NOTE: WAIT TIMES MAY EXCEED OVER AN HOUR OR MORE, ESPECIALLY DURING PEAK DINING HOURS AND WEEKENDS. THIS IS NORMAL FOR OUR SMALL RESTAURANT. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY! :)

Quick update - STILL Amazing!! Had to add a picture of the combination plate. It was all great and the sauces were over the top!
The best way to give a quick overview of this restaurant would be to say that it is simply stunning on all levels!
Let's start with the very clean and well decorated restaurant that makes you feel comfortable just walking in. If you call your order in or if you order when you get there, they have a very nice area to wait for your food.
The food was well presented, exploding with multiple fresh flavors and spices! I really enjoy Thai food BUT, Sweet Basil took my love for Thai food to another level! Thank you SO much for what you do to make what comes out of the kitchen simply amazing!
The last thing that needs to be mentioned is the way the staff relates to the customers. This was our first time at this restaurant and my wife had some questions. They answered all of her questions with patience and concern. We felt welcome here right from the start but the way they talked to many of the other customers was like they were chatting with family. I am guessing that these were regular visitors but the fact that they talked to people by name was impressive. Even more impressive that they helped people with their orders that could use some assistance.
Start to finish, this was a fantastic visit. The food and staff will bring me back anytime I am in the area. I wish they were open more - AND I lived closer - but when you work with that much passion, you deserve some time off! Keep up the great work!
Sweet Basil is a fantastic family-owned restaurant! The food is absolutely amazing, with generous portion sizes that are sure to leave you satisfied. I especially appreciate their gluten-free options, which are both plentiful and delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for great food and warm hospitality!
GOOD GOLLY OH MOLLY this place SLAPS. Let me tell anyone reading this, this place is WORTH IT. I had the absolute privilege and pleasure of trying their food and will most certainly make this restaurant a staple. The roasted coconut drink (no photo as I drank it as fast as humanly possible) was great, almost like Nab Vam with tapioca jelly strips but a very rich coconut flavor. The Thai coffee was creamy, full flavored and delicious. The mango sticky rice had remarkably fresh mango, finished off perfectly with a sweet coconut cream. And a personal favorite, pad see ew, was some of the best I’ve had. The sauce was present but not too soupy or heavy— just the right amount to flavor the dish very well. The vegetables were fresh, crisp and bright against the dark soy and oyster sauces. The beef was tender, and the portions were good. While picking up my order I got to chat with the staff and relax inside. The interior is cozy, well decorated and clean. The staff were all insanely nice, showing me orders coming out of the kitchen so I could know what to get next time, love this spot!
This place is amazing! I visited from Central Florida and am used to larger operations with a certain food quality (Disney, Universal,…) and when I got there it was small, but very high on customer service. It has the feel of a “hole in the wall” place run with a family restaurant atmosphere. Every person we talked to was beyond delighted we were there and offered specialized service for our dining experience.
The wait is a bit long, but after tasting the food I can see why. The food taste and quality was high above anything I’ve gotten even at Disney and places I’m used to. They obviously make all items fresh and as you order. It was modestly priced, less expensive than I’d pay at McDonald’s honestly.
The post dinner was on point as well and all staff were not just sitting around, they were all very hard working and friendly. Overall, I’d make it a stop every time I’m in town!
I can’t say enough about the food though, extremely satisfying and we intended to leave with leftovers, but we finished everything. Clean plate club!!!
Delicious! So glad we found this place. I’m from out of state but since we found this place a couple years ago it’s made our list of places to get food from almost every time we come to visit family in the area! Love that they have a separate vegan menu with tons of choices, and are very knowledgeable about their vegan offerings. The jeow bong noodles are a must-have and what we get pretty much every time! Also love the tofu skewers, and other family members have enjoyed a variety of other things on the menu. If you like really spicy food, I recommend going for the top of the spice scale because it’s not as intense as some other Thai places. Also wait times can be long but it’s worth it, just make sure to account for this and call early!
it is actually an honor to be able to purchase food from this restaurant. The jeow bong fried rice is INCREDIBLE…I haven’t been able to find a place in Milwaukee that serves the same citrus heat. The mee hang is also fantastic and I highly recommend—I love the texture of the noodles. Bless this restaurant for bringing their food into my life.
