Wonderful food, great atmosphere and quick service

Diner Review №5

First time at this place and everything was great. The restaurant is a little dated inside, but the quality of the and customer service outshines all of it. I had the volcano chicken with level 2 spice. It was SOOOO GOOD. Very good quality breaded chicken. Not the cheap super doughy one. Just enough slight spice. The Thai tea is also very very good. Good prices.
Pre warning! Service is a little slow but it’s a small crew so you have to be patient. Despite the wait they continually checked on us. And special shout out to the guy at the counter he was so sweet. Definitely will be my go to spot in Irving

Diner Review №6

Local family run restaurant with good food.

Diner Review №7

Very bad experience. We went in there and waited for about 30 mins and food wasn’t served yet. When we asked the waiter for the estimated time, he came back saying another 35-40 mins.

The waiter didn’t seem hygienic too.

We are glad we left and went to another cleaner and better place.

I live in the area and this has been our go to for 12 years!!! We have tried other spots around and they are good, it this place is AUTHENTIC, and even added my favorite dish to the menu after ordering it special for a while!! Pad Kra Pao.. With fried eggs on top! It’s soooo goood!!!
The family that run it are delightful and accommodating!
Always glad to see returning customers!
Always recommend this place 1ST!
P.S. I am picky when it comes to Thai food.. 😉

Diner Review №10

Excellent Food

Diner Review №11

I keep coming back to this place, especially for the drunken noodles. Really friendly service.

Diner Review №12

I have eaten a couple of times at this place. Located at a strip mall sitting in a row of Asian restaurants: Indian, Vietnamese, Thai (this one) and Sushi. I have not tried the other ones but all seem to have their own clientele.

As far as Thai E. San: the place is very unassuming, but food is very tasty. My wife had a Thai Basil Chicken dish (no pic) and I had their pineapple chicken curry (red curry based). It was delicious at a spicy level of 4. You will want to select heat level accordingly.

The Thai Basil Chicken was also very good, in any case both of us agreed the pineapple curry won the day.

We also had their pork dumplings (6 of them). For lunch portions it was more than we could eat so we took leftovers home.

Very reasonable price for the food value. $35 + tip.

It is within close distance of DFW. We will swing by again when we are back in the neighborhood.

Diner Review №13

Quiet and just delicious!

Diner Review №14

Delicious Thai pineapple fried rice and curry! I enjoyed the Thai coffee as well!
The staff was attentive and friendly.

Diner Review №15

Just some authentic Thai food that hits great every time! And I mean every time! And the owners are so nice. Go and enjoy this wonderful food and hospitality! You can't go wrong with any dish. My favorite is the crab fried rice where there's literally a whole crab worth of meat in the dish itself!

Listen! Please visit and ask Pat for the yellow curry chicken. I can ensure you that it’s gonna be a wonderful experience, especially in addition to adding spice level (two or three) I promise. :) Thank me later!

Diner Review №19

Came in for Wednesday night dinner. Ordered the fresh shrimp roll, chicken fried rice and chicken pad Thai (level 4 spicy). Food came out quickly and it was delicious! Best pad Thai I’ve had in DFW so far! Service was phenomenal! Definitely making this place a go to spot!

Diner Review №21

Food is a 10/10! Try the massaman curry with basil fried rice add pineapple. Anything you try is bound to be delicious, and the service is truly what made a memorable experience for me. The atmosphere at times can be hit or miss. Sometimes the restaurant is lacking in smell and needs an air freshener. The decor is outdated and has too many colors in their color palette so they may need help on their interior design, but that is minor flaw in comparison to their delicious food and great service. Give them a try!

Diner Review №22

Diner Review №23

We always try our favorite basil chicken fried rice. The flavors were too good.

Diner Review №24

Thai E San is undoubtedly one of the best spots for authentic Thai cuisine in Irving. Known for its mouthwatering red curry, this restaurant delivers not only on flavor but also on consistency, ensuring that every dish is as good as the last. The red curry is a standout – rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, it strikes an ideal balance of heat and flavor that will leave you craving more.

What sets Thai E San apart is the consistency in the quality of their dishes. The portions are generous, and the service is warm and attentive, making the overall experience better. Thai E San is a must-visit in Irving.

Diner Review №25

The man who answers the phone and is at the front desk has the best energy. He is a bright ray of sunshine. The people always make the place. AND the food…rocks. The curry and pad thai are favs.

