The cuisine of Thailand is as exotic and subtle, as it is healthy and delicious. Using ingredients that are fresh, timeless, traditional and well tested, the food of our ancient Kingdom blends into an exquisite and wholesome harmony, that culminates in an alchemy of delight, taste and surprise.
Addison Readers’ Choice Award 2019 for Favorite Thai Restaurant. Appreciation from Thai Community and Temple for various charities in Dallas.
We, at Thai Orchid Restaurant, would like to extend our sincere welcome to you to enjoy a full variety of authentic Thai cuisine. We are a family owned and have been serving DFW since 1999. We hope that you enjoy our hospitality!
I had high hopes for the Thai fried rice, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. I requested a high spice level, but when the dish was served, it was overly sweet. After I raised a complaint, they adjusted the dish, but the second version was bland with no spice at all. If you’re a vegetarian, I wouldn’t highly recommend the dishes here based on this experience. The flavor balance just wasn’t there for me.
This was a takeout order for dinner. I ordered Tom Yum Fries, Edamame, Beef Red Curry, Yum Nua Beef Salad, and for dessert- Mango with Sticky Rice. I was able to call the restaurant directly to order my meals. The person who handled the call was easy to understand and very friendly. I waited in the parking lot until my order was ready in about 15 minutes. The food was hand delivered to my car which was great! The food was traditional Thai cuisine and hit the spot! The food can be adjusted to the spice level that you are most comfortable with. The dessert was perfect! This is definitely on my list for takeout when you are wanting something better than fast food for dinner.
🤤Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mao) and the Mango and Sticky Rice are my favorites! I’m picky about drunken noodles and theirs was really good. The mango was fresh and perfect ripeness, and the sticky rice and coconut milk sauce were delicious. Order while it lasts since mango season is almost over. The host/waiter was very friendly and the wait time for takeout was only about 10-15 min. 👌🏼
Delicious food. We usually have leftovers, but this time, we cleaned the plates . Not as spicy as I hoped it to be, but overall, it's still good.
We ordered the Orchid Sampler, Pad Gratien Pilk, Som Tom, and Pad Kee Mao. My favorite would have to be the Pad kee Mao. It wasn't the thick noodles we were expecting for, but the taste was exquisite. The sampler was a tad small, might have been better to order the other appetizers' dishes individually. The som tom did not have the spice level I was looking for, but it was tasty and fresh.
Nice atmosphere, seemed a bit on the fancy side when walking in. Plenty of parking. Great service. Our waitstaff, Ivy, she was in training but is very knowledgeable on the food.
I recently dined at this Thai restaurant and overall, it deserves a solid 4-star rating. The veg fried rice was absolutely delicious, packed with flavorful ingredients that left me craving for more. The pad see ew was another standout dish, bursting with delectable flavors. I also highly recommend trying their mouthwatering spring rolls. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, adding to the overall dining experience. However, the only disappointment was the Thai satay, as it lacked flavor and was rather bland.
I’ve been here a couple times with my best friend and we always enjoy their food. Nice quiet ambiance for dinner. I’m glad their spicy levels are true Asian spice levels and not white washed . So a level 5 spice here is nose running spicy level which is what we look forward too lol. If you can’t handle Asian spice level get mild. It still has a kick but it’s bare-able for the western culture.
We’ve ate almost everything on the menu. They’re very consistent with their food. We recommend everything.
I had basil fried rice and a cup of Tom kha soup. The rice was hot and fresh and tasted delicious! The soup was creamy and had a lot coconut flavor and I really enjoyed it. We showed up close to the closing time and we asked if it was still okay for us to eat there, and they welcomed us in and were happy to serve us. I will definitely be back, it was an excellent experience!
We love Thai food and I and my fiancé come here frequently! The food is always good and my fiancé gets green curry with fresh tofu and there’s a lot of it on there and it tastes great to sauce is phenomenal at level three! I got a dish called pad Kee Mao and I go with shrimp and I ask for everything to be rare and I have it! It is delicious I’m trying to also post photographs for you to see, But I’m having a hard time with Google on this particular instance because in the past I was able to post photographs and we think you would like them! I am at a loss of words and I am rather wordy, for the attention that this restaurant gives you as a customer!
