Easygoing establishment supplying familiar Thai dishes such as pad thai & curries, plus beer & wine.
This is one of Issaquah’s local gems. The food here is authentic, no flavor is extremely overpowering, everything is just very subtle and delicious. We have been regulars here since moving to Issaquah.
It is safe to say it definitely doesn’t have a party atmosphere, it feels more like a place for a slow Sunday dinner with close family and we love it!
Probably the best crispy garlic chicken i've had out of all the thai places i've been to! The chicken pad thai was delicious as well and the mango sticky rice was incredible. I was just surprised by how expensive it was! Thai food is always expensive but this seemed more expensive than normal. $52.68 for 3 dishes. The food was TOP NOTCH though. If I were a richer man I would go back all the time but I probably won't because i'm cheap haha.
We came in about 30 minutes before they closed after being on the road all day exploring the North Cascades National Park and we're so hungry! They told us they were shutting the kitchen down in 15 minutes so we ordered quickly. The food came out fast and was delicious! I got chicken pad Thai and my wife got chicken pad see ew. Both were fantastic.
Amazing place to have thai food. Not a single dish was disappointing. We tried the papaya salad, chicken satay, cashew honey chicken, thai basil noodles and the pineapple fried rice. Special mention to the cashew chicken and the peanut sauce that accompanies the chicken satay. Absolute best. Also, their spice levels are not that spicy. So even if it says hot, expect it to be not that spicy so go for very hot.
Visit 2: Though the food was great, it lacked the ahaa factor, which was there the first time we visited. May be there has been some changes in kitchen or whatever the reason, I noticed some differences. We tried coco tofu and pad thai, which were both decent.
Came to this spot for takeout. The restaurant is very small but clean, the prices are reasonable and the food was ready quickly. I’m giving 4 stars because I wasn’t impressed with the customer service, the vibe was off but at least everything I ordered was delicious! I ordered the chicken pad Thai, Flute roll and the Golden Coco Prawn-see menu photo for details.
This was a nice clean restaurant. They have sit down with table service or take out. The menu has lots of options. The Honey Cashew Chicken was delicious, so crispy! The Pad Thai didn't have a peanut sauce, instead it was sweet. I didn't love that but it still tasted alright.
Got take out. Our green chicken curry was wonderful. I think this is the best of the 3 Thai restaurants in the greater Issaquah area. It's a bit out of the way and easy to miss when driving by, but well worth seeking out.
Coconut Thai in Issaquah is a fantastic spot for lunch or dinner! The food is consistently delicious, and the service matches the quality of the meals—always attentive and friendly.
I had my usual lineup: the Tom Kha soup, which was perfectly balanced and flavorful, chicken Pad Thai at 3-star heat (just the right kick for me), and my favorite, the chicken Panang Curry, which was rich, creamy, and absolutely satisfying.
If you’re a fan of Thai food, I highly recommend giving this place a try. It’s a go-to for me, and I always leave happy with the meal and the experience.

Great food and super nice staff..... We were the only ones there and it was a late dinner but they treated us like royalty
The food here is some of the best Thai food we have ever eaten. Curries were perfect and the stir fry excellent.
My Panang curry was delicious

Highly recommend coming here. The staff were kind and the food was super yummy.
Thank you for helping us today :)

I love to support local business!! The service was wonderful! Very friendly young man at the counter! But the food was not even close to as good as before!! Hope you step it up again!!
Excellent Thai food. Limited seating. Minimal service. The place was very busy.
Coconut Thai is by far our favorite Eastside Thai food restaurant! It’s such a rarity that Tom Kha soup is made correctly, and this place nailed it tonight. The Panang Curry is 5 stars, and the service was poised and extraordinary (thank you, Pam)!
The twice cooked duck was very good.
Best crispy garlic chicken I've ever had.
This is a very good Thai restaurant. The crispy cashew chicken is delicious and somewhat unique to coconut thai.
Delicious food, delivered fast. The ambiance was lovely with soft jazz music. It was a great dinner spot for our family with children. Can’t wait to go back and try something else on their inventive yet classic menu.
