Buzzy Thai eatery serving ample portions of favorites in the Crossroads Shopping Center food court.
This place has great food! I had the Wonton soup, Gyoza, Crab Rangoon and the Chicken Satay… usually you go to a new place and at least one thing taste “off” but nothing did here. I was very surprised. The waiter was even polite and very kind. It was a nice ambiance and the food came out pretty quick. I would HIGHLY recommend this place for great Thai Food!
Went there with the kids yesterday. We got the panang curry chicken and the chicken gyoza. Both were amazing. We also ended up with leftovers to go.
I frequent here at least once a month for years. I love this place!! Today I got the lunch combo #4 comes with cashew nut chicken, phad thai, and a scoop of white rice. Great deal! My favorite dishes from here are yellow curry, phad thai, cashew nut chicken, and phad Se-Iw. When you're coming here you are supporting a small mom and pop shop. They do everything themselves. Be patient with service because it is only 2 people handling everything. Highly recommend!!
O’Char has been an Issaquah staple for over a decade. This humble, local spot is the place to hit up for classic noodle dishes - some of the best Phad Thai around; super saucy & not too sweet. When I want a thicker noodle, their Pad See Ew dish is my second choice. You also can’t go wrong with any of their fried apps (they actually travel pretty well for takeout)!
This place is terrible. The food is sub par. The service sucks. He messed up 3 or if the 4 things we ordered. Argued with me about it. Charged us extra and you can’t even read the receipt. I will never step foot in this place again. Avoid it.
Not good. Dont order the beef 🤮 tofu wasnt cooked. Brought the wrong dishes. Terrible dining experience.
Don't get food from here on slow days. They clearly used ingredients that weren't fresh and we all got stomach pain after eating here on Feb 23.

Bad food bad service. Won’t be going back.

This place sucks. The food is blah, the service is bad, definitely the worst Thai place I’ve been to in the area.
This place is not good. Bad service. Below average food. Avoid it.

Unpretentious, but cozy, and the food is very good!
Hardly thai food
Worst papaya salad I've had in my life. Hardly any flavor. Can't even tatse any lime. And the papaya is old.
This place is amazing. Food quality is Excellent. Taste is so good, healthy and yummy. Great service and hospitality.
Will definitely come again.
Such delicious food!!! The flavors are so authentically Thai, bold, and tasty. I really loved the chicken salad. The vegetables are crispy and the dressing has such a layered flavor that is perfectly balanced. The wait staff are kind, personable, and welcoming. Highly recommend.
Wife and I ordered via GrubHub. Massaman Beef curry, jasmine rice (they charge) and Phad See Eiw. The Massaman curry tasted pretty good but it was super watery and the beef in it was a super cheap and tough cut of meat. The Phad See Ew was flavorless. The best thing we got was the Jasmine rice, which really says it all.
Always good
O'Char has consistently great food. They're one of my favorite restaurants in Issaquah
We are very impressed with the owners courtesy, the quality and flavor of the food, and the ambiance of this little gem tucked away in a oversized mall.
Ordered their Goong Ochar which said it came with shrimp and their veggie lovers which says comes with your choice of meat and they charged us an extra $8 on each dish. Saying it was because of the meat and shrimp. Won't be coming here again.
This was a wonderful experience! They are very safe and accommodating to gluten sensitivities! Highly recommend.
The staff was very nice and the food was delicious!
Best place to vegetarian thai in Washington, HAND DOWN!!!!
Their Tom Kha is my favorite.

Super quick and very good food!! Definitely recommend!
The best place in Issaquah. I like Tom Kha and Lemongrass chicken 👍👍👍
Good food , excellent service.
Best phad tai sauce of all their restaurants, and many others. Great treat after shopping in the super busy warehouse next door...

