Authentic Vietnamese and Thai cuisine
I have been eating here for so many years and there must be new owners. I get the seafood pad Thai and calamari . It is awful now. The last 3 times noodles over cooked. The portions are less. The calamari awful. Before the food was so delicious. It's like it's just thrown together now.
Our first visit was a total success! A very inviting dining area with a wonderfully comfortable atmosphere. Our server, Jane, was an absolute charm. She was right there to answer any question and quickly returned with answers to any question she wasn't sure of. We received our drinks promptly. The appetizers came out quick and were as refreshing as the title, "Fresh Summer Roll". The entres were spectacular in presentation; Sizzling Steak peaked many senses presenting beautifully with the sight and sounds of sizzling for our entire table; Mango Curry bowl steaming with wonderful smells and good portion; Bo Luc Loc full of color evenly dispursed with beef cooked to perfection and tenderness to melt on your tongue with a side of perfectly cooked white (Sticky) rice and great soy sauce; Pineapple Fried Rice combined with chicken begging for spoonfuls to be taken. The bathrooms are nice and roomy, clean, with modern fixtures. I totally recommend this restaurant for a wonderful experience of Vietnamese Thai food; to anyone. Great location for families, friends, date night. We will absolutely return soon!
I ordered Pad Kapow (Krapow?) and it was nothing like pad krapow that I had before.
Perhaps it was an americanized version. Anyway, it was very different from the original version and I felt a bit misled. Service and atmosphere were good.
The Pad Thai was unbelievably bland, overcooked, mushy and flavorless. The worst I've ever had and a complete waste of money. It took an insanely long time to get my food and I'm just disappointed all around. I had high hopes from the good rating but it completely let me down.
Went with my wife the food was good but we ordered 3 courses and they brought it all together. So you had no room at the table soup, summer rolls spring rolls, chef special dancing seafood, and shrimp vermicelli. And our waitress never came back even once until the bill came. This was Transit the Boulavard location hS never been this way. Kinda rushed our meal and we left feeling like we got the bums rush. Never going to that location again

Great
I felt so conflicted writing this review, on one hand, the pho my wife ordered tasted like just salt and water. It was horrible and I dare to say the worst I’ve ever had. However, on the other hand, I had the red curry, which was one of the best I’ve ever had. I think I cried while eating it, it was absolutely perfect and I had to lick the bowl at the end to get that last drop of curry. I ultimately decided the pure ecstasy I felt eating the red curry sufficiently drown out the pho experience. We finished with mango sticky rice, again a huge win. So lesson learned, never get Vietnamese food here, stick with Thai.
Get the Thai udon noodles or the pad see ew, but start with the fried spring rolls and calamari. Also the wine pours are generous and with a better wine list than you'd expect from a Thai place. To only order takeout from this restaurant is not to do it justice.

My favorite location

Everything is fresh and tasty
Bland. I waited at the bar for my food and many items were ice cold.
Excellent food and outstanding service.
Delicious food!!! I was expecting your typical Asian pho place, but omg it is beautiful decor, outdoor sitting a big A Plus and the food menu exquisite!!! Wonton soup and tempura Shrimp really good!
I come here a lot I enjoy this restaurant they have the best summer role I've ever had and the PHO is really goodI come here a lot I enjoy this restaurant they have the best summer role I've ever had and the PHO is really good
They are great here. The staff is so friendly. There are gluten free options u have to just tell them. I have never had a problem eating here and come frequently. U can take out or eat in
Delicious food and great service.
Great customer service friendly and awesome food
Don't eat here.
We went inside and it was dark and dingy. But what was truly off putting was the smell. It was a combo of mould and bleach. It smelled like dirty dishrags. Against what should have been common sense, we asked to sit outside anyhow. The waiter (male) was pleasant and friendly and took our order and gave us accurate info as to portion sizes etc. When the food came out, we ate and it was mostly competent though lacking some flavour. For reference, I have eaten Thai food in Toronto, Bankok, and have eaten at many Vietnamese friends' homes.
