I have eaten here for years and was always my favorite until now. We ordered our food as always and upon my child eating there’s we found glass chunks (multiple) in the meal. Called and told them about it due to concern for others and all we were told is we can’t refund you but we will remake it. I am sorry my child ate glass why would I want more food! I understand things happen and sometimes come packaged with contamination but at least be more helpful and concerned about the fact that your customer, a child ate glass!
UPDATE: was contacted and the situation was handled very well. I was assured that it must have been suppliers issue as they do not use glass inside the restaurant. I understand completely that that can and does happen, have been in that situation myself. The food is wonderful here and the situation was handled nicely when it reached the owner of establishment. Thank you.
Overall rating: 3.33/5
Service: 4/5
Quality of food: 3.5/5
Value/Portion: 2.5/5
Would come again: maybe
The food here is great and tasty, but the portions are pretty small and prices are on the expensive side, which makes the overall value of the restaurant not appealing. If the prices are a little lower it would be more perfect. I think there are probably better value Thai restaurants in Augusta.
Sawasdee is in a building attached to Wings Plus in the Carolina Pottery plaza. The restaurant is nice inside, but I ordered take out. The take out order only took 10 minutes to be ready, which was unexpectedly quick! I ordered the cucumber salad and pad Thai.
The pad Thai didn't taste authentic, but it was good enough. The portion was surprisingly small as well and I was worried I wouldn't be full, but after finishing the cucumber salad and pad Thai, I was satisfied. I enjoyed the salad, as it was a refreshing compliment to my pad Thai. The salad is dressed in fish sauce, which I am used to, but may be very different for those who aren't used to the flavor and smell.
It was the worst Thai food I have ever had. My pho didn't even taste like pho. The papaya was super plain and my springs Rolls had raw cabbage in it, which I did not like. We sat and got our food then basically left. We spent roughly $140 for 3 of us and also got a $7 charge on there, which we couldn't figure out what that charge was for.
Incredible authentic Thai food. Very very pleased with this place. I’m super picky about how my ginger chicken taste and this exceeded my expectations. It was wonderful. Everything was wonderful. I will say I didn’t taste that much basil in the fried rice BUT it was still so good.
Fantastic dishes. They grow their own herbs. Green Curry is out of the world good!
I order the meatball Pho everytime I eat here and I orderied it today and they’ve changed the meatball recipe. It’s terrible and bland since they switched the meatball from beef to flavorless chicken. The waitress didn’t even give a courtesy heads up. I could tell that the beef meatballs were well seasoned, these chicken meatballs were just chunks of non-seasoned ground meat. That was the only dish I go there for. The waitress said they changed it b/c some people don’t eat beef? That was the craziest excuse. Won’t be returning.
First time visiting and it was very good
Food is good but a little pricey and portions are too small.
Nice clean spot. The food was good but the level of spice when ordering "Thai Hot" on my drunken noodles was super underwhelming.

Fair warning- medium is quite hot!
Comfortable, with great service.
One of the best Thai restaurants in CSRA. I live the pad Thai noodles.
Excellent!! Highly recommend!!
I can't believe nobody has told me about this place. IT IS SO GOOD. Try all the things. Go crazy. I, personally, could eat the coconut chicken soup every day for the rest of my life.
Came in with a group of friends and ordered the spring rolls, pineapple kao pad, and the mango sticky rice. Everything was delicious and came out quickly as well! The vibes were really good in there as well! The portion sizes are a good size as well! Will definitely be returning!
Great tasting food, and very affordable. Perfect portions. Great spot to return to for a quick delicious bite.
Super spicy the way I like it. Great flavors!
Amazing Thai restaurant 👏🏽 The food is delicious and the service is great! The atmosphere is like coming home or to a warm, inviting place.
Always a good experience here. Food is always good, but kind of small portions. And medium heat is actually spicy (and I LOVE spice)! Gotta be built different for the Thai hot. Great lunch prices. Pad thai is good. Love the Jasmine rice dishes. I love every curry they make. Red, green, massaman, and panang curries.