It’s absolutely wonderful!
It’s now December 27, 2025, and we came here to eat appetizers and finish with mango sticky rice and it was all delicious! Sorry, there weren’t any photographs this time, but next time I promise! Enjoy this restaurant is absolutely wonderful, with a great staff and a great owner!
Good food
This place is decent...food is also decent...small quantities for a high price....too pricey for what you get.
Service was also decent...took a while to get our drinks and food.
Excellent atmosphere, delicious food and spacious!
I was really frustrated to find that they don’t have a diaper changing station. It’s a simple, necessary feature for any family-friendly spot, and its absence made things difficult. I hope they add one soon.
Very tasty, reasonably priced for the area, friendly servers, they won't mess around if you get it spicy haha
My favorite Thai restaurant!!
Best kao soi!!!
I rarely find a Thai restaurant that I don't like..this is a great one! Great service, good food, nice decor.
Excellent food with many choices, everything was good and fresh. Service was prompt and efficient.

Great food, great service . The massaman curry was excellent. Friendly people.
The peanut sauce is amazing so is the staff…great to go staff as well…come see this place!!
I had the Red Curry w/ Rice and it was AMAZING. Service and drinks was great as well. Will definitely recommend to others.
Green Curry, steamed rice with chicken, spicy #5. I like spicy, could have been a bit hotter but had a good kick. Will return to try more of the menu.
Yummy authentic Thai. Highly recommend the pad Thai!
I had high hopes for the Thai fried rice, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. I requested a high spice level, but when the dish was served, it was overly sweet. 2nd time here. Love the food and service was great. Would definitely recommend and will be back when ever I want Thai food in Addison.
This is the best Thai food in Addison. It's family-owned, and you can't go wrong with this place. The menu is great, and the prices are very reasonable.
Not bad for taste
The green curry with shrimp was pretty good, but I ordered it "Thai Hot", and found it a little underwhelming heat wise.
The Thai milk tea was ok, but nothing special.
🤤Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mao) and the Mango and Sticky Rice are my favorites! I’m picky about drunken noodles and theirs was really good. We ordered Door Dash for dinner here while visiting DFW and were BEYOND impressed with the food. We ordered Pad See Ew with beef and it was probably THE BEST Pad See Ew I've ever eaten. Many times, especially here in Texas, it seems that you will order a dish, and for some reason they decide it needs to be Texan'd up, yet I was pleasantly surprised when it WAS NOT. I'm a picky eater and I don't want all of these extra veggies, spices, and such. I want EXACTLY what I order and that's what I got here. The flavor, portion, and overall experience was NEXT LEVEL. You should eat here, you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
This is the best Thai food I've had in Texas! Kelly, our waitress, was very polite and knowledgeable of all the dishes and really helped make our experience special.
Excellent food. If I could give this place a 10 stars I would. Kelly our waitress was super kind and knowledgeable. Music was great. Ambiance is so friendly and cozy. Highly recommend. Best Thai food in the area. Hands down
One of the best Thai restaurants. Basil Fried Rice is top notch. Potstickers and green curry were good too.
Great place to eat, staff is wonderful! Honestly, the food is delicious and the portions are very generous! My only complaint is even though the men’s room is kept very clean (which I appreciate!), it is also hot as can be (like 110 degrees!) in there! Even if you just go in to wash your hands you are going to start sweating! Otherwise, a lovely place to eat and I expect to be back many times!
The food was amazing! We savored the curry chicken, Thai basil, pineapple fried rice, orchid curry, and red curry with chicken. Absolutely no complaints!
Got to sit down and eat with a good friend from work here. Food was absolutely great. I recommend the Tom Yum Fries, they were fantastic. Staff said that the Cheese Rangoon did not contain meat (vegetarian here) and upon inspection you will notice some small added bits (see owner response, confirmed this is bell pepper) which also tasted great! I got the Tofu Yellow Curry and it was excellent! I also had the Tom Yum soup which was also nice and flavorful! I love that they were able to accommodate vegetarians with a wide range of options!