Diner Review №27

AMAZING dining experience, best Thai food in Las Colinas! Super polite staff, family owned and operated, delicious food! I had the Spicy Beef stir fry basil, and I am still thinking about it a day later! Had an amazing ice cream dessert with some mystery chocolaty/peanut flavored drizzle. Delish!

Diner Review №28

THIS PLACE WENT FROM ONE OF THE BEST MY CO-WORKERS AND I ORDERED FROM TO NOW ONE OF THE WORST. AT FIRST, THEIR PRICES WERE REASONABLE, THEN THEY WEREN'T, SO WE STARTED ORDERING LESS AND LESS. THEN THE FOOD STARTED TO NOT BE GREAT ANYMORE. FOR INSTANCE, WE STOPPED ORDERING THEIR DUMPLINGS BECAUSE THEY CAME HARD AND LOOKED OLD, THIS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES. THEN OUR SALADS STARTED TO BE LESS AND LESS DESIREABLE. I KEPT TRYING TO GIVE THEM A CHANCE, TO GET BETTER, BUT THEY GOT WORSE. TODAY, I ORDERED A CHICKEN LARB SALAD WITH STEAMED WHITE RICE AND THEY WANTED $17 PLUS DOLLARS FOR IT. EACH TIME WE ORDER IT, IT GETS MORE EXPENSIVE. WHEN I WENT TO PICK UP THE ORDER, BECUASE THEY HAVE GOTTEN SO BAD LATELY, I CHECKED EVERYTHING BEFORE I PAID. THE LETTUCE WAS OLD, YELLOW, DISGUSTING. I TOLD THE OWNER GET ME FRESH LETTUCE OR I AM NOT PAYING FOR THIS. SHE DIDN'T HAVE THE FRESH LETTUCE, I WALKED OUT AND HENCE, THIS REVIEW. I NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE....THEY SERIOUSLY NEED TO GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER OR RISK LOSING MORE CLIENTS. WE GAVE THEM STEADY BUSINESS FOR A WHILE, BUT THAT WON'T BE HAPPENING ANY MORE.

Diner Review №29

My favorite Thai restaurant in DFW. Family run and they have the absolute best pad Thai. I also love their curries and khao soi. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean and casual. I try to visit every week from Grand Prairie.

Diner Review №31

Wow, what a surprise. Amazing food you can watch them freshly make in the semi-open kitchen. Run and cooked by the nicest family you’ll ever meet. Very accommodating to vegetarians and vegans. The drunken noodles, which can very oily at many places, was perfectly cooked and not oily.

Diner Review №32

Diner Review №33

Diner Review №34

The best Thai food from around Irving. I go again and again for their drunken noodles 🍝

Diner Review №35

We had Pad Thai with shrimp and basil fried rice with tofu. The food was delicious and service was good, we will definitely visit again.

Diner Review №36

This may be some of the best Thai food in the Metroplex. I have been twice and each time the food has been out of this world. We also brought guests who were impressed and can't wait to come back. The pad Thai was delicious with a nice tang from the tamarind and lime. I always get tofu, and it's fluffy and plentiful. Noodles were well cooked with a nice chew. Red curry is rich and spicy with a pleasant coconut taste. Khao soi - maybe my favorite dish so far - was fantastic. Rich curry broth and chewy flat wheat noodles. Drunken noodles were smokey and delicious with loads of egg, basil, and peppers. For appetizers, the satay was by far my favorite. Juicy grilled chicken marinated in curry and served with cucumbers and peanut sauce. Fried tofu is also delicious, as are the spring rolls.

This is a family run place, and recipes are homemade. You can taste the difference from other places in the care and quality of the food. I look forward to going again soon!

Diner Review №37

Rude female Asian server with issues.

Food not cooked properly.
Original male polite server took it to get new one. But
She came back with it. Tried but was burned on edge and not thawed inside.
Now ask her again and
She threw food away with attitude. left telling the guy. He was good and did not escalate.
And it smelled bad (@@@)there.

Diner Review №38

Amazing Thai food.

Best in Dallas! Try the crispy pad thai.

Diner Review №39

Good people with good service and it's a family owned business. The food here is great and no comparison to other thai places around Irving. Love the place and the family of 4 who ru. This place. God bless them.

Diner Review №43

It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this 5 star review. My fiance and I have been ordering from Thai E San ever since we first moved to Irving. We just bought our first house and are moving to a different city, but we both agree Thai E San is what we’ll miss the most about living here. The staff are some of the kindest, most comforting people I have ever met and the food is simply delicious. Easily the best Thai in town. We’ll miss you, Thai E San!!

