Modern Thai Food offered in a full service casual midtown Phoenix location. Chef Olashawn Hasadinratana uses all of her families rich culinary history and knowledge to bring delightful and delicious creations to customers willing to indulge in the culinary greatness that is The Wild Thaiger Restaurant.
We saw Wild Thaiger on various TV shows and drove 40 minutes to try it for lunch. We're going to Thailand in March and so it seemed like a great warmup. The service was so excellent - friendly, efficient and was a team effort. No one walked by our table without removing dirty dishes or asking if we needed anything. We started with the Dragon Eggz and were thrilled to find that we could have crispy, steamed or combo. We chose combo and...yum!
We had two noodle dishes, Mi Dang and Fat One. Both were piping hot and delicious. The Mi Dang was absolutely chock full of pork. The Fat One had just enough heat.
We never get dessert but had heard so much about the desserts here that we took a piece of banana cake home. OMG! I forgot to take pics of our food but here's the cake.
Now we have to go back and try dinner.
A good friend recommended this little spot since I was staying down the road and as I walked I noticed it has been part of Drive IN Dives which made it a bit cooler, was welcomed right away and seated, service was good, menu had little selection of pictures so asked server for her recommendations since I am not very familiar with with Thai menus , her recommendation were right on , great flavor and not to spicy, love the sweet and mild spice flavor. A bit dark inside but again not a negative. They do have outdoor seating but it was a bit chilly for that:
Excellent restaurant even for those new to Thai food everything is delicious. The Thaiger Ribs were fall off the bone and incredible we’d go back just for that! Dragon eggs also highly recommended.
All the food was 10/10 delicious and great portions, we wanted more as soon as we were done!
Our senior softball team is in town to play in a tournament. Another couple, my wife, and I chose this restaurant for our team "free" dinner night. We perfectly timed our arrival time, as we had a brief wait to be seated then quite a few other small groups showed up after us. Service was great, although it seemed that there were only two servers that were stretched very thin across all the tables. We enjoyed appetizers followed by our meals. EXQUISITE! We enjoyed the wine, two bottles, that I ended up buying 1 1/2 cases of it when we got home. We look forward to dining here again some day.
So me and my friend went here 7/28 around 3:30 and there was plenty of parking available, the food was delicious, and the service was also quite good. Both the portions, and the presentations were good. The flavor, and the freshness was there, and the drinks!! Let me tell you, their cocktail selection was surprising and superb. The drinks were rich in flavor, presentation and strong(-in a good way), and affordable. We were just overall impressed with this place. Me and my friend decided we may be back. So, if you're looking for a place to have lunch before going back to work, or dinner or even looking for a place to celebrate an event this might be the place you want to try.
Thai Restaurant must try in Phoenix !
My favorite are crispy dragon egg and chicken stay 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷
I came here once with my Thai friend and everything was really good, but then when I came again it seemed like a different restaurant. I asked for medium spice and received no spice at all, zero, null, nada and it way too sweet 😔 The taste was soo different, I was disappointed 😢
Went there for my husband's birthday on 1/18. Was excited since I am a diner's drive ins and dives fan. Could not been more disappointed. Would rate it in negative numbers if I could. Service was the worst. Was seated quickly but took 20 minutes to get drinks and that was after we had to call a waitress over. They were not busy. It took another 20 to 25 minutes for someone to take our order. We Ordered appetizers. Finished those and another 20 to 25 minutes for someone to take our dinner order. The food was adequate, the taste was unspectacular, small restaurant and atmosphere was loud, even only half full. We were way past wanting to walk out. I am very forgiving with food service having that background. But not this time. Service alone was unforgivable. We will not be going back again. And am advising people to find another Thai choice. This is not the place.
Great atmosphere great service but do you know how hard it is to detail a shrimp in soup so next time don't leave the tail on.
Didn't like their chicken pad Thai. The chicken cuts were huge. All the ingredients were on the side raw, not cooked. I've been to Bangkok Thailand they don't make it this way. I think this is the cooks or owners own way of making this dish so different than what is expected. Sorry Wild Thaiger. This picture is not what I got. Not even close. Mine was togo
Was here for a work lunch with about a dozen people and had the chicken pad thai medium heat. The entree was excellent and our server had great timing.

Great Thai food with an important choice; reservation is a must: place can get crowded!
