Extremely delicious restaurant…poor customer service. Not my first time coming and eating in at this place but this is my first experience of bad/unsanitary service. We were seated by the male host, he set our table up, asked us if he could get us started on drinks, returned with drinks and he took our order. Absolutely amazing and friendly. He checked on our table multiple times. As we were waiting, there is a female buss girl who was being quite rude to some customers in the super small area, one being a complaint about the food and she straight up told him that he doesn’t have to like it and she could take it back. Biggest issue is she is wearing gloves - like handling dirty dishes, grabbing your credit card, handing you your bill, and giving you your fresh food…that is unsanitary. You can’t even do that in a hospital. We were there on a Soupocalypse Fremont quest to get the gift prize at the end. We were on our 7th bowl of soup. My partner in crime, girlfriend and I were ordering a bowl to share and we would get our tickets on each of our cards and go to the next place! Yeah this place is literally no fun when it comes to locals events, we got swindled by the buss girl, who took over our table out of nowhere after seeing dirty dishes on the side, into buying another 4 serving bowl of soup after already ordering a 4 serving bowl of soup and kept saying “2 soup 2 sticker” and shaking her head at us. (Not really swindled since the food is so goddamn good) extremely expensive as well so be warned, as well as they do a 15% added on to every bill (10% for back staff 5% for front staff) on top asking for tips starting at 20%. Anyway, I explained that we were on our 7th restaurant and that every single place we have been to has been doing one bowl 3 stickers and she was just soo set in stone and didn’t want us to get to the prize! True rule followers right there! Quest was almost a failure if it weren’t for the other restaurants! Not so sure if I’ll be back for a while. Maybe in the fall, see you then <3
Friendly atmosphere and a beautiful place to sit down for a Thursday evening dinner. They have a great outdoor space and the food was fresh. My server gave me great recommendations and I am excited that I took her suggestion on the crab rangoon. Would definitely go back sometime soon.
Got dinner here last night.
Thai food is some of my absolute favorite, and this Pad Thai did not disappoint!!
I got it with tofu, spice 2, it was so good. Only think is I wish there was more tofu, there was only like 5 pieces.
My friend got Pad See Ew, with beef spice 3. He said it was super good, but a little on the spicy side so be aware if you like a little but not too much spice.
Overall this was a great place. Perfect for a date night or just out with friends. There have inside seating, under a tent type seating, and deck seating so I highly recommend going on a warm summer Seattle night and siting outside. But be aware it is next to the Main Street through Fremont so lots of noisy cars but if you don’t mind that you’ll love it!
Fantastic thai food, great atmosphere and very good service! I had the Moo Ping bbq pork skewers as an appetizer and these were superb. Great char on them and super flavorful sauce. I had the Pad Kra Pao for a main which was very good as well and came as a generous portion. As a drink I had the tamarid passionfruit soda which went really nicely with the food. Really happy I found this spot while in Seattle—I'll be back.
Delicious Thai food. Ordered a Tamarind Pad Thai with Fresh Spring Rolls and all the ingredients seemed fresh. Decent selection of alcoholic beverages. Has both indoor as well as outdoor seating options with flame heaters on the patio. The service can be improved though. The servers need to be a bit more hospitable. Was accidentally served chicken Pad Thai when I had ordered the Tofu one. They rectified their mistake once notified and brought the original dish ordered.
Top tier restaurant. Delicious food. Quick service.
It is one of the best Thai restaurants I've found in the Seattle area. We (a group of 4) tried several dishes and all of them were delicious. The fried spring rolls were tasty and not too oily. Mango Sticky Rice for the dessert was amazing.
There's plenty of outdoor seating available, and it's pretty nice. Should be easy to find street parking in the adjoining 1-2 blocks.
Level 5 spicy is really really spicy.
Level 4 is alright.

I always really like what I get here, but the other day I also ordered the fried banana with coconut ice cream dessert and holy sh** it rocked my world. house made ice cream- perfect texture with soft coconut chunks in there, crispy sweet and hot banana mannnn i’ve been thinking about it for days.
Always a joy. Good parking, good food, good service, good price.
Updating my review to say that this place still rocks.
Forced to tip for rude service. I guess that's the only way they can get tips is by using less than honest practices.
