy talking and eating, we barely noticed. Also, noise levels were low enough to actually maintain a conversation!
Well, I had the most terrible experience with Sun Cuisine. I placed an order through DoorDash. At the time I was supposed to pick up the order, I was told that they are NOT accepting any DoorDash order, even though I had paid. I was told to directly deal with DoorDash, when clearly my issue is with the restaurant. DoorDash did not refund my payment, and I did not receive any food that I paid. Clearly, this restaurant does not care about their customers. I am appalled by how this turned out. If the restaurant is NOT accepting DoorDash order, then they need to turn OFF the darn DoorDash order system on their side. Unbelievable!!!
Bravo fr this wonderful restraunt. Amazing food and amazing people.
I've always had such a good experience at the Sun Restaurant in Willimasville. The food and service are always great, and you will surely enjoy.
I stopped by here while I was in Buffalo. We got the black rice salad and the pumpkin stew with seafood. The food was really great! It was actually my first time eating Burmese food. The salad was definitely my favorite and you should try it. The pumpkin stew was good but I'm not sure I would order it again if I came back. It could've had more seafood in it. Sun Cuisines has a pretty diverse menu with Japanese, Thai, and fusion options if you aren't wanting Burmese food. We came in the afternoon and it was pretty empty. We were seated immediately and service was good.
Great food. Very well done. Menu is great. Atmosphere is fun and cozy
Love the food. Great service. All of us finish the food when we come here. Look forward to visiting the restaurant at least once a month.
We waited like 10 minutes before someone sat us, there were only two tables and two different workers saw us. Once seated, the service was great. The sushi was fine but not authentic. There was way too much rice. The pad thai was definitely not authentic and didn't taste like pad thai at all. There was no green onion or egg and very little peanut.
Thank you for respecting the disabled in the community and for following the golden rule in treating others how you wish to be treated.
I just read the sweetest story on Next Door about this restaurant feeding an autistic teen who came in hungry. Iβm sure they have excellent food, and their hearts are certainly in the right place.
The ramen wasn't very good and I never return food but I tried to return it and instead of just saying sorry or anything they made the chef. Omw out to guilt us and than still made us pay for half even tho we didn't eat it. Would never come again.
You guys rock read about the young autistic boy on tiktok
Extremely poor service last night. I also didn't like that the menu has no prices. Ridiculous
One of my favorite restaurants! Gluten-free items are marked on the menu and there are many options available. The food is delicious, I have eaten many great meals here. However, the crispy shallots on some of the sushi are not gluten free.
Went here with my sister for lunch- literally LOVED everything. Avocado smoothies so yummy, sushi came out so fresh that the rice was still warm absolutely delicious. I tried one of their Burmese dishes I cant remember the name but it was a spicy flat noodle dish it was amazing. My sister tried their omega 3 sushi combo she loved it and the miso soup was very generous on the tofu. Our app was the coconut shrimp very flavorful and tropical tasting. Server was very nice. We cannot wait to go back what a hidden gem!!!!
This is delicious π!
Food couldn't been tastier
Everything is always delicious and great service!!
Sharing the details of our first visit. The restaurant seemed busy, there were unbussed tables all around us, took a while for the waiter to actually take our order, then more of a wait for the food, appetizers were served one by one rather than both of them brought out at the same time. The unbussed dishes were collecting on a counter behind us and it was unappetizing to look at. The food however was delicious and we will probably come back but we will work on timing so that we don't have such an extended wait. Investing in some more waitstaff and bussers would really make this a five-star restaurant. As the food quality was fantastic!
Donβt try to call them, theyβll answer the phone say βhelloβ three times and then hang up on you. We tried three time on different phones as each time they did the same thing.
Great Sushi and service
I am a very picky eater it's hard to please me when it comes to good quality food but this restaurant was very good I highly recommend the seafood in a clay pot
Great lunch!