Authentic phad thai taste, I am amazed. Portion is generous and food presentation is great. I found my place to enjoy Thai food when I visit Phoenix, AZ.
Scheduled a reservation and was seated an hour after reservation time. No one greeted us when we walked in. When we were finally seated, decided to leave after 15 more minutes because no one came to our table to greet us or bring us waters. Two parties that arrived after us received water and their server was already taking their orders. The worst service I’ve ever had. Had been here before but not again!!
Sorry to say we didn’t have a great visit. Service was glacial-over two hours , start to finish. True they were very busy at 6 when we arrived, but more than half empty by 7:30 when our food came out. The chicken satay was overcooked and dry although the sauce was delicious. My companion’s panaang beef was excellent, but my chicken pad thai was gray (literally) and unappetizing. The chicken was dry and tough and the flavor was more like fish sauce than what I think of as pad thai. I confess I wondered if it was safe to eat (it was), but after a few bites I gave up. The place has good reviews so maybe we just caught it on a bad night but waiting 90 minutes for a plate of gray noodles won’t lure us back.
服務很糟糕,餐點等了一個鐘頭還沒上,結帳還刷到隔壁的帳單,總之一團亂。
We visited as a party of 7 on a Wednesday night and were seated right away. Their menu has a variety of Thai classics, all at fair pricing. Everyone said their dishes were excellent, food was served quickly (especially for a larger party) and our server was kind and efficient.
The restaurant was clean and well laid-out.
Parking is a little confusing - don't park south of the building by Durant's. Instead, enter on the north of the building, there is plenty of parking behind the restaurant.
I no longer live in PHX but the rest of my family does, and they have added Wild Thaiger to their restaurant rotation!
Started coming here in 2006/7 into the 2018 and it was one of the best Thai restaurants back then. I moved and came back here today bc I was in the area and it still tastes amazing. I still have not found a Thai restaurant that tastes this great in AZ. 10/10 recommended if your in the area!!

Best Thai food in Phoenix!
Very friendly staff, owner walks around and checks if guests are enjoying the experience too!
They are willing to customize dishes according to your preferences. Food had very good flavor. Service was exceptional. Vegetarian dishes. However no vegan dishes.
Awesome food and drinks
Wonderful food, enjoyed visit to celebrate friends birthday.
Great food!
Best Thai Food in Phoenix!
This restaurant was reviewed by Guy Fieri, I was not as impressed. The wait staff didn't seem to be very knowledgeable about the food. The food was under seasoned. PRO TIP- ask a seasoned waiter for food recommendations.
I've have been a fan of The Wild Thaiger since I moved to the valley from FL in 2000.
Always great!
20 years as a customer and many more.
My favorite.
Tasty. Like the appetizer of dumplings more than I liked the Pad Thai, but both were good
Great and authentic.
This place is lovely. Food is spectacular and priced affordable.
This place was BUSSIN! The volcano is a got to try! Spice might look scary but not at all, SUPER DUPER flavorful. If you’re in downtown phoenix CHECK IT OUT!’n
Best Thai food in central Phoenix with a comfortable, quaint atmosphere!
Terrible Thai Food.
Pad Thai was a gluey matted dry mess. The chicken in all our dishes was overcooked and dried out.
The cook was a young kid whose cooking experience was probably a short order cook for Denny’s or some other fast food establishment.
If you are looking for authentic Thai food - this isn’t it. You can get better food from Panda Express.
Enjoyed the food and service was excellent.
Very good food and service, we eat here regularly. Portions are a good size and it comes out hot and fast. Wait staff watch your table so you want for nothing.
The best Thai place I’ve been to in the entire United States. This place is the real deal. Amazing service, and amazing food.
Ola, Dave and staff are fantastic. Consistently deliscious food and amazing people. One of my top 5 favorite restaurants in the valley!!
Absolutely amazing. Must try the ribs!
There were 8 of us and we all ordered something different so we could sample. We had ? Egg but it wasn't an egg, ribs, chicken (2 ways), Pork on a stick, salmon, corn fritters and a stew bowl. It was all exceptional. And the best part is, the owner was there and she has appeared on DDD with Guy!! Sorry I was having too much fun to think of pictures.
Excellent restaurant even for those new to Thai food everything is delicious. The Thaiger Ribs were fall off the bone and incredible we’d go back just for that! Dragon eggs also highly recommended.