I LOVE Thai Orchid!! I’ve been coming here for a year and eat weekly. They are fast, great service and all the employees, including Kat is just wonderful! The food is the best Thai I’ve had- particularly their pad Thai, Thai delight, sample appetizer platter, and green curry. Will continue to come here weekly. Thank you!
Great food way to slow should not take two hours to dine here.
Awesome good and great service! Everything is fresh and delicious!
Nothing stood out in terms of the food taste or service. Just another Thai restaurant.
In a realm of flavors, Thai food divine,
Spices dance, harmonies entwine.
Live music's melody, a soulful guide,
A feast for senses, hearts open wide.
Amidst this blissful, enchanting place,
Where taste and tunes meet in perfect grace.
I’ve been to many Thai restaurants around the Dallas area and this by far is the best one.
Best yellow curry in Dallas. My wife gets their drunken noodles and that’s very tasty too! Servers are always very kind and attentive.
I always make sure to stop by if I’m in the area.
I had basil fried rice and a cup of Tom kha soup. The rice was hot and fresh and tasted delicious! The soup was creamy and had a lot coconut flavor and I really enjoyed it. Delicious food every time! Amazing garlic Thai chicken
Food is amazing you have to try the dumplings....omg
We take out from Thai Orchid regularly. Usually the yellow curry. It’s so good!
Appetizers are not fully cooked. Waiters are not friendly
Employees are very rude and very mean. They don’t know what they are doing. They will tell you something that is not true. Stay away from this restaurant or you will be waiting for a simple order for over an hour. Management does not care about customers.
Thai basil fried rice was good.
Great food--great service! We ordered twice this month and were blown away both times. The Pad See EW and Basil fried rice are items that you MUST TRY! We had a very minor issue with Uber Eats, but Sam at Thai Orchid worked things out for us. We are VERY satisfied!
Tasty Thai food with pleasant background music.
The food was fantastic! We ordered taken out pad thai, drunken noodle, and pineapple fried rice. The flavor was great! Everyone was very friendly. We are from out of town but will definitely come back next time we are in Dallas.
We love Thai Orchid! One of many go to spots for Thai cravings, we usually get the Chicken Pad Thai. It's always amazing! We tried the Summer Roll and loved them so much that we get it every time we order.
The Thai Fried Rice was great, with leftovers for lunch the next day. The waiter put my fellow diner's tea on my ticket, and we had to request separate tickets for the table, but it was really busy. All in all, a great experience.
Beat Tom Yum in town. Thai hot is perfect.
Tonight, I got my staples of any Thai restaurant that I go to and they did not let me down. I started off with a cup of Tom Kha Gai (medium spicy) and it was so fresh and delicious. It had plenty of chicken and hearty mushrooms. I also decided to try something new to drink…I went with a glass of the Hana Sake Lychee flavor and it was sooo yummy - it literally tasted Just like the fruit itself! For my main course, I had to get my all-time favorite…Pad See Ew (hottest level of spicy which also came with extra chilis on the side *amazing*). My only complaint was that there was very little broccoli in the dish. I’m a veggie lover so I asked if next time I could request more broccoli and they said of course! So now I know for next time. And even with the amount I got tonight, the pad see ew was still on point. 5 out of 5 stars for Thai Orchid in Addison!! Not to mention their staff is always super friendly :)
Great service
Happy hour has appetizer special. The potstickers were perfect. Coconut soup delicious. Definitely would recommend.
Friends took us here for the first time and it was really good. We ha dBasil fried rice with crab ragoons and curry puffs. Very delicious
Great vibe and the Sampler Appetizer was awesome.
Service here was exceptional. We could tell that there was a new guy in training that was phenomenal and paid attention to detail and asked when unsure. Food came out timely. Hot and delicious
Great place but always busy and food can take some time
Great place for lunch.
