Modern eatery with a full bar & traditional Thai cuisine including gluten-free & vegetarian options.
If trapped on jury duty or a date to the movies, this is the place to go!
A pretty good thai place. Nothing to wax poetic about imo but I've had quite a few things here now and it's all been good when compared my favorite thai restaurants. Pad thai, khao soi, drunken noodles, tom yum fried rice, all good and well priced. Noodle Delight kind of weird with a thick mongolian beef-type sauce to it. The interior is cozy and the people are friendly. Nothing to complain about and is above what I expect from a mall-type restaurant.
This was my first time eating Thai food, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. Our waitress was nice and made sure we had what we needed. The chicken pad Thai was amazing, and so was the crispy garlic chicken that my family shared. For those who don’t know, Thai food is ‘ranked’ by spiciness stars. I got a level 1 for both dishes and the spice didn’t really bother me. I will absolutely be coming back! Pictured below is the chicken pad Thai and crispy garlic chicken.
Highly recommended. If you are planning to dine in near Kent this is place
One of the finest Thai food with amazing dine in place.
Ordered crispy vegetable spring roll, drunken noodles, broccoli delight, yellow fried rice and a glass of strawberry lemonade and Jasmine tea.
Ended with a fried banana with coconut ice cream.
Most satisfying food ever. I wish they had hot sauce too.
All the food was so tasty. Ambience 10, super clean restaurant, very friendly staffs.
Would want to go again and again.
Everything was delicious. I ordered the beef salad, we got happy hour appetizers, shrimp soup, coconut soup, eggplant, fried tofu, curry, pad Thai.
We ate family style with my extended family of 10. Service was great!
Parking is plentiful. Kids welcome.
Atmosphere is upscale but you're not out of place in jeans.
Great place for some very good Thai food. Banyan Tree definitely has great flavor and spice (if you ask). They had the Duck Curry on special and it was delicious. Drunken noodles are always a good choice. They have an amazing coconut rice that is by far better than Jasmine rice. The thai teas here are ok- they will hit the craving, but nothing special.
If you are gluten allergy or dairy, they are GREAT at knowing and changing items as needed.
They can be busy at times due to events at Showare, in which Waiting can be 40-50 minutes. Yes, the parking can suck if you are trying to park over by the restaurant itself- it's Kent station. What do you expect?!
Great experience! We came at 4:30 pm on a Saturday for dinner and it wasn't busy. Large parking area shared between many Kent Station businesses but we didn't have trouble finding a spot. We made a reservation for our party of 6 and wouldn't have needed it as early as it was, pretty empty when we arrived. Their full menu is viewable on their website online.
Service was on point, drinks never emptied, and everyone loved the food. We had a total of four appetizers, calamari, prawns in a blanket, and x2 of the chicken satay (only $6 each thanks to happy hour pricing). I had the Khao Soi with beef and it was fantastic, with plenty leftover, just as good later. We'd come for my mother-in-law's birthday and they brought her fried ice-cream, that was wonderful, on the house.
Our total for x6 meals and x4 appetizers, plus 20% gratuity, automatically applied, was $176 & change. For under $30 a piece out the door, excellent value I'd say. This didn't include any alcoholic beverages as those were paid for separately by those who drank. Beautiful restaurant, music was not too loud to converse and service was friendly. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended.
Went there for mothers day, had a good time. Loved the curry noodles, ordered it spicy!
I had parang curry. So delicious
Always delicious and great friendly staff
The food here is just delicious. Always. The atmosphere is nice, the drinks are good, and the staff is friendly!
Spoiled tofu in their Phad See Ew and I ordered at noon. Clearly a sign that the quality of ingredients are bad or they don’t care.
Missed our appetizer but most everything was a very positive experience.
The best garlic fried rice I've ever had!!
Just picked up a to go order. Ordered a noodle delight Noodles all stuck together. Had to use a knife to separate. Needed a magnifying glass to find the vegetables. Some very tiny pieces of bok choy.
