Traditional Thai cuisine served in a dining room graced with wall murals & lanterns.
When we first moved to Kirkland back in 2002, Noppakao used to be one of our local favorites. I moved here from LA, re land of a thousand Thai restaurants, and i dared say the 2002 Noppakao was up there with some of the best I've had.
Over the years ownership changed and so did the food and after several disappointing experiences we stopped going.
On a quiet Monday evening we worked later than planned and had to scramble for dinner. Our usual go to restaurants were closed so we thought we should give Noppakao another try. There were only 2 other tables there with us. We ordered chicken wings, pad woo sen, and Lemongrass chicken.
The chicken wings were not fresh, tasted like the wings had long expired before being fried and served up. After a couple bites i could not eat anything anymore and we just left with much sadness.
You can enjoy great Thai food after a stroll around the Juanita Beach area. This restaurant has an attractive exterior, interior, and really delicious menu options. The service was timely, and the prices are reasonable.
We felt very welcome to stay after the meal and enjoy more beverages and good conversations. A large attractive fish tank is a special featured decor. Booth and table seating are optional. It is a wheelchair friendly place with a peaceful vibe.
Such a terrible experience and horrible customer service. My family and I ordered delivery for dinner ( we have eaten here and gotten delivery on more than one occasion from this location before) however this time the food was terrible. While the food arrived hot, all 5 dishes had absolutely zero flavor. We ordered spice level 2, however the food had no spice and no flavor whatsoever. Because we spent about $200 on dinner in total we called as the quality was not where it has been before, we were simply told to "order higher spice level next time if we wanted flavor". Truthfully the food didn't even taste like any salt was even used. My aunt proceeded to go in person to the restaurant to see if anything could be done as this was a very disappointing experience, they refused to do anything. We will never eat here again. In a time and age where customer service is so important to establishments success, clearly it is not a priority here.
The service was very friendly. Our food came out hot and the portions were large! The thai ice coffee was great. I love the high-back, large booths. Noise level was minimal and the restroom was clean. For reference, we arrived at ~6:30 pm on a Wednesday. We were seated right away. I will return soon. :)
It's been awhile since I've been here. The place has gotten a little worn in. My menu was a little sticky which I didn't like. The service was really good. I liked all the dishes we ordered...tom yum soup, 3 flavored trout, crying tiger beef salad, appetizer sampler. They are also on the passport which was a bonus. I would go back.
We ordered red curry and pad thai. If you following my other reviews you know these two kind of dishes we (almost) always order. I can say their food is one of the best thai food in Seattle's & surroundings. The worker doesn't talk too much which you might experience cold welcomes, but who cares as long as they do their job and the food is good, I'd like to recommend this place! The price on the menu doesn't up to date I guess, after we got the bill, but their price still reasonable. The only thing is I feel the toilet a bit creepy, I'd try not to go to the toilet if I visit the restaurant again.. good food!
Absolutely horrible restaurant. Food was incredibly mediocre at best (coming from a long time Thai food lover). Waitress was blatantly hating every second she was there; felt like she did not want to serve us from the start. Overall atrocious dine-in experience, I would highly suggest not coming here if you want to have a nice meal/experience.

The middle aged lady who was manning the counter as well as was responsible for taking the food order was downright rude. She had no patience to take the order, or answer any questions about the menu options, and sounded irritated and rushed. Such a bad customer experience

Ordered takeout. Ordered cashew chicken and it came with no cashews. Not one. And it tastes fishy even though it's clearly made with chicken. Won't go there again. Ever.
Pad thai was a little sweet. The waitress was not happy, not good service & she was busy talking with her coworker.
4 of us in our party of 7 mentioned to the staff that the tofu, tasted off. He responded by telling us we were wrong and that he fried it himself and tasted it and it was fine and he walked away. He then left the uneaten tofu at the table while he cleared all the other dishes. The tofu remained until we left. Disappointing as we loved this restaurant.