I stoped by this place before going home and ordered 4 items To Go. It came to $90. I questioned the amount and was told there was a service fee added ($14)... I figured it was a tip so I didn't say anything but when I gave her my visa and then she flipped the screen around it asked how much of a tip I wanted to give. I was confused as that would mean I was charged $14 just to order my food to go. I questioned the fee and she said it was for To Go orders. Hmmm. Food was just ok and the the amount I was given in each to go container was only 3/4 full. I came home and read their reviews and noticed others have had similar complaints for ToGo orders. Is it really worth loosing your customers over a 20% tip? I'm ok tipping even on To Go orders but don't force it on your customers. Geeze, It's a To Go order. You may want to take your reviews on this issue a bit more serious as this seems to be a common complaint. It's not worth loosing customers over and now with servers in Seattle minimum wages about to go to $20.70 an hour in January this "forced" tip policy has no merrit. Let your customers tip according to good service and quality of food. You wold be surprised how much more generous people can be.
Got the garlic chicken and it was alright, 1 star for the automatic 20% tip as a protest
Food wasn't very good. Service was really bad. Pretty disappointed.
Best Thai place around! Love the food and the atmosphere. Always love the hospitality we receive from the staff as well! They never disappoint.
Don’t go there if you don’t want to get charged with the mandatory 20% service fee. There was barely any service and they charged it anyways, and without telling you, they are still trying to charge you with 2%-7% tips. Instead of charging us the 20%, the owner should obviously raise the pay of their employees at least 15%. Outrageous!
It was my first and last time I try this place:
- 20% service/ gratuity fees
- Rude waitresses with “angry” vibe!
- They have the audacity to ask you for a tip!
I don’t care about money, but I don’t tolerate bad service.
The food is okay, the portion is reasonable. But you have to know that this restaurant force 20% tip in the total and the waitress was so rude to us, at the end she came back with the check asking for another tip to add to her! Didn't you force 20% already with your attitude? Basically save your money and energy
The kind of meal that puts you in a great mood. Get the pumpkin curry!
Automatic 20% gratuity not made obvious. Its not the pandemic anymore - put it in the price on the menu or tell before you seat me
Sticky rice was overcooked and mushy, green curry was way too salty. Couldn't even finish it.
Overpriced and also they charge 20% gratuity on everything (and still ask for a tip). Should just raise their prices explicitly.
Service was poor - walked in to get my takeout order and no one was there. Stood around for a few minutes, someone came out of the kitchen, I asked if I can grab my food that was just sitting there under a sign that said you can’t grab it by yourself, he looked at me and walked off silently. Someone else came out of the kitchen a minute later and let me grab my food.
Ended up spending $82 on duck curry, 2 spring rolls, and fried rice. Food was fine but there’s 10 Thai places in spitting distance with better prices.
Very few vegetarian options as compared to other Thai places and the server was unaware of them
Order 2 curries as takeout that I picked up myself. It was $50 as I was informed that tips were already included. Since when we tip for takeout and on top of that since when it’s forced on the consumer? I do sometime tip on takeout when I go often or when order is early when I pick up. Curry was watery. No consistency. I like to support local businesses but not when they are sneaky like that and basic expectations are not there.
Some of the best Thai food in Seattle!
We were not made aware of the 20% service charge. Surely you may have put it in the menu yet I guess it's our fault for not looking for it instead of the actual menu items. No itemized bill was given until asked yet the pay machine sneakily included extra tip amount.
The prices are a lie and not as in the menu. Additionally they added 20% cost, it is unclear why
Friendly atmosphere and a beautiful place to sit down for a Thursday evening dinner. They have a great outdoor space and the food was fresh. My server gave me great recommendations and I am excited that I took her suggestion on the crab rangoon. Would definitely go back sometime soon.
Went here for the first time the other day and it was delicious. I went with family and we all enjoyed our experience! I got the Tom Kha and it was honestly the best Tom Kha I've ever had. Definitely my new favorite joint for Tom Kha in Seattle! It was different, unique - I'm not sure if it was less traditional or more traditional, but the broth was yellow which I'd never seen before and the flavor was so good! Will definitely be back to try more dishes!
They charge a mandatory, default 20% tip on takeout orders which makes a take out Pad See Ew over $21. I can’t afford that and politely said no thank you to the waitress on the phone and she laughed.. Kwanjai right next door is $4 cheaper for the same thing!