The Thai basil is one of the best I've had. The food came out quick and hot. It's a must try!!!
The best Thai food in Dallas
Very tasty Thai food, with the best Pad Kee Mao in Dallas. The friendly service is very attentive and friendly.
Been looking for a good Thai restaurant in Dallas, and this is now my favorite spot. Great food and service. Consider me a regular
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great Asian spicy food
Every dish tasted soooooo yuummmyyyyy yuuuummmmiiilious
They served some chilli oil on table it was so hot and so flavourful
Great staff, very humble and always smiling
Ordered
Pad Woon Sen (Clear Noodle) - very delicious with many flavourful veggies
Kow Pad Grapao (Basil Fried Rice)* - as usual the best
Curry fried rice * - very unique never tried before we all love it
Chicken Lemond wass or Teriyaki - just okay we loved other dishes over this
Great tasting food. The atmosphere is nice and elegant, but at the same time you don't have to be dressed up. I had the spring rolls and broccoli delight. The dish had so much flavor. They really take pride in the quality of food they serve.
The staff was attentive and friendly. The bar had a cozy atmosphere and the food was really on point. Will be back.
Always a great place to eat.
Amazing Thai food! If you're in the area, this place is great! I got summer rolls, seafood fried rice, and mango sticky rice! Summer rolls were great, super refreshing! Seafood fried rice was amazing, add some chili oil and its so perfect! The mango sticky rice was the star of the show, one of my fav sweets! Would recommend and will definitely be back!
Hands down the best Thai place I’ve been too, including Thailand itself.
I have gone here multiple times a week for over 4 years and try to host all of my business lunch and friends to this place. It is a real gem.
Specifically, the green curry is the best thing I’ve had there. Their fried tofu is amazing, curry noodles are fantastic, and the drunken noodles are great.
I’ve been looking for a better Thai place and haven’t found one.
Horrible service...never refill drinks...wait over 15 minutes for check...when restaurant was only 30% full
We arrived 930pm and there were only a few others eating in on a Friday ehich mase it real nice bc service was quick and the atmosphere was nice. I didnt have to yell or talk over others. We had a great date night. And my Mai Tai was everything except the pineapple and cherry could have been better. Canned fruit is not it.
This is one of my favorites.
Pad see ew at lunch was very good.
I wish they had a way to make it spicier, but it's very tasty.
Very friendly staff
Loved the sticky mango rice
Very nice place with great food. I had the pad see ew & it was perfect. My waitress was very attentive and have the best service.
I have been resistant to really start enjoying Thai Orchid since my old favourite Thai restaurant closed down a couple years ago. But I think after years of proving themselves to me I am finally ready to write a 5 star review. They have always prospered through classic Thai dishes and were good at accommodating my gluten-free + vegan needs. The staff is friendly. The curry is silky and aromatic. What more could I ask for?
The only mishap I have had with Thai orchid was a side order of sticky rice missing from a take-out order.
My original perspective was soiled with grief for my old favourite Thai spot. So now that I have reached a phase of acceptance, I would highly recommend the glorious Thai orchid.
very good authentic Thai restaurant must try tom yum soup , Chicken satay and drunken noodles. Finished off with fried ice cream overall a must try. Also liked that food can be made spicier upon request.
Rediscovered this restaurant last month after my regular Thai place was full. Dining room is nice and roomy with excellent food and good service.
Love this place! ❤️ always on point and fresh. Thank you Jim, keep up the great work.
Fantastic place to dine in. The atmosphere that fantastic and the service is great. They never bother you too much but always come in to ask when you need something. Food is awesome, my favorite is the yellow curry with rice but all their other dishes are just as good. Highly recommended, I come here about once every 2 weeks.
I ordered the Thai Orchid Delight and I asked for medium spice and my dish was kinda bland. The dumplings were good and so were the egg rolls.
Great service and some awesome Pad Woon Sen
Food takes forever to come while there are 5 tables at max. I went during dinner 8pm and they were not busy at all. So save your time and go somewhere else.