Food was alright, but extremely overpriced for the tiny portion I received. You can get the same quality with much more quantity for less money at every single other Thai restaurant in the Augusta area.
So I wish the prices had not increased for lunch. The dinner prices at lunch is taking some getting used to... but I love this place.
service was good. Tough to get in with wheelchair, no access or ramp into building, just stairs. Waitress was attentive and kind food was good.
Thank you letting me know about the ramp we didn't see it. So that is on us. Thanks you for responding and I'm sorry we didn't see it.
Great food and one of our favorite servers anywhere.
Friendly, but they got our to-go order wrong, and it was not one of the better Thai restaurants we have been to. I actually didn’t think it was possible to mess up pad kee mao and pad thai, but alas, it is. Try someplace else if you’re in Augusta.
The food is very good but it is expensive and portions are very very small. I am a little saddened by it as I do love their food but almost $20 after tax and tips for lunch with a small portion is too much for me to be eating there regularly
Delicious: Gaeng Karie, Pad Thai & Thai Tea. Quick service. Great customer service! Quaint/peaceful atmosphere.
Really good just overpriced for the portions.
I’ve been eating here since 2017 when they were near Aiken,SC. The food was good then started tasting terrible. That’s is when they relocated to Augusta Ga. So we went to the new location. Only up to the last 2 months I began getting disappointed in the food once again. Twice the price, half the portions and the flavor has diminished.
Looking for a new Thai restaurant
No I am not confused it’s the same establishment . It was located on 421 painted purple. It had a sign in the window relocating to Augusta Ga with the exact same address where located now. Maybe your Augusta
Location was already opened and you close the location on 421. I’ve been a fan of Thai for 30 years. My memory is very clear! Thank you.
Love! love! love!
Tried this place out about a month ago...and let's just say I'm a regular now! I have been back 3-4 times since then. Great food, nice cozy atmosphere, awesome staff!
I love this restaurant. I’ve enjoyed their food for many years. I used to dine with them when they had their restaurant on 421.
I love when I get the chance to eat here. The food has always been so delicious and everyone is always so friendly.
I’ve tried multiple items on the menu and have never been disappointed. 10/10
It’s my first time visiting, fell so disappointed! I ordered pad Thai, mango sticky rice and chicken satay. The price is very high, and they charge 1.5 take out fee? Seriously? Take out fee? The food is lack of flavor, the portions is way too small. It can’t even fit a kid. I would give 0 star if it’s possible. Worst restaurant I have ever been in my life.
I really like this place. The flavors are dynamite!
It's a struggle finding authentic food in Augusta. Ignore the 4.2 stars, this place is legit. I had the green coconut curry and it was amazing. This is the place to go if you want to experience something delicious and new!
My husband and I ate here tonight on a whim while we were out and about shopping. We ordered the chicken satay and gyoza for appetizers, and they came out super fast and fresh. Our entrees were delicious, and our server was very sweet.