We went here to order take out and when we went to pay I was shocked to see a 20% tip on takeout! I looked at other reviews and saw the owner getting snippity about saying someone cooked and boxed your food and it says there is 20% mentions online. We didn’t order online and were not told until we were paying. It seems very underhanded to tack on 20% tip. Why not just raise your prices to what you intend to charge. It is sleazy to pretend your dish is 20$ when you really charge 24$. Just be honest with yourself and your customers!
The food is so good, the portions are huge, and the staff are so friendly. Even with the 20% gratuity the cost of eating here is still cheaper than the other thai places in Seattle. Also! Keisha is the cutest haha, she makes me want to come back again and again
Great food. Nice outdoor seating. Like the daily food specials.
Kaosamai catered our wedding and it was an absolute HIT! Our guests were raving about their delicious Thai food all night long. Tammy was excellent to work with; with so many things to organize for a wedding, it was such a welcome relief to know we didn't need to stress about the food. This place rocks!
Delicious every time! The hoisin sauce their fresh rolls are served with is to die for. So is their yellow curry and tamarind pad thai. Lovely patio for the summer months!
The worst service ever. We came in for 3 to go orders. No mention of a 20 percent service charge already tacked on to the bill. Then handed a tablet with the final amount with 20 percent added. (Tablet prompted me to add a tip! ) If I hadn’t asked I would have been billed 40 percent for a pickup order!! Even though the restaurant was completely empty and I paid a 20 percent service charge, they would not allow us to sit at any empty table and had to wait up front at the entrance. Terrible service!!
It's not bad, but go to Kwanjai down the street for better food and double the portions
The food was delicious, but the service was disappointing. When I asked for an empty glass after being served ice water, the servers were rude and made a big issue out of it. They scolded me for not specifying that I didn't want ice water, even though they never asked in the first place.
Despite being rude and not good at service, they just charge you 20% gratuity.
The food was outstanding, but the service was incredibly disappointing. It felt as though the staff were on a mission to provide the worst experience possible. A little more benevolence and attentiveness from the service team could go a long way in enhancing the overall dining experience. With such great food, it's a shame the service doesn't match.
Good portions and good food. However there is a 20% automatic gratuity even on take out. Will definitely not be picking up food here again with other places not charging gratuity nearby.
The experience would be better if the staff improved their service. Displaying attitude towards customers due to your own staffing problems is unacceptable.
(I came on a Friday afternoon, and there was only one staff member working, as she repeatedly mentioned)
Was going to eat here but they decided they don’t like cash money. I took my business elsewhere. Shame these places wanna limit their clientele
Can you imagine going to the grocery store and being slapped with a 20% service charge, even after ringing yourself up at the self checkout? Or perhaps the hardware store, where they ring you up and bag your groceries? I'd walk out of there FAST. Well, folks, that's Kaosamai these days. 20% Service Charge for Take-out. No server. No waiting on me to take my order. No drink refills. No desert. No Nope. Nope. Maybe they should raise their prices instead of pretending they are charging less?
There are a ton of Thai places to choose from in the area and Kaosamai continues to be my choice. The quality is consistent and the so is their service.
46% total service charge when you do the math.
20% service charge added on to every order. AND this 20% is calculated from your food + tax.
Never tells you before hand nor you can see it on the menu. Deceiving customers.
Delicious mango sticky rice. Cute vibes.
This is the best Pad See Ew I've ever had. The way they cook it gives it a caramelized texture on the rice noodles. Not all soggy like a lot of places. Highly recommend. Staff was friendly and restaurant was clean and bright. I got mine to go but will come back for a sit down meal soon.
The lunch specials are fantastic.
Mandatory 20% service charge rather than raising their prices regardless of party size and for takeout orders. Owner needs to raise your prices and pay your staff accordingly, or make room for a business that will. Downright scummy practices
This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants. The mango salad is incredible. I love the outside seating.
variety of protein and spicy choice
Very sad to say I won't be coming back here. I've been coming here for over 1 year since I live only 3 blocks away. Food is amazing but the server is impatient and rude. This is the second time I receive this sort of energy from the server. I always tipped on top of the 20% included, but today I had to pay 20% even though I didn't want tip at all.