All the food was 10/10 delicious and great portions, we wanted more as soon as we were done!
Not much to say. Was a pretty mid experience to be honest. Would come back but wouldn't recommend to others as a "great" Thai place.
My wife and I love this place! Best Thai food in the valley in our opinion.
Wild Thaiger has been a favorite for decades! Decades? I couldn't find a "serving Phoenix since xyz" statement, but they've been there for a long time and they're still awesome! My mom, who is now 85, used to be one of their best customers. She LOVES their crispy spring rolls, so I did a Thaiger run for her last night. The woman who owns the place is so friendly and kind. We love her! All of the employees are nice, as well. The food is terrific. Not necessarily typical for Thai cuisine, but the place itself isn't typical, either. It's kind of bar-ish--quite dark, even in the daytime. Personally, that's not my favorite type of ambiance, but the people, the service and the food more than make up for it. We will always come back to Wild Thaiger!
Best Thai food in AZ.
This has been our favorite restaurant in Phoenix since it opened! Everything Chef Ola makes is seemingly touched by magic. Our go-to’s are the Satay Chicken starter, the Pad Thai (of course!), and the Galee Gai curry. And we have to finish every meal with mango sticky rice. This last time we went, our servers were attentive and helpful and the food came out excellent as always. I’ve never been disappointed with any experience or food I’ve had at Wild Thaiger.
The chef here makes wonderful dishes. Everything has a fresh taste and beautiful fresh edible garnishes.
Prices are less than the quality and quantity of entrees.
Highly recommend!!
There’s something to be said for beautifully presented entrees. Flavors are on pointe.
Amazing food and fabulous staff!
Honestly a little disappointed after all the hype. It wasn't bad but we've got better in the west valley. This made me appreciate Thai Orchid as the best in town. I will go back for dinner.
This restaurant is always our go-to for excellent Thai food. The Dragon Eggs are great, as are the Spring Rolls. All the food is fresh and delicious.
Ordered the Chicken Pad Thai at medium spice. It was very good. Also ordered to go the papaya salad which was suppose to be hot spice but got home and realized there was no spice. Was very sad as the whole purpose was to eat Thai food for the spice. This was my first visit. Not sure about a return visit. The atmosphere was nice in the outdoor patio.
Delicious authentic Thai flavor. Sometimes a bit difficult to find a Thai restaurant that uses authentic ingredients. This place is terrific! Also very vegan friendly. Also has a large outside patio that tends to be a bit noisy.
Delicious! Panang is outstanding here! Best in the valley!
We come here to celebrate our anniversary, its excellent food and desert
Wow, LOVE THE FOOD and really loved that the service has stepped up. 🥰
The food was fabulous!!! Everything was delicious and good portions! 👍. Had a fantastic experience !! 💖😋😋
Excellent flavors! Ordered delivery, everything packaged neatly.
If you have not tried Wiled Thaiger, you are missing some of the best Thai food in the valley. We ordered Tom Thai Ghai soup to start mushrooms, lemon grass onions, and pieces of chicken make this coconut broth delicious. The next dish was Beef Panang, beef with peppers in a curry sauce, Guy Fieri loved this place as it was featured on Diners Drivins and Dives and his autographed poster hangs in the front window.
We ate here last night for the first time. It was incredible! Definitely worth the drive and we will be back!
Sehr gute Thai-Küche mit Street Food wie in Thailand zu erschwinglichen Preisen und sehr höflichen und zuvorkommenden Personal.
First time eating Thai food. Waitress made a great recommendation
Amazing selection of food. Good prices and service is Great! Try the soups and cocktails.
I went a few weeks ago and forgot to review. The environment is not necessarily the best but I was still provided with an amazing experience. I usually order the pad Thai. The service is amazing but could be faster.
Friendly staff, but VERY underwhelming food. I'm used to a really incredible Thai place back home, so I was expecting something of the same caliber...not at all. If, similarly, you're a Thai food aficionado, I don't recommend trying The Wild Thaiger; find an authentic place in Phoenix.
My first red flag was that the menu was unlike any other Thai food menu I've ever seen, but I gave it benefit of the doubt on the chance they had a chef putting their own spin on classic Thai dishes.
I ordered the Fat One (noodle dish) for my entree, and it wasn't remotely spicy. Very, very little sauce (as in there wasn't enough to even SLIGHTLY pool at the bottom), zero flavor, and the vegetables weren't fully cooked, so they were more of obstacles in the dish rather than part of it.