My wife and I had a wonderful dinner here on a Saturday night. They kindly told us there would be approximately a 30 minute wait for food, which we were okay with. The food was worth the wait, and the service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.
Absolutely amazing customer service and incredible staff. Best Thai food in the area!! Everything on the menu is so delicious. Milwaukee hidden gem.
If you enjoy really, really enjoy well done, Thai food... then Sweet Basil is a must stop for you! Vibes like the street side Thai Cafe abroad. Have a little patience, and be rewarded!

DELICIOUS food. Love the atmosphere and service. They definitely go above and beyond. I can't recommend this place enough! Stop reading and go place an order!
Such good customer service and always so yummy!!!
Took over 1 hour to get our food. Definitely need to hire more cooks and waiters.
First time and recommended 100% the food is fire , i don’t really eat dessert any where but even the desserts are amazing
This is my second time eating Sweet Basil and it honestly makes me wish I lived in Milwaukee just so I could eat here more. They have the best vegan Pad Thai I've ever had, hands down.

Amazing food, a taste of Thailand without the plane ticket. Highly recommend for Vegetarians and Vegans!!!
Amazing vegan options 🥰😍 just hope maybe one day hours of operation are expanded so I can get my fix more often! Definitely recommend!

Wow, you really need to get down to Sweet Basil and try the pad Thai, it’s some of the best I’ve had and I have traveled the world…. so fresh, so extremely well prepared. I had the shrimp at spice level two which was perfect for me. Recommend getting extra sauce, which we did. Super delicious chicken egg rolls. I highly recommend this restaurant, The food is super high-quality and surprisingly inexpensive.
This place is great. We have only done take out but nothing disappointed. I love Pad Thai and fried rice, both great. Dessert egg rolls are great too. It's a small place, clean and nice, wonderful staff, always friendly. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.

been going here for 5 years. the best lao food in mke :)
Good service, good music...Good prices...definitely coming back!!!!!!
Busy place on a Saturday night. They have a brisk takeout business and a small seating area. The workers in the front of the house worked hard to keep the line moving. We ordered vegetarian egg rolls, panang curry and vegetarian drunken noodles with tofu. The egg rolls were very oily and a little overdone. Curry and Rice was good. They had a take of spice level (1-5) and I was happy with my choice of 1. My partner ordered a three and he added quite a bit of rooster sauce to his. Portion size was generous and they had ample takeout supplies in the dining room. No prices on the menu, seems like it was about $16-17 for an entree.
Outstanding 🤤🤤
You can never go wrong with this place. The food is amazing and the staff are great. And this is why you have to wait sometimes a little longer than usual, but it's worth it!
Excellent food. Nice variety--something for everyone. The place is quite cozy though.
Omg..if you haven't tried this place, you need to run there. It's amazing and seasoned just perfectly! Yum!
The food was amazing! Best crab rangoon I have EVER had. Very beautiful restaurant and friendly staff :)
My favorite place
Nice food.
We love their food, but they have been closed outside of normally posted hours each of the last 6 times we've tried to order. At least according to their website and by the lack of anyone answering their phone... Very unfortunate because the food is fantastic.
Started out a little slow but by the time I finished I was liking everything about the place, the guy who gave it a one star because there was no flavor is an idiot. I'll be back
Genuinely such a wonderful experience! I would highly recommend!
Amazing! Ordered all 4 of their family platters for a little reunion the other night. Everything on these platters were delicious! I was glad to have seen the notice about calling ahead for larger orders. Truly cannot think of another place that could have made something of this quality for such a great price. Thank you sweet basil ❤️❤️
I drive 45 minutes to get their gluten free food. I would drive over an hour. Everyone I have taken here it falls in love with them as well. Best food around
Perfect meal. Top notch cooking, coming from a guy that love to cook and eat good cooking.