I've probably have 50+ orders here but not coming back.
Very good service. Great indoor and outdoor seating. And very good Thai food. Lots of options and can easily adjust spice level.
Green papaya salad was our table's favorite. Other highlights include the crab fried rice and the pad see ew. I found the tamarind pad thai to be too sweet and not with sour. This was a great restaurant for a large group (13 people) and also celiac friendly. Warm, efficient service with great recommendations. Would recommend and return for more tasty food.
I love this place! The food is delicious, the service is attentive and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
I went here for lunch with a friend who was visiting from out-of-town. We both ate off the lunch combo menu. Everything was great, with fresh, bright flavors and exactly the level of spiciness that I was hoping for: enough to make it felt but not overpowering.
This is easily some of the best Thai food I've ever had. Everything I've had on their menu was excellent.
Our server, Josie, is a member of the family that owns Kaosamai. She was fun and helpful. My friend likes to shop for vintage clothes and Josie gave us great ideas on where to shop.
I've also done take out from here and it is equally as good as when you dine in. And, very important in crowded Fremont, there is parking in the back. Score!
Thank you for a great dining experience! Go eat here!
This place has been around for over a decade. It has always been average - passable food but nothing to write home about; more spice than flavor. Recently, service took a turn for the worse. I was there yesterday with a large group (about 15 people) and they will not do more than two checks per table. We asked for printed menus and we got a few, with a warning that prices may no longer be current on them. We asked for an extra glass of water, and we were told that they had already brought glasses for everyone. The service charge, automatically added to the bill as customary for large groups, was 20%. No problem with the automatic add, but it is rather high for this level of service.
I get the impression that the management thinks that, in the middle of Fremont as they are, customers will come anyway and they don't need to try particularly hard. Maybe they are right.
We've been eating here regularly for a long long time, fifteen years or more. We used to get takeout every other week or so. Recently we noticed the portions were getting really small so we stopped. My kids wanted Thai food and I didn't feel good about takeout so we went for dinner. Three of us, only drinking tap water, one appetizer, Pad Thai, three dishes. The bill was $115. I was expecting $90 or so. I was confused, they never showed me a receipt, they said there was a service charge included. I didn't want to cause a scene so paid and left. Food was excellent as always but we'll just have to explore other places. At $115 each dish had to be $18 to get compulsory tip and tax to be $115 and most Thai places in the area are $11 to $15 per dish. This was my favorite in north Seattle. Too expensive now, no longer recommend. Really dislike the all electronic menu, electronic payment, no receipt, absurd prices combination. Update Feb 2024 Post COVID the prices don't seem as high as before, definitely be aware of the mandatory 20 percent tip charge. Four of us spent $140 last night for soup, three dishes, rice, and three drinks.
The pork skewers and the phad thai with real tamarind sauce were delicious. The service was excellent! I will be going back.
I truly enjoy every dish they cooked! Super delicious and great portion! The only reason why it’s not 5-star is because of the service. Despite the 20% automatic service charge, the server there is usually not attentive. Last time when my friends and I dined there, we all felt awkward and had to ask multiple times to get water. At the end the server didn’t pack my leftover in a to-go box, although she said she would. I was pretty sad that she threw away my yummy leftover! Since then I usually order takeout from this place, they’re just too delicious.
The kitchen staff has been doing a fantastic job!! I do like how the service fee’s charged cause the kitchen team deserves it, but not the servers. I would still recommend this place to my friends but warn them about the service as well as service charge.
This place is Fantastic! Food was amazing! We will be back!
One of my favorite Thai places in the area. I always stop in here when I have the chance! The panang curry is fantastic! The people here are super friendly, and the atmosphere is great! The outdoor patio is also super nice!
Cute restaurant, we had delicious spring rolls, green curry, and pad kee mao
Too spicy and rude server
Kaosamai has some of the most authentic Thai cuisine in the pacific northwest. Everything on the menu is mouth watering and will have you wanting more next week and the week after that. The staff is very friendly with a cozy vibe.
Super good food and excellent service. Had lunch of appts with friends and it was awesome! Love to show up here again!
Great food and amazing service. Definitely check it out!
Da bomb dot come! Awesome food! Awesome people!
Great Pad Thai!
The wontons were yummy! Thanks so much!!