Two stars because the satay chicken was passable. The dipping sauce for it was pretty good. But it's also what I ended up dousing my noodles in so they would have some flavor.
Really disappointing experience. Judging by the wealth of positive reviews this place otherwise has, not sure if I had an uncommon experience or if I just have higher-than-average standards for Thai food...
I used to eat here 15+ or so years ago when I lived in the valley long ago. Well, I've moved back and this is the first time I've been to this place in a long time. Quality and service is still very good. I didn't feel like dining in, so I took out. I ordered the half rack of ribs. It was really good. The meat was perfectly cooked and very tender. They put all of the sauces on the side, which I love for takeout. I already ate part of it, so here's the remaining that's pictured. Great portions, bang for your buck. Glad this place has not gone downhill.
The food is addicting and consistently amazing. I could drink the sauces.
I'm so thankful this place exists and I get to enjoy it. Yes, it's that good. It's also very affordable.
Great food and service. Can't wait to come back and try something else.
We had lunch here on a whim, it was a lovely experience! The food was fantastic. We will definitely be going back!
Great food, good drinks, priced reasonably
Great food!!
I left my wallet on the table on top of my to go box… I forgot them both without realizing.. my waitress brought me my food before I got to the door but, no wallet. I realized this halfway home and went back after calling them.. they denied it all and completely avoided me. This place has shady shady people who work there and that includes the white guy. He did not help at all and I’m extremely disappointed in this restaurant. I will never never return. It’s incredible how shady she was bringing me my food like she was doing me a favor while pocketing my wallet and everything in it! We even gave you a good tip! Good luck to you. I do not recommend eating here!
Awesome little restaurant. Great atmosphere, food and service.
The food is really great, especially anything with the peanut sauce. The waiters are average and it's pretty loud in there.
Update: we went back, the service was great this time. Everything else holds true.
Super restaurant! Un vrai délice
Je recommande 👍🏼😀
For my preferences. This place delivers for me. Great quality dishes with lots of veggies. The staff provides me my space to enjoy while always having there eyes on me if I do habe any additional needs. I just wished I lived closer...work lunches will have to do.
I can't say enough good things about The Wild Thaiger. The food is delicious, the service is excellent and the prices are reasonable. It's a popular place so expect to wait a bit for a table. This is one of my family's favorite places and where they want to go everytime they come to visit. The MI Dang, Chicken Pad Thai, Chicken Satay and Coconut Sticky Rice are fantastic. In cooler weather, it's nice to sit in the outdoor patio. We've never had a bad experience here. Would definitely recommend. Oh, and try the Dragon Eggs!
Great food, hard to get a table here and service is slow sometimes.
Delicious! A delightful find after a long day. The food was so good.
We loved it. We started with 'dragon eggs' which were really cute and did resemble game of thrones dragon eggs. Fun. They were a meat ball in like won-ton covering.
I had galee gai and it should have been quite a bit hotter for my taste. Menu said it was medium I'd say mild. But it was a nice yellow curry.
My partner had peanut passion. Chicken with peanut sauce. Basically what they serve with satay chicken, but a lot of it. Really good as well.
Oh, the atmosphere, typical Asian restaurant, with some great tiger paintings. All in all a fine meal.
Great place for lunch. Great food.
Amazing Thai food and great service! We had a party of 10 and had about a 25 minute wait since the restaurant is small and I didn’t call ahead. However, one of the waiters asked if we wanted water and cocktails while we waited. When we were seated, our waitress was very attentive and the food came quickly. I had the seafood Panang and the curry was delicious and flavorful. I will definitely be coming back here on my next trip to Phoenix!
Amazing. We slept on this gem for over a year and wow we should have come sooner! This is definitely where we will get Thai food from now on. We started with the Spring Rolls with chicken. They were packed with veggies and protein and the peanut sauce was a perfect blend of sweet and tangy. We then shared the Pad Thai and the 24K Curry. Both were superb in flavor, ingredient quality and presentation. I also tried the two Thai Lagers on the menu and both were refreshing with their own unique flavor. We will be back again very soon. 🙏🏾🤤
Not horrible not great. An overall Medicare experience.
The food here as absolutely delicious and the service was great!
Great food , Service and atmosphere!