I’m so disappointed in the experience we had at this restaurant today. We thought we would give it a try since we were in the area and the reviews looked okay. First the good part. We were seated right away by the waitstaff. They checked on us frequently while we decided what we wanted. It took less than 5 minutes to get our fried spring roll appetizer then we ordered our dinner choices at that point. The rolls were marginal. Just raw cabbage and carrot to be fair it’s exactly what the menu description said. The dinner came out in about 5 minutes which is a little alarming thinking about this now considering one was a stir fry dish with chicken. To start the cashew chicken had literally one tablespoon of actual chicken bits in it and 2 slivers of green peppers. There were a few onion pieces and some canned water chestnuts in an oily sauce and a cup of rice for 16.00. The other dish was the real issue. It was yum soon sen, bean thread salad of which I have eaten dozens and dozens of times all over the country. When it arrived the smell of sour spoiled fish permeated the area. I love GOOD fish sauce and this wasn’t that. It was bad and I mean spoiled. The salad was a cup and a half of noodles onions a few pieces of tomatoes and some pork bits. The pork bits were dry like jerky and hard and tasted like spoiled meat and refrigerator air. I got the waitstaff’s attention and politely told her the meat was spoiled and I wasn’t going to eat it and didn’t want anything else. We asked for the check and when it arrived we were told only 50% was taken off for the 16.00 dish that was inedible and that was policy. I told them that I didn’t agree to pay for something inedible and could I speak to the manager. A woman came out with fire in her eyes. She told me we had to pay for what we ordered. I told her it was not edible and I didn’t want to pay for spoiled food. She was argumentative and very upset and insisting that we pay that the food was fine and that I ate it. I told her I tasted a couple of small bites and couldn’t eat any more than that it was rotten. She argued loudly with us making up things we said in front of the other guests over a cup and a half of literal scraps. The sad lack of respect and customer service was just completely upsetting and then she added we could never come back ! Did she honestly think we would step back in this place with service like this? Save your time and money and go elsewhere. *Edited to add the restaurant put a very lengthy response with excuses for everything but didn’t mention the main reason for this review which was the terrible treatment by the angry owner. I stand by my review 100%
I like Thai food and they have great Thai food.
Solid food but very small portions for the price. Food was delicious. I got beef curry and spring rolls and they tasted great. Only issue was there wasn't much beef in the curry. Restaurant looks really cool though.
Yummy pad Thai, wish the portion size was bigger though
Amazing food! Amazing service!
5 Year Update: My husband and I revisited Sawadee today after 5 years and everything has only gotten better.
We had 4 different dishes plus dessert and each were fresh and tasty. The service was awesome as well the waitress was very attentive, patient and informative.
1. Coconut Soup
2. Veggie Thai Pho
3. Veggie Spring Rolls
4. (al T8) Jasmine Rice & Curry Veggies
5. Sweet Mango Rice
We will definitely be returning, as the menu is very vegan friendly and we’re always looking for a spot to have a nice brunch or dinner.
Absolutely amazing curry for an affordable price. Never once had a bad meal from here. Staff is super friendly and welcoming and the green curry Thai hot is definitely life changing🔥🔥💯
SHORT VERSION: amazing service, amazing food, completely reasonable and normal prices for this kind of food and completely standard portions (larger than average portions for the curry).
Long version: I don't know what food court level Thai places these other reviewers are going to, or where to start dispelling the things I read. I almost didn't eat here based on some of the reviews. Here's my experience:
I, a white guy, ordered the Som Tum, which is a traditionally really spicy dish, and I asked for it authentically Thai spicy, the way the cooks would make it for themselves. This got the the eyebrow it always gets, so I explained what I always do, which is that I've had this many times, I know what I'm asking for, and I won't ask for a refund. I also got the coconut soup, which was fantastic.
The som tum was great! And really spicy, just like I asked for. The server, who was super nice, asked how the spice level was, and I truthfully said I've had hotter but it's really good. She offered to take it back and add more spice! I only said no because my nose was about to be running, and that's uncomfortable in a restaurant. But super nice of her to offer! I want to be clear: it wasn't just hot for the sake of being hot. It was also just made well and really flavorful.
*Edit: I just remembered the review saying "the papaya (som tum) was bland." I have to assume they ordered it mild, which is not what that dish is supposed to be.*
I also ordered a certain curry, which she warned me isn't generally made very spicy. Catering to what her customers appear to like! I'm highlighting that because I read something about bad service, which is bananas. I asked her to kick it up just a little bit in heat, and substituted duck and squid for the protein. She warned me that would be $8 more, which is not only clearly stated on their menu, but pretty much exactly what every Thai place charges extra for those two proteins.
Then the curry came out and was roughly 4 times more food than I was expecting, given the reviewers on here. Do you guys get your Thai food from cheesecake factory? Where the portion sizes make up for the below average food? By the way, the curry was also great.
Look, if you're looking to gain weight on a budget, your first thought shouldn't be Thai food. If you like Thai food for what it actually is, you should go here.