I placed an in-person order for 4 fried rice, 3 no meat, and 1 chicken. I received 3 chicken and drove back to my hotel. Once we discovered the order was wrong, we called back and explained the issue. I drove back to the restaurant where they refunded me for the first 3 and re-charged me for the other four. I didn't say anything but I would definitely had expected no additional charge for myself having to go through all the extra effort for a mistake made by the restaurant. Definitely won't come back for that reason. It should had been on the house.
Our stomach was hurting I don't know
Great food, super nice staff
Great food, good prices, good service, and music was peaceful but quiet enough.
We had a wonderful time with family. Food was delicious, owners were so very nice. We will be back.
this place Rocks. Nest on the Easside. Keep up the good stuff. 👍

Don't get up to Issaquah all that often, but I stopped here for lunch. Got the panang curry, and it was probably the best panang sauce I've ever had. I can't put my finger on what the different flavor was that made it unique, but I highly recommend trying it.
The dining area was small but very cozy. Service was friendly and prompt. The only downside is you have to fight Front St traffic, which always seems to be a disaster. Despite that, well worth it.
This will not be my last visit here. I'm already looking forward to what to try next time.
This was our first time visiting Coconut Thai. We had a group of four and ordered 4 things from the menu to share family style. Everything was very good. Their fresh garden rolls were amazing! We will definitely go there again.
Great little place for Thai food in Issaquah. Lots of coconut themed dishes and desserts. Unfortunately they didn't have the coconut cupcake so I'll be coming back for that haha.
Had the Tom Kha (coconut soup) and it had a lot of coconut flavor, broth was delicious. Father order the pad Thai and he liked it as well. Overall good, will be stopping by again and updating if the desserts and curry are good.
Literally the best Thai food I have ever had in the United States. And I’ve tried a lot of Thai restaurants (even visited Thailand 🇹🇭 for a summer). The crispy duck is CRAVE-ABLE. I’ve been wanting to go back and eat it again since we went here two days ago 😂 We also ordered the crispy food sampler and that was *chef’s kiss* 😘 Y’all! You’d be missing out if you don’t come here and eat.
Absolutely incredible food. Stopped for a quick bite with the family. Will be back next time we are in Seattle
Incredible Pad Thai and friendly people
This was really good thai food. I admit I went there just because it was close to where I was shopping but I will be returning because I loved their food. I am already craving more their crispy chicken and pad see eiw. They even brought my order out to my car. Great place!
Horrible food! Would not come back.
Delicious food and you get your money’s worth. Definitely underrated and I highly recommend
Stopped for some Thai food on our way back to the east side of the mountains. We were so pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Phad kee Mao w Tofu and the Rama dish were excellent. We’ll definitely stop back through here again next time.
Pad Thai is very flavorful
Always a wonderful place to have some wonderful food. Love this place hands down one of the best thai places around the area
Maybe Thai foods are different according to the regions. Here the food did not taste like Thai food.. and the chicken in the soup and salad was smelly..
Other than that it was ok
Very pleasant and satisfying dining experience. Very good food and I loved the coconut drink that is served in a real coconut!
Good place for quick lunch. Can have a hearty food.
Best Tasting Thai food with A+ ingredients in all of Issaquah neighborhood. Must try are Honey cashew nut chicken(perfect tasting of sweet savouriness) andant variety of fried rice
Absolutely loved my green curry dinner from Coconut Thai! Called the order in and the gal taking my order was so helpful. I will certainly be back!!
If you have not been to Coconut Thai in Issaquah Front Street - then you are missing out on a gastronomical treat! This is a quaint little restaurant as you enter front street. But don't judge the treat for your tummy by the size of this place. Every item on the menu here is great!
Recently, we were here. We got the usual thai iced tea to start with.
We ordered Tom Kha and Garden Fresh Rolls. The Tom Kha was not a heavy coconut milk soup like the other places. This one was light, flavorful with galangal and lightly tangy. The garden fresh roll was just out of this world. The nice touch to it was the crispy wonton inside it.
For the main course, we ordered two noodle dishes - Chili Basil Noodle and Kee Mao. They both look pretty similar except for a few extra vegetables in Kee Mao. Both are made of flat rice noodles. But the flavor is quite different in both. The tomato in Kee Mao puts a good spin to your taste buds. The crispy basil in Chili Basil Noodles makes it burst with sweet and subtle peppery flavor. You cannot go wrong with either of them.