We just ate here the other day and both of us felt it was maybe the best Thai Restaurant we've ever been to! Mostly in regards to the food but the ambiance and service were nothing to complain about.
We started with a nice order of Chicken Satay. Usually get these when at a Thai place but these were a larger portion and for the same or less money than I'm used to. Then, my friend got the Duck Noodle Soup. I usually get Panang Curry but opted to try the Duck Red Curry instead. It was amazing! We both ordered 3 stars which was pretty hot but we could take it. Hotter than 3 stars at most places.
Service was fine. I had requested no bell peppers and to add cashews to my meal and when it was brought out, neither request was honored. Though, when we go the bill, I was charged for the cashew upgrade. I mentioned it to our server though and she promptly took care of it.
I'm thinking we'll need to go back soon because this food was so incredible!
Great restaurant!! Super friendly staff, great atmosphere in and out, chance to meet the owners (awesome), great food. No hesitations recommending!!
Tom Kha soup with chicken was delicious! Husband had the Pa-nang curry - just as good. Wonderful energy about the place. Will definitely be back.
I’ve never dined here. Always ordered take-out. But I can’t even begin to tell you how great their pad Thai is. It’s a MUST. The flavor is just phenomenal and I recommend this place to ALL my friends. 100% one of the best Thai restaurants in Seattle. It’s just WOW
Super good! Plus they were actually good about giving you some serious heat🔥
We enjoyed it very much.
Absolutely fantastic restaurant, the staff was nice and attentive. Neau Nam salad (please excuse my spelling) was amazing, one of the best dishes I've eaten in quite a while, and one I'll travel an hour and a half to get again. 5 star oh so spicy, and amazing
Delicious Thai! The food was very authentic and the service was very friendly.
Kaosamai is always one of our favorite spots in town. Their curries and rice dishes are always spectacular - may be a little on the pricier side but that’s normal for fantastic Thai food! Staff is always friendly and attentive. I love to support a business that wants to support its workers! Thanks for so many delicious meals over the years, we love you!
Best Thai food in Seattle. Awesome family run business.
great pad thai and great curry
Sooo good wow you have to go here
Great food! One of the few places you can get real spicy Thai food. Ask for Thai spicy if you're looking to really burn your face off. They will not remake it if it's too spicy so proceed with caution 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Food can be 4 stars but mostly 3.5, pork with sweet savory sauce is tasty and yellow curry excellent. Specials are usually better.
My favorite Thai restaurant. Where I take everybody. I love the phad see ew, the fresh rolls, and the panang curry.
I got the panang curry and mango sticky rice for lunch with friends. Atmosphere was nice at our outdoor table—it was nicely shaded and not too noisy. I like the presentation of curry in deep bowls with a tall saucer. One thing I do wish was for a bigger portion of rice. The side of rice was so little, we had half the curry left and no more rice, and same with my friends who ordered curry. Mango sticky rice was delicious—reasonable sized portion and mangoes were perfectly ripe without too much added condensed milk sweetener.
Minus one star for mandatory 20% gratuity regardless of party size. Just increase the menu prices instead.
Wow!
What a let down, I’ve always raved about the food but today was a big disappointment.
Chicken Pad thai had very little chicken which was too sweet.
Along with the price increase with a 20% service charge, I’ll be looking elsewhere because the quality of food and prices is not worth it.
Lastly on my way out the door, a party of 5 had come in and one of the gentlemen asked if they were open because I was the only one in there and the hostess said yes “ we’re open” after being seated I overheard the gentleman say this place is usually crowded.
We’ll after getting his food and being hit with that 20% service charge (party of 5) about $40 plus, he’ll have his answer to why the place is not crowded.
Food is very fresh. Tamarind Phad Thai is a nice lighter version of a traditional Phad Thai dish. The roasted cashews I'm the Curry Fried Rice is quite good. Service was prompt and courteous. Has both indoor seating and covered outdoor seating. Staff checked in regularly. On a busy street, so a bit louder outdoors, but not outrageously loud. Nice and quiet inside.