If I could give it zero stars, I would. The food,Chicken wings and duck meat was really really bad, smells rotten and not fresh…Too expensive compared to the quality...I think that's why there are no customers.I will Never go backs
FOOD POISONING WARNING.
Ordered two dishes of fried rice that came out too salty and with wet rice (both times). Asked for them to be re-done. Was less salty but the strange part was that the cook(?) brought out the new dishes. The waitress was helping another guest, but there were only two tables in the whole restaurant. So it felt a little vindictive as both of us are suffering from food poisoning. My boyfriend has a much more severe case of it, enduring it for the past 3 days.
Update: got sent to the ER
Service and atmosphere was great but the money for the portion isn't worth it. I ordered yellow curry, the curry was very soupy. My husband ordered a Pad Ped very small portion too and tasted fishy. Vegetables didn't look very fresh either.
Best Thai food in CSRA Hands down
I've been here 3 times since moving to Augusta. The portion sizes compared to other Thai restaurants are definitely smaller.
Flavor of the curry was good. What’s not so great is the portion size proportional to the price. I understand that we should support local restaurants, but 19$ (inclusive of tax and tip) for a small curry with legitimately 6-8 pieces of protein is a bit of a rip-off by any standard. Additionally, the rice is low quality; in fact, i think it’s the type of rice made in America and used for gravies not Thai curries and you get only a scoop of it. Overall, I am pretty disappointed. If you’re struggling to look for some Thai food in this town devoid of culinary diversity, go here, but if you’re looking to be generally satisfied, i’d recommend elsewhere.
The soups were delicious. I only sampled an appetizer and soup, but plan on going back to try some more.
This place is legit. Every time your gonna get good food and decent pricing. They are fast and efficient. This is my top 2 choice for Thai in Augusta.Thai Kitchen would be number 1.
Great place just that its really expensive!
The food and service is always on point kinda small portions on the fried rice though, but other than that it's delicious.
I was visiting from Atlanta, I order the Duck it was not good and you could hardly find the duck in the meal.
Very good papaya salad. Real Thai food.
Quality is good, but small quantities for a high price
I frequent Sawasdee and their food is absolutely incredible. It's got a diverse amount of dishes and protein for you to choose from. I always get the Massaman chicken curry and there's a dish made with glass noodles. I've had it with chicken and beef. Both were super tasty. I recommend this restaurant to everyone I know. I love this place. ♡♡♡♡♡
Always have a wonderful experience while I am there and they take you seriously when you say you want your food hot and spicy. Great food and great people.
Poor service, rip off prices and very small portion size.
$15-$17 for pad thai, really. Its not fine dining its cheap eats. Server making faces when we said dine in. Never eating here again
I happen to be in Martinez and just wanted to get some thai food to take home. I asked about the food serving size and was told that it came in a plate, not a bowl. I will NEVER go back to this place. The taste was okay, but the portion size for the price was ridiculous, along with the additional $1.50 take out charge. I'm going to stick with Mai Thai in Evans GA on Washington Rd, for the price and quality. See (pictured) the take out portion size compared to the empty container received from Mai Thai for the same order.
Best and most authentic Thai restaurant in Augusta. Service was amazing and the drunken noodle and green curry were amazing. We asked for Thai hot and the food was actually spicy!
Love their service and the food is amazing. I am looking forward to coming back bringing my friends and family.
Worse Thai food I ever had.
I ordered Som Tam it was so sweet and not come with vegetables,
Pad See Ew got the same color as Pad Thai, tastes like they use the same sauce. (Pad See ew usually dark colors because have dark soy sauce in it but this was yellowish/orange)
I like Lad Nah it was only dish that tasted like real food.2 stars for lad nah
Every town I visited ( Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Denver,Monterey,Montana,San Antonio, San Francisco, San Diego, Portland,New York, and Thailand ) We tried to tryout all Thai restaurant. We ate it because the food portions are very very small. We just move here from California and we’re surprise with the prices at this restaurant it’s very very high compared to the portion. I have been work in Thai restaurant for years before and in my opinion I think this place is not authentic not worth the money.
