I do apologize im not good at remembering names but she's very knowledgeable with everything on the menu. The food there is amazing, tea and drinks are also very delicious. This places is authentically fully blown with flavors i love. Highly recommended

Every time I'm in Virginia Beach, I try to go to Tida Thai. The papaya salad, panang curry, and prik king is amazing. Check them out if you haven't been here!!

My gf and I decided to try the dine-in experience tonight, it was so worth it. I know their basil fried rice is good from ordering it via door dash before. Tonight, we had the crab wontons, Tom Kha soup, Pad Thai, Prik Pow stir fry, and sticky rice for dessert. All of it was amazing. Our server was on point with making sure we didn't go without anything we needed. Now I know where my go-to spot for Thai is in VB. Keep it up!

I’ve been coming here at least once a week for the past year and Tida never disappoints!

The dishes are phenomenal, the staff is prompt & present, the seating is comfortable, and the ambiance is as authentic as it can get.

Even on busy days where there is an extended wait due to a packed house - which I’ve run into a few times, everything is still enjoyable and more than worth the wait.

Delicious food especially the shrimp and grilled chicken appetizers and the Hawaiian noodles. My favorite was the cellophane noodles. The waitress was amazing, very helpful. I came here with my See Your City Connect Group from church and we had so much fun!

Their dumplings are very good! I also ordered the basil fried rice with shrimp which was tasty and the perfect level of spiciness. I only gave four stars because they left the shrimp tail shells on (a minor pet peeve on my part), but I would definitely go back to try another dish!

Nothing I ordered I would ever go back for, my spring roll was Romain lettuce in rice paper vinegar and peanut as a sauce.

Been going here for over 10 years. Great food and mostly good service (a couple bad servers who took ages to take your to go order). Menu can be deceiving on some dishes (doesn't let you know every item that's included). No place is perfect though. This restaurant is close to perfect if you love Thai food!

Today was a real treat for me because I had not eaten here in SO many years... I treated myself after church. And of course the food was absolutely delectable and perfectly cooked! The BEST Thai food!! Also I felt so bad for the server because was all by herself on a SUNDAY! But even though she was the only one working, she never missed a beat. Everyone (including myself) did not miss out on having the best service. I even told her "it's ok, you don't have to run", when she was coming to my table. Lol!! She is so sweet and welcoming. 🥰

Oh my wow I love this place!! A friend of mine told me about it and we met there to eat with other friends. Had the dumplings as an appetizer and some noodles that were kind of sweet (forgot the name) with chopped peanuts sprinkled on top that was OUTSTANDING!!! Nice calm and relaxing atmosphere. Great for lunch and dinner whether eating alone, with friends, or nice date night. This is definitely my go to spot for the best Thai food!

First time trying this place and from what I got the food is not bad at all. I got the chicken pad Thai and chicken garden rolls and they are absolutely delicious. You get a very nice portions definitely worth thr money I spent. Definitely give this place a try if yourbin the area.

Crab Wontons are the best in the area. Bamboo stir fry with Tofu was also a hit 🔥 ☄️🧨Great service and relaxing atmosphere.

Tried this place for lunch and holy cow, everything was amazing. The service was quick and very friendly! Prices are fair for the amazing quality you get. Tom Yum - BANGIN'. Beef kra pao - BANGIN' Thai tea - guess what - BANGIN'. Already my new local favorite, can't wait to try more dishes.

Went here for a work dinner service was 10/10 the waiters were extremely attentive & welcoming. Food was delicious, we got an array of food ranging from duck curry, pad thai noodles, drunken noodles, sticky rice & mangos, pineapple shrimp fried rice and spicy beef etc, it was all DELICIOUS!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND COMING HERE IF YOU HAVEN'T, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!

It's a great dinner spot. Not super crowded even on a Friday night. The service is great and the food as well.
This restaurant gets 3 out of 5 stars because if you order the take out, it is just as expensive but the portions are abysmal given the price, much less than while dining in. I've had this experience multiple times now during the pandemic and since. Take-out from here is a huge rip-off.

Great service and small joint atmosphere. Their food is usually packed with flavor and everything is fresh and cooked well. Their mango sticky rice is amazing. Their Penang Curry is always delicious. Sometimes it is mostly heat and a little less of a peanut and depth of other flavor. It can feel a little pricey.

The best thai in town.

I'm not sure if my husband and I experienced bad service or just plain ol racism. but we definitely left this establishment unsatisfied. We waited over an hour for our food. We patiently waited and watched other tables come in after us and received their food before us. This was very insulting and frustrating to watch. Especially with me being 9 months pregnant! When we asked the waitress about the status of our food she stated our food was delayed because we ordered appetizers. However a table came in well after us and received their appetizers the same time as us and they received their entrees the same time as us. I'm not sure if the waitress didn't think we were worthy of the same service as the other tables but my husband and I will never dine here again!

