Humble Thai eatery in a cabin-style house whipping up classic dishes from noodles to spicy curries.
Was very excited about trying out this new place since my go to in Fairbanks was closed!! Many recommendations about their homemade noodles so finally decided to give it a try. I got beef drunken noodles and Tom yum soup. Flavors were amazing but I don’t know if we came on an off day but my noodles were very thick and super chewy I was not impressed …. Also asked for hot spice level was barely spicy 🌶️
I had their beef pho and it was delicious! Their portions are super generous. The bowl was packed with meat and noodles and the broth was savory. Paired with chili flakes and hot sauce, it was great. I’ll have to try some of their other dishes next time. The service was to-the-point, I think because the woman running the front was doing a lot of other tasks, but overall I had a great first experience.

Our princess tour guide mentioned that Fairbanks is known for Thai Food with 20+ restaurants in the city! According to Northwest Travel and Life - Why so many Thai restaurants in Fairbanks? There was a migration of Thai people into the Alaska interior for gold mining; when that didn’t pan out, many stayed needing a livelihood. Restaurants followed.
Initially, the fam and I were supposed to head over to Lemongrass Thai Restaurant but after talking to our local uber driver she talked us into this spot. This was the best decision ever, this hidden gem located in downtown behind 1st street is worth the stop. The customer service very friendly, the floors were a bit sticky but please don’t judge them by that because the Thai Food here is insanely delicious!
Ordered
Pad Kapao Chicken – Garlic sauce, bamboo shoots, bell peppers, basil leaves
Pad Pak – Choice of meat with sauteed veggies in garlic sauce
Drunken Noodle – Choice of meat stir fried noodles, eggs, veggies and fresh basil
Pad zee ew – Choice of meat eggs, stir fried with homemade noodles and broccoli
Fresh Spring Rolls – Veggies, soft noodles, eggs, wrapped in rice paper
Thai Spring roll – Chicken bean thread, veggies, wrapped in pastry, deep fried – served with chili sauce
There were four of us, more than enough! We even took some home. I have never been to a place that make their noodles like this. Living in California, I am use to the mass production of them the perfect shape, size and taste. Here everything is made from scratch daily! Not all noodles were the perfect shape or size but the texture and flavor were awesome! I was so happy to see sooo many patrons walk in after us!
The only downside which wasn’t the restaurant’s fault was lyft and uber are basically non-existent – we tried for 30-45 mins to get a ride back to The Princess River lodge. If you are in this dilemma, walk across the street and head to the hotel, ask for taxi services and they will give you maybe 4-5 numbers. Should’ve don’t this after 10 mins of waiting!! Our driver was quick and cheaper than the Uber.
Pay them a visit, one of the best Thai food joints I’ve ever tried!!!
Got the green curry with chicken ($18.95) and it was fantastic. Flavorful, could have used a smidge more basil, but still so good that couldn't stop eating.
Service was great as well. I've tried all the dine in and drive-through Thai places in town (that are open) and this one is the best.
It's so good that I came back to try the house noodles with pork ($15.95) in the short time I have left. The noodles are made in-house every morning and it was Very good. They were thick, picked up the flavor of the sauce, and oh-so tender. I managed to save some to take home instead of finishing it all, even though I really wanted to. I got some hot tea ($1). I thought it was Thai hot tea, it was not. It was still good, but I was missing the fragrant warming that a good cup of Thai tea brings.
The Pho broth was so flavorful and generous with the beef. The Curry was over flowing with the fillings! Would absolutely recommend this restaurant to everyone. Great flavor and generous portions!
Can't beat their beef Drunken Noodle awesome meal! Iced Thai tea makes it a perfect meal every time! Their Pho Noodle is beyond good also!
food was ok, rude owner. Lots of other better Thai places in the area.
Is this place ever open? Came on a Saturday night and it was closed. Came on a Sunday night and it was open. Came on a Monday afternoon and it was closed. Sign in the front says “Closed on Wednesdays”. Are people on vacation and thus having trouble opening?