So disappointing!
Shared a dish with my partner but they brought out appetizer soup for all of us, were extremely nice, and the food is tasty even if you can't have spicy in your food. Top tier restaurant
Excellent service and delicious Tom Yum Noodle soup
Prompt, courteous service. Excellent food. Reasonably priced. Will definitely go again.
Always a pleasure to eat here
Great 👍
Great food and service, love this place. I recommend you try this place , you will come back for more 😊
A friend and I flew into Seattle for a trip to the Olympic Peninsula. We chose this place for lunch based on the reviews and they didn't steer us wrong. We were there around 2pm so it wasn't very busy. The waiter brought us a chicken broth based soup which was the perfect thing after a long flight. He told us it was called Morning Soup and was only for eat in customers and slightly different every day. If I lived in the area I'd eat here all the time just for the soup.
My friend got pad Thai which was incredible. I tried the Heavenly Beef and made it a combo w noodles, which I'd recommend. I'd never had anything like it before. The beef was so tender with complex flavors.
The waiter came by and asked how we were which led to a lovely conversation. He was friendly and answered all our questions about the dishes. It was obvious he was proud of their restaurant and you can tell by the food and service. It was clean as a whistle, too. Great bathrooms.
We said we'd come back on our way back into Seattle but unfortunately couldn't make it work. Not being able to earn here again was my only regret on a fabulous trip.
I also got a mild (1 pepper) and could've definitely cranked up the heat. I eat a 2 at my local place and it is HOT so I wasn't sure and we still had a 3 hour drive 👀. If I get to go back I'd be comfortable starting at a 3.
If trapped on jury duty or a date to the movies, this is the place to go!

This food is amazing!!!
Fresh spring rolls have a super delicious sauce
There is one specific lady ( she didn’t not have a name tag) that works there. She has dark black hair, shoulder length. This is my second time that I have encountered her and she is really passive aggressive. I asked for zero spicy and I brought it up to her attention and she didn’t like that. She also hovered over us while we signed our check and cleaned our table while we were still sitting down. It’s rude.. It made me feel very uncomfortable. I will not be returning to this place. The food is great, but not the service.
I'm so disappointed. Bland spicy fried rice.. not happy. $20 too..
Never again.
I had the best soup there. I'm going back soon.
We've been there several times and it's always great.
They say 20% gratuity for parties of 6 or more. We had 4 in our party and got charged a 20% gratuity!
Food was good (not great) but price was very high and then they add a 20% service charge. No reason to go here.
Very nice experience, cozy atmosphere and good customer service.
Delicious food and great service. We had the pineapple curry, pad see ew, a fish dish, and papaya salad. Oh and let’s not forget the mango sticky rice….made to perfection. The coconut sauce is so good, perfectly balanced. I would come here over and over again.
Food was good. Prices average. Rice shouldn't be extra. Good waitress.
Very warm, welcoming, comfortable environment and layout. Friendly service and great food. Have never had anything but a pleasurable experience here and have been coming in for years.
Decent portions, automatic gratuity. Prices meh.
The food was very good, My wife had the yellow curry and I had the pad kee mao and it was very good. The noodles were just perfect and cooked right. Will definitely go again.
May 2025 Update:
Banyan Tree is as great today as my last review. Whenever I have the chance, I pick up some of their fresh rolls with the excellent cilantro sauce, delicious. You can also buy containers of the sauce as well.
—————————-
By far one of the best Thai restaurants I've been to, bar none. Located in Kent Station, it would be easy to dismiss this nondescript establishment, but don't cheat yourself.
My friends and I went for lunch and weren't disappointed. The service was great and the food...the FOOD was delicious. For appetizers we ordered the Fresh Garden Rolls which replaced the traditional plum sauce with a delicious house herb sauce. It was so good I bought two bottles, one for me, one for my friend. We also ordered the Saku Sai Moo, tapioca balls with marinated pork. I don't eat meat, so I can't testify it's taste,, but my friends raved over them.