We are almost full but could not resist their dessert of the day - Sticky Rice with Mango. If you see this - you must have this, Excellent dessert. The mango was ripe and sweet complementing the sticky rice smothered with coconut milk. I wish there was more coconut milk on the rice.
Overall, tummy happy when we left. The prices are very reasonable.
Like you have your favorite song on your playlist, you MUST have this place on your favorite places to go.
Excellent choice for Thai food. Totally crispy garlic chicken is a favorite. Curries and noodles are very good.

Delicious!
Curries, fried rice, noodle dishes, apps - all taste good. Takeout orders are prompt as well. While not spectacular, it is good, solid Thai food, with consistent quality. Would have rated 3.5 starts if the system allowed, but 4 it is.
Food was outstanding. Ordered "totally crispy garlic chicken". And it was totally crispy and totally delicious! Service was great, too. Very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.
This is one of the better Thai restaurants in the Issaquah area. Food was flavorful, delicious even for my vegetarian Pad Kee Mao.
A small but cozy restaurant, Coconut Thai 's staff offers polite and good service.
I look forward to my next visit!
Exceeded my expectations with each selection gourmet food. My dad at 87 old was very impressed.
Had Pad Kee Mau with pork and Totally Garlic Chicken. Two of my favorites. Erik did his usual outstanding job cooking them.
Wish I had tried this spot out sooner. Never disappointed.
This place is too good! We ordered rock and roll as appetizer, Tong yum soup, chili basil noodles, salmon green curry - everything was extremely delicious so we just stuffed ourselves in without taking any photos. Recommended!!
This was a nice clean restaurant. They have sit down with table service or take out. The menu has lots of options. The Honey Cashew Chicken was delicious, so crispy! The Pad Thai didn't have a peanut sauce, instead it was sweet. I didn't love that but it still tasted alright.
Such a great restaurant! Pad Thai and Kee Mao were great!!!! I’ll come back again for sure!
Great Thai food 👌 definitely will return 😋 Got take out.
We ordered chicken satay, lamb with eggplant, Tom kha soup and salmon curry. Each dish was very tasty and tasted very fresh and authentic. No over seasoning. It's one of our favorite Thai places in this area.
My favorite Thai restaurant, and many gluten free options for Celiacs. Highly recommend.
loved their Rad-na. Great service.
Fast and yummy! Easy drop off the freeway.
Small, unpretentious little eatery with excellent authentic food and service.
Second time getting pad Thai here and it was burnt. Tasted like a dirty stove top :(
The other time I went and it was good. the potential is there but not worth risking another burnt order for me
Always delicious and great service~
Stopped for takeout for long drive east of mountains. Service was awesome - since there's not a seated waiting area, she brought the order out to my car when ready. The phad thai was the blandest version I've ever had other than being a bit overly sweet. One star meant NO heat at all, under salted and hardly any other flavor than the sweet. Ate just enough to take the edge off my hunger, then saved the rest to add flavor when I got home.
Great food
Quick and amazingly yummy.
Totally Crispy Garlic Chicken is super decadent. Also try swapping the noodles out for the vegetables the Rama Shower Noddles.
Stopped in for an affordable Thai Iced Tea and tried the Mango with sweet sticky rice. It was the absolute best. Sweet tooth solved. Will be back.
During our recent visit to Issaquah we had the opportunity to try Coconut Thai. What a wonderful little Thai place! We got takeout and they even threw in some soup for us to try.
My husband ordered the duck and it was incredible, I had pad thai which was very good as well, and we split a mango sticky rice that we both enjoyed.
I wish we still lived in Seattle so we could visit Coconut Thai more often, they’re truly wonderful.
Great food. We had party of 7 , all ordered different things but all of them were great. Everyone loved it.
Deft will come back and refer this place to my friends.
I specially liked the pineapple red curry with prawns.
Most adorable and clean little Thai place with great air circulation (can’t even smell the cooking). I ordered green curry and it’s fantastic! Strawberry lemonade is handmade and delicious. No that one star is slightly spicy, so go for zero if you’re spice avoidant. Spectacular service. Can’t wait to come back and try it with family and friends!