Very mediocre taste, no where close to the awesome O'char thai of Crossroads, Bellevue.
Great food, lots of flavor and large portion sizes for the price. They're always very nice and kind.
I ordered my take-out online at 6:13 pm. The application they use for receiving the orders said that our dinner would be ready at 6:30 pm. It seems that the way they process their orders was transferring from the app to a handwritten receipt. That system is so inefficient because there were people who showed up well after I did who received their food first.
I waited over 45 minutes past my promised time to receive a green curry and duck dish with NO RICE. This was my first time ordering from this restaurant. I think it will be a while before I order Thai from the Issaquah O’Char Thai Cuisine again.
This was the best Thai food I have ever had!!
New favorite
We had some of the best Thai food here. Particularly loved the spring rolls, pineapple fried rice and seafood lard na. There was some ingredient in papaya salad that didn’t work for us and they were happy to take it back and cancel it. Great hospitality.
My favorite overall Thai spot by far for well over a decade now. Great food. Great family. Greatest peanut sauce around. Never disappointed.
Our absolute favorite Thai restaurant in Washington and better than any we have found in California. We love the Spicy Thai Noodle Soup. We go to O’char at least twice every time we come back to visit the Seattle area.
Excellant food at a good price.
Very cool
Some dishes were good - panang curry, spicy very and tom yummy soup, others like the pad see yew were just ok service ok.
Pad thai was good, noodles were soft and flavorful but lacked garnish. I had only one green onion shoot in my phad Thai and no bean sprouts to speak of.
Always an excellent meal!!!
Good food nice people it's good overall
Not very busy, but the food was delicious (take out. We had penang with pork and eggplant with chicken.
Lot of hair in our food. First and last time ordering food from here.
Hair ... lots of hair in the rice. Yuck. Hygiene standards are clearly questionable. This was my first time ordering food from this place and definitely the last.
Fantastic lunch there today. Takeout. Chicken red curry cooked just right, veggies not overcooked, sauce flavorful. Next time I will ask for more spicy. Came with a large side of pad thai and rice. So full! Mongolian beef was also excellent. Beef tender.
Really enjoyed the meal!
Their food is AMAZING! One of my new favorite places.
The Panang Curry - Beef is the best I've ever had. Ever. Anywhere. I'll keep going back for the Panang.
Been coming here for decades! Very hard working friendly family! I love their Thai noodle soup! No traffic or distance holds me back from visiting Ochar in Issaquah. Top of my list! I recommend them to everyone I know and they all say the same! Thank you Ochar!
Let me start off by saying that I have eat thai food from all over the country, from places that the cools are second and third generation thai restaurant chefs from Thailand. We ordered Tofu Panang curry, Tofu pineapple fried rice, tofu phad thai, and Mongolian beef. The curry was good but not great and half the portion size of every other place at their price point and did not even come with steamed rice. The pineapple fried rice was a bland at best with very little tofu or pineapple, the portion size is just ok. The phad thai was slightly sweet noodles with no other depth or flavor and only a couple scraps of tofu, by far one of the worst phad thai I have ever had. The Mongolian beef had the best flavor of all the dishes and it was only ok but the portion size didn't come close to a meal. There was approximately 1 oz of beef with about 1.5-2 cups of onions, carrots and sauce. All in all this meal cost me $58 plus tip for an attempt at a meal for my family of four but in actuality it was a meal for 2.5 people at best.
Pretty good! The Tom Kha isn't the best, but the spicy peanut soup is good and so are the fresh rolls and the sticky rice.
Great food
Great food and super friendly service. My favorites are the cashew chicken and the red curry. I usually get an extra portion of rice so one dish makes a decent meal for an adult and two young kids.
The only place for delicious Thai yellow curry and chicken satay. Their chicken is always so fresh and tender, not over cooked like those other places. Generous portion sizes and polite service.
Ordered the Phad Se-lw and papaya salad, and both were delicious. I'm very picky about Pad See Ew and have found very few Thai places that make it to my liking. This one hit the spot for flavor. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll know where to go for it.
This place is by far the best Thai resturant I have ever eaten at! The service is wonderful, and the owner is very personable! I can honestly say that no other Thai place can compare to Ochar in Issaquah!