For our main meal, we ordered the spicy eggplant and sizzling duck. Again, I can't speak for the duck, but let's just say the bones were laid bare. The spicy eggplant was wonderful, not too salty and not too spicy. We ordered three stars, but I think I could have gone to four...and I'm not into foods that are too spicy.
Overall, I'll be back...in spite of the distance from Seattle, this place is well worth the trip.
Best Thai food around here . Clean and Good quality food. 👍🏻
Good food. Good environment. I had the lettuce wrap with meatball, tiger seafood, and a chicken tender dish. I would not do the lettuce wrap with meatball again. It has too many ginger in there. I would order the tiger seafood again
The food was excellent, and I appreciated the water didn't taste like tap water. I was really impressed with the staff, they were very accommodating and pleasant when we wanted to change to a corner booth. Very nice place to eat, thank you!
great crispy garlic chicken with a side of rice. friendly staff and great service.
Best thai Place in kent highly recommend
Good Thai food, a little expensive.
We went there for a birthday lunch, and they refused us to allow us to cut cake at the restaurant and wanted to charge us for it.
Good lunch selection.
I tried the orange chicken with Phad Thai. It was great! Will definitely go again.
Have been looking for a high end Thai restaurants since we got into town, and this was recommended to us by a server at one of our own nearby eateries. A GREAT recommendation.
In the Kent Station Center, this is a really upscale restaurant, with pleasant decor and ambiance, backed up with really superb Thai selections. The spice levels ar nice, and they can tone it up or down for you, but the flavors are wonderful and the food is fresh and presented very nicely. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced and delicious, and the serving was ample! The Crab Delite, or crab rangoon, was hand wrapped and fried crisp, and a great appetizer, as were the Prawns in a Basket. The Chu Chee Salmon was delightful, served in a rich coconut curry sauce on a unique fish-shaped hot plate that was quite cute.
There are dozens of other dishes on the menu I can't wait to try.
It was quite a drive from where we live, but the service was genuine and friendly, the food was excellent and the whole night was well worth the effort. We will be back!
Food is on point reason why I keep coming back....but there's always a bad apple in the crew a few servers are not as what you kinda hoping for.If they want to be a true 5 star then everyone has to be on board !
My favorite restaurant for Thai, but the last time I came the cocktails tasted like there was no alcohol in it. I didn't want to be rude so I didn't say anything I left really disappointed. Overall I love the food here.
The more tasty Tom Yum soup with noodles I ever tried 👌
Always amazing service and really good food
Food is made with fresh ingredients, prepared well, and generous portions
This was our first time at Banyan Tree. Excellent food. Friendly service. Large portions. We will eat there again.
Nice atmosphere and delicious food! The yellow curry was devine!
The restaurant has a nice vibe to it! The problem is that the waitress are RUDE! As for the person who clears the tables was the best thing the have at this place! For some odd reason the waitress did not take orders for the whole table at the same time. We started out as a table of two, Instead of taking our appetizer orders together, they only took one person. By then , the remainder of our party arrive. The food never came out together. One plate at a time. I've never ate at a restaurant were food didn't come out as a table. The food had NO season. The calamari was bland, good thing it was only $7. Next was the Garlic fish, looked like a split open diaper with lumpy brown gravy. The worst presentation ever in a restaurant. Banyan Tree has appeal to the dominant culture in the United States, which makes this not an authentic Vietnamese restaurant.
I absolutely love this place. I've dined in and taken out. There are very few places were the food is consistent in or out. This is one of them, I love the pineapple curry add chicken with a spice of 4. No matter you taste or spice they got you covered !
Ordered Seafood tom yum soup. Hardly any seafood. I used to really enjoyed food here in past, but prices have risen considerably, and quality has declined. Very disappointed. If you are going to increase prices, keep your quality.