When my 10 year old complained of the texture and taste of her wonton soup, we thought she was being picky and asked to replace it. The (female) waitress, looked stunned as if no one had ever asked her before and very impolitely told us she would bring a different soup we had to order (and pay for), but would not remove this one (barely sampled) from the bill. We said no problem, and I made a mental note to deduct it from her tip. In fact, we had not even asked for that, she just went there. I have never been to a restaurant like that. Though sometimes there can be quibbling at the end, she was instead quite sure to bring it up, straightaway. Maybe race had something to do with it?
The "replacement" Tom Yum was not much better, and tasted like a can of light tomatoes with a lemon thrown in. I then decided to try the wonton soup, and sure enough, I was able to confirm the awful texture, and taste. i wonder if it had gone bad or they were serving from the previous day's leftovers? The crunchy veggie spring roll appetizers are anemic in portion -not price, and just as easily have come from a frozen package (actually frozen would have contained less oil, and tasted better).
The beef pad thai was okay, though short on meat, and I've had much better at a third of the price from trucks. The fried rice was competent -but just that- and I can make better at home.
The only positive thing I could say is that when I asked for hot sauce, they brought out a selection of three, all of which tasted different and were good.
Shameful, given I'd spent over $100 on lunch and had ordered many other dishes.
Well, remedy is no return visit and move on to the next place.
The food was very tasty, nice experience.
Friendly people and great food. Good place to spend an evening with friends.
Great food,,,Mango salad was excellent
Good all around Asian food which is hard to make grrrrrrr8
Great food, great service. I love Thai food, and this was one of the better Thai restaurants I have experienced.
Quality food.
Good food and customer service. Clean.
Food is fresh and delicious.
Went with family for our wedding anniversary. We were vegan and requested them not to add fish sauce in any of the curry. They exactly did add that in one of the curry; when we asked, they refused it. But I can smell it clearly either it was made of fish sauce or made in the same pan without cleaning it properly. The issue is not the fish smell on our entry but the extremely rude behavior of a female server. She was extremely rude and defensive and unpleasant. Kind of ruined the night; we ended up getting dinner at the nearby Moe's.
Friendly service, great food. Very enjoyable experience!
Our senior invited two of us to celebrate the last semester of the medical school. We have had dinners at the our favourite Williamsville location more than 20 times. And just on 1/16, we had a humiliating experience from a possibly new recruit male server. Our senior preordered a few dishes to surprise us, and took care of the bill and because it was a snow day, we thought of ordering more food to take home. Our usual veg tempura’s were oozing out oil, and sizzler’s were not served as sizzler’s. When we showed our concern to our server, he shrugged his shoulders and said may be the ‘chef is in rush’. We ignored and focused on our rest of the food as it had to be celebration. Then, a different server brought us bills, and I personally rounded it off, and didn’t feel to tip. Being myself a service provider, I expected he will ask for a feedback. But, strangely, he came in asking for 15-20% tip with an agitation and insulted us. When my friend went to him to share why we didn’t tip, he started yelling and pointing finger at me that I just rounded off. We tried to explain we’re not new, and it’s not usual, but his body language was very intimidating and aggressive. Frankly, it was highly unprofessional of him. After trying so hard to not leave with a sad experience, we had to leave. Definitely, the chef has changed, and the servers too. He is absolutely not a good fit for service and hospitality. I’m not sure if my review will be deleted, but the management should consider this for sure.
Unfortunately, the response too is so unprofessional with an email id that is non-valid. I’m very confident that in all my past dine-in experiences, I’ve tipped adequately, even 50% at times.
People come to restaurants to have good experience, and servers add that to families, and that’s when tip etiquette comes into role, not when they take out their aggression out of unrealistic expectation for a bad service, and make us feel intimidated.
I would have appreciated if he would have reciprocated the same respect I had for him when he put the blame on the chef, and we ignored his rude behaviour.