Wonderful service and amazing food! ❤️
Pad Thai smelled like puppy breath
Wonderful service and food
Best pad see ew
I wish I could give a zero. I ordered swimming rama through Doordash. The food arrived with raw spinach and some frozen chicken on top of it that smelled awful and some peanut sauce on the side! It was the worst Thai food I've ever had in my whole life. I will never order food from this restaurant as it is only waste of time and money.
I've never been to this Nopakkao, but it's just as great as the one in Mil Creek!
The Tom Kah soup is the best.
Also good, the Pad See Ew and Thai Fried Rice!
Noppakao Thai Restaurant impressed me with both their food and service. particularly enjoyed the Pad Thai, which was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The staff was attentive and friendly, making for a very enjoyable dining experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Thai food!
The ingredients are not fresh. And food is too salty.
This restaurant gem for Thai food. The owner and staff are delightful. We frequent this restaurant regularly for dine in and take out and they always take great care of us. The food is delicious every time and it's consistent. I regularly get the Massuman curry!! Yum! I highly recommend visiting here. The atmosphere is great too. They have several large fish tanks to complete the feel of being in Thailand.
Ordered Green Curry, Eggplant and Golden noodles. We loved the food. Flavorful, good service. We enjoyed coming here and will come here again.
Great food and great customer service!!! We enjoyed our experience a lot, and will definitely return :).
Great food and service! Ordered here both takeout for quite a long time and dined in, always enjoyed it.
Good Thai food! We had the crab dumplings and chicken satay for apps and they were tasty and also probably the largest portion of chicken on each skewer of satay which was great and perfectly cooked, not dry like some. Did all our dishes family style, 4 people, 4 entrees and had plenty for leftovers! Special fried Duck Curry was delicious, their different-named version of swimming rama, red curry, and pad Thai, all good. One thing is as a group some of us like spicy and some need pretty mild. We ordered everything 2 star and some dishes were a little too spicy for two of our group, they still enjoyed it, just with more water, lol. If you're sharing with a group like us and have non-spicy folks, order no stars or 1 star and then just ask for their tray of spices and oils to spice to taste if you're a spice lover, and everyone will be happy!
This is the best Thai restaurant! I ordered takeout and everything was so fresh, flavorful, and amazing. The employees are so kind and the prices are very reasonable. It’s also super clean too. This is definitely my new favorite restaurant!
I only come here for the fried rice. By far the best I’ve ever had and worth the price every time.

fantastic food fantastic service amazing everything super super nice people great
Service was atrocious. The server didn't write down our order, then came back a few minutes later to "verify the order" again without writing it down. She didn't bring our potstickers, and when she brought us our main dishes, she brought us two of the same dish. At least it was what one of us ordered. We had to wait for the correct dish, and had to ask for potstickers again. She then asked if we still wanted the one plate that was incorrect, and we asked if we would need to pay, and she said yes.... Even though I'm sure she just threw it out. What a waste of food. This seems to me that she just doesn't care, and doesn't take the time to do her job correctly.
Yes. This is it. Do come here.
We love Thai cuisine and while it’s almost always “good” we found this to be exceptionally tasty. The staff are so warm and welcoming.
The prices are fair and the servings are generous.
We look forward to dining here again soon.
Our child appreciated be sat near the fish tank :)
This was a Go To for yrs for us for both dine in and take out. Always consistent and excellent. The food has been disappointing over the past yr. The dishes/ flavors we’ve previously enjoyed aren’t the same.Average at best. No longer worth the $$. Looking for a new Go To Thai.
Be careful when you order a takeout at this restaurant. I ordered a Sweet and Sour Trout ($20 meal) and found out when I got home it was dry, maybe days ago, and taste awful.
I have no idea why the rating of this place has a low rating !! I visited this place for my mom’s bday and we got the best service and amazing Thai food! I have been to a few Thai places including some fine dining places and this place beat them all in terms or food and service!
Very consistent delicious food. I have been enjoying their cooking for many years. Not sure why their review is low. Their curries a full of vegetables and meet, noodle dishes are addictively amazing, and yummy salads.