Great food, generous portions and reasonably priced. Seems like a lot of carry out orders here but there is a nice small dining area as well. You order and pay at the counter and they bring your food out to you which is super convenient. The place is really clean & comfortable. They keep it moving here, the service was excellent. Thanks!!
Friendly staff and the food is amazing!
Staff is very friendly.
Tofu fried rice o.k.
Egg rolls amazing.
Wish they still made Pho. very sad about that.
Wow. EXCELLENT SERVICE. Ingredients fresh and food delicious. We tried a myriad of items and really enjoyed each item. Sauces were delicious and our Thai coffee and tea were on point. But we were truly stunned by the service.
Everyone was polite and friendly and on top of their game. We actually received the wrong protein in one dish but before we even could dig in the server realized without prompting and the kitchen made it right immediately. We were so impressed.
Spice levels! If you actually do spicy food, then go up on your spice level. We did medium for both of ours and honestly it was more like a mild. I think it’s based off Milwaukee spice level (we’re from out of town). Still delicious though.
Finally, just a big thank you! They told us this was their third location in the US. I hope you guys expand even more. Love the food and the vibes. 🤍
Great taste and service.
Absolutely fantastic food. Basil fried rice and street food were awesome.
Delicious! So glad we found this place. I’m from out of state but since we found this place a couple years ago it’s made our list of places to get food from almost every time we come to visit family in the area! The food is good. Anytime we are driving past or have a craving they are closed, which is pretty disappointing. We would definitely eat here again if they had more hours but we've tried 3 times in the past few months and each time they are closed. Finally checked their website hours and called at 7:20 to place an order and they close at 8. Decided they aren't taking any more orders. We are giving up all together on this place. But, if they're open, their pad Thai and buffalo rangoons are legit!
We go here often. The thing we love the most is the variety of options on the menu, from gluten free to removing or adding items to a dish. Very easy to customize exactly what you want. Very safe for those with celiac or gluten intolerance. The food is great as well. While I've had better thai, it's one of the better ones, especially in Milwaukee. Wish they were open for lunch.
I got the drunken noodles yesterday and it was SO GOOD. had the left overs today and still sooo good. Quality chicken and fresh noodles and veggies.
A gem of Milwaukee! A family owned business and the food is amazing!
Great food, great service, a little long wait time, (approx 45min), nice waiting area good cucumber water, can't complain!
Delicious food. Unique approach. Friendly staff. We are frequent customers.
Sweet Basil has a charming ambiance and friendly staff, but the food fell short in the flavor department. Despite the appealing presentation, the dishes were surprisingly bland and lacked the vibrant taste one would expect from a place with such a promising menu. Unfortunately, the overall dining experience was underwhelming due to the lack of seasoning and depth in the flavors.
New to the area, Tried it because of the great reviews and it was very good food and tom yum soup favorite so far 😋
Have been here several times in the last month and have loved it each time. Highly recommend their Pad Thai! Service is great as well. Will be coming back!
Everything I've had exceeded expectations. It's really really good. 🤤 And the staff are consistently pleasant.
Best thai food in Milwaukee or Franklin. Service is excellent and just nice friendly people.
Great good! Get the Buffalo chicken rangoons
Kyle and the folks rock
Amazing food and service! This is one of THE BEST Thai restaurants in Milwaukee Area! 100% will keep coming back. Hard to find such a great restaurant and friendly, connecting staff! Pad Kee Mao and Pad Thai are OFF THE CHARTS GOOD! And you absolutely have to order the Thai Sweet Chili Wings!
it's the chicken skewers and sticky rice for me! i also had the lao sausage but keep the cucumber ready because the bite might have some heat. super quick service and very clean. communication is clear and hospitality is the best. i love this place
They removed some good things off their menu... Tried some new items, not so good... Service was not that great either, felt like I was bothering them when I asked questions about other menu items I hadn't tried before... I Don't think I'll be coming back to this one, sorry.
I didn't spend much time in the restaurant. The food was average, but the prices were high. I'm not sure if I would recommend it. At best, it was your typical Asian restaurant.