I’ve ordered from here a couple times. The first time was decent (though my wife wasn’t impressed) and the second time the dish was quite flavorless. At the prices they charge, definitely not worth it. I called to give them feedback about the dish and they said “must’ve been an off night” with no offer of “we’ll make it right”. I will not go back.

I ordered pad Thai and some spring rolls for takeout. Food was hot when I picked it up and very delicious to eat when I got home. The pad Thai serving was enough for 2-3 people. However, the spring rolls were so good I ate them all myself! I will definitely be visiting here again.

Real thai taste

I've been to 2 of their locations and this is the older of the 2. Food is great and my go to dish is their chicken kapao. In case you don't know, they have 2 versions of this dish and I like them both. One comes with fried egg and minced chicken. Today I had the regular kapao.

The atmosphere was nice and the food was alright. We had to wait a little long to be seated, but the waitress was very welcoming and nice. On the tea they fold the straw wrapper into a rose which was a very nice touch. It wasn’t the best Thai food I’ve ever had, but it was good.

What a great feeling when you go to a restaurant and ends up being amazing. Outside Thailand…best Thai restaurant ever!!!

This place is amazing. Great service, ambience and clean restaurant. The food is savory, spicy and authentic. The curry is spicy so be careful. I love, love love the Thai tea lemon refresher and the green papaya salad. The Tom Yum soup is delish. I always get the green curry with chicken or shrimp, so delicious. I recommend you giving this hidden gem a try. You won't be sorry.

I ordered Pad Thai with Tofu and it was not good. It seemed like they used stale, old ingredients. The dish had an unpleasant smell. i wonder if they used rancid old oil to cook. I was hungry, and could stomach a small portion of my food by adding spices. My stomach was not happy afterwards. I should have walked away after the first bite. I will never go to this place again. The lady working there wasn't very friendly.

Best Thai food around and seems to be the most authentic. Chicken pad thai and a Thai tea are my favorite. I have tried many other places but this place is the best. I'll drive an extra 15 mins to go hear instead of thia restaurants closer to me. I used to eat here every week for lunch, sometimes twice, before the pandemic when i wasnt working from home and it was close by.

So disappointed in this place. I wanted Kai Jiao and they were able to make it. However I later found out I needed pay for rice. How can you eat Kai Jiao without rice?! To top it off, the egg was just a plain flat egg. No chicken, no vegetables, nothing. Just egg and rice which I could have made at home. I’m sure other places can do a better job.

I ordered the pad Thai and spring rolls. Shortly after eating I had the worst stomach ache... Turns out I got food poisoning from their food. I hate the idea of writing a review like this especially because thai food is my absolute favorite, but after no sleep last night and projectile vomiting 6 times the following morning I can tell you that I will not be eating here again. I don't wish that discomfort on my worst enemy. I wanted to curl up in a ball and die. Not sure how or why I got food poisoning from this place but keep that in mind when eating here.

Got my order wrong after telling them 3 times I was allergic to nuts. Food took forever when they weren't busy. Customers got served AFTER we got there. Extremely rude barely apologized and didn't even offer to correct the problem they caused. Very disappointing we just paid and left

A great place your Thai cuisine. Plenty of selections to choose from. Their noodle dishes are just right in that they're not saucy like some other places. Their Thai Iced Tea is not overly sweet and has the perfect balance of ingredients. The staff are polite and professional. They are following Covid guidelines. Recommended.

Outstanding food and atmosphere! They will adjust to your spice preference, or ask for the spice tray to add more spice yourself. The Thai tea is delicious and compliments their dishes perfectly. If you're looking for authentic Thai flavors, look nowhere else.

From the reviews I saw, I was very excited to try the shrimp Pad Thai, but I was pretty disappointed.

I should have checked my food because when I got home and opened it, there was no been sprouts and maybe 5 pieces of spring onion.

It was mostly noodles and 7 shrimp.

It tasted almost like a dessert, all I can taste is the sugar from the sauce. They don't advertise it as spice, but for Pad Thai I would expect a little spice to it.

I'll try them another day, I hope I just caught them at a bad time.

Also for the owner, please update your menus online. The prices don't match for what you offer.

I'm giving them 0 stars . Ordered tofu drunken noodles & it looked & tasted disgusting ! It must of been old or leftover food off someone's plate that they just reheated & served to me . I don't exactly know what happened in their kitchen , but the food looked and tasted awful . It was very gross so I only ate a little bit of it , but I still got a huge stomach ache afterwards . 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

It's been 6 years and I had to drive 2000 miles and it is just as good as I remember. This is the only Thai place I've been able to find that does spicy fried rice the right way. 10/10 would drive all the way out again.