The service was lame and slowly, can't believe it took 30 minutes of waiting for just two lunch combo, even my neighbor's 80 yr old grandma could serve meal faster.
The most important reason I gave 1 star is because there is no way to give 0 star if I want to leave the comment.
By the way, I ordered "Lemon Grass Chicken", not "Philippines Pagpag chicken", I'm typing this comment while I still stay on my toilet for the 3rd time after this lunch, the food looks terrible, and it taste terrible like someone just smashed the frog, and then mix it with my PE teacher's shoes in elementary school.
I suggest people who said it was good Thai food, save some money and then fly to Bangkok, go try some real Thai food, then come back and try this place.
No comparison no harm, Amen.
We go at last once a month. It's one of our favorite places for lunch. So what if the menu isn't 100% Thai. So far I've liked everything we've tried ... from Pad Thai to tempura, to their wonton soup, fried rice, teriyaki chicken snd crab rangoon.
Good service, food and price. I had a lunch combo of red curry and pad thai for $11.95. Both were quite tasty.
Good
Good quality thai
Excellent flavor. Slow service at lunch. The Phad Thai is tamarind based, instead of ketchup based. The vegetables and proteins are fresh.
One of my favorite thai places and the owners are so friendly
The best
Love the noodles! Always great!
Waited more than 30 minutes for a to-go order that tasted subpar at best and was clearly hastily dumped in the container. Overall just dissapointed, because I've had better experiences at their other locations. Wasn't going to write a review until I saw how poor the food was I got after such a long wait. But overall I do like this place, so it was probably a one time thing.
Great quick Thai for lunch!
I love the food at this restaurant. My favorites are the Chicken Cashew Nuts, Green Curry with Chicken and Chicken Satay to name a few. Also the service has been great for the past several years.
Food was good.
Maybe I did not order the right dish. I have tried pad Thai in various Thai restaurant in Seattle area, this is the worst. The dish is rather a sweet and sour fried noodle, not Thai taste at all. I could not see a single basil in it. The sauce is just too sweet for me to finish.
Best Thai food I've eaten , fantastic food and service
Has been nearly 15 or so years since I was there almost daily but is still today the place I judge all other Thai food against
I remember the place fondly - they often - to the dismay of my wife would have my food ready before she even ordered
My Son is stationed in Silverdale and I hope we get a chance to visit
I found this special place over 11 years ago. It is by far the best Thai restaurant around. My mom is from Thailand so I am a bit picky and usually won't eat out for thai.
If you have the chance, this place is worth trying! I moved 20 miles away a couple years ago and still pop in any time I can! Its that good in my opinion.
This is our favorite place to go for Thai food. It may not be fancy, but the overall flavors have been the best in the area. Prices are reasonable too. The family that runs it is lovely and friendly. The service and food have been consistently great for years. Easy to get to and plenty of parking.
We liked the food, and the service.
This is a small and cozy family run thai food place, nothing fancy, but good food, nice people and service. We've been going there for probably more than 10 years. Really love it!
We eat here almost weekly. Love it. Needs a stamp card or coupons
Nice service. It's eddible. But bland, lacking anything fresh, and overall Americanized goop.
My basil dish had one basil leaf. The spice tray is a squeeze bottle of chilli paste.
And the bathroom looks like it is a bathroom on a mechanic's facility. Every surface has dirt stains that make you seriously consider the rest of the joint.
There are at least two more authentic and fresher Thai places within 2 miles.
This family owned restaurant has been in the area for a long time. Delicious, affordable Thai food to dine in or take out! Favorites include Pad Thai, Black Rice Pudding with coconut milk and Coconut Ice Cream with ground peanuts - mix them together for dessert!
I had the spicy basil noodles, number 11. It was really good. My good pal had the spicy noodle soup at 4 stars, he likes it but it wasnt as spicy as he was hoping ( I think it was really spicy, but he wants to seem like a tough guy so he always says things arent spicy enough) . We both give it 4 baby squirrels out of 5 baby turtles. We will return. Stay tuned.
Family run thai place with the BEST THAI IN WASHINGTON!! Yea, I said it.. If you're tired of the lack of flavor most wa restaurants provide, go to O'Char. The environment, food and service is all beyond belief.
Great food, love the Red Curry Soup
Their servings are getting way smaller they only give you about half the chicken pad Thai that they use too the other half they just throw in a bad salad.
Consistently good food.