There was just one lady doing everything at once and she wasn’t polite at all. I get the feeling she is the owner but that someone normally handles the customers. The food was great tho. Portions are big, so stick to one plate.
I love this place. Food is good. Curry is super good.
Pad Thai and drunken noodles were incredible. Handmade noodles!
Pho is so good and will cure any ailment! Highly recommend it.
We have been to many pho places and this was one of our most favorites. Lanoi was the sweetest lady and treated us very well. The pho was delicious and came out quick. We would highly recommend this to anyone!
I had their beef pho and it was delicious! Their portions are super generous. The bowl was packed with meat and noodles and the broth was savory. Paired with chili flakes and hot sauce, it was great. I’ll have to try some of their other dishes next time. We were a party of 6. As soon as we entered, she rudely stated that she cannot seat a party as large as us. She told us to join tables if we want to and then left us. She came back and slapped the menu in our hands and then we left.
Will not recommend this place to others.
The owner was very rude from the moment we entered the place. We decided to not eat here due to their despicable behavior.
Amazing food! Amazing service! I couldn't recommend this restaurant more. Get the house noodles you will not be disappointed!
Great place for Tai. Hands down.
Great food and fun service.
Just traveling through and found this great place. Super fresh and cooked to order. Tried 3 dishes to split with fam and all excellent!
Better Thai food than anywhere I've been in the lower 48!
Amazing yellow curry & BBQ chicken. Everything was hand prepared and delicious.
Been there multiple times, best Thai in town with fast and great service. A great place to go for a tasty quick bite to eat 😋
Food was great, but it was almost 10 minutes waiting to be seated with only 1 table seated in the restaurant.
There are better Thai options in Fairbanks
The woman who works there and who answers the phone to take orders, is extremely rude!! She abruptly hanged up on me when I didn’t place an order after she quoted me two different prices for the same meal!!! I wont be supporting this business!!!
AMAZING FOOD and INCREDIBLE SERVICE!! We came in a bit earlier than they were open not knowing and the sweet owner opened up and cooked us lunch! The food was so good and she did an amazing job!!
We tried this Thai place out based on a recommendation. We heard that the noodles were made in-house and they were good. But the amount of sauce in all three plates that we got was way too much. Overly salty and sweet at times. I love strong flavors but this was hard to finish. The oil was a bit excess on all three plates. We got the Pad Zee Eew, Hawaiian Pad Thai, vegetarian drunken noodles
The service was the worst thing about the whole place. Maybe the evening would be better? I would not recommend it for that specifically. She was too aggressive and short with us. Did not come back to check on us. Pass on this place
The food was better than a lot of other Thai places I've been to but still priced fairly. The lady there was very nice. We got our food quickly.the atmosphere was good my only complaint is that there was no booths Wich I prefer especially for a date also the lighting could've been a little dimmer.
The food was mediocre at least. I asked if they can make my meal gluten free and they assured me they could. I got sick after I ate it, so it wasn’t gluten free. When I wasn’t even done with the drink the old Thai lady and asked me if I paid and when I said yes, she told me I should leave because others are waiting. So unbelievable rude, I couldn’t believe that attitude. Even if staff were friendly and they wouldn’t have glutened me, I still didn’t understand the hype because the food was not how real Thai food anyway
The house made noodles were good but I felt like it was a bit bland. The pad Thai was good.
10 stars 🌟
We love noodle house. I get the spicy phai Thai but thier drunken noodles are pretty good as well. The owner is so sweet and wonderful and always gets us our extra sauce. Cute location down town. We really enjoy this place
We tried the pork drunken noodles. They were good, but I prefer a different place in town because the sauce is a little more tangy. The noodles were perfect though. Good stuff
The pho was so good!
I took To Go meals back to my hotel to eat. Flavor was spot on. The coconut curry was sharp. The pad thai was mellow. Service was prompt even when restaurant was busy. I liked it enough to visit twice in a week.
Thank u

This was soul food in the winters of Fairbanks. Order their Khao soi. It’s the best I have ever had. Amazing vegan options.
Bohemian style but clean. genuine Thai speaking family. Lots of craftwork deco.