The food was delicious and the best part was that they had gluten free options. Had the gluten free Pad Thai and it didn’t disappoint.
My favorite Thai place
Food is delicious, owners are very nice
We never got a chance to eat here cause the hostess didn't seat us for 5-6 mins. Then once seated, the waitress never came to take our order after 6-7. So my wife and I just left. We did understand that it was busy for Sat evening, so we'll try again another day.
The food is awesome. Highly recommend! Crab puffs put other crab puffs to shame. Same with the spring rolls. Try the Fat One noodles, so good, but spicy! Dog friendly patio but could use a few upgrades to the patio furniture and decor.
Went with a group of 9 at 5 pm on a Saturday. We were able to call the day before and make reservations.
I ordered a Thai tea and peanut passion. Everything was wonderful!
Warmly welcomed (i was by myself) within a minute - got seated right away. Kinda warm color lighting inside (not bright white light). Very comfortable with the A/C level - not too cold, and definitely not warm at all. Gentle music was playing in the background. The kitchen was viewable from the dining room which was pretty awesome to me.
Got a Thai Iced tea within 2 minutes of ordering (the waitress was serving other customers their food before my tea, which i whole heartedly appreciate!). Took my order right away. 6 minutes later, they brought me my food! Warm and delicious... Mmmmmm - yummy! 10 minutes later, before i was done with my last two bites, they brought out the desert I ordered initially (i asked it to be brought out after my yellow curry was done eaten - I'm from Ohio, bear with my English). And just before i completed my desert, they brought my check out.
They were so attentive - i never was in want for anything. I even heard a conversation with a customer about remembering their kid being in a car seat, and now they're driving on their own.
It's got wonderful parking off street and is easy to get to.
Loved this place
More fun than is possible. I prefer the back of the house where we prepare for the magic upfront
good food, small portions, expensive food, long waiting time to receive the food. I do not recommend this place.
This is a hidden gem in the middle of Phoenix business area. Highly recommend the beef pad thai - thai hot, an excellent choice! 😋
Delicious, reasonably priced food and drinks...nice waitress!
The food is super sweet even if asked for spicy. The rice is soggy. The portions are SMALL and they OVERPRICE everything. A plate would consists of 4 pieces of meat and a bunch of vegetables to make up for the emptiness.
Horrible. Small amount of food is being served when it cost so much. They don't understand what "family-style" is. Boba tastes nasty and smells soiled. They decides to take tip without my consent. Bad customer service. Will never go to this place again.
Amazing food makes up for slow service anytime. Worth the wait
Ive been here only once for dinner which was good. I love Thai food. Even though this place is small and you have to plan a little to get in within your time frame, it is worth it
I typically go here for lunch as it is near friends that work downtown. Easy to meet. Good sized outdoor patio which I prefer. Food is fresh tasting and the curry sauces are wonderful - not too hot if you ask for it mild. "Thai hot" is smokin' Many other selections other than curry. Lunches come with an egg roll or cup of soup and a good serving of rice. I prefer the brown rice which is a small additional price - no biggie
They have beer and wine which is normally not for me for lunch, but the Thai ice tea is very good and does help if you ordered your food too hot. (milk products are best to calm the heat)
Great menu and service! Cocktails are a plus ❤️
Great if you like Thai food. Perfect discounted lunch menu.
Super friendly service, very good Thai cuisine. Will he back!
This place has great food that has complex flavors and rich taste. I recommend this location for those who are beginners with Thai food and for those who are experienced and are looking for quality Thai food.
Great Thai place on Central. Unique classic feel with locals walking in you can tell its a neighborhood favorite. You want spicy, they will make it spicy. Great date place as well as business gathering. They have an outdoor patio facing Central for that evening metro feel.
The chocolate cake was outrageous!
This restaurant is great! The ambience is cool, the food tasted amazing, and everyone had a good vibe that helped and served us.
Great flavors
We made a special trip here after seeing it featured in Guy Fieri’s show on Food Network. Our papaya salad was tasteless, and we’ve had better pad Thai elsewhere. The service was great though.
Always a good experience. I go here for lunch a few times a month and get takeout to bring home to my wife for dinner. You can’t go wrong.
So so good! The service was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious! Great place!
Have been here several times for lunch. Good food and service, and good variety as well.
Excellent food!
Service was somewhat slow, confused and a little hard to communicate with the server.