Diner Review №44

We are so happy we tried Thai E San. The food was excellent. It took a few minutes for the entrée to arrive, but we received our drinks quickly, and a little salad with a creamy peanut dressing that was quite yummy. I had Tom Kha soup at level 3 spicy. That might be a little bit too spicy for most people. For my entrée, I had the Papaya salad, also at level 3 spicy. The Papaya salad was not as spicy as the soup, but the type of seasoning in the salad is very different from the soup, so it may have seemed mild in comparison when it was just different. The flavor of everything was marvelous, regardless. I had a few bites of my wife's dish, and I shared a bit of my Papaya salad with her. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

Diner Review №45

Dint meet my expectations

Diner Review №46

Try the mango sticky rice, you'll thank me! We eat here a lot and every time we do we are so pleased by our experience. The staff is so friendly and kind and the food is clearly made with love and care. Spice level is consistent, if you ask for a 2, you're getting a 2. Can't recommend this place enough.

Diner Review №47

Diner Review №48

Family run place with friendly service. Went here for lunch. All the menu items are available in veggie/tofu variations, making this perfect for vegetarians.
Had Spicy Basil (veggies) and Tom Kha soup. The portion size was good and enough for 2 people. A hidden gem.
Must try.

Diner Review №49

I have been here quite a few times and the food is always good. My favourites are their Pad Thai which is more tangy and tart with tamarind they way it is supposed to be than a lot of places do it. Their Khao soi is very good too.

Diner Review №50

After trying several dishes and finding some new favorites, I am raising the rating to 5 stars. Food is made to order and served hot and extremely tasty with spice heat level to your style. Plates are served in generous proportions. My favorites are Basil fried rice and Thai Ginger with chicken lvl 5. My son loves the Combo fried rice with shrimp, chicken and pork. Besides the food being great, the owner manager is Excellent. Very friendly and customer focused. Highly recommend Thai E San.

Diner Review №51

Horrible service, takes 55 minutes to get a fried rice with chicken. They only care about take out orders, don’t come here unless you want to be disappointed.

Diner Review №52

Updated 02/2024 : Service is pathetic. Food takes about 30 mins to arrive. Only 1 or 2 people taking orders / serving / managing the front desk. If you plan to order to-go they never pick up the phone. They Had good chilly oil as side which they discontinued. Not the same place any more. No proper Maintenance of the place. If you are ready to wait forever on your order visit this place.

Food taste is good and economical. Order your items one after other. If you give your order once they get everything at once including dessert and starters at same time. Before you complete our starter they get your check as well. So that you eat and get out ASAP.

Dear - Owner - doesn't seem convincing about your policy of that "getting check which having food that every one know what they are paying". I am sure you have Menu's where you have mentioned the prices of each item to be ordered. Which is sufficient to understand the amount we may pay. I hope no one has a dessert before main course.

Diner Review №53

Friendly staff. Very sub-par food. Appetizers very bad.

Diner Review №54

Great food and great service. Will be coming back!

Diner Review №55

Awesome!

Diner Review №56

This is our favorite Thai place between Irving and Southlake, and we’ve tried them all!

Diner Review №57

The massaman curry and chicken satay were amazing! Great service and was very reasonably priced.

Diner Review №58

Diner Review №59

Diner Review №60

Everything is delicious at this family-run establishment!

Diner Review №61

This restaurant has terrible service. They are always short staffed and they are more interested in serving takeout customers than dine-in customers. They stop taking orders at 8 PM on Fridays! Save your time and pick another restaurant. You will end up regretting your visit to this place.

Diner Review №62

Diner Review №63

Food is very good but the wait time for take out orders make it difficult to add it to the rotation for dinner. I have ordered take out 3 times and they exceed the prep time by 15-20 minutes every time. The restaurant has a odor of an overfilled toilet so waiting inside is not an option. The staff is non apologetic and almost upset that you showed up at the time that is quoted to you. Skip for take out or delivery and maybe dine in if they ever get the bathrooms fixed.

Diner Review №64

This place is a rip-off. Food is okay and overpriced. You get VERY little portions and everything is extra for addon. Got hardly any noodles and they sever on paper plates....really? GHETTO...
We will never come back.

Diner Review №65

Every single dish I have tried at Thai E San has been delicious! I normally order the pad see ew. I am currently part way through a bowl of the Tom Yum soup and I cannot wait to order it again. I will sometimes order and pick it up to take home to my husband; his favorite is the pad thai.

Other than the delicious food and excellent service, I also love that they have a lunch menu with smaller portions. I'd love to say that I get the lunch portion just to have a smaller portion, but no. I get it so I can order more than one item and have leftovers of different dishes. :) I cannot emphasize enough how good the food is.