-Seated quickly, though we arrived later than rush hour
-Familiar Thai dishes on menu
-Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks
This place popped up on google maps when I searched for Thai. We arrived for dinner and the neighborhood was buzzing with music. It offer both indoor and outdoor seating options. We ordered peaflower soda, prawn spring rolls, giow tawt, gai yang and phad bai kaprao kai dow. The wontons were delicious. The spring rolls were fresh and the peanut sauce that came with it was tasty. The bbq chicken was amazing. It was beautifully cooked. The fried rice was tasty and spicy. The soda was tangy and refreshing.
This is my favorite Thai food in the city! The pumpkin curry and mamas noodles are my go-tos. Great atmosphere and service too!
So so good
20% tip for takeout is not acceptable. Used to like this food but not coming again because of this policy.
Update on the response: if you feel your workers are doing a great job, please do pay them well rather than forcing people to give tips. Or why not increase the rates to make it fair ? I am not against giving tips and I give 20% when I like the service. What is the service I received for takeout here to give a tip ? Anyways not coming back to restaurant or to your food trucks.
20% 강제팁
The food is really good in this place, however, customer service is quite rude. If you are hungry, is a good option, but just order your food and leave. They already charge a service fee (which I don't understand why if this is pretty mediocre).
Decent food but shady pricing practice. Impose 20% surcharge/service fee on ALL order, including take out. Not disclosing anywhere until I pay for it. Would understand if this is dine in, but take out? Cmon
The food is always delicious, they have a great outdoor patio and nice indoor seating, and a little parking lot! But I would give an extra 5 stars to the employees if I could! While parked in their lot, my car battery died. When I alerted their staff they immediately offered to help — within minutes an incredibly kind employee successfully jump-started my car using his own equipment. So grateful, thank you!!!
Best Thia food around
Service charge of 20% (even on Takeout) is outrageous as it is, then Josie says dine elsewhere, if you do not like it. Boycott this Den of mediocrity, leading to their closure. Their contempt for customers is revolting.
Great patio delicious Thai food
20% gratuity for takeout AFTER taxes. Almost $12 tip for walking in and picking up food. Then, I got aggressive, bad attitude when I wanted to cancel my order. You should warn people about your tip scam for call in orders too. The only reason I didn't cancel my order and opted to leave the tip is because I can't waste food and I knew I wouldn't be coming back. It is not the responsibility of the general public to pay workers' wages. Raise your prices or bail out.
Best Thai food in Fremont
I was ordering for takeout when the service staff told me the price of the bill I reacted surprised because I knew the subtotal in my head. Only when I asked how can that be? She replied oh there is an automatic 20 percent service charge for all takeout orders. You should have told me before I told you what I wanted to order.. wasted my time and yours.. just for a chance to scam me an extra 12 dollars.. sad really
Really great food. Automatic 20% tip applied, which they tell you about upfront. My only complaint is that their curry dishes don’t come with rice - you have to order it as a side for $3. Most other places you go to include rice with their dishes for no extra charge.
Half a star is being generous. Since when does a "A 20% service charge has been added to your bill, all of which will be distributed amongst staff" apply to a TAKE-OUT order!
A. If you can't pay competitive wages to your staff, increase prices and I'll choose to take my business elsewhere.
B. Service charge for what service!?
Stay away!
Friendly wait staff and DELICIOUS food! Portions are huge too 🤤
Highly recommend the duck noodle soup (Guay Tiew Bed) it’s so flavorful and just the right blend of spices and tang.
Prices are good though there’s an automatic 20% service fee from each diner to maintain providing competitive staff wages, which I hugely respect!👏🏻
Pros:
• huge portions
• authentic Asian cuisine
• delicious soup bases
• they make the effort to pay their employees equitably
Nice sunny patio. Their lunch special is a really good deal.
This place is so good. The staff was great too. There are a bunch of vegan options. I had accidentally ordered something not vegan and one of the chefs came up to let me know and helped me change it so it could be vegan. That was so kind and unexpected. We got fresh spring rolls, pad Thai, mama noodles (rice noodles instead), and kao tom mud.
They warn you, but those heat levels are real. I can handle spicy but I don't think I could do more than level 2.
Incredible Thai food and good atmosphere.
WARNING: We got take out and were automatically charged 20% for tip without option. Payed $40 for 2 bowls of soup.
I am aware of where tips go, I used to work in the restaurant business. Staff gets paid wages and someone who orders takeout shouldn’t be charged 20% service fee for no additional service. 10/10 not coming back.