Food is always delicious, although, like most restaurants, the prices are higher. Staff always polite and helpful. Most times there is a wait of 30 to 60 minutes, but it is a small establishment and very popular. My faves are the lao sausages, papaya salad, and fried rice. Most options can be spice/heat customized.
The food is always on point and the service is great. Make sure to call early or else they might be sold out!
Nice staff, small and cozy atmosphere, pleasing decor and tasty food
Food is great! Service was great! I recommended the pad thai. It's my go to everytime I'm here.
I went for dinner to this place with my family and we absolutely loved it. The ambience, service and food quality are amazing. Staff are really professional and help you with food suggestions. This is the only restaurant that I have liked in Bhubaneswar. It’s a must try if you like Thai cuisine.
My goodness!!! I am so excited to have finally tried this place. My fiancé and I have yet to find a Thai location that we love, but now we have! We got Thai iced tea, pad Thai, and chicken satay. The Thai iced tea (not pictured because we chugged it) was deliriously sweet and milky- my favorite! The pad Thai had the perfect amount of sauce, and you can alter the spice level. Level 2 was great if you want to “feel” heat but not have a runny nose. The textures from all the different ingredients made this so delightful. They also give you so much egg which I love! Lastly, the chicken satay was amazing. The chicken had a wonderful texture/crisp on the outside and was moist and soft on the inside. The peanut and sweet cucumber sauce paired wonderfully with it. I’m so excited to try more!
I believe our cashiers name was Derek- he was super nice and patient!
The only thing I would mention is that you tell your guests that decide to dine in that they will have to go back in line to order. Someone had asked us while we were close to the front of the line if we wanted to dine in (assuming they were going to take our order), we were sat, and then told that we would have to go back in line for our order, which was now about 10 people long. We ended up just getting takeout.
Regardless, MY FAVORITE PLACE NOW!
Shhhhhh. Don't tell anyone about this place. The Tom Kha is mine! All mine!
About as good of Thai as you are going to get outside of Thailand. I love the prices, the counter service style, and the setup. If I were a neighbor, I'd be a regular.
The food was amazing with good portions and prices. They were able to accommodate my husband and I with our vegan and gluten free diets.
This restaurant is incredibly tasty, affordable and has excellent service.
Highly recommend
Wow I am so happy I discovered this place ! The atmosphere is so tranquil and refreshing in comparison to other food places. The food I got was delicious and I look forward to trying even more things on the menu !
Fantastic food! Super fresh and made to perfection!! Worth the wait!!
Food was delicious and customer service was even better! We will be back to try different dishes. Please come and support this local family business!

Hours seem to never match what is listed online. Several times Ive tried to place an order around 6:30pm and they never take orders. I used to eat here all the time. Good food just not convenient hours . Online orders never go through. 8pm close time is actually 6pm. Try momo mee or Sap Sap.
Shared the starter platter, with Pad Thai as my entree. The chicken and beef skewers are so good!! All of their sauces are fresh, and everything was super flavorful! I’m usually picky.. but everything was great!
The food was delicious. We use to go all the way to brown deer just to get thai food but now we don't have to go too far. We ordered pad Thai and OG chicken. Il most definitely will be back.
餐館面積太細, 等候枱子和出餐時間太慢 ,餐點味道也可以, 服務不滿意 和氣氛不舒適!
Best Thai food in Wisconsin hands down! You will not be disappointed in their food. Have tried several other Thai restaurants around Milwaukee and Racine and all were mediocre at best. Highly recommended.
Spent a lot of time just like my fellow Milwaukee peeps looking for a quality place and this is it! Quality food and quality ingredients and a good work force. Superior above all the other restaurants in this city
Everyone was SO SWEET. I mean wow 10/10 service 10/10 food. Great for gluten free
best place in greater Milwaukee area
Amazing Thai and Lao cuisine! Everyone was very helpful and 😎 good vibes!
Love Sweet Basil! My fiancé and I are regulars and every order we’ve had has always been delicious. We recommend to all of our friends and family and they love it as well. My favorite pad thai hands down but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! It was also one of the easiest wedding planning decisions as we instantly knew that we want them to cater when the time comes!