There is no compensation to disrespect, and the misbehaviour I received that day, except I can save a few people from getting insulted. Necessitating tips make the customer guilty of a bad service and not the servers. Dear Management, I wish you teach him the etiquette’s and value for a good service, rather than letting good customer go. This proves the non-ethical environment further. I’m happy for the good servers I had are gone from here.
Great food!
Love the food (vegan options) and staff. Only negative to this location is no matter what time of the year it is, it's like eating in freezer. I have to wear a coat inside.
Delicious, low key restaurant with the best service! We love the sizzling beef with broccoli.
One of our favorite places to get panang curry, vegetable spring rolls, and vegetable tempura.
Perfect food so tasty very welcoming staff we will definitely come back
I’ve always came in here for lunch often. But the way I was treated three days before Christmas really made me upset. My friend and I came in around dinner hours and of course there was no host standing at the front as Always, and we usually always sit ourselves. So we go in the back to one of the booths that I usually sit in when I usually come And for some reason the workers started looking at us like we were crazy, like it was some sort of issue! Yet they Still didn’t say anything! So about five minutes later A young Caucasian girl named Bri, Came up to us At the booth And said, you can’t sit here because it’s already reserved, and put a tiny reserved metal piece on the table where we sat! Mind you There was a Caucasian couple sitting next to us That started looking strange at us as well! So I said OK, but normally we always walk in and sit wherever we want so I was unaware that it was reserved because there was nothing that stating reserved on the table And there’s other people that’s sitting in the same area! So she was real blunt and nasty and said yeah I’m sorry you can’t sit here! But you can sit at a table! The whole situation seemed extremely racist might I add, We were the only two black women sitting in the entire packed restaurant! So then more people kept coming in and a lot of others kept leaving out, including the Caucasian couple that sat next to us in the booth who also left. And we were in there for An hour and a half, And no one sat at that booth The entire time we were there! So I was extremely upset about the attitude, the hostess Gave To us, especially when we are constantly there! I never even seen that young lady in there before, So I'm guessing since it was a bit more busy, They had different workers in There for the holidays! The way we were treated and moved and had the entire restaurant watching us and looking at what was transpiring really Made my best friend and I not want to come in there after that! I honestly feel like the hostess and some of the other workers need better Training because the way we Were talked to And had to move for no reason really just doesn’t sit well with us, especially when nobody came in to the supposedly reserved booth!
I have been exploring the menu, not just ordering pad Thai every time. Everything I try is great! I love the won ton soup, great favor with the green onions and cilantro. I also love the basil rice.
Wait staff are very attentive but not intrusive. Service is excellent. I had beef pho, it was a very good bowl of pho. I also had the summer roll that was excellent. I definitely recommend. It also looks like they have a nice bar and huge assortment of wines. It would be a nice place to take a date for a bite and a few drinks.
Red curry delicious
I have been to this establishment several times and each time I go I find another gem on the menu. My friend and I fight over who gets to keep the leftovers. The price is reasonable for the quality of food you consume and there's always more then enough in the portion size you select. Highly recommend this restaurant, each time I go my taste buds get excited in a anticipation. I am drooling just thinking about Saigon Bangkok as I write this. Sorry taste buds for the false alarm!
Updated: so happy this place is still around even after COVID. I haven't been here in five years and the food is still awesome!
Every time we are in Williamsville we HAVE to come here. They have amazing food!! We wish this restaurant was in Toronto.
There is absolutely nothing outstanding about this restaurant. Very disappointing experience. The only plus was the service, which was very good. Unfortunately, the food was not. To start with, the chicken satay was way overdone (totally dried out) and the Vietnamese pancake with shrimp was not even average. There were 2 little shrimp inside the pancake and the rest was mostly bean sprouts. Our main dinner was pretty bland, although it was better than the apps. Of course, it’s possible that it was just an off night. But with that said, I still can’t imagine wanting to go back here anytime soon. My wife and I dine out a bit more than the average couple and we’ve eaten at various Vietnamese Thai restaurants in WNY as well as in different parts of the country. This place is not one of the better ones we’ve been to. Save your money. There are at least 2 or 3 restaurants in the area with similar cuisine that are of much higher quality. I’m being generous with 3 stars. It’s more like 2+, but I’m adding a star because our server was wonderful. 😟😟
Nice food, but consistently an hour past their pickup time for take out orders.