Very tasty and spicy. We had great service too and the prices were actually quite reasonable.
I love this place! Their menu has a great list of rotating seasonal dishes and drinks, and they offer a few dishes I haven't found at other Thai restaurants. Their food is fresh and their waitstaff has made my dining experience even more lovely. :)
Good, but they add gratuity right off the bat.
If I can give 0 star I would give 0. When I payed I was told 20% tip was applied I was so confused about this mandatory percentage of tip. We are just 2 people having lunch here. Nothing special. I don’t know why I need to pay 20% tip. I will never come back. Ridiculous service…
Came here a few weeks ago. Their food truck is great but I hadn't made it to their actual restaurant yet. Super excellent thai food and very lovely staff. Looking forward to my next dinner with them and trying their curry!
My partner loves spicy and orders at 4 out of 5 stars in heat, so if you want heat, this is (apparently) a great place to go. I do *not* like heat, and my mild dish was perfect!
We had the taro fritters (definitely would eat again, def enough for two), the tom kha soup (not as creamy as I usually prefer, but still very very tasty), my partner got pad thai (and was happy as usual), and I got phad see ew (which was big and had plenty of veggies).
Pad Thai was really bad like they used ketchup. Also ordered the pad kee mao, noodles were broken up. Ordered from their website for pickup, they put an automatic gratuity in the bill of 20% but also expected an additional tip. Would not recommend this place to anyone and not sure how they got such great ratings on Google. Must have paid for it.
Friendly to make most dishes vegan. And great flavour. Love having a Thai a place that has many offerings. Also, a good local beer list.
best pad see iew ive ever had. great service.
This place is awesome! Great staff, great food!
I was really impressed with the Larb Gai. I can't wait to come back and try it again!
The best Thai in seattle, which is saying something
I was gonna order food but they charge a service charge on top of the price of food. Very misleading.
Went here for lunch and the food was great. Has a little more variety than your typical Thai restaurant. If you have a pup they allow them on the patio.
Decent food, but automatic required 20% service charge for take out is not reasonable
Best thai in fremont hands down.
We were regulars here getting take out every week all through Covid. First they started with increasing the prices of each dish (10-15%) Covid charge something initially few months back and now they charge 20% service charge upfront, even on takeout. We still would get food from here, not as often though( twice in the last 5 months). but we observe that their taste has not been consistent. today we got burnt curry fried rice, so we are definitely not going back here anytime soon.
Same order was around $30(including tip) and now the same order costs $39. I think overall increase of 25-30% in cost in the last 1 year or so. I think this is just too much and I saw few other comments citing the same. Management should look into this as I am sure they are losing their regulars due to this.
Very very poor overall service for automatically adding a gratuity.
No mention of this on any signs or anything that gratuity is added.
Not many people in the restaurant.
Had to seat myself then no one came up for my order.
Had to walk up to the server having a conversation with her friends to order.
Thinking they forgot my order because it took over 45 minutes.
Came and filled my water cup when I was finally ready to go.
Once again had to find walk up to a server to get my check and a box to go.
Oh, it was truly a wonderful dining experience. The spectacular explosions of flavor will keep me coming back again and again. Service was exceptional!
Cute Thai restaurant with a wonderful outdoor space and ambience. Food was very good, although made one dish more spicy than what was requested, so unfortunately that dish was not enjoyed to its fullest potential.
They have some parking for customers if you come early enough to find a spot. Another perk is they have gluten free options.
They are a bit spendy compared to others in area. They also add on a 20% service charge, which wasn't told until paying, so it felt a bit deceptive since that is not a normal unoptional charge for resturants to charge to any size party. That being said, the servers were very on top of things and very good and we felt very taken care of so it was well earned.
Overall based on our experience, I would recommend this resturant to others.
One of my favorite spots in the 'hood! Great cuisine and always very friendly service.
Service was okay, food was okay. The issue was that they overcharged me and my friends around $90 total; saying we got six of something we got just one of. Go there if you would like, but please look over your receipt.
For reference, this happened just earlier this month.
Delicious food, we loved the chicken satay! Lots of gluten free options, most of the menu can be made without gluten! Staff was awesome and knowledgable about allergens!
Great service, great food, and they have parking in this town. All unique qualities in Seattle.