This was our second times because we thought some one had a bad day in the kitchen but I guess not. we’re not coming back.
I found this place quite by accident while getting sandwiches for dinner for the family.
I just went back again. They have the best Pad Thai of the several I've tried around town.
I love this place, the food is always amazing BUT the service is typically horrible! The little old lady is so rude, she never greats you and will have you sitting forever without asking for drink orders or even acknowledging your presence. I have been craving Thai all week, we sat down for 15 min with no service and she ended up completely forgetting about us and serving new ppl that walked in. None the less we walked out
First time being there. Got the pad ped talay. got home and boy did it taste good. Definitely like to have some more. Atmosphere was nice and the waitress was pleasant
We happened upon this place accidentally- driving around looking for a new place to dine. Everything was delicious and the service was fast and pleasant. This seems to be a family owned restaurant and has all of the humble authenticity that comes with that distinction. We will be returning.
Always great, today is no exception. I am reviewing it today because the service was really fast. My lunch special, Pad Prik, was excellent and tasty. We also shared Thai Dumplings for the first time and they were delicious. The server was very pleasant. Overall, every time we ate here was tasty and enjoyable.
Best Pad Woon Sen in town. Highly recommend the shrimp coconut soup too!!
Roaches lol. What more can I say. I wanted to love this place but after some poor service and table visits from 6 legged residents I had to go. Prices very high for what it is.
My husband ordered the duck with chili sauce. It was not fresh and so gamey that neither of us could stomach it. We attempted to order a different dish and was told that we would be charged for the Duck dish as well so we didn't order anything for him. The owner glared at us with a frown. Then later came back and reduced it by 10%. I will not dine here again.
I will NEVER spend my money here. I went in and asked if I could fill my jug up cause my car is overheating. They literally said if you’re not a paying customer, then no. Are you serious? I know y’all might not believe in my GOD but I hope for yalls sake … you never need help . Karma, what goes around comes around
Great food for a great price!
It was decent, I guess. Not the worse i’ve ever had.
We ordered a Tom Yum soup with shrimp, shrimp fried rice, a papaya salad, and a pad thai to go.
We payed over $40 dollars with tip and that wouldn’t of been so bad if it weren’t for the portion size. Sure, it would of been enough if it were a meal at home but since this was a restaurant we expected more. The portions felt unsatisfactory, for example we only got 2-4 shrimps each for the soup and the fried rice. Why so stingy? It wasn’t as if they were jumbo shrimp? And the noddles from the pad thai were soggy, they’ve been cooked in the sauce for too long.
We usually go to Thai Kitchen in Evans for Thai food but ended up here this time since it was closer. But we were disappointed.
Anyways it’s not too bad but could of been better. 3/5 stars
Very vegan friendly, good food and nice atmosphere
The best Thai food in Augusta, hands down. Try the sawasdee spring rolls and the spicy noodles. The wait staff is also wonderful.
Great flavor, but the portion size is quite small for the price. I would expect the price to be around $8-9 for how small these are. But flavor and spice is great. Ordering Thai-Spicy is very manageable.
Typically, I do not write Reviews for service I get, but felt complelled to write this one. There is only one person, probably owner herself, hosting, serving, cleaning and billing . No greetings, no smile, just rushing to take orders. Food was good but small servings. May be good for take out.
This place was not very good. The food did not taste authentic or flavorful or fresh. The server was also not very friendly and the portions were poorly sized. It felt overpriced for cheap tasting food. Just disappointing overall, sadly.
The best Thai food I’ve had stateside! Delicious!
Out waitress was Natalie and she was great very attentive and on top of everything.
+Great flavors and portions
+Kids food comes out first
+Thai tea was on point
-if i had to pick a negative i wish the curry was on a larger surface area bowl so it can cool off better and I have more space for activities on my plate.