Diner Review №66

Went there at noon for lunch with six people and didn't get our orders taken for a while. Food came out individually at different times with my meal arriving at 12:45. Definitely not quick because I think they're short-staffed. Food was okay. It did not taste like typical thai but it wasn't bad.

Diner Review №67

The best Thai food in all of Texas. Masaman curry or crunchy pad Thai if you want your mind blown.

The owners are kind, amazing people who put their heart and soul into their cooking and it shows. Every dish is cooked to perfection and tastes amazing, this place is truly miles above the rest. It's not even close.

Diner Review №70

Friendly reminder: come here when you think it’s time to eat, but not hungry. Cuz you’ll spend 40 minutes on waiting. (Only one table in front of you) Maybe I should order on Uber Eats. Looks like they make take out food ASAP.

Food taste good though.

Diner Review №71

The food was good. The service was a bit slow. There was only one server, and she had her hands full. There should have been another server. The kitchen was a bit slow, too. It took over an hour from the time I got there until the time I left and it takes me about 10 minutes to eat.

Diner Review №72

This is the place to go when you want to try real Thai dishes. You can almost see the aunties and unclea in the kitchen making their favorite dishes to share. Well worth visiting if you are in the area and want a quick bite. The costs are fair, and you get a lot per serving.
My personal favorite dishes are the larb chicken and papaya salad. The pad thai is also worth trying.

Diner Review №73

Food tastes good but the lunch portions are way too small and the item is way overpriced.

Diner Review №74

Delicious, clean and a great environment!!

From the moment I walked in, the environment was very clean, relaxed and there was music playing at a great level. The young lady working the counter was very sweet and instantly helpful. I spoke to her about 2 weeks ago for a big order and she kept it and remembered speaking with me. I placed some catering orders for a big office event in a few weeks. I will update on that after.
Today, I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken plate, Basil Fried rice, an order of Spring Rolls and an order of Thai Donuts. Everything was delicious!! It was made fresh to order so it was all very hot and well prepared. It has great flavors and well balanced. I really enjoyed this whole experience.
During our transaction, I learned that this restaurant is a local, mom and pop restaurant. This is a family working here and they have built a fantastic business.
I def recommend and will definitely be back!!

Diner Review №75

I ordered Thai Garlic with chicken. Somehow the vegetables were undercooked and the chicken was overcooked. Thank god I ordered to go, because the restaurant smelled so strongly of sewage and garbage that I had to wait outside. They desperately need to fix their ventilation.

Diner Review №76

Good place for lunch.

Diner Review №77

We get Thai E San, almost once a week but lately the food amount is getting smaller and smaller then usual. We ordered fried rice and it looks like it was only half the amount. They also charge $1 for hot oil, they should be free. I've never been to a restaurant that charges for hot oil. Please keep the food at a good amount and quality so people can continue to eat here. We are so disappointed.

Very very salty fried rice and food.. They used to make perfect food and I waited for an hour until they opened to make a to go order. Then it was really big disappointment. I do not think I will go back to this place.

Diner Review №85

New to this side of town and trying new thai restaurant. This one will stay on the list. Fair price and tasty dish. Give it a try.

Diner Review №86

Food and drinks were all fantastic! Delicious food! Service was quick and staff were friendly and helpful, and professional!

Hate this place! Very bad experience. Waited for 45mins and still didn’t get the food.

Diner Review №91

i’ve had mango sticky rice in more than 15 DIFFERENT RESTAURANTS in THAILAND, and this beats every single one of them. ridiculously good. cold fresh mango, warm sweet sticky rice and coconut milk syrup with the perfect salty to sweet ratio.

out of this world, and the kra pow chicken, massaman curry and tom yum soup was delicious as well.

Diner Review №92

I’ve never dined in but I get pad thai here about once a week. It’s delicious and I like that the dish is not as heavy on the oil here compared to other restaurants in the area.

Thai Cuisine Streak for 4 consecutive Saturdays now. We had our Saturday dinner at this Thai restaurant after reading amazing reviews and photos on Google Maps. I'd give a review later on but let me just write my order. We ordered Fried Spring Rolls (served with plum sauce), Basil Fried Rice with Tofu and Extra Veggies, Drunken Noodles with Tofu and Extra Veggies, and Diet Soda/s.