The food here is delicious! The combination of flavors are amazing. Everything made perfectly! Great service too! Everyone is so friendly and happy.
It's a convenient place to have dinner before or after a movie nearby a theater.
Great food!
The relative of the owner is RUDE, she tells people she is the owner. My daughter took a Coke Zero [no sugar] drink and when I walked out she said not to bring a drink again. Mind you it’s the Kent Station and people take drinks in restaurants from other places ALL THE TIME. I have seen people with Boba drinks at this restaurant and other drinks and nothing is said to them, never. But today I got the rude lady helping me that made a comment before I walked out of the door. To top it off she charged me $2.00 for a to go container. If the manager would have came out to talk to me I would not be leaving this review.
I am here to respond to your reply. One of your servers that heard the rude family member yell at me across the restaurant in front of your customers to not bring my soda heard and responded with the following (people bring drinks all the time and it’s no issue) I agreed as I’ve seen parents bring drinks in with my own eye, that is were I got the idea. The server apologized for the rude behavior of his colleague. My frustration came when she shouted across the restaurant in front of customers causing attention, very unprofessional.
Tatiyanna Lewis DO NOT GO OUT to eat if you don't tip. I've been here 100 times and excellent service. If you cannot afford to tip, eat at home. This is how servers make a living, please respect this everywhere. I've seen your other reviews, this does not help small businesses.
I went tonight to eat food with my aunt , when the sever came to take our check she asked if the food was ok which we replied yes , the server then asked why we did not leave a tip on our card , my aunt was in disbelief and wasn’t sure how to respond . The server then stated “ do you not understand, I’m asking was the food good because there’s no tip “ . I politely said that was food was great thank you . We couldn’t believe after we spent 100 plus that they would ask us that , didn’t give us a chance to leave a cash tip . Terrible customer service she was extremely rude .
A little pricey but worth it. Everything is very fresh and flavorful. I usually just ordered take out from here. Love that they try not to use styrofoam unlike most other Thai/Asian restaurants in the area.
This place is absolutely disgusting, they put egg in my food when I clearly, multiple times over call AND in real life said none, and when I try calling them an hour before they close, no response. Don’t eat here if you want a good experience.
Service was non-existent. We sat down for 20 mins without barely a word! We waited 5 more then walked out... Not a word!! 🙄 Unbelievable 🥱
Really enjoyed the crab Rangoon, the curry and especially the orange chicken.
Get the crispy garlic chicken with coconut rice. Or their curry. This place is soo good!!!
We had Cashew Nut with chicken and the Rama Noodle with pork- both were fantastic! The Rama Noodle’s peanut sauce was thick and creamy. Both dishes had a great balance of veggies. The waiters were very attentive. The only thing I was disappointed in was that I got full too fast.
Got the pad thai and garlic chicken with rice, both were fantastic!! We found our new go to Thai restaurant
Very poor customer service, those 50 years old waitress are unprofessional very angry face and they think they are models or something 🙄 we had 6 people dining and $270 .it's not worth it I don't recommend on any one.
Great food. Good service. Always a treat to get food from here.
Great place to have a meal with friends. It was nice to be able to speak and hear without battling music and kitchen noise.
Impressive service staff and the food is very good
Everything was delicious. I ordered the beef salad, we got happy hour appetizers, shrimp soup, coconut soup, eggplant, fried tofu, curry, pad Thai.
We ate family style with my extended family of 10. Service was great!

The food was good and it wasn't too expensive. The service is great you don't have to wait for a long time to be seated or get your food. They have straws upon request which I appreciated. Overall a great place for lunch or dinner.
I ordered beef pad Thai takeout and when I got it home it had a large scoop of white rice, I never had that in an order of pad Thai there in the past. I believe they did that to reduce the amount of pad Thai serving. The recipe was slightly different too. The staff there has always been friendly. However I didn’t feel the order was worth the money I paid almost $20. Very disappointed. I will have to find a new place to get my favorite Thai dish.