Had lunch here with hubby on a Monday. We've been trying to find good authentic places to eat in the area and this is definitely a good spot! We were served by Natalie (sorry if not the right spelling) and she was sweet. Food service was quick and great spicy flavor. Would come here again! :D
Best Thai restaurant in Augusta. Everything is authentic. And when they warn you that it’s Thai hot. believe them!
Excellent service and taste..
Small portions but tea is good
not too expensive
perfect for family dinner
very friendly
It was AMAZING! The food WAS DELICIOUS and the servers were very nice. I LOVE this place and I hope you do too!
If you like spicy food their Thai hot will leave you unsatisfied and unfulfilled. It was the mildest spices for Thai hot I've had in my life.
Everything else was sub par.
I should have refused the order. They charge $15 for the noodles and give you a small plate that is half empty. I've seen kids meal that is more generous than this.
Edited: Bottle of water was not included in the order but for size comparison. I suspect it would've been $3 and half empty if you buy from the restaurant, based on how they make business revenue.
These guys are not to be trusted. I ordered two particular dish and I received the same meal for both. When I brought to there attention they got mad and refused to make things right.
Sawasdee is in a building attached to Wings Plus in the Carolina Pottery plaza. The restaurant is nice inside, but I ordered take out. The take out order only took 10 minutes to be ready, which was unexpectedly quick! I ordered the cucumber salad and pad Thai.

We've been coming to Sawasdee for years, and it's as delicious as always! If you're looking for a yummy noodle dish, their Pad Kee Mao is the best I've ever had! If you don't have time to stop in for a full meal, grab a thai tea and some sweet rice with mango. The staff are also amazing!
I went here yesterday and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a restaurant recently. We called in the order and when we walked in the hostess greeted us very politely and told us our food would be ready soon. In less than two minutes the food was handed to us and it was piping hot. The pad Thai and the gyozas were phenomenal and I would 100% recommend.
Awesome Thai Food! We stopped by on our way through Augusta and it was a perfect place to eat. The food was super fresh and had a great taste. My husband likes super spicy food and it met his needs. It got my meal medium and it was perfect. My girls enjoyed the cashew nut chicken. The waitress was very nice, refilled our drinks multiple time, and the food came out quickly. We will be stopping by again.
As a Nak muay practitioner I’ve always wanted to try Thai food and have a Thai experience and this place has reallllyyyy great food everything was perfect and I enjoyed the service there as well. Can’t wait until I actually go to Thailand one day but for now this gave me a little experience of Thailand ! I would recommend this place 10/10 !
Placed a to go order of a noodle dish. The quantity was very less, def not $15 worth
I purposely ordered my order ahead of time they said it will be 30 mins and asked for my phone number to distinguish the orders, apparently someone came in had the same order and instead of verifying phone number they gave the order away so when i got here to get my order they said they gave it away. Instead of offering discount (we asked) for the inconvenience of having to wait 30+ plus mins again they said they don’t give discounts but you would think for them screwing up they could’ve at least took $5 dollars of and $30 tab smh
Food was cooked to order. My first visit. Excellent service, with good food.
Great Thai tea
So I decided to try this place since it's a little closer than the places I typically prefer in Evans or Aiken. Honestly speaking this is the worst Thai food I have ever had out of the dozens of places I have dined across the country. The food was merely edible. Not awful, but certainly not good by any stretch of the imagination. The prices are comparable to other restaurants in the area, but the servings are a little smaller. It's not a drastic difference. The largest concern is definitely the flavor of which I'm no fan. I will not return here.
Love this place! Their curry is really yummy and my husband loves their fried rice. Highly recommend!
The portion is too tiny for dinner. It looks like lunch compare to other restaurant.
Best Thai food I have had in a while. This is above average for sure!
