The establishment was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, providing outstanding service throughout our visit. Each meal was expertly prepared, featuring fresh, flavorful, and delicious ingredients. An overall excellent experience!

I ordered take out as it’s only 6mins from my home. I got chicken satay, Thai iced tea, and pad se ew. The tea what such a treat! Sweet and delicious. The satay was also good, the chicken was juicy and the peanut sauce for dipping was flavorful. The pad se ew was a little dry for my liking, so I felt the flavor could use a little boost, butttt it was still good.

My wife and I had 2 lunch specials. The flavors were on point. Hats off to the chef accompanied by the excellent service from our waitress. Next time I come back I want to try the curry.

Excellent tom yum and drunken noodles. We ordered both 5 star spicy and they came out exactly to our liking. We will be coming back. 👍🏼

Supposed to be peanut sauce but they just crushed like 3 peanuts into duck sauce.

Rest of the food was mediocre, Pad Thai tasted vinegary. There’s better Thai in town.

April 2021 - "Dined-in" which was lovely... haven't done this much since Covid19 started. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Food was fantastic! Chicken satay appetizer, and two lunch specials ($8 each): Green curry chicken, a noodle dish. Server was extremely nice and comfortably attentive. Restaurant decor is minimal and casual. Background music was relaxing and enabled us to talk and enjoy the experience. Hope others will support this restaurant so that we don't lose this Thai gem in Delmar!

Way too many red and green peppers, lacked flavor. Overpriced

Poor vegetarian/vegan options. Nothing is labeled on their website. Upon placing my order, they called to tell me that basically everything I ordered couldn’t be made vegan. They offered to make other dishes, like pad kee mao, and while I appreciate their accommodations, the food was flavorless. I guess all their sauces rely on fish sauce, etc. because everything we got was bland. Over $70 worth of food and it’s barely edible. Super disappointing.

Only one person serving the whoe restaurant on a weekend. The waitress ran after customers as soon as they left the restaurant and I didnt know why. She came behind me as well because she wasnt satisfied with the tip. She said “might as well order take out if you cant tip more”. First and Last

This is an amazing gem in Delmar! We have high expectations of Thai food and this exceeds all of them and more! My favorite dishes are the yellow curry with chicken and extra veggies, the pho is very good, and my hubby gets the salmon dish. We have eaten in but love doing takeout. I like to call in the orders and I'm so glad to see how much busier they have been lately.

I like the spring rolls too, I can't say enough great things🤗❤️❤️❤️

Love this place! The women who answers the phone and cashes me out is always so kind! The food is delicious- we love the chicken rice soup, beef pho and crispy veggie spring rolls :)

My wife and I love this place. We tend to order for take out rather than dine in. The food is prepared quickly and still tastes great when I get home with it. The pad Thai is fantastic as are the curry options. Highly recommend!!

I used to get take out here. The food is decent. I just downgraded the review because their web site says they are open until 9:00 pm. We called for takeout sometime between 8:30 and 8:40 pm one night and they said that the kitchen was closed. No "sorry", no acknowledgement that their hours had changed. Took our business 2 miles up the road to Sweet Basil Thai restaurant instead. A little pricier, but good food and open when they said they would be.

The restaurant was very clean and the service was quick and friendly. We shared an order of the springrolls. They were light and crispy and had a nice flavor. I ordered the pad thai with beef. My son ordered the beef noodle soup. The beef in both entrees was SOOOOO tender!
The pad thai was a different interpretation than Iv ever had. It was very sweet and had a heavy orange/citrus flavor to it. I ate the beef and sprouts and some of the noodles but the sweetness didnt allow me to finish the meal. The beef noodle soup however was delicious from tip to tail. And it was HUGE. My teenager had to struggle to finish it and he has a hearty appetite.
It was an enjoyable.experience and I will absolutley visit them again.

Don’t bother trying to eat in. We made a reservation and when we got there we were told that we would have to wait at least one hour before we could order. We left and had a great meal at Sweet Basil

Vegans and vegetarians beware! Sat down on a Thursday night with no one else seated in the restaurant. Was told that for ordering an entree they could either remove the seafood sauce or the eggs, but not both. So here it is mandatory when ordering an entree to eat either fish sauce or eggs. Server was very rude about the whole issue, so will never eat here again, and recommend no vegans or vegetarians do either

Food quality is top notch. I unfortunately forgot to take a photo but presentation was good too. Prices are a bit high for Albany standards but it is worth the money. People are nice too.

My family and I are big fans of Thai food and we have tried all the places in the capital district. We normally go to one and downtown Albany and have for decades but we decided to give this place a try.

The food was so fresh and so well prepared we were surprised. It was a whole new level. I got the Green curry with chicken and vegetables were clearly fresh the seasoning was just right and the chicken was 1st class. We actually ordered again a few nights later just to see if it was going to always be that good... It was!

We had take out and it was delicious.Staff member was very nice and helpful.

I ordered red curry tonight. I have gotten a few times before and it was delicious and I am sad to say it was not tonight :(. The chicken was poor quality, dry. It just wasn’t the same as I used to get.

We stopped to eat here on a whim one night about four months ago and loved it!! Since then, we've eaten here once a month and tried many different dishes. All have been excellent, although the Suki hang is my favorite. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

Excellent food and very friendly service. The nice young lady here was very helpful when I wanted to spice up a meal that many would find spicy without the extra kick. She asked me how much hotter I'd like it on a star scale from 1-5. I went with 3 and it was perfect. A little lingering warmth a few minutes after I finished it but not so hot that it was unpleasant for someone with a good spicy food tolerance. I definitely recommend this place.

Went there for lunch today and really enjoyed it. The pad kee mao was very good and the portion was large. Service was fast and friendly.

Large room for a family-run place, simply decorated. The size of the room makes for an initial impression a bit cold, but the owner, who also waited tables made for a very warm and friendly experience. Our curries were great, made with fresh ingredients. My spicy dish was about medium for my taste, but I like very spicy foods. I'll ask for more heat next time. If you aren't a spicy fan, they do make a number of non-apicy dishes too.

Chontong is a nice neighborhood Thai place. I'll be back.