This was our first time ordering from Noodle House and we absolutely will be returning! The customer service was wonderful and food was some of the best Thai we have had in town. Everything was still hot & fresh by the time we got it home in NP from Fairbanks and SO flavorful! Thank you for the quality service & food!
Cheap and great Thai food. The homemade noodles were incredible on the pad see ew
Great food and customer service!
Excellent spring rolls authentic food with authentic staff food served hot and fast variety of menu superb
This was the worse Thai food I've eaten. Had such a bad taste, would not recommend to any one. I had to leave a star to leave the review, but I wouldn't leave any stars.
The food is terrible!
Horrible, not sure if it’s was because it was take out but I ordered drunken noodles and it was nothing like what is served else where I noodles where so mushy that it was essentially rice pudding the tofu might as well have been cut up straight for the prepackaged container and the vegetables seemed steamed with absolutely no seasoning… I was very disappointed having paid so much for a plate of flavorless mush
I'm always surprised to see that they aren't packed full! The food is excellent. The staff is friendly. The space is clean. The only downside is the street parking. 10/10 will return.

We stopped here after a show and it was the right thing to do. We got the drunken noodles and Phair thai. The drunken noodles were amazing. Thick juicy noodles and so much flavor. Very mom and pops. Perfect place
Great food and service
Simplistic setting, very cozy. The server was very friendly and attentive
Awesome food. Noodles were homemade and tasty
This food was absolutely delicious! It’s a kind of older place but clean. There was only 1 lady serving but the food came out quick.
Had delicious Khao Soi! Loved the Thai rolls.
There seems to be a lot of Thai food options in fairbanks and I don't think this is one of the better ones. The drunken noodles were the thickest gummiest noodles I've ever seen, not great. A curry might be a defer bet 🤷🏻♀️
Really good drunken noodle but expensive for 2 was 41.00
What more can I say than a place called Noodle House really emphasizes the fact that their housemade noodles are amazing and they are! The family run business really projects that image in their food and the fact that they get a crowd of people around the clock says milestones about the effort that they put into their restaurant! The service was slightly abrupt but considering how crowded they were I can overlook that when the food is this good!
Very good homemade noodles!
Large portions and all our food was delicious.
Our 7 year old had one thing on her mind - noodles. This place delivered. Exceptional food all around and they’ll make it spicy the way you like it.
Would highly recommend this place to satisfy your Thai food itch.
Delicious home cooking!! Will be going back for sure!! 👍
I have never been a big fan of Thai food, but circumstances led me to this place and they have the best Thai food I have ever had! Its been almost two years since I visited Noodle House and I still crave this plate. They just don’t make Thai food like this in the lower 48. I’m tempted to plan another trip to Fairbanks just to have some more!
The food is pretty good, but it's a hole in the wall joint. They also need more staff.
Best Thai food in Fairbanks
Best fresh spring rolls in Fairbanks
Delicious food and great service. I love the red curry (Thai spicy), the chicken fried rice, and the fried eggrolls. I always receive big portions. Also, they're nice people.
Delicious and authentic food, and the prices are pretty good, too.
Good food, limited many food utems, but limited on any changes or modifications. For example I wanted a small fried rice with my entree but they didn't sell small rice just large with was $20. The pho was good tasting but limited on the vegetable provided to go inside
Got the green curry with chicken ($18.95) and it was fantastic. Flavorful, could have used a smidge more basil, but still so good that couldn't stop eating.
Service was great as well. I've tried all the dine in and drive-through Thai places in town (that are open) and this one is the best.

Excellent food. Tried one of the curry's. Spicy and flavorful. Building is kinda old, but appeared clean. The proprietor we very nice.
Food is OK but service is terrible. And the entire restaurant smells really odd.
Amazing, every single time. The lovely lady running it hand makes the noodles every day. Trust me it matters!!!
Family run restaurant amazing egg rolls and coconut soup highly recommend
The homemade noodles are amazing, I highly recommend the House Noodles
Seriously the best Thai in Alaska! The Tom Khar soup is delicious, I would drink it through a boba straw.