I wish I could have given zero stars.. I tried this place because I like Thai food and it had some pretty good reviews... First, the service was unpleasant as the waitress wasn't welcoming and seemed uninterested in attending to us our whole visit.. Second, the food wasn't good at all.. it was actually nasty to me.. We ended up ordering 3 plates of supposed to be different types of fried rice but they all looked the same and were equally nasty... The very little bit of meat they did put in looked raw still and the overall meal wasn't flavorful at all.. Last and most upsetting was the price!! So we had 3 soft drinks, 1 order of spring rolls, and 3 plates of fried rice and my bill came out to $90... I am not joking! They don't even tell you refills aren't free and we ended up paying like $27 just for refills.. that was ridiculous because when our cups would get not even to half the waitress would fill them without us asking... She did this twice for all 3 of our drinks so that's how it racked up on price.. someone should tell them if you are going to charge a refill price it's only fair to get a " full refill "... I was so upset leaving this place.. I got ripped off and the food and service was bad.. I will NEVER go back!! I don't understand how this place got any good reviews.. And yes it was your restaurant!! I'm not confused or stupid.. What a way to protect your reputation by accusing the customer of getting things wrong.. I know what restaurant I went to and yes, this restaurant charged me $27 for refills..
Always love eating here. The staff is always friendly and able to explain specific dishes. Service is quick and there is time to enjoy your appetizer before they bring your meal.
First off friendly staff and clean place. I have only.ordered one dish there. PAD KA-NA my reicpt says $12.91 but I ordered large tea after my meal was ready to go plus $6 tip. All in all $24.95. The meal was so so as of taste. Says came with beef. Well the old term back in the day. WHERES THE BEEF? There was solo little beef I was insulted. I could have put all the meat into a shot glass and still had room left. I will go back to try another meal. But if they donthis AGIAN I will give a bad bad review and never go back. The amount of beef was laughable..next time I will take a photo of the meal. When I mean very little beef I mean it. Not a shot glass full.
Great food. Just a bit small one portion sizes.
I am so glad that we found this place. I had the green curry. Yum. Hubby had Pad Thai. Yum again. Curry puffs are deliciously home made. Service was great. Dessert was awesome. Top score in my book.
Great authentic Thai food!!!
They really go out if their way to include the lease possible amount of protein in their dishes to save on cost. Few pieces of chicken drowning in sauce dish or three shrimps in the whole shrimp soup. Kind of cheap if you ask me.
Response to owner: I did not come in on a busy day. I came in midday when there was no one In The restaurant. I don’t think it matters how busy it is if you choose not to put enough protein in the dishes. Some places put more, others (like yours) put less. Its just frustrating ordering chicken massaman curry and getting soup with very few pieces of chicken and potatoes. That’s just my observation and I have ordered at your restaurant several times.
UPDATE: I honestly don't know how this restaurant puts Authentic in their name and claims the food is "just like in Bangkok" when what they serve honestly tastes just like a saltier and spicier version of Chinese food. Yes that is my opinion. However, it's one thing when customers differ in tastes and in opinions on certain dishes, but it's a whole other thing when a restaurant claims they are authentic when they don't even follow authentic recipes! Throwing a bunch of salt in your entrees and sugar in your Thai tea and calling it authentic doesn't cut it for those people who are used to good, Thai food. I would not have posted this last review of my last visit to this restaurant if the owner had not been rude and defensive of her "Thai" tea. I love Thai people and their amazing and flavorful food, this restaurant is just not my cup of tea.
I thought the portion size was small then I took a bite and understood this is so rich and flavorful and just plain excellent. I couldn't finish, I was full before I knew it and had to take home half for later.
Amazing curry, great service.
My first time ordering food from here, food was delicious, but the portions was very small and the price was high , I had no left over .
My favorite Thai place! Super friendly staff, very clean, and fast service. Food is absolutely delicious.
Really enjoyed this place. Need to come back to try more of the menu.
Great food and a very friendly staff. My favorite restaurant .
Very good food...great customer service
Great little Thai place. Service and food were very good.
Best Pad Thai in town. Meals here never disappoint.
A big fan of Thai food. Disappointing to find out they don’t make their own noodles at a “noodle house”. Drinks and rice is good. Noodles are disappointing when you used to authentic made Thai food.