Not sure how this place doesn’t have a higher rating - some of the BEST Pad Thai I’ve had on the Eastside. Our server was super nice and attentive as well. Great experience all around.
Amazing cashew chicken, everything was cooked perfect and the sauce was so flavorful. Plus finally a place that gives you a decent amount of sauce. Service was also excellent. Pricey but rice was included and worth the money for sure. Will definitely be returning!
My partner & I are regular customers and enjoy the pretty good Thai food. The taste is pretty consistent most days which is great since it’s a place we have come to rely on when we’re craving Thai food.
The only thing they cooked well was the tofu and soup , beef tough , trout was not flavorful . Would not recommend
Absolutely amazing pad Thai and crab delight!!
Tofu pad thai is amazing and can be made vegan upon request (I ask for no egg or fish sauce). Big portions.
Service was great. Multiple employees checked in with me to make sure I was doing OK and had everything I needed. I ordered 2 entrées and both had great flavor. I ordered a 4/5 star on the spice level for both and felt it. I drank my Thai iced tea and water faster than usual to dampen the spice...that's what I look for in a Thai restaurant, food that makes me feel the heat on the upper level spice meter. Pleased with the portion of food, I enjoy having leftovers. I will return!! Thank Noppakao!
Good vegan options. They usually do the order well and correctly and when not, they fix it complimentary. Honor. Love supporting local businesses whose food and art are authentic to the ethnic culture. Wonderful staff including Bo who really respects the customers.
I had an issue through door dash with my order with missing & left food! They were quick to respond, resolve, and even gave me extra!
Everything is hot, delicious, and good portions. Beyond the snafu with DoorDash, the to-go order was packed excellent for transport. Thanks!
Mmmm
Best Thai place in town! I love ❤️ this place so much that I drove all the way from the other side of the town to come and eat here. Fresh food, clean place and friendly staff. Thank you so much.
Delicious food and good services. I love it.
Been three times now and somehow they added zero flavoring or sauce to the phad see ew this time. Usually it is a black soy sauce if I remember but this was just rice noodles, broccoli, and beef. Delivery order, otherwise we would've happily mentioned it. My favorite food on top of it when done well
Great food with great service!
Delicious! The duck curry is our favorite!
Be warned, this place is addictive!! Hands down the best Thai in town! Their Sen Me is amazing and I crave it at least a few times a week. Their customer service is incredible and they always have smiles and kindness to give along with their delicious food!
Authentic Thai taste and hospitality!
Tried the panang curry and cashew chicken, which were very tasty. Perfect (Thai) level spice with the authentic Thai chilis offered on the side to adjust for extra heat.
Hands down the best Thai food we have had in the Seattle area, we’ll be back to try the Tom Yum, pad Thai, more curries and mango with sticky rice. Topped off with excellent service and nice ambiance’s
Very rude Staff! Enough said!
The food was good, however, I had to ask 3 times to get extra sauce for my mixed vegetables and chicken which equated to more waiting and food getting colder. Server was nice but food is kinda on the spendy side.
Disappointing. The service was attentive and friendly, but the dishes were quite bland. Even the dipping sauces lacked complexity. For the price, there are much better Thai food options.
One of our favorite Thai restaurants for 15+ years. Always top flight food.
I had spicy curry, the usual I get from Thai restaurants. Very well done 😋
Have eating here for years. Love their crab fried rice.
Meh. Overpriced and not very good. I can find some of the best Thai food for under $10. For their prices, the food should taste better.
Chicken bone in my meal!
Good thing I only broke one tooth.
Good food just the owner it's not very friendly
Great service with prime location with free parking. Our server was very polite and caring help us to understand the item. Its good for people who like thai would recommend to visit this one. 1 of the item we didn't like so, server understood and remove from our bill. Very nice and thanks to management as well as serving staff.
Good food, my favorite satay peanut sauce. Excellent service Thursday nights.
Walked in at 8:59 and they said very rudely that they were closed.
They close at 9:30.