We ordered catering for a baby shower. It was easy and seamless to place the order and pick up. They were helpful in deciding what and how much to order and kept up communication until the event. Everyone raved about the food at the shower. Favorites seemed to be the egg rolls and the lemon grass chicken skewers but really everything was amazing. I would most certainly order again!
Come from Waukesha all the time for it, noticed a change in quality but was a favorite before
Always enjoy coming to Sweet Basil. The food is consistently incredible!!!
"You should give them 10 stars if you can."
My fiance and I LOVE Sweet Basil! Everything is always fresh, flavorful, and cooked well. The jeow bong fried rice, lemongrass skewers, and lao sausage are our favorites! We live and work no where near their location, but will absolutely go out of our way for it. The staff is so friendly, and you can tell that they really care about the quality of their dishes and customer experience. Just go, you won't be disappointed!
Hidden gem. Food was amazing! Will definitely come again.
Words don't do this place justice. Just go. If u hate it I'll pay for it
Could have spacious room
I loved everything! The egg rolls are my favorite in the Milwaukee area. I also got the sweet mango sticky rice and loved it. Absolutely worth it, I plan to order it every time I eat Sweet Basil. I also enjoyed the Pad Kee Mao, everything had a good texture, and the flavors blended together well. The pork skewers were very tasty. I got extra sticky rice with peanut sauce to go with the skewers, and that was a good combo.
The best. Many visits, always consistently excellent. Food comes out hot and fresh. They seem to makes their sauces and seasonings in house in my estimation. Location would do well to expand or open another location.
This is my favorite restaurant.
Nice people.
Good job! Head and shoulders above everything else out there.
I want their Tom Yum recipe! Can’t be beat and loads of amazing flavor.
Excellent food and service. Great experience
This is our go-to pick-up place! Consistently exceptional food and friendly staff. Their Pad Thai is bomb but explore the whole menu, everything is great!! My partner has Celiac's; their gluten free accommodations are safe and tasty!!
Did a holiday order of multiple dishes for a family gathering. The food was awesome, everyone loved it, there wasn’t a single thing people didn’t like. Highly recommended.
Best takeout in town. We called and ordered takeout for 13 people with a very complicated order! Andrew took the order and went absolutely above and beyond to make sure that it was perfect. We have eaten here more than 10+ times and the meals are always fresh, delicious, and filling. Thank you!
A welcome new spot to get the SE Asian street food I love. Although the food feels like it leans more Lao, the Thai food was also great! I do wish the platters came with a bit of jeow bong instead of as a separate add-on but that’s a minor issue. I’d definitely come back here if I’m on the south side though!
Note: dine in can get pretty crowded so I’d probably recommend takeout if you don’t go early.
Food's ok. Tbth we just got back from Thailand so paying $48 for dinner seemed a lot steep - and the food itself was kind of just ok. Not bad, but not memorable.
Best Thai food I have found in SE Wisconsin. The BBQ platter was especially tasty.
This place is great! Fit for a King
GB
Ate here for the first time with my adult children for my son's birthday. The food was delicious, the staff was wonderful! Will definitely be back!
We came into Sweet Basil on a Thursday night.
We started with the Buffalo Chicken Rangoon and Teriyaki Beef skewers. They arrived quickly, and fresh. The Teriyaki skewers were served with a tomato sauce that reminded me of a salsa derivative, it was very good. 10/10 The Rangoons were cooked perfectly and i'm sure some people love them but I personally didn’t care for them honestly. 7/10, wouldn’t order again
We ordered Pad See Ew and Pad Kee Mao both with chicken as entrees. The Pad See Ew was good but not great. Good flavor but was missing something. A Solid 8/10. The Pad Kee Mao was very good - I ordered on recommendation of the waiter and it was exceptional 10/10. Only critique was that it had very little chicken.
