The egg rolls are incredible (piping hot and generous as far as helpings go).

This place deserves patronage and a steady stream of business. I hope others enjoy the fresh food as much as I did.

Ordered chicken lo mein and fresh spring roll
/ vegetarian spring rolls. I honestly could not really tell the difference as you can see in the photos it was pure lettuce maybe about four little carrots four pieces of chicken and literally one shrimp I basically paid for a lettuce wrap the chicken was very dry and tasteless tasted like it just got boiled and had no seasoning it was bad I've had plenty of spring rolls and this by far was one of the worst you can tell they did not put any effort into making the food good as a small restaurant you should take more pride about how you cook food just so you can get more people to come back to your establishment pretty disappointed my first time coming here I will give it a four-star for service just because the gentleman was nice and was willing to refund and remake but I decided I did not even want to do that. The chicken lo mein was decent.

My fav dishes are the cashew mushroom chicken (Chinese), pad see ew, and pad thai. And for apps, my favs are the cream cheese butterflies and the crunchy crunch fried spring rolls. 10/10 💯💯💯

We got the pad see ew, General Tso's chicken, egg rolls, and potstickers. They used the wrong kind of noodles for the pad see ew. Normally, it's made with really wide noodles that have a toothsome feel, which is why I ordered it because I was craving them. They made my dish with tiny thin noodles, not sure why. And the general tso's chicken was ok, but it came on a bed of really weird sad noodle things, I'm not sure if they're supposed to be eaten or just to keep the chicken fresh. Other than that, everything was fine, but I wouldn't say this place is worth the price. The Thai Iced tea was the best thing we ordered.

They are so friendly, always great service and amazing food.

We have been coming here since they first opened. The food has always been great, the staff extremely friendly and considerate. This is a family only business and we have gotten to know them. They left Cambodia with their four boys and a good business to start anew in the US so that their boys would have a good education and better life. One is now in the medical school locally and the other three are to be proud of. We particularly love their pad thai, fried rice and salmon Curry. Oh also their butterflies, bbq pork and fried spring roll appetizers. They have discontinued their lunch buffet. This is not a intimate dining experience but the food has always been fresh, great, &plenty of it so that we've had to box every time. And you could not ask for nicer people. We hope you will experience the Tea Garden Restaurant! All take out is fresh too.

The atmosphere I gave a five-star, it's not necessarily romantic, not necessarily a love nest, but after all it is a restaurant of impeccable taste! I enjoy hot and spicy foods and have savored at every level 1 through 5, and their special 5 plus! In my opinion, the best dining experience in Yakima!

Perfect spot for lunch right in downtown Yakima. I had the Special Low Mein which consists of Beef, Pork, Chicken and Shrimp. I would recommend this dish if you like all the meat. The meals are appropriately priced. I had a great waiter as well.

I've been coming here for 10 years or so. Food is always amazing and it's made fresh once you order. It takes time to make food with love. Be prepared to wait, but it will be so worth it. We order takeout so we can use the prep time to drive over. Their bbq pork and BBQ chicken is the best I've had.

This place looks dull and shabby but don't let that fool you. The food is excellent here. They make everything fresh so it takes a while, but well worth the wait. This is easily the best Chinese food we have tried so far in Eastern Washington. Ignore the worn out 80's/90's diner decor and just enjoy the food.

the food was good & very, very fresh. large portions, good prices, & friendly service. long wait for our takeout order, and if you're doing takeout take some extra spice - all of our dishes tasted like a 1 star on the spice level, even though we ordered dishes ranging from 1 - 5 stars. the pad see ew did not taste like pad see ew - it was very good but tasted more like a slightly spicy chow mein. pork fried rice was tasty. pad thai was good. in the end everything was good & fresh & hit the spot, but felt more like chinese takeout vs.thai (except for the pad thai).

Talk about a hidden treasure in the heart of Yakima! My family traveled with my very disabled mother, on her whim and short notice. They sat all 15 of my family members quickly, were attentive and took our orders swiftly. Our food arrived in a timely manner and was absolutely perfect! Freshly made and you could taste it! Although my family can be a bit overwhelming, we were treated graciously, and service was excellent. Definitely recommend!

I’ve been coming here for years and now a regular. I order the green curry. I’ve gone to other places and the portions are nowhere near as great or as tasty. You can tell they put thought into the food. I’m speaking of the menu items. Can’t vouch for the buffet but ordering from the menu is always A+++ :)

We love going here. Where else can you get General Tso chicken and Pad Thai at the same time? If you like spicy food, add their home made peppers to your dish, they are so good.

Came in this evening and ordered General Tso chicken, and spring rolls. First off the resturant is very clean, and quiet. I was greeted right away, and my food took long enough that you knew it was made fresh, but not too long . The food was very good. Spice level was a perfect medium on the General Tso, and the spring rolls were delicious. I'll definitely be going back to try some of their other offerings. Hidden gem for sure .

The owner brought out a tarp to put under my newborn daughter. She was really afraid that the baby would make a mess. Made me feel embarrassed and discriminated against. Buffet was 13$ which is high especially when Minado is so much better for 12$. On the other hand the pad Thai was good. There is a nasty sign on the wall that says you will be charged more for any leftovers you leave. I guess in their world the customers please the owners of the business. Wonder how long they will stay open. I’m never giving them another $

Stopped in before the lunch rush and I am thinking that was a bad idea. It seemed like all the food on the buffet table was cold or luke warm. Tasted like it was probably yesterdays food at best. Poor value and poor quality food. Right now I feel bad for what I put in my tummy and it is feeling like it won't be in there long! Food was comparable to a lower class old country buffet $15 for an all-you-can-eat buffet when they literally have 10 different items on the entire menu to choose from minus the drinks is absurd. may be considered adequate for someone who wants a quick bite to eat during their lunch break and the middle of the day when there's no other options around but to go there on a date or take someone that I actually care about what they eat I think not. there was barely anything within the trays almost as if they keep it low to avoid throwaway cost not to mention the fish was not appetizing smelling at all and this is coming from someone who loves sushi and eel and calamari

Nothing was - bad-, but everything was mediocre at best. Prices higher than I'd expect for this type of place even if the quality were higher.

Chinese combo meal was close to par with what you might get at Safeway, but after it'd been sitting in the warming trays for a while.

Tom Kah soup was fine, but not particularly well balanced, somewhat lacking in flavor, and choice of veggies was uninspired. Chicken pieces were rather dry and tough. Steamed rice included some that was actually burnt.

Thai tea was fairly yummy, but also over-the-top sweet, even for Thai tea.

I came to Yakima for a job conferences, and I found this Thai restaurant on Google map with high ratings, so I wanted to try out, they have variety of different Thai and Chinese foods, I ordered Thai ice tea, pad Thai noodles and green curry chicken, it was delicious, the owner is nice and friendly with customers, I highly recommended.