I had the Phad Kee Mao paired with a plum wine. Food was excellent and arrived quickly.
I give 5 stars for the service. The team working here was excellent. Very friendly and attentive staff.
Very friendly staff and decent food. A little too expensive.
Great lunch specials, relatively quick take-out; large portions.
Great lunch specials, tasty and relatively fast with online orders.
Tried to order to go at 915 when they said they were open till 930 and they told me I couldn't order. Get you businesses in line, this closing early is getting really old. At least tell the truth on your hours of operation
Pad Thai was delicious and the portions were huge! Service was also great
Good food, friendly staff.
Our go-to Thai place, gotten most items off the menu and love all of it
The BEST Pad Thai I've had since moving to Washington. Perfectly peanutty, not too sweet, and exactly the right amount of spicy at a 3. Crab Rangoon was equally as delicious. Perfect amount of cream cheese, not too sweet, and the dipping sauce was awesome! Highly recommended.
Friendly Thai place, great food, friendly staff. They have been at this location for ever and popular with the locals.
Been here twice with my at first girlfriend, and then fiancé, and going there now the third time, she’s my wife
Love, love love this place. I have been coming here for over 3 years now and have never had a bad experience. The wait staff and behind the scenes people are all amazing. The food always perfect, I usually get the coconut, chicken soup, however all the food is fabulous. Love it.
Best Thai food in the area! Their pad Thai is hands-down the best I've found. Only reason for the star deduction is that it can be quite inconsistent. Some days it is amazing, and other days it can be so so.
I've tried the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and Tom Kha Gai. Pretty basic dishes, but all met my expectations. Good food, but service could use some improvement. Restaurant seems like it would have a nice ambiance in non-pandemic context.
Service was good but the food is mediocre at best.
Outstanding garlic pork. I'll be back for that
First of all they are extremely slow like other have mentioned. If you are a delivery driver beware! They are extremely rude, will pick others before you. You will actually be sitting there and they will be smirking. When I asked how long it will be the staff told me don't worry about it and sit down lol.. Wish this was fake news, but unfortunately they don't like delivery drivers.
We there to celebrate my brother's birthday and we had great service and wonderful food. Highly recommended.
Excellent Thai food. We have been going here for many years (lately ordering food), but always with 100% satisfaction. We also discovered a VERY TASTY soup, Tom Kah, which you really need to try. I have also had a couple types of curry (along with some other dishes), but my "go-to" dish would have to be the (wide noodle dish) Phad Kee Mao.
They are slow as hell
Best Thai food on the east side.
Great vegan options as well.
Ordered a noodle dish. It was so bad. It didn’t have any flavor. I have been to a lot of Thai restaurants and this place by far is the worst one. Would not recommend it. I talked to other people too and they had the same bad experience.
The employees are very rude, I was having dinner and saw two employees being very rude to a delivery man!!!
Restaurant with the rudest staff in Kirkland !!!!
They have fresh and aromatic stir-fried noodle dishes, fried rice, and curry. We've had takeout from here several times and every dish we've tried is good! The mango sticky rice is tasty as well. The monthly coupons in Valpak make this restaurant an even better value. I highly recommend this local spot for your next Thai food meal.
I order Uber eats on Thanks giving evening. After an hour there was no driver so I went to pick It up myself. Not only did they stay open late on TG so I could come get my food, they remade it so it was hot when I picked it up AND gave me some free spring rolls. Appreciate you guys.!
Check your takeout order!!! Placed a $95 order for a smorgasbord of dinner options. Picked up on time. The paper bags were stapled shut so I didn’t bother checking the contents. Bring it home (20 min drive) and discover that they forgot three different sides of rice. Thai food just isn’t the same w/o rice. Called the restaurant and was essentially told to go fly a kite. The best they could do was refund the rice which they mentioned is FREE with most entrees. Yep, they offered to give me a refund for my FREE items. What a farce.
Located in the Juanita Beach area in Juanita Village oh, I really enjoy there Thai food. Good size menu with lots to choose from. Fast service.