Visiting from Kansas and this might have been the best meal on the trip. So fresh and great service. Hawaiian pad Thai was excellent.
Absolutely amazing Thai food! Would 100% come back again
I thought it was going to be perfect since the reviews were pretty good but disappointed on Customer service will never come here again. Also foodbwas okay. For being her ein Alaska I guess. They give you big portions. Also my main issue was she was sick. Like she was coughing everywhere and spreading all that bacteria everywhere was very disgusting. If you sick you should stay home
Great food and service.
Awesome food as always!
Been coming here for years. There are many Thai restaurants in Fairbanks and this one is my absolute favorite hands down. It's the only one I got to now.
Pad Thai beef was well prepared and very tasty. Others had Drunken Noodle dishes. Homemade noodles were perfect. Price affordable. Older building, but everything was clean.
The pad phet was amazing, definitely gonna order that again when I come here next time.
Awesome Spring Rolls, super friendly family staff, and great soup. Got the coconut shrimp soup, delicious.
All good. Can be recommended.
Enjoyed the Pad Thai w.shrimp.
The Best Thai that i have had in a long time.
Awesome food!
Good service and kind hosts
Best drunken noodles I've had in my life! I and search out drunken noodles in every Thai restaurant I've been to! They make their noodles by hand and they are phenomenal!
Amazing noodles! Got the yellow curry, the house noodles and the drunken noodles, spring rolls, thai spring rolls and the thai iced tea. Not a lot of people at 2pm on a Wednesday but the service was quick and good! The noodles are the size of steak fries and almost like dumplings. Everything was so delicious. It was quiet because there was no music playing and we were the only people in here, but still a good atmosphere.
This little hole in the ground is a great experience. They have great food out of this world. Home made noodles. There laid back and relaxed. I go here every month.
Great food and service! Try the pad Thai!
This was our first time eating at a Thai restaurant. The Hawaiian fried rice with chicken was amazing! The Hawaiian pad tai with chicken was also amazing! Highly, highly recommend.
The service and the food were amazing, our tour guide told us it was closed on Sunday but they’re definitely open.
Surprisingly good foox for such a dingy place
Cheap, copious and delicious ! Cosy, cavern-like atmosphere. Staff is competent and welcoming. It got packed super fast on a Sunday evening, which is always a good sign !
Good quantity and tasty food for your money.
We had two Pad thai one shrimp and one chicken. Both were excellent. The only negative is no beer or wine.
My wife and I love this place. Our go to for thai food. Food tastes good and they have friendly staff.
My fav dish is drunken noodle tofu spicy!
I’m visiting from Denver and happened upon this place on a whim. It’s better than any Thai food I’ve had in Denver and may very well be the best Thai food I’ve ever had - period. I’d skip the spring rolls and go straight for the green curry or one of their noodle dishes. I heard their noodles are homemade but I’m not 100% sure. We went twice during our visit and were soooo satisfied.
The Best
Really good food with a pleasant atmosphere. Staff is very kind and polite. My biggest highlight would be the Chai Coffee. Food quality, amount, and presentation is excellent. Just be prepared to ask for a to-go box 😉. If anyone is craving some Pad-Thai, the Noodle House is the place to go.
I went here a few times and got various noodle dishes. You won't be disappointed with what you eat. However, there is something unusual about the management.
Pay with cash.
Really good food! Amazing service and hospitality. For a starter business it is great 👍
I wonder why there are quite a few Thai restaurants in Fairbanks. Perhaps there are a bunch of Thai people who got sick of sweating and moved out to Alaska? What a quaint restaurant, and the dishes did not disappoint.
Shrimp Pad Thai - delicious noodles with plenty of prawns, albeit it was rather sweet
Green Curry - delicious chicken curry with white rice and vegetables
Tom Yum Kung - also very generous with the prawns. I think I counted a total of twelve in the bowl. Again, it was definitely on the sweet side.
It's nice to know you can get decent Thai food even in the far reaches of North America.
Delicious Food Everytime!