Review:
The food was not up to par as mentioned in the Google Maps reviews. Plum sauce served with 6 Fried Spring Rolls was enough for just a single roll. We asked for another sauce and to my surprise, we were charged for it. As we asked for extra veggies in Drunken Noodles, I felt like we were just having veggies and tofu - very less drunken noodles. The only item that I liked was the Basil Fried rice.

Service:
The service was very poor. We had to get up, take a walk for a spoon or order a refill for the soda. Ideally, it should be them to keep checking on their customers if everything is good or they need something.

I have had thai food at multiple restaurants run by many local business owners and they have served authentic thai dishes per our taste /spice level but the food/ service we received at Thai E San Irving Restaurant were not up to the mark. To add, it's the experience that counts and now I am well aware of where I should not visit for my Thai food cravings.

Diner Review №96

Picked up Thai Fried Rice. Doesn’t taste good.
Salty and doesn’t taste like that it used to.

Diner Review №97

It's a nice and good restaurant with a good variety of Thai cuisine.

Diner Review №98

Great food. Try the tom yum soup, delicious 😋. Pineapple fried rice with beef, awesome dish plenty to share... or not.

Diner Review №99

I recently had the opportunity to try the drunken noodles at this place, based on a recommendation from a friend. I have to say, it was a truly delightful experience! The dish was bursting with flavor and had just the right amount of spice to add a delightful kick. The noodles were expertly cooked, offering a chewy texture that was very satisfying.

Moreover, the dish included a generous amount of fresh vegetables, including bell peppers and onions, which provided a satisfying crunch and complemented the flavors of the noodles and sauce perfectly. The portion size was more than adequate, leaving me feeling completely satiated.

Overall, I would highly recommend trying the drunken noodles at this place. It's definitely a dish that I'll be returning to again and again. Furthermore, the service at the restaurant was top-notch, which added to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience.

Thai E San is a top favorite in Las Colinas! The food is delicious and the employees are beyond friendly. We have always had a great experience at this restaurant 🤩

Diner Review №102

It’s tough to find good Thai food in Texas but this one hit the spot! I had the crispy pad thai and the chicken satay. Only criticism was that the satay was served on paper plates but i didnt feel that deserved a star deduction.

Not very good. Lacking flavor of traditional Thai food

Diner Review №108

Awesome place it’s very authentic and the food was amazing. The restaurant is all run and owned by a family. Word of advice call ahead if you’re doing a pickup

Diner Review №109

The food here is truly authentic. I have been to Thailand many times and this stands with any food I’ve had there. The Thai fried rice with nam plah pric (fish sauce with chilies), Pad See Ew, Panang, and Pad Kee Mao are all great choices. The staff are extremely nice and professional. This is my personal “go to” in DFW.

Diner Review №110

Great food. Had the yellow curry. Would definitely come back. Service was also very good.

Diner Review №111

I ordered tom yum soup to take away. According to the menu, they don't have many ingredients in it. But at home, I found that they did not put tomatoes in it. The soup had only two ingredients - green onions and chopped cheap champignons. I wonder if their chef has ever tasted a real tom yum soup? Soup doesn't just consist of water and tom yum pasta. Why whey are preparing this garbage and sell it like thai tom yum soup?

Diner Review №122

Thai food with best taste ever, friendly staff and good ambience. Thai basil friend rice with tofu is our favorite. Chicken Satai 🍗 is grilled and tastes yummy 😋

Thai tea also one of the best and must try!!

Diner Review №123

I've been to this restaurant several times before but tonight was par excellence!

The food tasted its best - yummy Thai food after a long time and service was top notch.

Food : The meal started with a complimentary cup of Miso soup. The combination platter of dumplings, pod stickers, rangoons and rolls are the perfect appetizer. The crab rangoons need a special mention. All the food preparation hit the right taste buds and was truly authentic. Do try the Thai Fried rice and ask for a spice level of 4, if you enjoy hot food.

Service : was amazing - with a lot of smiles! Fast, efficient and personalized. Family owned establishments like Thai E San go that extra mile with personalized service.

Ambience : The tables are not cramped and offers a simple and homely feel. There is parking available at all times.

Pricing : Moderate

Will I return? : Absolutely! This restaurant is definitely on my repeat list.

Diner Review №124

I've been here many times. The food is always delicious and it is very reasonably priced! Panang Curry and Pad Kee Mow are my goto dishes, but I haven't been disappointed with anything. Depending on the lunch rush, service time can be inconsistent.

Diner Review №125

We get takeout every Saturday. Every Saturday. It is a bad week if we have to miss!!! BEST THAI in the area!!!!!