Reading through some of the reviews it seems that people are confusing Google stars with Michelin restaurant stars. They’ll talk about how excellent the food and service are then give four stars. 🤷♀️
Great food and very personal service
The lamb curry was amazing.
Great food . Conveniently located. Friendly staff.
Very good Thai food in Issaquah. We tried variety of food and everything was delicious. Place was not crowded as it had just opened. Everything was customized and made to order. We couldn't get the Thai coconut cup cake which is one of the best cup cakes you can find anywhere.
Great little restaraunt. Authentic Thai food, always fresh and delicious. Service is very good too. Highly recommend!
We thought the Pad Thai was just okay. It was sweeter than we are used too. The waitress was not very friendly when we came in 30 minutes until closing. She said we had to get takeout as they were closing soon but her boss overruled her. We ate our dinner and left before all the other people who got there before us.
I would recommend every one checkout the bill charged on credit card. I have seen my card was charged more than 12$ what I have paid.
Went yesterday with a party of 5 for dine-in. Ample parking, convenient location, and no wait at 6:30 on a Thursday. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and quick without feeling rushed. Food came out tasty and HOT - loved it!
I had the honey cashew chicken & highly recommend. Others had the pad Thai and basil noodle and also enjoyed. I also indulged on Thai Iced Tea and can gladly report it did not taste like soap, like some other places nearby do.
My new favorite Thai place in Issaquah!
Best thai in Issaquah hands down. Slowly making my through the menu and everything has been delicious! My favorites do far are the curry and the honey cashew nut chicken.
Good food, both taste and quantity served. Nice friendly staff, clean set up and quick service. Will go again.
Love Thai food from this place. The twice cooked duck is fantastic.
Excellent restaurant with a friendly and attentive staff. The Crispy Garlic Tofu is amazing. Coconut Thai is always in the running when I'm thinking about Thai food in Issaquah.
Love coming here after hiking. The service is quick, staff is amazing and very friendly, and the food is great and is priced reasonably!
Amazing Thai food! Loved everything we ordered, phad thai, phad see eiw and cashew chicken with crispy chicken! Best food! This place uses the flavors for these classics that I love most. My boyfriend tried the coco tofu and love it, of course he “hated” tofu but had never tried…If only it was in Seattle!
You will not be disappointed!
Such tasty Thai food and quick service.
Have really enjoyed their food in the past, but have been unable to order as the phone just rings when you call. No one picks up, no voicemail. Their hours everywhere say they should be open and the only way to order take out is to call, but then no one answers.
We had a Pad Thai and a curry dish. 2 stars was just right..not so hot. We could actually taste the food. And it was delicious. Dine In.
Service was great and it wasn't busy on a Thursday afternoon around 1:30. We got the pad kee mao and lunch combo 4 (which has a lot of peanut sauce). For drinks we got the Singha beer and iced tea with coconut milk (it was a little too sweet for me though). The food and service were spectacular. It is a small place so I can imagine it can get busy!
Ordered takeout of crispy garlic chicken, Phad Thai and tofu curry , Chicken very dry and kinda over fried but the front desk was friendly.
I'm a Loco Butt Guy for Coconut Thai
I have been ordering from here now for over 4 months almost every week, the food has been consistently great. I highly recommend the crispy garlic chicken, the pad thai, and the Penang curry with rice. I generally order on spice level 4 but of course you can choose anything you like.
Arguably the best Thai food on the East Side. Tucked away in a rather awkward location and with a non-exotic name, it's easy to overlook this small gem of a restaurant but you'd be missing out if you did. Every dish we have ordered here has a rich flavor and special touches like the fried roti (bread) included with the curries takes it over the top. The prices are in line with most other Thai restaurants in the Issaquah area but with much higher quality food. It doesn't offer a high-end dining experience like Bai Tong just up the hill, but better food, better prices, friendlier service, and less fuss wins for us any day of the week. Highly recommended.
Everyone loved their food, said it was some of the best Thai food they have had.
Been twice. Food is OK. Not very pet friendly even if pet is in a bag. I recommend Bai Tong in Tukwila.