Quaint place with good food
Good food
The Gyoza dumplings.. wow. They are super tasty! Loved the green curry.. exactly the right amount of heat and tons of flavor.
The food and service was great like always
The Panang curry was excellent. It was very flavorful, with a reasonable portion of chicken and vegetables. The staff was very friendly. I would be here all the time if I lived in Augusta.
From my orders Pad Thai and Chicken Satay was good. Papaya Salad was over priced for the portion. The worst one is Pad Kha Paw- Kai.
Really?? A few pieces of chicken flooding in basil/green pepper sauce. It's cheating. You know what is Pad Kha Paw look like. If u forgot.. Google it.
Response to owner.: Yes.. I dine in small shop at Bangkok streets. (Live in Bangkok for 3 yrs) I do live in Detroit , Columbia and St Louis too. You are the cheapest Thai food place in US. Corner town from South Carolina call Grantville. I'll never come back.
Great food. Best Thai place in town.
First I will say we will for sure be going back and I will be bringing others to enjoy the food. Second, I'll say me and my family try Thai food places anywhere we go. Some good some bad. My final rating is based on the sweet rice with mango. This place has top notch sweet rice with mango.
My kids both cleaned their plates of the chicken teriyaki.
The Thai iced tea had all the right portions and I wanted more.
The veggie fried rice was great. I didn't care for the Lima beans, or something like that, in the fried rice, but otherwise all around great.
Food is great better than the other thai place on the same street.
They are always so friendly and they double check to make sure your order is correct. They're also pretty quick about getting your order ready as well and the food is sooo tasty!!! We love to eat here! We ordered a big meal to share with my parents and my parents kept going on and on about how delicious their food was. It's such a great restaurant and we will miss it dearly when we move away. Please please eat here! Your taste buds will be so happy you did!!!
The food was great.i had the chicken satay and the Spicy Noodles. All of it was great. I forgot to ask about spice levels. I like mine spicier that what they served but that would be my fault. Only thing that was a bad for me was the lack of the jiggly cheesecake. It was a standard commercial cheesecake. But I will be back for the drunken noodles
Great food. Only reason why I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because I don't feel the portion sizes resemble the prices.
I love the sweet mango and rice dessert! So warm so sweet!
Customer service was horrible and I got the smallest most expensive phad Thai portion I have ever seen from a Thai restaurant. I ended up walking to next door to wing stop. I am never going back there.
Update: The next day I felt sick...like I ate something bad
Yuuuuum. I recommend the spicy basil chicken and the hot tea
Charming if a little generic. Sushi is shut down for covid as far as I can tell (Jan 2021). The pad Thai was awesome and service was great! Delicious and good spice level.
The Thai iced coffee was awesome but maybe a little bigger portion would have been nice!
There’s no ambiance or romance here but the food is great
Honestly, out of all the Thai restaurants in town, this one is the best. Go here.
Don't forget to ask for spice tray with your meal. It makes it much better.
No military discount, though.
Was split between picking up something from Salsa's or Sawasdee for lunch today since I was gonna be in West Augusta--chose this establishment. The employee or manager canceled the call in order and said to reinstate the order it will be charged higher than the lunch price because it was picked up later than 30 minutes. I live across town. What other restaurant does this? At least post a disclaimer of this policy on your website. Lesson learned.
I quite like the food. The portions might be a little on the small side, but that's the only thing I can legitimately gripe about. Worth the time, the food comes fast and is pretty amazing. Worth checking out, for sure!
The pho was amazing and the Thai Coffee was a delight of a drink, more on the dessert end though.
Great Thai food. Love the pad si ew and thai iced tea.
Quick service with good food.
I came the restaurant last Saturday night, everything was great! Delicious Pad Thai & sweet Thai Tea ! The Asian waitress here is very enthusiastic & nice ! Although she was busy with many customers but she still served my table very well. Amazing !
The best Thai cuisine i have had in a very long time and believe you, me- I Love Thai. Staff was friendly and efficient. Overall great place.