Diner Review №126

Diner Review №127

First of all, their food taste so flavorful and they don’t skimp on the spices and seasonings. They have the BEST pad thai and their fried rices are also so so delish. Their crab ragoon seems to have not a ton, but REAL crab meat in it….makes it sooo good! This is a family owed business and the whole family are some of the kindest people I know!

Diner Review №128

Food and customer service exceeded my expectations!!!!

Diner Review №129

This food is amazing!!!!

Diner Review №130

Best authentic Thai food in Dallas.

Diner Review №131

The food is quite tasty. Unfortunately kitchen is EXTREMmmmmmmeeeely slow. So unless you have plenty of time to wait, find some other restaurant that take less than an hour for your food.

Diner Review №132

We stumbled upon an amazing spot for Thai food. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant is a nice size with plenty of seating. The food was so good, with fresh ingredients and plenty of flavor. The portion sizes were very adequate. Thai E San is our new favorite Thai restaurant in Irving!

I highly recommend:
Tom Kha Soup w/Chicken (3 spicy out of 10)
Thai Peanut w/Chicken (3 spicy out of 10)
Papaya Salad (3 spicy out of 10)

Diner Review №133

Diner Review №134

Their food was great actually. Bad experience due to ordering the papaya salad thinking it was going to have shrimp on it as advertised on their menu. I picked up my food and didn't have shrimp on it, and I called back to ask about the shrimp, where I was told that they didn't serve their papaya salad with shrimp anymore and they haven't updated their menus. Here I am checking the menu again almost 4 weeks later and they still haven't updated their menus. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!

Diner Review №135

We liked the food here. They are flexible in making things vegetarian which is important to us.

Diner Review №136

Diner Review №137

This is a great spot with extremely friendly service and very delicious food. I got the pad see ew with beef, spicy 3 out of 5, which for me was the perfect blend of spice and savory. I would highly recommend this if you are in the mood for delicious Thai.

Diner Review №138

Amazing spot for Thai food. The portion size was more than enough and the quality of the ingredients exceeded my expectations. Thai E San quickly turned into my new favorite Thai restaurant in the Dallas area!

Ordered:
Tom Yum Soup w/ Shrimp
Basil Chicken Fried Rice
Beef Drunken Noodles
Khao Soi

Diner Review №139

The best Thai food in the area. There are many of them but this one is hands down the best, Its consistently tasty….

The fried rice top tier, it’s seems to be a family run operation. The two that are in the kitchen work with such elegance, you know the food is going to be good every time.

Diner Review №140

Diner Review №141

Best Thai cuisine in town for sure

Diner Review №142

I ordered dinner for my family of four based on their online menu. Their menu clearly states that the dish comes with a side salad. When I got home I realized they had not included any so I contacted them. The lady who picked up was rude and dismissive. She never offered to make it right. Since this place clearly doesn’t care about their customers I will never order again from there.

Diner Review №143

Tasty Thai food

Diner Review №144

I’ve been here several times and the food is always so delicious. The spicy fried rice is delicious with a distinct smokey and flavorful taste. Their friendly customer service is a plus as well. I only have one suggestion, definitely bring out the appetizer before the main dish because it’s hard eating several dishes at once. Everything else is wonderful!

We love their crispy pad thai! It's so tasty and crunchy! Foods are awesome, the place is clean, and customer service is excellent! One of the best Thai restaurant in town!

Diner Review №146

Had been wanting to try this place out for a while now, finally had the chance yesterday, and so glad we did! Everything was fantastic! They start out by bringing you a small complimentary salad with a peanut dressing that was pretty tasty. I didn't get a picture of it, though.
The spring rolls were fresh out the deep fryer... perfectly hot, crispy, and delicious served with their plum sauce. The crab fried rice was made with REAL lump crab meat (I made sure to ask when ordering as I DO NOT like imitation crab) and it was just what I was looking for! Fresh, flavorful, and satisfying! My son had the chicken pad thai and it was just as tasty as everything else! It's served with lime cheeks for that extra razzle dazzle that really picks the dish up. I asked for extra lime cheeks to squeeze on my crab fried rice which really elevated the dish as well. We got a spice level of 3 (on a scale of 1-5) on both dishes and they were a wee bit too spicy for us but still enjoyable. Next time we'll ask for a 2, and there will most definitely be a next time! Service and atmosphere were on point as well, very friendly, clean, and inviting establishment. They have a really yummy and refreshing Thai coffee also. If you're in the mood for awesome Thai food, this is the spot! 👌

Great Thai cuisine in Irving. Food with good taste and fresh ingredients.