Just I have to say yoooooomy =)
TERRIBLE SERVICE. AS SOON AS I WALKED IN SHE SAID I COULD NOT DINE IN WHEN I SAW PEOPLE SITTING. SHE WAS SUPER RUDE TOO!
Full disclosure, if you’re a tourist and used to Thai anywhere else, it’s not great. Had to ask for the spice tray because both my dishes lacked any real flavor. However the food came out hot and quick and nothing else was open on a Sunday night.
Very good food, fast service, good prices.
My go to is the drunken noodle. Noodles are homemade and so, so good. Also love their curries, pho and tom yum. The owner always gets everything right and is so hard working. Best thai restaurant in Fairbanks.
the owner is super friendly. the thai egg rolls are out of this world! The pho is perfect and not sweet like others in town and homemade! Everything she makes is wonderful!
God mat.
The best place to eat great Thai food! Very friendly staff and food is always perfect and quickly made! This is my favorite place to eat Thai and I'll be returning as much as possible!
Friendly staff and good food, more on the sweeter side though
Excellent Pad Thai
Even though what we ordered tasted good, it wasn't thai but more like Chinese style food. Everything smelled and tasted Chinese which is OK, but it was a disappointment because we wanted thai food.
Delicious and fast! Highly recommend the spring rolls, yellow curry, and drunken noodles. So good and our waitress was so attentive.
Stumbled on to this place during a winter storm when Everyone else was closed (including the big names!). It's clean and the food is fantastic ! They were short staffed and people were pouring in (since other restaurants were closed) but they managed everything efficiently and the lady was never short of a smile!
Delicious vegan food, huge dish, amazing service
Very good Thai food convenient to my stay downtown. I had pad thai and spring rolls. The spring rolls were phenomenal. The pad thai could’ve been hotter, but again I didn’t specify the heat and they didn’t ask, so I wasn’t sure if it could be adjusted. Excellent warm meal after a long, cold day in Denali.
Incredible food. Prices are pretty good for downtown. I usually leave here with leftovers.
I wish the owner (?) could be my own grandma 🥺 she was so kind. We arrived after walking in -15 degree weather and as soon as we walked in she served us hot water immediately to warm up. The homemade noodles were fantastic (we had the drunken noodles) and the red curry was perfectly spiced. Definitely worth a visit!!
Excellent Thai food! After a long day of travel and airplane pretzels, the Noodle House was a great find - warm, bright, and full of the delicious smells of Thai cuisine. The vegetarian pad thai really hit the spot. The prices were good and the service very friendly.
Awesome food!! You will experience typical food and won't be disappointed. Love this place since day 1.
The drunken noodle was one of the best asian dishes I've ever had.
Had the house noodles which were awesome, homemade noodles are thick and flavorful. Large portion sizes for a good price, you will likely have leftovers.
The beef pho was a bit salty. Sticking to the signature dishes will probably satisfy you most! Very quaint inside, tables were a bit too close together to other patrons.
Had the Chicken Pad Thai (basic, I know). But was definitely top 5 I’ve ever had.
Flavors were great and portions were generous, but I have to give less than 5 stars for the service. I believe our waitress forgot about us. 3 other tables came in after us and received their food well in advance of us. Server did apologize, so they did seem to care. One big negative - I asked for my pad thai to be spicy and it had really no discernable heat. I had to ask for chili to add myself. Still, I would give this place another try.
Tastes great!
Pho soup is good. Barbecue beef dry and overcook. server gave us the check and was ready with the machine asking us to pay when we were still eating. I noticed that she did same thing with everyone else. This was weird and not nice.
Server like rude attitude when asking questions.
Best pad se ew I've ever had. Best home made noodles anywhere.
Awesome Thai spot - if you’re in the area, just come here, you won’t be disappointed!
The service was great! Stopped by for a quick bite and was super impressed by how genuinely friendly and very attentive the staff was - they definitely went out of their way to make everyone feel welcomed!
The food was delicious! Had the Hawaiian pad Thai which was super fresh and flavorful, and the drinks were delicious as well!
Would highly recommend!