Good place to eat
Came to this location over the other location assuming that the food quality would be better but little did I know I would be in for a surprise. I started off with the soft shell crab and the fish Rangoon rolls. The soft shell crab came deep fried on a bed of mixed vegetables and chopped mangos. The first problem started with the presentation, the crab looked overly battered and fried but I wasnβt going to let that stop me from trying it still. Sadly the taste matched the presentation and mainly tasted like fried grease with hints of crab. Being that Iβve had soft shell crabs from other restaurants, I can confidently say that apart from it being overly battered the crab itself was a bit crunchy..yuck! Rating 4.5/10
The fish Rangoon rolls was also presented on a bed of mixed vegetables and pieces of mangos. Again presentation was lack luster, the fish Rangoon rolls were no doubt burnt being that the edges were black. They were also a bit darker than your typical egg roll or spring roll(again probably because they were burnt). Now for the first bite it wasnβt what I was expecting but it wasnβt terrible. The filling came with a slap of cream cheese and a slice of salmon, really nothing too special I would give it a 6/10. I would recommend maybe blending the two like found in traditional crab Rangoon for a more palatable and tasty experience.
Time for the main disappointment for the night...dinner. I ordered the sesame chicken served with white rice along with the sun spicy chicken. Starting with the sesame chicken..man just man although they give you big pieces of chicken it suffers and falls short on taste and quality. It was extremely dry as far as the sauce was concerned and the chicken itself was very very fatty. I ended up not even finishing the plate let alone the first bite I had taken because it was so disgusting. Overall rating 1.5/10 (the rice was good).
Now to wrap this up with the sun spicy chicken. For presentation this was the best out the entire night, it came in a glass rice bowl with a lid and was extremely hot and was recommended by the waiter to be careful and be cautious when removing the lid. Following the waiterβs advice I removed the lid with caution and let steam release only to discover i apparently ordered curry chicken over yellow rice. This was my final straw! I was expecting some type of seasoned chicken with delicious spices not curry chicken I can grab from my local Jamaican spot like come on mon. I guess it was my fault for having such expectations and I looked past it and was decently surprised. Now it wasnβt nothing to write home about but it was decent. As Im eating the chicken and rice I notice that rice is a bit chewy and so something in my head says dig to the bottom of bowl. Boom, Iβve found the culprit! The bottom portion of the rice was blackened and stuck to the bowl from being overly cooked. So with that I took the last sip of the cheap sake I ordered and asked for the check. Iβm truly disappointed in my experience being that I was eyeing this place for a few weeks and the reviews werenβt bad. Unfortunately to say I will not be returning to this location nor the establishment itself. Iβm leaving 2 stars because I did enjoy the bed of mixed vegetables and mangos that came with the appetizers.
Love the black rice. Older waiter not very attentive and gets order wrong but quickly fixes. Prefer when normal wait staff are on.
I am a mother of an autistic child trying to teach him independently to go in and pick up his food. I can totally relate to this family. The story of what you did, your kindness and open heart has spread all around and touched my heart.
Iβm in Massachusetts. You truly should be on the news for your act of kindness. 5 stars in my book and thatβs not even trying the food.
I will make it a point to when I get there.
Thank you Sun Cuisine
Chrissi Steele
Very great people. They look after you like your family.
I've eaten here many times. I show up alone, order enough food for two people and, always tip generously, because the food is good and, the service matches. However, I feel the need to share an experience that has gone unresolved now, for several weeks. I ordered food and when I went to pay, I was told my card was declined. Which was odd because I received a notification from my bank saying I had made a purchase of $67.82 at the restaurant. So I tell the guy who ran my card and show him my account/notification. He insisted his system said the transaction did not go through and wanted to run my card again. He did and, I received another notification that $67.82 was spent. I signed the receipt and tipped $20.00 despite the fact I knew I was just double charged. At that point I was under the impression they were a reputable business. I showed him my notifications again, and discussed being refunded for one of the transactions. He said he would look into it and get back to me. I waited and went back a few days later, to be told there was no resolution. I waited another week or so and returned to see what he found and if he was prepared to refund one of the transactions. Still no resolution. It's been several weeks now without so much as a call, so I'm writting it off as a loss. I feel as though there wasnt any effort put in to making it right. I was a good customer and I like the place but, I won't be back. I can't trust them with my card apparently. So I'll pay the $135.64 + $20.00 tip for $67.82 in food. Seems fair, right?