Diner Review №148

Quite simply, the best Thai food I have found ANYWHERE in the DFW metroplex in the 10+ years I have lived here.

Not only is the food fresh, amazing, and delicious, but the girl who always waits on me is literally the sweetest person I have ever encountered in the service industry, and all of the cooks/managers she works with (who are CLEARLY her parents/siblings/uncles/aunts/cousins/etc.) are all almost just as kind and extremely accommodating.

It's the type of place where the cook, manager, and your server all stand by, with bated breath (at a respectful distance, so as to not make you feel uncomfortable or on the spot), eagerly awaiting your reaction to the first bite.

It's quite obvious by their body language that their food is a source of great pride to them, and they want nothing more than their customers' full approval before they can feel good about it. Just a great place!

They also routinely would open the dining room just for me so I could eat my lunch there, despite the fact that they were technically closed for their post-lunch downtime/dinner prep. This always meant a GREAT deal to me, because it was completely unnecessary. But they were absolutely insistent, because I was a regular customer.

Ideally I would NEVER even consider asking to be served when a restaurant is closed, but it just so happened that my lunch break was at 2:30 everyday, which meant that making a special accommodation for me was the only way I would ever be able to eat there.

Since I had already been well established as a regular by the time my lunch break time had been changed, they just flat-out refused to take no for an answer when I tried to leave, once I realized that they were closed. After that first time, they would only let me leave once they had secured a PROMISE from me that I knock on the door any time I wanted to eat lunch during their post-lunch downtime.

Only after their repeated insistence that I continue to come for lunch despite my break being during the time they were closed every day, and only after they PROMISED me that they WOULD turn me away if it ever WAS inconvenient for them to serve me on any given day, did I reluctantly agree to this arrangement. Needless to say, I tipped a minimum of 30% every time I ate lunch there from that day forward!

Unfortunately, post-COVID they wound up closing my office down altogether, and having us permanently work 100% remote, so I haven't had much opportunity to eat there lately, since it's hard to justify driving all the way to Irving from McKinney just for food.

But I will DEFINITELY continue to go out of my way to give them my business anytime I am anywhere close to their neck of the woods during a mealtime! Not just my favorite Thai restaurant, but one of my favorite restaurants, period!

I just wanted to make sure that I give them the credit they are due. If you haven't done so already, and have a great love for authentic Thai cuisine, do yourself a favor and give Thai E San a try! I promise you won't regret it...

BTW - For those of you that are huge fans of spicy food like myself, I just wanted to make you aware that even though it's not on the menu anywhere, the server confided in me one day upon me placing my normal "five stars" order that unlike most Thai restaurants, they do not stop at five stars as a maximum spice level. In fact, they will go all the way up to "TWENTY-FIVE STARS" on the spice! I honestly had never even heard of such a thing, and felt quite honored to be let in on the secret.

Unfortunately, I have always found their "five stars" to be the PERFECT amount of spiciness (unlike literally every other Thai restaurant I have ever tried, where "five stars" has still been disappointingly underwhelming), so I have never had the cause, nor the opportunity to put their 25-star maximum to the test, but I still appreciate knowing that it's an option...

Great bang for your buck!

My goodness the drunken noodles and red curry (level 3 spice) definitely hit the spot. I travel to Irving for work and it can be difficult to find spots you love while on the road. Needless to say, I will be coming back. Although, I ordered it to-go their staff was very sweet.

Diner Review №151

Best Thai in Las collinas no doubt.
Very nice staff too.

Diner Review №153

Ordered to go, and my food was ready before the the expected time and the food was great. I wish the spring rolls where the size they used to be when this was Best Thai, but outside of that, the service was great.

Diner Review №154

We just ate here a few days ago and it is the best Pad Thai I have ever had. It had a sweetness to it which paired amazingly with the other flavors. I got a level 2, which had plenty of spice so be careful with the scale🤣 So good! We will definitely be back!

Diner Review №155

The basil fried rice, drunken noodles and pots tickets were really good

Diner Review №156

We order pad thai, cashew chicken and fried rice. All dishes are amazing :)

Diner Review №157

Love the Thai fried rice. I've had it with just about every meat on separate occasions, and it's super delicious every time.

Update.......... Update.......
As wonderful as the food is...,
They are most definitely lacking on business responsibility....
It's happened several times where I'm super excited to come eat... make a special trip across the city and they are closed during posted times that they are supposed to be open. Very frustrating and eventually this reputation will affect their business....