Thai basil eggplant 🍆
3🌟spicy works (2 🌟spicy can’t cover the bloody smell of the meat)
Popular spot —-> Order your lunch before 1130 to avoid waiting long time
Emerald Curry on the menu says it includes fish balls but there were none. More of an issue with the Orange Sauce dish, the orange peels are cooked into the sauce making it taste horrible. Who eats orange peels?
Great thai
We ordered red curry and pad thai. If you following my other reviews you know these two kind of dishes we (almost) always order. I can say their food is one of the best thai food in Seattle's & surroundings. The worker doesn't talk too much which you might experience cold welcomes, but who cares as long as they do their job and the food is good, I'd like to recommend this place! The price on the menu doesn't up to date I guess, after we got the bill, but their price still reasonable. The only thing is I feel the toilet a bit creepy, I'd try not to go to the toilet if I visit the restaurant again.. good food!
Great Thai!
Horrible food. If I could, I would have sent back all the dishes. We ordered lemon chicken and it was so unappetizing, we didn’t even take a bite. It says it was supposed to come on a sizzling hot plate, which it didn’t. We weren’t even sure if it was chicken. We also ordered the Laird Gai or some chicken cabbage wrap dish and it was just disgusting. They add this raw couscous seeds in the meal which just stick to your teeth and taste horrible. All the food was so smelly and just made us feel nauseous. This place does not know how to make Thai food at all. My family and I won’t be eating here ever again.
I won't go anywhere else for Thai food! Sadly moved north, but hoping the Nappakao up here is as good as the one in Juanita.
Preferred Dish: Green Curry with Chicken!
I am a regular customer here, love their curries! The service is not very good but I almost find it charming.
I used to order pad thai from here all the time. The spice-level has always been inconsistent. I would order the 4* spice level and some days it would be so spicy I could barely eat it and sometimes it would have no spice at all. A few months ago I found a hair in my pad thai and I thought it had turned me off of this place for good. But today my coworker and I decided to give them another chance because everyone makes mistakes. ANOTHER hair in my pad thai today, and the spice level was basically a 0 when I asked for a 4*. Never again.
Food was ok, but service definitely needs to improve. I got takeout here and although my food was ready, they didn't even realize it was ready and it was just sitting on the table ready to be pick up. Luckily i decided to look at the table and saw my food.
Foodwise, The pad thai and calamari salad was pretty typical. The ribs was on the chewier side and the halibut was a little overcook as well. It is a big place so maybe it be better dining in
I didn't dine in yet. But the staff whom I tried to place order was so worst. Have no other words to describe. She made me wait for ten minutes on hold and then didn't have patience to get my order for even a minute. She hung the call when I said give me a second.
My favorite Pad Thai in Kirkland
Not great Thai food, not bad either. It's meh
Great food nice atmosphere
Delicious!!!! Lots of very traditional items on the menu I haven't seen at most Thai restaurants. Give this place your local support!
Ordered Panang Curry & Phad Thai
Curry: typical small portion that you would expect from a thai restaurant here in WA. Tasted good and worth ordering in the future. Get it if you're about quality.
Phad Thai: The portion is big. I think I had this over 3 meals. That's how much you get. Problem is there wasn't a lot of meat so the ratio of meat and noodle was off along with the veggies. It didn't taste spectacular and was just average. Get it if you're quantity.
Forgot to mention. I had stomach problems from eating the pad thai every single time. Don't know what was in it (wasn't spicy) so just be aware.
Love the food and the service was great.
Very Bad customer service.
best thai food 🙏🙏
The tastier Thai restaurant so far. Good value for pickup.
Great customer service. They accidentally gave me the wrong order and had no problem fixing it.
On a side note, when I picked up there were 4 women yelling at the young waitress and waiter and just being nasty. If you’re reading this, you all should be ashamed of yourselves. You’re grown women, please act like it.
Thank you for the great customer service!
great Thai food, fresh ingredients; but the servers are very unhappy.