I often make my own Thai papaya salad too so I know how it should taste. Now being stuck in a hotel close by for three days I was craving papaya salad. This was so sweet and I wish that they could of balance the taste with some more lime or fish sauce. I also had the chicken Larb and wasn’t too happy with it too. Another too sweet dish. There sticky rice was too hard too eat as if it was overcook or yesterday sticky rice just being reheated. I have been to lots of Laos and Thai restaurants. This one can use some improvement with their taste.

Such a hidden gem. It's situated behind Floor & Decor and could be easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. This was our first experience and I was blown away at how fresh and flavorful everything was. Dine-In seating is limited, but still very inviting. We did notice a lot of people picking up their To-Go orders, so that was nice to see. Without a doubt, some of the best Thai food in the area!!

Great tasting food... bit of a wait but understandable as the nature of thai food which is prepared fresh. We got the Tom yum soup, payapa salad, drunken noodles and pad thai.. All of which were excellent in taste and good quantity.

Tida Thai is beautifully decorated with great ambiance and background music. The menu has plenty of offerings and everything we ordered was delicious and attractively plated. The restaurant is clean and they are observing COVID protocols. We will definitely be back!

I fancy myself a fine drunken noodle connoisseur, and must say that this place rises to the top. Been eating hear for about 8 years and it is always great and consistent. My wife used to hate thai food, tried their Lychee Martini and was sold.

I can always count on fast and friendly service as well as tasty entrees. Thai Spicy Fried Rice is rich, flavorful and a delight every time.

I am 100% Thai, born and raised in Thailand. I can tell you that if you are looking for a great authentic Thai food —this is the place. Tida Thai has the most delicious Beef Salad and Seafood Lad Nar. My favorite dish is still the Crispy Fried Whole Red Snapper with Garlic Sauce.The large portions are awesome I usually take some home. This is best authentic Thai food with reasonable prices that you can find in the VAB!! And, five stars plus for the fun and attentive service!!

I have been coming here for years. They have consistently great food at good prices and the atmosphere is fun. They have the best crab wontons in Virginia Beach. Tonight I had the red snapper it was fantastic.

We don't normally hang out in this area but we were surprised by this place and how delicious and fresh all the food was. The food and service was hot and quick. The fresh spring rolls were tasty and refreshing, roast duck was awesome and very much worth the price and the pad thai soup was soooo yummy! The waitress and hostess were extremely nice and tentative. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Tom Yum Pak (Veggie) is awesome. I go during my lunch break and their very fast not much of wait. And i like the veggie spring rolls too. The Staff is very friendly.

Very good Thai restaurant; small hole-in-the-wall restaurant but with really good food. Their web info doesn't say it, but they are still observing no dine-in policy (as of 18 July 2020). I had my Panang Curry and my wife had her Pad Thai - both of us really enjoyed our dishes.

6/19/20- The Tom Yom soup was like water with citrus flavor that was not even spicy. Very disappointing.

Trying to pick up our order and no one is answering the phone. Spent $80 so we are pretty angry.

Great food but I can’t give them 5 stars because they don’t have a baby changing table! Please consider getting one so I don’t have to change my baby in the back of my car in the middle of a meal.

Food was delicious! Interior was so beautiful! The only issue I had was that the scallops tasted like they were frozen because they were chewy and rubbery. Besides that everything was fantastic! The sampler was perfect and I don’t like tofu but the fried tofu was delicious.

This is the second visit to Tida Thai Cuisine. The decor is tasteful and the facilities looked clean; however, the building itself is dated. The bathroom was clean and I could tell it was checked periodically to keep it tidy.

Tida has a vast menu with something for everybody. Vegetarian options are vast with tofu or vegetable substitutions for meat. This visits bill consisted of two orders of Papaya Salad, Fried Rice with extra Egg, Panang Curry with Tofu, and two kids meals - chicken, steamed rice, and broccoli. No beverages were purchased for a final total of about $59. Prices are fair and you receive a generous portion size.

I must note the kids meal presentation was tasteful. The rice was shaped like a mouse with peas as the eyes and carrots for the nose and mouth. The chicken was sliced thin and formed as a backdrop for the mouse formation with broccoli sprouting from the head of the mouse like hair. Really cute!

This place is worth a visit or two to make an assessment for yourself. Tida is on the Favorites list.

Food is served in nice porcelain plates with stainless steel utensils and the food presentation in the plate is as well very pleasant to the eye.
Water is good (they have a filter because it doesn't have any chlorine taste)