Reliably delicious
Always 10 out of 10. Never have they messed up my vegan order. Consistency 100%. Always stop here when I'm in Buffalo. And when I lived here it was 1x a week haha. Dining area is nice, very open and family dining room like. All the fried rices are fire.
Check your takeout carefully!
As you can see, last week I paid for 2 mini pies but the order never even made it to the kitchen. I didn’t realize until I got home and put away the groceries that the order was incorrect. I tried calling but by then it was 9:25 and they weren’t answering the phone, probably because it was close to quitting time and they weren’t accepting anymore orders. They have a contact form on line and I left a message, including my name, email and order number, and a description of the problem. They didn’t respond.
This week I made a special trip there just to get resolution. I don’t live in the area. The young lady at the counter said that since it was a week ago, they already “closed out” the credit card and couldn’t refund my money. “Sorry”. But we can give you 2 pies (at that point I wasn’t so sure I wanted them) but, oh, “sorry, we’re out of them” you’ll have to come back another time. I explained that that wasn’t likely to happen as I don’t live nearby and had made a special trip to get this taken care of. “May I speak to someone with the authority to fix this?”. She walked back to the kitchen but came right back: “sorry”. So the manager couldn’t even come out to talk to an irate customer!
As I drove away I thought of things that they could have offered: a gift certificate, open the drawer and hand me the cash refund (I would have signed a receipt). But no, sorry. Yep, what a sorry way to handle a customer. So sad, and the food that I did get was good.
So check your order or you’ll be sorry, too!
Atmosphere is pleasant and inviting.
Servers are quick and polite.
Utensils are not good. Cheap chopsticks and metal soup spoon as opposed to ceramic make for an uncomfortable eating experience.
Food smells good, egg roll is overcooked. Evident they used packaged noodles as opposed to homemade.
Overall not bad for Americanized Vietnamese food, but definitely would not call this place genuine authentic.
The food and service have been fantastic every time we've visited.
Went here for a quick dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and service !
The Pho was amazing and the Thai Red curry was simply delectable!!
They have a nice wine selection and the Summer special Sangria goes very well with the spicy food !
Only thing which was a miss was the tempura shrimp , I have had much better ones than this but the accompanying dip was lip smacking !
I’ll return for sure to try more !
Wow! Wow! Wow! I have had my fair share of Vietnamese food, as well as many other Asian cuisines. But I was just amazed by the flavors and freshness presented to me here today! I started with their shrimp Tom Yum, followed by vegetarian spring rolls, and lastly the spicy chicken Takrai. I am so glad that I found this place. I will probably find it hard NOT to come here every time I am in Buffalo on business. My mind is blown. They hit a home run on everything I had. I ate inside but there looks like some very nice dining atmosphere on the patio. Well done Saigon Bangkok.
Always a great meal! Tons of variety and everything is delicious!
Definitely one of our favorites. We keep returning over and over.
Amazing food, Great service 👏🏼
Frequently miss items on takeout orders; despite request for a double-check. Alters the taste experience. They refund only for what is missing = poor customer service, compounded. We always include gratuity.
Tom Yum soup was delicious and service was great. Lots of choices on the menu.
Everything was as expected, the food was less flavorful than expected. Overall it was very good.
Good food, reasonable prices. What made it 5 stars is the service. Our waiter served the entire restaurant with a smile and no delays....one guy!
It has been years since i have seen service like that. Wow.
We we ignored on multiple occasions.
Exceptional food taste, quality, quantity and service. Had food w in 5 min. Delicious
Love everything about this place!!