Hands down BEST Thai Food!!! My wife and I crave their food all the time. Their fresh/spring rolls are very good and their sauce to dip it in is out of this world! For meat lovers I definitely reccomend the crying tiger beef (flavor profiles that you've never tried before), and their Tom Yum Fried Rice is Fire!!!
Food was very good. Had something for everyone in my picky group. Waiter was very nice having answers for all our questions. Mango Coconut rice was Delicious!
Such a great place, food was tasty and the service was on point, smiling very attentive to our large group of 10. Do wish they had a kids menu but we just shared. Would highly recommend . Was great we were able to make reservations online!
Very tasty thai food, not expensive, with plenty of parking space
Delicious food! Tom Kha and mango sticky rice were great. Highly recommend! Friendly staff)
The Crispy Garlic Chicken is Amazing! The best appetizer to go with the Prawn Pad Thai and the Chicken Red Curry!
The food is delicious. I've been here several times and never disappointed. Great vegan options.
Delicious everytime! I favorites are their Garlic Chicken and the Crying Tiger!
Super good even forgot to take pictures! Spicy eggplant was so good and this was the best orange chicken I’ve ever had.
all their food is always amazing. Fresh spring rolls with warmed up peanut sauce. pan yang curry with brown rice is to die for . my always 1 fav
1st time here and it's now our favorite Thai spot. Wish it was closer to us. Angel wings were our favorite but everything we had was delicious
High rated Thai place!
The food was great. We had orange chicken, pad Thai, duck curry. Will be back. The service was great, they were very frit.
We love this please me and my friends been coming to this restaurant for the past three years. They have great customer service and their food is amazing. So I highly recommend it.
Fabulous food and service!
Food tasted great, but you get a very small amount of actual food and large amount of garnish.
The fried rice is really good here, I stop by a few times a month. Always ready real quick for to go orders.
I went there to enjoy a girls day lunch on the suggestion of a friend. We all tired something different and were not disappointed. We started out with spring rolls which were also very good. Good food, good service and nice atmosphere for a small group of friends to eat and talk. They didn't rush us after we were done eating.
Visiting from TN used to live here; horrible service , no one cared. Didnt listen to our order, but didn't
Ever check back. Dont waste your time or $$, too many other dining options.
Absolutely terrible. The first time we ate here we found a large chunk of glass in my noodles.
We gave it a second try and the Tom yum soup we ordered was 12 mushrooms and three chucks of beef. Worst restaurant in kent station.
This is a great restaurant, the food is delicious and the people are very nice. Nice atmosphere too. Highly recommend.
Tom Yum Soup was a bit salty...but overall, good.
Outstanding place to eat!!! Whether you are jumping in for a quick bite before a hockey game or movie or sitting down for a great meal with friends, this is the place to go. The food is excellent and the service is always 5 star. Definitely give the turmeric old-fashioned a try if you want a cocktail.
Ordered for take away by phone, as there was no online ordering option. Person answering the phone was a bit short and blunt.
Pad Thai was OK, noticeably bland in flavor when compared to other Thai restaurants. Spice level is also a lot lower than other places. A 2 spice here is equivalent to 1 in others.
Ordered the meatball lettuce wraps appetizer, which was served as four meatballs, and a stack of lettuce, and some ginger and peanuts. Instead of wraps, it was like deconstructed wraps. Or a build it yourself.
Prices seem significantly higher than other comparable restaurants, Pad Thai and appetizer wraps was $30
Really delicious. Thai is my favorite and the Banyan Tree did not disappoint.
amazing customer service and great flavors. food was so fresh it was like they grew it in house lol
Crispy garlic chicken and Tom Yum fried rice are good. Service is attentive. Overall good value.
the dust on the center chandelier is the only thing they could improve on...
The staff is as great as the food. I have never had a bad experience in the 40-50 times I have been there. It doesn’t matter if it is a work lunch or a family outing I always had great food. The price is very reasonable too.