Food was very good!
Traditional Thai restaurant with pleasing atmosphere, authentic food, and great service.
Delicious drunken noodles. I needed a quick lunch and didn't feel like eating fast food. I was at week long event in the area and needed to get back to my event. Service was quick, food was very delicious, tasted authentic and was served piping hot. I was in and out and ready for my day, fueled with great food.
Really good Thai food. Went in after a standup show and it was right near closing time but they accommodated my party of 3. The staff was quick and efficient and had our food ready within 15 minutes. The food was great , the panang curry with tofu was melt in your mouth delicious.
We’ve ate almost everything on the menu. They’re very consistent with their food. We recommend everything.
Pot stickers, pad Thai and Thai tea were amazing !! Excellent service ! Must visit for authentic Thai food!
During our visit to Dallas, we had dinner at Thai Orchid and were impressed by the exceptional service provided by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food was delicious, especially the yellow curry, and the dessert, sticky mango rice, was presented beautifully, as shown in the pictures. Additionally, the prices were reasonable, and the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend Thai Orchid.
Yesterday 4/22/23 I had a dinner date with my beautiful sister. What fun. We went to Thai Orchid in Addison, Texas. Amazing service what attention. We ended up getting the sampler appetizer platter...great choice. Worth the outting! Yum! We were fighting for the sauces. We enjoyed every bite. We got the thai fried rice asked for no cashews in the mix and specified our heat level. Something happened they didnt add heat. I did get one bite of some pepper and wow that had me chugging a glass of water. As the dinner unwound I took part of my meal home. Re heating it up the following day for lunch tasted even better. I think the service made me give this place a great score. However, they need a better reworking of the fried rice. The service was stellar, my mojito was a bit bland but the attention made it all great. I believe in making fair reviews. The food needs a bit of a kick maybe more attention to flavor, the drink tasted a bit bland. Had the drink tasted better we would have ordered more. Still, I like the place. I would return.
Always a delight to eat here. My favorite Thai restaurant.
Writing this at 3am after waking up and throwing up. Experiencing severe food poisoning so will certainly never eat here again. Eat here at your own risk.
Small portions for the price. Not much flavor. I only went here because they were open until 10. I won't return. I got pad see ew and fried rice.
My order was taken by the uber driver so I had to wait for my order to be remade. The food is amazing.
A nice and welcoming restaurant conveniently open all Saturday afternoon. A very complete menu with Soups, Rice, Noodles and desserts. I had the Tom Kha Soup which was good and tasty. I also had the Pad Kee Mao noodles which was rather plain, I truly expected more flavor or texture. The service was very friendly and helpful
Fantastic food. Fantastic service. Peaceful ambiance. Very accommodating for us 4 adults and 3 kids. Attentive to detail staff. Clean and tidy interior. Everything but lemongrass chicken was fantastic. Fried rice, Pad see ew, stir fry pork, and appetizer combo were all great. The menu is fairly priced. Plenty of drinks options. Tip added for big parties (we added more tips for great service).
Solid 4 star
Came through for a late lunch.
Chose a spring roll add to the Red Curry lunch special, picking pork as the protein. Requested Thai hot.
Egg roll was very hot and crispy, great ingredients. The dipping sauce was perfect.
The main dish was lighter in color than red curries I’ve had before but the flavor was truly perfect. Slightly sweet and creamy, nice bite to the spice. Not quite Thai hot but probably hotter than many are comfortable with.
Definitely a recommended stop if you live in the area or travel through.
Crispy Basil Salmon is addictive, but I like it better delivery than dine in because the sauce and veggies come separate from the crispy salmon and not on top.
Good food
The BEST Thai food restaurant! I’ve been coming here for the past few years and the food is amazing every single time. My personal favorite is the panang curry, so savory with the fluffy white rice.
Loved the food. Tried a few and this was a delightful experience.
The spice level was well adjusted.
Must try.