Delicious! I'm not sure what's better, the food or the service! Either way, it can't be beat
I want to thank Joe for his superb service at Saigon Bangkok restaurant on Transit Road where I ordered the lunch specials vegetable 🥗 rolls with pickled veggies 🥕 and delicious dipping sauce and rice vermicelli stir fry with chicken 🍗! I also ordered a glass of rose wine 🍷 yum fun!
I just ordered takeout from this restaurant that includes four meals, but when I got home, I found that the Vietnamese noodle soup didn't have any noodles, only soup and bean sprouts. I called to complain, and the receptionist who answered the phone offered to refund me 3 dollars(the noodle soup costed me almost 16 dollars)or provide me with a lump of noodles next time. Are you kidding me? What's the point of giving me a lump of noodles next time when there were no noodles in my soup tonight? And her tone didn't seem to apologize for the inconvenience caused to the customer due to their negligence. It was a very bad customer experience. Guests who order takeout please check if the dishes are complete before leaving to avoid the same situation as mine.
Yummy my tummy! Love this place. Delicious Vietnamese and Thai food!
Like eating at the mall. Americanized Asian cuisine. Stick with the curry/spicy soups. They’re as good as anywhere. The rest is generally below par and a bit pricey for the quality. The service is rushed and generally impersonal except for one server who is a delight. The fried rice is dry and flavorless. I eat here as little as possible and only on mondays because my preferred asian restaurant is closed Mondays.
Our first visit was a total success! A very inviting dining area with a wonderfully comfortable atmosphere. Our server, Jane, was an absolute charm. She was right there to answer any question and quickly returned with answers to any question she wasn't sure of. We received our drinks promptly. Great location for families, friends, date night. We will absolutely return soon!
I have been here 2 times in the past month and it has not disappointed either time! I love the pad Thai with tofu and veggies, but my favorite part is that a spring roll comes with your dish! Customer service has been great both times. The only confusing part is that they expect you to seat yourself, but there is no sign anywhere for that.
Really nice server & food was delicious. It's not cheap but not super expensive.
Great ambience and excellent wait staff. Food is good too but on the smaller portion side compared to the price. Overall a good place for lunch or dinner with lots of options to choose from.
One of the best Thai places I've been to.
Everything was so flavorful and delicious!
Absolutely amazing.
Great place great food.
We ordered seafood pad Thai and shrimp pat kapow. When we revived our food, the accompanying rice was half full. The seafood pad Thai had barely any seafood in it. When we stopped in at the restaurant to report our dissatisfaction with the order, the owner was very rude and dismissed our concern and did not take any responsibility and denied any wrongdoing. They lost a customer and hopefully I can avoid other dissatisfied customers with this review.
Great new dishes to try
Will return!! Menu is almost overwhelming, but causes one to "want to return to try other food options".
Staff was very pleasant and understanding with our first visit. Also all staff share duties so as to better serve guests. Good use of time management and efficiency.
Modern atmosphere, very clean!
The food was excellent, the staff was very friendly and the restaurant was relaxing. Thank you!
Good food at reasonable prices and friendly service in a casual atmosphere
Delicious food. Loved the chicken coconut soup, the green curry, Saigon fried rice and pad kapow.
Good food, ok ambiance.
Absolutely amazing food!
The food is excellent 🙏🏽
Best Gluten Free Thai food in WNY.
We ordered takeout for the 1st time. And 1st time ever eating at this restaurant. We both got the PHO DAC Biet. I got shrimp on mine. I only got 1 piece of shrimp on it. I guess that's all you get lol. We also got Shrimp tempura. Everything was delicious. We would eat there again. It was a very cold night and Pho hit the spot. Only offer dine in and take out no delivery.
Any time we are in this area, we try to fit in a visit to Saigon Bangkok Restaurant.
Solid, really good ingredients, thoughtful preparation. Standouts include the crispy pancake, mango salad, and yellow curry. Been several times, always enjoy. Strong recommendation.