Tasty Thai food. Lunch special is nice, comes with rice and soup for all entrees.
The restaurant is clean, and the waitstaff are kind and efficient. The food is excellent. One of my favorite Thai restaurants to go to.
La atención y el servicio son perfectos
I love this place! Always amazing service, delicious food and one of my favorites at Kent Station.
If you want a good meal without having to spend a lot of money, then the Banyan Tree Restaurant is the place for you. The service is great and the staff are very friendly, which makes the experience all the more enjoyable. The food is also very tasty, which is always a bonus.
Delicious food. Can’t complain.
Food was good but the server completely ignored us after we got our food. I waited the whole time to ask for the spice rack as well as another beer and she never came by again not even once. It wasn’t crazy busy for her to ignore us and if she cant handle having so many tables then maybe they shouldn’t give her as many. Crazy hot inside too
First time eating here. I always just order chicken Pad Thai, when I try a new place bc I know if it’s good if their Pad Thai is on point. But sadly, theirs wasn’t that good. Flavor was fair but the noodles were gummy and mushy and thick oil, coating it. Made me gag. Its Like, Thai you’d get at the mall or something.
I'm very happy we decided to try this restaurant, the food was excellent and the service was great. We have been a few times and it has been great each time.
Fantastic Thai food we chanced upon driving out of Seattle. Authentic, immaculately seasoned, spicy (as requested). Loved the generous basil in the drunken noodles. The garden rolls came with a really fresh and bright cilantro sauce.
I’m normally not big on pad Thai noodles but I was pushing my self to broaden my horizons and the food was incredibly flavorful my new go to for lunch at work Ernest prices make it a no brainer
We had the best service in a really long time. Everyone that works here must love their jobs because everyone is smiling and happy. Great job you guy for the awesome customer service.
Great food, friendly service.
I like this restaurant alot. Nice service and staff! Great spicy food.
A very pleasant place for great food - good variety, delicately prepared to give a lovely mix of flavors - and a nice quiet atmosphere
Very reliable for vegan food/takeout. :)
Very tasty . Spendy ..but tasty .
Great Thai dishes here. Wonderful staff greeted us as if we are best friends.
Things went well. Customer service was good... food was decent. A little on the small serving but the flavor waa decent. Not the best mostly fairly average.
The ambiage was good as well. The only thing that threw me off was when my friend asked for water before heading out, they said they are close already.
That left us scratching our head. I guess that customer service stops the second the clock strikes after business hours and this is after spending $300+
Maybe I'll try other restaurants next time.
Food is 2 star. Plus they take automatic gratitude 20% iven if you are dineing by yourself
Ordered to-go: Sizzling duck is VERY dry without the sauce, and the portion was small for $20 (half duck=just legs). Heavenly beef portion was small, but delicious. Seafood combo was small, but amazing flavor. Pad thai was expected size for price and great. Don't really think it was worth the money spent, but if you don't care about price, then it is good. Portion size is definitely the problem here, considering it doesn't even come with some cheap rice and it's pricey, but it's whatever. Will still feed us for a few meals and we made rice at home.
Great service, fantastic food. When I go back to Kent, Washington we will have to go here again.
Great food, great service, always consistent.
Only complaint is while the rest of my family wanted no stars heat wise, I asked for three stars and got no stars.
Great Thai food, my favorite is panang angel wings.
Authentic cuisine. Delicious rice and noodle curries, made with coconut milk not dairy. Mango sticky rice is decadent. And a well rounded cocktail menu makes this place a cozy place to get a bite on a date or with friends
Delicious 😋 Definitely recommend the Tom Yum fried rice!
Great spot for lunch. I had their lunch combo which is an entree with pad Thai. I had the cashew nut stir fry with crispy tofu. Great food.
Nice Thai restaurant. Try their green curry!
A clean and friendly place.