Fantastic! Great food, easy to locate.
I always seem to order the pad Thai (sooo good!) but got a variety this time since eating out with friends. The crispy chicken was amazing; the pad see eww was delicious; again, the pad Thai never fails: and the chili basil noodle dish was delightful with enough heat to make me salivate and spoon more food in my mouth! There was also an appetizer called the flute egg roll - fried, with crab and cream cheese stuffing - such a heart attack goodness! Glad I don't eat out much but quite an explosion in the taste buds when you visit this place. Servers are attentive and the place is clean; something else to appreciate in any restaurants!
The food was delicious, love the Pad Thai!!! Service was great too...
Get the Pineapple Cashew Chicken Curry! Make it 3 star!
No matter what you’re getting, it’s always fresh and taste good . Probably the best hot basil chicken around ! A must go when you’re in the area
We appreciated the lunch menu selections, friendliness of staff and cleanliness of the restaurant. The Brussels sprouts and broccoli with shrimp was excellent. My fried chicken was delicious tasting although a few pieces were over cooked unfortunately. The fresh spring roll with peanut sauce was really good. I do prefer the ones with shrimp in them but it was like a salad accompaniment to my deep fried food which I liked and made me feel a little better about having some healthier food on my plate. 😋 Nice booths and bathrooms here too. We would eat here again.
Rice portion not much with lunch special.
I came on a Friday evening with a friend and I ordered pad kee mao with tofu, spicy level 4 (highest one). We took it to a nearby park to enjoy, and it was pretty good. Noodles were chewy and everything had a great flavor, could've done with more vegetables though. Actually, could've done with more of everything; portions were pretty small for $12 pre-tax. No indoor dining due to covid which is fine, food came out pretty quickly.
Awesome food. Really flavorful and never greasy. Small local business. Great prices. What's not to love?
Pad Thai veg with Tangy sauce on bottom is excellent. Must try
Basil fried rice is okay. Wish they use more spicy basil.
Always delicious, always fresh ingredients & wonderful staff!
Good tasting, portions were smaller than we expected, but the price was good. We'll go back and just order more next time.
We live in the Renton Highlands and drive to this place because it is our favorite Thai restaurant. That should give an indication of how good it is. The Phad Thai and Phad See Ew are my favorites and they make a great Thai Iced Tea as well.
Great food... try the pad sewee
great food
Hands down my favorite pad see eiw ever. Their other selections are fantastic as well, so try them out too. I've been to plenty of other thai places in the area that don't even begin to come close to how mind-blowing this place is. I recommend this restaurant to everybody and their cousin. If you're looking for a restaurant to get takeout from during the pandemic, this is it.
Good, but pretty underwhelming. There are a couple much better Thai restaurants only a couple minutes away that have way better food at the same price point.
This review is for awhile back. This place should be on your bucket list to start off with. Came here with my (old) boss on a beautiful afternoon, we were craving some Thai food and Coconut Thai had a good reputation in the area.
They gave you vegetable baby bokchoi soup in the beginning to try out their soup broth. The taste of the soup reminds me of home (in Hong Kong).
11 tables total in this restaurant, it's a small restaurant. BUT, their food is really good. Try the 'Lord Noodle' (one of the chef specialties and one of the street food items you find in Thailand), the noodles are very fresh and it was very flavorful. I highly recommend it.
I also tried the Tom Kha, it's one of the two famous soup in Thai restaurants. I personally didn't like it very much because the lemongrass flavor in the soup was way too strong for it, i was expecting the soup to be on the sweet side but it turns out that it was a bit sour.
We also had the spring rolls for appetizer and they were very delicious. The warm cream cheese on the inside plus the sauce that comes with it, ohhhh I can order 10 of these at once lol.
Curry was the main good item. 2nd chance for the place. Too many other good ones compared to this place.
What a gem!
Warmly welcomed when we arrived. Placed our to-go order.
The thai iced tea with coconut milk was divine!
The lunch combo of veggie pad thai/cashew nut was delicious.
My partner had the veggie pad thai/red curry. The red curry sauce was wonderfully spiced. The coconut stood out.
What a treat while our van was being repaired!
Cheers!