They choose to Not make their dishes Thai Hot, when requested by their customers. 😤 😕 🤨
Great options for meals. Friendly, attentive staff
Busy, lovely ambiance, absolutely delicious food, and at a very reasonable price!
Fabulous food and drinks, highly recommended
Based on Asian cultures, mask requirements at this time for them is just for not dealing with customers, because obviously you can see the workers they have in their back kitchen are not wearing masks. Nonetheless, the food is superb. Porks tastes tender than chicken breast. Forgot the pictures, I ate too fast.
Outstanding food and service!
Good food would definitely go back.
Food was delicious
Consistently delicious, good atmosphere, clean and nice staff.
Disappointed 😞...misleading menu. Order Thai roll and menu indicated 5pcs and only received 3pcs. Server said that rolls are rolled bigger...no difference for me from before.
I’d say taste is decent. However, for the summer roll, two rolls with only two shrimps, cut into halves, pretending to be more. Ridiculously, on the photo, one summer roll dish should have five rolls, with each roll having two shrimps. I understand there’s inflation. But probably not that severe so to shrink the dish so much. If you want to try, I’d say be prepared for the shrinking dishes.
Another reason for the three stars is for the dishes themselves. The beef in the Pho is too thick, and the soup is not hot enough. So it misses something that make it a unique mixed flavor from adding the basil, hot peppers and bean sprouts to the beef soup. I ‘d say it is a dish without care. The taste is just for a decent three stars.
Great dishes and kind service!
Nothing difference with Thai food in Thailand.
The food, service and all around experience was outstanding! I ordered the green curry with shrimp and white rice! WOW! It was absolutely delicious! My mom had the thai chicken rolls and tom gum soup with shrimp! So flavorful served very hot! We sat by the window to enjoy the sunshine but inside to also enoy the ac! Highly recommend eating at Saigon Bangok Maple and Transit rd!
When we first walked in it another typical but when our orders and we got to taste they were way better than what we had anticipated
The best
Went with friends for first time. The pho was so good I'm sure I'll go back. The spring rolls were crunchy on outside and warm and soft on inside. The wait staff were patient and answered all our questions. This made our meals even better.
Food is excellent
This is a beautiful restaurant that had indoor and outdoor seating with a nice bar area. I was surprised by how empty the place was but probably due to covid they've been doing a very good takeout business as there were many bags ready to be picked up along the edge of the bar. Food was cooked quickly and was delicious. We had the Pad Thai and the flavor was outstanding.
Great place. Great wait staff and fantastic food. Our goto spot for dinner out wirh fam and friends
Slow seemingly confused service. Lots of staff around but looking at each other like they didn't know who should serve me. Once I was served things were better. I had Pad Thai and it was very good.
No one answers the phone when you call to place a to go order. Instead, the answering system tells you to go to their website to order online. Except online ordering is down on their website... at 6:30 pm on a Tuesday. Who is too busy to take a to go order on a Tuesday?!
I see other people have mentioned this and nothing has been done. I hope businesses recognize what a bad impression this leaves.
Tasty. Rivaled some of the best in Bangkok! Ask for a little spicier, if you like it. We had Thai TomKai Gai soup, fried springrolls, satay, papaya salad(yummy) and pineapple fried rice. All good and fresh, even the pineapple. Didn't think we'd have fresh papaya salad in Buffalo. Good service. Enjoy!!!!
Fantastic food, the soup was great!
Pho was very good.
Great food, have ordered many times consistently delicious.
Very friendly and clean
Absolutely delicious best Thai I have had in a long time. 😋
Just tried once and loved it
Food was very good, service was friendly and fast. Food came out quickly and so did the bill.
Magnificent Pho. Fantastic service.
Excellent Service.
Fresh Produce.
Clean Restaurant.
I just wanted a bit more flavor in my entree.
But, Because my waiter was excellent I would definitely go back and try a few more dishes.