Not good and expensive
This place was delicious. We had the wide noodles, a black rice salad, some chicken curry, steamed dumplings, and a black rice desert. The flavors were spot on and unique. The waiter was decent but not mind blowing but the food more than made up for it. I was surprised how empty this place was. The restaurant was clean and tastefully decorated.
Terribly expensive for disappointing fare. Sushi fish was stringy, the Ramen noodles were overcooked and the broth had little flavor.
im not from usa and i never eaten there BUT
i heard how well your Etablissement treated that
kid with autism...
thank you so much for being human!!!
(food on pics looks delicious as hell)
Heard how this restaurant handled an Autistic kid unfortunately I donβt live in the area but if I ever do come around there and remember I will stop by. Please tip and promote the waiter amazing work
Very kind and generous
Kind staff and great food
Outstanding service, they look after hungry young people in a wonderful way. Give them a try!
Very cute little place, definitely love the decor inside. Service was a bit slow, even though we arrived at a quiet time of the day.
My friend eating with me absolutely LOVED her entree. She got the crispy salmon skin salad and although we were confused about it at first (chunks of cream cheese in it??), she ended up raving about how good it was.
Mine on the other hand was okay. I got the Pad See U, which is a flat rice noodle dish with veggies and a sweet soy sauce. I really enjoyed the sauce and vegetables, but the noodles left something to be desired. To be fair, I've never had rice noodles before, so it could be just how they are normally, but I thought these were a bit too overdone. And I wish that the dish came with more vegetables, it was mostly just noodles.
Overall I enjoyed lunch, I would maybe come back someday to try something new.
Good food good people
Kindness matters. β€οΈπ
Heard about them being the best staff in any restaurant!
The best people work here and the food is amazing β€οΈ
I've not been here but I think it's important to say how amazing these people seem to be. I've only heard good things about them. The food is apparently very good and the people in charge are friendly and caring. If I'm ever in the area I'll pay a visit and change my review if need be
Dining in, the service is impeccable; the waiter comes at the right moments to check in on you to ensure that your meal is satisfactory while also being very knowledgeable about the menu and being able to thoroughly describe the various types of menu items. He delivers your food in an amicable manner, and the presentation of the dishes are very pleasing. You can tell that the chefs take great pride in the quality of the dishes that they prepare. The dining area is very well designed and decorated; it makes you feel like you are dining in a dress code establishment, without all the rules to be so.
Good food, better people
Sun restaurant is caring, amazing and goes above and beyond. β€οΈπ¦¬
Broad range of Asian food types, including Burmese (a first for me). Beef, chicken, fish and vegetarian options. Everything was flavorful, served hot (temperature) with good service. Casual atmosphere.
Thanks for feeding Kathyβs son!
Amazing
Great place to eat with great people.
The kindest staff with the most integrity ever⦠they deserve the best of the best
Absolutely fantastic service. The young lady at the front got soup for an Autistic child because she thought he was hungry and alone. 5 Stars and I will definitely be there again soon!!!
Honestly have never been here,( I am from Cleveland
) but read an amazing story about how amazing this restaurant was to am young man with autism and wanted to support them
Just read a fb story about their generosity to a young boy with autism. Sadly since I live nowhere near and canβt dine there to thank them, I just here to say thank you for being good humans!π₯°
Lovely staff! Wow~
They are fabulous and deserve this review due to their kindness β€οΈ