Decent value, plates were average size 7.5/10 for value
Service was exceptional 10/10
Bathrooms were clean 10/10
I give this place a 9/10 but since it’s out of 5, I have to go 5/5. Reason being it's closer to a 5 than 4 and I don't want to be the one dragging it to a 4. It’s not a 5 but it is a strong 4.75 and definitely a strong offering.
Sweet Basil is one of the very best additions to the south side food scene recently, our most frequently ordered takeout for sure!
Their online menu is so easy to navigate, with separate gluten free and vegan menus, and ultra customizable- you can remove bamboo shoots from your meal or add broccoli or tofu or a dozen other things, and choose your spice level.
We love the curries and the noodles and fried rice, and their monthly specials are usually great too.
We don’t know what we’d do without you Sweet Basil!
Good food, small place for dine-in
Better for to go, cleanliness is opportunity
I’ve mostly ordered take-out, but I’ve consistently had delicious food from Sweet Basil. Always fresh ingredients and flavors that knock it out of the park. The interactions I’ve had with staff are nothing but friendly and kind.
I will recommend that you check their hours, as sometimes they will randomly close for death, illness, or special events. But honestly that makes me want to support them even more as a small business. We should normalize closing for these reasons and valuing employees.
Not only my favorite Thai restaurant in the area but also my favorite restaurant! I have eaten here at least once a week since Oct 2022 when I was diagnosed with celiac disease, they have never let me down and provided amazing gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options. By far the most consistent and wonderful food. The staff is all wonderful! It’s great to have a business in the area that cares so much about community, family, and friends.
A co-worker recommended this place. I order takeout and they missed up my order. I order and paid for beef red curry but the did not out the beef in it. 😡
Incredible tasting food!! The flavors were beautiful enough to make me close my eyes, smile and say OMG! I will be a true repeat customer! THANK YOU Sweet Basil!!
Absolutely A1 Legendary food, and seevice :) I'll be back!
Very good food. Well worth any wait. If you are dining in, it can feel a little tight. There was a line of people standing waiting to order that went out the door by 6.
I enjoyed the very generous helpings of these items: vegan pad thai, veggie egg rolls (crispy but not greasy), potato puffs, & mango sticky rice. I also value that they didn't put the to-go items in horrendous styrofoam.
I value they care about the environment & community. The more we support businesses with values, the better off Mother Earth & humanity will be-as every gesture, everything we consume can be more conscious.
Thank you Sweet Basil for my first introduction to genuine Thai food.
Not really a space for dine in. Would be great for lunch or something casual and fast. Food and service was outstanding! Wife and kids didn’t know anything on the menu but, loved everything we got in our samplers. Great place to try something new for your pallet.
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. THE STAFF. THE FOOD. THE VIBES. WOW. I've never had a bad experience here and I can't wait to go back. If I could eat here every day I would.
The food is always delicious and the service is great
Great place, have never had a bad experience. We love the Curries, the starters and the spice level is perfect.
The staff was really friendly. And the was amazing
And I thought the pictures of the food were professionally taken! No all the food is that possible cure perfect. 6/5 stars
Unbelievably good tom kha. Everything here is amazing, to be fair. The yellow curry is great, the Thai iced tea is so good, and the staff is so amazing. They made sure my sensitivity to spice was taken care of and even brought out an extra container of coconut milk in case I needed to water down my curry.
I even learned that the owner picks the peppers they use for their chili paste from her own garden. The love they put into this food is felt with every bite.
If you're in a rush, order ahead because this place is always busy with how good their food is.
We stop at Sweet Basil's whenever we are in the area. We live almost an hour and a half away, but there are days I would drive that far for their Panang Curry alone! I have never been able to find it's equal! LOVE THIS PLACE!
Amazing! Excellent food! Get their early, and expect to wait, because the place is so popular that it's often packed. A 30-60 min wait for carry out order has been my experiences this far, still worth waiting for!
The food is amazing and their customer service is unbeatable! Best food in the area!!
Delicious. Excited to try more things on the menu!
We had an amazing dinner here this evening. We ordered the Papaya Salad, Panang Curry w/ chicken and Mee Hang w/chicken. The presentation & flavors of each dish were over the top of any Thai we've had in awhile. They were busy, but we didn't have to wait more then 10 minutes for our food to come to the table.