Update... 5/25/22...
It's been a few more months of visiting this location, and I definitely must take my hat off to them!
I'm very happy to report that every time I've visited, not only are they open, but they absolutely get everything right. Food, customer service, and it's a pleasure once again.

Diner Review №158

Fantastic! Highly recommend, had 4 different plates and 2 appetizers... Everything was amazing

I've been coming here for 3 years and can truly call them family. Best Thai ever!!!

They cook with the love in their heart and soul. You taste the love and of course freshness in every bite!

Diner Review №165

Friendly workers and good food 😌

Diner Review №166

I loved their fried rice, pad thai and glass noodle. 5 level of spiciness to pick makes it suitable for family orders. My new fav spot for Thai food

Diner Review №170

Fantastic food and quick service! I got the drunken noodle with spicy level 3 (out of 5) and it was perfect! Noodles soft but not mushy, and a spicy kick without being unbearable spicy. The satay chicken was tender and crisp!

Diner Review №171

Finally found some excellent Thai food in Texas!!

Diner Review №172

I don't give out a lot of 5 Stars, this was a really good experience. Pad Thai made fresh, wontons were deli too! Family owned and run. The Bro/Sis serve with hospitality and parents the cooked with incredible focus.

Diner Review №173

Being from New York with all the wonderful Thai places, this is seriously one of the best, if not the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to in the US. We try to come here every week. The service is always so friendly, there’s never a wait and the food is to incredible.

I always get the pad see ew shrimp and the tom kha soup with tofu, as well as the Thai iced tea. It always taste fresh and theres always leftovers because the portions are so generous!

Diner Review №174

The wonton soup was one of the best ive ever had in my life!! And it came with noodles and veggies!! I will definitely be coming back!

Diner Review №175

First I will start, the spring rolls and the yellow curry was absolutely delicious. Also, the lamps in this place are very unique and beautiful. Where they missed the mark quite a bit was being more consumed with the to go orders that were coming in than the actual patrons of the restaurant, as they seldomly checked on us. The wait time to get our food was about 40 minutes, with no updates regarding the status of our food. Once our food came out, mine was delicious but my boyfriend’s was bland, flavorless, and while he ordered a 5 level spicy my dish tasted spicier than his (I ordered a level 2 spicy dish). Needless to regrettably say, we won’t be coming back. I don’t quite grasp how they have been voted the best Thai restaurant in Irving several years back to back.

Diner Review №176

The food was solid. Good location. Should have tried this place sooner. Will be coming back.

Diner Review №177

Very delicious

Diner Review №178

I’m surprised this place has such a high rating.

It took over 1 hour to get our food and we had to chase down the waitress.

The food was okay. Entry was served on a paper plate. The complimentary salad was absolutely disgusting and embarrassing.

Diner Review №179

They canceled my order for no reason after 30 mins.

Diner Review №180

One of the best pad thai I tasted here but had lot’s of oil at the bottom. But a good place to eat

Diner Review №181

Diner Review №182

Super busy, staff was working very hard.

Diner Review №183

This place was VERY, VERY, VERY GOOD!🤤 My boyfriend and I had the curry and it was Unbelievable! The flavor was out of sight and their dumplings were delicious as well! I just wish they had their spring rolls in stock......😔 Other then that... FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!

Diner Review №184

40 minute wait for take out food. No thanks!

Diner Review №185

Diner Review №186

Best customer service, and smells and taste so good!

Diner Review №187

One of the tastiest Thai food around Irving.

We’ve been to this place as one of colleagues farewell lunch.

Ambience - simple and clean ambience and coolest lighting and nicely arranged tables.

Food - Ordered Thai chai with no ice and basil chicken fried rice with 5 rated spiciness. We got our food in 15-20 mins onto our table . Every item has good portion and very tastiest and freshest ever.

Service - The restaurant has coolest staff and their service is really appreciative.

Over all good place to have tastiest food.

Diner Review №188

Crab Fried rice is a must try. Chicken Pad Woon Sen is also good to try.

Diner Review №189

One of the better Thai places in the area.. loved their tom kha noodle soup

Diner Review №190

Horrible experience. Fried rice was too salty! Poor customer service. Ordered dumplings for appetizers and server ended up bringing the main course before we got them appetizers. Would never step food in there!

Diner Review №191

One of the better Thai restaurants we’ve had over the years! Casual location, friendly staff!

Diner Review №192

Very disappointed with my meal. Will not be going back.

Diner Review №193

Anytime go to for our family food cravings is Thai E San 😍 we loved every single vegetarian recipe we tried. They start with yummy complimentary salad with peanut sauce.