Excellent
They are always busy so that should give you a good idea at how awesome their food is. This location and the one in Everett are excellent
old lady is super rude, need to fire her!!!! everytime she has my food ready but says its not ready, it just sits behind the counter getting cold, gave me wrong food multipul times, she makes the company look bad! fire her!
Love their food from crying tiger to phad thai and thai sticky rice with mango. Everything is so good and the service is wonderful. They work so hard and make you feel like family when you are there. Don't miss out on this gem when you are in the area. You won't regret it!
Doordash had 4.6 rating. Dont know why 🤷🏻♂️.
Average food quality, did not feel authentic Thai taste.
I ordered from DoorDash so payed over $25 (with tip) for pad Thai, but wow. I loved it and for the first time, since moving here over two year ago, a Thai restaurant actually read my request and acted on it and made it extra spicy! This is now my favorite Thai spot on the eastside. I can’t wait to dine in when that’s an option.
Ordered:
Pad Thai w prawns (xtra spicy) - note: serving is enough for two people or two meals. 😎
Some Staff not wearing masks
Amazing culture, food and management here. Highly recommend!
Been going here for years with my little brother, family and wife.
They are great!
Always good food. I have been eating here for years and have never had an issue. Just good food and good people.
Best Thai food anywhere.
Cost savings they don’t provide utensils for take out. I got to the park to realize that I cannot eat food and then food is cold. This is. Cost saving measure but brings lots of inconvenience to customer
Really good food!!!!
I ordered the Thai fried rice (chicken) and these crab wontons, and I was so presently surprised!
The rice was exactly like expected, maybe even with a tinge of garlic, and they definitely did not hold back on the quantity as well. I asked for it spicy and spicy it was made.
Crab wontons were really good as well, and the presentation for them was even better even though I ordered my food home via doordash.
This is definitely going to be my go to thai restaurant (:
Food's pretty good, sometimes a bit too sweet. Price to portion is reasonable. Thai iced tea cup was only filled 80% after asking to not put ice in it
Ok this place is no good ,customer service is zero ,they don’t care to be even open on time or close on time ,, they say that the are open till 9.30 pm today I called to order some food at 9.22 pm and the told me they are already close,, VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE,
Best Thai food in the area! Always great quality and portions are huge.
The best thai salads I've ever had.
Good food. Fair prices. We got the Tofu Red curry and the Pad Thai
Food comes out piping hot. Fresh vegetables and seafood, however the flavor is inconsistent and staff is not very friendly and argumentative.
We'll see if it improves
Just went to buy 5 order for my crew, and the lady at the front desk had a terrible attitude seems like I wasn't going to pay, they when finally got my order to go I notice that she didn't put any fork or spoon inside, so I ask her for some which she only gave 3, I told her that I order 5 dishes and she looked at me an told me" you should told me how many u need" in a really bad manner. Honestly haven't try the food but I know for sure the service its the worst.
Used to go there regularly since day they opened. Last time there found they must have sold as the food was terribly disappointing, not one good dish. Tom Kah Gai soup contained nothing but too-large mushrooms. Panang Curry NOT the formerly delicious curry. When even the fried rice is a loser, you have to listen and realize it's a failure.
Horrible customer service. Lady who takes order on the phone does not speak English. She cannot understand the order, then she says ‘I have other customers’ and hangs up. Lost the client forever.
Ordered take-out of 5 star spicy
Tom yum chicken soup
Se ew noodles w/tofu
Panaang curry w/ beef
Boyfriend said second best panaang he has had however not spicy at all (we eat Thai spicy relatively frequently)
Tofu was well seasoned and portion was good for the noodles. However noodles were not cut so each one was a LARGE bite, meaning each noodle was 2.5 inch or longer and hard to maneuver. Also not 5 star spicy, more like 2 or 3. Broccoli extra crunchy
Tom yum soup was disappointing with 1/4 - 1/2 tomatoes not cut ( like how am I supposed to get that much tomato in my mouth at once?)
Not bad, not memorable