Best take out we've had in a loooooong time! We'll be back again for sure!
Stopped here for the first time tonight. There were so many delicious looking options on the menu. I ordered the pad Thai which was absolutely delicious! This is definitely my new favorite restaurant. Can't wait to bring friends and family here! There are so many more things I want to try.
We catered them for lunch today. Top notch service and the food was amazing!!
Top Notch Goodness. Highly recommend
The best Thai food ever!!! My husband and I can’t get enough of their delicious dishes. Can’t wait to go back.
Amazing food — the specials menu is not to be missed! I was really impressed with the fresh rolls and Ma Hang noodles. Delicious and fresh, I can’t wait to go back!
Amazing food and the ppl were super friendly too..
Very good. Name makes sense for the food. Got pad Thai and definitely sweeter your standard stuff, in a good way of course.
Sweet Basil is absolutely the BEST Thai food I have ever had across the USA! The Tom Kha soup was extremely flavorful with just the right amount of heat (your choice of spice level 1-5, I got the 4), spices and lemongrass. Sometimes lemongrass can either be too strong or not present at all, but at Sweet Basil the flavors were all in perfect balance.
The best part was that I wanted a curry but omitting certain ingredients and adding others. They were very accommodating and I received the perfect bowl of curry just the way I like it and it too was perfectly flavored, just like the soup.
Sweet Basil will not disappoint, I look forward to going back to try their other dishes!
First time here, will be back! I liked everything I ordered! Not a bad choice on the menu! Really enjoyed the mango sticky rice dessert!
Wow. We’ve been to Thailand and eaten at many different places there - this food tops that. This is authentic and so delicious! So thankful to have found it! Try the beef jerky with sticky rice special dish. It’s unbelievable.
Great food and super friendly staff. First time here, and won't be the last!
The food was absolutely delicious and amazing 💗 I had the house fried rice and I was pleasantly surprised when my order came out. They do not skimp out on the portions. It was worth every penny. The staff was nice and friendly and the building was clean
Best there is! Everything is amazing! Our favorites are the Tom Kha soup, papaya salad and Pad Thai.
Good food and the staff was really nice and me and my wife will be going back to eat there that's for sure.
Well Done!! 👏🏼👏🏼
Very tasty food. Good portion size. A little spice was spice for me and normally I have no issues with spicy food 😅
I had a very tasty yellow curry meal, and there was plenty of it! The ambiance was sassy modern, with ordering at the counter (and tipping in advance, which was weird). The dining process was a little unusual, in that you picked up your plastic ware, napkins and ohashi at a station on your way back to a table. When the food comes, it is on a tray with just serving containers - I didn't think to grab a plate with my other things. No worries, it was just steps away. I enjoyed this meal and will return in the future.
My daughters and I ate at Sweet Basil for the first time over a week ago. I have been wanting to scratch this restaurant off of my "To eat at" list for a long while now.
First, I want to say that the staff is incredibly helpful and pleasant. It's hard to find this nowadays when dining out, so I was grateful for that. The establishment was very clean and well kept. There is a self-service station to the left of the ordering counter where you can grab plates, utensils, water, to go containers, etc.
We had gotten the crab rangoons, the OG platter, a mango boba smoothie and thai iced coffee. If you get the OG platter, make sure to get extra sticky rice because there's enough meat to feed three hungry adults! We ended up getting two more orders of sticky rice for the remainder of the meal and our leftovers to have at home. (Btw, dipping sticky rice into the papaya salad juice and eating with the Lao sausage is where it's at lol)
The crab rangoons were delicious - perfectly cooked and the right balance of flavors, with the dipping sauce.
You can tell that the food here is made with a lot of love and has excellent attention to detail as well as fresh ingredients and bold flavors.
We enjoyed our first visit and will definitely be returning in the future to try other menu items that I had my eye on, such as the panang curry and the pad thai.
Please support this family owned small business! Your taste buds will thank you. 😊