Hello all! We went there for my sister's birthday on 2/10/23. Let me tell you, what a big mistake! The waitress was extremely rude and even suggested at looking up questions on google when asked about food. The food was the worst I have tasted in the US and in Thailand. Not sure if what I ate was actual Thai food. Never again, will I go there for fake and absolutely terrible food. Lastly. they charged us a 30% gratuity......wow! I would have done my standard 20% anyways. and I don't really care about the difference in money, but it was just adding more insult to the already damaging experience. DO NOT GO HERE! Save your money and time. This place will go out of business soon.....hopefully!
Go here for lunch often, always tastes so good!
AMAZING! great communication, held my 14 person party, food tasted amazing, I really recommend! Thank y’all so much.
I love this place, been coming here for almost 2 years. Everything is great, and we had gotten up and left forgetting a take out drink and our server came to our car with it! Don’t know his name, but that was really great service.
Awesome food! Good service
WOW for vegetarians!
Gotta start off with the Tom kha soup, this is one of the best thai style soups I’ve ever had and sooooo flavorful!
Follow that up with their panang curry and you’ll be in heaven. Great local small family restaurant with lovely ambiance and decor. Perfect for lunch or dinner great portion sizes and very satisfying food!
Best food in the area, by far. The staff is super chill and the owner/manager is passionate about the restaurant (and it shows).
Most of the new waiters had no clue what they are doing. Missing orders, long waits... Miss the previous team.
Voted BEST restaurant in Addison ‼️ Thai Orchid brings you one of the most authentic and delicious Thai food in town with good ambience and excellent service. This spot has my heart already from that first sip of Thai Tea up to my last bite of Mango & Sticky Rice, everything was just fantastic. Their spice levels ranges from 1 to 5 for their dishes and we got spice level 4 for both our entrees and it had that perfect spice kick to it that hits the spot! Now I understand why there’s a lot of people dining in, grabbing some take outs or for delivery when we came in, this place is just seriously on another level! 🔥

Quality spot for lunch. Good thai tea.
Made a reservation for Christmas and restaurant was closed
The food is fantastic- seems authentic- wait staff are always friendly - bathrooms could be updated. But overall very much enjoyed
Great food, great sake, and great atmosphere.
The restaurant was cute and had a nice interior. Not too busy and enough spacing between tables! The Thai garlic and cashew entrees were good but we felt that the onions and bell peppers were kinda undercooked compared to other Thai food we have tried. Loved the sauces, proteins ( tofu and chicken), and portion sizes though. Soup of the day and spring rolls were also good. Service was great, waiters were polite, attentive, and very quick.
Loved the pad thai and pineapple fried rice. Highly recommend this place. Great ambiance, clean and amazing customer service.
THE BEST THAI FOOD IN DALLAS. Server are very good and know how take care of their customers as well as treat them with respect. Came here with me and my friends after school it’s a 20 minute drive from Dallas Oak Cliff but definitely worth it for some authentic Asian food.
Fantastic food , great service, and locally owned. The owners are ethnic so the recipes seem to be in family.
Just ate here for lunch! Sophia, our waiter was attentive and made sure to check on our table a lot
This place i feel is racist because the waiter Sophia didn't bother to look over to the table a friend and i were sitting at. She didn’t bother to even come ask if we were ready if we needed anything else of we needed our check. I had to get up myself to get someones attention. We are minority and she had no problem speaking to the people who arent.
We were the only minorities there and the server, Sophia, ignored us the entire time. She was very attentive to everyone else except us. Never coming here again. Felt racially motivated. Other than that, the food was good.
Visiting from Indiana and this Thai food was THE best my daughter and I have had in a very long time. The service and friendliness of the staff was exceptional and the food itself was stellar. If you are in the mood for GOOD Thai food and in the Addison area of Texas please stop in and try Thai Orchid. We had the spring Rolls on the recommendation of the server along with Pad See Ew(daughter) and Pad Thai(me). My daughter asked for level 4 spicy and it was hot and delicious. She will be going back and I will too on my next visit to Texas. A++ for this restaurant.
